Youtube daily report Mar 7 2018

Consider the following sentence: More people have been to Montreal than you have.

Would you say it's true, or false?

Are you sure?

Take a closer look.

Does the sentence really mean what you think it does?

Does it even mean anything?

In fact, while people's judgments vary, many report an initial sense that the sentence

is both well-formed and meaningful . . . and then they realize it doesn't actually seem

to communicate much of anything, even if they can't quite shake the feeling that it should.

After all, it looks like it's trying to compare the number of people that have been

to Montreal to . . . the number of you that have?

Each half can easily be reworked into some other perfectly good sentence, like "More

people have been to Montreal than polar bears" or "I've been to Montreal more than you have."

But as the pieces stand, they just don't fit together in any way that makes sense.

Like the impossible objects of M.C. Escher,

sentences like this seem okay at first glance, but fall apart under scrutiny.

Now, these Escher Sentences form only a part of a whole class of grammatical illusions,

sentences that trick us into thinking they sound okay, even when they don't.

For instance, it takes a moment to realize that "The key to the cabinets are on the

table" should actually be "The key to the cabinets is on the table."

But as far as plausible gibberish goes, nothing beats our Escher illusion.

And for that reason, we're confronted with a special kind of challenge, since a lot of

the work linguists do depends on the reliability of people's judgements about

their own language.

The fact that we can find these clear-cut disconnects, between how good something sounds

and how meaningless it actually is, seems to call all that work into question.

So, you might think we should be worried.

But like the dress that broke the internet a few years back, illusions also give us a

great opportunity to learn more about our own psychology.

And when we dig beneath the surface, it turns out that these sorts of sentences wind up

revealing something fairly important about how we process language.

To see this in action, it first helps to understand that comparative sentences like "More people

have been to Montreal than you have" are really just shortened versions of longer ones like this.

But "More people have been to Montreal than how many you have been to Montreal" doesn't

sound any good at all.

That is, the sentence only starts to come close to working when we shorten it, leaving

out that counting phrase "how many."

So, this could be saying something about how we understand sentences: that we don't really

pay attention to the grammatical details at first, and that as long as the problem can

be left unpronounced, we're happy being superficial about it and pretending it isn't even there.

But there happens to be some pretty good evidence that something else is going on when we parse

what people have to say -- something that's made more obvious when we look at what our

brains are doing when they encounter these illusions.

To see how, consider the statistic "1.5 billion people a year ride on the Paris metro."

Obviously, 1.5 billion people don't live in Paris, so that number can't actually

be counting unique people.

In this case, it's counting rides, meaning that such sentences are also able to track

events, and count how many times some person or other took the metro.

And experiments show that this kind of interpretation, where events get counted instead of people,

comes into play for Escher Sentences, too.

When people are asked to rate the overall acceptability of sentences like "More undergrads

call their families during the week than I do," compared to ones describing unrepeatable

events that can only ever happen once -- like "More New Yorkers began law school this

semester than I did" -- something interesting happens.

When the event being talked about is repeatable, like calling your family, participants score

it much higher than sentences depicting something that's singular and unique, like starting law school.

Though these illusory sentences are never rated quite as high as ordinary ones, the

results suggest that our brains are trying, and in some cases more than others succeeding,

at grafting on a meaning that counts and compares events.

In other words, the grammatical nuts and bolts we uncover when we put sentences under the

microscope are more than just a curiosity; when it comes to the language of counting

and comparing, our brains are sensitive to the details after all, even if we don't

always consciously realize it.

Of course, there's plenty we still don't know, like just how deeply we process grammatical

illusions, and how they're represented in the brain.

But research is ongoing, so you can bet more people will look into them than we have!

HR 5087: The Assault Weapons Ban of 2018! - The Legal Brief - Duration: 5:57.

Welcome back to The Legal Brief, the show where we CRUSH the various legal myths and

misinformation surrounding various areas of the gun world.

I'm your host Adam Kraut and today we're talking about one of our most viewer requested topics

right now, the Assault Weapons Ban of 2018.

HR 5087 was introduced on February 26th and is already the most viewed bill on Congress.gov.

Now I know what you're thinking, didn't we already do this?

It seems like we're doing this on a semi-regular basis now.

And the answer to that question is...sort of.

Last year, Dianne Feinstein, introduced the Assault Weapons Ban of 2017 in the Senate.

This bill is similar with a few additions.

The goal, as with every piece of anti-gun legislation is to deprive you of liberty in

the name of safety.

Fortunately, you're all smarter than that.

A quick recap of things found in the 2017 version and the 2018 version.

The term "semiautomatic assault weapon" has a number of different meanings.

It includes things like a semiautomatic rifle that has the capacity to accept a detachable

magazine and any 1 of the following: a pistol grip, a forward grip, a folding, telescoping,

or detachable stock, a grenade launcher or rocket launcher, a barrel shroud, or a threaded

barrel.

