Can artificial intelligence help predict and prevent traffic accidents? - BBC Click - Duration: 24:25.
this week cars bars and the police ride
I'm on my way to a reported incident on one of Las Vegas busiest highways with
the last rain falling over four months ago
the oily roads mixed with the fresh water have become a lethal recipe for
disaster in the driving seat is Sergeant John arias from Nevada Highway Patrol
he's using wake air software that alerts him to an incident as soon as it's
reported via someone calling 9-1-1 or through driving apps like Waze and it
provides him with details and the best route to get to the scene tell me the
location what kind of accident if it's a debris how long it's going and if
there's any responders that are already signed to the car that are on their way
it constantly updates him on the situation as it develops having a robust
system in place doesn't just help with weather-related collisions and delay for
the portion that we handled in the Highway Patrol is really getting the
public that's on the strip off the highway as quickly as possible or
closing off the freeway so we can have those critical resources fire medical
ambulances to get people to the hospital and get there quickly in 2017 15,000
crashes were tended to with over 300 people dying on average each year in
road accidents in Nevada getting emergency services to the scene as
quickly as possible is critical
the system has been running through the regional transportation Commission's
traffic management center for the past three months
now because we're getting information and through so many different data
streams not just the dispatchers but we're getting it through social media
we're getting it through things like the Waze app so as people are tagging them
in as they're driving because all of this is happening so quickly we might
have already sent out all of that information and had everybody in this
room aware before the first 9-1-1 call comes in so we're talking about possibly
10 to 15 minutes of improvement in response time for some of these
incidents that's major when you're dealing with traffic incidents wake app
pulls in data from several sources traffic signals CCTV cameras in vehicle
sensors and information from driving apps it factors in things like what day
of the year it is the time of day and the weather responding to incidents
rapidly is one thing but the point is to be able to predict incidents before they
happen so the responders can be better prepared and in the right location using
deep learning what we do is we look at the historical data run it through
algorithms to develop a patterns that are emerging and tie it to what's
happening now on the road and by doing that we're essentially able to look
forward in time to identify where these incidents are likely to occur
unfortunately Waker wasn't able to predict this one taking pictures and
looks like it's the rear yeah you see how she was spinning out she did a full
180 and struck being able to foresee accidents here could really save lives
the hope is that as the data gets more sophisticated the predictions will
become more accurate every day we get more and more evidence about what causes
what triggers an incident and the artificial learning gets smarter and
smarter and more capable for Nevada now though the initial results are promising
they get there faster we clear it faster and that means less secondary accidents
and if you think about it secondary accidents have basically have
18 percent of secondary accidents are fatalities so we're reducing the
fatalities on the road rate and of course the goal is to prevent accidents
altogether and Richard Taylor and Lara Linton have been looking at some in-car
technologies that may help make that a reality
at CES as you might expect there's a lot of interest in self-driving cars and
it's pretty clear that were on a one-way street
towards full autonomy but that does still seem to be a way off although we
don't know exactly how far in the meantime though there is plenty of
innovation to be seen before we reach our final destination unsurprisingly the
move towards autonomy to driving is focused largely on safety with Hyundai
creating a system to intervene when we need it the most the girls face it with
a combination of biometric sensors in the seat they're tracking heartrate and
a low resolution camera which is tracking your facial movements now the
reason is low resolution is so that the refresh rate is a lot quicker so if
there's a problem if it seems that you've lost concentration or you're
drifting off to sleep then the car could quickly react to autonomously be moved
off the road to a safe spot and the basic premise of this technology could
be available in just a mere meanwhile Nissan has a different even more
futuristic twist on biometrics using my gray matter the idea of this system is
really to provide an interaction between man and machine between my brain and the
AI and the concept here with Nissan is that even in a world of autonomous
vehicles there will be roles for humans to play after all a lot of people do
find driving quite a positive experience it can interpret the signals coming from
the human and actually enhance the riding this so-called brain to vehicle
tech currently involves wearing this bizarre-looking electrode studded helmet
to capture my brain activity and interpret the signals as much as half a
second before my muscles do so as I'm about to say change lane or hit the
brakes it will initiate the action for me giving me a smoother ride and yet
still allowing me a sense of control they do need to sort out their helm
though oh dear I'm not driving very well here yet what we can't hide away from is
the fact that when full autonomy does come to pass it's not simply about cars
this is Yamahas concept motorbike a self-driving racing vehicle that should
be able to do speeds of over a hundred and twenty miles per hour although not
on actual roads you'd hope but whatever the form of autonomous vehicle it'll
need to interact safely with pedestrians and cyclists to a challenge that Ford
are hoping to overcome in their vehicles initially cyclists will have to be seen
by the vehicles and we are building perception into our autonomous vehicle
that allows the autonomous vehicle to detect the cyclist objects to understand
their intent to ensure that we can be safely navigating in the same space and
Ford are just one of the big brands who've called upon the help of nvidia
whose processors combined with intelligent software can make the
environment around the vehicle safer for example using lidar sensors to alert a
driver who's about to open a car door onto a cyclist and AI is fueling other
