Give Bhagavad Gita A Chance - 7 (2.3) - Duration: 3:56.
Let's see the next stanza in chapter 2. This is also in response to what Arjuna was observing
earlier. But it can be taken a continuation of the previous stanza
कुतस्त्वा कश्मलमिदं so for that it can be a continuation so
you can consider that as the opinion of Krishna on what Arjuna has said earlier
and now in this stanza you can see that Krishna is telling what Archana should
do. I am reading the sloka
क्लैब्यं मा स्म गम: पार्थ
नैतत्तवय्युपपद्यते
क्षुद्रं हृदयदौर्बल्यं
त्यक्त्वोत्तिष्ठ परन्तप
I am reading it again
क्लैब्यं मा स्म गम: पार्थ
नैतत्तवय्युपपद्यते
क्षुद्रं हृदयदौर्बल्यं
त्यक्त्वोत्तिष्ठ परन्तप
क्लैब्यं मा स्म गम: क्लैब्यं means impotence impedance or inactivity feeling weak
like that. You so don't allow that to come on to you
Partha, Arjuna he says. And he further says
न एतत् त्व्यि उपपद्यते
न एतत् त्व्यि उपपद्यते
It means this does not match your capabilities. It does not match her ability and all that so
you can see the meaning here also न एतत् त्व्यि उपपद्यते is what Krishna says
And after that he says
क्षुद्रं हृदयदौर्बल्यं
see this petty weakness of the mind क्षुद्रं means pretty small and it is a
small string that is binding you like that so क्षुद्रं
हृदयदौर्बल्यं त्वक्त्वा leaving it
उत्तिष्ठ परन्तप please rise to the occasion
उत्तिष्ठ means be wakeful and rise for the occasion
परन्तप oh Arjuna.o Krishna is calling Arjuna in this sloka
two times, addressing पार्थ once and परन्तप next and it between should be doing he is telling
So he is telling basically you understand now that don't
give room for impotence or inactivity laziness feeling weak and all that and
he says you know it does not match your capabilities and further he says please
come out of the small very weak हृदयदौर्बल्यं mental sickness or mental attachment and
उत्तिष्ठ rise to the occasion parantha bah this is the meaning so you
can understand in the previous sloka just it was observation opinion of Krishna to
what Arjuna said and in this he is telling that act and outreach.
I am reading the sloka once again
so thank you very much and Hare Krishna

Fred H. Turner remembers 1918 - Duration: 3:47.
y'all set okay fine so you're running it but I'm talking with Dr. Fred Turner
Dean of Students for the University of Illinois, and we're going to discuss some
of the facts and the history of the university. In August of 1918 came the
announcement from the War Department they would in the fall have the students
Army Training Corps which was a well this was something like the ASTP of the
Second World War and people who were freshmen coming into the university
could enlist in the service and enter as privates in the army and be being
actually on enlistment of $30 a month but be going school too and this was the
way I entered and we were in uniform we drilled lived a military life then went
to classes from 10 o'clock until till 5:00 and then had some free time for
study at night. Homecoming was started 1910 that was before I came of course. The first
year I was here they didn't have homecoming this was the war year and in
fact they played they played the game that was supposed to have been the
homecoming game with no one present because the flu epidemic was was in
process and they played it with locked gates the game was played on a Illinois
field we want anyone there I watched it through the gates I'd
had the flu and this was over and I went over and look through the holes in the
fence and watch the game play but there aren't anyone in the stands at all.
He did everything he could to know students and to get acquainted with them
but he he was a very kind man too kind really he was he was soft as far as money I
mentioned he was sharp financially at the same time he gave away as much as he
made I don't I don't really know how much money the Dean actually did give
to students just out of his own pocket.
Seeing him, he was a he was small right there dapper man and in a big office seemed to me
with a big desk in the administration building and he he was quite friendly
although not overly so he wasn't effusive he was he was just a pleasant
interested individual to talk to and he asked me what I wanted I told
him he gave me the answer and told me what to do and that was about all there was to
it. When the big flu epidemic broke out here on the campus and during that fall
I had it was had been moved out of the armory where most I was were living had
been moved into one of the fraternity houses and being missing from the role Dr.
