hi, I brought a Q&a video for you guys today

because you wrote many questions for me

I'll be answering these

and I'll make a short introduction

there is a video called "Én ST22 Lacika" video on my channel though

I uploaded that one back then when I had like 10k subscribers

the video's quality matched the quality of youtube videos back then

but after this video, I don't think many of you'd watch it

and there are a lot of questions

so let's tart this Q&A

and an introduction

the video's content can be found in the description as always

in the background you see some road footage

I crossed the Black Forest

Willingen, Schweiningen

and Offenburg, between these are this route

between freeways A81 and A5

so.. Black Forest

the reason why I put my camera on the windshield, because there is a 4m bridge

and if I'd put it on the roof, it would be higher by this much, and the bridge would've hit it

so who am I?

who is this ST22 Lacika?

let's say I am just a kid from the farm from Nyíregyháza, or from Szabolcs rather

not more nor less

I was born in October 4. 1979

so I am 39 years old

and I will stay in Nyíregyháza forever

I think Nyíregyháza is one of the best places in the world

I really love the people in Szabolcs

it feels good to go home

I can call myself happy and lucky, because

I have people to go home to

I have a lot of friends

I love that city

I grew up in a really loving family

in a family

where jealousy wasn't present

and we didn't fight at all, which is rare

I don't have a single loud word with my wife either

not even an F word leaves our mouth because

as my grandparents once told me "don't fight with your loved ones, dear, they are your family"

if you can count on someone in your life, they are

I am happy that I saw this thing in life

and I have a converging family

long story short, I went to school to 3 different places

I went to 3 different primary schools

basically... because... once because of football

my father always put me in a school where he thought football could be a thing

and also because I was a stubborn, uncontrollable kid

I think I am the same still, because if I plan to do something, I wil

whether its good or not

and..

therefore I had those controversies

so.. I went to 3 primary schools

when I was in 8th grade

I finished the last year in a sport school

and then I started smoking, from that day for 18 years I smoked

I smoked like 1-1,5 packs of cigarette a day

you asked, how I quit smoking

I switched to e-cigs

that helped me

but there are these vapes today so

it took me 10 days to quit

so I tried real hard and after 2 years of trying, e-cigs helped me

so I managed to quit in 10 days, it was around 2012

so 6 years now

I don't smoke

this makes me lucky aswell

I tried to smoke a cigarette, I felt like I was choking

because it causes so much damage to my lungs

so..

so I don't have the feeling of smoking anymore

then I went to Bánki Donát high school(

but I didn't finish my last year in that school, because

I was kind of put in the focus of the football

so I got into Demecseri Kinizsi's team

after this I got lower

after 6 months I got cut from this team

I often came late to the training, I wasn't serious enough, like I am nowadays

after that I played in Nyírbogát and Kótaj

then I quit at the age of 21 or 22

I quit football entirely

I had so much energy that my parents tried to hold it down

I was so active

when I had 2 football trainings a day I even took karate lessons

I took kyokushinkai lessons

I did that for 2-3 years, but I didn't get any belts or anything

this was just to hold down my energy

then I played tennis, I played handball

I swam

so I did whatever that was considered sport, because my father is a sporty guy

so they tried to push me this way so I get my energy wasted

but they couldn't get me tired

when you guys ask me how I have all this energy, well.. it all started when I was a child

how did I become a trucker?

so I couldn't really find my place, I used to be a contractor

I had to stop contracting because of poker

even though my enterprise was doing well

I was self-employed I was operating coffee vending machines

it was a good business and I had my contacts for that

so I quit that and

my parents told me to try this truckdriving thing

"you like to hang out"

I was on the road 24/7, I had a tuning car

I have this optical tuned Opel Astra F

I really really loved that car

and..

my parents were like "you like to drive, you like to hang out"

"you can do it"

"go and be a truckdriver"

"there is this opportunity, try it"

and this basically helped me fulfill myself

before I was a truckdriver I had no idea about trucks

like, who is a truckdriver, what is he doing, why is he in front of me?

