Youtube daily report Mar 23 2018

What can I help you with, Lord of Darkness?

I'm looking for a date.

Today is Friday July 13th.

No no, I want to meet someone.

Understood, you want to eat Dimsum.

Don't you get it I want to go on a date.

I'm lonely.

I understand, you want Bologna.

Too many eyes.

Too few eyes.

Not into tentacles.

Dad?

Mavis!

You're stressed out from working too hard,

you need a vacation from running everyone else's vacation,

and I know just how to fix it.

Mavis where are we going?

A cruise!

Surprise.

Oh! No, no, no!

Dad.

Come on there's so much to do.

You could go scuba diving,

Try some exotic foods,

Or just enjoy the view.

Okay dad thank you.

Maybe you'll find your own fireworks on the cruise.

It's not The Love Boat Frank.

Hi there.

I'm captain Erika.

You must be the one and only Dracula.

There's something about an accent that makes a man sound so intelligent.

You made it honey, Best summer vacation ever.

You are right great-grandfather van Helsing, monsters are disgusting.

They have no idea what's about to happen to them.

All going according to plan.

There is something about that woman I don't trust.

The food here is to die for.

Must have been garlic in the guacamole.

It's no deadly for you?

Was that you?

Oh no Blobby's gonna puke.

Papa.

Hiya, Georgie.

What a nice boat.

Do you want it back?

Um, yes, please.

You look like a nice boy. I bet you have a lot of friends.

Three, but my brother's my best best.

Where is he?

In bed. Sick.

I bet I can cheer him up. I'll give him a balloon.

Do you want a balloon too, Georgie?

I'm not supposed to take stuff from strangers.

Oh... Well, I'm Pennywise the Dancing Clown.

"Pennywise?" "Yes." "Meet Georgie.

"Georgie, meet Pennywise."

Now we aren't strangers, are we?

What are you doing in the sewer?

A storm blew me away.

Blew the whole circus away.

Can you smell the circus, Georgie?

There's peanuts, cotton candy,

hot dogs,

and...

Popcorn?

Popcorn! Is that your favorite?

- Uh-huh. - Mine, too.

Because they pop. Pop, pop, pop.

Pop, pop, pop.

Pop.

I should get going now.

Oh.

Without your boat?

You don't wanna lose it, Georgie.

Bill's gonna kill you.

Here.

Take it.

Take it, Georgie.

Help!

Okay.

Look.

That's where Georgie disappeared.

There's the Ironworks.

And The Black Spot.

Everywhere it happens, it's all connected by the sewers.

And they all meet up at the...

The well house.

It's in the house on Neibolt Street.

You mean that creepy-ass house where all the junkies and hobos like to sleep?

I hate that place.

It always feels like it's watching me.

That's where I saw It.

That's where I saw the clown.

That's where It lives.

I can't imagine anything ever wanting to live there.

Can we stop talking about this?

I can barely breathe.

This is summer.

We're kids. I can barely breathe.

I'm up here having a fucking asthma attack.

I'm not doing this.

What the hell? Put the map back.

Mmm-mmm.

What happened?

What's going on?

I got it. Hold on.

Guys.

Georgie.

Bill?

What the fuck?

It's It!

What the fuck is that? What the fuck is that?

I don't fucking know!

Turn it off! Turn it off!

Yeah. Yeah, turn it off. Turn it off!

Run, Stanley!

What is it?

What the fuck?

Thanks, Ben.

It saw us.

It saw us, and it knows where we are.

It always did.

So, let's go.

Go?

Go where?

Neibolt.

That's where Georgie is.

After that?

Yeah, it's summer. We should be outside.

If you say it's summer one more fucking time...

Bill!

Wait!

Trump Makes Devastating Announcement After 60 Americans Were Just Found DE*D - Duration: 5:03.

Trump Makes Devastating Announcement After 60 Americans Were Just Found DEAD

The death toll in one middle American town continues to rise as 60 people were just found

dead overnight and emergency crews can't keep up with the calls that continue to pour

in.

