Man United 2-1 Liverpool: Reds suffer setback on frustrating day at Old Trafford
Liverpools chances of finishing second in the Premier League took a major blow as they fell to a 2-1 defeat at Old Trafford.
After their quiet night in Europe in midweek, the spotlight turned back towards the Reds for one of their biggest games of the season on Saturday.
Heading into the weekend two points and one place below United in the Premier League table, Jurgen Klopps side needed to secure victory to move back up to second, behind Man City.
With fourth-placed Tottenham bearing down on them with Bournemouth to play on Sunday, the importance of a Liverpool win was hammered home, and as such Jurgen Klopp returned to his strongest available side.
Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah were among those restored to the starting lineup after a rest on Tuesday night, but they were ultimately frustrated at Old Trafford.
Klopp makes 5 changes, Henderson left out Rashford nets twice as United take long-ball approach Bailly own goal gives Liverpool lifeline in second half Reds fall behind in race for second-placed finish.
As expected, United adopted a route-one approach, with Romelu Lukaku supported by Juan Mata, Alexis Sanchez and Marcus Rashford in an otherwise negative setup.
It paid off for the home side after soaking up pressure from the Reds, with Lukaku heading on David de Geas long kick to allow Rashford through to turn Trent Alexander-Arnold and fire home.
This shifted the onus onto Liverpool to create from different situations, and Van Dijk had a great opportunity to equalise from James Milners corner, but the Dutchman frustratingly headed wide.
Then United benefited from another long ball, with a mixup at the back allowing Rashford to curl in his second of the afternoon and extend Uniteds lead.
Liverpool continued to probe with Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino looking likely, but United held on to head into the break 2-0 up.
The Reds opened the second half in more positive fashion, with Salah finding pockets of space behind a crowded United defence and Alexander-Arnold providing more valuable width down the right.
But as the low block gained control again, Klopp opted to send on Adam Lallana for the ineffectual Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in a bid to change the game.
It was Mane, having previously toiled to no avail, who clawed one back however, with the winger surging down the left flank and drilling in a cross which Eric Bailly turned into his own net.
Jose Mourinho responded by sending on Marouane Fellaini, with Uniteds brief clear: aiming to stifle any hope of Liverpool clawing back for a result.
That certainly paid off, with cynical tactics and bullish defensive play depriving the Reds of any further opportunity to get back into the game and the race for second.
There was plenty of fight from Klopps side, but they were eventually made to pay for two very similar goals conceded off long balls.

After conceding two almost identical goals at Old Trafford, Jurgen Klopps post-match press conference heavily focussed on the right side of his defence.
Two goals from Marcus Rashford, both scored after Romelu Lukaku won aerial duels against Dejan Lovren off long balls forward from goalkeeper David De Gea, gave Man United the three points.
In each situation, Liverpools 19-year-old right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold was caught too wide of Rashford, rather than tucking inside as Lovren went for the header.
In the situations around the two goals, it was not like it should be – you cannot leave a player alone, assessed Klopp.
With Romelu Lukaku, he can win the headers sometimes – we did it afterwards [won the headers], but in these two situations we didn't.
The match-up between Lukaku and Lovren had been much-talked about ahead of the game, and United boss Jose Mourinho said the Belgian was confident he could get the better of the Croat.
Lukaku was confident, from experience, he could be dominant over Lovren, explained Mourinho post-match.
Alexander-Arnold, Mourinho said: My intention was to give a direct opponent to Arnold. Arnold is fast, but probably Marcus is faster. [To] create them problems going in behind their defence..
Klopp said that his side had worked on closing the space on the second balls, but failed to do so for the two goals:.
You need to be there, everyone knows that and we trained that of course, around second balls where we had to be – but we were not there.
They scored twice and that has a big influence on different things in the game – one team gets a big boost, the other one a big blow..
Despite the obvious United tactic of targetting Liverpools right side of defence, Liverpool failed to protect Alexander-Arnold in-match, with Mohamed Salah playing high and inside, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain the more advanced of the midfielders.
We have to defend these two situations better as a team, from all areas, that's it, said Klopp in his post-match press conference.
It is not allowed to concede these kinds of goals. If you do, you have to react and that's what we did. If you have to react at Manchester United, you need a little bit of luck.
We have to continue working and turn the fortune a little bit more on our side.
In these decisive moments, when it's not in our hands and we did what we do and somebody else has to decide, so far it was not really often that the help came. Talking specifically about Rashford vs.
Rashford is coming at 100 miles an hour in that situation. Trent makes this move, he cuts back and there needed to be another player. That's how it is. Could Trent have done better? Probably.
But could he have sorted the situation alone? Rather not – there needed to be a second player.
Rashford makes one move inside and shoots immediately. You don't get a second chance alone. It was the right distance, he made the cutback early enough and it was a brilliant goal from Rashford..