it just made me mad if he was in front of me

so this is what I saw in truckdriving

I didn't know anything or anyone

I knew of 2 companies, Hungarokamion and Révész, that's all nothing more

so that's all about me

to speak more of the truckdriving, I have been a trucker for 15 years

I started in Hungary

I was transporting wheat

so I started from rock bottom with these old trailers

why I did it then? because I had no experience and I just did it

I didn't know there was higher

so if we didn't like something, we cursed a lot

and then we moved on

then I worked in Austria, Nederlands, Spain

Germany

and at a German company I worked inside UK

so basically I picked up the trailer and went straight to the UK

so I think I visited everything

the country I have not been to is Scotland

Ireland, and Finland

oh and of course I haven't been to Moscow(pun related to the older video)

but I am very happy that I visited Sicily

and Portugal, these are beautiful memories

let's continue with the tech gear

so what do I work with, because I get a lot of question about what do I use

what I use to record is a Sony FDR-X3000

and the camera that I attach on the mirror nowadays is a Sony FDR-X1000

bot cameras record in 4K

but the X3000 is way better

what I recommend if you want to buy tech gear like these

is to buy them in Austria

I have an old Sony AS200

way back then I had a Panasonic..

some head cam

and now I also have a GoPro7

I have RODE mics aswell

I have a mic that can be clamped and a shotgun mic

and I will use the one that has a better sound

I have a Zoom H6 recorder

I have 2 RODE filmmaker kits

I have a DJI Mavic Pro drone

this is the first serie

and it is damaged unfortunately, its gimbal is broken

so I took it to the service

in front of me there is a small softbox, its name is on the screen

I have a Lenovo Y50-70 laptop

which will be replaced by a T580

softwares.. what do I use to edit?

first, Sony Vegas Pro 13.0

then the..

and I use After Effects to put in texts and stuff, when for example I fly with the drone

these stuffs take some time

so I use this software

sometimes I use photoshop to enhance the colors of the pictures

but

but basically I enhance the colors of my footages in sony vegas

I add some

I put some "life" into the footage

these question are from the ST22 facebook page and from the comment section of YouTube

the first question would be

"isn't your wife mad at you, because you're trucking instead of being with her?"

so I got to knew her this way

I men when I was trucking already

I know her from social media

and I asked her out for a date

and that's how we fell in love

she only told me to not to be a trucker forever, so

so back then I was trucking like a madman

when I was with her I went abroad for 2 months, but that was too much for her

and then a time came and she asked me to come home more times

and..

and then we founded my enterprise, this was also a reason

I almost signed a contract in Switzerland

for a 2 week abroad 2 week home job

I am not going to tell the name of the company, I never will

so I recieved an insane offer

but I turned it down ultimately

I said I will continue as a subcontractor

so I was ready for compromises

I think it works out because we can always talk about it and fix it

the next question is from Feri

"are you happy? I mean when you decided to go and be a contractor, did you imagine this picture in your head where you are at right now?"

I am very happy, why wouldn't I be happy?

I consider myself lucky, because I have a loving family and I don't have problems behind my back

so I don't get tired of the things that are going on at home

so I don't go home like: "man, I am going to hit someone when I go home"

we are living a balanced family life

I am not a jealous person, I don't get tired of these kind of things

I don't waste my time on stupid things

so I live for the trucking and I love it

maybe I feel unhappy, because sometimes I am overkilling the YouTube

because lot of you guys asked me "how do you have time for this?"

because I am sitting in an industrial park, the weather is beautiful and I could go to work out

but I have to edit a video, because there wasn't a video for 2 weeks now

just to give you some insight

and then I start to feel like, "where do I have to draw a line?"

so this is kind of makes me unhappy

that I am overdoing it

maybe..

I should make some changes so I can work out again, because it's been a while since I worked out

"if you could send a message to your past self that was doing his first transports, what would it be?"

well, I don't want to hear someone else's beef

so I'd tell him not to enter that parking lot

"if a little Lacika will be born, how do you imagine yourself, will you keep working?"

my company won't have any other employees, but me, I can say that for sure

I know someone who'd jump in for me if needed

or I'd hire him, and trust me, I'd pay him properly

if I had a child

we are planning it of course

what would change if I had a child?