Notably absent is the full semi-automatic feature as seen on CNN.

The term "semiautomatic assault weapon" also includes

a semiautomatic pistol that has the capacity to accept a detachable magazine and any 1

of the following: a threaded barrel, a second pistol grip, a barrel shroud, or the capacity

to accept a detachable magazine at some location outside of the pistol grip.

As you may recall, unlike the 1994 Assault Weapons Ban, which required a gun to have

two of the features, these new bills would only require one.

Politicians are lining up to ban bump fire stocks and similar devices because it's all

the rage.

Both bills contain some form of language to accomplish that.

They also would ban large capacity magazine feeding devices which covers anything more

than 10 rounds.

The bills specifically exclude tubular magazines for 22 rimfire ammunition.

I guess they'll circle back around for that next time.

The bills also provide for currently possessed "assault weapons" to be grandfathered in under

the new law.

Think of it in the context of machine guns.

We are able to legally purchase any machine gun that was manufactured prior to May 19,

1986 but anything manufactured after that date is not available for us lowly peons to

purchase.

The same would hold true under this law in regards to "assault weapons" and "large capacity

ammunition feeding devices".

The proposed laws would do away with the ability to transfer a grandfathered firearm face to

face.

The section, Background Checks for Transfers of Grandfathered Weapons, defines a transfer

as a sale, gift, or loan.

Which would mean that you can't loan a gun to your buddy to go hunting or to the range

without transferring it through a dealer.

This new version of the bill that is in the House has a few things the Senate one does

not.

It provides that the Attorney General shall compile a record of any "assault rifle" that

has been used in relation to a crime, including the outcome of the relevant criminal investigation

and proceedings which shall be submitted to Congress annually and made available to the

public.

I'm not sure what the purpose of that is, unless they're attempting to bolster the ability

to circle back around for a total ban later on down the line.

It also provides for law enforcement to be notified if an individual attempts to receive

a grandfathered firearm and is denied by NICS.

All in all, the bill is mostly more of the same that was in the Senate version.

It adds a number of new definitions, a number of firearms to the "banned" list, enacts a

total ban on "assault weapons" unless they were lawfully possessed prior to the date

of enactment of the proposed law, enacts a total ban on "large capacity" magazines, creates

storage requirements for "assault weapons", imposes new transfer requirements and creates

a reporting requirement to law enforcement.

Bottom line, both bills are terrible for gun owners.

So what can you do?

We get asked all the time about how to fight back against this garbage.

If you didn't see last week's episode entitled "How to Stop Gun Control" go watch that and

TAKE ACTION!

You can rest assured anti-gun individuals are contacting their representatives to push

this legislation.

It is important to make your voice heard.

Let's go!

What do you have?

We are fishing for about two hours now

And I have missed two bites...

now I'm going to invest some cold fingers...

But I've just caught a nice perch

A real nice one!

Wow good fish

Look at that, what a nice perch hey

Nice creature

off to the next one

Nice. Fistbump!

Mister De Wal - I've caught a perch, you won't guess that while perch fishing

The fight was quite short since we want to have it netted as soon as possible

But he is in somewhere - and this is a real big one

Wow that one is huge!

Wow!

Wow what a pig, really big!

Look at that!

That one is a long way to 50 cm - and he's fat too

Very cool!

Paul, you are on a roll!

Wow that one is also big!

Yes!

OMG

This is my Lucky day today guys!

I will stop fishing and buy a ticket for the lottery

This one is less fat and heavy

But it has a strange, orange lip

ah yes indeed

Half perch, half koi carp

Very, very nice perch again man! Beautiful fish

Completely different kind of fish

Way slimmer but...

Bruce Lee's Footwork - Duration: 7:02.

do you guys like getting your asses kicked do you want to be the person

kicking ass instead well today I have the one secret to kicking ass in my

amazing and easy-to-follow three-step ass kicker program what would you be

willing to pay for this amazing program $99.99 okay okay how about seventy nine

ninety nine okay okay how about five easy payments of $39.99

when it comes to being amazing at fighting the real secret is getting lots and lots of

repetitions of fundamentals one of the key fundamentals that you and I need to

be great at is footwork today we're gonna learn Bruce Lee's footwork

now you hear me say time and time again that in real fights whether it be actual

violence or even if you're a sport fighter we need to be the one that has

superior mental composure and focus and superior physical composure and

structure in terms of our stance where our hands are etc we don't want to be

the one stumbling and bumbling around tripping and falling droping our hands

so huge fundamental that we need to work at now Bruce Lee looked outside of the

world of martial arts and he said who has amazing lateral footwork who has

amazing forward and back footwork why do they have that how can we adopt that and

modify that to fighters who need to be able to move in 360 degrees at a

moment's notice while simultaneously throwing strikes keeping their balance

and worrying about tripping hazards that are out there in the real world so today

