Drum Teacher Reacts to George Kollias - Drummer of Nile - Duration: 10:52.
Hy my name is Marthyn Jovanovic I'm a drum teacher and in this video I'm gonna
be reacting to and analyzing a live drum cam video of George Kollias drummer of Nile
performing the song laying fire upon apep before I start with this video I
want to give a big shout out again to the guys at blastology.net
especially Kenny those videos were a big inspiration back in the days and I'm
gonna link his YouTube channel underneath in the description so you can check
out his live drum cam videos as well and finally a big shout out to George Kollias
an amazing drummer and huge inspiration for all of us all
as you can see here he is using axis a long boards right now he is using his
signature axis models but back in the days this videos is like eight or nine
years old he'ss using the regular axis a longboard vdl is around the middle a bit
to the front he's using tama iron cobra beaters and a high spring tension
extremely high spring tension i wouldn't recommend this spring tension for anyone
who is just starting out playing double bass because you're number one you have
to constantly fight against the spring number two you need a lot
of power to push down the pedal and number three it's really hard to learn
to control your calf muscles at higher tempos since you're constantly working
against such a tight spring but obviously as you can see for George it
works out as well perfectly works out perfectly fine for him and one more
thing he's using axis ekit triggers in this video
all right so let's talk about his hand technique for a bit george is using some
kind of French grip American grip something between that he holds the
stick with his index finger his middle finger and his thumb just like this but
he's also using a bit of fingers when he's playing you can see that with the left
hand so it's a small wrist turning motion a lot of wrist involvement with
his playing but always a little bit of fingers and one thing that he does is
that he sticks out his arm like this so it's still regular French
grip but his arms are not beside his body they are out there that's pretty much it
as you can see here his left foot is not moving he's playing single foot blasts
all the time so his right foot is following his right hand and playing
eighth notes at the song is at 128 so 256 beats per minute
as you can see here he's leaning forward a bit he's applying pressure from his
upper leg and his calf muscles his hip flexors are not actively assisting the
motion at his high tempos so it's not it an up and down motion from the hip flexor
everything is generated by the calf and his calf muscles and this swivel
technique plus a bit of a contraction from your upper legs and he leans
forward this way you have got even more pressure on the pedal
somewhere I read a comment about George's double bass playing and someone was
complaining about the beater distance at higher tempos but to be honest you know
he's playing well above250 BPM he still hits really hard especially
in comparison to other drummers so I wouldn't critique him on that he's doing
an awesome job hitting so hard all the time snare and toms fills
let's talk a bit about his foot technique and the swivel technique you
know during the last years his swivel things seemed to change a bit because if
you watch some YouTube clips online you will see that there are some videos
where he's playing with regular heel up with his right foot
no swiveling at all but with the left foot he's swiveling extremely a big swivel
motion from side to side with one stroke per side in this example he's using his
swiveling with both feet right foot and left foot but it doesn't look like a
really a fast swivel motion like this it looks like he is playing two notes per
side so swiveling in for two notes swiveling out for two notes I don't think that's a
conscious decision I think swivel technique is just assisting him
in performing at that high speeds and higher bpms and but one thing
that's really interesting is right now in this example when he's swiveling his
left foot is copying what his right does now that dissect his swivel technique a
bit his right foot swivels out then his left foot is not swiveling in its swiveling
out as well so it's actually mirroring what the right foot does then the right
foot swiveling in again the ankle swiveling in again and the left foot also
goes to the inside
technique looks like it out out in in out out in in out out in for other
drummers like kerim krim lechner he does it the opposite way so if his right foot
his right ankle is swiveling to the outside the left foot is actually
following the right foot and swiveling to the inside and then right foot
swivels to the inside and left foot to the outside so his technique looks like
this out in in out out in alright enough theory on the swivel
technique
the tom fills that's really interesting you know he hits really hard
with the Tom's as well so it's not like that he loses power you get less
rebound from the Tom's you actually have to work harder but he's not losing any
power at all when it comes to the tom fills
It's also interesting during all his Tom fills when he's playing 1/16th
note tom fills like this it's just single not a single strokes sorry but he's
always following with his right foot so his right foot is playing quarter
notes and his hands are playing single stroke sixteenth notes there are two big
advantages when it comes to accompanying a Tom fill with a quarter note kick
drum number one is if the sound on stage is not that good and for example your
bandmates are not able to hear your Tom fills it's gonna be easier for them to
follow you because the still hear the quarter notes of your kick drum the
kick trigger is gonna be loud enough the other thing if you follow along with the
quarter notes it also gets this forward drive so the fill is like not losing
power it's still pushing forward all the time
at this point the high spring tension is really a pain in the ass because
you can see it in this short clip that he really has to stomp from the hihat
to the kick pedal it's not like a smooth transition
because he constantly has to work against his high spring he has to stomp
really hard to get a good sound of it but this foot pattern in combination with
the sides snare and the open and closing off the hi-hat sounds amazing
did you see the stick catch let's watch it again
again he's leaning forward a bit but not a lot
also when he's playing double bass you can clearly see that his hip joint
is always a bit higher than his knee joint
this tempo you can see that his right bass drum pedal his right foot beater
a is returning a bit further back in comparison to the left one and
he has this concept of leading for the strong and weak foot in his new book
Odyssey of double bass drumming so make sure to check that one out as well to
get some more information about that topic
and again
The tom fills just sound great quarter note kickdrum
great video great drumming from George amazing alright guys that's it for this video
remember if you want a certain video to be next on this YouTube channel comment
below and send me the link as well of the YouTube video that you want thanks a
lot for watching my videos cheers from Vienna bye

Devastating Disappointment. - Duration: 6:04.
