hi guys welcome back to my channel and in this video I'm going to show you 10
tips on how to cure your chapped lips
10 amazing hacks to cure chapped lips
I'm going to start with the most basic things to get them out of the way and
the first thing is to drink plenty of water. One of the causes of chapped lips
is not hydrating enough and you want to make sure that you drink several glasses
of water a day so that your skin is well hydrated and if your skin is hydrated
then it will help your lips from you know flaking and all that stuff so make
sure to drink water the next thing is vaseline vaseline is the go-to cure for
chapped lips in fact it's one of the three main purposes of it it's chapped
lips cuts and burns I believe so if you have chapped lips make sure to keep them
covered in Vaseline but it does absorb pretty fast you might need to you know
keep reapplying it until they feel better one thing to mention about
Vaseline is that you don't want to go out with it on because it's not enough
since the gets absorbed pretty fast it won't last you and then your lips will
just be bare so it's not something you want to wear out but it is something you
want to use while you're at home to help you cure the lips so if you are going
outside instead of Vaseline the better option would be to wear a lip balm my
personal favorites are the EOS lip balms I have two here this is the one that
kind of has a sparkle in it and this one doesn't have anything in it like you
can't even tell that there's anything on your lips when you put this on my other
favorites our Tony moly lip balms look how cute they are they look like little
fruits and berries like this one is a blueberry and this is a cherry and this
is a tomato I also have an apple and a peach like I literally got all of them I
don't think there's any left some of them give you a little bit of color and
others don't they're like flat on the inside so you
got to dig them out and apply them either with your finger or with a lip
brush but you know I don't mind I just like these because they're
really cute and they do get the job done as well they're very moisturizing I
don't know how long they last so you want to make sure to you know keep one
on you at all times in case you want to reapply it later sometimes the Sun can
make your lips you know dry and more chapped in which case you want a lip balm
with SPF in it I'm pretty happy with the lip balms that I have but I don't think
they have SPF in them so I went and looked up online what are the best lip
balms with SPF the two really good ones are super goop acai fusion and Burt's
Bees lip balm they both have SPF in them. So if you need a lip balm with SPF then
those are the two good ones that you can try next one is lip mask or a lip pack
which is like the same thing it's those little things that are shaped like lips
and they're so cute and I think they're so fun they come in all different colors
most of them come in either pink or gold and this is something that you just put
on your lips to hydrate them you just lie down and you put the lip mask over
your lips and you leave it on for 10-15 minutes that should be good and then you
just take it off and your lips should feel smoother after that and I do notice
the difference they do actually moisturize my lips the next one is kind
of a natural remedy it's actually two things
it's cucumber and aloe those are the two things that are really really good for
your lips here's what you want to do you just want to take fresh cucumber and you
want to just cut it in slices and basically press it against your lips and
use it as a mask when I say use it as a mask I mean put it on your lips lie down
and just let it sit on your lips for several minutes or you can just like
apply it on your lips like kind of rub it on your lips like this and it I don't
know it helps there's something about cucumber that like calms the skin and
just smooths it out somehow aloe is also really good for your skin and you
basically do the same thing with it you want to just cut it up in pieces and
either use it as a mask or you can just put it all over your lips and let it
absorb so that's one of the really good natural ways to cure your lips from
being chapped cucumber and al you can mix them together you can use
them on each one on their own okay this is probably something you heard many
times before but I'm still going to repeat it because it is important and
it's a habit that people have of licking your lips try not to do it because it is
so so bad for you and the thing is I had that habit I used to do that when like
when the weather was really cold and it was windy and I felt my lips were dry so
we just wanted to lick them and it drove me crazy because right after I lick them
if they would like crack and it was horrible
so please don't do it because it's bad for you but it's so hard to not lick
your lips it's actually like a natural thing to do because your lips feel dry
and you want to moisturize them and your your mind is telling you to lick them
because that's the fastest way to like moisturize your lips right the problem
is if you're outside and there's like a cold wind it's gonna destroy them it's
gonna like really dry them up after that and actually make them crack and
possibly bleed even so as much as you can try to avoid licking them especially
