Hello and welcome back to Life's Biggest Questions, I'm Ron McKenzie-Lefurgey.

Following the successful launch of the SpaceX Falcon Heavy Rocket, the world's attention

is now on Elon Musk even more than before.

Many are just waiting for the next technological innovation he'll bring us, and he is quickly

becoming one of the best-respected minds in the world.

But will the contributions of this real-life Tony Stark be enough to change the world for

good?

Let's explore.

Now get ready, it's time to ask the question: Will Elon Musk Change the World?

Well, if we're trying to determine whether or not he'll change the world, we should

probably start by looking at what he's done already.

And, well, he's already changed the world a fair bit.

First and foremost, we should start with Tesla Motors.

Tesla has grown enormously in a very short time, with stocks increasing almost 700 percent

in just two and a half years.

These 100% electric cars are without a doubt the way of the future, and will allow us to

greatly lower emissions moving forward as they become more accessible.

Furthermore, Tesla is putting a good deal of time and money into automation, which is

another aspect of car travel that seems to be inevitable.

Musk was also highly influential in Paypal, after his company X.com merged with Confinity.

After the merger, Paypal made great strides, becoming a powerhouse in online payments before

being bought by eBay for a whopping 1.5 billion dollars.

Musk's improvements to Paypal not only made it more popular, but aspects have been used

in later e-payment services as well.

And then, of course, there's SpaceX.

SpaceX is making incredible steps in the advancement of space technology.

It launched 18 successful Falcon 9 flights in 2017, and the recent Falcon Heavy launch

has changed the way we look at rockets, by allowing many previously-disposable parts

to be reused.

This has both reinvigorated the desire for space travel in the people of Earth, and opened

up opportunities for commercial space travel.

Musk plans to lower the cost of human spaceflight by a factor of 10, and even hopes to have

a colony on Mars by 2040.

Needless to say, if he achieves these goals, the world will be a very, very different place.

Perhaps the most influential aspect of Musk's involvement is the Musk Foundation.

This is an organization with the goal of supporting young minds.

It funds various studies into beneficial areas, like renewable energy and childhood diseases

and disorders.

While the organization is still relatively new, in years to come it could bring us even

more innovation than Musk himself brings, since it will allow many others to work on

their great ideas when they otherwise might not have been able to.

Clearly, Elon Musk is one busy fella.

Some would argue that he's already greatly change the world with just those innovations,

but he is far from finished.

So, what does Mr. Musk have planned for years to come?

One particularly exciting project that Musk has been attempting to sort out is the Hyperloop.

This involves a system of tubes through which a pod can travel with minimal friction or

air resistance.

It's believed that this solar-powered system could allow people to travel up to 800 miles

an hour, even faster than air travel.

This would greatly change the way people travel, at least domestically, and would go a long

way in slashing commute times and emissions.

Unfortunately, many believe this is unlikely to work, but that hasn't stopped Musk from

continuing to try, even open sourcing it to get as many minds on it as possible.

Furthermore, as a lover of the film Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, I must take a moment to

mention his idea for a transformable car.

This is a car that can drive on land, and transform to work underwater.

This is probably among the least world-changing of his potential inventions, but it IS the

most James Bond-like of his inventions.

It's awesome.

Speaking of Bond, Musk's Electric Jet also has a certain superspy aspect to it.

While work has yet to begin on it, Musk has stated that he hopes to build an electric

supersonic jet that could take-off and land vertically, like a helicopter.

This would allow for much smaller runways, and better optimization of space in airports.

Plus, as with the previous point, it's awesome.

Another contribution of his will likely be in the work of SolarCity.

SolarCity merged with Tesla Inc in 2016, and Musk plans to use their infrastructure to

make solar energy far more prevalent.

Knowing Musk, this could well prove to take some power away from big oil, and make renewable

energy cheaper, easier, and more effective.

This would, of course, do wonders for the environment, and considering how pressing

climate change is at this time, there isn't a moment to lose.

That said, one of Musk's most significant contributions may not be an invention or innovation,

but rather the prevention of certain innovations.

Artificial Intelligence has many scientists and engineers worried about the possibility

of AI taking over the world, and Musk is among those concerned about the future of it.

This could be instrumental in preventing the creation of dangerous AI, should that fear

take form.

And now we return to our question: Will Elon Musk Change the World?

Well, based on the evidence, it's pretty undeniable that he has changed the world considerably,

and likely will continue to do so.

Even if, God forbid, Musk were to die today, his incredible contributions thus far would

have been enough to let him go down in history.

But with even more exciting projects on the way, not to mention essentially infinite financial

backing, it's safe to say that the best is yet to come.