today was a disaster of a deck for the first time in best hour history I thought
I had connected with a community of a whole bunch of like-minded creators like
the folks that hang out with me on the best hour of my day and I was really
excited to talk about this particular opportunity not only that I had an
absolutely fantastic guest on the show the fantastic Joe he's only available on
weekends and I was really excited because I was finally gonna have him on
to talk about his collaborations and for the first few moments it seemed like
everything was going as planned it looked like the crowd was gonna be
massive for this broadcast and I was really excited but then things just went
wrong now there was some forewarning of this impending doom a few of the local
creators in my area had said they were having all sorts of connection issues
all morning long based on the fact that we were getting really high winds in the
area now I've put on 200 plus broadcasts in a row every single day
without a hitch so I don't generally worry too much and let this stuff
concern me I mean it's always gone right in the
past 200 plus times it's not gonna happen to me
famous last words I mean a broadcast live from just about everywhere
successfully without a hitch not even once
can't be today not when the perfect storm is coming less than five minutes into
the stream it became perfectly obvious that it was going to happen to me
something was definitely wrong with my connection so I had to shut down the
stream and try to figure out if there was a way that I could get it to come up
at least strong enough to do a broadcast well it quickly became quite clear that
it just wasn't gonna happen the weather probably had something to do with it but
I can't really honestly be totally sure after I shut it down I couldn't help but
think about the unbelievable opportunity I may have lost today to have this other
like-minded community potentially be able to come in and interact with all
the amazing folks who have been there from the very beginning on the bestower
and help us grow and help us have new people to collaborate with well I'm not
gonna lie I was pretty devastated at the possibility that this opportunity was
gone and of course I was extremely embarrassed about the videos that were
out there they were immediately unlisted and then turned to private just about
right away I mean do I really want my failure completely out there on the
Internet nope not really especially since I was so excited about this
broadcast to begin with I mean this is like a kick in the teeth but you know
these things happen if you are a live broadcaster something like this is
probably gonna happen after a foul language tirade the likes of which even
Monica had never seen I thought to myself all right so what can we do about
this how can we fix it because you know what
thinking about what might have been doesn't do me any good so here's what I
did I had to figure out a way that I could
do a high-quality broadcast from my studio with my cell phone just in case
my wife I wasn't working but I set up the broadcast I tested it for about two
and a half hours to make sure that it was going to go off without a hitch
even in the poor weather conditions that we were having yesterday that's right I
turn lemons into lemonade I now have a full and solid backup plan and the best
part about it is it's gonna all go in the course that I've been creating for
about three weeks now so it was a horrifying day was really bad and I
might have lost a really fantastic opportunity to connect with an awesome
community I don't know I'll never know but I can tell you this I've learned a
lot from the experience it made me a better broadcaster and it also forced me
to set up ways to get around this issue if it ever happens again a good solid
backup plan I don't know why I didn't have one before but when you do 200-plus
successful broadcast from anywhere in the world you don't always expect these
things to happen they just do so today at 10 a.m. one hour after this video
drops we're gonna have a redo we're gonna put on this amazing livestream and
it's gonna be fantastic and hopefully all the folks that I expected we're
gonna be there yesterday we'll come there today do I know that
for sure not really I can only hope sometimes
these things happen though guys and you can't let it get you down
everything is not always gonna go right and even on the best opportunity that
you've ever had hey you got to do the best you can to fix the problems you had
and move on because you know what new opportunities will come along I promise
you don't let yourself get down or get beat up if you have a major massive
failure these things happen it happened to everyone how you handle it is the
most important aspect of it and hopefully I handled it with class and
grace and we're gonna have an amazing broadcast today at 10:00 a.m. I hope to
see you there do me a big favor guys go out there find your adventure have a
great day and I'll see you in an hour for the best hour of my day
you

Interview - Elections Matter - Duration: 5:46.
WELL GARY, YOU HAVE BEEN A LONG TIME STALWART HERE ON
THE WASHINGTON SCENE AND YOU'VE SEEN A LOT OF
ADMINISTRATIONS COME AND A LOT OF ADMINISTRATIONS GO.
ELECTIONS MATTER, DON'T THEY, AND AS A PRO-LIFE
ACTIVIST YOU HAVE SEEN HOW MUCH ELECTIONS MATTER AND
FRANKLY HOW MUCH THE 2016 ELECTIONS MATTERED.