while you're outside so you might be wondering well how in the world am I
supposed to do that's really hard and this brings me to the next hack to help
you not lick your lips while you're outside is to wear lipstick
however a lot of lipsticks are drying especially liquid lipsticks and I love
liquid lipsticks but some of them can be drying so you want to find a
moisturizing lipstick for that and you want to just apply it before you go
outside and I mean I can't guarantee that that will work but it works for me
if I have something on my lips like a lipstick or a lip gloss I do not want to
lick my lips however if I have a chapstick on my lips or a lip balm I
sometimes will be tempted to lick my lips because those things they're like
sometimes they're sweet they smell nice like you want to lick them off but with
the lipstick is different you can kind of feel that it's on there and you don't
want to lick it so that's like one trick to stop you from licking your lips as
long as the lipstick is moisturizing you should be good and it also will put like
a barrier between your lips and the cold which helps just make sure it's a
moisture raising lipstick and not the kind that
dries up your lips because that would just make it worse
the next hack is exfoliated however this is not for everybody if you have chapped
lips that are like really severely chapped to the point that there's like
cracks on them and they're bleeding you do not want to exfoliate because that
would just irritate them even more and at that point you don't want to touch
them you just want to leave them alone and let them heal for that you can just
use like lip masks or Vaseline and all that stuff that we talked about earlier
actually Vaseline would be really good for that because it helps things heal
you wouldn't exfoliate when your lips are you know dry but not cracked like
they just have extra like flakey skin on them or something that you want to just
get off and still you want to be very gentle with your lips I think any time
usefully if your lips you want to be more gentle because the skin on the lips
is very delicate so you don't want to use an exfoliator that's too rough there
plenty of lip exfoliator is out there that are pretty good but the cheaper
ones I really like the elf lip exfoliator I'll put a picture son right
here you just like you know twist them they come out like a lipstick and you
just apply them on your lips and exfoliate but actually wanted to show
you how to make a exfoliator for lips at home with the things that you already
have so for that you're gonna need three things you're gonna need sugar and honey
and I use this coconut cream it is meant for making pina coladas by the way but
it feels like it is moisturizing and it's very liquid and you can always
substitute with a coconut oil I think it's a good idea to crush the sugar a
little bit especially if it's a large sugar like the one I had which will make
the whole mixture more gentle on your lips you know the smaller the particles
the more gentle the exfoliator is on your lips then you want to add honey to
it and then you want to add a little bit of this or if you don't have this kind
of thing then just add coconut oil and that will be enough but honestly this
ingredient is completely optional you can just use honey and sugar and that's
it the only reason I added this it was because the honey
is really sticky and I kind of don't really like things to be that sticky so
I added this to just make it less sticky basically and then you just applied the
mixture on your lips and you just kind of rub it in the circular motion with
your finger very gently you know and then you just wipe it off with a paper
towel or you can wash it off in a sink so because of all of the three
ingredients that are in that you're basically exfoliating your lips and
moisturizing them at the same time which is pretty good and the ingredients are
pretty healthy like honey is really good for your skin and the coconut is really
good for your skin the next hack is to moisturize it is very important and I'm
like obsessed with it there are tons of things that you can use to moisturize
lip creams lip butters lip lifts risers that you come by but also you can just
use things around your house that you already have like you can use any oil
you can use olive oil you can use safflower oil vegetable oil coconut oil
is really really good for you and it's one of the best way so you can
moisturize you can even use an actual butter on your lips to like softened
them and it helps a lot if your lips are dry so there's so many things that you
can just use the early have at home so when you moisturize and you apply the
whatever moisturizer of your choice you apply it on your lips if you want it to
be even more effective you can just take a little bit of this thing you can just
cut a little piece of it like a little square from it just enough to cover your
lip area and after you apply that moisturizer just want to put it over the
moisturize over your lips and just slide down and relax or something for 15
minutes this will kind of help things absorb better so this was all of my tips
for you guys and thank you so much for watching I hope this was helpful and I
will see you in my next video bye
you