Beard came to the room that I was in and who was with him George house they were
out checking on people Dean Clark someplace was in the neighborhood the
the three of them were out Dr. Beard and George Huff and and Dean Clark with people that were
working on this. In other words, these these men were the University of
Illinois. They they were all faculty members in their own rights and these
were highly respected men this I think is it's part of their greatness.
it's a long

Museums + Heritage Awards in conversation with Awards Chair, Diane Lees - Duration: 3:58.
my name's Diane Lees i'm Director General of the Imperial War Museums
and this year's chair of the panel of judges for the Museums and Heritage Awards
I think awards tend to be for those very big projects where there's been a
massive fundraising campaign and lots of builders on site and there is a big
opening moment and I think what these awards do is they recognize that
complete breadth of work so everything from the education programs to small
projects and communities so there's an opportunity for the sector to celebrate
what it does every day with huge quality and that huge focus on the audiences
I think for a project the most important thing is that that people tell us what
they've actually achieved and that they've described their project well so
what stands out is where you feel the passion of the organisation applying for
the award where you feel that they're proud of their success and that where it
looks like a collaborative effort where people have actually
answered the questions and brought all the data together
I think following the criteria to the letter so in past years I think we've
had some applications where people haven't been quite sure what category to
put it in so they've put they've done the same application and put it into
three different categories we can't judge the data we can't actually
distinguish the project against other ones so if we ask for data give us the data
I think because there are categories like projects on a limited budget
because there are volunteering categories I think that actually the
small museum stands as much if not a better chance than than the larger
bigger organisations because of course the the judges come from all of those
different sectors and we're probably tougher actually on the larger museums
because we expect them to be able to deliver things
I think it's all always quite difficult with a new category to know what our
incredibly creative sector is going to come up with but I think in creating
that celebration we wanted to recognize that there are lots of museums that are
working in completely different ways in communities they're working with
commissioning agencies in the NHS they're working with with other museums
but I think I I think from my perspective I'd quite like to see those
partnerships that aren't traditional in you know sort of museum to museum they
are actually about the way in which organizations are working in new ways to
kind of you know strengthen their position but again add value to the
communities that they serve
I think it's down to the museums to make the most of both the publicity that
comes with being shortlisted but also that really really serious moment if
your win if you win or your highly commended to make the most of the PR
opportunity that comes alongside that get your certificate or your
award on display for the public it's a very good stamp of quality but just make
sure that you make the most of telling everybody that you are an award winner
what we want to know is what is it how good was it and and prove it I think is
probably the three things that we would look for

What Would Happen If A Nuclear Weapon Hit The USA? - Duration: 7:10.
Hello Internet - and welcome back to the most inquisitive channel on YouTube - Life's
Biggest Questions - the place where our most prominent quality is that no hypothetical
scenario is ever out of reach - particularly when it comes to the tug-of-war of the geopolitical
landscape.
In fact - we kind of enjoy the challenge.
What's going on guys - as per usual, I'll be your disembodied floating voice Jack Finch
- as today we unhook the dossier, shuffle in our seat and politely cough - as we kindly
ask the powers that be not to hit that big red button - and cautiously ask the question,
What Would Happen If A Nuclear Weapon Hit The USA?
Roll the clip.
(0:59 - 1:09 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EHRLEMTsLyA)
As Robert Oppenheimer famously remarked after the first atomic bomb was detonated on July
16th 1945 in the Trinity Test at New Mexico - Now I am become Death, the destroyer of
worlds.
He knew it at the time that his groundbreaking work in theoretical physics would usher in
a terrifying new age of nuclear proliferation - a mass arms race to build it bigger, better
- and more destructive - and he was right.
The threat of mutually assured destruction still looms over our planet like a dark, foreboding
cloud - and we're sincerely hoping that it doesn't rain.