ELECTIONS ARE EXTREMELY IMPORTANT; YOU KNOW I
ALWAYS TRY TO REMIND PEOPLE THAT THERE'S LARGE
PORTIONS OF THE WORLD WHERE THERE ARE MILLIONS
OF PEOPLE WHO DON'T ACTUALLY EVER PARTICIPATE
IN A REAL ELECTION.
SOME CASES THE COUNTRIES THEY'RE IN DON'T EVEN TRY
TO HAVE ELECTIONS AND IN OTHER CASES THE ELECTIONS
ARE FAKE.
SO IN A CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC LIKE THE UNITED
STATES BUILT ON THE IDEA THAT LIBERTY COMES FROM
GOD.
ANYBODY THAT IS AN AMERICAN CITIZEN REALLY
HAS A SPECIAL PRIVILEGE AND RIGHT TO BE PART OF
THE PROCESS OF GOVERNING THEMSELVES.
I MUST ADMIT OVER THE YEARS I'VE GROWN ALMOST
WEARY AND CERTAINLY DISAPPOINTED WHEN I WILL
SOMETIMES GO INTO CHURCHES AND PEOPLE STILL, NOT
EVERYBODY BUT A LOT OF PEOPLE SAY OH THAT'S
POLITICS, I DON'T WANT TO DIRTY MY HANDS IT DOESN'T
HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH ME ANYWAY.
SO I THINK WHAT PEOPLE OF FAITH NEED TO REALIZE IS
THAT IF THEY DON'T OCCUPY A SPOT FOR THEM IN THE
PUBLIC SQUARE THAT SPOT WILL BE OCCUPIED BY
SOMEBODY WITH MUCH DIFFERENT VALUES, WHO WILL
TAKE AMERICA IN A DIRECTION THAT I THINK
MOST BELIEVERS WOULD FIND VERY UNCOMFORTABLE IN THE
YEARS AHEAD.
OF COURSE ROE V. WADE NOW HAS BEEN IN EFFECT FOR
MORE THAN 45 YEARS.
THERE ARE THOSE WHO LOOK AT IT AND TAKE A
PESSIMISTIC VIEW AND SAY IT'S BEEN THERE FOR 45
YEARS IT'S NOT GOING ANYWHERE THERE'S REALLY
NOTHING THAT WE CAN DO ABOUT IT, MAYBE WE CAN
CHIP AROUND THE EDGES A LITTLE BIT.
WHAT SHOULD BE OUR GOAL NOW AS PRO-LIFERS, IS IT
REALISTIC TO STILL WANT TO OVERTURN ROE V. WADE?
IS IT POSSIBLE THAT OUR VOTES CAN STILL MAKE A
SUBSTANTIAL DIFFERENCE IN PRESERVING THE SANCTITY OF
HUMAN LIFE?
I THINK WHEN IT COMES TO THE SANCTITY OF HUMAN LIFE
GIVEN THAT ROE VS. WADE HAS BEEN IN THE BOOKS FOR SO
MANY YEARS BY THE SUPREME COURT THAT WE HAVE TO TAKE
A TWO PRONG APPROACH.
ON THE ONE HAND WE NEED TO TRY TO CONVICT THE HEARTS
OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE.
THAT EVEN THOUGH RIGHT NOW THIS IS LEGAL, WE NEED TO
CONVINCE THEM THAT IT'S IMMORAL, THAT IT'S BENEATH
US THAT IT'S ACTUALLY CREATED A CULTURE OF
DEATH.
I ALSO KNOW THAT OVER THE YEARS, LIKE IN THE CASE OF
SLAVERY AND OTHER TIMES OUR COURTS MAKE MISTAKES.
THE AMERICAN PEOPLE FOLLOW THOSE MISTAKES AND
EVENTUALLY THE TRUTH WON OUT, AND I'M STILL
CONVINCED, AND I'M KIND OF GETTING UP IN YEARS, BUT
I'M STILL CONVINCED THAT THERE'S A DECENT CHANCE,
PARTICULARLY IF CHRISTIANS WILL VOTE, THAT SOMEDAY
THE ALARM WILL GO OFF AND I'LL GET UP AND GO DOWN TO
THE END OF THE DRIVEWAY TO PICK UP THE NEWSPAPER AND
THE HEADLINE WILL BE ROE VS. WADE OVERTURNED: COURT
FINDS RIGHT TO LIFE.
AND WHEN THAT DAY COMES IT WILL BE BECAUSE MILLIONS
OF PEOPLE DID WHAT THEY SHOULD DO AS CHRISTIAN
CITIZENS.
THIS IS ISN'T A PARTISAN ISSUE THIS IS SANCTITY OF
HUMAN LIFE ISSUE; BUT WE WANT TO TAKE A STEP BACK
AND LOOK OBJECTIVELY.
I THINK NOBODY WOULD CLAIM THAT OUR PRESIDENT IS A
PERFECT MAN, NO PRESIDENT HAS BEEN A PERFECT MAN:
BUT HOW HAS THE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION BEEN ON
ISSUES OF HUMAN LIFE?
THE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION HAS BEEN REALLY, JUST
ASTONISHING.
