I had a birthday, can you tell?
I have a, "Kiss me, it's my Birthday" badge. And No, I didn't get kissed.....
I don't know, what is the world coming to?
Anyway, I got older apparently. But, I'm not growing up, I'm still a child and yes!
I am wearing a stitch onesie! Which I got for my birthday.
So I thought I would, share the things I got for my birthday, with you guys.
Because, that seems like a thing people do on YouTube.

Okay, this camera angle is quite dreadful isn't it!
So, I turned an age of........ good Lord! An age, in which I refused to turn.
I decided, that I'm turning 28 this year. Because the last 4 to 5 years didn't exist.
I mean they did ,and there were some good points in there.
But mainly they sucked, so I didn't get to really do the whole kind of late 20s thing.
I'm doing them again, I'm 28 wha-hoo!
Okay so I got some stuff for said birthday, and I've rambled on enough, shall we find out what it is.
So I got a onesie, I got a stitch onesie who doesn't love that!
I also got.....it was a stitch based birthday basically, my brother and his girlfriend, got me a Stitch!
To hang out (oh hang on Tennant) with The Doctors! He's adorable, I love him
So seeing as this originally started as a booktube channel. Do you want to see the books first?
I don't have a brain...
So first up, I got Another Day by David Levithan,
Which is the second one, to the Everyday, is it a series? There's only two books though. I do... I don't know..... the words!
I don't remember Everyday, I haven't read it in ages. So I'm gonna reread that, and read Another Day.
Because the movie of EveryDay, is coming out in a few months.
That's a lot of days, in one sentence.
But it's coming out in a few months, so hopefully I will have read both ,by the time the movie comes out.
Probably not, but we're gonna give it a go,
It's.... we're going with the same color theme here, I think we having a blue birthday hmm
Then I got Miss Non Pratt!
I love you, I'm already half way through this and it's brilliant!
This is, Second Best Friend, by Non Pratt. Who writes bloody brilliant YA.
I don't know how else to describe her, except for, she's great!
Her characters are well-rounded, they sound like me when I was a teenager.
I said I'm already half way through this, and that was in one sitting.
I didn't want to put it down, but I had to get some sleep.
This is heavier than it looks people..... I got the next in the Firefly/Serenity graphic novel.
This is number 5 in the series, and it's not the 5th story, but it's the 5th book.
Because they parceled quite a few stories, in to different books.
See, hopefully there's no spoilers on that page!
I love these books, and I love the fact they made them.
If you are a fan of Firefly or Serenity. You will know the pain of losing it!
These follow the stories that you wanted to know.
Including..... I will never shut up about the fact...... There is a Shepherd Book one.
You find out, what Books, back story is.... Just, Just read it! Just, Just read it!
I then have, Wild Embers Poems of Rebellion, Fire and Beauty by Nikita Gill.
This was given to me by my bestie, and this... oh my god, she's so good at picking surprise books!
She got me the poetry book Milk & Honey for Christmas.
And now she got me this for my birthday and i just. I love just picking up, and reading like a poem, or 2 or 3 poems, once a day.
I got Sophie Kinsella, 20s Girl.
This is read by Danielle Denby Ash, she is the actress who plays Margaret in North and South the TV series.
I slightly loved her, and her voice is wonderful. This is a surprise book. I have no idea what it's about.
But I plan on crawling in bed, and listening to it. Because I love me an audio book.
The last book I got was By my Side by Alice Peterson,
this was sent to me by my friend in South Africa. Kathryn, hello how are you doing? You doing alright love?
It's actually her birthday, the day after mine. Birthday Buddies and I sent her a book, and she sent me a book.
Cuz it's not like we know each other or anything.
That wasn't all the books, there's one more book that I have,
But I don't have it here, because it's so popular, it got nicked straight away.
My lovely brother, gave me the special edition of Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda' by Becky Albertalli
In the back of that book.......
1 it's a hardback, and it's white, and it's beautiful. I wish I could show it to you, but.

