SA Input Attenuation and Today's Wave Winner! (6-Mar) - Duration: 3:30.

Hi and welcome to day four of WAVE. I'm Daniel Bogdanoff. Today we're gonna draw

another winner, but first let's look at today's tip where Nick builds on

Friday's advice for how to reduce measurement noise with your signal

analyzer. Hi everyone my name is Nick Ben and we're gonna talk more about

measuring low-level signals. Something that we've talked about in a previous

video is improving your displayed average noise level or DANL by

narrowing your resolution bandwidth, but what if that isn't enough? The next step

is to minimize your input attenuation. Lowering your input attenuation does not

affect your sweep speed unlike lowering your resolution bandwidth setting, but

you better watch out. A 0 DB input attenuation can overdrive your signal

analyzers mixer causing compression and IF overload. From my previous video

here the top trace shows a hundred kilohertz resolution bandwidth and the

second trace shows a 10 DB noise floor improvement with a 10 kilohertz

resolution bandwidth. Now let's see the noise floor improvement when I lower the

input attenuation. I'll reduce that input attenuation from 10 DB to 0 dB,

you can see that we've picked up about 10 DB of additional dynamic range. By

reducing the input attenuation and resolution bandwidth I was able to lower

the noise floor by 20 dB. Now we can clearly see the low level spur. If you'd

like to learn more about input attenuation settings and improving the

sensitivity on your signal analyzer go check out the application note signal

analyzer fundamentals which discusses optimizing your noise floor, resolution

bandwidth, and more. And that spectrum analysis basics app note is legendary in

the RF engineering community, so if you're new to the RF side of things or

want to brush up on your RF fundamentals, I highly recommend checking it out. It's

also like 80 pages long, so if you're experienced with RF there's also

HTC U12 - Will It Save HTC? - Duration: 2:30.

So an alleged spec list for the HTC U12 alongside the release date has been leaked.

This isn't the first time there was a possible leak of the U12.

The phone popped up at a 5G conference in Taiwan, and it featured a big rectangular

display which was partially covered to keep its design a secret.

If the U12 actually ends up packing all these rumored features, it holds a lot of potential

upon its release.

First and foremost, we have some specs for the device.

That includes a Snapdragon 845, making 5G possible for HTC's new flagship.

Alongside that, the phone will apparently offer up to 6GB of RAM and 256GB of storage,

with Android Oreo and Sense 10 out of the box.

Notably, HTC is offering full support for Google's Project Treble.

Project Treble makes it easier for phone manufacturers to update to the latest versions of Android.

If the U12 is included in the program, users may be able to expect regular updates.

Meanwhile, HTC Face Unlock may mean that the U12 will get its own facial recognition feature

to compete with the iPhone X's Face ID.

But It won't be 3D facial scanner, though.

Htc is coming back to the dual camera with the U12 with a 12 MP and 16 MP sensor combo.

Battery size is a letdown since the U11+ had nearly 4000mAh.

Probably it's due the inclusion of dual cameras that there's less space for bigger battery

because there's an additional camera sensor.

The screen size is same as the U11 Plus.

Let's hope the U12 will have a different design, so there will be more differences between

the smartphones than just the additional camera and a bit more power under the hood.

As for a release date, things are still fairly unclear.

However, this same report claims that we'll see a launch sometime in Apri.

That being said, HTC seemingly has a lot riding on this launch.

They endured a pretty poor 2017 and saw revenue slump to its lowest in the past 13 years.

I'm not certain the U12 alone can be the breadwinner that rights their ship, but it is the best

shot they have.

Trey Gowdy Just Said the 3 Words That Will Keep Obama Up at Night – 'We're Trending

Rep. Trey Gowdy just rang the alarm: it may be time for a new special counsel.

That is, we need a special counsel to look into exactly what Special Counsel Robert Mueller

is doing in his drawn-out Trump-Russia investigation.

In an interview with Maria Bartiromo of Fox News, Gowdy said that "we're trending

perhaps towards another special counsel" in regards to the recent outing of Democrat

chicanery with the infamous Trump dossier.

You hear that?

Gowdy wants someone to watch the watchers – namely, the FBI and its questionable handling

of the Trump dossier.

Here are more of Gowdy's comments, via the Daily Caller:

"You know, Maria, this Democrat memo makes me smile.

If it were up to Adam Schiff, if it were up to him it would have been a haiku, and not

a memo because he did everything he could to keep us from finding out any of the information

that was in either one of those memos.

So Congress has proven itself incapable of investigating this FISA abuse.

DOJ should not be looking into it.

We need an independent arbiter that's either the inspector general or special counsel."

I couldn't agree with Gowdy more.

