It's been a long time since I had such a nervous game.

I slept here earlier after I ate.

After I ate, I was so sleepy.

Then, I had the photo shoot and here I am eating cookies again.

I bought some beverages with Nayeon.

Some people want me to show my clip on earrings but I don't have it on today.

I wear this all the time but not the clip on earrings.

I didn't pierce my ears.

It comes off easily so I don't wear them.

What has a teacher ever done for you?

My teachers inspired me to be a lifelong learner.

She was nice. She made it easy and fun to learn and she helped us with our work.

I had a professor who inspired me to study science, and now I'm getting ready

to complete a master's degree in geology.

My teacher really encouraged me to keep trying when I was struggling.

I want my students to feel successful and feel like they deserve an education and

that they have the potential.

I really didn't think that I was going to go to Davis.

I didn't have the financial means to go there, but then when I received that scholarship

it really really impacted, like made my decision.

I cried, I was like oh my God, this is not real this can't be happening to me.

As a teacher I want to give my students the most opportunities that I can to be

an individual and unique and be everything that they can be.

This scholarship has allowed me to become a better teacher because it has allowed

me to free up my time and my mind not to worry about tuition.

And it has allowed me to use all the resources that UC Davis has available for me.

So I hope to make a difference as a teacher by being able to walk in and help the students

that perhaps don't have the same amount of support at home and in the community.

As a scholarship recipient I've been able to not just invest in my school and my tuition and my books.

But it's also been very helpful for me to be able to go to school and not worry about

"Am I on my last dollar? Am I on my last penny?"

I was a teacher for 30 years and I support the teachers of the future because I believe that education

is the basis for

everything that we do and I hope that other people will join me in donating to the School of Education

So celebrate Give Day by making a gift in honor of a special teacher.

Your gift will support students like me so we can support students like them.

What has a teacher ever? Ahhh!

Can I do that one again? I didn't feel comfortable. Yeah, okay?
