Agnieszka Hyży ukradła męża Mai Hyży? Fanka ostro krytykuje

#weekend #work #travel #love #my #job #happy #girl #smile #instagood #instaphoto #blonde #blondhair #style #have #fun #hello #good #morning #everybody   .

HOW POPULAR BRANDS GOT THEIR NAMES! *crazy stories* - Duration: 8:31.

HOW POPULAR BRANDS GOT THEIR NAMES!

brand names, nike name, nike commercial,

popular brand names, how to think of a brand name, how to think of a business name

how'd they think of this big company name google sounds weird I'd be - Ok Go

Daddy with me so it's weird bro we're good friends with all the owners of

those companies how we call them and we ask how they came up with those names

and this is what they said tell them how they thought of Hollister so two buddies

back in college we wanted to make a clothing brand but they you wanted it

third dude to tag along so they were searching around all over campus like oh

man like maybe there'll be like somebody who wants to tag along and they were

like looking in the halls they saw this Lister he was like listing stuff in the

halls who's writing is grocery list and they just named after that guy listening

how did they think of Knight year ok 90s one big company so you maybe you guys

have heard this story too again these two guys are like a clothing company

he's like yes they eventually shortened it to Nike but Mikey's actually short

for 90 just do what they told me yeah hi again

idea meeting now there's a bunch of people then they're just trying to think

of names and they all have each their own ideas and potatoes some of me any

good just keep going around call your geez time I'm tired of you Carl

time ever since the girls in the CEO of that dad

vo dad you went on to do some great things started getting tied pawns in one

more day juice board on the Monday use that you started the time contract that

was the greatest marketing scheme of all time everyone resign time Yahoo so the

two founders of the company we're trying to think of a name for the company they

have to take a break right one of the guys says grow have you heard of the the

new rapper and he goes like yeah who there is only one founder in this time

he was a really big star Wars fan you love Star Wars so he decided to open a

car company and everywhere he went you had his little PO Yoda you want to

like meetings and stuff to get any other preparations of the company and they

like to do like 44 years old why do you have a toy Yoda he's like I'll show you

I'm a named my company Toyota and I have a bunch of orders everywhere you go and

you drive a Toyota and you can make fun of me

Adobe Adobe is a unique one because it didn't happen in an office setting

it happened at a wedding so the founders one of the founders is getting married

is why while the other founders sitting in the in the in the try to start you

all the other fathers in the audience right sorry is the weirdest ready yes

sir so the priest dude right though that makes them officially married the

priests do is to start saying his famous line you promise to be a loving caring

husband wife whatever the wife goes like I do and then the priest to ask the

founder he says you promise to be loving whatever whatever husband's like I do be

she's like super light like ganks talked I'm like yeah yeah yeah it's crazy

because uh it was a dad and his son and then he wanted to make a company because

now his only son he's like son you're my only son you're mine you know

Mike's only your name is Sony and then the elbows drop but in the old Rob

didn't want people know God so there's one founder of this company he's born in

Lithuania this guy wants a specific car then he's seen in his dreams okay he has

a drawn out on paper and goes to every single Bueller ship and he goes by

Bugatti people you got this nobody has it he goes the toy is that you got it

and he like no where is he from Lithuania alright so he goes the

Lamborghini dealership you got it they didn't get it

so he makes his own company called who got it because he got it

tell how they got of Cheetos you don't know what that's named after I don't the

founder of Cheetos really like close and you also really like the Cheetah Girls

we mean Cheetos like people that's why she like that yeah it's sceeto imagine

the puffs cheeto puffs I'm imagining it okay now it's more like at all the

founders of the new they wanted to make so they're in college and they had no

soul seven soaps lined up and everyone tested it a day after one of them got a

rash and everyone at the same time some story so Peter do in high school are on

their like lunch break right and they're eating this guy over there just singing

and he just keeps bothering Peter and bills conversation just keep singing

over there there's this thick of sand and then they think they're like how can

we stop Sam from singing and then they think of the telephone you create this

cool looking smart phone anytime Sam starts to song Sam is over there you

wanna Oreos we got your ghost yes how they thought of this this guy and his

son his name is Rio Leo always wanted cookie he's like and I want a cookie and

that feels like Oh Rio he's sick of Rio and then he opened up his own company

now Rio always has cookies the founder of Doritos really like the movie Nemo

okay I like the Union he also like toes three

toes I see it now

this one guy wanted to be somebody his mom was like you can't do anything

without a degree said oh yeah hell yeah came like all the other company a degree

had smelly pits to this guy had the nicest girlfriend ever every Friday she

shaved his face you didn't have to do anything he's like shall add it after

his girlfriend if you enjoy the story behind the brand names leave a like and

turn on the pause notifications hit the button until it goes dangling subscribe

if you're new until next time

acts on Axl

Everyday Makeup for Mature Skin | Doing my Grandma´s Makeup | Professional Makeup Artist Techniques - Duration: 21:07.