experiences inside the car - speech recognition specialists nuance power
many of today's in-car interactions and they showed off how they'll look in
future as well today we think about the assistant is
something that we interacted with using voice but we can add other modalities of
course we have the screen we have touch but maybe we can use gestures and in
this specific prototype we introduced eye tracking as a way of helping the
assistant understand what am I is a driver looking at and then I can ask
questions about my environment so if I see a coffee shop in front of me I can
just ask a question about it what is the user rating of this coffee shop
stars so the other part of the system is that there are microphones placed in
different parts of the car which means that the AI can respond according to
where the different passengers are so here in the passenger seat I can say
hello dragon I'm cold there's definitely a trend towards making our journeys more
enjoyable as well as safer Toyota have even updated their happiness tracking
concept car aiming for a more pleasurable journey and even suggesting
where you might want to go for anyone who needs their car to tell them since
you are 30 I'll tell you something interesting there are many options
around Union Square from casual dining to michelin-starred high-end restaurants
as well as popular cafes do you like it yes well that was a bit of fun but I
didn't need the AI to tell me that I was ready for dinner
sushi yeah okay welcome to the week in tech it was the week that Ford announced
it will invest 8 billion pounds in electric cars in the next five years a
flaw in a VR porn app called sin VR left 20,000 users names and email addresses
exposed and hackers managed to steal $400,000 worth of cryptocurrency
by hijacking a server that hosts a web-based wallet for virtual currency it
was a busy week for cryptocurrency as Bitcoin encountered his biggest daily
crash in four months it's thought that fears over increased regulation
particularly in Asia were behind the downturn a contraceptive app previously
heralded as being as effective as the pill has been criticized by a Swedish
hospital for a number of unintended pregnancies they say were linked to the
app the company behind the app natural cycles have defended the product saying
that as with any form of contraception it's not 100% effective they are now
launching an internal investigation however and I bet you didn't expect the
latest nintendo offering to include well a whole load of cardboard the latest
add ons for the switch console of cardboard packs turning the controllers
into a fishing rod a motorbike and even a robot suit gimmick or brilliance and
finally a rescue with a difference as a drone was used to save two swimmers in
trouble off the coast of New South Wales in Australia lifeguards were being
trained to use the rescue drone when practice suddenly became reality and the
drone was launched dropping a flotation device to the teenagers the whole rescue
took just 70 seconds in this trendy part of downtown Las Vegas these passengers
are waiting to hop on a special kind of ride for the past two months
French autonomous vehicle company Navia has been offering free bus rides to the
public admittedly it doesn't travel far it just as a loop around the block with
one stop at a donut shop well at least they're getting a taste of the future
down the road though I'm waiting to catch a more private ride which I've
booked on an app
as if by magic the door opens the team was still ironing out a few issues shall
we say I think this is the first genuinely autonomous vehicle I've been
in whether there really is no driver and there really is no no place for a driver
there's just safety man here that's it safety man has an Xbox one controller
down by his side Naevia is certainly not alone in this space
uber and Google's way Moe have been battling it out for some time to become
the first fully autonomous cab sharing service self-driving cars to use a lot
of sensors to be able to navigate the road safely perhaps one of the most
important is lidar this is what enables the car to judge its surroundings and
the design of these sensors is at the heart of way mo and ubers court-case na
VIU's car is no different it too uses lidar to look around interestingly what
it's not doing is looking at the traffic lights to judge what color they are
they've actually fitted special sensors to each traffic lights and those sensors
talk to the car so that doesn't sound very scalable to me that sounds like you
wouldn't be able to put this kind of technology on the open road without
fitting every single traffic light in the US with these sensors this is much
more just for predetermined routes for them these kind of shuttle via
now while I've been riding around in this particular Smart vehicle Dave Lee
has been up in Reno not that far away looking at a system that's making use of
data collected by vehicles like this to help an entire city to move more
smoothly
there's been great strides made in self-driving technology over the past
decade or so but the thing about autonomy is that it's often tested in
bright clear conditions the real world is much more distracting
in fact it's not just darkness that's difficult for existing autonomous
technologies whether it's through rain snow or just far up ahead on the road
there's a lot self-driving vehicles struggle to see important work is taking
place at the University of Reno Nevada that's attempting to solve that problem
making autonomy more intelligent and it all begins here of the corner of
50 and Virginia so at that corner we have the lidar sensor data light acids
are used to be on the Autons vehicle but we move it from the vehicle to the
intersection so it can track each pedestrian here is vehicle here what
kind of things is it picking up is it recognizing who people are I know it
only recognizes this is a pedestrian or this is a vehicle it does not recognize
who the person is think of this intersection as providing more eyes to
an autonomous vehicle it could detect a threat and communicate that to a car
heading in its direction telling it to slow down
beware so what these sensors are doing in essence is giving autonomous cars
more eyes along the road yes they just know more about what's coming up ahead
of it exactly so no black spot
part of the same program is this connected car a modified Lincoln that
could not only drive itself around but also communicate with other vehicles and
components in the city signaling its intentions to others the hardware that
you see is pretty similar to what you're going to see in most autonomous vehicles
if not all of them where we really distinguish ourselves is in the software
so our research focus is on what I call social intelligence we are trying to
