Youtube daily report Mar 9 2018

literally no one has seen this recipe

and it's not even an actual recipe

so count yourself lucky

hi everybody, I'm Amanda the G and welcome back to my lovely kitchen

why do I have a giant ass pot?

because I'm frikin' makin' pasta sauce

this pot is deceiving cause it's huge

it's absolutely ginormous

so I'm upping my normal recipe

you clearly need tomato paste

tomato sauce

crushed tomatoes

which I accidentally got the kind that has basil and herbs in it

so

we'll just have to adjust as I go

time to open a shit ton of jars

I have 5 of these jars of sauce this time

3 of tomato paste which might be too much

and 4 of crushed tomatoes

(pouring noises)

I'm just gonna start with 2 cans of this

and kind of see where we're going with this and water

cause it's all about making it the right thickness

cause if it's too thin

it just gets everywhere

and if it's too thick

then it just doesn't work either

you have to have it right

it's gotta be right

it's like baby bear sauce

mama bear's too thick

dada bear's too thin

baby bear

perfect

I'm also adding a can full of water

one of the big cans

which I like to swirl through all the other ones to get the rest of the tomato stuff

in there

don't waste it

(sloshing noises)

so to this, I'm going to add

oregano

and basil

parsley

and a shit ton of red chili pepper flakes

and then a full thing of garlic

I don't ever measure

I go based on what it feels like

and what it looks like

then what it smells like, and what it tastes like

you don't need measurements, measurements are stupid

caveat: measurements aren't actually stupid

(music and spices pouring)

I like spicy sauce

this has to go low and slow

for a long time

don't put it up on high and boil it, you're gonna ruin your fuckin' sauce

so

this is baby bear sauce

it's goin' be juss right

put a little lid on it

medium low

for like

at least an hour

because you really need the flavors to meld together

taste it as you go, add more as you need to

so I never put away my herbs or my extra can

until I KNOW that the sauce is perfect the way it is

thanks to the magic of editing

that two hours probably felt like a blink to you, because it was!

we're about to can

and the important thing with canning is everything has to be hot

canner is boiling

this is boiling

all the jars are hot, I have lids over here that are hot

these save you from dying

these

are the little

can grips

the jar gripper things

red goes on the hot

you absolutely cannot can without these

by the way

you will burn the shit out of yourself

ALWAYS USE YOUR POT HOLDERS

gonna take this lid off

you pull up your little metal thing

this is the part where I usually burn the crap out of myself

hot sauce

hot jar

hot canner

everything hot

hot lids

hot, hot, hot, hot

I cannot stress that enough, if you are canning, EVERYTHING MUST BE HOT

and I- OOHH

yep

that just burned me (laughing)

(steam noises, quiet music, and jars clinking)

final jar is going in

and then this whole thing gets lowered down into the water

it's very heavy

(lid crashing)

and that boils for like 20 minutes

(music playing)

(music, steam, clanking)

then you take em out

I like to take em out in the same star pattern

(music, steam)

you don't have to, it's totall your call

I just like it cause it keeps the weight even and then it doesn't tip to one side and fall over

individually, once you take them out of the heat

each jar will seal and it'll go

pthhhkk

(jar seals)

like that!

all of our jars- now if that doesn't happen

then you have a problem

so that

is a VERY, VERY, VERY small canning day

for me

I typically can a shit ton of stuff

and sometimes my canner is on for like 12 hours

so that's it for this video

if you liked it, click the like button

and subscribe to my channel

I make a new video every Tuesday and Friday

thank you guys so much for watching

MWAH!

(music playing)

Pacific Fleet Commander discusses 'up-gunned' ESG concept - Duration: 0:57.

USS Wasp Strike Group recently departed

Commander Fleet Activities Sasebo

to patrol the waters of the 7th Fleet area of responsibility.

This deployment hallmarks the first use of the F-35B

Joint Strike Fighter on an amphibious ship

as well as implements the concept

of the 'upgunned' expeditionary strike group.