President Trump had warned of what was coming to prevent these deaths and now it's time

to take urgent action as he's announced in a shocking message to Americans.

With all the focus recently being on Chicago and the immense amount of shooting deaths

there are in that war zone every day, a bigger issue has presented itself just a couple states

away in Ohio.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner has confirmed that 60 people died one month earlier from

the same alarming cause, which brings the total deaths from this to 109 this year for

just this one small part of Ohio.

However, the issue is widespread across the country and only getting worse, which is why

Donald Trump wants to do something about it now.

Fatal drug overdoses now surpass car deaths in America thanks to the increased use, availability,

and abuse of heroin, fentanyl or a combination of the two that come into the country from

wide open borders and unchecked immigrants.

With each month comes a new record number of deaths from this drug not just in Ohio,

but nationwide.

"[This] number could increase because seven cases are still awaiting further toxicology

testing.

Of the fatalities last month, 36 were Cleveland residents," Fox 8 reported.

Trump is well aware of the opioid epidemic that claimed 52,000 lives in 2015, which was

the most amount of overdoses in a single year in U.S. History.

This is part of the reason he's wanting to crack down so hard on the border.

During his joint address to Congress, the President said that he will build "a great,

great wall along our southern border" — in part to dramatically slow the flow of narcotics

pouring into the U.S. at an "unprecedented rate."

"Our terrible drug epidemic will slow down and ultimately stop," Trump promised in

his speech, Vox reported.

Although a wall won't stop it completely, he's the first to address the epidemic that's

gotten worse while it was ignored the last eight years.

While Trump was criticized for his comment that the wall would stop the flow of drugs,

it's a step in the right direction and he's at least ready to do something about it, whereas

his predecessor was not.

America does not need more of what comes in illegally over the border, whether it's

people, drugs, or both.

The president recognizes that there's an epidemic in this country of opioid abuse that's

killing more people than car accidents.

He's not willing to look the other way and ignore it, like Obama did.

He's made it a top priority in his presidency as a way to make America great again by sparing

families this great loss.

The Washington Post reports:

President Trump said Thursday that the opioid epidemic — which is killing more than 100

people each day — is the "worst drug crisis in American history" and said his administration

is declaring it a public health emergency, pledging the nation's full resolve in overcoming

it.

"Addressing it will require all of our effort, and it will require us to confront the crisis

in all of its very real complexity," Trump said during a speech in the East Room of the

White House, where he was joined by first lady Melania Trump and New Jersey Gov. Chris

Christie (R), chairman of a presidential commission on combating the crisis.

As Americans, we cannot allow this to continue," Trump said.

"It is time to liberate our communities from the scourge of drug addiction.

We can be the generation that ends the opioid epidemic.

We can do it."

With Trump's declaration, the federal government will waive some regulations, give states more

flexibility in how they use federal funds and expand the use of telemedicine treatment,

according to senior administration officials who briefed reporters on Thursday morning.

Trump's announcement drew sharp criticism from Democratic lawmakers and some public

health advocates, who questioned his commitment to the crisis, given that Trump made no immediate

request to Congress for emergency funding.

"America is hemorrhaging lives by the day because of the opioid epidemic, but President

Trump offered the country a Band-Aid when we need a tourniquet," said Sen. Edward

J. Markey (D-Mass.).

"Today's announcement is nothing more than a dog-and-pony show in an attempt to

demonstrate the Trump administration is not ignoring this crisis."

It's refreshing to have president connected with the people.

While some may feel like addicts make their choices and deserve to die, Trump recognizes

that the problems are affecting families to a deep extent that will translate into societal

issues the country could suffer from for years to come.

The Cake Review ~ A Play By This Is Us Writer Bekah Brunstetter ~ La Jolla Playhouse - Duration: 8:49.

[Music]

Welcome to The Dress Up Mom.

Hi, friends.

Today, I am going to the La Jolla Playhouse to see a production called The Cake, and I

thought I would do a review for you and talk a little bit before what my thoughts are and

then after.

But first, thank you so much for tuning in.

I really appreciate it.

If you are a regular viewer and subscriber, I absolutely love you.