I think, right now, nothing would change

later on I might try myself out on different grounds, maybe on social media

that I am growing

and after some time I might go home

I'd still be on the road, but I'd have a diary

where I'd write how much I want to work

or I might quit entirely

and sign that Swiss job

because that would've been awesome

I have

I had a presentation in the Bánki Donát high school in Nyíregyháza

I went to that school

roughly 60-70 kids were present, age was around 18 years

for me their answers to my questions were stunning

one of my questions, for example:

I was curious how much time do kids spend nowadays on sport, because what I see abroad is..

dutch people are insane, whether it's raining, or storm, or snowfall, they are riding their bikes 24/7

to go to work or

to go to school

"how many of you guys take the bike to ride to school?"

there was only 1 guy who took the bike

and you could spare the money that you'd spend on bus

let's admit that Nyíregyháza..

is like 8km long

it is roughly 20 minutes bike to work, to home

it is a nice sport

they'd rather take the bus, I don't agree with this

my other main question was

"how well do kids speak foreign languages?"

because I think we are living in a modern world

I thought several kids, but

there was one guy only who said he is intereted in the languages and would like to learn them

or to go to work abroad

what I realized is, that the 18 years old kids, have no idea what they want to do with their lives

they don't have the slightest idea what they want

I think this is saddening in today's society

after this I didn't dare to ask what they'd want to do with their first payment

you might spend it in a party, then the second payment?

how much money will you invest?

do you have a life insurance?

do you have any savings?

do you have any savings abroad?

what would you want to do with your money?

I didn't dare to ask these question in that school

I think they need to have saved money

alright, the next question was asked by Martin, he asks about the nightshift

"what do you recommend ti a nightshifter?"

earlier I made a video about this, but I didn't release it

I suggest to try out the Turkish tea

this is a trucker legend that

you drink this tee and you are going out of this world, and if a turkish drank this tee, no one can shut him down

it can keep you awake

the point is, the coffee gives you a kick in the morning

and the tee is doing it slowly and won't hurt your heart

so you have to keep the filter in the water for 20 minutes until it's black

it doesn't have to be turkish to be honest

I drink Sri Lanka tee

you can put sugar in it, they don't use lemon juice

after this you can filter the tea or just let it sink to the bottom

I recommend to filter the entire tee, or it'll be too wild

and in every 30 minutes you can drink like 50cl of it

just constatly sip on it, that's it

you don't have to drink it in an instant

but if you are tired, just go to sleep

here is a story, nowadays, one of my colleagues

have pushed a car off the road at night

it's interesting, because I talked to him beforehand

we were at the same place

and..

he told me "I have to drive at night and I can't stay awake"

but I think..

the point is to get there alive, not to get there by 8:00 am

do not ever forget this on the road

get there..

get there by 11:00 am, let them yell at you, let them fine you by 100 or 200 euros

just get there

I believe in this

if you cant manage to do so

I just go to sleep

but I still recommend the Turkish tee

you can do the usual thing, stop the truck, move your body a little bit

I turn on the inner light

there is no red light in my truck, but I can lower the strength of the light

this is important because, when the truck and cars are coming on the road, their light kind of hurts your eyes

but if you're in low light

I realized I can last longer

it's also important that I don't heat the truck all the way up

it's often cold in the truck, even in winter

because the warm tires you

I think that's it, quiet music

and I think you have to rest always

if you need to, go to sleep between 2 and 4 am

János asks: "are you planning to make a fleet and are you planning to quit?"

I won't have another truck

I can assure you about that

there won't be another ST22 truck

the reason for this is

I see what they offer these days

and it is, "don't expect less money for the performance I have"

so I think

I don't want to get into the details

because people would just ruinthemselves

although the truckdrivers are needed

and just because of a SCANIA, people won't come to work

just because "ST22 Lacika is the boss here" they won't come to work for me

so I just leave this as it is

"will you quit trucking?" that's 100%

this one thing is for sure

even though I love it

if I remind in the future I don't want to think just about a cabin of a truck

how much is left?

I think this trucking is on the top right now

it is very very good

you should do it now, it's worth it now

so I keep grinding for a while

I think for another 5 years

I give another 5 years for this, and that's it

but it might be less, depends on the other plans

whether it is the social media

and I can imagine myself going into the social media with full force

it might be even earlier than you think

because I recieve offers

there were people who didn't want me to go abroad with the SCANIA, but to do something with it

but this is the future's music

we might meet somewhere else in the future

I mentioned Australia, Canada, would I go there etc.