While for most people, words are cheap, Elon Musk has a habit of putting his money, and

his brains, where his mouth is.

So many of his proposed plans, if feasible, may well come to fruition, and change the

world a great deal.

Thrusters That Eat Teflon! | Pulsed Plasma Thrusters - Duration: 5:55.

While traveling in space, one of the hardest things to do is, stop. Or change direction.

Without anything to push against or friction to slow things down, spacecraft need to do

all the hard work of changing their speed or path.

And sometimes they do that in ways you'd never expect: like by vaporizing Teflon.

They're called pulsed plasma thrusters, and they can use the same stuff that's on

your frying pan to make spacecraft zoom around the universe. And they've been doing it

since the 1960s.

To make basically any move in space, satellites rely on Isaac Newton's famous Third Law

of Motion, which is probably on a poster in every high school physics classroom: For every

action, there's an equal and opposite reaction.

Put another way: throw stuff backwards and you'll go forward.

In fact, you can boil down every rocket design, no matter how complicated, to this basic idea.

When thinking of a rocket, you might normally imagine what's called chemical propulsion.

That's the "fire-coming-out-the-end" kind, which uses a controlled explosion to

hurl material out the back of the rocket.

And once in space, another kind, electromagnetic -- or EM -- propulsion, also becomes available.

They aren't strong enough to get rockets off the ground, but they are great once you're

past most of Earth's atmosphere.

These rockets work kind of like railguns, accelerating charged particles, or ions, out

the back with electric or magnetic fields.

Today, we have all kinds of EM thrusters, but pulsed plasma thrusters, or PPTs, were

the first ones ever flown in space. They were used in 1964 on the Soviet Zond 2 mission to Mars.

Like some other engines, PPTs specifically use plasma to generate thrust, instead of

a random collection of ions. Plasma is a super hot substance made of charged ions, and it's

the fourth state of matter.

In some ways, it behaves kind of like a gas, because its atoms are pretty spread out. But

unlike the other states of matter, plasmas can be shaped and directed by electric and magnetic fields.

To generate its plasma, PPTs eat Teflon! Which is pretty awesome.

A pulsed plasma thruster places a block of Polytetrafluoroethylene -- what we know as

Teflon -- between a pair of metal plates.

Then, connected wires charge up those plates with electricity until it arcs through the

Teflon block, set off by a spark plug.

That arc delivers thousands of volts into the block, vaporizing the nearby Teflon and

ionizing it into a plasma.

The sudden burst of plasma effectively creates a circuit connecting the metal plates, which

allows electricity to flow like it's traveling through a wire.

One neat side effect of flowing electricity is that it generates a magnetic field. And

everything in the thruster is already arranged so that this field pushes the plasma out into space.

At this point Newton's third law springs into action, pushing the spacecraft in the

opposite direction of the departing particles.

And, huzzah, motion!

Well, the tiniest bit of motion.

A pulsed plasma thruster deployed by NASA in 2000 produced an amount of force equal

to the weight of a single Post-it Note sitting on your hand. Which might not seem that exciting,

but it has some big implications.

Like other forms of electromagnetic propulsion, these engines require a lot of electricity

to run, but in exchange they offer incredible efficiency with their fuel.

Pulsed plasma thrusters can produce up to five times more impulse -- or change in momentum

-- for every gram of fuel than a typical chemical rocket.

They do it very, very slowly, but they get the job done.

PPTs also offer exceptional simplicity and safety.

The only "moving part" is a spring that constantly pushes the Teflon block forward

and, without the need to store pressurized liquid or gas fuel, there's no chance of explosion.

So it makes sense then that pulsed plasma thrusters were so useful back in the 1960s.

Since then, their lack of power has meant that most spacecraft main engines have remained chemical.

And when companies really need some kind of EM drive -- like for the Dawn mission to the

asteroid belt -- they'll tend to choose more sophisticated designs.

But that doesn't mean we're done with these thrusters just yet.

Recently, their extreme simplicity has made them a natural fit for the most up-and-coming

field of exploration: CubeSats.

CubeSats are tiny, shoebox-sized satellites designed for simple missions and built on

the smallest of budgets -- often by research labs or universities.

Earth-orbiting CubeSats seem almost tailor-made for the strengths of pulsed plasma thrusters.

Lots of sunlight gives them ample electric power, but since they're so small, space

and weight are at an absolute minimum. And right now, most CubeSats typically don't

have any kind of propulsion system of their own.

So one solution is micro pulsed plasma thrusters, which can weigh just a few hundred grams and

measure under 10 centimeters on a side.

That might not sound like much, but even a tiny amount of thrust could double the useful

life of some kinds of CubeSats.