The Coolest Old Truck - 1968 Chevrolet C10 Restoration - Duration: 2:54.
it's time for show-off Sunday, where everyone has a chance to show off their
own car and here's this week's winner,
this is my 1968 Chevrolet c10, this is the fourth generation in my family truck,
it was purchased by my grandpa and he passed it down to dad and dad gave
me when I was 12 years old, I'm 43 now, had it for a while, it's got the LED headlights,
gave her a paint job, under the hood here we've got a 250 straight-6, and I have
upgraded from the points ignition, I put electronic ignition on it, I
haven't got the heater box put back in yet, like I said I just got her put back
together, I did change out the carburetor, got automatic choke now on it
because that just came with carburetor so I went ahead hooked it up, redid the
interior here too, as you can see the carpet is a little dirty right now, but it's new, that radio
is actually bluetooth capable, it's the original radio, but I've took it apart
and went through it and added a Bluetooth receiver in it
okay I guess that's about it,

The released album in September last year, "Love Yourself Seung HER" ranked No.1 on iTunes at 77 different countries and regions,
and their popularity is still growing rapidly!

BTS will release their Japanese third album "FACE YOURSELF" on April 4th.

How is the outcome of the new album?
JM: The title of the album is "FACE YOURSELF"
JM: It will include single songs, Japanese versions from Korean album, and two original Japanese songs.

MC: The title of the new album "FACE YOURSELF" includes the same word "YOURSELF" from the previous album "LOVE YOURSELF".
MC: Is there a message imprinted in them?

- Have you ever wondered what your biggest asset is?
Well I'm here to tell you it's probably not what you think.
It's probably not going to support you
the way you think it will.
And how you can do something about it.

Hi everyone, Josh Masters here.
The other day I was talking to a friend and he said Josh,
why are you still investing in property?
Like you've been investing in property for years.
And I said to him,
look, what's your biggest asset you have right now?
And he said well, it's probably my family home.
I said, it's actually not.
It's not your family home at all.
I bet in fact, you go to work every week
and you've been doing that for the last 25 years.
You've probably got another 20 years in front of you.
Your biggest asset right now is you.
You go to work, trade your time for money
and you get a return on that.
And if you stopped working tomorrow,
there's a good chance that all that income
would stop as well.
And your financial assets may actually be jeopardised.
Your family home may be jeopardised.
So, when you look at your working life,
it's probably 45 years in total.
And then you've got another 20 years of retirement
where you are not going to be working at all.
Your biggest asset that you have, i.e. you,
is not going to be an asset anymore.
So what do you need to do?
And actually, when I wrote this book about two years ago,
Why Property, Why Now,
this was actually one of my biggest motivators.
Because I basically said, you need to have assets
underneath you to actually replace you when you're gone,
when you stop working.
Not when you're literally gone.
But when you do stop working.
So what are you doing now to build that asset base?
Because once you get to the end of your working life,
you won't have that opportunity anymore.
You have to give it everything you have now
to put a little bit aside to investments,
to assets, that can replace you when you stop working.
Now your soup is going to be great
but it's probably not going to keep you in the lifestyle
that you're accustomed to, let's be frank.
So, if you're looking to invest,
make sure you get in early.
The earlier you can do it the better.
But make sure you don't leave it too late either.
If you're always thinking,
I'm looking at the market thinking,
oh no, next year, it's not the right time to invest now.
The market's probably plateauing a little bit.
Well that's the wrong way to go about it.
Because time is on your side right now.
But there will come a time when it will be too late.

after weaving the two rows again in the group three pipes I insert one
