Youtube daily report Oct 5 2018

Hi, my crafty fam!

In this video, I'll be revisiting one of my old designs and recreating it using different

materials.

This New York Yankees design was way easier then the Green Bay Packers was and next week

I'll show you yet another way you could make these awesome sports bottles!

They can be made for any sport and you can customize them to fit whatever team, the sports

fan in your life, is always rooting for!

Welcome back to DIY No Need To Cry with Ivelisse

New York Yankees Wine Bottle DIY | Gift Ideas For Him

Let's get started

My father requested this bottle and he wanted to see if I could decoupage using spray paint

instead of the acrylic paint so that the finish would come out smoother, and so I tried.

I sprayed the bottle using a flat white paint with primer in it.

I gave it a few coats following the instructions on the can and let it fully dry before decoupaging.

While your bottle is drying you can start to prep your napkins.

Open the napkin and cut along the folds.

You'll end up with four pieces, I did this to several napkins because I'll be using

bit's and pieces to fill in the back of the shirt.

I cut the neck off purely out of preference.

I didn't think it would look right seeing as this was going on the front.

Separate the plies of paper.

Now it's time to decoupage.

I like to place the napkin on the bottle to see where I want it and hold it on one end

as you see here... flip it back and start placing a thin layer of mod podge onto the

bottle.

If you've never decoupaged before and are not familiar with this technique, I have a

video that goes into more detail.

I'll leave that link in the description box below or click the I at the top right-hand

corner of this video.

Using a crumpled up piece of plastic wrap, I gently smooth it out.

Then give it one last coat of glue and let that completely dry.

and there you have it my crafty fam, for those of you who have asked if you can decoupage

onto a spray painted bottle instead of using the acrylic paint… the answer is yes!

Now, remember that I only tried it with that one spray paint.

You'll have to test yours out first if you use a different kind.

Also the beauty of using the spray paint versus the acrylic, I can wipe off any of the excess

glue with a damp sponge and the paint does not come off!

This is definitely a game changer!

I'll be using the rest of the napkin to create the rest of the shirt around the bottle

as you see here.

You want to continue cutting pieces and decoupaging them on until you've completed the back

of the shirt.

Once that is completely dry, seal the whole bottle with your favorite sealer.

While the bottle was drying.

I painted the letters and numbers with matching blue paint.

Measure, cut and glue down some blue ribbon to outlined the shirt as you see here.

Before gluing down the letters I peeled off the sticky side off of all of them.

I did this for two reasons.

The first being that I wanted to be able to adjust them onto the bottle without having

to worry about them sticking onto it and I like to use stronger glue so I know for a

fact that they're not going to come off once I place them.

This is also preferred, you don't have to do this.

Let that completely dry.

Now you want to add some silver ribbon onto the neck.

Measure

Cut

and before gluing it down I forgot to mention... burn the edges of the ribbon to prevent it

from fraying.

Glue it onto the neck and let that dry

Then add the blue ribbon to the top and bottom as you see here.

I added the official baseball sticker from the napkin packaging to the center but again,

that's preference.

You can put whatever you want there or leave it as is.

Lastly, I took the top of a wine stopper off, drilled a hole into the ball and glued the

wine stopper into it.

Let that dry and you're done!

I have to say that this was way easier than the Green Bay Packers one I made and even

though there's no bling, I love how it came out!

It's so clean and classy looking.

The only thing that might be a little challenging is the decoupaging of all the separate pieces

for the back but if you take your time and don't rush, you'll be fine.

You know you can even paint the back all blue and leave the letters white and that would

work too or you could even use a piece of fabric and decoupage that onto the back to

complete the shirt.

As usual, I show you how I made mine but you use whatever materials work for you and customize

it to your liking.

These bottles are perfect for those families that love to get together and watch the games!

How awesome would this look as a centerpiece at a Super Bowl party or as a gift for that

die-hard sports fan in your life!

These would also make a great gift for the teen that's on a school team.

You could totally put a picture of them with there uniform on, on the front of the bottle

and their name and number on the back...

Oh my goodness I just thought of something else, if you got one of those huge wine bottles

and put the whole teams picture on it and instead of the numbers on the back you could

put the team mascot!

Whhhaaat, that would be so dope!

What about for all the males in your life that you never know what to get and let's

not forget what an awesome gift this would make for someone with a man cave!

There are so many different ways you can customize this to fit whatever team or theme you want.

As always, have fun be creative and make a mess!

Thanks for watching!

Minor Pentatonic Scale in Any Position & Key Using ONE Pattern - Duration: 9:11.

The Minor Pentatonic scale is by far one of the most versatile scales to know on the guitar.