DURING THE CAMPAIGN HE SAID THE LIFE ISSUE WAS
IMPORTANT.
I KNOW FROM INSIDER INFORMATION THAT IN THE
PRESIDENTIAL DEBATES THAT TOOK PLACE BETWEEN HIM AND
HILLARY CLINTON, UNLIKE SOME OTHER REPUBLICAN
PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES IN THE PAST HE WANTED THE
ABORTION ISSUE TO COME UP.
HE WANTED TO CONFRONT HILLARY CLINTON OVER THE
FACT THAT SHE EVEN SUPPORTED ABORTION IN THE
6TH, 7TH, 8TH MONTH OF PREGNANCY, AND IT DID COME
UP: AND HE QUITE FRANKLY DID A BETTER JOB OF MAKING
THE PRO-LIFE CASE THAN A FEW CHRISTIAN MORE CLEARLY
CHRISTIAN POLITICIANS HAD DONE OVER THE YEARS.
SINCE THEN THE PRESIDENT HAS DEALT WITH THIS ISSUE
OVER AND OVER AGAIN, HE'S BEEN PUTTING JUDGES ON ALL
LEVELS OF THE FEDERAL COURTS, WHO I THINK ARE
THE KIND OF JUDGES THAT WILL LOOK TO THE
CONSTITUTION, AND IF THEY DO, THEY WILL NOT FIND
ANYWHERE IN IT THE WORD ABORTION OR ANYTHING THAT
ANY REASONABLE MAN OR WOMAN WOULD INTERPRET AS
BEING A RIGHT TO DESTROY INNOCENT HUMAN LIFE.
SO HE'S BEEN FANTASTIC.
SO FROM A PRO-LIFE PERSPECTIVE THERE IS
REASON TO BE ENCOURAGED AND REASON TO STAY THE
COURSE.
FROM A PRO-LIFE STANDPOINT, THERE'S EVERY
REASON IN THE WORLD TO BE OPTIMISTIC AND TO WANT TO
DO EVERYTHING YOU CAN.
YOU DON'T HAVE TO BECOME A 7 DAY A WEEK ACTIVIST OR
GET A JOB LIKE I HAVE DEALING WITH PUBLIC
POLICY.
JUST BE A CHRISTIAN CITIZEN, A MAN OR A WOMAN
WHO'S USING THE RIGHTS THAT MANY, MANY PEOPLE
HAVE GIVEN EVERYTHING TO ENSURE THAT WE HAVE, AND
USE THOSE RIGHTS AND PARTICULAR THAT RIGHT TO
VOTE.
TO SELECT, TO FIND AND SELECT THOSE CANDIDATES IN
EITHER PARTY THAT YOU FIND THEM IN WHO ARE WILLING TO
STATE CLEARLY THAT IF ELECTED THEY WILL STAND
WITH US ON THE ISSUE OF INNOCENT HUMAN LIFE.

your responsibility is to understand that you and everything you do matters
say yes
say yes when opportunities present themselves even if you don't know why or
what you are doing say yes
if we have faith we have to recognize and accept that a door can or will close
so that we can prepare or that a door has already closed and we have to move
on it means we have to let go of the past so that we can make ready for the
future
If you say yes you will be challenged to go beyond the limits that you or
someone else has set for you to whom much is given much is required
I'm gonna say it again to whom much is given much is required
here's a song for you (singing) "we are the ones we've been waiting for/ we are the ones we've been waiting for"
(Call and response) We are the ones, we are the ones (repeated)
If you say yes you will be expanding your world in ways you have never ever
imagined

Breaking News - Frankel: The horse who made dreams come true - Duration: 13:13.
