Youtube daily report Dec 22 2017

Every Harry Potter book has a unique approach to the Christmas season which I

find really great. They do something different for the holidays every year

and each one has its own story. So to celebrate the season as a very

enthusiastic Harry Potter fan, I wanted to take you back and look at what was

going on with Harry during each of the seven Christmases we spent with him.

Spoilers ahead if you haven't read the books! So for the first book,

Philosopher's Stone or Sorcerer's Stone, Harry spent the holidays at Hogwarts

this year with Ron. Hermione went home and I believe Percy, Fred, and George were

there as well. This is the year that they all got Weasley sweaters, Harry learned

what a Weasley sweater was, and he also got the invisibility cloak which his

father had left for him. Which of course he ended up using to sneak around

Hogwarts at night and he ended up discovering the mirror of Erised

which wasn't such a good thing for an 11-year old boy to find. The book says

that they had a meal of turkey sandwiches, crumpets, trifle, and Christmas

cake. In year two during Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Harry, Ron and

Hermione stayed at Hogwarts during the holiday season. This year, they spent

their time off from school brewing the Polyjuice potion in myrtle's bathroom

which Hermione finished on Christmas Day and as we know, it ended up with her

turning partially into a cat and spending the rest of her holidays in the

hospital wing. Christmas year 3 during Prisoner of Azkaban is when Harry

receives the firebolt in the mail from an unknown sender. Hermione assumes that

it's Sirius Black, which, she is correct but at this time they think he's a

murderer and so Hermione ends up reporting the

gift to McGonagall. In this book, we also get to see Hogsmeade at Christmas for

the first time and it's described as looking like a Christmas card.

there are Holly wreaths on the doors and strings of enchanted candles hanging in

the trees. Sounds amazing. Goblet of Fire, the fourth book, actually most of the

student body ends up staying at the school this year for the holidays

because the Yule Ball happens on Christmas Day! Which I thought was really

exciting, we end up getting to see all of this drama that isn't life-threatening

and I thought that that was pretty fun! They're all pairing off and they're

learning how to dance and Neville ends up coming back super

late after everyone else has gone to bed which nobody expected. I love that little

detail. I thought that year 5 was an especially poignant Christmas. This is

the one where they end up going to st. Mungo's

hospital to see Arthur Weasley who had been hurt by Nagini and this is

where we find out the heartbreaking truth about what happened to Neville's

parents, so we get kind of a look into his family life for the first time. Order

of the Phoenix is a really dark book and I feel like the way that JK Rowling

chose to handle the holidays was very, I don't know, kind of realistic. The

Christmas season can be sad for a lot of people for a lot of reasons and I'm

really glad that she had one year where that was the case. They spend the rest of

the holidays at 12 Grimmauld place and it's the first we see where Harry

doesn't spend it at Hogwarts, which he is okay with because Umbridge is the worst.

But even though Harry is surrounded by friends and chosen family, he ends up

sulking and staying by himself for a lot of the holiday because he is feeling

really guilty about what happened to Arthur and he thinks that it's his fault.

And now for the sixth year, Harry spends Christmas during half-blood Prince at

the Burrow with the Weasleys. In this one, Molly Weasley is disappointed because

her son Percy won't be joining them for the holidays, and what do you know, he

shows up anyway but with Rufus Scrimgeour, the Minister of Magic, and it

turns out that they only came because they heard that Harry would be there and

they wanted to try and persuade him to cooperate with the ministry, which thank

goodness, he says no. Notable gifts this year include Ron's my sweetheart

necklace from lavender Brown and of course, Harry's parcel full of maggots

from the wonderful Kreacher the house elf, which Harry says he actually prefers

to Ron's necklace. And for the final one in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows,