With it you can sound great soloing in just about any style of music.

But, if you're like many guitar players

you likely struggle to use the Minor Pentatonic scale across your entire fretboard,

relegated to using the same box shape over and over again.

In this lesson,

I'm going to teach you how to play your trusty Minor Pentatonic scale

in any key

anywhere across your fretboard

using just one pattern as a guide.

This single pattern will be called...

...the Master Pattern.

(James) Yeah!

Here is the Master Pattern for the Minor Pentatonic scale.

(angelic choir)

To use the Master Pattern

you need to follow three simple steps.

Let's learn these steps by using the Master Pattern

to give us the original Minor Pentatonic scale

which you probably already know.

Step #1:

Anchor on a Root note.

The Root note is the note that the scale we are playing is named after.

In this case,

we will be playing the A Minor Pentatonic scale.

So, our Root note is A.

Notice that the Master Pattern includes several Root notes.

The Root note will anchor your scale

which is critical when playing in different positions across the fretboard.

If you don't keep track of the Root

you can end up getting lost.

To save a little time,

here are all of the A notes across the fretboard,

which we will use as our Root.

Step #2:

Place the Master Pattern on your fretboard.

In this step,

we place the Master Pattern on the fretboard,

but how we do so will depend on which string our root note is on?

To make this work,

you may need to cut the Master Pattern up into different chunks.

However, this first example lets us put the pattern

directly on the fretboard with no changes.

Step #3:

Shift the Notes.

This last step requires us to shift part of the Master Pattern up or down by a fret.

If your Root note was below string two,

shift the top two strings up by one fret.

If your Root note was above string three,

shift the bottom four strings down by one fret.

Since our Root note is on string six,

the top two strings will shift up by one fret.

And, there we go.

We now have Pattern #1 of the Minor Pentatonic scale

Let's now look at the next position up the fretboard.

We'll once again follow our three steps.

Step #1:

Anchor the Root.

This time, we will anchor using the Root on the 7th fret of the 4th string.

Step #2:

Place the Master Pattern on the fretboard.

Because we're starting on string four,

we'll need to break the Master Pattern into two chunks.

One for the higher notes,

and one for the lower notes.

Notice that we used different parts of the Master Pattern to make this work.

Step #3:

Shift the Notes.

Since our Root is on the 4th string,

the top two strings will shift up by one fret.

And, we now have Pattern #2 of the Minor Pentatonic scale.

For the remaining patterns,

I'm going to move a little bit more quickly.

Step #1:

Anchor the Root.

Step #2:

Place the Master Pattern on your fretboard.

Step #3:

Shift the Notes

Notice that for this pattern,

since we anchored the root on the 2nd string

we'll have to move the lower four strings down by one fret.

And, we now have Pattern #3.

On to the next pattern.

Step #1

Step #2

Step #3

Which strings will shift for this pattern?

I'll give you a few seconds to think about it.

It's the top two strings which will move up by one fret.

And, we now have Pattern #4 for the Minor Pentatonic scale.

Now on to our final pattern for the A Minor Pentatonic scale.

Step #1

Step #2

Step #3

Once again, which strings will need to be shifted?

And, as with the previous pattern,

it's the top two strings which will move up by one fret.

And, we finally have Pattern #5 of the Minor Pentatonic scale.

So, by using our Master Pattern and three steps,

we're able to play the Minor Pentatonic scale for A

anywhere across the fretboard.

But, what about for other keys?

Let's take a look at an example now using the C Minor Pentatonic scale.

Step #1

Anchor your Pattern.

Instead of going through all of the patterns one by one,

Let's just choose a random C note across the fretboard as our starting point.

Let's use the C note on the 5th fret of the 3rd string as our anchor.

Step #2:

Place the Master Pattern.

We're going to start with the higher notes

Then we place the lower notes

Step #3:

Shift the Notes.

Since we started on string three,

the top two strings will shift up by one fret.

And, that does it.

So, it looks like we have Pattern #5 of the Minor Pentatonic scale.

Notice that as long as we find a Root note to anchor our Master Pattern

and follow the steps

We end up with the correct notes for the Minor Pentatonic scale that we want.

Building up the scale using these three steps works,

but it can still take a little time to get everything organized

before you see what to play on the fretboard.

For our final example,

let's see how the Master Pattern can be applied in real time

while you are actually playing the scale/

This means that you'll be generating the scale pattern as you play it.

Let's also change keys and find the E Minor Pentatonic scale.

Step #1:

Anchor the Root.

Once again, we'll arbitrarily choose an E note on the fretboard as our starting point.

Let's use the E on the 7th fret of the 5th string.