build machines that understand people and understand human social behavior and
can predict what other people are going to do and then act appropriately it's a
skill that humans have you know we navigate driving effortlessly even
though we can't read other people's minds and it's a skill that computers
are going to have to have if they're ever going to drive cars in the world
with the rest of us and then there's that challenge of making the technology
work in difficult conditions inspired by an earlier project to help drones see in
the dark the team at the university's autonomous robots lab has convened lidar
radar and cameras that use advanced image recognition not only does this
dramatically improve what the car can comprehend it's also pretty cheap
once that technology is safe and ready the plan is to deploy it on electric
buses like this one but until then the team plans to use the autonomous tech to
gather large amounts of data in preparation for a self-driving future
this bus made by california-based Patera is already out on Reno's roads so right
now with a more traditional type of driver this is not autonomous yet they
liaised - at some point focus on that project however right now we're focusing
on data collection for what we call the Living Lab and data collection there
it's going to be used for the intelligent mobility program for the
foreseeable future these buses will gather data for the
living lab program in Reno a city that perhaps knows more about what's going on
on its streets than almost any other city in the world
that was Dave and now to something that we've been hearing a lot about recently
augmented reality now it works by overlaying graphics on top of the real
world and whilst AR games like Pokemon go have enjoyed global success the most
hyped bit of a Ark it's magic leap is still waiting to be released
AR remains a technology that promises more than it delivers but by combining
AR with AI researchers in Florida are hoping to create new ways to train
people to perform complex tasks marches that took their AR kits for a test drive
or should that be a test flight the University of Central Florida has a
long-established relationship with the simulation industry helping create
simulated experiences for everything from driving to supermarket shopping
the simulation lab here's latest project is a bit more high-flying than high
street though as long as we've had pcs we've had flight simulators but if
you're really serious about learning how to fly then you need an aircraft and a
human pilot to teach you what to do well this lab is about to be transformed into
an aircraft cockpit with the help of this augmented reality headset and when
I put it on it'll also provide me with my very own virtual captain called
project cap it's a collaboration with aerospace giant's Boeing necessary
information sure I'm SS Lowe I'm ready for your
takeoff breeze give it your best try the a our cockpit companion is designed as
an additional training aid for pilots the portability of the hololens meaning
they can brush up on skills or practice in almost any environment it does feel
as if I can reach out and touch the controls and I'm very much tempted to I
do that and of course there's nothing there okay captain you seem to have a
better idea of what to do in this aircraft so call for taxi Roger the
sequence will be 2 followed by 1 you are cleared to start number 2 ready at the
moment cap responds to a very small number of voice commands or questions
beacon on mic check ok 1 2 3 but this sort of simple practice can still be
useful for trainee pilots augmented reality gives us a chance to bridge the
gap between the things that have always been trapped in the digital world and
the real world around us how can we start to merge those two things together
in effective ways how can we create holograms right before you for things
that might be less safe if you were to do them in the real world or that you
might need additional information besides what you can build around you in
the real world closed and locked that's behind him to
check that v1 120 VR it's a very convincing illusion that there's a pilot
in here with me any questions do we have a specific
altitude restriction for the Serbs a year in development cap himself is
actually modeled on a real pilot we had an opportunity to take some of our
friends who are pilots in this case one in particular and see if you would
actually subject himself to a full-body scan to then be able to use him as our
avatar so that's who we have an actual pilot who knows the mannerisms and
gestures that we could put into that virtual pilot seat but is this another
instance of Technology putting people out of their jobs no no it's you provide
student pilots for the opportunity to practice interpersonal skills before
they actually get to a flight training center with real pilots and we can
provide them with a greater breadth of experiences through introducing
different variables such as different culture types or personality styles that
they can practice with I do wonder about other applications for this sort of this
sort of kit somebody that might be able to teach you how to drive a car for
instance or teach you how to operate various bits of equipment and machinery
some of the work that we had done before doing the work with Boeing was in things
like medical simulation being able to have a holographic overlay so that you
could see the x-rays laid on top exactly placed or the CT scans or MRIs those are
things we think hold great promise not only just because they'll help with
visualization but they might actually lead to better quality of care or
life-saving because you have better access to data right when you need it so
one day beyond the cockpit caps digital descendants might help teach us how to
do all kinds of things sure no problem
and from bowing to boozing I'm on my way to the tipsy robots a bar where mixology
has been given a high-tech makeover here the drinks are shaken and served by
these two chaps I can even invent my own cocktail by choosing from some of the
120 odds spirits hanging from the ceiling or I assume all of the hundred
20 old spirits know what I do that no I can't do that apparently these droids
can mix over a hundred cocktails an hour between the two of them now that sounded
impressive till I discovered that some human bartenders can do ten times that
and that is it but click in the US for this week don't forget you can follow us
on twitter at BBC click where you can see loads of extra backstage videos and
photos or though trust me you don't want to see what happens after i have one or
two of these Cheers see you soon

Will Roe v. Wade Be Overturned? - Duration: 6:01.