hi guys today's video is an everyday makeup for mature skin so that's why I

have my model right here which is my grandmother so she will be my model and

I'm going to show an everyday makeup on her face so that you can do it at home

and I'm going to explain it step by step and don't forget to hit the subscribe

button underneath thank you so much for supporting me and now without further

ado let's get right into this video for step number one I'm going to choose the

color correcting concealer wheel which is this one right here from Ben Nye and

I'm going to cover up her aging spots but you don't have to do it this is an

optional step but this will give you a younger look because the aging

spots are going to disappear and I'm going to choose this pinkish shade right

here because pink will cover up brown and I'm going to use this concealer

brush right here to apply it to her face since she has a few spots I'm going to

cover them up and I'm going to use just a tiny bit of the color correcting

concealer in the pinkish shade just to slightly cover them up because I'm not

going to add too much product to her face because she has a mature skin so

I'm going to use a little bit on her aging spots and you can also blend it

with the finger so that it melts in with the skin

you do not need to cover all the aging spots but I'm going to cover up the

biggest one and also the darkest one so that I have a better contrast and also

even canvas later on with the foundation now for the next step I'm

going to use a little bit of translucent powder on a fluffy brush it's a fluffy

eyeshadow brush but I'm going to dust it over the color correcting concealer

which I have applied before to set the concealer so that it won't move when I'm

applying the foundation so now I have a little bit of translucent powder on the

fluffy brush and I'm going to dust it just a tiny bit on the areas where i

just have used a color correcting concealer to set this part because when

I'm going to apply the foundation later on then it won't move so that it still

will stick to the ageing spots

so and now we can move on to the foundation now for the next step we are

going to apply a foundation and I'm going to choose a lightweight foundation

but still moisturizing foundation because when you are aging and you have

a mature skin then it can happen that you have a very dry skin so that's why

it's important to use moisturizing products so I'm going to choose this

foundation right here on the foundation brush and I'm going to apply it evenly

on her face so I have used a little bit on the roundish foundation brush and I'm

going to apply it little by little and I'm going to blend it into the skin so

I'm going to distribute the product a little bit around her face and then I'm

going to buff it into the skin I'm not going to use too much product on her

skin because it can just settle into the wrinkles and we don't want that so just

be light weighted it when it comes to a foundation you can also apply it with

your fingers but because I'm doing it on herself

I'm going to choose a brush but if you are going to apply it with your fingers

it will give you also an even coverage and if you are using your brush then you

also can do circular motions to buff it into the skin

now I'm going to apply some concealer under her eyes and you can also add some

concealer to the areas where you want more coverage but I wouldn't use too

much because with the wrinkles and if you have a mature skin you want to use

less products so I'm going to apply it right underneath her eye to cover up the

blueness and the redness and that's everything what I'm going to do with the

concealer and I'm going to use a damp beauty blender to blend it into the skin

so I'm going to apply it just right underneath where she has a little bit of

eye bags and I just want to add a little bit of coverage right here underneath

her eyes to give her an awake look and I'm also going to use the Beauty Blender

now to blend it into the skin and then we can move on to the next step

now I'm going to add some translucent powder just where have applied the

concealer so right underneath her eyes and also on top of her eyes because

these areas can crease quite quickly and I just want to prevent it so that's why

I'm going to use a medium fluffy face brush and also some translucent powder

to set it so that it won't move so now I'm going to take the fluffy brush and

add some powder right underneath so that the concealer will stay in place and if

it has creased already a little bit than just use the Beauty Blender again and

blend it back into the skin and now close your eyes now I'm

going to add a little bit of translucent powder on her eyelids because I use a

little bit of foundation on top to even out the blueness and redness on her

eyelids and I'm going to apply a little bit of powder on top so that it won't

crease on the other side the same and if it has already creased a little bit used

to Beauty Blender or the brush again and blend it back into the skin

and now we can move on to the face so now I'm going to take a big powder brush

and I'm going to add some translucent powder over her whole face so that it

won't crease during the day I'm just going to dab it right

into the skin and it also will take the shine if you like to shine and you can

also take some setting spray or just a little bit of powder but this will also

take the shine and it will stay on your face all day long

and now you can see that I have mattified the skin and now everything will

stay in place so now we are moving on to eyebrows and since she has gray hair I'm

going to fill in her eyebrows because she has nearly no eyebrow hairs so I'm

going to choose this shade right here from an eyeshadow palette I'm also going

to choose an angled brush to fill them in and also a brown lash comb you can

also choose a spoolie to just brush the color through her actual brow hairs and

if you don't know what color you should use because you have gray hairs then

just remember the color which you had when you were younger and if this still

matches for you you just can use a little bit of product you don't need to

do harsh eyebrows but just take a shade which you can remember and apply it to

your eyebrows so I'm going to start where her brow hairs are starting and

I'm just going to fill in the natural shape so I'm not going to measure the

three main points I'm just going to fill it in just a little bit so that they are