Straight away you can see why they have chosen the words 'nosey' and 'greedy'. Bobby, as he is known in these parts, has poked his head over the stable door
He has heard the click-click-clicking of a camera and his ears are flicking back and forth to locate the sound
Bobby loves being the centre of attention, always has done. There is, however, one thing he enjoys more than posing for photographs
His nose is twitching after he has picked up the scent of his daily treat and the impatient clacking of his hooves on the floor leave you in no doubt he wants feeding – now
A familiar face is quickly on hand and, soon, 'Bobby' is crunching his way through a sack of carrots
Here is a horse whose every whim is pandered to but there is good reason. This, after all, is no ordinary equine
This is the best there has ever been. This is Frankel. It is six years since Frankel – who was masterfully trained by Sir Henry Cecil for his owner-breeder Prince Khalid Abdullah – last ran like the wind, his unblemished 14-race career ending in a blaze of glory, but he continues to be talked about as much as before
So we are at Banstead Manor Stud in the village of Cheveley, just outside Newmarket
This is the picture-perfect headquarters of Juddmonte Farms and it is where Frankel's remarkable life started, when he was foaled 10 years ago
He is now a stallion, passing his prodigious genes to tomorrow's stars. Juddmonte are an organisation synonymous with some of horse racing's all-time greats, from Dancing Brace to the dual Prix de L'arc de Triomphe heroine Enable, but parading in front of us with his coat gleaming in the mid-morning sun is the one who made dreams come true
To explain how he did is Lady Jane Cecil. She has joined us for the visit to Banstead Manor and, soon, she is telling stories how her late husband sculpted a champion out of the headstrong, over-enthusiastic juvenile that first walked into their fabled Warren Place yard
'He loved his routine,' recalls Lady Cecil. 'He knew what was expected of him. He knew that on a Monday he was just going to do a nice steady canter
On a Monday he'd just do one canter, and on Tuesday two. He'd be happy to just lob up there
He was the most intelligent horse.' But he was also a thrill seeker. There is a story of Frankel – who was named in honour of Bobby, the great trainer who had given Juddmonte such success in America – being so exuberant on an area of Newmarket's gallops called 'Railway Land' that he galloped faster one morning than a passing train
'I have to tell you it wasn't an express train and the drivers are very wary about the gallops!' says Lady Cecil
That maybe so but Frankel was an express train. He won four races as a two-year-old, five – including the most spectacular demolition of a 2000 Guineas field in history – in his Classic season before another, which culminated in Ascot's QIPCO Champions Stakes, in his final campaign
'I always remember when we were coming back to the winners' enclosure after Frankel had won the Royal Lodge Stakes as two-year-old,' says Lady Cecil
'Henry never walked and talked. If he wanted to say something, he'd always stop. It was as if he couldn't walk and talk
'Everything Henry did was through instinct and feel. He'd had more than 30 years' experience when Frankel came along
So he stopped and said: "I think he's the best I've ever had." With his experience, it's as if it was all building towards Frankel
' There is a pause as those words sink in. Cecil was one of the greatest trainers to have ever lived and the list of his good horses and many achievements would fill these pages alone
He was not one to make frothy, heat-of-the-moments claims, so his declaration startled his wife
'It seems so obvious now, that all the good horses that Henry had before obviously weren't at that level,' she says
'He was just breath-taking. They didn't do on the Al Bahathri or the Limekilns gallops the way Frankel did it
Then he just got better and better.' This is why Frankel became so popular and the story we are retelling is so remarkable
Cecil, who was so loved by the racing world, had a spell around 2005 when it appeared his time as a trainer was fizzling out to nothing; his stable was short on numbers and bereft of quality
His life was also complicated by the fact he was diagnosed with stomach cancer in 2006
His link, nonetheless, with Prince Khalid, a member of Saudi Arabia's Royal family, remained strong
It is here Lord Teddy Grimthorpe, Juddmonte's racing manager, explains how Frankel was assigned to Cecil
'I have talked to Prince Khalid about it,' says Grimthorpe, sitting in a drawing room that is a double's as a shrine to Frankel's achievements
'Frankel was just an extraordinary alignment of the stars. If he had been born two years earlier in 2006 would he have gone to Henry then? Probably not
'If it was two years later, he might not have gone because Henry was so ill. Bobby Frankel had trained for Prince Khalid for 20-odd years and was really responsible for our success in America single-handedly
He was an integral part and his ethos, the way he looked after horses, was superb
'Then he got leukaemia and died in the November (2009) when Frankel was a yearling
So this horse suddenly appears. When he was a yearling, in the September of that year, and we got a saddle on him
You saw he began to muscle up a bit more and we thought "phew!" 'The heart really did begin to beat then
I remember Henry asking, just before we sent his yearlings, "what are mine like?" I said to him: "we are sending you something I don't think we have ever sent you – or anybody
" He has dominated my life more than any other horse has ever done or could do. 'I used to go to the gallops every day
You didn't have to be Archimedes to work out that he was going to be quite useful! Everyone says half the job is in the brain and he had a great brain, to go with the great physical attributes
That is why he was such a package.' He was a package that became box office. You need champions to be standard-bearers in any field of sport and what made Frankel so spectacular was the way he would pummel fields of the highest class
There were never photo-finishes just complete demolition jobs. 'When he was champion two-year-old, I would get calls from the Racing Post,' says Grimthorpe
'After his Guineas win, it was an explosion. As he did it more and there was more of a story, suddenly you went from not just talking to Channel 4 racing but it was Channel 4 news
'Then it was News at 10, BBC news. In his last year, it was Bloomberg TV, the Wall Street Journal, South African TV
I did a radio show in Australia once a month. I did two hours with Al Jezeera! For a racing operation that is used to just very quick statements, that's how it went off the scale
'Lots of people said "he's keeping Henry alive" but I felt it was a double edged thing, this
Half of it was killing him. It was the pressure. The constant worry. But equally so, the performances release all that
It was almost like a valve. I was lucky to realise this was a one-off thing in my life
'Frankel just arrived at the right time. With Henry's life in its twilight, to have the two parts of that story was just… Well, you couldn't make it up, could you?' The day Frankel left Warren Place, in the autumn of 2012, to return to Banstead Manor to begin life as a stallion was raw with emotion for the Cecils
It was also a day that everyone who welcomed him back home will never forget, either
Frankel had a stable specially built for him and in the adjacent box was Oasis Dream, who at that point was very much Juddmonte's leading sire
He had been a sprinter in his pomp, a ball of fire with a domineering personality
He sensed Frankel's arrival and didn't like it at all. 'He is in charge, he is the one who counts,' says Simon Mockridge, Juddmonte's Stud Director