Now with the advent of two enablers

the first is the MV-22 and the second one is JSF.

We have significant capability

that we never had before on our big deck amphibs.

It isn't just evolutionary, it's revolutionary

as to the capability, the capacity

that we now have in our amphibious ARGs.

The upgunned ESG is a U.S. Pacific Fleet-initiated

concept that aims to provide lethality and survivability

to a traditional three-ship amphibious ready group.

Top 10 Canadian Superheroes - Duration: 6:26.

Hey guys!

Welcome back to Top 10 Nerd, I'm Ron McKenzie-Lefurgey.

While Canada is often overlooked in superheroism thanks to our loudmouth neighbours to the

south, there are a bunch of great heroes who hail from the Great White North.

And as a Canuck myself, I simply had to make a list of some of my favourites.

Some you'll recognize, and some may be brank spankin new to ya!

If you want more after this, check out Kelly's Top 10 Facts about Spawn video!

And let me know in the comments if you'd like any other country's superheroes in the spotlight!

Now get ready, it's time for the Top 10 Canadian Superheroes!

Number 10: Sasquatch.

Awwww yeahhhh.

What a way to start off the list.

Walter Langkowski comes from British Columbia, home of the mythical Sasquatch.

He got rich playing for the Green Bay Packers, before moving onto studies at MIT.

After working with Bruce Banner, Walter decided to study gamma radiation.

In an accident gone wrong, he changed into a beast that resembled the Bigfoot of local

myth, and went on a rampage.

However, he was taught to remain in control while in beast form by Snowbird and Shaman

of Alpha Flight, eventually taking on the name Sasquatch and joining the team.

Sure he's basically a Canadian version of The Hulk, but he's so distinctly Canadian

that it doesn't look like a straight up copy like certain other heroes on this list.

Number 9: Puck.

While Eugene Milton Judd may not look it, he was once a tall, swashbuckling soldier.

However, after accidentally releasing the sorcerer Raazer, he had much of his height

and lifeforce taken away, before absorbing the sorcerer back into his body.

While this left him short, it did give him a greatly extended lifespan, allowing him

to live on until Guardian created Alpha Flight, which he joined.

Nicknamed Puck, presumably after the Shakespearean fairy, he fought to protect the True North

Strong and Free, while trying to keep the evil sorcerer contained inside him.

Also, he's good friends with Wolverine.

Because they're basically the same person.

Number 8: Captain Canuck.

Captain Canuck dates back to 1975, and is, of course, a shameless Canadian version of

Captain America.

He uses a power suit based on alien technology, which lets him fly and gives him extra strength.

In most ways, he's rather similar to Captain America, with the fairly limited powers and

the fighting for his country.

But he's Canadian.

So he's better.

Number 7: Guardian.

Guardian is basically the Marvel version of Captain Canuck, who was the Canadian version

of Captain America.

Basically, Guardian is a copy of a copy of superhero.

How unique!

Guardian designed an armoured suit for the company he worked for with the intent of using

it for geological exploration, but when he learned his employer wanted to sell the suit

to the military, he took it for himself, eventually gaining the rights legally.

The suit taps into the electromagnetic field of the earth, allowing him to fly, shoot energy

beams, and make forcefields around himself.

He used it to fight crime, and start his own superhero team, Alpha Flight.

And he's from London, Ontario.

Hell yeah.

Number 6: Flying Fox.

Flying Fox is the first Indigenous-inspired superhero on the list, and he's pretty wicked.

And not just because his real life name makes for a pretty decent superhero name.

Flying Fox comes from a First Nations tribe near the Arctic Circle.

He was killed by the Nazis and resurrected in order to fight them.

His grandpa teaches him to use various herbs and magics to cast illusions, and gives him

a magic coat that let him fly.

He ends up joining the Young All-Stars.

I really like this, it's kind of a combination of First Nations mythology and the modern

superhero; really cool.