a little bit more visible but still natural so if you have nearly no

eyebrows then eyeshadow is a great solution if you want to fill them in

now with her eyebrows you can see that these hairs right here they won't just

lay down into the shape as I created now the shape with the eyeshadow

so I'm going to choose a little bit of hairspray on the brow

lash comb and just pray that this will be the right decision so that it will be

just laid down so I'm going to use a little bit of hairspray on the brown

lash comb you can also take the spoolie and then just brush through the hairs so

that they are going to lay down into the shape you want them to

and as you can see it did work

like this

now we can move on to some eyeshadows so I'm keeping it quite simple but still

she has hooded eyes I'm going to use a technique from an hooded eye so I'm going

to choose this shade at first as my transition shade this will be my main

shade and it will add a little bit more of darkness to the hood so that the hood

won't be that visible anymore then this is my second shade to add a

little bit more depth and this shade right here I'm going to use on her

mobile lid and I'm going to apply it with the finger so that I will get the

full shimmer out of it and I'm going to choose these two fluffy brushes to apply

these two shades if you have hooded eyes then always use matte shades on the hood

right here and these can be a little bit darker I wouldn't go with whack but

brownish tones which are matt these are perfect for the hood so when she looks

straight at me then I can see where the hood is and I'm going to apply the shade

right on her hood to darken it a little bit now she can also close her eyes if

because I know now where her hood is I

can apply a little bit of a darker shade on her hood because darker shades will

take back and lighter shades will bring forward so if you have hooded eyes

always use a darker shade on your hood

and if you are doing it by yourself then always make sure that you're looking

straight into the mirror so that you will see where the hood actually is

because then you know where you should apply the darkest shade

so now now you can see already the difference that I use a little bit of a

darker shade right here as on this side so this side you still will see the hood

and this side this will take back the hood so that it won't be that worse

anymore now I'm going to use a second shade which is little bit darker than

the first shade and I'm going to apply it just right here on her hood to a

little bit more depth to it so the first shade I used on her hood and a little

bit above towards the brows and now the second shade I'm keeping it just as low

as the hood is on her mobile it so when she looks straight at me I can see that

this part right here is the area where I'm going to apply the darker shade

and then you always can go back and use the first brush and just blend it into

the other shade

and now you clearly can't see the difference that this side is darker so

that the hood is less visible as on this side

now for the third shade I'm going to take this shimmery shade right here on

her mobile lid so I'm going to just stretch her mobile it a

little bit so that I'm able to apply it with my finger and if you're

applying it with the finger that and it will give you the full pigmentation out

of it and still if you have hooded eyes you can always use a little bit of

shimmer on your mobile it

and even if she will look now into the camera and when she looks down or just

closes her eyes then you still be able to see the shimmer and that's why I like

to use some shimmer even though you have hooded eyes so now for the next step we

are going to move on to mascara so when it comes to mascara you can take normal

one or a waterproof one if you have a very watery eye so that you are going to

cry or just lose some tears every time you're going to apply something or just

because you have problems with your eyes then I would recommend using a

waterproof mascara and if you're going to apply your mascara then tilt your

head back and apply it so your aren't able to touch anything of your beautiful

eye makeup because you're going to tilt your head back now with her eyes she can

look down so that I'm able to apply some mascara now I'm just going to

take a little bit of her eye like just stretch her eye and then wiggle the

mascara through her lashes

so now even though she has very short lashes mascara will play a big role and

it will open up your eye if you have longer lashes and you aren't afraid you

can also use a lash curler but she doesn't like to use it that's why I'm

not going to use it and she needs to feel comfortable so you can also use a

lash curler if this is your preference now we are moving on to lips and I'm

going to use a lip liner because she has a little bit of wrinkles around her

mouth I like to keep the lipstick on her lips so that it's not bleeding so that's

why I'm going to choose a lip liner and then I'm going to apply a shimmery

liquid lipstick that dries down so that she will be able to have it on her lips

all day long so with her lips I'm going to follow her natural lip shape

and she's used to use some lipstick so that's why it's a little bit strange

when I'm going to apply the lipstick I'm not she on her

what I'm just going to fill it in a little bit

so that when I'm applying the liquid lipstick then it won't bleed because of

the lipliner and it's a waxy lip liner so these are great if you have problems

with bleeding when it comes to lipstick

so and now I'm going to fill it in with a liquid lipstick so now I'm going to

use the liquid lipstick and it's a shimmery one

and also because this one drives down it also won't move if you have very dry

lips and I would recommend choosing before a little bit of lip balm

and now I did a mistake right here I'm just going to use a cotton tip

a clean one and I'm going to wipe it away but now she has a beautiful lip

with a little bit of lip liner for the last step we are going to use a little

bit of blush and this blush white he has also a bit of shimmer in it and I'm

going to use a medium face brush which is also an blush brush and I'm going to

apply it on her cheeks and a little bit to her hairline so that this will also

sculpt her face so I'm going to use a little bit I'm going to apply it life

handed on her face and this will give her also a little bit of structure

now I finished off her makeup and with a mature skin it's always important to use

less products because it can settle into the wrinkles and then it won't last you

all day long it will look for the first hour beautiful but later on it can melt

off so that's why I used just lightweight products on her because this

is so important when you have a mature skin and it also should moisturize your

skin because the older you are getting then your skin will dry out and with her

skin she uses every day her moisturizer her skin is beautiful she has a

moisturized skin and then you also can use moisturizing products because then

she will look beautiful and also healthy it doesn't matter if you have a lot of

wrinkles or if you have nearly no wrinkles it's always important that you

are moisturizing your skin when you are getting a little bit older and now with

her finished off her makeup and she feels happy I'm happy and we are both

happy now this is the end of the video and I hope that you enjoyed watching

this video and thank you so much for watching and joining so if you want to

The Saddest Celebrity Breakups Of 2018 So Far - Duration: 4:09.

