Youtube daily report Apr 4 2017

Rebecca was a 17-year-old high school honor student.

She was loved by her teachers, adored by her friends.

She was responsible, she was kind, she was fun.

One summer day she and a friend were walking to see the fireworks

at Western Connecticut State University

when a car came speeding down the road and hit her

and killed her.

It's a kind of situation that makes people ask , "Why?

Why would something like that happen to someone like her?

Why would God allow something like that to happen to her and her parents?"

It's the kind of situation that makes people sometimes wonder

about the things that Jesus says.

In John chapter 6, Jesus says this. He says,

But there are so many situations in life that make us feel hungry and thirsty.

They make us feel as if we're never going to be satisfied

with anything close to the good life Jesus describes there.

But it's really important to think about what your definition of a good life is.

That was the case even for Rebecca.

When Rebecca was a freshman in high school,

she was given a writing assignment to come up with a bucket list,

a list of things that she wanted to do before she died.

And she had three things on her list.

Number one, go to Spain.

Number two, kiss in the rain.

And number three, save a life.

Well, later that summer her parents took her to Spain.

Later on that summer she and her boyfriend kissed in the rain.

And one night, Rebecca and her friend, Benjamin,

were walking to see the fireworks at Western Connecticut State University.

They were crossing the street when she saw a car speeding

directly towards Benjamin,

when she jumped in front of the car,

pushed Benjamin out of the way,

and saved his life.

She had three things on her bucket list

and she was able to do all three.

By her own definition, she lived a very good life.

Just like Jesus believes he did when he was hanging on a cross

with nothing in his hands except a little bit of iron.

He was hungry and he was thirsty

in ways that you and I can't even imagine,

as a punishment for sins that did not belong to him,

came speeding towards him.

And he decided just to hang in there

and let it hit him because Jesus had a bucket list too.

It was to not stop living until he had offered the very best life this world had ever seen

as a sacrifice to save the one thing in this world that meant more to him than anything.

He chose to save you

so that you could walk through this life

knowing that whatever this hard world ever takes away,

you still have the right to expect the very best that God could ever give.

I'm hosting our 'Time of Grace' television program this week.

I'd love for you to join Pastor Mark Jeske and me

as Pastor Jeske shares a very powerful

message on the reality of our own death,

as well as the reality of the Jesus who saves us from it.

If you'd like more information on how to tune in,

I look forward to seeing you tomorrow.

S. Korea's acting president vows strong countermeasures against N. Korea - Duration: 0:32.

South Korea's acting president has vowed stern countermeasures against any potential North

Korean threats.

Chairing a weekly cabinet meeting, Hwang Kyo-ahn warned of Pyongyang's aggression, which he

noted could coincide with a military anniversary and the birthday of its founding leader Kim

Il-sung later this month.

Hwang also pointed to the U.S.-China summit this week... and the upcoming presidential

election here in South Korea... as possible occasions the North would attempt to carry

out a nuclear test.

Japanese envoy to return to Seoul as S. Korea enters election phase - Duration: 2:03.

The Japanese ambassador to Seoul is due back in the South Korean capital today,... ending

an eighty-five-day absence.

The return is sooner than many had expected,... and Tokyo says it wants to lay the groundwork

for a new administration in South Korea.

Our Connie Kim at the foreign ministry.

Japan's envoy to South Korea will be returning to Seoul late Tuesday night.

His return comes nearly three months after he was recalled to Tokyo in protest of a civic

group's installation of a statue honoring the victims of Japan's wartime sexual slavery,...

which was set up in Korea's southeastern port city of Busan.

Japan had previously said it would not send Ambassador Yasumasa Nagamine and consul general

in Busan Yasuhiro Morimoto back to South Korea until Seoul showed a specific movement to

remove the statue.

Tokyo's sudden change of heart comes as it saw the need to prepare for South Korea's

snap presidential election next month.

"There's a need for us to gather information in Seoul as South Korea is preparing for a

new leadership."

.