I'm going to introduce to you several drills that you can use to develop

amazing footwork just like Bruce Lee

first of all never shuffle your feet unless you're doing a shuffle kick

instead you step and replace footwork shuffling puts you into a narrow hop

where you can't change directions until your feet are white again that means

you're only athletic for a moment the rest of the time you are committed to

the direction you're going that's not good in the real world

you've got tripping hazards like sidewalk curbs shuffling is an easy way

to trip and land on your butt but if you use step and replace footwork you will

always keep your balance to step and replace correctly simply step with the

foot closest to the direction you're going

moving forward step with a forward foot and replace with the rear moving back

step with the back foot first and second with the front foot moving to your right

you got it the right foot moves first if you're moving to the left you got it

your left foot moves first simple to remember not easy to do

go get your reps it is better to make small steps than large ones large steps

force you to commit and you can't change direction until you're planted this

makes it easy to lose your balance and get countered by your opponent small

steps allow you to change direction at nearly any time and keeps your balance

solid

pop quiz when can you use your footwork answer when your feet are on the ground

and your center of mass is low bouncing creates gaps of time where you cannot

use your footwork plus bouncing makes you an easy target for fighters with a

great sense of timing they can come in as you are on your way up your hips and

head should move parallel with the ground

just remember don't break the glass ceiling

for the box drill just move in a box while practicing all of the footwork fundamentals go both directions do this

in both your right lead and in your left lead

the hot lava drill is a quick step

forward and immediately backwards or a quick step backward and immediately

forward this is great for quick in-and-out footwork and for counter

striking

to practice circling all you need is something to circle around grab a chair

and do some circle footwork the big thing here is you want to pay attention

to keeping your 45-degree orientation you don't want to wind up sideways or too

open this is a great drill to teach you how to get around to your opponent's

outside the hallway drill okay for real seriously just walk around your house

doing proper footwork talk about free easy reps BOOM!

when it comes to practicing fundamentals here's something I want you to think of

don't practice until you can do it right practice it until you can't get it wrong

folks if you liked today's video please hit the thumbs up icon leave a comment

below and let me know what future videos or topics you'd like to see me make also

don't forget to subscribe if you have not and also click that little bell icon

so you are alerted when future videos come out until next time go get your

reps of footwork end and become amazing well today I have the one secret to dom...

dominating it to dom... well to...day I've got the one secret to dominating in a

street fight

Laryngitis - causes, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, pathology - Duration: 6:34.

With laryngitis, "laryng-" refers to the larynx and "-itis" refers to inflammation.

So, laryngitis is inflammation of the larynx, something that especially affects children.

It's further classified into acute if it lasts less than three weeks, and chronic if

it lasts more than three weeks.

The larynx is located in the upper portion of the neck, just below where the pharynx

splits into the trachea and the esophagus.

The larynx is also called the voice box because it contains the vocal cords, which are two

folds of mucous membrane that can open and close like curtains.

When they are closed, air pressure builds up below them, causing them to vibrate and

produce sound when we speak.

Like the rest of the respiratory tract, the walls of the larynx are made up of mucosal

epithelium.

The mucosal epithelium contains goblet cells, which produce mucus to trap small foreign

particles as well as columnar cells, which have cilia, which are tiny little hair like

projections that moves mucus up the respiratory tract so it can be coughed out.

Acute laryngitis is most common and it's usually due to an upper respiratory tract

infection, most often due to a virus.

These viruses are the same ones that cause the common cold like rhinovirus, coronavirus,

influenza virus, respiratory syncytial virus- or RSV for short, and parainfluenza virus.

Bacterial infections are another cause of acute laryngitis, and sometimes they can develop

during or right after a viral infection - that's called a superinfection.

Common bacterial causes include Group A streptococcus, Streptococcus pneumoniae, or Haemophilus influenzae.

These bacteria, and particularly Haemophilus influenzae, have a special preference for

the superior portion of the larynx and the epiglottis, causing epiglottitis.

In acute laryngitis, the goblet cells to over secrete mucus leading to congestion of the

airway, and immune cells like neutrophils and macrophages release chemicals that cause

pain and swelling.

Swelling of the vocal cords changes the way they move - imagine two thin sheets flapping

in the wind turning into two large pillows that barely move.

As a result, the vocal cords don't move and vibrating smoothly, which causes dysphonia,

or hoarse voice.

Chronic laryngitis is less common and it's associated with allergies, or the result of

chronic exposure to irritating agents, like cigarette smoke.

Reflux laryngitis is another cause of chronic laryngitis and develops in people with severe

gastroesophageal reflux disease where acid from the stomach goes all the way up the esophagus

into the pharynx.

From there, the acid can contact and irritate the larynx.

Finally, there's overuse of the voice, like yelling or a really prolonged karaoke session

involving the Beatles, that could lead to both acute and chronic laryngitis.