Now because we're generating the scale in real time

Step #2 & #3 will be combined together as we play it on the scale.

So, we start with the notes on the 5th string

We then continue adding the notes string-by-string

Until we get to the 2nd string.

Once we get to string two,

we have to shift the notes up by a single fret.

Remember, we started with our Root on string five.

We finished the Pattern by adding the lower notes below our anchor.

And, now we have Pattern #4 from the E Minor Pentatonic scale.

Keep working with the Master Pattern for the Minor Pentatonic scale

in different places on the fretboard and in different keys.

I know that doing this in real time is tricky

and takes time to get used to,

but as long as you keep using it,

it will get easier and easier to map out as you play.

If you have any thoughts or questions,

please post them in the comments below.

That's all for now.

So, thanks for watching.

Understanding The Sound Of Silence - Duration: 7:38.

hey, welcome to 12tone!

I love this song.

I mean, obviously I love all the songs I've analyzed, but Sound of Silence is one of the

most hauntingly brilliant pieces of music I've ever heard.

I doubt I really need to introduce it here: according to BMI it was the 18th most performed

song of the entire 20th century, so you almost certainly know what it sounds like already,

but one thing that I didn't know until recently is that the version you're probably most familiar

is actually a remix: when Simon and Garfunkel first recorded the song for their folk album

Wednesday Morning, 3 A.M., it was entirely acoustic, but after the album flopped the

engineer, Tom Wilson, decided to try dubbing a more traditional rock band over it without

the singers' knowledge or approval.

honestly, I think the original is just as good, if not better, but that decision is

probably what really launched the song into the public conscience, so I'm not gonna complain.

enough about history, though, let's get into the music.

the song starts like this (bang) playing what's called an arpeggio, where the notes of a chord

are played one at a time instead of all at once.

if we smush them all together, though, we get this (bang) which is an D#sus2 chord.

this sets the stage for the song, telling us we're in the key of D#, but it's a bit

ambiguous: a sus2 chord is one where the 3rd has been replaced by a 2nd, which means we

don't know if it's supposed to be major or minor.

the tonality's ambiguous, at least to start, but then the melody comes in and clears things

up (bang) with the F# here placing us squarely in D# minor.

after that we move here (bang) which is C# major, followed by a return to D#sus2. interestingly,

the sus 2 in our D# chord actually stays still when we go to C# major, becoming the 3rd of

that chord. this common tone makes the chords feel closer than they actually are: If we

did the same thing but used D# minor (bang) you hear the whole thing stepping down and

back up, but here it feels smoother because of the shared E#. in the return to the D#

chord we do actually hear a couple F#s, establishing a more traditional minor sound, but given

how strongly it features the E#, I think it still feels more like a sus2 chord anyway.

harmonically, this movement from bVII to I minor is what jazz theorists call a backdoor

resolution: it's not as strong as the traditional V-I motion, but it sticks to the notes of

the minor scale, and it provides a decent sense of rest.

the bVII is an interesting chord in a lot of ways: it's a bit like a harmonic swiss

army knife.

it's kinda directional, but also not, so it can be used to introduce tension or resolve

it.

in technical theory speak, it can be dominant or subdominant, depending on your needs, and

here, it's doing a bit of both.

it's got a sort of duality to it, kind of like the tonality in the beginning, which

I think is gonna be a running theme through this whole song.

anyway, from there we move on to this section (bang) where we start on B major, then quickly

fall down to F# major.

now, I think most people's instinct would be to analyze this as the bVI chord going

to the bIII, and that's not wrong, but I think there's a better way to explain what's happening.

I know I get yelled at in the comments every time I do this, but I'm pretty sure we've

changed keys here.

sort of.

basically I think what's happening is something called a relative modulation, which is where

we keep all the same notes, but change keys anyway.

you see, for every minor scale, there's a major scale, called its relative major, which

has exactly the same notes but treats a different one as the root. for D# minor (bang) that

scale is F# major.

(bang) the only difference is how the notes are used, so the transition between them is

really subtle, and it's often not clear whether it's happened at all, but here I think it

probably has.

