Zippy, the zebra
By Urmila Ellappan
Zippy had walked
a long distance
in the African savannah
to reach a small lake.
to reach a small lake.
He eagerly quenched his thirst
He eagerly quenched his thirst
and went to rest
in the cool shade
of a baobab tree.
Zippy tried to fall asleep
Zippy tried to fall asleep
but he felt uncomfortable
and very itchy.
For days,
there were those tiny fleas all over his body.
there were those tiny fleas all over his body.
there were those tiny fleas all over his body.
He tried to get rid of the fleas
by swishing his tail
by swishing his tail
from side to side.
He tried to get rid of the fleas
by thumping his four legs,
by thumping his four legs,
one by one, on the ground.
He even tried thumping
all four legs at once!
all four legs at once!
He rubbed his whole body
He rubbed his whole body
against the tree trunk.
He tried to get rid of some fleas
by licking his face
with his long tongue.
But nothing seemed to work!
The fleas just wouldn't go away!
The fleas just wouldn't go away!
The fleas just wouldn't go away!
No swishing or licking,
no rubbing and thumping
no rubbing and thumping
could make them leave him.
could make them leave him.
Finally, he became so tired and irritated,
Finally, he became so tired and irritated,
that he rolled on the ground
with his feet up in the air.
Perched on a branch of the mighty baobab,
Perched on a branch of the mighty baobab,
Perched on a branch of the mighty baobab,
he saw two little birds.
They made a lot of noise,
winked at each other
winked at each other
and darted down.
"Wow, that was something.
"Wow, that was something.
Are you okay, Pick?"
"Sure, Peck, I'm fine!
Ehh- hi, I'm Pick!"
"And I am Peck, hi!"
"And I am Peck, hi!"
With a sheepish smile,
Zippy got to his feet.
"Ahem, nice to meet you,
I am Zippy,"
"You have such delicious,
"You have such delicious,
tempting fleas on you,"
Pick and Peck
settled down on Zippy's back.
settled down on Zippy's back.
"Delicious?" groaned Zippy,
"Delicious?" groaned Zippy,
"I am totally bugged!
"I am totally bugged!
I just can't get them off,
I just can't get them off,
no matter how hard I try."
"We are very hungry, Zippy,
and we love fleas.
and we love fleas.
May we eat up all these …
May we eat up all these …
nasty creatures?"
asked Pick and Peck.
"Sure! Be my guests!"
"Sure! Be my guests!"
exclaimed Zippy, delighted.
The birds began.
They pecked at the fleas
They pecked at the fleas
on the face and the legs,
on the face and the legs,
they cleaned Zippy's belly
and cleaned Zippy's back.
and cleaned Zippy's back.
The zebra stood still,
letting the birds eat their fill.
letting the birds eat their fill.
Finally they were all happy.
Finally they were all happy.
The zebra had been freed
of the annoying fleas
and the two birds
had enjoyed a splendid meal.
had enjoyed a splendid meal.
"Thank you very much
for pecking those nasty fleas
off my body."
"Oh! We must thank you
"Oh! We must thank you
"Oh! We must thank you
for providing us
with such a flea meal-
free meal.

How Expat Life Changes You: The Positives of Living Abroad & Finding Yourself - Duration: 8:43.