Before we figure out the weather report though - you know the drill by now Question-eers
- if you're a fan of this video, theoretical physics, atomic energy or just LBQ in general
- then be a dear and hit that thumbs up button - as well as that subscribe bell - so you
can stay up to date with our latest and greatest uploads.
If you'd like to get in touch with the creative team here at LBQ - then be sure to take a
peek at the info box down below.
On with the show.
Since the Cold War that was held between the United States and the former Soviet Union,
that tentatively ran between 1947 and 1991 - although some would say it's hard to deny
the fact that tensions still run deep to this day - the global lexicon shifted, and terms
like nuclear arms race, mutually assured destruction and doomsday clock crept their way into our
shared global language.
It would come after the looming memory of the U.S led atomic bombings of Hiroshima and
Nagasaki, that eventually lead to the final phase of World War II - and would form the
basis and rationale of the global nuclear arms race.
Now, there are more than eight countries that possess or declare possession of a nuclear
weapon - the United States, Russia, the United Kingdom, France, China, India, Pakistan, North
Korea - and potentially Israel.
Well - in our hypothetical scenario, let's see the destruction wrought if one - or many
- of these nuclear warheads was put to use - more specifically, in the United States
of America.
First - let's see what actually happens a nuclear weapon is detonated.
Two hemispheres of uranium, that are often doped with plutonium and polonium - are forced
into each other, often using conventional explosives.
Neutrons in this critical mass collide at high speed with atoms - which then split,
in the process of Nuclear Fission - releasing energy - atop more neutrons, which cause a
chain reaction of catastrophic energy.
In a hydrogen bomb - this reaction is utilised to force hydrogen nuclei together - in a fusion
process - to form a helium atom that creates a chain reaction and releases even more energy.
It's a devastating force - the likes of which can change the course of a country,
continent - or our entire planet.
Now, although it does depend entirely on destination - it goes without saying that it doesn't
really matter where it's dropped in the United States - as the end result would inevitably
be the same.
But say that our theoretical bomb is dropped with a purpose - to send a message to the
USA.
Much like with Hiroshima and Nagasaki, which were targeted by the U.S Targeting Committee
in the second world war - an area of large, flat and dense population is preferential
- particularly if they have an industrial significance.
In our hypothetical scenario, cities like Houston, Chicago and New York would be appropriate
targets.
For the sake of brevity - let's say that city is New York - a city that contains a
population of 8.5 million people, 139 thousand of which work in manufacturing and industrial
occupations - the second largest in the country.
Houston has the largest, but similar to the Nagasaki situation, areas with close proximity
to mountains and hill ranges are detrimental to nuclear fallout, and although Houston is
relatively flat - it's heavily wooded for the most part, and Texas as a whole is a very
mountainous state in connection to the rest of the country.
It's pretty morbid, but whoever would be sending this hypothetical nuclear bomb would
be looking for maximum damage.
Also, we can't deny the culturally significant impact that New York City has - which would
definitely play a major part for our would-be perpetrator.
Also also - we're not going to sugar coat it, but New York was the place that the North
Korean dictator Kim Jong-un said that his newly tested nuclear arsenal could hit.
If a 150 kiloton hydrogen bomb was dropped right on the centre of New York City Hall
- it would create a massive fireball with a radius of approximately 1.09 square kilometres
- a devastating infernal storm that would consume the immediate area.
At the epicenter of a nuclear blast - the core temperature would reach 150 million fahrenheit
- or 66 million Celsius - enough to vaporise rock, metal - and combust a living human to
utter nothingness.
In its radius, the Supreme Court would go up in flames, along with the city's public
library and Lower Manhattan Hospital.
All gone, wiped off the map instantly.
In a sense, those are the lucky ones - because the blast radius would completely obliterate
up to 5 kilometres across the city levelling the entire financial district, Trump Tower
included.
Most residential buildings in a 20 kilometre radius would be completely levelled or the
foundations destroyed, causing a cascade of crumbling buildings.