In chronic laryngitis the normal columnar cells undergo dysplasia, which is when they

transform into squamous epithelium to adapt to the chronic irritation.

This dysplasia increases the chance that these cells might eventually develop into laryngeal

cancer.

The main symptoms of laryngitis include hoarse voice or dysphonia, cough, and in severe cases

it can lead to difficulty swallowing or dysphagia, because the swollen larynx may compress the

esophagus.

Some children have shortness of breath or dyspnea, since they have smaller airways.

So laryngitis comes down to the three D's: dysphonia, dysphagia, and dyspnea.

Diagnosis of acute laryngitis is mainly based on symptoms.

For chronic laryngitis, though, laryngoscopy can be useful.

That's when a long tube containing a camera is inserted into the mouth to directly see

the larynx, and to take a biopsy of the tissue if needed.

The main purpose is to ensure that there's no sign of a laryngeal cancer.

Generally speaking, for acute laryngitis, the treatment is resting the vocal cords,

as well as getting fluids, and pain medications.

For bacterial infections antibiotics are helpful.

For chronic laryngitis, it's important to treat the underlying issue, for example, using

allergy medication, avoiding irritating agents, and using gastroesophageal reflux medications.

Alright, as a quick recap, laryngitis is inflammation of the vocal cords and it causes dysphonia,

dysphagia, and dyspnea.

Acute laryngitis usually lasts for less than three weeks, and usually resolves on its own,

although antibiotics are helpful for bacterial laryngitis.

Chronic laryngitis lasts for more than three weeks, and is usually caused by allergies

or exposure to irritating agents, or gastroesophageal reflux.

Jimmy Kimmel Punches Back At Trump, Gets Forced To Eat His Words - Duration: 3:40.

Humiliated Jimmy Kimmel Punches Back At Trump, Gets Forced To Eat His Words.

After being humiliated by a poor Oscar show and President Donald Trump, Jimmy Kimmel tried

to punch back.

But, the facts are in, and the liberal host is eating his words as he gets roasted again

and again.

Perhaps one of the biggest and most obnoxious critics of President Donald Trump is Jimmy

Kimmel.

This untalented and unfunny man somehow landed a late-night talk show.

In an era when few bother to watch, he has managed to claw out a little bit of success

in recent years by following in Colbert's shoes, and turning his light entertainment

show into a Trump-bashing fest.

The mild bump that his political stance gave his show also bought him a slot hosting the

Oscars.

But, this lackluster host did little to make the once-lauded event great again.

The show tanked, with the lowest viewers in history.

There are many reasons for the bad numbers, but they're mostly due to people hating

Hollywood, the movies nominated, and the arrogant, unfunny host.

The ratings were so bad, even the President had to chime in.

"Lowest rated Oscars in HISTORY.

Problem is, we don't have Stars anymore – except your President (just kidding, of

course)!" Trump posted on Twitter.

Shaken by the bad numbers and Trump's gloating, Kimmel had to fire back, of course.

Except, it was clear he was punching way above his own weight.

Ouch, that's gotta hurt.

I mean, it's bad enough that Kimmel hosted the lowest-rated Oscars in history.

But, to try to punch back at Trump with such a pathetic jab?

I guess his soft-brained fans would believe anything bad he'd say about the President.

But, even biased polls have him doing better than the left's glorified Barack Obama.

You're going to have to do better than that, Jimmy.

Instead of firing off at Trump again, he tried to make excuses for his pathetic numbers.

Jimmy Kimmel blamed the low figures on, of all things, Netflix.

Uh, what?

That's laughable since just a little basic common sense will debunk that lie.

It is true that many, many people watch Netflix.

It has eroded traditional television's overall viewership.

But, considering Netflix's service is on demand, people will gladly pause Stranger

Things to watch a live broadcast on ABC — if they really wanted to.

The fact remains, few Americans want to tune in to see a bunch of entitled celebrities

give each other awards while they bashed the President and everyone who supported him.

Did they really think most of America was interested in seeing that?

Jimmy is more delusional than I thought!

Then, there are real numbers that put Kimmel in his place.

Like the fact that in the last few years, Oscar ratings have gone up — that is, until

he showed up.

The bottom line is, if people really wanted to watch the Oscars, they would have.

But, most Americans are sick and tired of Hollywood lecturing us about why we're so

wrong while they are the ones exposed for being involved in scandal after scandal.

They continue to cover up their crimes with hashtags and empty words.

Yet, the sexual predators and criminals continue to thrive in their midst.

But, no, it's all Netflix's fault.

Maybe Jimmy Kimmel should quit while he's behind.

What do you think about this?

Waking Up with Bipolar Disorder: Every Day is a Surprise - Duration: 2:12.

Hey guys! It's Hannah.

What it's like to wake up with bipolar disorder?

I like to look at it like this way.

It's an ongoing story of emotional extremes.

You never know what you're gonna get.

You go to sleep. Hopefully, it pauses.

