One day when I was in third grade, I decided to sign up to play the viola.

Yeah. big mistake. I ended up hating playing that thing. It was uncomfortable

and I hated reading the notes. But at that time my teacher was nice enough,

except for when she would yell at me for not cutting my naturally long nails,

which I get was annoying for her because in order to sound good I needed to have

short nails. But I really couldn't give a flying heckadoodle pickle about all this

viola stuff. So I really want to quit but my mom wouldn't let me for two years

because she thought I'd be the next Beethoven or something. But in fifth

grade she finally let me. Fast forward to about 8th grade in my tech class I had

to sit next to some girl who really didn't like me for some reason. Like she

made a poem about me saying, "if a brick smacked Jess in the face the world would

be a better place." So some crazy little Shakespeare chick who either wants me

dead or wants my face be as flat as a pancake I sitting next to me. Great so I

was just minding my own business when this snobby McSnobster turns to me

and goes, "hey Jess, why don't you tell everyone why you quit viola..?" "Uh, because it

made me so stressed I want to break it into any bitty pieces and then strike on

myself with its strings until I was unconscious and blue..Why?" "Yeah right you

sure it's not because you didn't want to cut your nails?" Then that's when my eyes

widened. "Where did you get that false information?" "Oh I asked some girl about

you and she told me that." "Well I hate to break it to you honey but your friend is

a liar." "Well actually the teacher told her class...

how pathetic and bla bla bla bla bla bla bla." I just kind of zoned this chick out

at this point. I was stunned that some 30-something old teacher would pollute

some kids' his mind with some stupid lie about another student. I needed to know

exactly what this teacher said about me. So I asked some my old fellow viola

buddies and going by what they said this is what happened. Some girls said, "hey why

isn't Jess here? Did she quit or something?" And instead of saying

something along the lines of, "oh well that's her private business," this salty

teacher told her whole class "oh the reason just quit it because she

couldn't cut her nails!!!" So some kids went "ooh exposed!" Others

laughed like "quitter!" Yeah I was mortified that 10 year old me and my

long fingernails made a negative appearance with my name in her class.

Like "lady you are THIRTY! your school gossiping days are over." At

first I was offended but then I realized I'm not the 30 year old waz bag in this

situation gusts me about 10 year olds. But now I just wish I could go back to

my elementary school and suck up enough courage and confront her and say, "hey I

don't appreciate you're grown butt spreading a lie about my ten year old

self in my fingernail length." And then watch the color drain out of her face a

What Happens to Your Body If You Die on Mars? - Duration: 4:34.

[♪ INTRO]

Someday, somebody's going to die on Mars.

Death isn't fun to think about, so let's just assume it'll be after one of the founders

of the first Mars colony has lived to a ripe old age and watched their people grow and

flourish and it'll all be very peaceful.

But no matter how or why it happens, the science of what comes next is super interesting.

First, any burial plans are going to have to consider international law,

because there are United Nations charters against contaminating other planets.

And unfortunately, we humans are covered in and filled with contaminating microbes.

And if a person is going to die on the Red Planet, all those microbes are going to

have to be killed or contained.

And there are a couple options for how to do it.

The first is cremation, or burning a body into ashes.

Fire will kill all those microbes, and it's a practice that many

communities already use and have rituals around.

But there's also an alternative that's being developed specifically for use in space!

It's called Body Back, and it's pretty sci-fi.

In 2005, NASA contacted the Swedish company Promessa,

which specializes in environmentally- sound burials and cremations.

NASA asked them to look into a system for handling remains that can be used in space.

So they came up with the Body Back, which is basically just an adaptation of Promessa's

existing process, although it hasn't been done to anyone on Earth yet.

First, the body of a Mars traveler would be stuck in a weatherproof bag.

It'd be cooled down, and then exposed to liquid nitrogen for a bit.

This would deep-freeze the body and make it really brittle.

Then, the bag would be shaken up by a machine until the body became a powder.

Which is really effective for saving space, and that's always important on a mission,

even if it's kinda creepy.

Still, liquid nitrogen doesn't always kill bacteria.

It can also preserve them, causing them to stop growing without actually dying.

So the body would have to stay in the bag forever.

But it's at least an option.

Now, if cremation or bag of powder options aren't available, like if someone's spacesuit

breaks and they're exposed to the Martian elements, the process would go a little differently.

For one, they'd technically be violating international law, but there would be more

immediate problems at that point.

To know how a body would respond to being left alone on Mars, scientists can actually

study a similar environment on Earth: the Atacama desert in Chile.

The Atacama is one of the driest places in the world, and it's super high up, with

peaks reaching elevations of about 6000 meters.

And the higher up you are, the thinner, cooler, and drier the air.

It's a little like Mars.

