Talking About The LGBTQ+ Community! - Duration: 7:01.

Hey guys! Welcome back to my channel, my name is TNT Land and today I'm going to be talking about

the LGBTQ community and I was going to record this video

for

Pride Month, but I couldn't get to

Actually recording it, so I'm going to be just doing it late

Also, I got a pride shirt during Pride Month. It's just this

rainbow here

so

Yeah, let's get on to the video. So I forgot let you guys know that I'm going to be talking about facts and

other things about the LGBTQ community

The first thing I'm going to be talking about is flags and there are a couple of flags in the LGBTQ community

and

I'm going to be talking about just a few of them because I don't really have enough time

to talk about all of them because there's a lot... so the first flag is

The rainbow flag whenever you think of the LGBTQ community

You usually would think about this flag as it says this is a rainbow flag so it has red orange

yellow green blue

indigo and violet

Sometimes it will even have pink so there are actually meaning to each colors of that flag

So I'm going to be telling you guys about what are the meanings of about the colors of the flag?

Okay, so I don't really remember the colors just off of my mind

so I have my computer here on my lap so that I can look at the

Meanings of the colors that I can let you guys know

So I might be looking down every so often

So the first color which is Red means life, Orange means healing

Yellow means sunlight and that one

makes senses it's yellow *awkward laugh*

green means

nature

turquoise can mean magic or art indigo means serenity and

Violet means spirit. So yeah, those are the colors of the rainbow flag and

There of course is the one with the pink on top

But I'm not going to be talking about that one in this video. The next flag I'm going to be talking about is be bisexual

Flag the bisexual flag has three colors

pink blue and a sort of purpley color from what I've gotten off of the

Internet the pink on the flag is supposed to represent

homosexuality so like gay and lesbian and the blue is supposed to represent heterosexuality, which is

Opposite gender or straight and

they put the two colors together to make the purple which makes it so that it's in the

middle of that so that's

Basically, what bisexuality is

You can go for either male or female

so yeah, so the next flag is the

transgender flag and

The transgender flag has five stripes one boom top one pink

Then a white and then a pink and then a blue again blue is supposed to represent

Male because it's what people believe is a boys color

The pink is supposed to mean girls cuz they think that's like what's supposed to be a girl's color

and then the white on the transgender flag is supposed to represent a

neutral color because white is a neutral color and it's supposed to represent like to be like

Neutral in like gender. So yeah, that's the transgender flag. Okay

so the next and final flag I will be talking about in this video is the

Asexual flag the asexual flag has a black gray white and purple

stripe on the

flag and

from what I have gotten off the intranet the black represents like asexuality and

the gray stripe is like the gray area between

Asexuality and non-asexuality the white

stripe means like non-asexual and

The purple stripe means community like the community of the asexuals

So yeah, that's the asexual flag. The next thing I'm going to be talking about is

same-sex marriage or gay marriage

so gay marriage was legalized in June 26 of

2015 and that's when the Supreme Court

Said basically that they were going to legalize same-sex marriage

So yeah, that's when

Same-sex marriage was legalized. Okay guys, that's the end of this video

I hope you enjoyed this video and I hope that you learn some new things about the

lgbtq+ community

and

Maybe you just learned some new things in general

Tyler Honeycutt: 5 Things On UCLA Basketball Player Found Dead After Shootout With LAPD - News Today - Duration: 4:15.

Former UCLA basketball and Sacramento Kings player Tyler Honeycutt was found dead following a shootout with police, and they now believe it was suicide

Learn more about the situation, and Tyler, here.    1. Police were called to a residence after he was reportedly "acting erratically

" It was Tyler Honeycutt's mother who called 911 around 5:00pm on Friday, June 6, out of fear for her 27-year-old son

When LAPD officers arrived on the scene in Van Nuys, California, he reportedly opened fire at the officers, who returned the shots

He then barricaded himself inside the home for hours, according to police. The surrounding area — at least 30 people — was evacuated

SWAT arrived to take over for the LAPD.    2. He was found dead of suspected suicide

Neither Tyler nor any officers were injured in the shooting, leading officers to believe that he killed himself

SWAT officers entered the residence around 3:30am Saturday, to find an "unresponsive male

" The LAPD later stated on Twitter that Tyler "appears to have sustained injuries consistent with a self-inflicted gunshot wound

 3. He was a massive star at UCLA and went on to the NBA. Tyler was named first-team all-Pac 10 as a sophomore at UCLA after two seasons on the team before declaring for the 2011 NBA draft