And the minute you open your eyes, it starts right back over again.

I have never known what it feels like to not think.

And that is really evident when I wake up.

It's like questioning yourself.

What kind of feelings am I having?

What kind of day is this gonna be?

The emotions. The things you have to get done.

I know everybody goes through this , with or without a mental health condition.

But ,of course, with bipolar disorder, it's way more extreme.

And it really doesn't end.

And tell me if you agree with this.

You are nervous.

When you go to sleep and you're nervous when you wake up with bipolar disorder

because you never ever, ever know what kind of day you're gonna have.

And it's scary to wake up and feel really depressed.

And it's like you already set yourself up for not having a good day.

What do you do on those days?

Can you snap yourself out?

Sometimes, I honestly believe, you kind of just have to ride with it.

You have to ride with the emotional waves.

It's all I know.

It's all I've ever known is waking up already with those kind of extremes.

You know, even when I'm depressed, it's like I wake up and I'm still thinking.

Waking up with bipolar disorder, you just never know what you're gonna get.

And I want to know how you handle this.

What your mornings look like.

So please share that in the comment section below.

It's intense. It's exhausting.

And I know a lot of people have something to say about this.

So I look forward to seeing those and I will see you next week.

Bye.

How Thankful I Am to You, My Obedient Ones - Duration: 8:56.

How Thankful I Am to You, My Obedient Ones March 7, 2018

Thank you, Lord, for this beautiful word of encouragement.

How blessed we are to have blessed You.

Well, my dear Family, the Lord wanted to encourage us that these past few weeks and months of

exceptional setbacks and suffering have not been in vain; it truly blessed my heart to

hear His joy over us.

He began, "My precious, precious Children, I would not have you fall into despair when

events become difficult for you.

I would not have you believe that I am angry with you and punishing you; this is far from

the truth.

You have been standing between the wrath of My Father for the sins of this nation and

the world.

Even as it is written, 'Who shall I send?'

You have stood up and said, 'Send me'.

"'And I looked for one to stand in the gap and found none.'

"Now I can truly say I have found you and you have been faithful against the wrath of

the devil to persevere and carry a cross for the world in the midst of many torments.

"How thankful I am to you.

I will never be able to express to you the magnificent affect you have had upon the world

by your simple obedience.

Truly, I have hidden from you, all the good you have done, lest you become prideful.

But the day is soon coming, My Bride, when you will behold the fruits of your sufferings

and prayers.

"How proud I am of you all for standing your ground.

My heart cannot express the joy I feel for your faithfulness.

It is impossible to say 'Thank you,' and let it go at that.

"The world is becoming a different place because of you.

There are children being released and rescued from torments, because of what you faithfully

bore in adversity.

There are governments turning over a new leaf and purging corruption—because of your prayers.

"How many and how varied you are across the face of the globe, and when the tally is made,

how amazing are the results from this little group of Heartdwellers.

Suffice it to say, you have not labored in vain.

Rather, you have brought forth fruit lasting unto the ages of ages that will continue to

expand and bring forth more fruit.

"How frustrated the enemy is with you for your simple obedience!

At times, it has driven him to despair, because such well-laid plans have crumbled to dust.

Yes, this is a good thing, a very good thing; a miracle wrought at the hands of My littlest

faithful ones around the globe.

"As things continue to change, there is much rejoicing in Heaven.

And as goodness is felt around the world, as evil is purged from governments, as Light

is brought forth to more nations, as the Muslim people find their salvation in Me alone—Heaven

rejoices and looks down upon you with wonder that you have chosen to sacrifice for those

you do not even know.

"Oh yes, the Great Cloud of Witnesses rejoices over those who have taken up their cross and

followed Me.

And they see what you cannot see.

They see the great numbers being added to the Kingdom daily.

They see hearts that were hard and evil being turned to good and coming alive again with

hope.

And their joy in your prayers and sacrifices knows no bounds.

"I wanted to tell you this, because many of you have really taken a beating, and you

cannot see the fruit of your labors.

But I see it all.

Heaven sees it and My Father rejoices over you, each and everyone, who has done their

part to bring this about.

"Now, I want you to understand that the enemy in this hour has taken a great beating.

Many of his plans have been ground into dust and scattered in the wind.

Many he thought he held captive, bound for Hell, have been released and gloriously taken

to Heaven.

And more is coming.

More and more these conversions spread a holy fire through the nations, drawing more and

more souls into the Kingdom.

New ministries are being born and taking the initiative to set the captives free.

"You do not see from your viewpoint, but many of these have been spurred on by your

hidden prayers—so that you not only bring forth fruit in your lifetime, but those you

beget are bringing forth more and more fruit.

And their next generation shall bring forth more and more fruit—until the rivers are

overflowing with souls that have given their lives to Me.

"So, I say to you today, rejoice!

For great is your reward in Heaven; greatly have you impacted the world.

Do not despair at your losses, you will never out-give Me.

