We leverage Docebo heavily
when we intentionally grow and develop those top
stars that we have within the company.
A big focus is the succession plan
and they think just having Cineplex Academy and Docebo as part of this,
it allows us to say, "who are high potentials and how can we keep supporting them?"
The company has always been great about recognizing talent
and then approaching the talent and saying "hey there's something that's
probably gonna be available for you, you're gonna want to stick around"
or "here's an opportunity take a look at it."
We have what we call the Cineplex Talent Philosophy.
It was a set of guiding principles that we put together on
how we grow talent within the organization.
How do we get you out of a building where you're scooping popcorn
and ready for the role as a manager of operations, or is one of our field trainers.
There are so many success stories
of folks who have started at concession, scooping up popcorn, ripping tickets and they are
now heading up departments or in senior roles / specialized roles.
I did start off in a much more junior role.
So I actually started when I was a 16.
Yeah, from the bottom. Like literally at the concession stand, scooping popcorn, cleaning theaters.
It was never really a life plan for me but I've just found myself in all these different positions.
The crazy thing is it's the norm at Cineplex.
We had an aging LMS platform.
What we got 5 years ago is what we had still. You put content on there and that was it.
It really didn't deliver on all the other things that we wanted to do.
We needed to get away from that.
We don't need something formal and clunky and boring.
You know 10,000 of our employees are gonna be 16 up into their 20s.
They're gonna log in and they're gonna expect to see a platform like they're
used to seeing, where it's quick it's easy.
To move to a solution that was user-friendly with robust reporting capability...
it's like going from the medieval times to the 21st Century.
From the ground up they've built something on new technologies.
Things are clean and organized, it makes sense and you see your progress.
This is great. I love it, because it lines up perfectly
with our demographic, with what the company stands for, with how we want people to learn.
I think one of the biggest measures that we see for success is the
learner who keeps coming back in re-engaging with the platform. They go
to see if there's new content. Or they go to do more training.
They're just super engaged in what's going on and it's not because we're forcing them to go in.
So we're starting to see the people that want to be ahead.
That's the person you want to keep growing.
With Docebo what we were able to do is actually set
different tiers of groups based on people's current roles.
As they progress their learning progresses with them.
Docebo has opened up a lot for us.
I think that it's because of them that we have been so successful.
We could do it all because Docebo allowed for us to be able to do it all.