The North Korea factor was another important deciding factor as Tokyo is seeking a higher-level

of information sharing with Seoul in the face of North Korea's growing nuclear and missile

threats.

Tokyo, however, will continue to press South Korea to remove the recently installed statue.

Kishida said Ambassador Nagamine will be tasked with urging acting president Hwang Kyo-ahn

to ensure the so-called 'comfort women' deal is stuck to under the next administration.

The landmark deal was reached in late 2015.

Under the agreement, Japan apologized to the women who were sexually enslaved by the Japanese

military during World War Two.

In return,...

Seoul would promise not to press any future claims.

Most experts say that, despite the envoy's return,... not much improvement is expected

in bilateral ties.

Instead,... they say the envoy will gather information on South Korea's presidential

candidates and seek exchanges.

Creating LEX LUTHOR «Batman v Superman» [+SUBTITLES] - Duration: 4:48.

JOHNS: Lex appeared early in Superman's career.

Back then, he had hair. He had red hair.

So, like the movie, he first started with hair.

And he was a mad scientist at first.

For a long, long time, he was just a mad scientist

and wanted to destroy Superman.

And ultimately, it was John Byrne in the 1980s

who reinvented Lex Luthor as a businessman.

And he had a company, LexCorp.

And he became a different kind of modern-day adversary for Superman.

PHIL JIMENEZ: Superhero comics generally are about

superheroes going out to fight supervillains.

And in every corner of the DC Universe,

we are seeing re-imaginings of the characters themselves.

The modernization of Lex is a good complement for my Superman

because that's essentially what we tried to do with Man of Steel,

was bring Superman into the present day in the modern world,

and Lex is a facet of that.

EISENBERG: I think Lex in a way set up his company with...

I guess I would call it some kind of faux magnanimity,

where it seems like the employees are all equal colleagues.

He's eschewed any kind of status or hierarchy.

As you meet him, you start to realize, though, it's a total facade.

He conducts his own business from a very isolated and dark place.

Speech, speech. Uh...

Blah, blah, blah. Uh...

Open bar.

(CLEARS THROAT) The end.

EISENBERG: This speech was written by Chris Terrio,

and it's so incredible.

It exactly parallels what I think my character is doing for humanity,

saving humanity against Superman,

and for that, I'm punished.

The word "philanthropist" comes from the Greek.

Meaning a lover of humanity.

It was coined about 2,500 years ago

in a little play about a Titan named Prometheus,

who had to choose sides between gods and men.

And he chose us.

And he ruined Zeus' plan to destroy mankind,

and for that he was given a thunderbolt.

(IMITATES THUNDERBOLT ZAPPING)

That seems unfair.

This speech is so clever because it starts out about philanthropy,

and then it actually turns into this very rich, textured, layered speech

about this thing that my character's dealing with.

The bittersweet pain among men

is having knowledge with no power, because...

Yes, lW0uld. (CLEARS THROAT)

There was a take on Lex Luthor from a book called Superman: Birthright,

where he was too smart.

He understood too much.

He was crazy because his mind could never turn off.

This is the smartest man in the room.

This might be the smartest man on the planet.

You've lost.

No,no,no.

I don't know how to lose.

You'll learn.

He's dealing with a lot of what we would consider modern psychological problems,

and we'd probably diagnose him today

as some kind of narcissistic sociopath or something,

where he doesn't have what we would consider maybe empathy.

He sees people as paper dolls, pawns.

As an actor, it's really fun 'cause you end up being able to do

all the things that you're not allowed to do in public without getting arrested,

and you're able to charm people in a way that is kind of gross

but is fun to act out in a safe environment.

Obeys only me!

Born to destroy you.

Your Doomsday.

So Lex creates Doomsday,

tells Superman, "He's born to be your destroyer."

Lex has a kind of Freudian psychology,

and he creates kind of a son. He thinks of Doomsday like a son.

He takes Zod's body and uses it to create Doomsday.

And he has this almost paternal feeling for Doomsday.

But Lex determines that that is the best way to kill Superman.

Cut it out! That's great.

JOHNS: Lex in the film is very maniacal.