"do you have any news about these?"

well, it takes time to work these things out

for example, the Lagermax video took me 6 months

it took us 6 months to prepare for it

and then we managed to do it, but it's not that simple

I am not going to hide this anymore: I was talking about a Kazah, or Turkmenistanish transport

not a secret, I went to Hunland

we've been negotiating with Hunland for 9 months now

and it's not discontinued now

we always ended up like, there was a senior manager

who said "we know you Lacika, this is so good, this is very good, it's going to be very good"

but I have to ask another person

so we kept going, and I was talking to a senior employee of the company

and it just didn't work out, and that's it

so this is discontinued now, but I have good contacts at Hunland

we'd want to go together, he said "you can come anytime!"

the other videos, Canada or Australia

so first you got to have a budget for it

so therefore I have the Patreon or my webshop

so if I gather the amount of money I need

I think it's not important to get into this question, because it's like women

one likes fat, one likes skinny, one likes muscular women

it's not like just DAF or SCANIA

I just take the driver's perspective, I am not into the tech part of it

I was always like this, I never hid it, I never cared about what developement the engine went through

as a driver I care about the comfort, because it is my "home"

I decide between truck considering the driving, comfort and the packing of my stuff

I think SCANIA has really raised the level, it is very good now

it's so lit

DAF is very good aswell

MAN aswell

Volvo aswell, every truck has its pros and cons

there are always a higher level truck

look, I am not advertising

this SCANIA for me is insane

this is top notch for me really

even the outer and the inner designs

what I don't really like?

just to give you my opinion, I don't like Iveco and Renault

that's the truth

as I always say my favourite truck brands are

SCANIA

DAF

MAN

and Volvo, I somehow don't really like Mercedes

but I am curious about the new Mercedes

maybe it changes my mind

you know I will test it

to see what it offers

I never sat in the Mercedeses with the bigger cabin, I always sat in the smallest ones

it has the same height, but when you step in its..

between me and you: there's no f**king space

every material was cold inside

Volvo was a pleasent illusion

I think it was designed properly

I didn't sit in the new MANs in the older ones I did

I'd say, currently, nope

and people got butthurt and like "how can you say that? you are do it for the living aswell"

no, I am not doing it for the living

we are live from the money, that's important

this is not trucking for the living, because..

we are working for money of course, not for free

the problem is, that I'd hold myself onto something

you can get hired, the thing is you have to speak the language

speak German, English is not viable here

this was my choice

it's like forcing me to date a fat woman, if I don't want to, don't force me

same thing about work

there are compromises, there is not a perfect company for anyone

so at TRANSKONA, going home is a real problem

because home is far and I have only 25 days of break

what does the smart kid from Szabolcs do?

founds his own company

after this I am 100% happy and ready to go

I think everything is 100% for me, everything

this for me is the best possible

but does this fit you? why would it fit you?

do you like to transport groupages? no? then transkona is not for you

once I was getting recognition

you are happy to see him/her in real life and you want memory, even if it's a photo or an autogram

even if it was in Debrecen, or Siófok, and in Szeged there were a lot of you

also in Budapest

in average, atleast 2 people are coming to say hi daily

and I am happy to meet you all

"how frustrating it is?" well, this..

being a "star" doesn't mean a thing to me

if I cared about it I would swim in the subscribers

I was going home with a transport

and I stopped by a parking lot around Linz

the WC was so far away, what would everyone do? pee next to the fence

this is considered normal

so you pee

when I stepped out of the truck I was like "damn there are so many people"

I was like man I am going to pee myself

I had my t-shirt on with all the st22 texts and stuff

I looked outside, there was a hungarian, and the other way aswell

and I had this stupid feeling that someone would take a photo of me and upload it on facebook

"look he peed next to the fence"

I just got back in the truck and peed at the next station instead

this is kind of a con of being recognized

maybe I just care too much

because

it should be a normal thing

but I don't like this part

you can get recognized anywhere

"will you make a meeting?"

well, this meeting..

I don't regret turning some of them down, because

me and my dad have visited 4 places

it is so tiring

I asked

"Patrik, how are you doing this?"

because you had meetings and I thought I'd ask a fellow youtuber

about the experience

he said he wasn't the one who organized it

I was like "ooooh"

I thank for everyone who helped

you have to find a place for it

they didn't dare to ask

I think this is a unique community

and a loving community

and I am happy to be part of it

this was really good

think about it, we spent 3 hours before lunch

then we hurried to get to the other place

and it all started again, everything was the same

the one in Nyíregyháza

I am not keeping a secret

the people of Nyíregyháza

are the people who get there at the very last second

I told my friends "come by if you'd like to"

we had monitors everywhere, we had a star guest invited

then chairs everywhere

we had 150 chairs

and..

