Kindle publishing business we're gonna talk about it come on hey guys it's
K-Ninja here and today we're going to be talking about Kindle publishing business
but before we get into it if you're at all into self-publishing

running a business running a business is hard it's cutthroat you're a business
person and if you're paying contractors and laborers they depend on the success
of your business because if you fail their families starve you can't fail the
lives of children depend on you you're a business person you're running a
business you have responsibilities you've got to get serious you need to
buckle down and be serious running a business is not a joke you can't treat
it as a joke if you run a dishonest and fraudulent business the law will catch
up with you and the powers that be will take you down you need to make sure
you're paying your taxes and if you want to know a little more about Kindle

business is a joke then you need to take a long look in the mirror and get
serious because you are a business person it's your life it's your business
are you gonna let it die or step up to the plate because that picture is gonna
start throwing fast balls in the competition is fierce so if you can't
even hit the ball you're out you have no rights trying to start a publishing
business if you can't even hit the ball but if you can't hack it maybe you need
to consider a new career maybe a Kindle publishing business isn't for you you
need to take this seriously come
what are you doing are you always gonna be a failure in life if it gets too hard
are you gonna crumpled under the pressure and fall to the ground like a
little crybaby failure is not an option don't even think like that you can't
even think like that don't even think like that failure is not an option and
if you follow my lead you will succeed when you start Kindle publishing you
might not have a business you might upload one or two books to the Kindle
Store and not even be sure if you're gonna make any money back on those books
but once some money starts to roll in whether you've registered your business
or not you're actually now a business now I'm not going to advise you on what
type of business structure you should create as it largely depends on your
circumstances and on your location so you're going to need to talk to a
professional consultant about that and I would recommend that that can sulfate be
a tax advisor but any business consultant should do and before you meet
with your consultant or advisor you're gonna want to have a list of questions
prepared just so you know you can expect a consultant or advisor to cost anywhere
from a hundred and fifty dollars an hour to thousands of dollars an hour it
really depends on the level of the consultant or advisor I've talked to
quite a few of them and in most cases they cost about three hundred dollars an
hour so since you're paying a high price to talk to one of these professionals
you really want to make sure that any question that you might have is written
down and you don't want to forget anything and you want to bring that list
of questions with you when you're talking with a professional like a
business consultant or a tax advisor you'd be surprised at how much
information can be exchanged in a short period like 30 minutes
or an hour now if you don't have the money to speak with a professional about
how you should be structuring your business then that's okay it's not the
end of the world though I'd recommend that at the very least that you register
a sole proprietorship how much does it cost to register a sole proprietorship
it's free at least in most places I'm not sure what country you're in and I
don't know the laws of every country so it is possible that some countries might
charge a premium in order to register a sole proprietorship but I've never heard
of that if you're us-based then it depends what state you're in now where
do you register a sole proprietorship well basically you want to ask your
local city office about that so find your City Hall or whatever kind of
building your city has and walk over there and start talking to people and
ask them where can I register a business and in most cases to register a sole
proprietorship all you do is you fill out a simple form and you're done it's
that easy it's a simple easy smooth process now once you're done you should
have either a stamped copy of your form or some kind of certificate that states
that you're a sole proprietorship and if you don't want the sole proprietorship
to be your name you can actually put down that you want to use a DBA and DBA
means doing business as and that's basically a trade name the benefit of
the trade name is that nobody knows it's you and also it just looks a lot more
professional like you're a real company when you're doing business under a
treaty now before you choose a trade name you need to make sure that the
trade name which you choose is not trademarked it's not that hard you go on
Google you find websites where you can search trademarks and you search for a
trademark for the name that you want to use I'll put a link in the description
for a site where you can search for trademarks just in case you're lost on
that now as a business you have to deal with
other things and what's very important is that you keep records of your profits
and losses otherwise known as a P&L statement and if all of your debits and
credits are coming from the same bank account then that's very easy to do
actually so I recommend you take your business certificate or whatever your
City office gives you for registering your sole proprietorship and you walk on
down to some of your local banks and what you want to do is open up a
business account for a sole proprietorship and any expenses that you
have such as for book cover art or people who format or writers or whatever
you pay out for things is deductible it's all deductible and you want to make
sure that you're using your business account to pay for all your business
expenses because if you mix business with personal then things can get a lot
more complicated so you don't want to mix business with person keep your
personal bank account for personal things and use your business account for
your business expenses a lot of my expenses happen to be various software's
like all the responders and web stuff for my back-end as well as contract
labor like writers and for matters and cover designers but that doesn't mean
that that's going to be your expenses because you decide how you run your
business so you do what you do and I'll do what I do and if you want to know

but I didn't have it it didn't exist that's why I built it but you can have
it and it will give you a lot of shortcuts that will save you from making
a lot of costly mistakes so I highly recommend that you check it out and you
want to make sure that your business account information is set up with
Amazon so that they pay you to your business account and if you're able to
get all of that set up as a sole proprietorship then congratulations
because that means that you are officially in business you're a business
man or woman not some punk hippie homeless person and
if you're a sole proprietorship you are the business which also means that you
are a hundred percent liable for any issues that the business might have so
you're gonna have full legal liability which also means that you are a hundred
percent fully legally liable for any issues that your business has which
means that you're gonna want to be extra cautious and be sure to do things
100% legally because if your business gets sued for anything you get sued now
the next step from a sole proprietorship is to upgrade to something called an LLC
and you don't really need to do that unless your business is actually really
profitable so if you're only making like $30.00 a month
stick with us all proprietorship however if you're making some where abouts
upwards of two grand a month it's time to upgrade to an LLC an LLC is basically
a limited liability company and the LLC is not you it is a separate entity now
they don't have an LLC in every country but every country has some kind of
business type that's a version of an LLC and I'm not gonna give you any business
advice beyond that you really need to talk to a professional business advisor
I am NOT your business advisor now with your business as with any business
you're gonna have a lot of headaches regularly
now you can outsource things to people to handle a lot of your headaches but
most of your headaches you're gonna need to handle yourself and even those people
that you outsource things to those people will also give you headaches and
if you don't know what I mean by lots of headaches then you've never ran a
business before anyway that's all we got time for at the moment if you have

get especially if you're successful its total freedom you can eat whatever you
want to eat and do whatever you want to do and buy whatever you want to buy and
you don't have to report in to an office and you don't have a boss you are the