Mmhm... focus...
There we go!
So, should we be worried about Roe v. Wade being overturned?
The short answer is "kind of, but not yet".
Today, January 22nd, is the 45th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, which was a landmark Supreme
Court decision that legalized abortion in the United States.
When Donald Trump was elected last year, he and the Republican Party vowed to overturn
Roe v. Wade and make abortion illegal.
This is something that troubled me deeply, it troubled others deeply, but is Roe in any
immediate danger?
Amy Miller, the plaintiff in Whole Woman's Health v. Hellerstedt, doesn't think so.
Whole Woman's Health v. Hellerstedt was another landmark decision in June of 2016, stating
that if a law was so difficult to follow that it resulted in the closing of abortion clinics
without actually making abortion safer, then the law is unconstitutional.
Miller says she was "thrilled but not surprised" by the decision, which was a 5-3 majority.
In order to overturn Roe, Trump would have to fill 2 Supreme Court vacancies, get a case
before the Court in time, and go against 45 years of Court precedent and public sentiment.
According to the Pew Research Center, over 70 percent of Americans support Roe v. Wade.
The anti-choice camp is working very hard to get another case before the Court, but
in the meantime, there are far more insidious issues.
According to Miller, "With a Democrat in the Oval Office for 8 of the past 15 years, in
Texas, we have still seen more restrictions placed on abortion care and family planning
than nearly any other state in the Union.
As a result, our maternal mortality rate is the worst in the country -- worse than many
developing nations."
The victory of Whole Woman's Health v. Hellerstedt hasn't actually resulted in much improvement,
as the ruling doesn't automatically overturn unconstitutional laws, and anti-abortion groups
are continuing to behave as though nothing has happened.
This leads me to a topic that I am very passionate about: TRAP laws.
TRAP stands for Targeted Restrictions on Abortion Providers.
These laws place medically unnecessary restrictions on abortions and abortion providers, making
abortion more difficult to access and sometimes even impossible.
I plan on making in-depth videos on some of these specific tactics, but in the meantime,
Riley J. Dennis has made a fantastic overview of the topic, which you can watch by following
the link in the description below.
Anti-abortion groups seem to have taken a more aggressive tack recently, shifting their
focus from regulating the clinics themselves to regulating waste disposal, as well as outright
intimidation.
Created Equal, a group that is regularly on our campus, has the goal of forcing people
who have abortions to bury or cremate the fetus instead of letting the clinic send it
to a medical waste disposal.
This has the effect of humanizing the fetus, but it also has the more alarming effect of
possibly closing clinics.
In November 2017, Specific Waste ceased services to Kentucky's last remaining abortion clinic,
EMW Women's Surgical Center in Louisville.
This creates yet another hurdle for a clinic that is struggling to stay open, as no hospital
president nor CEO is willing to sign a transfer agreement with the clinic.
This is another example of a TRAP law.
The federal government already requires hospitals to accept any patients who come to their emergency
room, regardless of the existence of a "transfer agreement" between the hospital and the clinic,
and yet the requirement still exists; hospitals still refuse to give it, and this could close--I
can't emphasize this enough--the only clinic remaining in the entire state of Kentucky.
That would make Kentucky the first state in the nation to not have a single abortion clinic.
On top of this, blatant intimidation can be seen at virtually any clinic in the entire
country.
I actually made a video about my escorting experience last summer?
Maybe 2 summers ago.
You can watch that in the description and see how bad it is.
This intimidation has recently escalated to illegal levels, with so called Red Rose Rescuers
physically walking into abortion clinics and praying in the waiting rooms until they are
physically removed by police officers.
And, on top of all of this, crisis pregnancy centers continue to receive state funding
while actual abortion clinics do not.
The topic of CPCs is way too broad to cover in this video, but I actually organized a
protest against my local CPC last fall, which you can check out, again, in the video description,
and there are many other videos about this topic on YouTube.