I'll explain why in a second, but first I want to address the harmony: if I'm right

and we're in F# now, then we've got the IV chord resolving to the I chord. this is called

a plagal cadence or subdominant resolution, and much like the bVII to Imi thing from earlier,

it's the result of a subdominant chord filling in for a more standard dominant sound, weakening

the sense of completion and rest you'd expect from, say, V to I. in fact, in a lot of ways

the plagal cadence is basically the major version of that backdoor resolution, which

is part of why I like analyzing this with a relative modulation.

it shows how the two parts are almost like reflections of each other, starting off dark

and sad, quietly transitioning to a brighter, more hopeful version of the same sound, and

then falling back into that darkness.

remember how I said duality would be a big theme here?

anyway from there we hit this bit (bang) which is just a B chord.

it goes back and forth between B major and Bsus4, which helps give this a bit of motion

even though the chord's not really changing, then we go here (bang) which is F# major again,

which means this section's pretty much the same plagal cadence from the last part, just

stretched out a bit.

whereas earlier we were just briefly visiting the IV, here we have to contend with it in

full, making this section feel like the dramatic climax, a feeling that's accentuated by the

melody going to its highest notes.

after that we hear this (bang) where we briefly hit D#mi, signalling a transition back to

that key, then C# major, then a backdoor resolution up to D#sus2 before ending on a big D# minor

chord. after this the song loops, with new instruments coming in, but the harmony and

melody both pretty much repeat for the rest of the song.

there's some embellishments here and there, and I think they drop some of the sus chords,

but basically it's the same thing.

there's a couple other things I want to address, though: first, the rhythm.

like I said, the structure of this song repeats, and the repeating section is 64 beats long.

for those of you who don't like to do rhythmic math in your head, that's 4 4-bar phrases

with 4 beats per bar. or at least it should be, but if you've ever actually tried to play

this song, you know it's not that simple.

the first two phrases are normal, but the third one jumps the gun and starts 2 beats

early, cutting off half of the bar in front of it, it then makes up that time by being

extra long, requiring the addition of another half a bar at the end.

this serves to further emphasize that third phrase, which is, again, the climax, and it

also throws off the listener's internal rhythm, making the whole thing feel less like 4 separate

phrases and more like one long, cohesive line.

speaking of which, the last thing I want to address is the vocal harmonies, because they're

fantastic.

first of all, despite being based on the same recording, they're incredibly different between

the original and the remix. in the album version, the two voices are panned to the left and

right, so they sound like two simultaneous leads and you can really hear what Paul Simon

is doing, whereas in the remix they're blended together, leaving Garfunkel's voice as the

main melody with Simon's part supporting in the background.

both versions sound great, it's just interesting to me how different the same recording can

be depending on what the engineer does with it.

more important, though, is the way those melodies interact. as I mentioned, you're probably

most familiar with Garfunkel's line, which mostly arpeggiates chords and features large

leaps and a broad range, but Simon's part does none of that.

for most of the song, Simon is just singing the root of whatever the current chord is,

which combines with Garfunkel's part to create what's called oblique motion, where one voice

moves and the other sits still.

check it out: (bang) it's a haunting effect, again evoking that sense of duality: the melody's

running all over the place, but at the same time it's barely moving at all.

the two voices are telling two different stories with the exact same words, and I just…

I love it.

so much.

it's such a cool effect, and it's employed so well here.

I mean, what can I say? as soon as he wrote it, Paul Simon apparently described this as

his best song, and even with all the other amazing music he's made in the decades since,

I think he's probably still right.

I don't know, fight me in the comments.

EFFECTS FROM "EXO - Ko Ko Bop" IN Premiere/AE - Duration: 2:32.

Hi guys, im Freso and today i bring you another editing video, this time it's about

EXO's song Ko Ko Bop and i will show you 3 effects

we are using Premiere and After Effects, the first effect is an old film effect

we have 2 ways to do it, but first you need

a particle video, in the video description i leave the one

i used here, then you need any video, now let's see

how it's done. First put the video on the timeline

then an Adjustment Layer and then above of all that, the

particle video, select the particle video and in the opacity options

select Multiply, if you want, decrease a little the opacity

then, select the adjustment layer and go to the Color pannel, change the

options so that the orange or brown effect appears, it is best to start with

the Basic Correction part, increasing the temperature, the second

way is add instead off an Adjustment Layer, an orange/brown image or color and in the opacity

options, select Linear Light, it will appear in a same way, now

the wiggle effect, first add the video in which you want to add the effect

then in the effects pannel, search for

Turbulent Displace, and add it to the video, on Displace select any tipe

then on turbulence, clic on the watch, go foward a little and then change the

atributes, and finnaly the floating hamburguers effect

we need After Effects, add the video, go to the window pannel

select tracker, then select the video and select

Track Camera, then it will analyze the movement of the camera, when its

done, there will appear many dots on the video, select any dot, left

click and Create Null and Camera, add an image over the video and

activate the 3D option (It is the cube), then open the properties of the null object

select Transform and copy them, then go back to the previous image

and paste, it will desappear so press T and change the oppacity to 100%

and it will be done, repeat this the times you want and its done

this were all the effects from the video, hope you liked it and we'll see in the next video

Bye