Love often has an expiration date in Hollywood, and 2018 has already proven that even the

rich and famous aren't safe from heartbreak.

From stars who dated for just a few months to couples who'd been married for more than

a decade, here are some of the saddest celebrity pairings that called it quits in 2018.

Nicki Minaj and Nas

In early January, news broke that rap superstar Nicki Minaj and hip hop artist Nas were starting

off 2018 as newly single celebs.

According to TMZ, after seven months of dating, the distance between the pair contributed

to their split.

They'd reportedly been living in two different cities, and a source told Us Weekly,

"They were never in the same place at the same time, so it was hard to move their relationship

forward."

Fortunately, there's no bad blood between these two.

The source went on to reveal that Nas and Minaj remain friends.

Anne Heche and James Tupper

Despite being together for more than a decade, actress Anne Heche and her longtime partner,

Big Little Lies actor James Tupper, broke up in January.

According to Us Weekly, Heche filed paperwork to establish custody and child support for

their son.

The former couple had also been caring for Heche's son from a previous marriage.

In a joint statement obtained by People, Heche and Tupper said,

"Relationships change and grow; we're taking time for that.

We care very much for each other and plan to continue raising our two beautiful boys

in love and harmony."

Lena Dunham and Jack Antonoff

No one saw this breakup coming: Girls creator and star Lena Dunham and Bleachers musician

Jack Antonoff ended their relationship after logging more than five years together as a

couple.

An E! News insider revealed the split was mutual, saying,

"Jack and Lena were growing apart and it just made sense for them to end their relationship

where it was.

They want the best for each other no matter what.

They are both moving on."

Fans can rest easy knowing that neither celeb harbors any ill will toward the other.

Opening up about why she'll continue wearing a ring Antonoff gave her, Dunham told her

Instagram followers in a live video,

"I'll always wear [it] because love is a really cool, powerful, eternal thing.

It doesn't have to be defined the way we, in Western culture, define it — as beginnings

and ends."

Brandi Glanville and DJ Friese

These two are over.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Brandi Glanville announced her breakup with her boyfriend

of one year, Donald "DJ" Friese — and, apparently, social media was to blame … Instagram in

particular.

Taking to Twitter to share the news, Glanville wrote, "Social media is ruining romance!

It ruined mine."

She later added, "Is official I'm SINGLE!

He is all urs IG hoes!

He is lovely so be nice."

Soon after, Glanville tweeted, "When IG is the real true love of your life I think you

really need to check yourself and change your focus."

Daniel Christopher Allison and Monica Potter

News that Parenthood star Monica Potter and her husband, orthopedic surgeon Daniel Christopher

Allison, ended their marriage circulated in early February.

According to E! News, Potter filed for divorce from Allison a month earlier, citing irreconcilable

differences as the cause of their breakup.

They had been married for more than ten years.

A source told People,

"[Potter is] very sad and heartbroken.

But they are focused on co-parenting their daughter."

Justin Theroux and Jennifer Aniston

Fans were crushed in February when Justin Theroux and Jennifer Aniston announced their

separation.

After tying the knot in 2015, the Leftovers actor and the Friends starlet seemed like

they'd be together forever.

Alas, after a little more than two years of marriage, the pair called it quits, as E!

News reported.

In a joint statement to The Associated Press, Aniston and Theroux said:

"This decision was mutual and lovingly made at the end of last year.

We are two best friends who have decided to part ways as a couple, but look forward to

continuing our cherished friendship."

Rebecca Gayheart and Eric Dane

After more than a decade of marriage, actress Rebecca Gayheart filed for divorce from Grey's

Anatomy's Eric Dane just two days after Valentine's Day, citing irreconcilable differences.

As reported by People, the couple announced the separation in a joint statement, saying:

"After 14 years together we have decided that ending our marriage is the best decision for

our family.

[...] We will continue our friendship and work as a team to co-parent our two beautiful

girls as they are the most important thing in the world to us."

7 Organisms That Can Clean Toxic Waste - Duration: 11:51.

[♪ INTRO]

Humans have done a lot to pollute the world we live in,

contaminating soils and water with everything from oil to radioactive waste.

Luckily, some parts of nature have evolved to survive this pollution,

and might even be able to help us clean up these contaminants.

Using living organisms to get rid of toxic waste is called bioremediation.

It's safe and cost-efficient, and we're discovering new ways to do it all the time.

Bacteria are often the go-to bioremediators, but certain plants and animals can pitch in too.

Here are 7 organisms with the potential to make our world a cleaner place.

Fungi are so useful for bioremediation that there's a special word just for them: mycoremediation.

Fungi grow quickly and are great decomposers, using networks of

threadlike structures called mycelia to burrow into organic material like

decomposing trees and inorganic material like rocks.

Mycelia are actually the main body of a fungus;

mushrooms are just a temporary reproductive structure.