B. Jessie Hill states in an article in The Conversation, "What is more immediately at
risk is the long-term fate of abortion clinics, women's access to safe abortion, and even
the availability of other forms of reproductive healthcare.
In other words, what is at risk is everything other than Roe v. Wade."
Pro-choice activists need to get asses in gear and go on the offensive instead of constantly
reacting.
We've learned in 2017 that we can't trust Democrats to defend abortion, either.
In August of last year--this is a mouthful so I need to consult my notes--Democratic
Congressional Campaign Committee Chair Ben Ray Luján stated that the Democratic Party
will not withhold financial support from anti-abortion candidates, instead saying that there will
be "no litmus test" on abortion in 2018.
The only way to push back against abortion restrictions, then, is to hold our elected
representatives accountable and change the shape of public discourse surrounding abortion.
The Abortion Positive movement, led by groups like All* Above All and URGE: Unite for Reproductive
and Gender Equity, seeks to reduce the stigma surrounding abortion by encouraging people
to talk about it.
In spring of 2016, URGE's Abortion Positive Tour visited 10 college campuses in 5 different
states.
The tour celebrated abortion access with music, giveaways, and guest speakers.
You can help reduce the stigma by talking unapologetically about abortion in your community
and encouraging people to actually get out and vote for pro-choice candidates.
The right to have an abortion isn't necessarily in danger, but the right to access one definitely is.
Mobilize against your local laws that make abortion inaccessible.
If you'd like to support me in making more videos like this, you can donate to my Patreon,
which, like everything else, like I've said a million times, is linked in the description
below, and you can subscribe if you'd like to see more controversial content, like this.
Abortion on demand and without apology.

How to Install LED Headlight Bulbs in Your Car (LED vs Halogen) - DIY with Scotty Kilmer - Duration: 3:29.
one, two, three, four!
Rev up your engines!
it's time for mechanics Monday, welcome to my new segment mechanic Monday, every
Monday I'll be getting back to you guys by hosting a giveaway, giving away tools
and Auto products, that I've tested out, and today I'm giving away a pair of LED
headlamp bulbs, now many modern cars already come with LEDs in them, but the
problem is, they can be super expensive, now a while back they started putting
LED headlights on top end cars, but when they broke you had to buy whole
assemblies, and some of them were as much as twenty four hundred dollars apiece,
now the LED headlights are brighter and actually use less energy than
conventional headlights, this particular pair is about fifty one dollars on
Amazon, comes with a two-year guarantee believe me don't buy the $19 ones I've
tried them out and they all burnt out pretty fast, here's the original halogen bulb,
you just twist it to the side, and it comes right out, then you just unplug it,
and plug the new one back in,
just goes back into the hole, snaps in, and you turn it until it locks, and as you
can see, it's got one, two, three strong LEDs in it, so it does full coverage it's
not one of these jobs were it's got one or two when it's bouncing all over the
place, this has a nice beam that comes out right, now here's the factory halogen
in the daytime, and here's the new LED bulb, you can see it's much brighter just
look at the difference, this has the LED, where the other side still has the
halogen, just look you can tell how much brighter it is, and of course do the other side
too, and snap it into the hole too and twist it until it locks, and here we are in a
day time, you can see it's nice and brighter, but of course the real test is
the night time, so now we got to wait until it gets dark, and here we go, here's
the new LED lights, we can see how bright they are when they're turned on, and
here's the conventional halogens that it came with, the factory ones, you can tell
the difference, headlamps burn pretty hot, let's see what the temperature is with this temperature tool,
go down here and measure it, it's over eight hundred and
sixty-seven degrees, now let's check the temperature of these LED headlights
instead, there are only 128 degrees, the LEDs run so much cooler they're not
going to warp the plastic, they're not going to make it get cloudy, I love using these
LED replacement bulbs, and since they run cooler, of course they're going to use a
lot less energy, that's why they use LED in a lot of modern cars, it's for more
efficiency, and remember to have a chance to win these tools, just post a nice
clean non-offensive comment in a YouTube comments below, and the winner will be
picked randomly by a computer, and since entropy is the end state of
all matter, that's a fair way to pick a winner,
thanks for watching this video and good luck in the contest, so if you never want to miss
another one of my new car repair videos remembering to ring that Bell!

Tony Robbins ft Les Brown: Change Your Life Right Now ( Inspirational Video ) - Duration: 16:05.
