I've never been in Turkey and I didn't know, but okay,
let's move to the Ford truck, because this is the reason of me beeing in Turkey
Till now each one of us
probably at least once seen
a Ford truck, pretty much always on Turkish plates

Somewhere in - let's say - warm countries
But now Ford came up with something different,
released a new truck Ford F-MAX
with 13 liter inline engine,
500hp, ZF automatic transmission
And what.. And since 2019
this truck will be available
in Central Europe, then
West Europe. Will Ford with it's newest truck F-MAX
can step into our market?
Stay with me, watch and judge
if you would like to drive this thing, or if you would like to buy this truck
Let's begin with drivers place of work,
because for us it's the most important thing
Seat
seems to be comfortable, it has a lot of settings
This is interesting
A lot of settings of air bags that are inside
So you can play with them
to find the best setting for you
Armrest, firm
but..
From the both sides, but I hope they are in standard
and not only one, but two
Steering wheel, steering wheel settings, it's very important
Wait, I have to reach it
This button, soo. Steering wheel is hiding
and can be slanted pretty hard. I would say settings
are like in street cars
And you can sit
like in a street car
I think no one drives like this, sometime ago drivers drove like this
in old trucks
Now aren't sitting in front of a steering wheel like in a racing car
Okay, steering wheel is of course multifunctional, so it has
te cruise control and all those settings
I won't talk about it, because every European truck has it.
European, but for American ones it's not so standard
So.., display is very
- I would say - clear, colorful,
theres a lof of information, anyway you can personalize all of it
and set it up in such way to show you
such parameters that you want to see during driving,
that are personally most important for us
It's pretty, I would again say
a normal car like, steering wheel is leathered, I think it's in standard
And what.. When it comes to this dashboard
Everything looks like in a street car,
those are pretty plastics

don't sound like a cheap ones, I would say it this way, they arent't..

What's interesting, we have two heater settings
I wonder if it's in standard or not, I don't know
Anyway, one is a dry one
that everybody knows, you turn it when you go to sleep
Second one is wet one, used to heat the engine in the winter

Two sockets 12V and 24V, everything is in reach distance

but the question is how it looks now,
and how it will work

It wouldn't be bad if there would be more, but

What we have here, settings of mirrors,
you can only regulate big mirror, as I can tell
Yes, small one can't be regulated,
this is left, this is right one, okay
Panoramic one won't regulate, but it's normal
Automatic transmission, all versions are with automatic transmission,
now they are shipped with ZF transmission
But Ford is working on their own
transmission, as I remember 2019
they will release it to market slowly,
in 2020 they will mount it
And all of the Fords will be shipped
with automatic transmission

What's better automatic or manual?
Long lasting drivers disagreement,

It depends on the surroundings, if in hard terrain,

then automatic, and in city, automatic without doubt,

There is one more nice thing, that I just realized
There is a card holder,
for card not to wonder around, this is awesome thing

and it's something I really like, because I always have my cards
on sight, and I have to look for them
and I always have a stress that I lost one of them
and it fallen behind dashboard, so it's
amazing invention, so.. here we have drawers

What is under the bed?
There is no frame, it's like on a flat plane
mattress is thick, how thick.. around 10cm

Bed is liftable, I mean the head rest
You can slightly lift it up, there is whole panel
with settings of everything

But for bed.. For me everything,
that is: music, sunroof,
that is
lights, lights in cabin and of course heater
But the second one
It's a nice thing, you..
wake up and you turn up the wet heater
and until you will get up, engine will be warm
and you can drive, it's pretty handy thing. A big plus for the car
What more to show you. What is interesting,
is that
It's this window? Yes,
Heated windows, heated window, it's
It's something beautiful, of course in Europe
since few years, we don't have that cold winters, but
only few night will be enough
when snow rains, when it's cold and
wipers are covered with window..
wipers are covered with snow, creates ice and
you have to stop, and if you can then okay
but you can't then you aren't able to see anything
and it's dangerous. Heated window
is something beautiful