'Just to prove that, it was very interesting when he arrived here. For three days after he arrived here, Oasis Dream – who was very much in charge – wouldn't put his head over the door
'He stayed with his back side showing. It was almost like recognition – it was nature's recognition that a bigger beast had come into the yard
It was extraordinary. He is an amazing horse. That is the thing with the good ones – they know they are good
They know they are the best.' Lady Cecil concurs, saying: 'I'll never forget when I took Lady Howard de Walden to see her horse one day; I walked past Frankel he was like: "Excuse me, I'm here!" So I said: "I'm sorry, we're going to have to say hello to Frankel, then we'll have a look at your horse!" And there is the point about this animal
Everyone wants to look at him. Tony McCoy, the greatest National Hunt jockey, has only ever asked for his picture to be taken twice – once was with Zinedine Zidane, the other was with Frankel
His reach is such that East Anglia's Children's Hospices made Frankel an ambassador alongside popstar Ed Sheeran and jockey Frankie Dettori; at Newmarket racecourse, a bar has been named in his honour with video screens in which you can look back at all his races
On the track, meanwhile, you can now look at his offspring, the best of which so far has been Cracksman, who on Saturday week will attempt to win the QIPCO Champion Stakes for a second time
It doesn't always work out that great racehorses become great sires but Frankel is different
A son of the 2001 Epson Derby winner Galileo, the outstanding sire of the 21st century, Frankel is proving to be as prolific in the breeding sheds
He stands at a cost of £175,000 and covered 180 mares last year; there will be more of the same next year, though a union with Enable is unlikely
The numbers involved are mind-boggling and are indicative of his pedigree. 'How much he is worth is always a very leading question and I don't think it is one I should try to answer,' explains Mockridge
'I mean, how long is a piece of string? He is a great ambassador for racing. His was a great story and we couldn't replicate him
To us, he is absolutely priceless to us.' For tickets to QIPCO British Champions Day on Saturday 20th October go to britishchampionsday

Ideas For Making New Friends as an ENFP - Dreams Around The World - Duration: 6:06.
Hey Dan here I've been getting a lot of responses from you guys on the ENFP
video about friends and why you should be picky and first of all thanks for
your comment thanks for all the awesome support and presumably sharing on the
video just based on how quick the views have grown here but the biggest question
that came up is how do I actually make those friends you know how do I change
my peer group meet those people and first thing I would say is there's an
ENFP you got nothing to complain about making
friends meeting new people that's going to be easy for you so as ways to make a
change in your life this is probably one of the easiest things that that you can
do now when it comes to actually where do you find those people first thing I
would ask myself is where would those people be like okay imagine it something
simpler like you want to become a dancer alright so you want to become a dancer
where would you go to meet friends who would support you in that quest probably
just to you know think about it probably like a dance school maybe might be a
good place to start maybe want to get in physical shape you might go to a gym so
think about it if you if you want to become an entrepreneur go to meetups go
to events you know I don't want to be promoting my own stuff here too much but
when I started as an entrepreneur the places that I met the best entrepreneurs
were paid events I went out to conferences to workshops sometimes they
were a thousands of dollars but that's where I met people who were also really
invested like I was and we're very serious about their own their own
personal development here show you the castle back here in Prague terrible
place to be to be hanging out on a Monday so think about going to events
and just where those people would be again could even be online I don't do a
lot of like Facebook groups and that personally I just think it's a lot
better to make friends you know either with like video chat or actually in the
flesh or whatever but a lot of people have luck with that as well and the
biggest thing I though I want to add is you got to make room for new friendships
and that means saying no and say no is not an easy thing for us enfps
saying no to people cutting people out of our lives saying no to plans you know
by default we want to say yes if someone asks us to hang out we want to say yes
but the thing is you got to start to say no to make room for those new friends we
all have a need to spend time with people to be social to have friendships
and if you already have a decent group of friends decent but not good and
you're already filling up your weekend spending time with them you're already
calling them we need someone to talk to you probably don't have a lot of room
for those new friendships and you might actually get a lot out of it by first
ending some time socks ending some relationships that don't really serve
you maybe getting rid of some other activities you do whether it's people or
activities things that is wasting your time and make room for those new
relationships and what you'll probably find is when you have room for the new
relationships it will become a lot easier to meet those people because
you're gonna be driven so you don't end up just hanging out alone all the time I
wanted to add don't be afraid to reach out to people most people are not as
happy with their social life as they would like to be especially I found a
lot of entrepreneurs you know we're so focused in our business we don't make
the time to spend as much time with friends so don't be afraid to be the one
who reaches out who you know you meet someone who's interesting at an event
and reach out to them and just say hey why don't we get together grab a beer or
go play golf I don't know whatever is people do
and the other thing that I really recommend doing is bringing people
bringing people to gather so throw parties in a few days my fourth or fifth
annual Halloween parties happening here in Prague that event has generated
hundreds of thousands of dollars a business for people who've been there
who've met each other for connections that have formed and it's also a way for
me to get to know people better people that I otherwise what might know
casually I can invite them out so really recommend that as well think of
something you can do if you're in a smaller town and there's not like a cool
meetup in your area for entrepreneurs and make a meet-up for entrepreneurs be
the leader and that will be the absolute quickest way to to make those
relationships ultimately you know it's up to you and you've got to put in time
the cool thing is is that changing up your peer group meeting those friends is
such a great way to make a change and it is so important as I said in the last
video it just takes a little effort but your ROI your return on that effort is
going to be fantastic so find ways to do it look for where
people will be who are like you who have similar interests you know not
necessarily clones of yourself but people who want to do the same kind of
things you do go out meet them make plans after bring people together become
that organizer and the rewards will be awesome thanks for watching hope you
found this a little bit of an extra value add if you did hit that thumbs up
button like the channel subscribe to the channel all that good stuff and I'll
catch you in another video soon

2015-2018 F150 Truxedo Pro X15 Roll-Up Tonneau Cover Review & Install - Duration: 9:52.