"If you have yet to experience the sweetness of the garden with Me, ask and expect Me to

answer your prayer.

But either way, I have many consolations in store for you and nothing.

NOTHING you have sacrificed for Me has gone unnoticed.

"Eye truly has not seen, ear truly has not heard, what I have prepared for those who

love Me.

And you, amongst many, are those who truly have loved Me and responded to My call to

prayer and sacrifice."

Well, my dear Heartdwellers, I just want to add that your prayers are powerful.

And I've experienced them first hand.

We've had some major turn-arounds and corners turned with Ezekiel's health.

He's had two major healing now.

And the devil has been put to flight in the most embarrassing way.

It's really quite amazing what the Lord has done.

He's stretched our faith—that's for sure!

And the battle does continue.

But there has been a major victory over the enemy.

And major loss for him.

And we thank the Lord for this beautiful victory and stand in His promises to us.

And we know...

Even these sufferings.

They come and they go.

And the strangest circumstances, the strangest things will happen.

They'll come and they'll go.

And there's no explanation for it.

None at all.

Except that in that moment, in that hour, THAT sacrifice was necessary for the Lord's

work.

So, it really is quite amazing to behold.

We're no longer concerned about this disease or that disease - because we realize the Lord

puts burdens on us that don't really have anything to do, even to do with our bodies

at times.

And feel pains, sufferings in various places - that He turns around and lifts quickly thereafter.

With no trace of anything left.

So, it's really quite amazing how He's using these different burdens.

I wanted to encourage you.

Whatever you've lost, believe me, He will make it up to you.

He's an amazing God and He loves us so tenderly.

I can't wait to see the day that He rejoices over us all!

Well, God bless you, dear ones.

And thank you for your continued support of our mission.

In this last week we received a large donation, and the donor asked that we bless ministries

with it.

We sent all of it out, except a very small amount to use for domestic issues - people

who need firewood and food and that kind of thing.

But we certainly appreciate your donations to the mission itself, because we do have

a staff to take care of.

And everything that is left over from that goes out to the four corners of the world

- especially in the places where there's the most sorrow, and the most suffering.

So, the Lord bless you, dear Heartdwellers.

And thank you again for your prayers.

We are WINNING this war!

Amen.

GEICO Careers: Get to Know All of Us - Duration: 2:37.

The people at GEICO are friends and family.

So, they're not just coworkers, they're people that you build relationships with,

people that you may hang out with outside of work.

I recently experienced a situation where my mother had health issues.

And I really needed the support and needed time away to be able to care for her,

and my manager was very supportive in making sure that I could step away

and give my mother the attention and the support that she needed.

So GEICO's the type of company to support you when you're up,

As well as support you when you're down.

What I'm most proud of about my work at GEICO is every time

I can help somebody in serious distress.

When I can take their problem, turn it from this giant scary scenario

to something that we can manage, to deal with

and I can find a solution and get them out of that danger zone

and I hear the relief in their voice. That's always the reward right there.

My first year on the phone, I actually hit Chairman's Gold

which is one of the highest recognitions you can get here.

I was the first person to hit it, this year, of 2016.

So I'm very excited! I actually won a trip to Tennessee, all expense paid.

And it was a great feeling to know that I made that difference here in the company.

I've been with the company here in Dallas since June of 2015.

During my time here, I've been through claims rotations,

upper level liability, service rotations, service supervision, and right now,

I'm actually in the sales department.

Started off as a claims service representative,

stayed in that position for about a year and two months.

And then I got promoted to claims coach,

helping our associates develop their skills before they get out on the floor.

Hard work and determination has gotten me to where I am right now.

So GEICO has provided me with the tools that I needed and the resources that I needed

to progress. The training and the development part of that is really a major piece

in me being able to progress to where I am now.

We're a part of a winning organization.

And knowing that I'm part of a winning team and can contribute with my drive & initiative,

there's no other place I'd rather be.

The support, in general, the support is something that you can't quantify.

It has nothing to do with the money; it's the people that are there for you.

Eso que llaman amor es trabajo no pago - Duration: 2:11.

The world is moved by money and love.

But not romantic or fraternal love.

Our economic system is maintained thanks to a network of care and household chores performed by women every day.

Women entered the labor market massively in the past five decades.

However, in Argentina, the hours that women dedicate to household chores and care of children and the elderly, did not decrease.

This implies a double working day for the majority of working women and, therefore, fewer hours to rest, study or enjoy free time.

Those who have more resources can hire someone to do the housework and care tasks.

That is usually another woman who, in general, is hired precariously.

In turn, that housekeeper leaves her children in the care of a relative who is usually also a woman.

Since they are unable to reconcile themselves with their personal lives, many women have to leave

the labor market or to work under worse conditions, without the possibility of developing professionally.

The more children a man has, the higher his activity rate. With women, it is the other way around.

So, how can we reorganize the networks of housework and care tasks?

