Youtube daily report Jan 22 2018

'We will face them' WW3 fears as China's troops descend on border

"We will face them" Indian general Troops are continuing to advance on Doklam, on the border with India, raising fears that Beijing is readying an invasion force.

New images show concrete posts, seven helipads, new trenches and several dozen armoured vehicles close to the point where the Indian Army and the People's Liberation Army troops were locked in a 72-day confrontation last year.

The territory is contested by China and Bhutan, with India keeping a keen eye on the situation. India has said their troops will step in if it feels the Chinese Army is trying to disrupt the "status quo".

Army chief General Bipin Rawat said: "The PLA soldiers are there in a part of the area, although not in the numbers that we them initially. "They have carried out some infrastructure development which is mostly temporary in nature.

"But we are also there. So, in case they come, we will face them." An Indian army official added: "Our troops, atop the watershed that dominates Doklam, are much better placed in terms of terrain.

"We are in a wait-and-watch mode, prepared for any eventuality .". India caused tensions to rise between the two nations and Pakistan, when it successfully fired off an ICBM.

Tensions between themselves and Pakistan are said to be at an all time low, with troops from both armies firing on each other.

Announcing the 2018 #BooktubeSFF Awards | [CC] - Duration: 8:08.

hey guys so I am here today to announce something very exciting, and that is the

return of the Booktube SFF awards which is an awards that I've participated in for the

past few years it's one that I love it's one that you guys love and it's one that

we want you to get involved with. If you've never heard of it before I will

link some videos from the previous Awards for you to go and check it out

but basically it's our version, the booktube version, of the Hugo's and this

year it is bigger it is better it is shinier and it's very exciting. In the

past few years we've had a couple of consistent judges throughout and then

we've added some new ones this year so I'm gonna tell you each of the judges

who will be participating I'm also gonna tell you all of the categories that

there are to nominate in and speaking of nominations today is the day the

nominations are open from today the 22nd of January but they will close on the

4th of February so you need to get your nominations in quickly, so, if you are

interested in nominating and enjoying the booktube SFF content that's

going to be coming your way as part of the awards, listen up. The first thing to

note is that booktube SFF is a community-driven thing so we really

really do need you guys to participate by nominating your favourites. There are

lots of different categories and this year we have introduced a new category

so we're really really excited about that and we've also split up science

fiction and fantasy into their own categories so I'm gonna run through the

different categories and tell you what they are so that you can start thinking

of ideas which books from 2017 do you guys want to nominate in the categories?

So, the categories are: Best Fantasy (which is an adult novel), Best Science Fiction

(which is an adult novel), Best YA (this can be sci-fi/fantasy or anything in the

speculative fiction genres), Best Middle-Grade (which was our new category

last year, and it's one that we're keeping for this year), Best Graphic Work,

Best Short Work (all of these need to come under the SFF

label so speculative in some way), and then our new category that we are adding

this year is, Best Debut, which I'm really really excited about, and this is going

to be novels only. The way that this works is that we need you guys to

nominate your favourites from each of these categories you can do this via a

google form which I will link below. It's very simple so all you've got to do

is put in your email and put in your submissions and then read all of the

rules because there are lots of rules that you guys need to be aware of. The

main rules that you need to be aware of are that the book has to be published in

English in 2017 so it could be America could be UK but as long as it was

published in English somewhere in the world it's fine. It also has to have come

out in 2017 it needs to be part of the speculative fiction genres. Some of the

new rules that we've added this year so that we don't get too many series coming

up every single year is that we cannot have more than the first three books in

a series you can nominate book one, book two, or book three but you could not

nominate book four if there was a fourth one in the series it has to be one, two

, or three this is to save people time if they want to read the books and we're

hoping that we'll cut out some of the things we've had repeating in previous

years. The other rule that we've introduced is that no one author can

have multiple positions on the shortlist so for example Brandon Sanderson could

not have two spots in a single category he would only be able to have one spot

so choose wisely when you have authors who brought out multiple things what do

you want to nominate by them especially if they have two books in the same year

under the same category then do choose wisely which one you want to nominate.