Hundreds of years ago, the Atacama was a part of the Incan empire,

and the Inca had a practice called capacocha.

These were ritual child sacrifices, which, to be clear, are horrible, but the bodies

of these children have helped scientists with research hundreds of years later.

Because, despite all that time, the bodies haven't really decayed.

In the Atacama, it's too cold and dry for bacteria to grow well,

so the bodies became natural mummies.

And that's close to what would happen on Mars, too.

It's generally colder and drier than it is on Earth, so not much would happen.

The bacteria on or in someone's body just wouldn't grow, or would grow much more slowly,

so it would take centuries for a body to break down, if it decayed at all.

Now, if someone died closer to the Martian equator,

where the temperatures can get up to 20 degrees Celsius,

the bacteria inside their body might start to decompose it for a while.

But the process wouldn't go on forever.

That's because Mars also has super high levels of

bacteria-killing radiation that would finish the job.

You're probably familiar with UVA and UVB radiation from sunscreen and sunglasses labels,

but Mars also has an extra kind: UVC, which has a shorter wavelength.

Our atmosphere is capable of filtering out all UVC radiation,

so life on Earth isn't great at dealing with it.

UV-C is also especially deadly, because those shorter wavelengths carry a lot more energy.

So it would probably kill most of the surviving microbes.

So if someone died on Mars and there was no way to recover the body, or turn it into a powder,

it would probably become a mummy over thousands of years.

Admittedly, there is a chance some of those bacteria could survive the UVC radiation,

thanks to certain mechanisms that can repair radiation damage.

If they did, they would probably decompose the body over time.

But then Mars would be home to a bunch of radiation-resistant bacteria,

which is a whole new problem.

Or horror movie.

And that's probably why the United Nations would require bodies to be sterilized or contained.

Thinking about people dying on Mars isn't exactly something NASA or any other space

agency really wants to do, but it's an important part of planning for the future.

And even if it is a little morbid, the science behind it is definitely worth thinking about.

Not only did the Girls Trip star announce the nominations for the Academy Awards, which aired earlier this month, but she and Maya Rudolph won kudos for their presenting duties during the ceremony.

Their schtick while presenting the award for best documentary short subject went viral and had some fans hoping the pair would team up again.

On Monday, Haddish told an audience at SXSW that shed be down to host next years Oscars -- under one condition.

I would love to do something like that, that would be a dream come true, Haddish said.

I know my father would be extremely proud if I got to do that.

As long as I get a pay check.         Haddish was at the annual interactive, film and music conference to promote her new TBS series The Last O.G. which also stars Tracy Morgan (TBS is owned by CNNs parent company).

She said that she and Rudolph were auditioning for the ultimate job, though -- as is the custom with presenters -- they were not paid for their Oscar appearance.

Haddish joked that she thought they would be getting paid or that there would at least be gift bags.

But alas, there were no gift bags for her Oscar duties, but she got something else instead.

I was like, Well what do I get? They were like, Weve got a bottle of wine thats like thirteen dollars, she said.

So I had to buy the wine. The Last O.G. premieres April 3 on TBS.

I think one of the biggest things that really appealed to us at Harding Academy was

the teachers and just who they are as people. It takes a lot to day in and day out

teach and love on these kids at this age, but every single child is truly

celebrated and invested in by these teachers every year. They really live

their faith. They're spiritual women of God and we felt the extremely blessed and

fortunate for our daughter to get to be taught and loved on by ladies like

that. I think they do a really good job at this level of making it fun making

learning fun learning through play they do a lot of playing. She wants to come in

and do her folder games and do her learning activities because she enjoys

it; it's a goal and to see her achieve those goals

it really makes learning fun.

well .. the conclusion ..

the printer works well

not had specific problems

the direct extruder on the X cart give you to easy manage the interchange of the filament

the frame is rigid and works well

overall it worked well

the print quality is average for these low cost printers

the user guide .. especially for beginners

VICTON Puts A Spin On Red Velvet's "Bad Boy" With Fun Cover

Rookie boy group VICTON has released a cover of Red Velvets hit track Bad Boy!. On March 11, VICTON members Seungwoo, Seungsik, and Hanse performed a cover of Bad Boy at a busking event in Seoul.

The cover is a remix of the original that theyve titled Bad Girl, and it includes rap lyrics written by Seungwoo and Hanse, with Hanses part featuring a fun mix of Red Velvet song titles from Peek-A-Boo to Russian Roulette and more.

 After the event, they shared the cover via SoundCloud. Take a listen below, as well as watch them perform the song at the event!.

VICTON is a boy group under Plan A Entertainment that made their debut in November of 2016, and most recently made a comeback with Remember Me.

This was the final event in their latest busking series, and the group is currently focusing on their next album.