Harry and Hermione are on the run and they end up, where else, but Godric's

Hollow which is where Harry's childhood home is

and he ends up seeing the graveyard where his parents are buried. They get

attacked by, for me, the most terrifying thing in any of the Harry Potter books,

Nagini the snake hidden inside of the dead skin suit of Bathilda Bagshot

reanimated by Lord Voldemort. I did not like this part. Then Ron comes back

surprise! and destroys the locket Horcrux. And those are all seven

Christmases that appear in the Harry Potter series! Since I've reread the

books a bunch of times, I like going back and reminding myself of some of the

moments that maybe don't always stick out in my memory. I like that JK Rowling

always included the holidays in one way or another and we got some pretty great

stories around their time off from school. Which was your favorite year for

Christmas in Harry Potter and why? For me it's between the Yule

Ball in year four, which is just so fun, and the visit to st. Mungo's in year

five because it's so heartbreaking. I hope that you're having a magical

holiday season, thanks for watching, and I'll see you soon.

Katarinske kupanie Drazdiak | Katarina nameday bathing in Drazdiak lake 25.11.2017 - Duration: 8:04.

Hi there, I'm at Drazdiak lake,

and we're going to "Katarina bathing"

with my friends,

walking behind me.

- Hello guys! - Hello.

So we are all looking forward to...?

- to the water! - hot tea.

Let's go for it.

- Who is looking forward to the bath? - Everyone! :)

And who really goes to the water?

Hand up!

Fantastic. Good.

We'll try it to our ankles, at least. :)

I'm not sure if I turn back home :)

No, you can't do it.

So, let's do it.

Who is going to the water?

Will we sing the anthem (of ice bears)?

Today, more of us have come.

Little duck measures the water temperature.

So, do we have 5 minutes?

- Yes. - Woohoo.

Let's make a photo.

Now we make a common photo.

Water was fantastic and icy.

I'm glad that we could make some video,

that we caught some light, yet.

I'm gonna warm up,

and then we'll continue in the restaurant,

as a small Katarina's nameday party.

So I'm glad that we could meet together.

I'm looking forward to the next bathing.

Water was about 9° C,

air has about 10° C,

So it is fine and adequate.

I'm happy, it was amazing.

So, Katka, for you today...

best wishes to you.

Is someone here with Parkinson's?

This is very authentic video :)

What a shakiness :)

Hm, ice bear with hat. Thank you!

Cheers!

Katka...

cheers, to your health.

And let us meet like this often.

Yes!

We have to make some event on St. Nicolaus' day.

- Surely. - In hats.

And some questions... how was it in the water?

It was amazing.

Very fine.

- Did you like it? - Yes, indeed.

Have you been just like that, or did you swim?

I swam, too. Like a fish. :D

Yes, that's good.

So are you satisfied with bathing?

Yes, I'm very satisfied.

So, as you can see, today, there are more of us.

Jozko, what about you?

Really amazing, it was fantastic.

Very good, warm water.

What about water, was it bearable for you?

Really warm water... yet.

So you enjoy it, still, right?

Yes, I can still feel adrenaline.

Yes, I pretty enjoy it.

Great, I'm glad.

So, I'm going to enjoy my beer.

Cheers!

Good one.

The Beatles - Unboxing Christmas Records - Duration: 5:48.

