Grew up eating mom's Caesar salad. Oh, I still have dreams about it. Ya know
It's delicious, but she puts oil, and I think she used to put eggs in it. There's tons of
Parmesan and dairy so about the sugar or two
She probably does actually put sugar in it. Oh, no she does I
Think she also used to put like Miracle Whip in it. Uh-huh
So as I've gotten older and have developed some food allergies like dairy
I was kind of forced to make my own vegan version of it, which is what we're gonna do today
I'm ready to eat well
We have to make it first and wait so at the end of the video
You have to promise to get like an honest opinion of if mine or mom's Caesar salad well. We already know whose is better
Okay, so here's what you're gonna need you're gonna be my bad away if you could just like hold everything
Be pretty ok so you've got 1 cup of raw cashews. I've soaked these overnight put those down Vanna
We've got some garlic. I love garlic some lemon ooh
Smells delicious, we've got some Dijon mustard
Keep it hot some sea salt
She's salty and then last but not least okay when I first started making this recipe I was using worse Schuster
Sauce this has anchovies in it, so if you're yeah, I know right a lot of Caesar salads

Just combine it all together, so if I could please get you to rip up the romaine lettuce into this bowl

Croutons ahead of time so you can make croutons at home
You can of course always just buy them at your local grocery store and then bacon bits, so I was able to find these amazing
Bacon bits there are back ins they're called back and they are vegetarian bacon bits. They're made from soy
I got these in Vancouver at the vegan supply store
so hopefully you live in Vancouver and you can buy these because they are amazing and they're like a
Game-changer for this Caesar salad, but I would imagine wherever you live you could probably find
Something like this like a vegetarian bacon bit, okay, so we're just gonna put on some south. I like it saucy get it in there

Smells like real bacon doesn't it tastes like real bacon it actually does okay, and now we're gonna toss in some croutons
