A 21 year-old Sevillian and lifelong Betis supporter,
Fabian Ruiz joined Real Betis at a young age and began to hone his skills in the club's academy.
After the departure of Dani Ceballos, the Benito Villamarin now has a new figurehead,
a player who is really making his mark and attracting the attention of big clubs.
He made his first appearances in LaLiga Santander in the 2015/2016 season, playing in 12 matches.
He didn't feature in Poyet's plans last season and was sent out on loan to Elche,
but the time soon came to return home.

At the young age of 17 he was becoming a stand out player in the team.
Villarreal, only two points behind Barça, were also involved in the race for the league title.