He's just starting out.

He's on his way to becoming the iconic Lex Luthor in the comic books,

but it's a very different version.

EISENBERG: There is a mythology around Superman,

which is why there are all these religious aspects to Superman.

There are all these, frankly, god-like parallels.

Lex is the Satan. He's the kind of all evil

in the same way, I guess, Satan is sometimes depicted as charming.

So, Lex, in that way, is like the kind of mythological evil.

-It's pretty exciting. How do you feel? - Great.

- Are you nervous? - No, I feel great.

- Yeah, yeah, good. - Is it cathartic?

Yeah, I think so.

ZACK: The way we're doing it is, he's gonna shave the front of your head.

He'll start at the front and go...

(IMITATES WHIRRING)

And we have two cameras.

And then we go just... Reset to the cameras behind.

And then... (IMITATES WHIRRING) He'll shave the back.

And then what we do is, I go to an overhead.

And then he puts the shaving cream on your head.

- And then he starts the straight razor. - EISENBERG: Mmm-hmm.

ZACK: And then we finish in sort of a close-up. And then we pull back.

And you can do your sort of Stanley Kubrick, like head down.

(EISENBERG CHUCKLES)

EISENBERG: Lex views himself as a savior of mankind,

so he views Superman as just existentially wrong.

Like, this guy should not exist,

and that creates a very dangerous person.

Escape The Hotel Room 67 | Follow Me Around - Duration: 5:38.

English subtitles: So, today I'm going to play an ESCAPE ROOM!

Those of you who saw my last videos already know what I'm talking about.

I will put links to these videos in the video description for those of you who haven't watch them yet.

Short summery: Escape Rooms are rooms where you go in and you need to find all the hidden clues and solve all the puzzles in order to find your way out of the room again.

Mostly there's a given time frame (1 hour for example) in which you need to solve all the puzzles.

And today I'm going to the Novotel in Zurich (City West).

That's a hotel with a very special hotel room called "Room 67".

It's a very old fashioned hotel room where strange things are happening.

And today WE're going there to try to solve the mystery.

"WE" means that's it's not a good idea to play an Escape Room on your own.

Because of that I'm going to pick up some friends and then let's go to Zurich!

So we arrived here at the Novotel in Zurich and we already read the game interduction.

We're nervous but excited what's going to be in this hotel room 67. So I hope you will have fun watching. :)

So we actually made it out of the room 67 with 3 minutes left out of 60 minutes you get to solve everything.

We solved a lot of difficult puzzles and it was very close at the end. It was fun.

As you maybe know, I already played some other Escape Rooms and compared to them it was a really cool looking setup.

And there are a few surprises in there.

The one criticism I have, is that 2 things were already open, but they were supposed to be locked. So during the preparation of the room the gamemaster must have made a little mistake but it wasn't that bad.

And if you're in Zurich (Switzerland) and you want to play the Escape Room 67 as well you can go to www.zurichescape.ch to book your game.

A big THANK YOU to Zurichescape for this cooperation. It's not taken for granted that we were allowed to film in an Escape Room.

Also I want to say, I'm not getting paid for telling you about Zurichescape. I did this cooperation because I love Escape Rooms and I love to show you and tell you about them on my channel. And of course all my opinions about the game are still my own opinions.

I hope you liked this video and hopefully see you next time... :)

Les nouveautés iOS 10.3 - Vlog #005 - Duration: 2:41.

Apple just released a new iOS update last week

the 10.3

It's a minor update

so no big announcement

but few interesting changes on the user experience

The first change

is the ability to rate an app

directly in it (in-app rating)

Until now, to rate an app

we were redirected to the App Store

and we had to leave the app

Today the editors are able

to integrate directly the rating system

inside the app

To prevent SPAM

Apple limited this functionality

to 3 rating requests

per year and per device.

The second change

is the ability for the editors to answer to your reviews

Until now when you writed a review

editors wasn't able to contact you

The problem is that sometimes your rating was bad

because of a bug in the app

or because you had a problem with it

Now things changed

and the editors will be allowed to answer

and to do their best to improve the app rating

by fixing for exemple bugs you'll notify

After an editor feedback

you'll be able to edit your review

and give a better rating.

