discipline and leadership, time management, and communication skills are really important
this is my first work experience, so it was unknown whether it was going to fail or not. it took a lot of time and effort to get to where we are now
our idea was to make one stop shop that collects food items from different home businesses
in which you can find many different types of dessert among other things) and pick them up immediately
the plan right now is to open iGRAB cafe in every emirate in the UAE
the more shops we open, the more we help those home businesses
the biggest challange for us was to get people with those businesses to trust us, we had to convince them to give us their products so we can sell it
it was really hard to open a new, unique business like this because you can't give those people any statistics on how it would be for them after they join
we started with the help of Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development, which we are very thankful for
after that when we decided to open up in sharjah we got help from Ruwad Establishment, we're really thankful for that as well
I payed my employees really well which really i think really made all the difference, they were happy and they wore their satisfaction on their face as they worked, they smiled at customers and greeted them well.
we started getting feedbacks from many customers saying that the employees were really pleasant to talk to, some said that the friendliness of the staff is what kept them coming back to the cafe!
so that's one thing I learnt, the way you treat your customers can really change your business's path, either to success or faliure
alhamdulillah, it was allah's will that we reach this success. as we said before, in this business we help those who have the innovative products but don't know how to market their products
by marketing and selling their products not only did we improve their income, but we also were a factor in making life more easy and happy for them
so, one factor that led for this success is the fact that each and every one of those individual entrepreneurs mentions that they sell their products in iGRAB cafe, which is basically promoting the cafe
what I personally think though, is that this could not have happened without our mothers' dawas and prayers
people know that we didn't start this business for money, they know that. we faced a problem and we wanted to solve it. again, i truly believe that it was our mom's prayers that got us here