They'll likely need to undergo more testing and development before they're ready for

primetime, but someday, we could have a whole fleet of Teflon-eating satellites.

Not bad for the same stuff that coats our kitchen pans!

So I joked about Newton's third law of motion being etched into our brains earlier, but

when's the last time you really thought about good ole' Newton critically?

Brilliant.org has a whole section on Newton's Laws as part of their Classical Mechanics

course. And learning about pulsed plasma thrusters made me want to test how well I remember using

Newton's third law. So, imagine you're on a beautiful, frictionless lake. In your

own little boat. The sun is shining, there are birds in the air, there might be lilly

pads around you. And then you spot another boat, just like yours, a little bit bigger

across the lake, 30 meters away. And you know that your boat is 60 kilograms and actually

that's your friend, so you know that that boat weighs 90 kilograms. And you want to

bring the boats together so you can have a picnic. Luckily they're connected by a string.

So if your string is pulled with a constant force and your two boats meet up after 20

seconds, how far did your boat move? You probably don't even need to get into a boat to solve

I'm really skinny but I'm not anorexic I started developing but I'm flat. And I

don't have my period yet, and that's what I give made fun of for. All of this

started when I was in fourth grade. Kids started making fun of me because

everyone started developing and I didn't. All my friends did. But they had really

big curves and standing next to them this made me look like I was a

cereal box. People started making fun of me. I told I trusted adult like everyone

says to do and she said that I should just ignore them, but ignoring them is

impossible when you have to see them every single day. And some of them are

even your friends. They always have this Girl Talk moment you talk about their

periods and how big their chests are and whenever I try to get in the

conversation they always say you wouldn't know. In sixth grade everything

got even worse because everyone's curves became bigger and boys started getting

on it too. Boys call you many names like toothpick,

popsicle stick, and I tried eating more to gain weight and my grandparents

noticed. They told me not to just eat the amount that I wanted to and just leave

the rest. So I started doing that and I felt happy again but then I reached

eighth grade. Everyone and I'm talking about everyone has started developing.

I started developing as well. But I didn't have my period and you couldn't visibly

see my chest. Some people don't really want to show their chest but in my

school it was the other way around. So I started wearing a bra with two pads

in it to make us seem like my chest was bigger. Even though I was trying

really hard to make it look like I was curvy, people still teased me. At lunch

this boy called me that I looked like a second grader, and I just laughed it off

but I felt like I just couldn't take it anymore.

I just wanted to punch him in the face and say, "Whatever if I'm not curvy,

I don't care!" But I didn't. And after I got home I cried for a whole hour. The next

day I didn't want to go to school so I told my mom that I was sick and she

called into the office and I got an absent. I didn't know what to do that day

and I was going on YouTube and I found many inspirational

stories and then everything clicked in. Now I know that I'm supposed to love

myself no matter how I look like. I don't care about whoever whatever they say to

me I don't care at all. All i care is that i love myself no matter what...

Popular Nigerian singer, Tiwa Savage has allegedly filed for divorce from her estranged husband, Tunji Balogun, a.

According to media reports, all attempts by the couple to resolve their differences have failed, and Tiwa has decided to formally call it quit, citing 'unsolvable issues' as the reason for the decision.

However, Tiwa a.

a 'Marvin Record First Lady', is yet to confirm nor deny the divorce issue.

The embattled couple have not been together since their marital crisis in 2016; Teebillz made their marital issues public as he wanted to commit suicide by attempting to jump into the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos.

The duo then engaged in 'war of words' on the social media, as Teebillz alleged infidelity, among other accusations, on the part of his estranged wife.

Tiwa, who shares a son with Teebillz, in turn granted a 45 minutes video interview to debunk the accusations.

However, fans and industry watchers had assumed all was now well with the couple when many of their friends, colleagues and family members intervened, urging them to reconcile their differences.

Tee Billz had to testify on social media that all was now well with him, after he went through rehabilitation process in the hand of a seasoned life style coach, Lanre Olusola.

He said: "The way I handle things now is completely different from how I acted in the past.

"I do better now because I know better, and If I had gone through the experience before now, it probably wouldn't make sense to me until I go through some challenging situations.

"But I thank God that I have been able to overcome all those through the guidance of my coach.

However, it seems things had taken a different turn as the estranged couple who were said to be resolving issues, have finally given up on each other.

Savage signed a recording contract with Mavin Records in 2012.

She also signed a management and publishing deal with Roc Nation in June 2016, which she later confirmed via Instagram.

She co-wrote the track "Collard Greens & Cornbread" off Fantasia Barrino's Grammy-nominated album, Bact to Me.