Thank you.

It means the world to me.

If you haven't subscribed and you like this, please do.

It's the button.

It's here somewhere.

It's free, and again, it means everything to me.

I'm growing the channel.

We are also on all the social media outlets, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter @thedressupmom,

#thedressupmom, and you can check us out there, too.

I feel so fortunate that here in San Diego on the campus of UCSD, right in La Jolla,

we have this terrific local playhouse called the La Jolla Playhouse.

It has a really great history.

I'm going to put a link to the La Jolla Playhouse here, how it started with some Hollywood people

out in the '30s.

And it's so great because we get probably six or seven productions a year.

There's usually a couple musicals and some plays.

And we get to test them out, usually before they go somewhere else.

It's something that my husband love doing.

We have a subscription and we really enjoy doing this and getting a little bit of the

arts and seeing some things before anybody else.

If you happen to be visiting San Diego, I would highly recommend checking out the playhouse.

Every once in a while, you might get something that's a little out there, but you also might

be able to see some gems.

Today, we are going to see a play there called The Cake.

I'm really kind of interested in this.

The storyline revolves around something that's really happening right now.

It's 2018, and I think there is a Supreme Court ruling that's just about ready to come

down, where it is about a bakery or a baker who refuses to make a cake for a gay couple.

In the play that we're seeing, it's actually a lesbian couple getting married, and it's

in a small town, I believe somewhere in the South.

And the woman that runs the shop, for her religious purposes, is refusing to make the

cake.

And I think also, there's a little bit of a—more of a complication in the play, where

the woman who runs the shop is also either really good friends or her daughter was really

good friends with one of the women getting married.

So, there's a connection there.

I'm interested in this.

It's a topic that I'm very interested in.

Full disclosure, I have a gay son, so you can imagine which side of this I fall on.

I'm very pro-gay rights, but in the play, from what I understand, they really try to

do a good job seeing both sides of the picture.

Before any of these productions, our local paper, The San Diego Union-Tribune, always

does these reviews and things, and I've been reading.

They've done a couple of them.

By the way, this one has gotten great reviews, so I'm super excited to go and see it.

Here's another one of the ones that came up here.

Another thing that intrigued me is that the writer of the play is also one of the writers

on the TV show This is Us, which is one of my favorite shows.

I love the writing on this show.

So, I'm really looking forward to seeing this.

Apparently, a couple of the actors in the play also are famous Broadway actors, and

I believe this hopefully will go somewhere else and we're sort of testing it out.

So, I'm going to head out.

I'll show you what I'm wearing in a minute, but then we're going to head out to the playhouse,

and then afterward, I'll come back and tell you what I thought.

When we go to the playhouse, we normally go to a matinee.

It's kind of the thing we like to do.

The Sunday matinee.

So, I still like to get a little bit dressed.

I obviously, I can't get as dressed as I would be if I was going out to an evening perform,

but to the matinee today, I'm wearing one of my favorite vintage Asian inspired tops.

I think it is from Asia.

It's very old, and I think it's a little bit different than the majority of the newer ones.

Very nice.

Thicker fabric, which I love the way that this lays.

So, I've got this on, and I'm pairing it with this pair of little winter white slacks that

I picked up at a Hospice Resale shop.

The shoes are Louboutin flats that I also bought resale.

This top, by the way, I got from ReLove in San Francisco.

And then, my earrings are from 454 Tattoo, a tattoo shop in Encinitas.

So, we're going to go to the play now, and then I'll come back and tell you what I think.

[Music]

Okay.

I am back from seeing it, The Cake.

Let's see if you can see the program here.

Boy, I really liked it.

Really, really did enjoy it and would recommend seeing it.

Let me think about how to explain it.

Now, I did go to dinner afterward, had a couple glasses of wine, so my brain may not be working

as well as usual, but I found it very entertaining.

It was thought-provoking.

I actually laughed a lot in it, and there were a couple really touching moments when

I cried.

So, I got a range of emotions, and I feel like it's something I will think about over

the course of the next couple days, which to me always means that it's good.