Hello my friends, we are about to see

the Christmas record collection, as many of you know they were originally

a 7 flexi disc collection, given to the members of the Beatle fan club

with Xmas messages until now I only had this Japanese bootleg

with all the Xmas records and some bonus tracks

I'll show a bit of this Japanese booklet

here you have all the original covers and flexi disks pictures

this is the CD holder and we are listening it on the background

and here are some Japanese notes

now I'm so happy because this one has just arrived

this package with this year re-ed Beatle Xmas records

on December 15th worldwide, the first official re-ed

since long time ago, releasing

colored 7" vinyl records for each flexi disk let's unbox this one

to see what is it like, I received this one yesterday

but I could not make a video to share with you

here it is the Xmas records, the place where

I could see it cheaper was Amazon, here it is it's beautiful

I'm so glad and happy, these are the 7 Xmas records

colored vinyl and this time

I'm going to open them, let's take a look

what we are listening on the background is the 63 Xmas record the first one

I think it was a good idea to make them on colored vinyl, I think it's striking

let's see inside, I've heard on the internet that people

are complaining about the box quality, but I don't see anything wrong

as I told you before the cheapest place to buy this in Mexico is Amazon

I paid 80 USD for this and 4 USD as shipping cost I think it was bargain

this is the booklet

I'm so happy to add this to my collection, 'cause I only had the bootleg I showed you before

here they are, the Xmas record from 63, I've never seen the picture on the back cover

this is the 64 Xmas record

the 65 one, 66, 67

and the 68 one, for this one each Beatle

recorder his message separately, by then you could notice the band was breaking up

they didn't work together on the Xmas record each one sent their message separately

the same for the 69 Xmas record, with some drawings by *Zak Starkey* on the back

that is all, Happy Xmas, and keep collecting!

SCIENTISTS GIVEN GREEN LIGHT TO CREATE AIR TRANSMISSIBLE EBOLA - Duration: 4:33.

Esoteric Meaning Of Christmas And The Winter Solstice

by Gregg Prescott,

The origins of Christmas predate Christianity through the Pagan holiday called Saturnalia,

which was a week-long of lawlessness from December 17th through December 25th that honored

Saturn and included human sacrifice, intoxication, naked caroling and rape.

During these seven days, there were no punishments for breaking any laws, according to Roman

law.

In the year 4 A.D., Christianity adopted Saturnalia with the hopes that they could convert the

Pagans into Christianity by promising that they could still celebrate Saturnalia as Christians.

(Imagine how that would work out today).

Because Saturnalia did not follow Christian principles, the Christian leaders designated

the last day of Saturnalia as the birth date of Jesus.

Because of the Pagan origins of Christmas, the Puritans banned this holiday and between

1659 and 1681, Christmas was illegal in Massachusetts.

Because of the Pagan origins of Christmas, the Puritans banned this holiday and between

1659 and 1681, Christmas was illegal in Massachusetts.

In 1466, the Roman Catholic Church, under Pope Paul II, forced Jews to run through the

city naked as a tribute to Saturnalia.

According to author David I. Kertzer, The Popes Against the Jews: The Vaticans Role

in the Rise of Modern Anti-Semitism, Before they were to run, the Jews were richly fed,

so as to make the race more difficult for them and at the same time more amusing for

spectators.

They ran amid Romes taunting shrieks and peals of laughter, while the Holy Father stood

upon a richly ornamented balcony and laughed heartily.

It is important to note that in Astrotheology, Saturn is Satan.

The rings we give during a wedding ritual represent the rings of Saturn.

The word Saturday originates from the Old English word that means Saturns day.

To this day, many people continue to unknowingly celebrate Saturnalia through their participation

in debauchery and gluttony.

According to wiki, the etymology of Christmas stems from the Old English word of Cristesmsse,

which literally means Christs mass.

Christmas is derived from the Middle English Cristemasse, which is from Old English Cristesmsse,

a phrase first recorded in 1038.

Crist (genitive Cristes) is from Greek Khristos, a translation of Hebrew Maa?, Messiah;

and msse is from Latin missa, the celebration of the Eucharist.

The form Christenmas was also historically used, but is now considered archaic and dialectal;

it derives from Middle English Cristenmasse, literally Christian mass.

Xmas is an abbreviation of Christmas found particularly in print, based on the

initial letter chi (?) in Greek Khristos (???st??), Christ, though numerous style guides

discourage its use; it has precedent in Middle English ??es masse (where ?? is

an abbreviation for ???st??).

Saturn(alia) In Churches Astonishingly, Saturn is depicted in Christian

art in various churches.