To make it more equal, we need public policies that offer free care systems,

the existence of mother-and-father kindergartens in the workplace

and extending and making equal the licenses for men and women.

In addition, why do we assume that women are better at cleaning, ironing clothes or changing diapers?

It is necessary to redistribute the unpaid household chores and care tasks among all household members, to improve the development and well-being of everyone.

They are not women's tasks nor are they signs of love.

They say it is love, we say it is unpaid work.

International Women's Day: Dr. Molly Shoichet |Journée internationale des femme : Dre Molly Shoichet - Duration: 2:56.

[music]

MOLLY SHOICHET: I'm Dr. Molly Shoichet, Ontario's Chief Scientist.

The role of the Chief Scientist is to really build a culture of science in Ontario,

so that we can deliver the best programs for the people of Ontario.

We can make the most strategic research investments.

We know that we're in a knowledge based economy and that's rooted in research, and so together

we can build a better province and a stronger economy for all of us to live longer and richer lives.

We are known internationally for excellence in artificial intelligence in regenerative

medicine in advanced manufacturing.

So what we have the opportunity to do then is build on those strengths and expand them

with our own networks and with the networks of all of our colleagues across the research

infrastructure in Ontario.

I'm really excited when I see young women, or young men actually, interested in STEM

because I think with science technology engineering and math.

With that as your basis you have the opportunity to invent the future, and what could be more

exciting than inventing the future?

I think actually in Canada we have more options for women, so it's a very exciting time for

women to enter the field of STEM.

But I also know that there's an unconscious bias that we all have, women and men, against

women going into the fields of STEM.

There's not an easy answer actually to how we overcome that, but one great way is to

celebrate women in science, which we're doing today, and to let people let men and women

see that with science you can have a very successful career you can have a wonderful life.

When I first started my career at the University of Toronto there was a program that specifically

promoted women in science careers and that gave me that first opening.

That first door that opened to an academic career that has turned out to be very successful.

As we celebrate International Women's Day let's continue to press for progress.

Let's continue to work together to break down barriers.

And let's continue to encourage our young women and men to pursue careers in STEM.

More People Have Learned about Linguistics than I Have: The Comparative Illusion - Duration: 4:41.

Does your relationship have prospects for the future - Duration: 3:18.

This is Margaret.

She's been in a relationship with Daniel for 3 years.

Daniel proposed to her and she agreed to marry him, but now she's wondering whether she's

made a good decision.

Her friends and family are trying to help her:

- It's great that you're getting married – says Margaret's mother – you're

not too young…

It's not worth looking for love forever.

Daniel is a good boy.

- You're stupid… – says Margaret's friend – You've been together for so long

and you're having doubts?– You should marry him without thinking – she says.

Only Margaret's grandfather who has by chance heard Margaret's talk with her mother, said

to his granddaughter: - You'd better think carefully about this

wedding, dear.

Especially since you already have some doubts.

The fact that you've been together for some time and you're not having too many arguments

doesn't mean that you have to be together until the end of your lives.

Listen to your intuition, because if you don't, you will end up just like me… and your grandmother.

- Would you like your son or daughter to be

like your partner?

- Would you like your son's or your daughter's wife or husband to be like your partner?

- Imagine that you've broken up and after a year you're in new relationships.

What do you feel when you imagine it?

Relief?

Or maybe it's hard for you to even think about it?

These questions should help you find the answer to the question: "Does my relationship have

prospects for the future?" but often the answer is not clear.

In such a situation, think about what you can do in order for your relationship to be

better?

Maybe the problem is that you're not working on your relationship and you've left it

on its own?

Maybe, indirectly because of you, your partner is too jealous because you're not showing

him enough affection or he/she is not sure whether you want to be with him/her?

Maybe your relationship is not in the best condition because you have too many claims?

Maybe you're telling your partner what he/she should be like or what he/she should do?

Maybe you're using prohibitions and orders?

Maybe you've unknowingly disrupted the emotional balance… and overwhelmed your partner with

too much interest and too many expectations?

What Is Intermittent Fasting And Why It Works - Duration: 4:49.

Thanks for checking in for this lunch break.

Lunch episode where hopefully in three, four minutes or so

that you can learn how to become better emotionally,

physically, spiritually, mentally, all through focusing

on better digestion and health.

And today, if you don't have time for it

you can click in the upper right hand corner

and just click save and listen to it at a future time.

Today I'm gonna be talking about intermittent fasting.

And it's a little bit of fasting, again, when you hear

that most people are thinking water diet

or starving yourself and actually, what I'm gonna be talking

about is really something not even remotely close to that.

What we're gonna be doing is talking about ways

to give your body, especially your digestion, a break.

And I wanna explain it like this, is

that if you in American diet, if you

are eating three square meals a day, and let's say

that you're snacking, you're drinking, if you are doing

that your body's actually digesting food 24 hours a day.