What is the single force that controls the quality of your life if there was
one gift our Creator has given us or the universe whatever you believe what is it
what is the one power that you have right now in this moment that can change
everything you haven't I haven't we all have it if this one singular individual
power that can change anything in our life regardless of what's happened to us
and I know you know the answer the answer is the power of choice the one
thing we have in this world is we can't control the events but we can choose
what to focus on we can choose what things mean and we can choose what to do
those three choices those three decisions really control our life it's
not so much the conditions of our life that control our destiny as much as the
decisions of our life try for a second to think about something they cannot
your life and just think about are there a few decisions if I were to ask you two
decisions you've made your life you know that if you would have made a different
decision you would have a totally different life I mean it may be a life
may have been better it may have been worse I don't know but you would have
different life I'm not asking you to to by the fact that you should have known
the answers I'm just want you to see the power of a decision how is your life
better today cuz the decision you've made years ago not just negative ones
think about it sometimes a little decision changes your whole life like
you decide one day to go to a certain school and you go to that school to go
eat someplace and you bump into person that becomes the love of your life or
you meet someone and you decide as a result of that that you're gonna become
a photographer or a software engineer or a business person or a doctor or a
dentist whatever they impacted you but you made the decision that's what I
really want that's what that's what my life's gonna be about and that decision
has affected so much of your life what you do how you live your life I you
spend your time what you earn or don't earn you know who you attract into your
life beliefs you have all come from some of these little descent
what you decide to eat from your dinner plate each night certainly determines
your physical destiny right we all know that at least to a certain extent I know
there's a certain amount that's genetics but I'm talking about the stuff you and
I can control so decisions equal destiny it's not our conditions
it's our decisions so if we want a new life if we want a new experience we got
to make new choices if you don't like the way your career is or your
businesses change it if you don't like your body change it you don't like your
relationship change you first because if you change it you'll bring you to the
next one maybe it's time to change it too but change yourself first if you
want to change any of your life you have the choice so there is no right or wrong
I just want to make you aware in this breakthrough session that everything in
our life changes the moment we make a decision I mean a real decision a
decision is when you cut off any other possibility you commit to something with
everything you've got and you take action but the big decisions start with
little decision like what am I going to focus on is whatever you focus on you're
gonna feel you focus on all the things that had
been done to you in your life of course you're gonna feel like hell if you focus
on all the amazing coincidences that have happened things that maybe they
were guided maybe thought but things happen and because of that you met this
person that's your best friend your husband your wife or because of that you
have this ability or because you were there that day God you missed an
accident I don't know what it is but what have you focused on you're gonna
feel if you focus on people don't care and you'll look for reasons why they
don't care and evidence they don't care you'll find it everywhere if you look
for evidence that people are really good people inside that at some level we all
care about each other you'll find it seek and you shall find the secret is
have you become conscious about your decision-making because this
breakthrough session is really you want to change your life make no choices new
life comes from new choices but you gotta make conscious choices where you
make decisions about what to focus on or what things mean what to do and your
unconscious you get pretty terrible results usually now we've all done this
I do it still we all do that if you want to change your results you got to become
more conscious in your decision-making so think about it what you focus on you
will feel whether it's true or not you focus on our people don't care you're
gonna feel they don't care the second decision you make is whether
things mean so you focus on something someone does and you come up with a
meaning and the meaning is no one loves me the meaning is they're tending to
take advantage of me depending on what meaning you come up with and you get to
choose the meaning of anything for some people they say this situation happened
with the economy and what that means is I'm going broke somebody else said the
situation that more the economy guess what that means I'm gonna work harder
I'm gonna be more creative it changed everything everybody else is gonna quit
so we're gonna dominate the marketplace Clippy able to do it
is this the end right now or is at the beginning see whether it's the end of
beginning is your choice you get to decide cuz once you make up a meaning
it's true if you think if this is the end of a relationship are you gonna
treat people the same way as if you think it's the beginning of relationship
no way in fact I tell people if you want to have a great relationship think about
this treat people like you did in the
beginning of the relationship and there will be an end the meaning we give
things is very different and so we feel different in our life is different in
the beginning you'll do anything for someone now you make up a new meaning
why should I have to do that for them little choices like what to believe
about yourself what to believe about other people whether this is the end of
the beginning start to affect your whole life and the third decision we make we
decide with the focus on most of us unconsciously we decide what things mean
and the third thing we decide is what are we gonna do we decide to quit
because it's overwhelming we decide to get strong and focus we decide we're
gonna turn it around we decide to wait and see ultimately your destiny is
determined by what you do your destiny is determined by your