On the ceiling of St. Andrews church on Waterloo Street in East Sussex, there is a painting

showing the sun surrounded by stars, a comet, a crescent moon and Saturn.

Keep in mind that in astrotheology, Saturn is Satan.

showing the sun surrounded by stars, a comet, a crescent moon and Saturn.

The inner circle of 12 stars most likely represents the 12 apostles surrounding the sun/son, which

is another astrotheological reference for Jesus Christ being the SUN of god.

The outer circle contains 9 stars, the crescent eclipse of the moon, Saturn and a comet that

appears to perhaps be diving toward the sun.

The 9 stars plus Saturn may represent the 10 planets in our solar system, if Nibiru

is counted as one of those stars.

The moon represents the Divine Feminine and the Virgin Mother.

The Basics Each season is reflected by the tilt and spin

of the Earths axis resulting with the sun being more prominent in the northern hemisphere

for half of the year and in the southern hemisphere for the other half.

The winter solstice occurs in winter when the sun has reached its lowest elevation reflected

with the fewest amount of daylight hours and the greatest amount of nighttime hours around

December 21st.

Our seasons are reflected by the amount of sun and darkness that we receive:

Autumn Equinox daily sunlight is waning, day and night is equal in length

Winter Solstice the shortest day of the year

Spring Equinox daily sunlight is waxing, day and night are equal in length

Summer Solstice the longest day of the year

Pagans and Christians alike celebrate their holidays on sacred, astrological dates and

Christmas is no exception.

This particular holiday was has been celebrated for much longer by the ancients as one of

the four great festivals that reflect each season through astrology and astronomy.

Also see:Why Is The Popes Mitre Shaped Like A Fish?

Esoteric Meaning of the Winter Solsitce Various mystery schools have also celebrated

the change of seasons in association with the various astrological signs that fall on

the spring and fall equinoxes as well as the summer and winter solistices.

In an esoteric sense, the suns cycle represents your souls growth in consciousness along

with the illumination of your soul.

To envision this, imagine that Spring is the birth of your soul.

Once you have reached Summer, your soul begins its decent from its spiritual home into incarnating

to this planet.

As the days begin to get shorter beginning on the Summer solstice, the decrease in sunlight

represents the veil of forgetfulness where we do not remember why we came here or what

our purpose is.

As the days become longer beginning on the Winter solstice, your soul is released from

its physical presence and makes its ascension back to its spiritual home with Source.

On the Wheel of Life, winter is the season of rest and represents preparation for renewed

life, similar to how some animals go into hibernation.

It is also known as the time of germination as spring brings the flowering of plant life

that follows the maturation process into summer; autumn gives us our crops (along with new

seeds) and we return to winter to complete the full cycle and prepare for renewed life.

Of the four sacred directions and cardinal colors, winter is represented by the North

and the color blue, which in Cherokee, literally means cold.

The seasons teach us a lot about the process of birth, life, death and rebirth.

Alchemy provides the saying, As above, so below.

Think of this along the lines of how we came here and how we leave this vessel.

After the sperm fertilizes the egg, we go through a maturation process that is identical

to the exact number of days of both the maturation of corn from a seed along with the gestation

period for a woman to give birth to a child.

The child travels down the birth canal (the tunnel) as the child is brought from darkness

to birth (the light).

As confirmed through near death experiences, we follow the same process of going through

a tunnel and following the light back to Source.

In a grander scheme, this cycle is repeated through seasons and our personal lives from

birth to death, proving how our life is simply a mere fractal of the universe, the cosmos

and ultimately, of Source.

The Winter solstice falls under the sign of Capricorn, which represents materialism and

ego.

In astrotheology, this is the time when Jesus (the Sun) indulges in materialism (Capricorn)

after leaving his fathers home.

It is also the time when Jesus (the Sun) dies on the cross (where the sun remains on the

Southern Cross constellation) for three days, only to be reborn again (as the days begin

to get longer after this 3 day period).