Let's move to the living part
How will the driver live there
When it comes to colors, then
as I said before, they will ship it with bright colors, bright interior

I don't like it swinging so much

refrigerator is reachable from any place

and wants to drink something
So it's easily accesable, but I don't like

Ford used solution that Volvo has in their truck

On a each step of closing the bed I can lock it

but, I don't remember how much

I think this solution would be the best
for this truck, but okay

and a DAF grill, I like it beeing black

Something I've never seen
or I don't remember to see it anywhere, that is a gasket

In Europe a lot of drivers place shoes here
and enters truck barefoot

shoes are completly safe here in case of a rain
This truck has - as you can see - fairings
in standard,
for fuel tanks, by that it looks way better
from the get go. In Europe we have
fenders like this, this is detachable, sometimes happens
that trailer will colide with it and it will collapse, but

You lift it and you can remove it
and that's how truck are driving usually
In American ones, we only have a fender here
Lights are pretty narrow
When I looked at those first light I though
I could be a little wider, a little more outside, but then I though
When reversing you can miss something,
and then.. when comming to a wall
and touching it, then you will scratch this side
and there is no damage done and when light is broken then it's a damage
And..
I state that it's not bad, in American trucks they only
have here a little light and it's okay
and by that it doesn't affect
security that much, in a longer trucks
especially it's okay
Breaks of course
disk ones. In Europe it's standard
that there are disk ones
Here you refuel DAF, not DEF
jesus It's AdBlue
I'm in Europe, you refuel AdBlue there, I can see there
are batteries hidden, wonder if it's hard to get to them
Wonder if they have a plug to not
in a emergency

The lockers under the bed are big, you have to admit

I think in all those truck I've driven, there always been
not a see through one
Because there always been a refrigerator taking all the space on the back
and this one is see through, so if you have something long

Okay, time for summarization, when it comes to cabin
and interior, then I like it
how it's solved, it's bright
and because of it it's gives illusion
of big room, it's not
really an illusion, because cabin inside has
a really low tunnel, that it's over 2m
high and you don't have to bend
So it's nice, so there is a lot of space
It's bright ,where it's gets dirty pretty often
it's dark, it's nice, I like it. Seats
are nice and comfy
One thing that I would improve
is the bed, not to make it
only have fully close option,
but something inbetween, to store something there
on the road
And hide it, so it won't be visible. Then for me
it would be a perfect interior
The driver's place of work is designed nicely,
ergonomically
Gauges, steering wheel, all of the buttons
Everything looks like a high class street car
Buttons are on arm reach
You don't have to strech to reach them
All of them are lit blue
It's bright now, so I'm not sure, but I think everything is lit blue
So it's something I've never seen before
And whole interior
make illusion
of quality, all of the materials
that are used here, looks high price point
So, how to say it..
You enter the truck, nothing creaks
Everything locks perfectly
Nothing wonders around, maybe that refrigerator is a bit loose,
but beside that everything is
High price point, so I like that
Because I hate, when I enter other truck and everything creaks
and wonders around, this wants to close
and it's already broken, really new but not works correctly
So there
I think it will be nice in maintaining
I think when you on the whole dashboard,
even with a normal
dashboard balm,
you wipe it
Then everything will be looking pretty, so it should be easy to maintain
And I really like that
This is a big plus for this truck, that you can feel quality
We will see, how the materials will do under usage
This is what time will tell
Now the most important thing
Handling of a truck, it handles stable,
but I can't say much, because
I drove without trailer, there was not place
to gain speed, so I think I went 60km/h. First impressions are
When it comes to stability and precision
It's nice, one thing that I
was worried about is
assistance, you have to put a lot of force
to turn the wheel
So I'm really curious how this steering
not steering, steering is in the trailer.
How the assistance of steering will
work, when you attach
trailer, when you remove weight,
when you remove weight from the front, and give weight to the back

further state of the road, if there's a hill for example

adjust the speed at the rpm of vehicle
When there's the hill climb
It increases.. It prepares
It's speeding up
So on average it's
Provides us to
consume 4% less fuel
It's high tech