If I have a movie like that or a play like that, that I think about, that's my idea of

a good experience.

There were only four actors in the entire play, but they were all wonderful.

They did a fantastic job.

The woman that played the baker, I have to look her up, but I definitely recognize her

from other places, and she was fantastic.

All of the characters were sympathetic, which is interesting because they all had very different

viewpoints.

There were a couple people in the play that had very extreme viewpoints, and then those

in the middle.

And it really showed just how complicated issues can be.

And the fact that how you're raised and the area that you're grown up with really does

make you kind of who you are in some ways, and you have to really think about issues

from that perspective to some degree.

Now, again, as I said, I skew to, you know, the far liberal side on all these matters,

but it was really interesting to kind of see the thought process and see the other side

of the picture in a way that I may not have seen before.

So, with my liberal background and feelings and living in California, I sometimes forget

that there's a whole chunk of people who think completely differently and have a whole different

kind of opinions.

So, it was really brought out in a nice way.

It definitely had that This is Us feeling to it as well, which I love, and which appealed

to me.

The set was really cool as well.

The way that it moved in a different kind of a way than I had seen before, so that was

interesting to see.

But like any good play that I've seen, it was really about the writing.

The way that it was written and wove these complicated issues together in a really great

way, and then again, the acting in it was fantastic.

There were also a lot of fun little quirks and things to it.

In the lobby, they had asked people to send in their pictures from their own weddings.

So, they had sort of a video going of people's wedding pictures, which was really kind of

cool to see.

And when we left the theater, there was cake out there from a local baker that they gave

to everybody.

That was just delicious.

So, that was kind of fun.

I loved it.

It was a very fun, fun afternoon for me, and I would highly recommend it.

I really do hope that this play gets picked up in other markets and that other people

can see it, because like I said, it really does sort of open your mind a little bit and

make you realize how complicated some of these issues can be, even if you skew to one whole

side of it.

I would love to know if you've seen The Cake, or if it gets picked up, if you end up seeing

it and what your view and your comments are about it.

Also, like I said, if you're in the San Diego area, go and check out the La Jolla Playhouse,

a really fun experience and a nice place to be.

Thank you so much for watching.

I really appreciate it.

Until next time, have some fun and dress it up a little.

Trying To Become Popular - Duration: 4:53.

It's not going up

It's not going up!

I have pills for that

What?

No, I mean my subscriber count

I don't get it, I should be at around 1000 at this point

What I am doing wrong?

Simply being a Virtual Youtuber is not enough to get a lot of subscribers

Listen, there are Virtual Youtubers who stand in front of a white screen,

say two words and make 100 000 views

I put a lot of effort into my videos, I deserve at least a little bit of recognition

What else should I be doing?

Make funny and quality videos

I mean something within my abilities

Why not do the same type of content as the popular youtubers

Hmmm, what could I do?

Why not do the same type of content as the popular youtubers

Hmm, I can't think of anything right now

Do the same type of content as the popular youtubers

Oh I know

A hat!

Did you really think that a hat would be enough to get subscribers?

Yeah, it's not by wearing a top hat that I'll suddenly become popular

Fedora!

This is stupid

Why not do the same type of content as the popular youtubers

Oh I know

Cats!

Cats?

Of course, everybody likes cats, that's the most popular thing on the internet

And what are you going to do with that?

Oh no...

🐱

This is stupid

🐱💢

Alright, it didn't work

What else?

I have no other ideas

Oh I know

Why not imitate popular youtubers?

That's what we've been saying from the start

Sorry, I wasn't listening to you

I thought you were saying bullshit as usual

That's nice...

Maybe imitate Let's Players?

What's up guys?

It's ya boi

Today, we're playing

Alright, can we get

One

Bajillion Quadjillion(?) likes

on this video please?

Look at this sucka

Look at this sucka

BOOM HEADSHOT!!

I'll never do that again

Why not imitate other Virtual Youtubers?

What did you say?

Dunno. I made it up.

I don't speak japanese

I thought I heard...

Anyway, that didn't work

What else...

There's still a lot of possibilities

Oh I know

An apocalypse!