What religion fails to teach us are the esoteric and occult meanings of the equinoxes and solstices.

Adepts of mystery schools and practitioners of the occult sciences can also attest to

the cosmic currents and life force of each season.

The following excerpt from Esoteric (Soul) Astrology best explains this process:

All of nature responds to these currents.

It is only the human family that has forgotten, because it can no longer see the inner side

of reality.

The light forces are moving either toward or outward from Earth.

This is what creates our seasons.

The path of the Sun is intricately involved in the movement of the light currents that

fall to Earth.

During Fall Equinox, light from the Sun penetrates the outer atmospheric layers of Earth.

At Winter Solstice, the light penetrates into the core of our globe.

From a distance outside our solar system, Earth looks like a fiery sphere spinning in

the heavens.

During the Spring Equinox, the light once again is on the periphery of Earth, and at

Summer Solstice, the light is high in the heavens.

Note that the light is deep within the core of Earth during winter and high in the heavens

during summer.

This is both a metaphor and a reality on inner levels.

We can minister to our own personal psychology if we attune ourselves to the influences of

the different radiances of light falling to Earth each month and during the solstices

and equinoxes.

Light waves descending to and ascending outward from Earth are an occult fact, meaning an

inner reality not seen by most.

Those of us desiring a more complete communion with spiritual forces must come to intelligent

terms with this reality, for it is the movement of these ever-changing currents of light poured

upon Earth that provide our evolutionary growth.

These surges of power propel all kingdoms on Earth upward, lift the spinal spirit fire

of the body into the heart and head centers, and have the effect of providing illumination

for those of us who have prepared through intelligence and intention to participate.

The Winter Solstice has historically been the time of birth for all of Earths great

teachers.

Because it is the time of new light for the planet, World Teachers choose this particular

time to incarnate because they always bring with them a new teaching.

This teaching is a new state of illumination for the people of Earth.

Winter Solstice occurs on December 21, the same time that the planetary keynote changes

from Sagittarius to Capricorn.

At the time of the Winter Solstice, the light currents submerged within the core of the

Earth reverse and change course, just like the Sun, which is reversing its southward

course and turning northward.

A reverse movement of any planetary body creates a powerful force until the new motion or path

stabilizes.

Therefore, from December 21 to midnight on the morning of December 25th, there is a powerful

force field of light and radiation enveloping the Earth.

While people argue over ethnic sensitivity issues between saying Merry Christmas

versus Happy Holidays, the truth dates back much further than its Christian beginnings.

The intent of Christmas seems to be the overriding value behind its true, esoteric meaning or

its Pagan origin.

A symbol or celebration is only as powerful as the intent behind it.

While Christmas has become the biggest holiday that supports the corporate world which in

turn, lobbies against our civil rights, it also is a time of giving and being with family.

The real reason Mohamed Salah missed Liverpool training ahead of Arsenal clash ● News Now ● #LFC - Duration: 1:46.

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah is fit to feature in the side's clash with Arsenal.

Salah has made an appearance in every Premier League match for the Reds so far this season,

but there had been fears over the 25-year-old's hamstring ahead of Friday night's showdown.

The Egyptian forward was missing as Jurgen Klopp's players posed for festive squad

photograph on Wednesday evening, sparking rumours that he could miss the match with

Arsenal.

According to the Liverpool Echo, though, Salah is fit to face the Gunners at the Emirates,

much to the relief of the Merseyside giants.

It's understood he was absent from the photo as he had to return to his homeland to be

unveiled as Vodafone Egypt's brand ambassador.

The trip took place just 48 hours before Liverpool's clash with Arsene Wenger's side.

The ex-Roma forward has scored 20 goals in 26 appearances since his summer move to Liverpool

in the summer transfer window.

Salah's strike in a 4-0 thumping of Bournemouth meant he became the first Liverpool player

to score 20 goals since Ian Rush back in 1986.