Those are kind of the most essential rules that you need to know but I will

link all of the eligibility rules and nomination rules down below so that you

guys can have a read through if you're a bit unsure you can always ask me

questions, you can always tweet us, you can always ask one of the judges. The

other thing that we are changing this year is that we are making it so that

not every judge has to judge every category and this is because each judge

has their own specialism, so, we are making it so that everyone will judge

the two main categories which are adult science fiction and adult fantasy and

then each category after that will have five judges who will do a live show

discussing the merits and the cons of each book and finally they will award

the prize. We hope that's good with you guys, we think it's a really solid

plan and it will give people a bit more wiggle-room but also mean that you guys

get really good content in the live show so we're really excited it's gonna

definitely be a fun live show that's for sure. We have two new judges that's also

very exciting so the two new judges are the wonderful Frankie from Frankie reads

I will link her down below especially her Twitter and her Instagram where she

is most active and also we have the wonderful Rachel whose channel is Kalanadi

I absolutely love her channel she is fantastic fantastic she gives me so many

recommendations so we are very lucky to have both of these two new judges

joining us this year and I say joining us because there are multiple people who

are already involved in the awards so those people are: Sam from Thoughts on

Tomes; Sam from Sam's Nonsense; Thomas from SFF180; Connor from Connor O'Brien

Chelsea from The Reading Outlaw; Elena from Elena Reads Books; me (of course

from here) and then behind the scenes this year we also have Elizabeth from

Books and Pieces who is going to be doing all of the admin works so she is a

star we are very grateful to have her behind the scenes doing all the good

admin stuff for you guys. The only other thing but I think I still have to

mention is that we will be doing booktubeSFF babbles again this year

which is a kind of community-driven project which we do every award season.

This means that you guys can get involved we give you a video topic and

you can make a video on a designated week for that topic which we're really

really excited about so the first topic which you may go ahead and make a video

for this week or next is: Nomination Ideas. We would love, love, love, love

for you guys to make us a video put the hash tag booktube SFF in it tweet it to

us or send us a message saying that you've uploaded it so that we can go and

check it out we can share it we would love that we would absolutely love that

so please do participate especially if you want to join booktube this is a

great opportunity to do that or if you already have a channel and you want to

just join in with booktube SFF but we would love that

so please do that you can also do it in a Twitter post

or in an Instagram post it's totally up to you just use the hashtag tweet us and

tag us and we will know it's there we would love that!!

So, speaking of social medias I will link all of the social media for all the

judges and the award itself down below including where you go to fill out the

nomination form that will be in the top line. Nominations are OPEN, so do that

ASAP. That is everything I think I think I've covered everything so fingers

crossed everything made sense if it didn't do message me I'm totally happy

to answer all your questions and I'm really excited about this it's gonna be

a really, really fun event. As time goes on we will tell you the shortlist we

will tell you the other babbles topics and we will tell you when the

dates of the live show are gonna be, and read alongs, and so on and so forth, but

this video is just to announce the nomination period is open! Get your

nominees in now! Thank you all so much for watching I hope you're as excited as

I am about this coming back I'm really really looking forward to it and I can't

wait to discuss it with you guys in the comments and see what you're all

nominating in a few weeks when the shortlist comes together! Thank you all

so much for watching, I'll see you very soon in my next video!

bye guys! xx

The Most Anticipated Movies Of 2019 - Duration: 7:42.

It's never too early to get excited for the next big blockbuster, right?

From a bevy of superheroes to re-imaginings of your favorite classics, clear your calendar

all the way through 2019, because here are just a few of the big-budget flicks you're

going to want to get on line for now.

Hellboy

Stranger Things star David Harbour will unveil his new take on Hellboy in January 2019, joining

director Neil Marshall for what's described as a gritty take on the original Mike Mignola

comics.

Harbour has said the movie will use a "darker tone" to differentiate itself from Guillermo

del Toro's adaptations, adding that it'll be more of "a character piece" about Hellboy's

struggle.

While Harbour's take on Hellboy looks spot on, the rest of the cast is also packed with

potential, including Milla Jovovich as the villainous Blood Queen, Ian McShane as Hellboy's

adopted father, and Sasha Lane as Alice Monaghan.

The movie also has signed Lost's Daniel Dae Kim to play comics favorite Major Ben Daimio.

The real question, however, is if there'll be pancakes.

Glass

M. Night Shyamalan continues his surprise superhero trilogy with Glass, a sequel to

2017's Split, whose final act unexpectedly tied in with 2000's Unbreakable.

The movie will bring back all the main players from both films, including Bruce Willis, Samuel

L. Jackson, James McAvoy, and Anya Taylor-Joy.

Details are still under wraps, and given how much Shyamalan loves twists, it'll probably

stay that way until the film's January 2019 release date.

Silver and Black

Sony's Spider-Man universe gets a female-led entry in February 2019 with Silver and Black,

headed by The Secret Life of Bees director Gina Prince-Bythewood, who also directed Marvel's

Cloak and Dagger pilot for Freeform.

She'll also assist with the script, alongside Thor: Ragnarok's Chris Yost.

The movie is set to follow Marvel's mercenary Silver Sable and the burglar Black Cat in

a pairing that Prince-Bythewood compares to Thelma and Louise.

The dark film will reportedly bring in the cyborg supervillain Gaunt, and his enforcers

Tarantula and Scorpion as the villains.

Yep, this guy.