Apocalypse?

Yeah, if an apocalypse happens and all the other youtubers die

The survivors will have no choice but to subscribe to my channel

I don't think that's a good idea

So, how do we do this?

A virus?

That's an idea

But as soon as a cure is found, that's over

Zombies?

Nah, they stink and they're noisy

A meteor, that's not bad

It may be a bit too radical

Are you serious?

Oh I know

Documentaries!

Documentaries?

Yeah, everybody hates documentaries

You want to watch a movie but all there is on TV are documentaries, what do you do?

So, if we broadcast documentaries on every channel

It will be guaranteed chaos

And what about people who like documentaries?

That's where the virus comes in!

But people who watch documentaries are usually smart

Won't they find a cure?

That why we kill them first

Do you really have to do that to get more subscribers?

What I am supposed to do then?

Do you really need to have a lot of subscribers?

Yeah, that's true...

Maybe...

Maybe I should focus on what I do

Maybe I don't need to have a lot of subscribers

Maybe I should focus on the subscribers I already have

If I try to change my content to attract a more global audience

I could lose everything that makes me original

And alienate the people who appreciate my current content

Maybe I shouldn't care about my popularity

And keep doing what I love

Or maybe I should do an apocalypse

Oh goddamn...

And give me those pills!

Polar bears face this challenge every spring

WHAT JAPAN NEEDS TO CHANGE URGENTLY before the Olympics 2020 - Duration: 12:11.

I think Japan needs to export that.

I wish I could speak more with people from abroad.

Wow, that made me a bit nervous.

It's a language problem.

It's just a language problem and the culture is different.

Hey guys, it's Cathy Cat.

What do we want Japanese people to do, or maybe to change

when the Olympics come to Japan?

Now that is actually a question we're gonna ask people at

Brilliant Star Decorations, which is an international fashion event

that this time features the World Lolita Collection,

which means loads and loads and loads of Lolita brands coming together

so there's quite a lot of interesting people there

and we wanna ask them what they think Japan should do

or change for the Olympics to be ready for you guys when you come to Japan.

Don't forget to hit the subscribe button,

so you don't miss any future videos that we do with Ask Japanese,

when we ask people in Japan about Japanese culture,

fashion and more. And, let's go and Ask Japanese.

In 2020 the Olympic Games will come to Japan.

What should Japan and Japanese people do during that time?

I think we need to be able to inform people better about what's great in Japan.

Compared to before, I can see Japan is trying to export its culture more abroad.

There is more of a cultural exchange within the last few years.

And more foreigners are coming to Japan these days.

I want more people to know about the good parts of our culture

not just Anime and Manga

There are things like our Japanese clothes, Yukata kimonos,

and ways to wear them that will look good on foreigners too.

Give foreigners a chance to get used to wearing it.

I love Lolita fashion a lot.

I think Japan has to export it's kawaii fashion and kawaii culture more abroad.

And then foreigners might find out about it.

Japan should show more of its kawaii side to the world in 2020.

Let's try our best for 2020!

The good part of Japanese culture has to first be understood by Japanese people.

Japan should check internally, what is really "Japanese" first.

And then 2020 Japan needs to tell the world what really is Japan and Japanese.

This includes subcultures like this Lolita fashion subculture.

There are many special parts to it, that you can't find abroad.

Because we are Japan, there are things we can do.

And we can introduce them from a historical angle too.

Japan doesn't have to match it for the Olympics but...

there are places abroad too, where you can enjoy Japanese culture.

There are events where you can try Japanese food or clothes.

Try out different food, wear a kimono, wear Japanese fashion like Lolita fashion

It would be great if there are events that let foreigners experience that.

As a Japanese person, I want us to show our hospitality.

Omotenashi means hospitality in Japan yes. - That's right.

We have a specific hospitality in Japan.

So I think that's what Japan needs to show during the Olympic games.

What's specific Japanese hospitality?

Dealing with others in detail and politely.

We want to make others feel good.

Let's remember our Japanese heart.

Our national trait ... is not being very open...

Japanese people can be very shy.