Savage was featured on Solar Plexus, a compilation album released by Mavin Records.

Her debut studio album, `Once Upon a Time,' was released on 3 July 2013.

It was supported by the singles "Kele Kele Love'', "Love Me (3x)", "Without My Heart", "Ife Wa Gbona", "Folarin", "Olorun Mi" and "Eminado''.

Savage's second studio album, `R.

D', was released on 19 December 2015.

It produced the singles "My Darlin", "African Waist" and "If I Start To Talk".

She is a recipient of many awards including, MTV Africa Music Award, The Headies Awards, Channel O Music Award, Nigeria Music Video Award, and City People Entertainment Awards among others.

Army ordered to pay N1m to actress Ebere Ohakwe

A Federal High Court has ordered the Nigerian army 6 division to tender an unreserved apology to Nollywood actress, Ebere Ohakwe.

This was after the court found the army guilty of human rights abuse against Ebere Ohakwe, which reportedly occurred on January 30, 2017.

The actress was allegedly brutalised by one Olamilekan Suleiman, who used a stick and an iron to inflict injuries on her.

The trial Judge, Justice Adamu Mohammed, consequently ordered the army to pay the sum of N1m as damages to Ebere Ohakwe.

Mohammed said One, it is, hereby declared that the arrest, harassment, embarrassment, torture and assault meted on the applicant by the first, second and third respondents and other officers of the 6 Division of the Nigerian Army, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on January 13, 2017, is unconstitutional and a violation of the dignity of human life.

"Two, the first, second and third respondents are restrained from further threatening, harassing, embarrassing, arrest, torture and inhuman treatment of the applicant, except in circumstances provided by the law.

"Three, the sum of N1 million is awarded to the applicant against the respondents.

The respondents are ordered to tender an unreserved apology to the applicant..

Justice Mohammed further restrained the army from carrying out any further actions against the victim.

He warned security operatives to act with civility and responsibility, especially on issues relating to fundamental human rights of the citizenry.

The idea today is to reproduce my webserie makeup

Because you sent me messages asking for my skin secrets

The glow is just natural !

The idea is to use 50 products for a no-makeup result

Right now for example, the makeup is done !

But l'll show you all the steps !

Beauty care

In the morning, I do a scrub and then I apply a mask

It's a Sisley mask called Eclat Express, intensive formula

Its so expensive that I just beg for samples

Baby you can't talk during video ! You're not allowed

After that

I apply a drop of Night Repair Serum by Estee Lauder

I hydrate my skin with Hydraskin light by Darphin (just looove it)

Then I put an eye cream, also by Estee Lauder

Glow

For my videos I want to look super natural

Pretty but most of all, not too much

So working on the skin glow is the most important thing

I mix a drop of Mac prep radiance base

With a liquid highlighter also from MAC

Don't put too much !

The color is peach

I hate heavy formulas that cover everything

So first I use Skin tint by glossier

Sorry you don't see anything !

Perfect skin tint in Medium

This product covers nothing ! Blemishes or scars

BUT it creates a good illusion of a better skin

Yes sweety ?

I use another product to create a perfect skin

That I called TAPTAP

But its not his name

It's a Les Beiges Touche de Teint from Chanel

I love the fresh texture

The result very natural

I'll apply it just where I need it

An alternative product I discover not that long ago (and cheaper)

Its a BB cream from JOWAE

Anti blemish, super natural... love it too

Let's go with a pink blush

Also from Chanel but I have it since forever

Rose Glacier

Then i put looooots of highlighter stick

because that's where the glow comes from

I have 2 : one from Chanel that covers a lot,

And one from Glossier called stretch concealer for under my eyes

that is more "shiny", very natural

I apply a lip balm

I cant live without my eyelash curler

I go very close to my lash line and I do the cat's eye

Following the announcement that FNC Entertainment will be taking legal action against those spreading maliciously edited photos of AOAs Seolhyun, she has shared warm words with her fans to comfort them.

On March 19, maliciously edited photos of Seolhyun were spread on various online communities and social media. They were exacerbated with false rumors, which included that the photos originated from her ex-boyfriends phone.

The person who has been hurt the most by this situation is Seolhyun, as it was her image that was manipulated and exploited.

She continued to write, Like our agency said, were going to find the people who produced and spread the photos, and I am going to do everything I can to make sure there are no other victims. She comforted her fans as she said, I know it may be too much to ask that all our lives are filled with nothing but happiness, but I hope that at least for the people I love, there is nothing but happiness for you.

Their statement came as a response to a post claiming that nude photos of Seolhyun had been found on a phone Block Bs Zico had lost.