Salut Youtube today I have a special guest with me Chloe from The Real Davina
Hi guys! Do you want to let them know a little bit about you? It's basically my last week in Paris
before I got to Chile because it's my year abroad and I've
started a blog at eight months ago called Divina Fashion and I recently
started a YouTube channel so yeah we'll see where it goes! Perfect so I'm gonna
link all of the links down in the description box below! Check out her blog
check out her youtube channel because there's some really good stuff on there so the
reason we wanted to make a video today is because we've got a topic in common
something that we share which is a big belief that living abroad can help you
to find yourself figure out who you are and change you for the better without
further ado let's get into it the first point is that are more brave and that
you put yourself out there you take more risks and you kind of challenge yourself
because for me and stuff I sometimes make language mistakes like the other
day - don't we all - literally the other day I said il pleure instead of il pleut
which means it's crying and I was gonna say it's raining I guess before I would
be really embarrassed about this language mistake whereas now I'm just
like yeah I don't care I'm you know you learn from your mistakes I think it
teaches you to be brave and more courageous definitely you move abroad
and you used to care so much about what other people thought and I don't know if
it's because subconsciously maybe you think I don't know how long I'll be here
but definitely you kill this and it allows you to be bolder be braver make mistakes
you know get yourself into funny situations it's all part of the package
The second way in which being an expert is really good for figuring out who you
are and what's important to you and becoming your best self is the fact that
you're confronted with another culture and being confronted with another
culture means that you're confronted with new behaviors new attitudes and you
figure out what you like about that what you don't like about there and it helps
you to understand what your values are as a person and what's important to you
so what's really nice is that you can kind of observe this new
culture and you can actually you know take the best parts from it that you
want to use to enrich your personality and who you are and also like leave the
parts that you don't like so much to the side you're living abroad makes you more
culturally aware so you ask more questions you're more curious and you
ask people oh why is that that you know so and so. It teaches you empathy and also
compassion that's a really interesting skill to have you can apply that all
around the world and also I think living abroad teaches you the art of solving
problems yeah so basically long story short it took me like eight weeks to get
my bank cards to open a bank account in Paris I was just so frustrated because I
was just like where is my bank card and it wouldn't arrive and I was calling
them I was calling the bank advisorand I was just like what is happening and I
had to use my French but apparently what happened was the people that were
in charge of my documents actually went on holiday - was this in August? - Yes! Chasing
them up about it and following up really just teaches you you know to really
solve this issue and to kind of like push them things like this you become a
certified hustler you know how to solve every problem every problem that comes
up you've got an answer for it it's really like when you're an expat you
have so many hurdles and it's not to say that it's always negative but I would
say that it's hard it's hard you've got to be resilient, you've got to keep
jumping keep going - you have to persevere - yeah you really do and
your problem-solving skills blow out of the water and I think if you
ever go home where life is so much easier I think you'll be set up to solve
any life problem - you're gonna learn so much - exactly! Another point about being an expat that
really makes you a bit of person is that you can choose
who you want to be think of it like you're a teenager changing high schools you know
you've kind of got that fresh slate and you can start again because I think
when you live with the same people who've known you for many years your
whole life for example if you are quite shy growing up and then your friends and
family know you as a shy one and their expectations of you mean that you kind
of fulfill them and you kind of keep acting like that maybe you don't want to
be the shy person anymore maybe you want to be the outgoing bubbly confident
person but you couldn't change like that back home because people will be
like oh she's fake or that's not her or you know what happened whereas when you
move overseas you start again and you can be like okay
I've been shy for a really long time and I want to try being really confident and
I want to try playing with that side of my personality it's still you but it's
just trying new things so it's super exciting because you get to choose who
you want to be equally being abroad teaches you random life skills like
handing your finances better budgeting about money negotiating like the other
day I was looking for a macbook charger because mine broke yeah they always
break yes so I the original price was 45 euros
I'm on a budget and I get it down to 39, 38 and they're just like okay
unless you're overseas on like you know the expat contract and you don't have
to worry about money definitely life skills with money is super on point and
this impacts your whole lifestyle and we were saying before like if you weren't into
minimalism before you will be now because you don't really have a choice so it
definitely teaches you a lot of life skills but money's number one I think
When you're living abroad especially and my case I've been abroad for almost five
years now and you've been living away and overseas in many many different
places you realize who's really important to you and who takes the time
to keep in touch with you so you have a you know your friend group and you'll
realize that maybe after you know one year two years things start to decline in
terms of communication for some of them and for others it's like nothing ever
changed and every time you go back it's like you just saw them yesterday and you
can really see who are you're gonna be your friends for life who are like the
sisters or your brothers you know really family compared to the friends that were
you know great friends to have maybe for you know that time while you were back
home in that situation but they aren't maybe you know lifelong love let's say
and I think that's important because you realize yourself who's really
important definitely you're not gonna have time to you know message everyone
so I guess you have to really just narrow down and focus on who are my significant others, who really loves me
your soulmates in this life! Definitely and just like friendships, relationships.