Now, the reason that that's important is

because eating is a voluntary action, when you decide

that you wanna eat you are forcing your body

to do something, so basically most people

are forcing their bodies to eat

and digest food 24 hours a day.

Think how taxing that is on your body.

If you had to do something for 24 hours a day,

it's pretty taxing and again, and you don't realize

the amount of stress that your body is under by doing that.

And couple that with the fact that most people are trying

to lose weight, trying to become healthier,

so you think they figure about the diets

that you wanna eat, or foods that you wanna try,

and how stressful that can be.

So what I'm gonna be talking about, as I said,

intermittent fasting, it's basically giving your body

a break so that it could really improve digestion

in the longer term.

In terms of what your body's doing,

digestively speaking, you're doing one of two things.

You're either fasting or feasting.

Feasting is eating, you are constantly eating,

most people are constantly eating, and during that fasting

time is that your body's not focused on digesting.

Those are really the two things

that digestively in your gut is doing on a daily basis.

And so when you feast, when you are eating, basically

for the next few hours after eating your body's gonna focus

on processing those foods that you just ate.

And in many instances, those foods that you just ate

are gonna be the quick sugars, the refined sugars,

the quick carbohydrates, you know, the things

that the body's gonna use immediately to

use as energy. Okay?

And that's, again, that's the reason

that most people eat, you are hungry,

you have low blood sugar, you feel weak, you have to eat,

so what most people do is you grab

those quick carbohydrates, those quick sugars,

and it powers you through that.

Well, then what about all the other foods that you eat?

The proteins, the fats, all of the other junk,

really, that you put in at one time.

Well again, once the body decides

that it uses what it needs for energy, then it, as I said,

it's going to spend the next couple of hours focusing

on those types of foods and trying to process it.

But most people don't sit down and enjoy foods

for a couple hours, they're doing something else.

You know, you're exercising, you're stressed,

you're at work, and so again, your body's not focusing

on just digesting that foods, it's doing other things.

So those foods that you have there just sit and

really create a whole lot of problems

internally in your gut.

So, when we talk about fasting, what we're doing is just

giving your body a break during set periods of time.

And what I do daily is that I try not

to eat anything, really, before noon most days.

And that's my fasting period during the day.

And the reason that that's important is

because I'm actually trying to teach my body how

to use other things other than quick sugars

to utilize as energy, and that's what intermittent fasting

does, it gives your body a break to try to figure out how

to digest those complex carbohydrates,

that waste that's in your body.

Because all fat is is just waste in your body, it's waste

that your body hasn't really figured out what to do with.

So by fasting, you're actually trying

to trick your body into utilizing those proteins and fats

to use as fuel, so that longer term

that you're not gonna be relying

on those quick sugars, those quick carbohydrates,

and generally have digestive issues longer term.

So by taking a fasting break every day,

or maybe once a week where you're not eating

for 24 hours, maybe juicing or something along those lines,

it gives your body a significant break

that's very important longer term digestively speaking,

of course.

So try intermittent fasting, and again, if you,

whether it is something that I do, if you wake up

and you're immediately hungry during the day,

your body's telling you something,

that it's having a blood sugar issue, but if you can't do

that then certainly eat when you get up, or eat

for breakfast, and then maybe try a period between eight

and four where you don't eat, again,

give your body a little bit of a break.

And I promise you that digestively

that you're gonna be a lot healthier longer term,

you're gonna feel better emotionally, physically,

spiritually, if your body can digest those foods, alright?

So that was it, if you have any questions

about intermittent fasting you can send me a

question, you can comment below, like this, whatever

that you wanna do, but I appreciate you guys taking

the three minutes or so to learn a little bit

about how you can become mentally, spiritually, physically,

and emotionally better digestively speaking.

You guys have a wonderful day, peace out.

All the poets & the part time singers always hang inside...

Live music from a band plays a song called "Soul Psychodelicide" (an unreleased song that was recorded in 1986 five days after "Joy in Repetition")

The song's a year long & it had been playing for months when he walked into the place...

No one seemed to care, an introverted this-is-it look on most of their faces...

Up on the mic repeating two... words, over & over again...

Was this woman he had never noticed before he lost himself in the articulated manner in which she said them...

These two words, a little bit behind the beat... I mean just enough to turn you on...

For every time she said the words another one of his doubts were gone...

Should he try to rap to her? Should he stand & stare?

No one else was watching her, she didn't seem to care...

So over & over, she said the words til he could take no more...

He dragged her from the stage & together they ran through the back door...

In the alley over by the curb he said tell me what's your name...

She only said the words again &, you know what... it started to rain...

Two words falling between the drops & the moans of his condition...

Holding someone is truly believing there's joy in repetition...

There's joy in repetition...

She said love me, love me, love me, love me, love me...

Joy in repetition, oh... joy in repetition... joy, what do you want me to say, baby... in repetition..."