Adam Lallana and Joel Matip are both in contention to feature

at the Emirates.

SCIENTISTS GIVEN GREEN LIGHT TO CREATE AIR TRANSMISSIBLE EBOLA - Duration: 4:29.

SCIENTISTS GIVEN GREEN LIGHT TO CREATE AIR TRANSMISSIBLE EBOLA AND WEAPONIZED GERMS

BY Heather Callaghan,

Three years ago, several mishaps occurred with vials of viruses that could have been

potential bioweapons in the wrong hands.

A moratorium on deadly virus creation was installed, but the ban was just reversed on

Tuesday allowing scientists to begin manipulating benign pathogens into deadly, epidemic-worthy

human disease.

Not only do the scientists want permission to create with abandon, theyd like to keep

the results secret i.e., keep them unpublished so that the work doesnt get into the

wrong hands and cause an act of bioterror Now that the government has lifted the ban,

scientists essentially have carte blanche to breed laboratory horrors.

New York Times Reports:

Federal officials on Tuesday ended a moratorium imposed three years ago on funding research

that alters germs to make them more lethal.

Such work can now proceed, said Dr. Francis S. Collins, the head of the National Institutes

of Health, but only if a scientific panel decides that the benefits justify the risks.

Some scientists are eager to pursue these studies because they may show, for example,

how a bird flu could mutate to more easily infect humans, or could yield clues to making

a better vaccine.

Critics say these researchers risk creating a monster germ that could escape the lab and

seed a pandemic. Now, a government panel will require that researchers show that their studies

in this area are scientifically sound and that they will be done in a high-security

lab.

The pathogen to be modified must pose a serious health threat, and the work must produce knowledge

such as a vaccine that would benefit humans.

Finally, there must be no safer way to do the research.

These projects known as gain of function research are intended to make pathogens

more deadly or more transmissible supposedly for the purposes of study.

Consider this, however: the government has been studying pathogen manipulation for bioweapons

even testing some germs on Americans at least as far back as 60 years ago.

Some examples of new viruses could be air-transmissible Ebola, the flu virus, Middle East respiratory

syndrome (MERS) and severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) or any pathogen at all

that can be manipulated to form a deadly human virus.

Turns Out the Moratorium on Lethal Virus Creation Was Largely Bypassed

Although the previous moratorium halted 21 projects, 10 of them were still allowed to

continue.

Scientist Want Results to Be Known Only on A Need-to-Know Basis

If someone finds a way to make the Ebola virus more dangerous, I dont believe that

should be available to anybody off the street who could use it for nefarious purposes,

said the director of the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy at the University

of Minnesota.

Government and academic actions like the above serve to create fear and powerlessness among

the masses.

It also gets them used to the idea and will soften any outrage should mishaps inevitably

occur.

Modern television and movies (Stephen Kings The Stand is being remade) serve as predictive

programming, the purpose of which is to get people acclimated to massive change before

it happens.

Additionally, another stated reason for this yearning to create lethal viruses is to be

able to create vaccines for them.

Coincidentally scientists have already created air-transmissible vaccines for viruses.

Interesting coincidence, no?

Not only is it impossible to refuse a vaccine that is disseminated in the air, but an outbreak

would create an ostensible and urgent warrant for them.

Just one last note the very last person to die from small pox died in 1978 due to

a laboratory version of the virus escaping through an air vent

L'gosseux d'bois Ep 158 - Je fabrique un Cryptex en bois - Duration: 15:42.

Hi, on The woodpecker this week, I make a cryptex.

This is the 3D model of the Cryptex I did,

just like in The Da Vinci Code movie. This was my son's Christmas gift last year.

But to be honest, this wasn't what I had in mind.

I wanted to make a perpetual motion machine; but it didn't work.

So I made another one, and that one didn't work either..

So I decided to make something different, and guess what?

You're right it didn't work either.