And the third and last new change of this update

maybe the most interesting

is the ability to change an app icon without asking for an update

Before this new iOS version

Editors had to update

their icon by their side

and then to submit it for validation to Apple

which took up to 2 weeks

for this update validation

and then publish it publicly

This method is now over

and editors will be directly allowed

to put icons in the app

way before

and allow their users

to select another icon

for example if they prefer to have it in another color

or to change this icon depending on special events

You have to know that for each icon change

the user will be notified in order to find it easily

on his home screen

This 5th episode is now over

it was a short episode this time

I just discovered those changes and it seemed interesting to be able to share them with you

Tell me in the comments if you found other interesting changes in this update

please LIKE and SHARE. See you soon!

Tokyo citizens raise awareness of Japan's military 'comfort women' sex slave issue - Duration: 7:08.

The recalled Japanese ambassador to Seoul will return, but the dispute over the decades-old

wartime sexual slavery issue is unlikely to be completely resolved anytime soon.

Fuelling the anger on the Korean side is the Japanese government's attitude... that there's

nothing more to discuss.

So... we thought we'd hear from people in Japan who beg to differ with their government's

stance.

Oh Soo-young files this report from Tokyo.

Marking the decades-long cries for recognition, reparation and healing,... the Statue of Peace

outside the Japanese Embassy in Seoul represents the women and girls forced into sexual slavery

by Japan in the early 20th century.

The statue has inspired similar models around the world,... but its meaning is lost on many

Japanese.

"I haven't learned much about it, but I've heard about it on TV."

"I remember hearing about it briefly at high school.

But they don't teach it these days.

I think that's wrong."

"It's not in the curriculum.

I haven't been taught about it.

I think we need to learn more about history to move past conflict."

"It seems most of the Japanese public aren't aware of Japan's wartime sexual enslavement

of women.

Here in Tokyo, there are a number of people working to change that."

Tucked away in a room at a small publishing house in Tokyo.. a young girl waits to see

daylight.

Yuka Okamoto, a writer and publisher, was entrusted with a duplicate of the statue of

peace,... by the sculptors of the original.

"It's been two years, but we haven't found a place for her.

We're worried the conservatives will clamp down on us."

Moved by a victim's testimony in 1991,... Okamoto joined local efforts to raise awareness

of the sexual slavery issue in Japan.

"Because the issue has been erased from most school textbooks-- young people don't know

about it.

And the Japanese media pumps out biased reports that stir up distrust and the misconception

that the statue is anti-Japanese."

She digs for historical evidence and resources and publishes the findings through printed

and online contents.

By building a better understanding among the Japanese public, she hopes some day the girl

in her backroom can sit in the sun.

"The offender has no right to tell the victims to remove the statue.

If anything, Japan is more in need of it, so it never forgets the past."

Preserving memories before they are forgotten,...

A museum in Tokyo,... holds records from nine countries where women were forced into so-called

'comfort stations'.

"Tokyo denies evidence that women were forced into sex slavery, claiming the issue was settled

with the countries.

So we collect official documents, journal entries and personal testaments for our database

available for anyone to access."

Under pressure and even threats from right-wing groups,... the activists here believe that,

as Japanese citizens, it's their duty to ensure that history does not repeat itself.

"It's a human rights issue-- a case of gender-based violence-- which applies today in warzones

all over the world.

We must not forget the terrible acts of our ancestors to warn the world against it."

However, they are in a race against time to collect more evidence and testimonies,...

as many victims and witnesses have already passed away,... and the traces of the events

continue to be erased from Japan's history textbooks.

Yang Jing-ja, a Korean-Japanese translator,... sometimes wonders if she's fighting a losing

battle.

For more than 20 years,... she's led a civic group that calls for Tokyo to fully acknowledge

its past atrocities.

This is a military journal.

It says, "wherever the Japanese soldiers conquer, they rape the women again and again.