decisions I think in life there's three things there's our ability to choose
what we're focused on there to commit to get a result to put all our intention
and focus into something there's our ability to do the right
things to have the right strategy to execute and then there's some grace
there's what some people call luck some people call grace there's if you do the
right things over and over again and with total focus sometimes you know you
get good fortune that comes your way and you tend to have more good fortune when
you're totally focused and decisive and you take lots of action than if you kind
of just sit around and accept things like but you don't have a future we
forget that you don't have to be famous to have the ability to change at least
your own personal history to change the direction we go in our life we have the
power to choose even if you haven't before you can finally say no more I
won't put up with that within myself or from anybody else and here's what I'm
going to do differently that's where the breakthroughs really start to happen now
the question is why do some people stand their ground and make something change
versus other people just kind of accept things why do some people make bold
decisions and other people make decisions that are based on trying to
hang on to what they've got because when you can change your decisions you can
change your life then you can change the force that controls your decisions you
can change anything in your life
they'll find five reasons that empower you why is it that you deserve your goal
what are the five reasons that you won't give up when life catch you on the
blindside when the messenger of misery visits you what are you going to do what
will keep you in the game when life knocks you to the canvas see the Buster
Douglas that fought in the last fight was not the Buster Douglas that fought
Mike Tyson see the Buster Douglas that got knocked down while fighting Mike
Tyson had gotten out of an alcohol recovery center his mother had died his
wife was ill with a terminal illness he was considered a nothing of balm so when
he got knocked down Buster Douglas had a reason to get back up because he said
I'm dedicating this fight to the memory of my mama but when he fought the last
fight that he had and he got knocked down and he had a guaranteed 24 million
dollars in his pocket where he got up enough
he just said hurry up and count me out
and I don't blame you why can't hurt said no why'd you leave so soon
somebody's about to get hurt me so you've got to have some reasons that
when life knocks you down that's gone to hell oh it's going to knock you down
when people disappoint you and that's going to happen when they betray you and
that's going to happen when they lied to you and that's gonna happen and say oh
you can count on me and they won't show up and that's going to happen when you
want to throw in the towel and give up yourself and that's gonna happen when
life collapse on you and catch you on the Blind Side it drops you to your
knees to start showing you you got a dream though I got no dream and that's
gonna happen what reason can you remember that you can call on that you
can reach on that can make you get back up find that reason because your life it
lock me down I said life I'm doing this because I want to make my momma proud of
me I'm doing this because I want my
children to have a better life than what I had
I'm doing this because all my life I've been told I'd be a loser that I wouldn't
make it all my life I heard people said made me take him back to the welfare
department I'm doing this to make them a la I believe like Frank Sinatra he said
the best revenge in life is massive success I'm doing this so I can become
massively successful and with that kind of courage with that kind of affirmation
and reason to empower me I got a saying that when life knocks you down try and
land on your back because if you can look up you can get off
so when you run out of money when things don't work out for you when things
happen that you could not anticipate what are the reasons that you can think
of that can keep this strong that can keep you in the game that will be your
rod and staff to comfort you that can be your bridge over troubled waters those
reasons a very important Nietzsche said if you know the why for living you can
endure almost any how so find out the reasons that you do what you do find out
the reasons that will make you strong that will make you walk by faith and not
by sight then we'll make you pursue your dream and everybody is against you or
don't believe in you no more and let me tell you something that's a lonely
feeling it's a lonely feeling particularly people that you're doing it
for or people that stand to benefit the most or people who should be the number
one members in the encouragement Club when they end up saying you can't do it
and they become members of the discouragement Club oh it hurts very
badly I know what that's like have people that you love close to you and
look at you with that look and say why don't you try something else why don't
you give up I said but this is my life I have got to do this less you had a good
job at Sears that man like you mama I can't go back you see I can't I can't do
I got to be my own boss I I can't do that I mean you know it's it's ladies
and gentlemen you don't you work on a job that's dead in you can see the
ceiling already it's like going in the middle of a movie and after you've seen
the movie sitting back through that over again there's something missing you know
the hero's not gonna die you know what the outcome is already and so that's why
a lot of people lady was telling me she said when she went to work stuff like a
refrigerator fell on her shoulder as soon as she stepped in because she knew
she could she had gone as far as she could go see they're paying her just
enough to keep her from quitting and she's worked just hard enough just to
keep from getting fired how many of you know people like that raise your hand
love you didn't raise your hand you the world
I'll just ease without your speed all right here's something else make a
commitment to be happy see you know I'll have you're laughing a
lot see life is too short going through a look at home lit side of the day
sometimes we take life too seriously oh no make a commitment to be happy fine
little things just to get tickled about and laugh find ways to be happy in the
moment a lot of people say well I'll be happy when I pay off all my bills
oh I'll be happy when I get my divorce oh I'll be happy with the children guard