But this didn't stop me; I made a fourth one, which looks pretty similar to the second one.

You can see it at the top left of the screen, but just like the others; it didn't work.

I didn't want to quit just yet, so I made this totally different model;

but just like the others, it didn't work...

Then I make part of another model that I saw on the net,

but I guess they had a motor driving it.

That's when I decided to make a Cryptex; at least this is simple to make.

So after drawing what I want, I look around for some scrap wood and start the build.

I begin by surfacing a piece of walnut.

But my wood is way too thick; I rip it thinner.

I rip it just a bit thicker than three quarter.

I finish the cut with the band saw.

But this leaves a less than perfect surface, so I go back to the jointer and sand all the pieces to the right thickness.

My drum sander leaves nasty scratches so I always need to use a hand sander to finish the job.

Now that I have all the wood I need, I can start.

The first thing I do, is cut the patterns I made.

Then, I stick them on the wood I want to use.

When the patterns are all in place, I put packing tape on top,

but to be honest; it was useless.

Then, I just cut all the parts that I'll be using.

After marking the centre of all the rings, I drill a small hole right through.

Now I need to drill a big shallow half inch hole in the middle of each ring.

To figure the depth, I lay the bit on top of the wood, and adjust the drill press stop with a half inch setup block.

Then I can drill all seven holes.

On the other side, I drill a smaller hole.

Then I roughly cut each ring.

Ok, I have all the rings I need. I just need to make them round.

So, after making sure the sander table is square, I sand all of them up to the line.

But when I'm done, nothing is holding the rings together.

So I rout a quarter inch rabbet all around each one.

Now that they fit into each other perfectly,

I go back to the sander, just to be sure they're the same size.

Now, I can sand them smooth.

I don't need the patterns anymore so I remove them.

One of my patterns is the space in between each letter, I cut it and use it to mark the space for each letter.

Then I make small lines with the scroll saw.

After the rings' final sanding, I can mark the lettering.

But writing them by hand looks awful so I use some letter stamps.

This is the kit I found.

Applying the letters is quite simple, but it's true this kit is mostly for young children...

When I'm done with the letters, I can start working on both ends.

I begin by ripping a strip of walnut.

Then I rip it thinner.

Now I can cut two squares.

I mark the centre of each one.

On one of them, I drill a shallow hole

and on the other one, a through hole.

I use the through hole to help me drill a big hole from both sides of the square.

I carve a woodpecker on the other square.

A wooden tube will be inserted inside the rings,

so I'll turn one from this piece of wood.

The first thing I do, is cut all four corners.

Then I turn it round.

I stop from time to time to check if the rings will fit over the cylinder.

I stop from time to time to check if the rings will fit over the cylinder.

After measuring the depth of the hole, I cut it just a little bit longer.

This will be A1.

The cylinder will be inside the rings and the ends will be just like that.

But to keep the ends together, I need to drill a hole in each corner.

Then I round each one.

Finally, I rout a roundover around each end.

Last thing to do, is a little hand sanding.

Now I need to cut a small disk, which will help me align the first ring.

After drilling a hole in its centre, I apply a bit of glue and screw it to the end.

Then, I can glue the first ring and apply clamp pressure.

Another ring is glued onto the end which has a big hole,

and just like for the other ring, I apply clamp pressure.

Now, I need to take care of the cylinder cap.

I begin by turning a piece of maple, to the size I want the cap to be.

When I'm happy with its shape, I sand it real nice,

turn it around and make the tenon that will be inside the cylinder.

That is how everything will go together.

But the end of the cylinder needs a little bit of work.

Now, I can mark where I need to put some nails to lock this.

All done; but the lines are misaligned.

I trace them better and find the bit size I need for the nails that I'll be using and drill six holes, taking care to drill them in a straight line.

Now I have to erase all the lines.

Then I can cut an opening to access the inside of the cylinder.

But I have a hard time starting the cut.