So they need to set up a sexual 'comfort' station as soon as possible."

That's what it says here.

Along with other evidence,... Yang turned the records over to Japanese authorities in

2014.

Did you get a response?

A year later, they gave it back.

They just said, "We return your documents."

What keeps Yang going,... is the enduring spirit of the Korean victims.

"When granny Song Shin-do, a victim, lost her 10-year-long court case against the Japanese

authorities, our team wept and wept.

But do you know what she said?

She said 'I'm okay.

My heart is still unbroken.'

The Japanese government may be unmoved.

But we have seen the victims come out of their shells and transform over the years.

And that changed us.

Seeing their humanity and goodness despite everything.

We must pass their message to the next generation."

Mirei Yamagata, an actress and dancer in her thirties,... speaks to her generation.

She first encountered the sex slavery issue, when she was cast to play a Korean victim

in the early days of her career.

"I wondered how to get into that mentality of woman who underwent that terrible experience

but also I felt a strong responsibility as a Japanese woman to play the role of a Korean

comfort woman."

Years later, after visiting a residence for the victims in Korea,... she was inspired

to create her own solo piece, which she performed in Japan and Taiwan.

"The moment they were put in these comfort stations, their lives could not go back to

normal.

I wanted to make the piece a requiem for them, to soothe their souls, give them a place where

they could live the life they couldn't have."

Beyond political and cultural differences,... Yamagata hopes to inspire humanity.

"We need to look at this issue as a big mistake by mankind.

I think it's very important that at least in schools, people get taught more about it.

To understand the psychology or the situation of why these events occured and what's going

to prevent that from happening again."

Settling the past does not mean to forget and apologies mean nothing without an admission

of wrongdoing.

It's by no means a political agenda.

It's a human issue that weighs heavy on the conscience of those who choose to ignore it.

Both of these

lenses are very inexpensive compared to

your other options. I bought the MC

Rokkor PG for $79 and the MD F2 for only

$26. Those are very real

bargains when you consider the price to

performance. While the MD F2 is much

smaller and lighter, it's also made

almost completely from plastic parts.

Despite the plastic, this lens is

extremely well-built compared to some of

the more modern lenses that are

available to you. The MC Rokkor PG,

however is top tier when it comes to a

well-made lens. It's built almost

completely from metal with an incredibly

smooth follow focus and snappy aperture.

This lens compares in build quality to

many of the highly sought after Leica R

lenses and will hold up for many years

to come. For this test, I used a Fotasy

Minolta MD to micro four-thirds adapter

for both lenses, which can be found

online for about $13. This

lens can be easily attached and removed

from this adapter and most if not all

Minolta MD adapters work with any

Minolta lens with MD, MC, Rokkor or

Celtic in their names. Vignetting and

decreased contrast are common among most

Minolta lenses at lower apertures. This

appears to be more of an issue on the

Minolta MC Rokkor PG according to

my tests. Stopping down to f/4 more will

help correct this issue. Minolta lenses

do not come with an anti-flare coating

on the front lens element, so you will

need to be aware of that especially when

shooting outdoors. You will probably want

to buy a lens hood or matte box with

either one of these lenses. This was a

surprise to me, but on some of my tests

the MD F2 appears to be sharper than

the MC Rokkor PG at lower apertures. This

is likely caused by the ghosting I

talked about earlier. However, on the MC

Rokkor PG the color rendition and

contrast are unmatched. If you plan to

shoot wide open a lot, then the MD F2

will probably provide you with the

sharpest image across the entire frame.

But the MC Rokkor PG will render color,

contrast, and bokeh in a much more pleasing

way. Overall, I prefer Minolta's MC Rokkor

X PG not only for the superb image

quality, but the build quality as well.

This lens performs like many more

expensive cinema lenses and balances

nicely with my GH4. That being said,

the Minolta MD 50mm F2 is an

exceptional lens, especially when you

consider what you're paying for it. If

you shop around, you might be able to buy

both for under $100 and

get the best of both worlds. Click on the