He was drafted by the Sacramento Kings with the 35th overall pick, and he played 24 games across two seasons before being traded to the Houston Rockets in 2013

Unfortunately, the Rockets waved him after less than a month.    4. He had been playing overseas since 2013, most recently for BC Khimki in Russia

BC Khimki released a statement on Twitter after Tyler's death, saying, "Players agent, Mr

Aaron Mintz, confirmed the death of Honeycutt. BC Khimki expresses its deepest condolences to Tyler's family and friends…Rest in peace, Tyler

Euroleague also posted about Tyler, saying in a statment on Twitter, "The Euroleague Basketball family expresses its sadness on the untimely passing of Tyler Honeycutt and offers condolences to his family, friends, teammates, coaches and many fans

May he rest in peace."  5. His former teammates are mourning his loss. Demarcus Cousins, who played alongside Tyler for the Kings, tweeted, "RIP Tyler Honeycutt…Prayers up for his family and friends

Rest easy bro!" Another former Kings star, Jason Thompson, wrote, "Wow. RIP to Tyler HoneyCutt

Former Teammate & Good Friend. Thoughts and Prayers to His Family! #GoneToSoon".

Tesla's Model 3 Gets Summon Feature - Duration: 2:14.

Tesla's Model 3 can now navigate itself into parking spots with the addition of the company's

Summon feature, the electric car maker has confirmed in a tweet.

According to Tesla, Summon can move the Model 3 up to 39 feet or until its ultrasonic sensors

detect an obstacle in its path.

CEO Elon Musk adds that in the video above, nobody is sitting in the driver's seat or

controlling it remotely.

With the ability to control garage doors, Summon can be useful if you're, say, at a

house party and your Tesla is blocking somebody else's car from leaving.

Or, more likely, it'll be used to impress your friends as your shiny, new electric car

slowly beckons towards you, lap-dog style, in an empty parking lot.

In an email, a Tesla spokesperson told The Drive that Summon was part of the Model 3's

2018.24 software update that started rolling out to owners on June 20.

The feature is already present on the Model S and Model X as demonstrated here:

On Monday, we reported on Tesla finally achieving its goal of building 5,000 Model 3 vehicles

per week, building exactly 5,031 units in the last seven days of the second quarter.

To date, Tesla has reportedly delivered 28,386 Model 3s with approximately 420,000 orders

still to be fulfilled.

Late last month, Tesla opened up the order process for reservation holders.

While the order called for an additional $2,500 deposit to be paid towards the purchase price,

prospective Model 3 owners would finally choose the exact color and spec they'd like their

car and were promised delivery in as little as two to four months.

ASMR - TRIGGER after shower for BED -Time! Test of the Industry Standard Mic! АСМР - Duration: 24:10.

Hey.

You're feeling all fresh this evening?

Are you maybe like me just fresh out of the shower?

In your warm, fresh bed.

With fresh blankets and pillows!

It is such a great feeling to have it all nice around before sleep.

I thought today you need a little more than that to fall asleep.

So I prepared a little microphone test with different triggers.

Because I figured you want to see how my new microphones work.

The so called industry standard. Those are supposed to be the best mics.

Or at least they are relativelly good.

So we are going to try out different things today.

I have got those brushes.

I also have other windscreens.

And I am going to exchange them to try out different trigger.

So we have those here.

And we can try the microphones completelly withought windscreens.

It is probably more breathy and will react different to brushes.

I think it is going to be interesting.

So let's start,

Ok the trigger that I prepared is a little different.

I have this empty box.

I am going to put it over the mic like this.

Let's continue with this set up and a few brushes.

So I am just going to start.

Wow this sounds amazing!

So now I a trying to whishper into them with no windscreen.

It's the very first test.

I didn't try it before.

I can hear it a little in my ears but it is always a little different on the computer.

So it is hard to say what it will sound like.

I think if I speak like this the difference shouldn't be big.

But when I come closer it should be harder for the mic to hanle that.

So I think I prefere to speak on the longer side of the mic.

Because this here is maybe a little too sensitive.

I think the brushes sound amazng.

I think I like is even more than with the windscreen.

Ok I think I like this really a lot.

Maybe not on the sensitive side but on the length of it.

Let's try both.

Ok ths is soo soft!

And my whisper should be softer too now!

It seems to me that those sounds are the best to fall asleep.

Sounds for tingles and sounds for sleep are different.

Let me just go through it with my fingertips.

As if I'd scratch your scalp.

Amazingly relaxing and calming feeling.

And such a soft and warm whispering.

Please tell me how you like the whispering the most.

As if I scratch your head.

I have those brushes.

Doesn't look like brushes first.