Number 5: Northstar.

Northstar's real name is Jean-Paul Beaubier.

That's right, it's our first Quebecois superhero for this list.

And the only one.

Northstar is among the more mainstream Canadian superheroes, having been on a number of well-known

teams including Alpha Flight, the Secret Defenders, and the X-Men.

His mutation gives him superhuman strength and speed, lets him fly, and gives him the

ability to emit very bright lights and concussive blasts.

He even has a subplot where he works with the Front de libération du Québec, but later

stops them from committing terrorist acts.

Yeah bud.

Number 4: Captain Newfoundland.

I'm gonna level with ya, Captain Newfoundland, originally Captain Atlantis, isn't actually

Canadian since he's an alien, but he's so damn cool I don't even care.

We're inclusive like that.

His race originally came to Earth thousands of years ago, and taught early man important

things, having a hand in the Egyptian pyramids, and teaching mystics in India how to become

one with the universe.

He has a bunch of crazy powers, most important being the ability to travel through time and

space at will.

He trained people around the world to defend the Earth, including Captain Canada (yes,

a third Captain America copy), He continues to live in the last remaining tip of Atlantis...

Newfoundland.

Hence the name change.

So on top of all that cosmic power, he can also talk at superhuman speeds...

Just a little Newfie joke.

They talk quickly.

Number 3: Deadpool.

Yep, if you've been with this channel for a while, you'll be well aware of my love for

Deadpool.

Some might call it lust.

They would be correct.

I even dressed in a terrible Deadpool costume for Halloween.

If you want to see that, check out our Top 10 Alternate Versions of Carnage video.

But yeah, despite his rudeness and general disrespect towards literally everyone, Wade

Wilson is a good ol' Canuck.

And interestingly, he has a rather strained relationship with another well-known Canadian...

Number 2: Wolverine.

If you were to ask 100 people on the street to name a Canadian superhero, most of them

would probably say Wolverine.

And they'd be right, because as you probably know, Logan is from this great land as well.

Kinda funny that the two best-known mainstream Canadians are two of the biggest jerks in

comics.

They don't say sorry NEARLY enough.

Gotta say though, it's pretty great to have such a rugged, stoic, and overall awesome

hero representing this great nation.

Too bad he's a Calgary fan.

Number 1: Nelvana of the Northern Light.

Introduced way back in 1941, Nelvana was the first distinctly Canadian superhero.

Her comic was fittingly inspired by tales of Group of Seven artist Franz Johnston.

Based on Inuit mythology, she's the daughter of Koliak, King of the Northern Lights.

With her colourful outfit that doesn't look NEARLY warm enough for northern Canada, she

can read minds, turn invisible, change her form, and fly as quickly as the Northern Lights.

And she uses those powers... to fight Nazis.

Of course.

She was actually such a big part of Canadian history that she was put on a stamp in 1995.

Atta girl.

That's it for today!

International Students (Vietnamese) - Duration: 2:16.

Madrid, Spain.

*students laugh*

It's a beautiful campus.

I love the school and everybody's really nice here.

I was so shy back in Vietnam and now I

got used to talking to new people

and I love meeting new people.

The campus is not too big and you

can get around really easily.

And the building is very top notch.

Strategic location which is close to major cities

in the United States, such as: New York City, Philadelphia,

even Washington D.C. Going to a small school

actually gives you more hands on help

for international students.

I didn't feel like a huge cultural shock.

I was able to settle in pretty quick.

What I really like about the classrooms,

is that everybody has something to say and it's more

of a discussion in the classroom.

They are there to help you and if you work at it

they will be there to push you more.

If you don't reach out to them, they will reach out to you.

The faculty make sure you grow like as an overall person.

So they try to impart skills on you

like leadership, the soft skills.

Scranton actually cares for each student.

The best thing here is getting to know people

and getting involved.

So you can enroll in the club in which youre interested.

Maybe photography, swimming, anything.