As they dig through the soil, mycelia ooze a variety of chemicals

known as extracellular metabolites.

These are enzymes and other compounds that break down molecules, including potentially toxic ones,

into pieces that fungus can digest and absorb.

Researchers who study fungi have found over 120 different enzymes

being produced by different species.

And in the 1990s, a mycologist named Paul Stamets helped develop a strain of oyster mushroom

with enzymes called peroxidases, which can break down hydrocarbon molecules

in oil-contaminated soil.

This is a big deal because oil contaminants can take a really long time to decompose,

and have all sorts of toxic effects on the ecosystem in the meantime.

Oyster mushrooms and other fungi have been deployed as an experiment to

clean up the aftermath of oil extraction in the Amazon rainforest,

and in an oil-contaminated creek in New York City.

That's something to think about the next time you're picking mushrooms off your pizza!

It turns out that cheerful sunflower plants can be great at sucking up radioactive contaminants.

After a nuclear disaster, radioactive isotopes typically stick around in soil and water,

continuing to emit harmful ionizing radiation for decades.

But some of these radioactive molecules are physically and chemically similar

to some nutrients that plants need, like potassium and calcium.

So as some plants grow, their roots can absorb the radioactive isotopes

right alongside these nutrients.

Sunflowers work especially well for this, because they can grow pretty fast

and can thrive in a lot of different climates.

What's more, they accumulate these isotopes in their shoots and stems,

making it fairly easy to dispose of contaminated plant matter.

After the meltdown at Chernobyl in 1986, a company working on the cleanup

built rafts of sunflowers with roots dangling into contaminated ponds.

The sunflower plants sucked up cesium-137 and strontium-90.

And removing those contaminants with this method cost only two to six dollars

for every thousand gallons of water, which is pretty cheap!

The method was less effective for soil, because some radioactive isotopes

can nestle tightly into tiny cavities in clay, where they're harder to extract.

But sunflowers work well enough that they've also been used to try and clean up

groundwater at a uranium-processing plant in Ohio,

contaminated springs at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory

in Tennessee, and even around Fukushima.

Bivalves are mollusks with two-piece hinged shells.

This is the group that includes clams, oysters, and mussels.

They're constantly filtering the water around them,

because they're after tiny, free-floating organisms like plankton.

But in the process, they also suck up chemicals like weed killers, pharmaceuticals, and flame retardants,

as well as removing gunky sediment and algae that can mess up ecosystems.

This can be rough on the bivalves' immune system, but in many cases they survive.

This has led to a lot of interest in restoring natural oyster

populations in places like Chesapeake Bay.

And some scientists are even experimenting with bivalves in other places in need of clean-up.

For a 2014 study, researchers looked at two bivalves:

a mussel species from California and an invasive variety of Asian clam.

They put these species into tanks and flowed wastewater

spiked with 7 chemical contaminants through them.

After 72 hours, the bivalves had sucked up and processed 80 percent of one contaminant,

triclocarban, and smaller amounts of the others.

Triclocarban is an antibacterial chemical that's often used in hand soaps.

If it's in the water supply, it'll kill some bacteria.

But any microbes in the water that happen to mutate and survive

will reproduce and be more resistant to triclocarban,

or possibly other antibacterial compounds they come across.

Which isn't good for us if they cause disease.

Plus, triclocarban can also have effects on hormones in living things.

The same group of scientists then tested their bivalves in a polluted lake in San Francisco

known to have high concentrations of E. coli bacteria.

And some strains of E. coli can make people sick.

They fed water from the lake through tanks of bivalves and took some samples of the

water going in and the water coming out.

And turns out the mussels efficiently filtered the bacteria out of the lakewater,

digesting it with no apparent bad effects.

Lead-contaminated water has been in the news a lot in recent years,

partially because of the ongoing crisis in Flint, Michigan.

Lead builds up in our teeth and bones, spreading to other parts of our body from there

and interfering with the brain, liver, and kidneys.

Which… becomes a big problem.

We've been developing filtration devices that remove lead from water,

but a recent study shows that a species of moss may be able to help.

Japanese researchers found a possible lead decontamination option in bonfire moss,

known to grow well in sites contaminated with heavy metals,

which are just metallic elements that tend to be pretty dense and toxic.

The scientists exposed the moss to solutions with

varying concentrations of 15 different metals.

About a day later, analysis with a mass-spectrometer

showed that the cells of the moss samples that were exposed to lead

had absorbed enough to make it around 74% of their dry weight.

Most of that lead was in the cell walls of the moss,

and the scientists couldn't determine the exact mechanism.

But a different analysis showed that these cell walls contained an unusually large amount

of a compound called polygalacturonic acid.

So they think it might be involved in binding lead atoms somehow.

Applying this to real-world cleanup is still in the future,

but the researchers definitely think it has promise.

Especially because the lead uptake worked across different conditions.

Who knows, maybe someday lush carpets of moss will be a part of our water treatment systems.

There's a humble-looking plant species with white flowers called alpine pennycress.

It's a member of the cabbage family, and it has an unexpected superpower.

When it grows in soil contaminated with heavy metals,

it concentrates a bunch of them in its leaves.