But it is like magic.

They are are extra made to brush the whindscreens.

You could imagine that I brush your hair.

Those screens are probably a little more difficult to brush.

It is a little more like scratching.

Are you relaxed already?

I hope you are asleep!

But if not - I have a few favorites here.

It doesn't make much sense to change windscreens for that.

So I am just going to keep those here for a while.

Trying just a few different sounds.

This is the next one.

On this screen it is a little louder.

You can even use it for your hair.

THis here is the loudest.

The softest were those here.

And those are the middle loud.

With no windscreen it is just the loudest.

Now we are going to haveone of my favorites.

And you can already hear it is terrible with no windscreen.

This is already better.

This is perfect! Nothing goes through!

Just like the whisper here also sounds the softest.

Now let's use them to stroke over the windscreens.

I think that is my favorite sound today.

This is the loudest.

I think this should be enough for today.

I hope you could relax and liked this little test.

And I wish you very good dreams now.

The Most Dramatic Transformations Ever Seen On My 600-lb Life - Duration: 5:17.

For years, viewers have watched TLC's My 600-Pound Life, witnessing morbidly obese patients completely

transform their bodies and lives.

The patients all start out hundreds of pounds overweight, with the devastating health and

emotional problems that come with that.

But all of them have something in common — a desire to change.

Dr. Nowzaradan - or "Dr. Now," as his patients call him - is a bariatric surgeon who performs

weight loss surgeries and coaches his patients along the road to a healthy weight.

While most patients on the show lose weight, here are some of the most stunning success

stories to be chronicled on My 600-Lb Life.

Amber Rachdi

At age 23, Amber Rachdi appeared on the show, weighing 657 pounds and saying that she felt

like a, quote, "nasty, yucky monster."

"I don't like being this person.

I don't like being this size."

Her legs carried a great deal of her weight, and, as a result, she said she couldn't stand

for more than 30 minutes at a time.

After undergoing gastric bypass surgery with Dr. Now, she ended up getting down to 377

pounds within a year — but she didn't stop there.

She ultimately lost over 400 pounds and kept it off, profiling her journey with glamorous

pinup-style selfies on Facebook and Instagram.

Brittani Fulfer

At only 5 feet, 1 inch tall, Brittani Fulfer started out weighing 605 pounds.

She was so motivated to change that she and her husband moved to Texas in order to be

near Dr. Now's office, where she underwent weight loss surgery.

According to Women's Health magazine, she lost almost 400 pounds and dropped down to

222 pounds.

She told the magazine that she is cherishing every moment of her new life, saying that

she had, quote, "no idea [her] life was going to be this amazing."

Melissa D. Morris

Starting her journey at 653 pounds, Melissa D. Morris was forced to ride around in a scooter

to carry out basic tasks like grocery shopping.

After undergoing weight loss surgery, she dropped down to a stunning 157 pounds!

And to make things even sweeter, after 12 years of trying to get pregnant, she finally

became a mom, welcoming three children over the years.

Speaking to TLC in 2017, Melissa shared some advice for people who might want to change

their lives like she did, saying,

"I advise others that the first step towards a healthier life is identifying what you're

doing wrong.

You must first figure that out because you cannot fix what you don't acknowledge."

Christina Phillips

At only 22 years old, Christina Phillips weighed 673 pounds.

According to her, she only left the house at 3 a.m. when she was unlikely to see people.

"I'm trapped inside this body that I don't wanna be in."

With the help of Dr. Now, Phillips had weight loss surgery and experienced a shocking transformation.

In fact, her weight loss ended up being so fast and so extreme that the doctor advised

her to gain 15 pounds in order to be at a more healthy weight.

In 2017, she told Women's Health that she weighed in at 171 pounds and said,

"My life has changed so much since the weight loss!

I can do things I never imagined possible…

I've been able to try indoor skydiving.

[…] [And] I can walk miles without getting tired."

Nikki Webster

At 649 pounds, Nikki Webster's weight was affecting her career in costume design.

Luckily, she had strong support from her family, and she was able to undergo gastric bypass

surgery with Dr. Now.

"That's 455 lb weight loss."

"That number is breathtaking to me."

In 2017, she told People magazine,

"It's hard to imagine now how I used to live.

It's just become so vastly different.

[…] It has been the hardest two years of my life, but it's been the most victorious

and exciting."

In 2018, Nikki revealed on Facebook that she'd gotten married, writing,

"I kind of got married.

He's the absolute best, and I honestly couldn't be more happy...It's been a busy few months."