Hey, guys.
Adam here with americantrucks.com.
Today, we're taking a closer look at and installing the Truxedo Pro X15 Soft-Roll Tonneau Cover,
available for the 2015 to 2018 F-150.
You should be taking a look at this particular tonneau cover if you're looking for something
to protect your cargo in your bed and also to give you a nice aerodynamic finish to your
bed.
Now, this one here is one of the more premium or top-of-the-line tonneau covers as far as
materials go because it's made with a super-durable, proven, woven canvas material that won't fade,
won't crack, won't rip, none of that nonsense like some of the other options in the category
can do.
You don't have to worry about anything being UV-resistant as far as leather or vinyl is
concerned.
This has that really tough canvas material with a nice black low-profile finish.
Personally, I prefer this material over some of the vinyl or leather options out there,
simply because this feels like it's a lot more durable and it feels like it would hold
a lot more weight.
If you're located in wintery weather areas like we are, here on the East Coast, that
can go a long way with snow piling up here.
The low-profile look definitely goes a long way as well.
You don't want a bulky tonneau cover that sticks out a lot like a sore thumb.
This one is very sleek, very subtle, and gets the job done.
Now, here, this is gonna come in right around 540 bucks.
Again, one of the more top-of-the-line models.
You can get some of the more basic tonneau covers with non-UV-resistant leather or vinyl
casing that can be around the $200 to $300 range.
If you want something that's gonna last a lot longer, be a lot better quality, and latch
properly every time, this is a good way to go.
The installation here gets a very simple one out of three wrenches on our difficulty meter.
It's gonna use a simple clamping system to get on your beds with the siderails.
It's gonna use Velcro to snap into place along the sides, and a nice latching system down
here by the tailgate with one latch on the driver side to unleash it.
Once you do wanna roll it up, it'll simply roll all the way back, and you can strap it
back there if you wanna keep it open while you're driving.
There's also a built-in tensioning system on the ends by the tailgate here that can
help keep as much tension on there as you need, and it is adjustable with a flat-head
screwdriver.
The last thing I want to point out is that this is a roll-up-style tonneau cover, one
of the easier ones to use as far as designs are concerned.
There's also tri-fold, quad-fold, and a number of different types of tonneau covers out there
on the market and from Truxedo themselves.
So if roll-up isn't what you're looking for, there's definitely a ton of options out there
to fit your personal preference.
Now, I wanna show you guys how the installation gets done and, again, one out of three wrenches.
It'll take about 30, maybe 45 minutes from start to finish, and you need basic hand tools
like a ratchet and a 13-millimeter socket, as well as a 12-millimeter hex socket.
So without further ado, let me show you how it's done.
Tools used for this install are a ratchet, a 13-millimeter socket, 12-millimeter hex
socket, and flat-head screwdriver.
First step of the install, we're going to install our driver side bedrail on the side
of our bed here from TrueShield.
Now, you'll know it's very side-specific because this one has that latch.
This will always be on the driver side.
So what you're gonna do is line this up on the side of your bed.
Now, you want it to hang down and press up against the back bedrail.
So you'll press that up and put some tension on that.
Now, you'll see it has a little bit of a lip.
That lip's gonna come over top of the bedrail here, and it's gonna be the same all the way
down.
This padding bump stop is gonna press up against the inside of your tailgate.
So shut that, and it'll hold it in place.
Alright, the next step here, while still working on our driver side, is to grab three of our clamps
provided in the kit, and we're gonna tighten the new bedrail down to the side of our bed
here from underneath.
Now, these clamps come apart, twist, and they have a 13-millimeter bolt holding it through.
So you're gonna grab your 13 socket and ratchet, clamp the inside of your bed to the new bedrail
from TrueShield, and tighten it down with your ratchet.
You're gonna do one back here, one toward the middle, and one toward the front by the
tailgate.
Alright, now we can do the same thing on our passenger side by putting our new bedrail into place
against the side of our bed, and then shutting our tailgate.