Eventually, I manage to cut an opening; but not without damaging the exterior.

I really don't like that...

So I make a brand new cylinder.

But this time, to help me, I make the first cut with a hand saw before returning to the scroll saw.

But if I had to do this again, I would just use a fret saw; that way I would have more control over the cut.

Now I can glue the nails in place.

I pour instant glue inside the holes and drive the nails in place.

When the glue is dry, I cut the nails

and sand them to the same height.

Then I round over their tip.

Now, I can glue the cylinder and its cap together.

While the glue dries, I mark the secret code inside each ring

and cut a notch at the scroll saw.

This is how the inside looks now.

With all the notches aligning, I can insert the cylinder in place.

But to finish this, I need four corner posts.

I begin by measuring the length I need and cut the four dowels.

But when I try to insert them in their holes, they don't fit. They're just a tad too big.

I fix this right away.

After a last dry fit, I'm ready to glue the Cryptex.

I begin by gluing the four posts on one walnut end.

Then I can spray the first coat of lacquer.

When I spray the dowels, I cover their other ends to make sure no finish ends up there.

When the lacquer is really dry, I glue everything together.

But when I'm done, I have a major problem;

I can't open the Criptex...

I have no mark on the cylinder cap telling me where the nails should be aligned.

I'm forced to take this apart.

Luckily for me, the glue wasn't totally set yet.

Then, I scratch a fine line on the cylinder cap. So fine it's even hard to see.

Then I re-assemble it again.

When the glue is dry, I spray another coat of finish.

The next day, I apply wax on the cylinder's exterior, to help it turn better.

And with that, Franky's Christmas present is finished.

At this exact moment, I knew he would love it.

Look at his face on Christmas eve.

It took him an hour to find the solution, and that's because Renée showed him the scratch.

One thing I can say is that I had more fun making this Criptex than all the failed perpetual motion machines.

And maybe I've managed to inspire you to also make a Criptex as a Christmas present.

But until then you can still follow me on The Woodpecker.

Last day in the Philippines, CORON - Duration: 5:28.

This is continuation of the Vlog. it is our second-day shipping

With Richmond, near Coron city. we went towards the east and now we are moving towards the west

to see what we have to do. We stay 3 more days here

and finally three days, when you do the "island hopping", you have to occupy your days

Here we found the solution. We are far from the city:

50 km of Coron City westward. we just got on a small beach, weather's not so good but there are locals

There is just that Richmond, the bike and me

and yeah we'll go with them. I think we vill film and I think we

will go to them also speak a little bit. Then I think we'll go straight to waterfalls

Great time with the kids!

It's so funny. This is typically the example of moments you can have with the Filipino children.

They are all very nice, those are childrens of the village

right now we are moving towards the waterfalls

To the east.

Then it will be time for us to go. This last day is memorable in the Philippines!

Super good day here in Coron

It is heading up there on the hills

In order to appreciate the sunset. This is my last night in the Philippines!

It was again an amazing day

We start climbing Mount Typias

To finish this Vlog. To finish this adventure in the Philippines!

What a final! You'll see why

It had to happen. Forgot the joystick to operate the drone.

The sunset is amazing, I'll have to take ...

Vlog It is finished! For this last day here

Another will follow about my return to France. Do not hesitate to subscribe

Like this video, follow me on social networks if you liked. Ciao guys!

Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer | Bob The Train | Kindergarten Nursery Rhymes For Toddlers by Kids TV - Duration: 2:40.

Hey kids!

"Look at Rudolf, The red nosed reindeer!"

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer had a very shiny nose

And if you ever saw it you would even say it glows

All of the other reindeer Used to laugh and call him names

They never let poor Rudolph join in any reindeer games

Then one foggy Christmas Eve, Santa came to say,

Rudolph with your nose so bright, won't you guide my sleigh tonight

Then all the reindeer loved him as they shouted out with glee

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer you'll go down in history
