Pakistan who is trying to gain sympathy of Indian Sikhs on the pretext of the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor.
What's the condition of it's own Sikh population?
Sikhs who are born in Pakistan, have been living there for centuries,
what's the condition of those Sikhs in their own country?
What kind of life do they have there?
We will find out today's video.
You witnessed and the whole world witnessed,
Pakistan witnessed that yesterday,
Imran Khan threw Kartarpur (Holy place of Sikhs in Pakistan) Googly
This was Pakistan's Foreign Affairs Minister, Shah Mehmood Qureshi.
While speaking those words, He had a strange condescending smile on his face,
a sense of elation, pride, he had a sense of victory.
With this statement of his, Shah Mehmmod Qureshi has exposed Pakistan's duplicity in front of the world itself.
His words didn't harm India but he exposed himself in front of everyone for sure.
His statement proves that Sikhs' sentiments don't have any value for Pakistan
and Pakistan's Kartarpur Sahib decision is purely political and not a spirited one.
This was Pakistan's googly, nothing but a political move.
Not only in Pakistan but in India also there are several people who really think
that Pakistan has taken decision on Kartarpur Sahib in a good spirit.
We have Navjot Singh Sidhu who is hugging people in Pakistan and boasting his friendship with Imran Khan.
So, for people like Mr. Sidhu, I am going to narrate a little story.
On a sweltering afternoon of May 2018, in Budhabir area of Peshawar,
a person arrives at Charanjit Singh's grocery store and asks for a red chilli powder.
Charanjit complies and puts red chilli powder packet in a plastic bag and hands it over to the person.
This person takes the bag with one hand
and pays Charanjit with bullets instead of money with his other hand.
He unloads several bullets in Charanjit's chest and vanishes easily with his other partner on a bike.
A father two sons and a daughter, a husband, Charanjit Singh, dies on the spot.
Charanjit was a member of the small Sikh community of 50,000 in a Pakistan of 20 million.
He was a well known name in Peshawar.
He was a social worker as well as a religious leader of the Sikhs.
He was an affable person who used to meet everyone with love and smile.
If you asked people, Sikh or Muslim about him,
they would tell you that Charanjit never ever hurt a fly in his life nor did he hurt anyone's feelings
Such a generous man was shot in broad daylight, why did this happen?
Charanjit Singh is just one name of many Sikhs
who have been targeted and killed in broad daylight during last decade only.
Sikhs have been living in FATA province in Pakistan at Afghanistan border since 17th century
with love, harmony and respect with Pashto speaking people.
But in present times, especially after 2014,
a province that was once considered a cradle of safety for Sikhs has become thirsty of Sikhs' blood.
Today, Sikhs can't live there anymore.
A province that once provided shelter and safety to Sikhs from Aurangzeb's persecution,
today Sikhs are forced to flee that province because of religious persecution.
In the last ten years, more than 200,000 Sikhs have been forced to leave FATA province,
and remain in the separate cities of Pakistan as internally Displaced Persons (IDP).
They are forced to live like refugees in their own country.
This persecution of Sikhs in FATA province started almost 14 years ago,
when the Taliban declared them infidels and started robbing their homes, shops and businesses.
Soon other religious parties, organizations of FATA province also joined Taliban
and hence started a series of events like
kidnappings of Sikh girls & boys, rapes, ransoms, assassinations and target killings.
These series of events continue till today.
It became too much when Islamic parties started levying taxes from all non-Muslims along with the Sikhs.
This was living tax , breathing tax for being a minority in Pakistan.
According to the Police Records, last year alone, 10-15 Sikhs have been targeted and killed.
In Peshawar alone, at least 5000 Sikhs are forced live as refugees in makeshift camps.
These Sikhs fled FATA & KPK provinces leaving their homes, shops, businesses, property behind
and living in Peshawar's refugee camps.
Professor of History, Mohammad Rafiq at the University of Peshawar says,
in Pakistan, Sikhs, Hindus and Christians have to struggle not only with the Taliban
but also with many other religious extremist organizations and leaders.
Because these extremists believe that religion of minorities is a threat to Islam,
therefore kidnapping, rapes, assault and murder of minorities in Pakistan has become a common practice.
If we talk only of Sikhs, according to the police data,
10 Sikhs are kidnapped for ransom in Pakistan a year
and same number of Sikhs are subjected to robberies, rapes and murder each year.
In September 2013, Bishan Singh's shop in Lahore was robbed in broad daylight,
causing him a loss of 8 million rupees.
When he went to the police,
Lahore police reprimanded him and sent him back instead of writing his complaint.
There are thousands of painful stories of Pakistani Sikhs like these.
Google "Persecution of Sikhs in Pakistan"
and you will find thousands of reports written by Pakistani publications.
If you read these reports, your heart will die many deaths.
The reason for this condition of the Sikhs in Pakistan is both religious & political
but it is more political then religious.
Because if it were only a religious reason,
this persecution of Sikhs would have started in 17th century but it didn't.
Because Pakistani leaders, the army and extremist religious parties made religion a business
They used Islam to create their own existence, to prove their worth in society,
therefore Sikhs and other minorities are living in hell like conditions in Pakistan.
You will be surprised to know that census was conducted in Pakistan last year
and Sikhs were not even included in this census.
Only a Muslim can become President in Pakistan and Prime Minister of Pakistan.
Only Muslims can be appointed to Pakistan's Federal Shariat Courts,
a court which has the power to declare any strike down any law in Pakistan's constitution
by declaring it un-Islamic, only Muslims could be appointed as judges in such a powerful court.
In the past 5-6 years, Sikhs have faced highest oppression and target killings
in KPK province of Pakistan and during this time period KPK province has been ruled by Imran Khan's party
and same Imran Khan is trying too woo Indian Sikhs by putting up this farce of Kartarpur Sahib.
I would like to tell and remind Imran Khan that
there is no other community in India and entire world, more heroic and patriotic than Sikhs.
Whenever India defeated Pakistan, there was a brave Indian Sikh rubbing your face down in the mud.
And, if you have forgotten then recall that scene of 1971
when your General Niazi was standing with his head down in front of our Lt. General K S Arora,
he was ripping his stars from his shoulder and handing over to Lt. Gen K S Arora.
One Indian is wiser than a 100,000 folks like you put together, Mr. Imran Khan,
and he understands your tricks very well.
Stop worrying about the India Sikhs and worry about Pakistan's Sikhs first.
Go get them justice, stop their persecution.
First go and get justice for the Sikhs of KPK province ruled by you for last 5-6 years.
Get justice for those Sikhs of KPK province who are forced to live in Peshawar and Lahore like refugees.
First, have some balls, see Taliban eye to eye and ask them stop target killings of Sikhs,
stop their persecution and then talk about Indian Sikhs.