"I beat Spider-Man!

Taken out by the one… the only…

Scorpion!"

Chaos Walking

Your next favorite YA adaptation will hit theaters in March 2019 with Chaos Walking,

a sci-fi adventure based on the trilogy by Patrick Ness.

The movie takes place on a planet where almost all the women have been killed off by a virus

and living creatures can hear each other's thoughts.

As the story begins, a young man played by Tom Holland meets a woman played by Daisy

Ridley... and she may have the key to unlocking the world's many secrets.

Though it's not as if Daisy Ridley as a girl with mysterious powers is much of a stretch.

The movie has an amazing supporting cast that includes Oscar nominee Demian Bichir, two-time

Golden Globe nominee David Oyelowo, Tony winner Cynthia Erivo, critical favorite Mads Mikkelsen,

and pop star Nick Jonas.

Mark your calendars now.

Dumbo

Disney has given a number of animated classics the live-action treatment, but one of the

most intriguing is Tim Burton's Dumbo, starring Colin Farrell as Holt, a former circus performer

whose life is turned upside down after he returns home from the war.

Holt teams up with circus owner Max Medici, played by Danny DeVito, to care for a newborn

elephant whose giant ears have already made him a laughingstock.

The movie's all-star cast also includes Michael Keaton, Alan Arkin, and Eva Green.

With Burton and a whole host of amazing actors on board, this should be a worthy retelling

of the classic tale when it's released in March 2019… probably without these guys.

The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle

Putting down his Iron Man helmet for a while, Robert Downey Jr. will put his stamp on the

legendary character of Doctor Dolittle in April of 2019.

The Voyage of Doctor Dolittle, like its predecessors, will also be based on Hugh Lofting's original

children's books.

The movie comes from a script by Syriana's Stephen Gaghan, who's also set to direct.

Plot details are unknown, but we can only hope Downey gets the chance to use his glorious

pipes should the movie end up being a musical like the 1967 original.

Aladdin

Guy Ritchie will reveal his "ambitious and non-traditional' take on Aladdin in May of

2019, with Mena Massoud taking on the title role alongside Power Rangers star Naomi Scott

as Jasmine, who landed their roles after beating out thousands of hopefuls in a worldwide casting

call.

The rest of the cast includes Will Smith stepping into Robin Williams' role as the Genie and

Marwan Kenzari playing the villainous Jafar.

The cast also includes Saturday Night Live's Nasim Pedrad and Into the Woods' Billy Magnussen.

We have trust in the Disney machine to make this a magical trip to the theater.

Cowboy Ninja Viking

Chris Pratt made a very quick journey from Parks and Recreation schlub to action hero,

and his big June 2019 outing will find the actor taking the lead in Cowboy Ninja Viking,

based on the Image Comics series of the same name.

This time, Pratt is a new kind of assassin who's able to combine the skills of three

legendary kinds of heroes.

It's been a long time in the making.

Pratt first signed on in 2014, but when he was unable to film due to his hectic schedule,

a couple directors dropped out, waylaying things further.

Still, with script work from Deadpool's Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick and The Hangover II's

Craig Mazin, this ridiculous premise has a pretty good shot at paying off.

When are ninjas NOT entertaining?

Top Gun 2

Maverick will be back in July 2019.

Oblivion director Joseph Kosinski is set to reunite with Tom Cruise for the long-awaited

Top Gun sequel, which will be set in the world of drone technology and fifth generation fighters—and

the end of the era of dogfighting.

Producer Jerry Bruckheimer is on board to return for the sequel, and while it's unclear

whether other actors from the original cast will be back, Val Kilmer has said he's ready

to step up should he get the call.

Artemis Fowl

Millions of readers remember Eoin Colfer's Artemis Fowl novels, or their graphic novel

adaptations, which followed precocious criminal mastermind Artemis through a series of fantastic

adventures around the globe.

The books are ripe for the film franchise treatment, with Kenneth Branagh set to direct

an adaptation, scheduled to arrive in theaters in August 2019.

While no casting announcements have been made yet, this looks like a family-friendly film

saga in the making.

Gemini Man

Will Smith fans have more than just Aladdin to look forward to in October of 2019.

The actor is also set to star in Ang Lee's Gemini Man as an aging assassin trying to

get out of the business.

Things get complicated when he has to fight against his own, much younger clone.

Gemini was first pitched to Disney over twenty years ago, but the execs had to wait until

visual effects could effectively change the age of the lead actor.

This promises to be a futuristic action thriller with a nifty twist—and twice as many Smiths

is never a bad thing.

Or is it?

"Sharks have been around for longer than trees.

That one's hard to believe, but it's actually true."

James Bond 25

Daniel Craig returns just one more time as James Bond in the character's 25th feature

film in November 2019.