oh you want to be happy now see there are no guarantees no one say you're
gonna be here two three or four years from now so you want to be happy right
now in the moment repeat after me I must make a commitment
to be happy right now right now it's all I got
take somebody's hand on your right and left it's that you deserve to be happy
make a commitment to be happy because life now has new meaning for you just
enjoying the sunset or just looking at life looking at nature going for walk
it's the little things in life that counts
here's something else that you want to begin to do in order to make this your
decade if you want to begin to get all the toxic people out of your life hello
energy drainers get them out of your life see ladies and gentlemen it takes a
lot of energy to reach your goal takes a lot of emotional mental and spiritual
energy to reach your goal and you can run faster with a hundred who want to go
than with one around your neck so there are two kinds of relationships in Simon
talked about this nourishing relationships and toxic relationships
nourishing relationships are the relationships that inspire you they
motivate you they bring the best out of you
toxic relationships are relationships with people that always criticize you
all they can do is find for all they can do is just exploit your weaknesses all
they can do is remind you of the mistakes that you've made in the past
these people are bad for your health toxic people can run your blood pressure
up one apple can spoil the whole barrel one negative integrator energy drainer
can spoil your whole life I know people who lives have been run
because somebody wasn't good for them see there's some people that aren't good
for you hello they aren't good for you've got to get them out of your life
see a lot of people put up with a lot of foolishness because they don't want to
die by themselves here's what I believe I believe in a 1/2 a box theory
as this question of yourself make a list of who you communicate with most and ask
yourself the question what kind of person am i becoming because of this
relationship does it helping me to grow mentally and emotionally and spiritually
am i becoming a better person because of this relationship do they bring out the
best in me do they inspire me do they encourage me to develop my greatness do
they make me stretch so you got to look at the people in your life and find out
what kind of person are you becoming because of that relationship my mother
used to say birds of a feather flock together you run around with losers you
will end up a loser

How to Install LED Headlight Bulbs in Your Car (LED vs Halogen) - DIY with Scotty Kilmer - Duration: 3:29.

it's time for mechanics Monday, welcome to my new segment mechanic Monday, every

you just twist it to the side, and it comes right out, then you just unplug it,
and plug the new one back in,
just goes back into the hole, snaps in, and you turn it until it locks, and as you
can see, it's got one, two, three strong LEDs in it, so it does full coverage it's
not one of these jobs were it's got one or two when it's bouncing all over the

look at the difference, this has the LED, where the other side still has the
halogen, just look you can tell how much brighter it is, and of course do the other side
too, and snap it into the hole too and twist it until it locks, and here we are in a
day time, you can see it's nice and brighter, but of course the real test is
the night time, so now we got to wait until it gets dark, and here we go, here's
the new LED lights, we can see how bright they are when they're turned on, and
here's the conventional halogens that it came with, the factory ones, you can tell
the difference, headlamps burn pretty hot, let's see what the temperature is with this temperature tool,
go down here and measure it, it's over eight hundred and
sixty-seven degrees, now let's check the temperature of these LED headlights
instead, there are only 128 degrees, the LEDs run so much cooler they're not
going to warp the plastic, they're not going to make it get cloudy, I love using these
LED replacement bulbs, and since they run cooler, of course they're going to use a
lot less energy, that's why they use LED in a lot of modern cars, it's for more
efficiency, and remember to have a chance to win these tools, just post a nice
clean non-offensive comment in a YouTube comments below, and the winner will be
picked randomly by a computer, and since entropy is the end state of
all matter, that's a fair way to pick a winner,
thanks for watching this video and good luck in the contest, so if you never want to miss
another one of my new car repair videos remembering to ring that Bell!

Have you got requested songs from the viewers?
Yes, my FB friend Dong-seok Ahn made a request.
He is a poet who writes romantic poems often
Ahn is a common family name for artists
He actually is a teacher at school
writing a poems is his hobby
He's very kind and a romantic guy
When he was in college
There was this cute little girl in the class
They had some feeling for each other
That's a cute expression.
'Tiny as a sparrow?' That must be a girl
He had never listened to pop music until then
She gave him a letter and a music tape
Oh a tape!
They used to record songs on tape at record shops
and you would pay for it
It usually includes various songs
This is one of the songs from the tape she gave
This is the first song he ever liked
He listens to it sometimes even these days
Of course, the reality is different from the lyrics
I'm curious about the girl
Because of the fact that someone put effort into it and paid just for him
The tape must have other songs as well
I'd like to know how she's doing now
What was the name of the song again?
Changing partners sung by Patti Page
A requested song by Mr. Ahn
We were waltzing together
to a dreamy melody
When they called out "Change Partners"
And you waltzed away from me
Wow, this song portrayed the dancing scene so well
Old songs seem to be cute
Patti Page's songs are very popular especially for older generations
It's my first time to listen to it tho^^;
The title doesn't seem to match with the lyrics
It says 'I will never change partners again'
When I looked at the title, I thought it might not be appropriate
Because he is married already
I was worried a bit
Anyway, Mr. Ahn
He must be a romantic guy
He STILL is~
People say, guys hide their first love deep in their heart
even after 30 years passed
When he requested a song
This is what he picked
He didn't pick any songs for his wife, did he?
Oh! (LOL)
Oops^^;
I feel panicked for him;;;
Please subscribe my channel. Thanks^^