Paula Jones

When Paula Jones decided to lose weight, she had a tragic yet powerful motivation — her

husband had passed away from weight-related complications, weighing over 600 pounds.

A year later, Jones herself weighed 542 pounds and worried that she too would suffer a life-threatening

complication from obesity, leaving her four children on their own.

Jones moved her family from Georgia to Texas in order to have surgery with Dr. Now.

According to Woman's World, she experienced amazing results, ultimately losing 400 pounds!

The mag reported that her relationship with her kids has also improved, with Jones saying,

"I can be more active with them.

I've learned how to be emotionally healthy as well as physically healthy."

We Probably Can't Save the Vaquita—But We Can Learn From Them - Duration: 6:21.

[♪INTRO]

Who among us would not have loved to catch a glimpse of the shy, dog-like Tasmanian tiger

at night?

Or seen the impressively tubby dodo waddling along?

But we can't.

These stunning creatures are now extinct … because of us.

Today is International Save The Vaquita Day, where people around the world are hoping to

'make a last stand against extinction'.

This is because while extinction does happen naturally, scientists estimate that our actions

have sped up the rate of die-out by 100 times or more.

Right now, there are more than 25,000 species considered vulnerable, endangered, or critically

endangered, like the vaquita — an adorable, tiny little porpoise.

Whether we like it or not, we can't save all of those—and that probably includes

the vaquita.

But hopefully, by looking at species on the brink, we can learn how to keep others from

reaching that point of no return.

The vaquita should be found swimming the Gulf of California in Mexico.

But if you want to jump on a boat in the hopes of spotting one, you're out of luck.

Conservationists estimate that there are less than 30 left.

That's because between 1997 and 2015, their numbers dropped by 92 percent.

At this rate, they'll be gone within a decade—perhaps even by the end of this year.

Vaquitas were listed as vulnerable in 1986 because of their limited range and the threat

posed by gillnet fishing.

That's a style of fishing where large, vertical nets are hung in the water to ensnare animals

as they attempt to push through the mesh.

Because of their small size, and similar size to the fish that the fisherman are actually

trying to catch, vaquitas often end up entangled, too.

In 1990, their status was changed to endangered, and then to critically endangered in 1996.

Despite that early warning, it wasn't until 2005 that the Mexican government created a

refuge where gillnets are banned.

And that wasn't enough to stop the decline.

So in 2013, incentives were given to switch shrimp fisherman to trawling instead, and

a temporary gillnet ban was enacted in 2015, which was made permanent in 2017.

The problem is, illegal gillnet fishing continues to this day because totoaba—a type of fish

that are also critically endangered—fetch a high price on the black market.

So in a last-ditch effort to save the vaquita, scientists have been trying to catch them

and put them in a special protective sanctuary for captive breeding.

But things aren't going well so far—one female even died in the process.

Plus, there's concern that there are already just too few of them to have enough genetic

diversity.

That's a measure of how much variation there is in the DNA of a species, and it's important

for avoiding the health consequences of inbreeding.

Captive breeding can be somewhat successful, like it has with the Amur Leopard.

But even then, there are challenges.

The Amur leopard is a subspecies that used to roam around southeastern Russia, the Korean

peninsula, and northeastern China, until poachers shot nearly all of them for their gorgeous,

thick, spotted fur.

Surveys in the late 1990s estimated that between 25 and 40 Amur leopards were left.

That ultimately led to the Russian government stepping in by creating a massive protected

area—called Land of the Leopard National Park—in 2012.

And just giving the leopards enough space has brought their numbers up some.

Officials announced that there were 84 adults in the wild in early 2018.

Which is great—except that some geneticists fear they're too inbred to truly recover.

Luckily, captive breeding has been effective, as more than 220 Amur leopards live in institutions

worldwide.

There's just one catch … and it's a pretty big one, from a genetics point of view.

They are not purebred Amur leopards.

The captive population started with just 9 wild leopards, two of which were most likely

a similar-looking Chinese subspecies.

And that injection of non-relatives means the captive population actually has more variation

in its DNA than the wild one.

But, they're not exactly Amur leopards anymore—some geneticists would argue they're something

new, which is what makes this kind of interbreeding, even for conservation, extremely controversial.

If the captive bred leopards are reintroduced into the wild population, pure Amur leopards

could disappear completely.

But if they're kept separate, the wild population may not recover at all, or may be too inbred

to be viable long term.

It's a tough call either way.

The leopards are lucky, though, that they've got some room for growth in that big park—Javan

rhinos are in a similar position, but they don't have that luxury.

Ujung Kulon National Park in Indonesia has 40 to 60 rhinos.