People that are caught within 12 square kilometres of the blast would likely suffer a 50 to 90
per cent mortality rate due to the instant levels of radiation - with death taking between
several hours and several weeks.
New York would instantly become uninhabitable for decades to come, and the survivors of
the fallout would be on precious time to instantly flee to area or risk apocalyptic levels of
radiation.
All in all - NukeMap - a website which simulates such a catastrophic event - estimates that
a Nuclear Explosion on New York City would cause an unimaginable 800 thousand deaths,
and twice as many injuries.
But - of course - that doesn't take into account the nuclear fallout of such a devastating
event.
Due to the landscape of New York state and it's close proximity to the East Coast - the
prevailing winds of the area could spread the nuclear fallout anywhere between 23 kilometres
and 6.5 thousand kilometres squared - meaning that a nuclear strike could and would significantly
effect the rest of the United States.
Places such as Dallas, Kansas City, Chicago - even Toronto.
A strike could even spread as far as San Francisco and Los Angeles on the west coast - as well
as most of Mexico and Central America.
If A Nuclear Weapon Hit The USA - our planet would never be the same again, and both the
social, cultural and physical impact would shape our species toward a much darker path.
Have you ever read or seen The Road?
Yeah - nukes are bad guys.
Well unfortunately, that's all we've got time for in today's video, cheers for sticking
around all the way to the end.
Speak your mind in the comment box below - and to continue on with your questioning binge,
be sure to hit that playlist floating shortly above.
As per usual, I've been your host Jack Finch - you've been watching Life's Biggest
Questions - and until next time, you take it easy.

[ENG SUB] EXPLAINING IU(아이유) _ BBIBBI(삐삐) - Duration: 9:42.
If you just got into this channel
You don't know who I am and you're not understanding anything
let me just introduce myself: my name is Danilo
but you can call me "Dan" and this channel has many videos related to
Asia music, which is something I love talking about
By the way, a topic I love so freaking much is about
the singer IU
I'm part of her fandom (Uaena)
Recently, she came back with her 10th anniversary comeback
giving us the single "BBIBBI"
The MV has many references and a lot of meaning
People are kinda confused with this song. Then, I decided to explain everything to you
and talk about some fan theories
about this awesome MV
made by this goddess right here
I'M EXPLAINING A PARTNERSHIP WITH A BRAZILIAN FANBASE. SO, SKIP THE VIDEO TO 1:30
The song talks a lot about "limits" and how you should not cross them
it talks a lot about it
that there is a kind of barrier and you can not overcome it
you always have to pay attention
because if you cross those limits
IU will give you a YELLOW CARD and some kind of warning [BEEP]
in the song's lyrics, she says:
YELLOW CARD, IF YOU CROSS THE LINE IT'S A BEEP
please, keep yourself behind the line, if you cross the limits
things will get worse
STOP IT AND KEEP SOME DISTANCE
AFTER ALL, WE DO NOT OWN NOTHING TO ANYO
The MV shows scenes of her trying to cross the line, but always followed by the warning color (yellow)
So, this is some sort of warning to her haters.
So that they can understand there are some limits
and they need to be respected. The song
is realy focused on IU's relation with people who do not like her
In the beginning of the song, we can see many papers
but the have nothing written on them
the reason why they're empy, is to represent "Fake news"
gossip people made about her, even though is not true
people saying "Look at what IU did"
but is just rumors and what they say is not true
unfortunately, this is very common on show business
On the MV, she appears using a binocular
which is a metaphor for paparazzi, haters
People who are always looking very closely at what she's doing. However, she's surrounded by many yellow fabrics
as you can see
The color represents another warning signal
she's giving people a clear message
consequently, she's also looking at them and seeing every move they make
right after it, she appears in front of a
dartboard, opposite to the number 100
the biggest score someone can have in the game
SONG LYRICS: HOW MANY POINTS AM I GOING TO GET?