You learn to enjoy your own company and it also matures you because you're going to
be alone like a lot of the time and when you're moving abroad and things you're
gonna find yourself in just situations where you won't have your friends you
won't have your family and it just teaches you to enjoy your own company
and being like okay like what am I gonna do today go off to the Louvre by myself and
just do things that you enjoy and yeah just being confident and self love yeah
and after you if you can crack the secret and join your own company I think
that's the secret to lifetime happiness! So I hope you guys liked that video
it's just a small taster of the things that living abroad can do for you how it
can change you for the better how it can make you become a better person don't
forget to go and check out Chloe with her blog and her youtube channel down
below where are you going next? You're moving to Chile?
yeah yeah studying actually for five months and
then I'm heading to Vietnam Wow Paris Chile Vietnam yeah exactly
And let us know down below are you an expat? What's your favorite part of
being an expat? We'll definitely be checking the comments and replying to them so
we'll carry on the conversation down there but until next time see you in the
next video A bient么t!

Devin Nunes' Demo (a hip-hop parody) - Duration: 3:27.
Hi, I'm Devin Nunes, you might know me by my memo?
The one designed to make the Special Counsel tremble?
It landed with a thud, had an impact more ephemeral,
So now dropping knowledge... this is Devin Nunes' DEMO!
Hey Devin!
What?
Release the Demo!
Hey Devin!
What?
Release the Demo!
Hey Devin!
What?
Release the Demo!
Hey Devin!
No really, what?
Name's Nunes, I play spoons, live with two Maine coons,
Eat prunes, sing show tunes, my brain's a buffoons,
Every thought's a popped trial balloons...
Can't keep straight my plurals, played too much intramurals,
Never got much attention from girls.
Grew up out in the armpit of Cali, that's Fresno.
Pastimes? The parking lot at Taco Bell, and meth, yo.
A teenage cattle farmer, I wore sweaters wool knit.
That's also where I first learned to shovel bullshit.
Had goals, to stand up and be counted.
I've basically allowed myself by Donald to be mounted.
Donny I'm your toy!
RELEASE THE DEMO More than Jr., I'm your boy!
RELEASE THE DEMO More than Jared, I'm a goy!
RELEASE THE DEMO Mueller at your boy!
Mueller at your boy!
It's Nunes, and not Nu帽ez.
Get my news from FOX and it's all spoon-fed.
It's not an illusion and it is not heresy.
It wasn't collusion - it is a conspiracy!
I've been directed to concoct tall tales, To keep Trumps from getting cold-cocked in jails.
It was way too easy to hack the election!
Heck, Trump and Stormy used stronger protection! (NONE!)
I'm not Latino I just look like I'm of color.
I think I'm smarter... than Robert Mueller.
The media fell for my non-recused recusal.
At least I've not been accused of some refused abusal!
Thankin' God that I've never been a rapist!
Donald is one though... he's also racist.
This #metoo movement would have had me shitting bricks,
But I've never hit my wife, as it is I just turn tricks,
For Donald!
I'd do anything!
I'm basically his whore!
Feed the rich, F**K the poor!
YOU DOWN WITH GOP?
Yeah, you know me YOU DOWN WITH GOP?
Rule of law can blow me YOU DOWN WITH GOP?
My memo's so phony!
In the movie I'll be played by Dermot Mulroney.
I'm down with GOP, screwing you is what we stand for!
True, I fly low, you all thought I was a bore,
Now I'm lighting up the twitter like I'm propane,
Feel higher than if I'd borrowed Donald's cocaine!