Now, before we move any further, I wanted to make sure I pointed this out for you.
Now, at the front of your bed toward your cab, underneath the windshield, this strip
right here, you wanna make sure you're putting your weather-stripping in place.
We've already got ours in place from a previous tonneau cover install, but I wanted to show
you guys what's included in the kit.
Essentially, the same thing, another piece of weather-stripping.
Now, it's a little long.
You might have to trim it to get it to fit properly, but it does have the 3M tape backing.
So what you do is take alcohol wipes or a soap-and-water mixture and just completely
clean off the top of your bed here, where the weather-stripping is gonna sit.
So once you have that completely cleaned, free of all dirt and dust, just to make sure
this gets a good bonding, you're gonna peel off that 3M tape backing and line it into
place.
You'll start on one end and just run it all the way down.
If there is excess, you can grab a pair of scissors and just cut it right off.
Having this in place will make sure you have a really good, airtight, weather-stripped
seal.
No rain is gonna get in, no other weather elements.
If you're like us here, on the East Coast, you might see a lot of wintery weather during
those winter months.
This will make sure none of that snow or ice melts in here.
So make sure you have this in place before you move forward with the tonneau cover.
Alright, step number one here, when placing your tonneau cover into place, you wanna make sure it's
rolled all the way up, just like you see here, right as it's taken out of the box.
Same position.
So once you lay it across the top of your bed, you're gonna see there's sliding locking tabs
You wanna make sure these locking tabs are slid all the way to the inside of the tonneau cover
And there's a little Allen-head bolt.
That's gonna slide into the open oblong hole on the rails we just laid in our bed already.
So those slide into place.
We'll slide these to lock it, and then we're gonna twist this larger Allen-head bolt to
lock it firmly into place.
So first things first, let's lay the whole thing down.
Now that we have this laid into place, we're gonna slide our locking tab.
Now, the last step in locking this into place is tightening up this hex bolt here.
That'll press up against it and keep it tightly secured.
So grab a 12-millimeter hex socket and tighten this down.
Alright, you don't wanna overdo it.
Just put a little bit of tension on there to keep it tightly in there and move on to the next one.
Now, we can unroll our tonneau cover and work our way back to the tailgate.
Now, before you get all the way back to the tailgate, you'll notice that there are tension
rods set up on each side of the bedrail.
Now, you can use a flat-head screwdriver to adjust these tension rods.
But as it sits right now, if we were to unfold this all the way, you see that it doesn't
match up with this tension rod.
So we'll have to back that up a little bit.
So this will be a little bit of a trial and error just to see where it fits properly,
but you can loosen and tighten these tension rods to get it to fit.
Now, once you get all the way back to your tailgate with it open, you'll be able to see
that the edge of this is gonna grip into that latch on both sides.
You press down, and it locks into place.
Now, completely flat, you're ready to shut your tailgate.
Now, when it comes time to open this, once you pop your tailgate open, this latch here
is gonna release it.
So you're gonna pull this back toward you, and it opens it right up.
And you can just unfold it.
Alright, That's gonna wrap up my review and install of the Truxedo Pro X15 Soft-Roll Tonneau Cover,
available for the '15 to '18 F-150.
If you're looking for a bed cover to protect your cargo, give you a nice aerodynamic flow,
maybe actually increasing some fuel efficiency since there isn't as much drag on the back
of the tailgate, this is a great way to go.
And it's one of the top-of-the-line materials with a canvas topping instead of a leather
or vinyl material.
You can get this one right here at americantrucks.com.

See you guys soon
Its live buddy.
Live?
What happened? Just as he told
A new scientist unveiled his latest invention to the science & Technology conference audience last week.
He claims it the Time machine.
It looks like a wrist watch
Two such prototypes were showcased in the conference.
To test his invention, he called out for volunteers.
Unfortunately no body turned out.
Its live.
Hello.... Hi
The watch you gave me the day before
Yeah..
Where did you get it?
I got it from a conference.
What conference?
Kaala Chakram
What?
Oh no.
3 years of hardwork, went in to a drain.
Let us take a chance
Two minutes back in time.
It doesn't seem to work.
Thank god.
They seem to be blind
oh oh... I am not gonna hurt you.
Back to my home.
my work.
Its safe.
The bottle is full again.
Hey... Whats this.
This is the second prototype shown in the news.
How is it even here.
That means this is the place of invention.
Who can that possibly be.
In another 2 years, you are the one who is going to invent the time machine.
This seems to be the voice from hevens. Let us interact
If I am going to invent time machine in another 2 years, how can I get the same now.
I got it for you.
Hey.. How is that
He who can control the present and the past
The scientist you always want to be
The inverter of time machine.
That is me.
In the future, you are me.
I can't understand one thing. If you are me, then who am I?
In the past, I am you
All this looks like an old Telugu Song from Savitri movies
What is it?
You are yourself, we are ourself
How did I sing?
You sang exactly like Nageswara rao (the lead actor)
Is he prasing me or scolding me?
As such, scolding me is equivalent to scolding him self. He is me.