Poaching for horns was one of the biggest factors in this species' demise, but now

there are Rhino Protection Units patrolling the park to protect them.

The trouble is, Ujung Kulon cannot fit any more rhinos.

Already, they're packed in so tightly that scientists fear diseases could spread quickly

enough to speed their extinction.

And there are signs that's already happening, as bacteria from nearby cattle farms seem

to be making their way into the rhino population.

If that's not bad enough, there's also an invasive palm species overtaking the rhino's

preferred food plants, wreaking havoc on what little habitat they have.

The situation is so bad that scientists have admitted that they are at an impasse.

They're not sure if the rhinos can be safely relocated even if there was somewhere for

them to go.

And it's not clear if they would take to captive breeding or what such a program would

need to look like to work—or if there are already too few of them for it to matter.

Like with Amur leopards and the vaquita, any efforts to save the rhinos might just be too

little too late.

These are heartbreaking stories, with a hard lesson.

Stopping the extinctions we're causing means acting early, not waiting until things are

dire and hoping a Herculean effort will save the day.

Perhaps if gill nets were banned sooner, vaquitas wouldn't be on the brink of extinction now.

Or if Land of the Leopard National Park had been created decades earlier, genetic diversity

wouldn't have been a concern.

But conservation, like lots of areas of science, is tricky — partly because it's not just

about the animals.

Protecting species also means finding a way to resolve conflicts between them and us.

Like, how to make space for the Javan rhino without taking away the livelihoods of neighboring

farmers and their families.

The power of hindsight lets us see where things went wrong for these species, and it gives

us clues as to how we might avoid making the same mistakes going forward.

Thanks for watching this episode of SciShow!

While conservation is hard and we probably can't save everything, there are some species

that we've brought back from the brink—you can learn more about them in our episode on

7 species we have saved from extinction.

The moment when Bettina Hoy lost 2 gold medals in Show Jumping | Strangest Moments - Duration: 3:54.

In blazers, breeches and top hats,

equestrian competitors at the Olympic Games

are the best-dressed athletes in the village...

but in Athens in 2004, blazers were burning

and there were holes being punched through the top hats.

During a mad few days, the civilised surroundings

of the show-jumping arena hosted a bizarre tug-of-war.

At the centre of the unfortunate shenanigans -

Bettina Hoy and her horse, Ringwood Cockatoo.

The 41-year-old bronze medallist

from the 1984 Olympic Games

was denied two gold medals 20 years later

after committing a rookie's mistake.

What did Hoy do wrong?

Here it is.

Watch closely.

Did you see it?

No, most people didn't -

and that's why it caused such an almighty ruckus.

Eventing at the Olympic Games takes place in three stages -

a day for dressage...

a day for cross-country...

and then a day for show-jumping,

where the pressure is at its peak.

It's all about making the fewest mistakes.

Take a misstep? Receive a penalty.

Knock over a fence? Receive a penalty.

Take too long to complete the course? Receive a penalty.

Stay clean? You're going to do well.

Hoy was superb in the dressage,

and got better after the cross-country...

..and then she was outstanding

in the first round of show-jumping.

Except for that one mistake.

Let's go back to the start of Hoy's round,

and that moment that seemed so harmless.

That blue marker you see there, to the left of the tree -

that's the start line.

And when Ringwood Cockatoo canters past it,

the automatic timer starts...

..but Hoy wasn't ready to start her round right then.

She was still steadying herself,

making one last loop

before beginning her gold medal charge.

It meant that as Hoy was

making her perfect way around the course,

she was actually running 14 seconds late.

She thought she had won...

..and then that tug-of-war started.

The judges told Hoy and her team that they hadn't.

Hoy and her team appealed.

They said she didn't know the clock had started.

Someone in the arena had set it back to zero.

The appeals committee reversed the judges' decision,

and Germany had their gold.

Hoy then went round the show-jumping course again

to compete for gold in the individual event -

and again, she was outstanding,

and again she thought she'd won gold.

She even picked it up from

Great Britain's Princess Anne...

but then France, Great Britain and the United States appealed

against the appeal,

and the Court of Arbitration for Sport said,

"No more appealing".

The penalty points stood -

Hoy and Germany were stripped of the medals.

It meant gold for France in the team event

and gold for Britain's Leslie Law in the individual.

The Germany team went from first to fourth,

to first to fourth.

In the individual,

Hoy went from first to eighth and back again.

Bettina Hoy said she is not bitter.

"Everyone said to me,

"You had the best performance on the three days

"and you will be remembered for that -

"but I don't have the medals to prove it".