I started swimming when I was in highschool

and I absolutely loved the sport.

I love dancing and back in Vietnam I would not have a lot

of opportunities to dance and here I join in dance club

named, "Urban Beats".

It's not like a group of people gathering and dancing it's more

about family.

We have cultural exchanges every week where we all meet and I've

made pretty good friends.

International is going to be a big trend in the future,

so I believe getting a multicultural education will

be really important for the future.

I love Scranton a lot and all of the opportunities they give me.

Kobe Bryant Is NOT Top 3 All Time. [JNBA] - Duration: 5:28.

you know congrats to Kobe on winning an Oscar dear basketball was an amazing

film but with that being said I'm sick of seeing things like this and this and

this and this and while yes he's great Kobe is not a top 3 player of all

time now before I start the video I want to say I am NOT a Kobe hater at all Kobe

is an all-time great player he's amazing one of the best scores of all time but

the narrative that the goal conversation should involve him at all is false

what's going on YouTube Jane being here back with another discussion video and I

know I've been going for a while but I haven't really been motivated lately to

upload on either of my channels and I'm trying to make this a really really good

video and I'm trying to really step up my content for you guys so if you could

drop a like on this video comment video idea subscribe or maybe just share the

video with a couple friends that would help out a lot especially considering

video might be disliked bomb by Kobe fans but anyways my top 15 list goes to

the following LeBron James or Michael Jordan and I'm not saying the order

because I've already triggers enough people criminal dole Jabbar Wilt

Chamberlain Bill Russell Magic Johnson Larry Bird Tim Duncan Hakeem Olajuwon

Shaquille O'Neal Julius Irving Oscar Robinson Kobe Bryant

David Robinson and the logo Jerry West I feel like my list is pretty respectable

and even if you remove the debatable players that you might not feel are

better than Kobe like Shaq and dr. J Kobe is still nowhere close to the top 5

I feel like my top eight goes without argument unless you don't know any of

these older players or you simply LeBron James hater by the way if you like to

reference any of the stats I mentioned in this video it will all be in the

description because I'm lanius talking about accolades in this video because

talking about stats makes the videos really really long and I don't think

they're really that entertaining to listen to but I'll have anything you

need to make your own choice in the description below

now I'll start with the chemo Olajuwon Olajuwon was the second most dominant

player of the late 80s to 90s easily after Michael Jordan of course along

with MJ he's one of the only two players to win MVP and Defensive Player of the

Year in the same year both him and Kobe have two Finals MVPs and if it weren't

for the Bulls dynasty the dream could have easily had more rings

there's even an argument that hedge Hakeem faced Jordan's Bulls the year and

Ray lost the magic he could have eaten them

not only that paquimé was a much better team player better defender and more

efficient from the field the next player is dr. J and when discussing Julius

Erving it's an understatement to say dr. J is one of the most accomplished

players in the history of the NBA after joining the ABS Virginia Squires in

1971-72 season Irving averaged an astounding twenty

seven point three points and point seven rebounds per game as a

rookie finishing second in the league either year voting the next year dr. Jay

averaged a career-high 31 point nine points per game in his final season with

the Squires after being traded to the New York Mets because the Squires ran

out of money Irving won three back-to-back MVPs the

doctor also led the Nets to 288 championships in those three years Jay

ended up winning another MVP on the 76ers when the ABA and NBA merged and

when they want a championship he also won another MVP for MVPs and four

championships is better than five and one in my opinion finally the one you

have all been waiting for Shaquille O'Neal prime Shaq was far

better than any version of Cobie even out of his prime Shaq was better for

most of his career than Kobe was for most of his Kobe it may have been better

at volume shooting in some years but when you factor in rebounding efficiency

and anchoring a defense the edge goes to shaft one thing about intangibles

something that was always a knock on Shaq fears

it was always Shaq refused to step down so Kobe was right but just look at their

twilight years Shaq went to Miami and did just that the very next year a Miami

with D Wade fast forward to Kobe's last few years he was constantly being

ridiculed by his teammates as still being selfish but that's the video guys

tell me your top ten in the comments section below

but remember Kobe shouldn't be in the top three anyway leave a like on the

video and if you enjoyed and subscribe make sure you turn on notifications so

you never miss in the video and yeah guys Jim be al peace

yes - I know you when our friends coming

I've already started a sloppy when I run up on me

Lil Yachty "Lil Boat 2" Album Review - IS IT GOOD? - Duration: 7:37.