The revelations contained in the Nunes memo from last month demonstrated unprecedented

bias within the FBI and possible abuse via the secretive FISA court in order to obtain

a warrant to spy on the Trump campaign.

We also know that former FBI Director James Comey was caught leaking information to the

press about the ongoing Trump investigation, all done in order to spark a special counsel.

There are too many coincidences involved in the whole Trump dossier saga to chalk the

whole thing up to the FBI just diligently doing its job.

We need answers.

Trey Gowdy desperately wants to get to the bottom of this.

The FBI is drowning in scandal.

High level officials have been exposed as anti-Trump conspirators.

Now Trey Gowdy turned the FBI upside down with just four words.

When former FBI Director James Comey cleared Hillary Clinton of criminal wrongdoing, he

left millions of Americans speechless.

Her wrongdoing was obvious to all and critics argued Comey rewrote the law in order to let

her escape criminal charges.

Now we know the investigation was rigged.

Text messages between Peter Strzok and Lisa Page showed the two high ranking officials

believed the FBI should soft peddle the investigation into Clinton because they were sure she would

win the 2016 election.

The Daily Caller reports:

Republican South Carolina Rep. Trey Gowdy appeared on Fox News' "Tucker Carlson

Tonight" Thursday to discuss newly revealed text messages between FBI officials Peter

Strzok and Lisa Page that dealt with Hillary Clinton.

In one text released to the public, Page, in reference to Clinton, wrote to Strzok,

"One more thing: she might be our next president.

The last thing you need us going in there loaded for bear.

You think she's going to remember or care that it was more doj than fbi?"

Strzok responded, "I called Bill and relayed what we discussed.

He agrees.

I will email you and [redacted] same."

Gowdy responded to this jaw dropping revelation by appearing on Tucker Carlson's show and

declaring "the fix was in."

The Daily Caller also reports:

"Speaking to Tucker, Gowdy said, "This, I think is the unvarnished truth of how they

viewed both her, him and the investigation and how they wanted it to turn out.

Keep in mind, Tucker, all of this is done before she was ever interviewed.

So the fix was in.

Unfortunately, before they even interviewed the target of the investigation."

The Daily Caller co-founder asked, "What does it tell you about what they thought of

Hillary Clinton?

They believed, if she became president she would punish our chief law enforcement agency

for investigating her.

What does that say about their view of her?

Or their understanding of her?"

Gowdy responded, "It's either that, or I think another reasonable construction is

she'd award the DOJ, thinking it was more DOJ lawyers that concluded she should not

be charged as opposed to the FBI.

And that's actually how I read it–that she would give more credit to the Department

of Justice–you know, keep in mind, reading these texts, it doesn't appear that anyone

wanted her charged, before they even know what she was going to say.

I read that to be, they were concerned the DOJ would get the credit for taking care of

her more than the bureau would."

There is no doubt that if pro-Clinton bias corrupted the FBI's investigation into Hillary's

private email server, then anti-Trump hatred infected all the decision making surrounding

the Russia probe.

In this extreme environment where the least error can kill you and where hunting/trapping

is still the best choice to get fresh food, I should

feel bad for the trapper's failure today.

This is a very old race

for millennia between the animal's survival instinct

and the ancestral knowledge of the native.

You can not understand the wilderness

by comparing it to what exists in our society

Because this is the world as it was created and this is not a story from where I belong.

This is an Arctic story.

besides that I'm using a controller a console. I am not using a screen.

I would like to be a professional street fighter player

when I was 6 I got blind, and my biggest fear

in the beginning was that I was unable to play computer games anymore

but after a while I discovered that I was able to play Street Fighter 2

I was able to hear what was going on in the game and could

react on that

so each kick, each punch, each move from each character

has a different sound

after you learn each sound effect you have to react on it

and from that moment on my new game experience started

this year I started with my professional career in e-sports and I

visit my first tournament in Madrid

I won a metal on stage and that was so amazing I mean

I almost had tears in my eyes because it was so wonderful to

show everyone that even with a disability

that you can participate in the real world if you want

so I really hope in the future to have contact with game developers

to see if we can make more video games accessible to blind people

and the other way around, I would like to make blind people

try and play video games like I did, so I really hope that

what I'm doing can inspire other people to do the same, or to

go for what they want in their life, even if it's impossible

as they think, there's always a way to do something

unbelievable that every move in Street Fighter V

has a different sound effect, and watching the video it actually just

made me want to research this a bunch more because

I want to know how he understands where he is on the screen

vs. where his opponent is, I just-

he's just an awesome guy and I'm happy that he can compete professionally

as a blind video gamer which is a hyper sighted event