when she says it, she is referring to the midia and to the public
these people are always judging her and looking at her attitutes
as if she was playing a dartboard game
always trying to get the highest scores
in order to please everyone and act in the way they want her to
she's always paying attention to ther attitudes
because people will always judge her
In the chorus we can see a different scene
in which we can see IU in a room, with a computer
inside a yellow light
referring to reporters and netizens
We can also see that there aren't many books in the room
there are very few books
The lack of books is a metaphor for the haters lack of sources
People are always talking sh*t abou her, but, as we already could see with the newspaper scene, most of the time their information is fake
so we can conclude that these kind of people aren't worth trust
since they do not care about checking if a rumor is true or not
They have no arguments against her
and just wanna hate because they're mean
in the song's lyrics she says: WHAT THE HELL IS SHE WEARING?
WHAT KIND OF DEAD FACIL EXPRESSION IS THIS?
SHE'S TOO SKINNY, IT MUST BE STRESS, RIGHT?
I'M WORRIED ABOUT HER
Once again, IU tries to emphasize her point: people are always trying to find something to gossip about her
just so that they can have something to talk
since society feels very confortable
pointing out everyone's attitudes and features
without looking first at themselves, so she's kinda being shady on the lyrics
The lyrics have some resemblance with a old song from her called "23"
that also talks about the same issues
the songs is about what haters mostly say about her
Some say they care and are worried about her
but actually they just want to find a reason to curse her
they are not the kind of person who cares
they're only treating her like an animal
Look at what IU wrote on the lyrics
"She's walking so straight, she might trip and fall
Wonder if she knows everyone's whispering about her
I think she's hanging out with that person everyone's talking about
She has problems
then, a lot os scenes are shown but one of the really get your eyes attention
there's a scene in which she's holding a very big mouth
The meaning of this is to represent how people love to talk and talk about her, even though they do not actually research
They always want to gossip about her and do not care at all about her feelings
Another MV scene, the first time when IU
is wearing a red clothe, with a very swaggy look
a stronger visual
this represents a RED CARD, the elimination you get when recieved the 3 yellow cards
she's observing you the whole time
she says "I already gave you many chances" " I gave you a chance to redeem yourself"
Now she's tired of warning so the only thing she can do is keep dancing without giving a sh*t about you
the final warning was already given
in the final moments of the song, she sings:
Let me do this comfortably
Hey you, do you understand what I'm saying? Huh?
I don't believe it
I'm sure you still don't know
Once again, my words are being use in the wrong way and i'm the vilan, right?
I don't believe it
Turn on your signal lights, you have no class
Enough, I won't deal with you anymore
block block block block block
If you don't know, start memorizing this babe
Repeat repeat So easy, right?
what she wanted to say was pretty obvious :
people are always point out every move IU makes
no matter what she does, they will always complain
even tough she's not the story's vilan
she's so freaking tired of saying it, she ALREADY WARNED YOU, giving 3 yellow cards
NOW IS ENOUGH, SHE CAN'T HANDLE IT ANYMORE
Now, she'll live her life and f*** what the others think
for those who waste their time talking about her, don't forget she gave you the RED CARD
The message is so clear that in the ending she changes all the yellow fabrics
and replace them with just a red one - the red card
She've shown you her final warning
this is the MV theory people are most accepting
The song talks about not wasting your time with haters
you can warn them once or even twice
but if they insist you let it go
you're better than this and you should know it
so this was a very clear and direct message IU wanted to transmit
to everyone who cares about her - not in a good way
So basically is this
The lyrics are very impressive and I was shocked reading them
she really put some effort to criticize
some society aspects
IU is such a complete artist. She incorporated all those matters in her music
Hope you guys have enjoyed this video
I really wanted to talk about this MV theory with you guys
I WAS SO IMPRESSED THAT I WAS LIKE
"OMG
WHAT IS GOING ON?"
I GET CRAZY AND IT'S NOT NORMAL LOL
I WAS LIKE "SOMEBODY HELP ME"
IU THINKS ABOUT EVERYTHING
talking about a brazilian partnership [SKIP TO 8:49]