So Lil Yachty has just released the sequel to his Lil Boat mixtape, but is it good?

That's the question we're gonna be answering today.

I actually kinda enjoyed the first Lil Boat mixtape and got a fair amount of enjoyment

out of it.

You know it was quite entertaining, it was quite fun.

So does this one hold up or even excel past the first one?

This is CDTVProductions and let's talk about, lets talk about this album.

(Intro: Clip - Lil Yachty "Das Cap")

Seeing as this is the sequel, I might as well start of by telling you guys why I actually

kinda enjoyed the first Lil Boat mixtape.

I appreciated that Yachty somewhat brought a bit of a unique sound on there, he had this

goofy charm and he was making some music over these fun, playful instrumentals.

Like no matter what you think of him, he did have a distinctive sound and was different

to a degree.

That's what made his music stand out to me.

I especially enjoyed his autotuned singing tracks, of which there were quite a few on

Lil Boat.

Basically, the type of Yachty I usually like is the "f*** them kids bro" Yachty.

And... there's barely any of that on here.

The only tracks that really reminded me of his Lil Boat 1 style was She Ready, which

is a good track, and maybe also Love Me Forever which is super average.

And 80% of the remaining tracks are insanely uninteresting, it genuinely surprised me.

What is Yachty doing here?

On this tape, in my opinion, he loses absolutely everything that made him an interesting character

in the first place.

He's substituted the goofy singing which was quite quirky and fun, with this low key

style of rapping that it sounds like anyone else could pull off better.

What makes it even worse, what makes it stand out even more, is that across this whole tape,

or on a lot of these tracks at least, he just sounds so timid.

You can't rap about flexing on people and trying to sound hard when you're rapping

in this tone that makes it sound like you're scared your parents will find out you're

cursing in your rap songs.

(Clip: Lil Yachty "Mickey").

Yachty does rap with confidence occasionally, such as on the track Pop Out, but that's

just one of many tracks here where he doesn't rap with any confidence at all.

It sounds kinda like 21 Savage if his voice hadn't broken yet and he was nervous to

be rapping.

Not to mention, he still has a few songs where his flow doesn't even sound that great,

which is an issue I have a lot when Yachty raps.

On songs like Talk To Me Nice and the pre-hook Of Oops, his flow sounds so damn clumsy, it's

actually sort of cringey to listen to.

(Clip: Lil Yachty "Oops (featuring 2 Chainz & K$upreme)").

Sometimes it feels like Yachty thinks not pausing for a breath makes for a good flow,

and it can, but you really have to think about if it actually sits on the beat nicely.

On those songs I mentioned, it doesn't.

I will say that his flow has improved if you take it as a whole, like he flows good on

songs such as Count Me In an NBAYoungBoat, but it's not like he flows well enough to

save the project.

And whilst the beats are just fine in terms of how they're produced, except for maybe

Count Me In which sounds like the instrumental for Magnolia had a less mentally capable cousin,

these beats are so clearly not Yachty's style, and I wish he would stop rapping over

these beats that sound like they're more suited to the Migos.

See when Yachty rapped in the past, or even on the first Lil Boat mixtape, he would use

these instrumentals that were still bright and vibrant, they would still have this kind

of summer-ey, nice, upbeat feel to it, but on this tape he opts for this mixture of menacing

or gloomy beats and it really takes away what made his music so unique, what gave him his

own personality.