Like, more than 100 times the heavy metal concentrations that a typical plant can handle.

That's why it's considered a hyperaccumulator.

There are actually hundreds of hyperaccumulator species in the world,

but alpine pennycress is pretty unique.

It's one of only three species known to take in cadmium,

and the only one that can do both cadmium and zinc.

Like with lead, chronic exposure to these heavy metals

can have a variety of health impacts on humans.

Cadmium can cause severe liver and kidney problems, and too much zinc can cause vomiting,

fatigue, or mess with your immune system.

Part of the secret behind this plant's ability lies in specialized transport proteins,

although other molecular pieces are probably involved.

In most plants, transport proteins regulate the accumulation of heavy metals in cells,

letting the plant take in low levels but

rejecting them once the concentration reaches a certain point.

But alpine pennycress seems to lack this kind of regulation;

it just keeps sucking up more heavy metals with seemingly no adverse effects.

Unfortunately, pennycress plants are too small to have a big remediation impact on their own,

but researchers have been looking into how to

harness the molecular mechanisms at work.

In 2011, for example, Chinese researchers managed to express the gene for a key alpine

pennycress enzyme in tobacco, which significantly increased its ability to accumulate cadmium.

Now, that tobacco plant with an alpine pennycress gene wasn't the

first tobacco plant engineered for bioremediation.

In 1999, researchers in the UK inserted a gene from a bacteria species into tobacco.

The gene coded for a protein called PETN reductase,

which is capable of digesting two nitrogen-based compounds.

One's called pentaerythritol tetranitrate, or PETN,

and the other is glycerol trinitrate, or GTN.

Both of these chemicals are powerful explosives, and sometimes military and industrial activity

leaves trace amounts of them behind in soil.

Which is not good.

When the scientists tested out their creation,

they found that the plain tobacco plants they used as controls

could barely grow at all in soils containing even just a little bit of GTN.

The engineered plants, on the other hand, not only sprouted and grew at a normal rate,

they also absorbed and broke down the explosive compounds.

Since then, scientists have turned their attention to another nitrogen-based explosive that you've

probably heard of: 2,4,6-trinitrotoluene, or TNT.

For a 2007 study, tobacco plants engineered with both the PETN reductase gene and a second

bacterial gene for breaking down nitrogen compounds were grown in soil spiked with TNT.

Not only did the plants lower the concentration of TNT in the polluted soil, but in doing

so, they also seemed to help out nearby microbes.

Both the biomass and metabolic activity of bacteria

growing around the roots of tobacco plants increased.

And since microbes are essential for soil health, that's good news too.

Wax moth caterpillars are probably most familiar to two kinds of people: anglers and beekeepers.

They're bred and sold as premium fishing bait.

And in the wild, they eat beeswax and are a major beekeeping pest.

But a scientist and amateur beekeeper discovered by accident

that they'll also chow down on something else: plastic.

She removed some wax moth caterpillars from one of her hives and put them into a plastic bag.

And later, she was surprised to find that they'd eaten their way out.

Then she did a follow-up study in a lab, which was published in 2017.

And experiments showed that in just half a day, a hundred worms could eat

almost a tenth of a gram of polyethylene.

Scientists also smashed up caterpillars and spread the goo on plastic surfaces.

And that goo ate holes in polyethylene, too.

This test confirmed that an enzyme in the caterpillar was truly breaking down the plastic,

they weren't just chewing it up into smaller bits.

This is a big deal because polyethylene is used in a lot of packaging.

Some estimates say about 40% of the plastic products today are made of this stuff,

and it doesn't easily break down on its own.

We don't know yet exactly what enzymes are involved in the caterpillars' plastic-eating prowess,

but presumably it's the same ones they use for digesting wax.

So, the next step will be identifying those enzymes and figuring out how to

put them to work breaking down plastic waste.

Some have raised concerns that breeding lots of these

wax-eating caterpillars could put bees at further risk, but maybe their

plastic-destroying genes could be stuck into bacteria or something else.

So if science looks hard enough, there's probably a plant, animal, mushroom,

or microbe out there that can help us deal with pretty much any kind of toxic waste.

Adaptations can be pretty incredible.

Izzy Goudros - Heptathlon & Weightlifting Training Success Story - Duration: 1:48.

Hi, my name's Izzy.

I'm 14 years old.

I do track and field.

I'm a sprinter and hurdler.

And I've been weightlifting for six years.

My dream is to first of all to go to the US, hopefully on a scholarship for a university

and my larger dream is to go to the Olympics and compete for either the Heptathlon or the

hurdles.

I heard about LPS through my dad.

He's known Clance for many years and both of his daughters did weightlifting.

So we came and checked it out and we've been doing it since then.

For the first few years I was a bit nervous to tell people.

I thought they would think it was a bit odd that I was eight and I was weightlifting.

But recently I've been a bit more open about it and now I enjoy doing it a lot.

After I started weightlifting my numbers definitely started to improve.

I got a lot faster and it's definitely given me an advantage at the track.

For example, in the 200 over the past month it's improved by over a second after I started

training heavier at LPS.