Blade Runner 2049's Denis Villeneuve, Hell or High Water's David Mackenzie, and '71's

Yann Demange are reportedly the frontrunners to direct.

A lot about the movie is still being hammered out right now, but none of it threatens to

revoke 007's long-standing license to kill at the box office.

Wonder Woman 2

As the DCEU's highest-grossing film to date in the U.S., it makes sense that Warner Bros.

quickly ordered a sequel to Wonder Woman, set to be released in December of 2019.

The movie will also bring back director Patty Jenkins as co-writer.

While plot details have been kept tightly under wraps, Jenkins has said she'd like the

film to bring Diana to America after the events of Wonder Woman, and before Dawn of Justice.

The sequel is also reportedly said to have found a way to bring back Chris Pine, so look

forward to more action, fun, and maybe even a supervillain without a silly mustache.

#BooktubeSFF Awards Announcement | 2018 [CC] - Duration: 5:07.

Hello everybody, my name is Rachel and welcome to my channel Kalanadi!

Today the BooktubeSFF Awards return and i'm a judge this year, which is really

exciting! So nominations open up today, on January

22nd, and this is all the information you need to know. In case you are not

familiar with the BooktubeSFF Awards, they are a popular vote award arranged by the

BooktubeSFF community here on Booktube, to recognize Booktube's favorite works of

fantasy, science fiction, and speculative fiction from the previous year. This year

there are seven categories and they are: best science fiction novel, best fantasy

novel, best debut novel, young adult, middle grade, graphic work, and short work.

You may nominate a maximum of two works in any category and to be eligible those

works must fall into the science fiction, fantasy, or speculative fiction

genres, and they must be original works of fiction that were first published in

English in 2017. In previous years there has been some difficulty and

frustrations with the lack of variety on the shortlist from year to year, with

specific authors even dominating entire categories or a short list, so there are

two changes which are meant to address those problems and promote more variety with

nominations and the shortlist. So the first one of those changes is that you

may nominate two works by the same author in a category but on the final

shortlist only one work by a single author will be

considered. The second is for books in a series: you may nominate up to the third

book in a series but fourth, fifth, sixth books will not be considered. Now, this is

true for publication order so, for example, if a fourth book published in a

series is actually a prequel (so it would come first),

it is not eligible because it is the fourth in publication order. And now for

some information about timelines and judging. As I mentioned, nominations

opened today, January 22nd, and they will close on February 4th. So you have

about two weeks to make your nominations - go do the thing! The shortlist will be

announced on February 9th and readalongs for all the shortlisted works will run

from the end of February through the end of May. Final voting, winners, and the

judges live show will all happen in June. This year there are nine judges and two

of us are new - I'm one of the newbies, so hi, if you're new to me and I'm new to

you. Welcome! The other new judge is Frankie from Frankie reads and the other

seven are people that you've definitely seen before like Thomas from SFF 180, Sam

from Sam's Nonsense, the other Sam from Thoughts on Tomes, Kaitlin from Kitty G,

Elena from Elena Reads Books, Chelsea from TheReadingOutlaw -- I think I'm

probably forgetting somebody... and Connor O'Brien!

Everybody's channels are linked down below in the description, so definitely

go check people out if you haven't already. Judging this year will be a

little bit different. There will be five judges for every category, with the

exception of the best science fiction novel and best fantasy novel categories,

which will be judged by all nine judges. And finally for information you probably

want to know, the Babbles topics will be returning! If you're not familiar with

these, the Babbles are suggestions for discussion and recommendations that

everybody can participate in. You can view them as prompts for videos or blog

posts or however you want to engage and participate with everybody else in the

awards. They're a lot of fun to do and it's a great way to get to know other

people and connect and discuss and everything. The first Babbles topic will

be "Nomination Suggestions", so you can start on that right now,

and the remaining Babbles topics will be announced once they are finalized. And I

think that's pretty much it! I am very excited for the awards this year. I'm

excited because I will be judging and that will be very new for me, but also

with the rule changes, this year could just be really exciting and really

different with the shortlist and everything. For more information, the

nomination form with explanations for what's eligible in each category is

linked down below, and also links to the Goodreads group where

you can participate in all the discussions and readalongs, and the

website where more information will be appearing. I highly encourage everybody

to participate in this award if you want to. Please don't feel shy about

nominating things, even if you just have one work in one category that you feel

strongly about - nominate it. You do not need to submit a full ballot or anything

like that, it's really just about what are your personal favorites from the

year. So I hope to be talking to a lot of you in the future and until then, bye!

Politisi Malaysia Ini Sebut K-Pop Telah Merusak Pemikiran Generasi Muda - Duration: 1:13.

Thank you all

so much for watching, I'll see you very soon in my next video!

bye guys! xx