His voice is not made for dark bangers, it's just not.

Sure, he still has some funny lines, some lines that make me laugh, but the tone is

so off.

There's no fun to be had when its over these dark beats.

The intro and Outro tracks do have a lighter tone to them, but they also aren't that

great either.

It's kinda hard to talk about what I like on this album because fundamentally I don't

like what is on here.

It sounds so fake and forced.

Basically, if you like what Lil Yachty did on the Quality Control compilation tape, you'll

like this.

I didn't like what he did on there so if you also didn't like what he did on there, I'll

save you 45 minutes and tell you what you should listen to from this project.

The 2 Chainz Verse From Oops, Tee Grizzley's gritty verse on Get Money Bros, She Ready,

NBAYoungBoat which is a fun enough track, even though I felt like NBA YoungBoy sounded

a lot like a more energetic version of Quavo on it, and surprisingly Lil Pump's energetic

verse on Baby Daddy was notable enough to stand out.

That's it.

And notice i said you should check out most of those tracks for the features.

Not Yachty himself.

This is not good.

If it sounds like I'm struggling to speak about the positives of this mixtape, it's

because I genuinely don't see many.

Maybe you like Yachty doing this style, I personally can't stand it.

There's barely any redeeming qualities to it, and I think I enjoyed Teenage Emotions

more than this.

At least Yachty sounded like himself on Teenage Emotions.

I've got to give Lil Boat 2 by Lil Yachty a 2.3/10.

This might be the worst album I've heard so far this year.

I didn't think Yachty could go lower than Teenage Emotions, but he managed it with this

for me.

So what did you guys think?

Top Tax Deferral Strategies - Duration: 2:52.

Today we're going to talk about tax deferral strategies.

And so this is a way that you can actually defer your taxes until a later date.

It's not quite as good as a tax deduction, but it is still powerful in terms of saving taxes.

First thing I want to get into is retirement plans, and I think a lot of you know retirement

plans: you put money into a retirement plan, you then, actually, don't have to pay tax

on those dollars until you pull the money out.

It could be a 401(k), could be a SIMPLE IRA, could be a defined benefit plan,

any number of things.

Second way is for you business owners, deferring income, accelerating expenses.

This is a common one, you probably already heard it,

but I'm still going to repeat it for you newbies.

So when you get to year end, if you're having a good year, you might want to kind of defer

your billings, maybe some into next year.

So you get receipts in the next year, because they'll count for next year's income, and

you might want to prepay some of your January expenses actually in December to get a tax

deduction - that's if you're a cash basis business owner.

Low turnover Investments is another one, and if you have a mutual fund or an index fund,

take a look at the turnover percentage, because that will tell you how often the investments

inside the fund are bought and sold.

What you're looking for is one with a small percentage, like 10%, something like that.

Which means they're only buying and selling 10% of the stocks or bonds each and every year.

So there's not a lot of gain on sale.

On the other hand, if you see a fund that has a 100% turnover, you're going to be paying

a lot of tax on that, even if you don't need the money.

Number four is a cost segregation study for real estate owners.

This is a way to take your depreciation and move it up into earlier years to get

more deduction up front.

Remember, we're talking tax deferral, so we're actually not creating extra deductions, we're

just taking deductions earlier with all of these strategies, and then that way you don't

have to pay as much tax right now.

Number five is 1031 exchanges.

Also real estate investors.

This has to do with you have a property, you want to sell it, it's a rental property.

You want to buy another rental property, so you can do a 1031 exchange and not pay any

taxes, currently on that.

And then finally, more complicated, is a charitable remainder trust.

This is a great technique, also for real estate owners or somebody that has highly appreciated stock.

You put the stock into the charitable trust, the charitable trust sells it.

Since it's tax exempt, it pays no tax and you get a lifetime earning stream, as long

as either you or your spouse is alive, of income and principal.

It can be a great way to go, even if you're not that charitable.

But if you are charitable, this can be even better.