What happens next! Oh My God, the cute!
I read that rather quickly, like the second, that I got in my little paws.
So yeah, it's been a book based birthday once again.
But carrying on, I have a backup for my computer thank god!
The thing is on its last legs, I swear to god. It's gonna crap out on me, any day. I do have a backup. but it is also crapping out.
It has managed to, it's killed half my files, they're garbled.
So most of my videos have been lost, and I'm now trying to download them off of YouTube.
That's a good idea, isn't it? NO!
But this is just a plain normal backup. Where I can take everything onto here, and then wipe out the computer.
So the computer will last, hopefully, maybe, a bit longer.
Cuz I hate computer shopping, because I hate anything past Windows 97....
Then, my bestie, bless her. It's like she knows me or something.
Because she got me a Cup of Coffee, face mask from Lush.
Which I have used already, a little bit it. And on nom nom nommm
not that I'm addicted to coffee or anything....
She also got me a bath bomb,which, it smells of Palma Violets.
so that will be going in the bath, once I have some hot water again.
It's very cold here, it's snowing and my hot water lasts about 5 seconds..
Then can we just...... can we just friggin just.... all the Just's!!!
I Solemnly Swear to Smash the Patriarchy!
It's not like she knows me or anything. And it fits, because I am notoriously annoying to find t-shirts that fit me.
Because you know, I change shape every 5 seconds.

I'm just...... there's no words for the love I have for this woman, and her epic present buying skills.
Then, while I take a sip from my lovely cup of coffee......

Well you know, I wasn't gonna say it. But if others want to, that's fine!
I got this for my birthday and I kind of love it!
I'm not a big deal on YouTube, but somebody thinks I am, and that sweet.
I was also given, which is over there, and I'm not picking it up because I will drop it.
A big tub of soil, and sunflower seeds, that grow inside hopefully.
So I'm gonna hopefully have some sunflowers, and I might do like a video caption of them growing.
Because I haven't grown sunflowers in a very long time.
Anyway shall I get on with more things?

Carrying on! I have a Box! So I got this lovely box of goodies from the mother!
Because she's epic, and for one it smells amazing, cuz, cause there's 3 Yankee Candles in here.
Pink Sands, Rainbow Cookie and Snowflake Cookie.
So my flat, will be basically smelling of rainbow sprinkle cookies for a while. I'm good with that.
Another t-shirt and again it's blue! I took 28 years to look this good!
I'm officially turning 28 this year, I have the t-shirt to prove it!
Epic pajamas which now, by the way. really smell of Yankee. I just got Yankee pajamas now.
So they're just, basic men's pajamas. Because I love men's pajamas,
Who can be bothered to be dressed in women's ones, they're annoying they're cut funny.
These are like, 3 sizes too big for me, but that's how I like my pajamas!
I'm a baggy pajama kind of girl!
I also got a movie, which is "I know Where I'm Going"
With Wendy Hiller and Roger..... oh god I'm gonna say this wrong, LIVESEY
I was watching some round table conversations, with women who have been.
I think it's, they've been nominated this year for Best Actress???
A bunch of women, who I highly respect. We're talking about how they love this movie. How they would take it to a desert island with them.
I really wanted to watch it, so on a whim I put it on my Amazon list. It turned up, so I fully intend to watch this
Actually might do that today, because I'm gonna need a rest after this.
That was my lot really, that, that was, that was a lot of stuff.
I did flippin well this year. I mean it's insane.
I just want to say thank you! For the birthday wishes that was sent to me online, and through the post, and everything.
It was a really, really, really good birthday.. I mean regardless to the presents,
which are amazing, and lovely and adorable. But I don't want to be the kind of person,
who just goes "oh my birthday was great, because all of the presents"
It wasn't great because of that. I took the day for myself. I lay in bed, I watched my favorite movies.
I watched lilo & stitch, and Contact.
I just sat and, I didn't feel very well, but I was okay.
I just relaxed, and tried to be okay in the space, I was in.
I was having some kind of emotional, existential breakdown. Over, you know, the fact that I was turning a certain age.
I didn't feel like. I felt like I'm 28, I feel like I'm 28, and all this stuff.
I was getting really, really upset over my birthday, and the fact that I'd lost the last 4 or 5 years.
So I just took the day and took care of myself. It was a self care day. It was a really, really good birthday.
I'm very, very grateful for it. Thank you to everybody!
I now have indigestion from drinking my up my coffee too fast, so that's fun!
I've got to go, pack all this up now....
I hope you guys are good, and I will see you soon.
