Hello everybody! This is Lara
Today I'm going to tell you 3 secrets of BTS - Mic Drop song
Maybe you would know, but I'm very sure that

So... let's get into this!
But before I start the video
Are you a fan of BTS who lives in America?
Or are you a Kpop fan in general who lives in America?
If you are, GOOD NEWS!
There's a Kpop fan gathering event on Saturday March 31st in LA
This event is called, AMINO SPACES
and I think it's a good chance for all kpop lovers
you know, unless you are living in Korea
It's really hard to meet many friends who are into Kpop
around you, in your daily lives
but if you participate in this event
You'll get to see many Kpop fans who live in America!
So if you are willing to go to this event
Please click the link in the description box!
You should register if you want to participate,
so make sure to check out the link
Hope you can find a good Kpop friend in the event!
Now let's start the video!
So what are the three secrets of BTS - Mic Drop?
The first secret!
Someone says my spoon is filthy
I don't care when I grab MC
I beat them who got golden spoons
Why are they talking about spoons?
'sujeo' means a spoon in Korean
If you listen to the lyrics
They said "My spoon is filthy"
"when I grab MC I beat them who got golden spoons"
The reason they are talking about spoons!
In Korea, we divide social classes
social hierarchy....
we divide it with spoons
For example
People who are super duper rich!
We say they have the golden spoons
Their spoons are made of gold
But people who are the poorest
We say they have spoons made of dirt
so we call, "dirt spoon 흙수저"
A dirt spoon is the lowest,
a bronze spoon comes next, and a silver spoon comes next
and the gold spoon is the highest
but we compare a gold spoon and the dirt spoon a lot
So, "I can beat the gold spoons up when I have MIC"
It means, "If I have mic, they are nothing"
This part is the very first part of the lyrics
so I think many of you already knew!
of at least you could have searched!
If you knew this spoon class theory already,
Please let me know on the comments
I'm really curious how many of you already knew this
Then what's the second secret?
Do it instead of me,
duties I couldn't do as a child(for my parent)
our concerts never had a grape
"Our concerts never had a grape"
Why suddenly did they say "no grapes in the concerts!"
Let me show you the screen of how Koreans buy concert tickets
This is the ticketing screen
You can tell there are whites and purples
White squares are the seats that are taken already
Purples are the vacant seats yet
Those look like grapes
so Kpop fans in Korea started to call these as grapes
and if there's no single grape in the concert,
that concert would be a huge success
"Our concerts never had a grape"
that means their concerts never had a vacancy
The third secret!
This could be the easiest secret among 3 I'm telling you today
But I chose this
because I gave you a Korean lesson few months ago about this
This part it is!
Gae hang bok!!!! (개행복)
What is Gae hang bok?
In Korea, "GAE" is used for exaggerating somethings
but this expression isn't a "good" expression
I mean, you'd better not to use this expression in front of your parents
or in the business situation
For example, if you want to say "I'm hungry~ bae go pa"
and if you want to exaggerate it more than just bae go pa (I'm hungry)
You can say "neo mu hungry" or "jin cha hungry" in the nice way
but when you are talking with your friends,
we don't need to speak THAT nicely!
so in that situation, you can say GAE bae go pa(hungry)
Ah Gae hungry~~