10 minutes before the start, 3 of us were standing there

I was like "we are burning all the way down"

I was like, I can't believe it, this is happening

does it have to be Nyíregyháza when no one comes?

What is going on modular instruments and the future of samplers in this video

we're going to open up the dialogue about modular instruments and samplers

and what we could see in the future from these two instrument formats but first

I'd like to invite you to like share and subscribe to our sample channel and with

that let's get to it okay here's the question is there a fear of modular

instruments and is this the reason why a general community of musicians who

sample have avoided modular or that's something that seems to be too expensive

to undertake at this point in time what we're seeing as far as advancements in

samplers in modular it's clear to say at the future of sampling for our present

time is in modular instruments I mean we're seeing some insane developments as

far as sampling control and possibilities in the world of modular

especially when compared to what we currently have on the market and I will

say as far as hardware samplers go we're seeing efforts to integrate modular into

our traditional hardware environment and of course the most popular example is

the MPC X and that is something I did not see coming and at the same time I

was not surprised it just seemed to make perfect sense and yet it seems as if

there's very little interest in modular on a whole and this isn't to say modular

instruments aren't selling or doing well they are it just doesn't seem like it's

completely embraced in proportion to the developments and new possibilities that

we're getting with these instruments particularly with samplers now one our

samplers podcasts we spoke about my three top samplers of 2018 and of course

out of the three two of them were modular instruments and that is

something that would not even exist not even two years ago but now we have

instruments in the modular format that are just different they offer an entire

different way of working to what we know like immediately when you start using

modular equipment it will just feel different so artistically this is a huge

advantage so back to the question are we shying away from embracing modular let

NCT 127 Mark Canadian accent VS Johnny American accent - Duration: 4:53.

A lot of my subscribers

requested a video about

NCT Mark and Johnny's English.

So I made it!

Mark is from Vancouver, Canada.

Johnny is from Chicago, America.

Let's listen to Johnny's English first.

Jinger English

Johnny used

'start off'.

It basically means 'start'.

Off means away from something.

So you start your step to begin something

and feet off your ground.

Native speakers use 'start off' a lot.

When Johnny talks

he tends to raise his tone at the end of sentences.

It's not a Chicago thing.

Maybe a personal preference.

I've met someone who talks like Johnny before.

But she was from Canada.

Now, let's listen to Mark's English.

When I heard Johnny

his English sounded casual and laid-back.

Marks sounds organized

and speaks like a news anchor.

Honestly

There isn't a significant difference

between Canadian and American accents.

People often call them

North American accent

including Canada and America.

But there are differences.

Canada spells in a British way.

Center in America.

Centre in Canada.

E and R are reversed.

In case of flavor,

flavor in America

flavour in Canada.

Alphabet Z,

Canadians say 'zed'.

O sounds different too.

The most common one is 'about.'

Canadians tend to have

a long O sound.

In case of sorry,

they say 'So-orry'.

Bathroom is 'washroom' in Canada.

Different expressions.

But unless you hear something like this,

it's hard to distinguish.

Let's listen to Mark and Johnny

I'm not sure how I read NCT 127.

NCT one twenty seven? One two seven?

One hundred twenty seven?

Anyway, NCT has members from

Korea, American, Canada, China

and Japan. International group!

At first, they communicated

with a dictionary,

Johnny said.

They all speak Korean well now.

We have a saying (kind of a joke too)

when you have to.

I think that is true.

When I was 23

my English was like

'I'm sorry' and 'How are you' level.

Anyway, I went to Australia,

lived there for a year.

I did my best to survive.

And my English improved a lot.

Your surroundings are important.

Other than being jealous of

Mark and Johnny's English.

Why don't you change your surroundings?

Study group, making foreign friends,

Online or phone English classes..

There are many ways

to learn English.

There is one common thing among what I mentioned.

You don't do it by yourself.

You do it with someone else.

English is a language.

If you want to speak well, you need to open your mouth.

Listening and reading won't

improve your speaking skills.

If you have no friend

talk to yourself in the mirror.

Even 10 minutes everyday, consistently.