Feed my need for attention spreading false assumptions,
To distract from the fact that we're ALL bought by the Russians,
We got up to so much, we're talking a shit-ton!
If we hadn't it would now be President Clinton!

National School Walkout Near Me: List of All Events Mar 14 | Heavy.com | SML TV - Duration: 6:42.
National School Walkout Near Me: List of All Events Mar 14 | Heavy.com
On Wednesday, March 14, millions of students and staff from across the country will walk out of their classrooms at 10 a.m.
local time to protest gun violence in schools and show support for gun control measures.
So far, nearly 3,000 or more school groups have RSVP'd with the Women's March noting their intention to participate, although there will likely be many more than that.
These groups include high schools, middle schools, elementary schools, and colleges.
Despite what you may have heard, they won't be walking out all day.
Instead, they will walk out for 17 minutes, one minute of silence for each student and staff member killed by Nikolas Cruz at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.
Participants are also encouraged to wear orange.
But how can you know if your school or schools in your area, near you, are participating? This article will show you how, and includes a full list of every school that is taking part.
To see if there's an event near you, visit the Action Network here and enter your ZIP code.
Or visit The Women's March website and enter your City, State, or Country into the search bar (or, alternatively, click on the map to see what's happening in your region.) Below is a SCRIBD document that lists every National School Walkout event in the country that's taking place on March 14, as provided by the Women's March.
The number of schools participating is hard to grasp.
The SCRIBD document is 371 pages long and more than 200,000 words.
You can search the document for your school's or city's name.
However, some are also listed by the school's initials or the school district's initials.
If you don't see your school listed, don't despair.
Some schools didn't place the school name in the event title when registering, so their event will just show a generic title in this document instead.
So be sure and check the Women's March website link above if your school isn't in this SCRIBD document.
You can click on every blue link in the SCRIBD document to see more details about a particular event.

Here's a photo of a map showing every event in the country, courtesy of The Women's March.
Women\'s MarchNational Student Walkout: Every event.
If a students' school isn't allowing them to participate, the Women's March is encouraging them to wear orange and tweet #ENOUGH and #NATIONALSCHOOLWALKOUT.
What exactly will students be doing during those 17 minutes? That's been a topic of discussion on several forums.
Some students noted that their schools are so big, it will take a chunk of those 17 minutes just to get everyone outside. Some have suggested starting letters to local representatives during those 17 minutes, or encouraging anyone who is 18 to vote.
They've also suggested reminding people that the next event is going to be nationwide rallies on March 24.
Other suggestions are to tweet the hashtags #Enough and #NationalSchoolWalkout, and share photos of students who are participating in the walkout, in order to help spread the word about what is happening.
At some schools, members of the faculty will address students during the walkout.
Others will read poems out loud.
Others who are advocating to maintain silence the entire time have suggested giving students something to quietly read or ponder during those 17 minutes.
Others have suggested simply reading aloud the names of each person killed and standing quietly, one name for each minute.
There are at least two more events happening after the March 14 event. On March 24, a national March for Our Lives event is happening, with the major march occurring in DC at 10 a.m.
and sister marches taking place around the country on the same day.
On April 20, another student walkout is being planned by The Network for Public Education.
It's being called the "National Day of Action Against Gun Violence in Schools." The event takes place on the anniversary of the Columbine High School shootings.
Teachers, staff, and students are being encouraged to take part in protests in and around their schools.
Is your school participating? Let us know in the comments below.

This is really fun, don't you find it exciting?
As long as it isn't me that they're indicting.
I'm not known for having original thoughts.
I only have those tweeted out by Russian bots.
Me and Putin?
He's like my houseguest, right?
I even host a Russian virus on my own website!
I got words for you if you think my memo's poo:
Just wait for MEMO TWO: ELECTRIC BOOGALOO!
If there's one thing I'm believing you can bet it's my own hype,
If you can't find me I'm retrieving the TP from Trump's last wipe.