At the provincials recently, two weeks ago I got three golds, which I was really happy

about.

I tied the provincial record in hurdles and they just keep getting faster and faster and

my rankings keep going up.

LPS is definitely an energetic environment.

You're always encouraged to do your best.

Everyone here is really motivating.

It's very respectful here.

And Clance definitely has a great passion for weightlifting and you'll see it every

time you train.

You're always like motivated to do your best because you see athletes around you training

really heavy.

For younger athletes, I tell them that they have to put in the work because they're not

going to get the results they want unless they're willing to do all the work.

Definitely to try out something like weightlifting.

It's definitely helpful.

And I think they'd really enjoy it.

Organizer for Bracelets Step by step - Duration: 9:07.

Hello friends, welcome to your channel Arte in Your Hands, for today we are going to teach you

to make this arm, It is usually used in costume jewelery, in

the jewelries, to exhibit their bracelets and sell them, but we

we can also make them part to have them in our home and thus have the bracelets

ordered, I hope you join me in all the

step by step so that they learn to do it together with me, Welcome!

and these are

the materials that we are going to use for perform arm bracelets

then a sheet of the color that you want in foam or rubber eva more or less an eighth

scissors, a skewer stick, pencil, a piece of wood mdf or the sea

easier to get 14 cm x 8 centimeters

are you normally the carpenters or cabinetmakers, often throw away the remnants

then you can recycle or reuse and have it cut off from this measure or

larger or smaller depending on the size of the arm

this is a stick a frame that has an average of 9 centimeters in length and

width of 2 centimeters, can also use the round ones, they are also

perfect for these projects but I I had this ...

this is one of the tubes

internal that comes in aluminum foil, the kitchen paper, the more resistant

be better because you will have more life

also glue for wood, paints

acrylics in the colors that suit them most like, in this case I'm going to use yellow,

fuchsia or strong pink and turquoise blue. brushes, a hammer, I will use

also spearhead, silicone hot with the gun, a piece of

cardboard also that we are not using to give firmness to the project and

these are some tips without head for wood, of a measure of 3/4 of an inch

then with these materials we started

We started the project doing the following we are going to take the table

which is going to be the base and we look for the center, as she has a measure of 14

x 8 cm, then we place the center and then we take the frame, we apply

glue for wood

Let it dry for a while, let it be well located

and then so that the piece remains firm

we take lace of these for wood that have no 3/4 "head and

with the help of the hammer then we would nail this part into the base ...

here as you can see, key the lace

As it has no head then it remains sign the lower part of what the arm is

Now what I'm going to do is

this is another aluminum foil tube base

then I have another one that I cut to 20 centimeters, so that it remains a size

right, the hole that I have here is the measure of laying the foundation, take the

measure mark and cut with the scalpel spear point, remove the piece that does not

served and the court and this is the one that is going to stay, it's going to tie us together with the base

Now what I'm going to do is I'm going to start decorating and painting with the

acrylic paintings that I teach to the Start

then I will decorate it in one color turquoise blue and then make some flowers

with this yellow and with this fuchsia ...

it has completely dried the base of the arm

for the bracelets then what are we going to do is decorate, with the yellow tone

with the end of a brush I will start making a few points so

random

so for the whole base you can decorate it with more you like ..

but for example this yellow is very nice and highlights on this turquoise blue

I already made the points in yellow now what what I'm going to do is in this fuchsia tone

I'm going to make other points around the so that they can form flowers

term the entire base and then this is how the

basis of the project, we wait for it to dry and meanwhile we begin to work the arm

now then to the body of what would be

the arm where we're going to put the bracelets we will cover with a piece

in foam or rubber eva, this has a measurement of 20 centimeters and the contour

of 12.3 centimeters, I'm going to cut a piece that you have already pointed out

previously with the skewer stick so as not to damage or stain and what we are going

to do is cut

considering the Measure the circle of the cardboard tube

We are going to take out 2 pieces in foami (rubber eva) and 2 pieces in the recycled cardboard, in this

that we were using what we're going to do is we're going to paste the pieces of

paperboard

we locate the cardboard tube that is left well from end to end in the piece of

foami (rubber eva) let's start to hit but

before hitting, before doing it let's take this cut

let's use the scissors or the scalpel any of the 2 and we're going

to cut a little

we remove so that it is well that space and the same thing we do with the

other side

when you have already cut exactly tailored

then I start to stick with silicone hot

I have already stuck it then now what I'm going to do is put the piece of cardboard

and foami in the extremes

here at the end if you want Cover imperfections can decorate

with a bit of rat tail cord, the piece was ready

now we are going to join or hit the base that we decorate

what we are going to do

is that we apply glue and we're going to enter then through the hole, we make a

little bit of pressure, so that it comes in and so then since that would give the

piece, the arm for the bracelets ....

and so then the project is already

finished as you can see this is a idea in which we can have ordered

the bracelets or also when we have business is a way of showing them and

do that in an orderly manner our Clients see what we have for them

then I hope you like it put in practice

remember that we read your comments and suggestions, a hug for all of you

our subscribers and subscribers that They see us all over the world and we see each other in

an upcoming video here on your channel Arte en Tus Manos

TOMB RAIDER (2018) Movie Review – Alicia Vikander – Daniel Wu – Walton Goggins – #TombRaider - Duration: 4:39.