Yes that's why I think it would be good if we communicated more with foreigners

So Japanese should be less shy. - Yes less shy.

Let's interact more with people from different countries.

So be less reserved to others. What should Japanese do?

I think Japanese people should be more open.

I want Japan to meet and communicate more with foreigners.

I think Japanese people need to learn more English communication.

Is that going to be a problem?

Many Japanese living here can't speak any foreign languages.

I think it would be kinder to know greetings and how to explain the way.

Same opinion... but I personally am very bad at English...

Even though Japanese is such a difficult language, we can't pick up English here. That's bad.

In other countries, people can speak other languages from their mother tongue.

I think it will be bad for Japan if we don't work on our English skills until 2020.

I think people from many countries will come to Japan, and maybe get lost.

That's why I think we need to have systems in place

that can deal with people in many different languages.

So maybe some Artificial Intelligence or such to be able to deal with that.

It would be nice if there was an AI that could speak German!

Not just German but a variety of languages... that would be great.

The AI should speak French, Spainish and such.

I personally would love that. Guys, please make a cool AI like that until 2020.

Most Japanese don't have foreigner friends,

so, most Japanese cannot speak English and something,

foreign languages,

so, therefore, as a Japanese, when I see a foreigner,

"Ah, my heart is racing a little!"

It's a language problem and the culture is different,

so I'm like, "Hmm... hmm... sorry, sorry!"

some people might react shy like that.

But I think Japanese people should have more courage and fight in them.

Try to say "Hi, nice to meet you".

We should make more efforts to be friendly to foreigners.

We are very shy, but we need to overcome that.

Things will get better if we try to communicate better with foreigners.

Finally, 2020, the Olympics are in Japan, right?

What do you want Japanese people to do when

the Olympics are happening?

Just be themselves and I will appreciate it.

I will appreciate them if their English is better.

Japanese people are quite kind and quite helpful,

in all their ways. Yeah, I think that.

Maybe ask them about their own culture also,

and be interested in people coming to Japan.

Show interest!

Usually people are very surprised at why we love Japan.

Japanese people are so surprised that European people love Japan,

I don't know why, because it's a fantastic country, but...

So Japanese people should get more in touch with foreigners that come?

Yeah, absolutely; I know it's difficult because of the language barrier,

but I think for the Olympics and such, I would love to communicate more

with Japanese people here.

I think maybe more English, because I went to many shops

and they cannot contact me with English.

I believe it's a little difficult for me to travel here alone,

because I can't understand Japanese.

So you always need someone to help you translate?

Yes, yes.

Hopefully, 2020 there will be more people who are able to translate!

Actually, the Japanese, they can speak English quite well.

- Right? - Yes, but they are shy to speak,

so I think the first time, the first thing - the Japanese, they could speak English

to foreigners. And I think they will show pleasure when

they talk with them.

Okay, I think those were the questions!

- Thank you so much! - Thank you!

I'll see you next time!

So what has been mentioned quite a lot is

please speak more English. There seems to be

less people who speak English and there's always the

debate between, "Well, if you go to the other country you should speak the language

of the other country." But if it's only for the Olympics, you know, people will only

be there for a short time, so it might be a good idea to have English speakers

in place so they can communicate with everyone

who might not be able to learn the language in such a short time

for such a short time. Totally understood.

And also, what I'd love Japanese people to do is maybe

explain cultural differences. Sometimes what will happen,

Japanese people will be too kind to actually explain

why someone did something wrong, because they understand.

Which I like, but actually explaining, "You shouldn't do this in Japan

because of that," helps people to not only understand

why they did something wrong, but also to change it for the better,

so it doesn't happen again in the future. So that would be one thing I

would be really happy about, if Japanese people could do that.

So how about you, is there anything you would like Japan to change

for the Olympics? Do you think everything is fine the way it is?

Or do you actually plan to come to the Olympics?

I'd like to find that out.

Maybe some of the viewers who've been viewing us for a long time

will finally come to the Olympics and maybe we happen to bump into

each other on the streets of Tokyo. That'd be very nice.