So, back in the day, when they showed London in a movie, they'd usually show the bridge

or Big Ben or some landmark…

Nowadays, it's always that suppository looking building, front and center…

Like, hey!

It's a giant pill that you stick up your ass!

We must be in the greatest city on the world!

Hey folks, I'm Max.

Catch me on Twitter at LazyMovieNerd.

This is Boo.

She is my newest foster and currently she is scared out of her mind.

And… we lost Shadow.

Now let's talk about Tomb Raider.

Tomb Raider is based on an uber popular video game, which I actually never played.

I also didn't see the movie with Angelina Jolie.

So, now that we've established how much of a hipster asshole I am, I'll say that

I was able to appreciate this movie on its own merit, without unnecessary comparisons.

So…

A good action/adventure movie has a number of acts: The intro, where we learn about the

main character, preferably through some fun, lighthearted action.

Then we go into the set-up, where the hero decides to set out on his or her quest for

some reason on another.

Then the part where a team is assembled, so on and so forth…

Eventually, hopefully without too much delay, we get to the actual quest and action part,

then some stuff happens, then eventually the climax, and wind down back at home.

Sometimes there's a short scene that sets up the sequel…

To make a fun movie, follow this formula, don't screw up your landings, and Bob's

your uncle.

Tomb Raider does just that and it's a great fun adventure movie.

It has a perfect intro where we learn about Lara Croft, who is, of course, played by Alicia

Vikander...

I'll tell you what…

She got into amazing shape for this movie.

Amazing.

She's like a human-shaped piece of marmalade.

I'd let her marmalize me any day!

OK.

Enough with the objectification, or whatever the heck they call it when you say that someone's

hot.

Aside from her looks Alicia Vikander has charisma, clearly has fun in the role, and in general,

great in both the talking parts and the ass-kicking parts.

Basically, she's the daughter of an uber rich guy who vanished.

She refuses to accept that he is dead and lives like some hipster, working as a bicycle

currier.

Stuff happens and she figures out that her dad was into weird ancient myths and went

hunting for one.

An ancient tomb on some remote island.

She decides to go find him.

Along the way she meets Lu Ren, played by Daniel Wu.

He's a boat captain who agrees to take her to where her father went.

They get shipwrecked and captured by these mercenaries, who are trying to open the same

tomb her father tried to find.

Some action happens, they go into the tomb, a bunch more action happens, et cetera.

I don't want to spoil beyond what the trailers already did.

Each section of the plot flows perfectly into the next one.

The movie has a perfect pace, so there are no boring moments, but enough time is devoted

to each thing, so we figure out what's going on and learn what we need to learn.

The main bad guy is played by Walton Goggins, who has some hilarious lines throughout.

I kind of liked him as he's just a guy who wants this shit over with and go home.

He dies in a very predictable, but fun way.

There are hardly any surprises in the movie, but this doesn't matter because it's all

fun.

The cast seems to gel really well and no one phones it in.

The only thing that surprised me - very pleasantly, I must say - was the nature of the tomb itself.

I won't spoil any more.

Also, what was very pleasant was how well all of the puzzles that Lara solved were woven

into the script.

I expected them to be totally shoehorned in, but they weren't.

The action scenes are fun.

The effects are very good, except for a few spots, and the dialogue isn't dumb.

Really.

This is a thoroughly good movie in every way.

Basically, if you thought that no one can make a good video game movie, Warner Brothers

just showed you how it's done.

They can't seem to make a superhero movie that doesn't suck, but they sure knocked

it out of the park with the video game thing.

Go see this movie.

It's great.

You're gonna like it.

Because I said so.

That's about it.

Click the thumbs up below because you're awesome like that and click the subscribe

button if you think that I'm awesome.

I'm Max and I'll see you later!

ASMR RELAXATION OF YOUR BODY 💕 SOFT BREATHING - Duration: 8:58.

Hello!

Today I will help you relax your body.

Relax

Breathe deeply

Imagine your body

Look in every corner of it

If your body is tense

Dispose of it with exhalation

Imagine

Together with the exhalation all your clamps and pain go away ...

You exhale the tension ...

And completely relax ...

Relax the muscles of the face, forehead, lips ...

And in this position - exhale

In this case, your cheeks should not be inflated

Relaxing the face is an effective way to relieve tension.

Let's try together!

It is easier to remove the voltage if ...

If you utter vowels.

This is a great way to relieve tension.

Do not be shy.

The imagination will help you to completely relax.

Imagine that you are on vacation ...

on the shores of a warm ocean ...

you have plenty of time ...

there is no need to hurry ...

you hear the sound of the surf ...

gently blowing a cool breeze ...

you feel the moist sea air ...

the sun's rays caress your body ...

Imagine this ...

Turn on the relaxing music ...

For example this ...

Your task ...

learn to relax automatically ...

for a short time...

Analyze what helps you to relax.

Perhaps this concentration on a certain part of the body ...

Or the idea that you're at sea.

Remember these feelings

And remember when you want to relax ...
