Hi, I'm Francis, the host of this show "Cooking with Dog."

Konnichiwa. In the cold season, let's make hot Cabbage Rolls to help us keep warm and relax.

First, let's cook the cabbage.

Insert the blade of the knife along the core,

and remove it from the cabbage.

Removing the core at this stage

makes it easy to separate each leaf later.

Place the cabbage in a bowl

and cover it with 2 sheets of plastic wrap crosswise.

Microwave the cabbage at 600 watts for 10 minutes.

Then, flip it over and cook for 5 to 6 more minutes.

Leave the cabbage in the microwave for about 5 minutes

and remove.

Now, the bottom of the cabbage should be soft as shown.

Carefully detach each leaf to avoid breaking it.

If some soil remains on the surface, lightly rinse it away.

Remove the moisture with a clean kitchen towel.

Then, trim off the firm stalk.

Place the cabbage leaves onto a tray.

If the cabbage is still firm,

microwave it for 3 more minutes at a time.

Repeat the process until you have 17 leaves.

The cabbage we used is 1.6kg (3.5 lb),

but even if your cabbage is 1.2kg (2.6 lb),

you should be able to get at least 17 leaves.

You can use the remaining cabbage

in gyoza filling or vegetable soup.

Let's make the meat filling.

Add the milk to the panko, Japanese breadcrumbs.

Stir to combine.

Then, let it sit for about 1 minute.

Next, place the ground beef and pork in a bowl

and add the salt and pepper.

With your hand, squish the meat to mix.

Add the panko moistened with milk

and egg.

Squeeze the mixture to combine all the ingredients.

Then, loosely spread your fingers forming a rake shape

to thoroughly mix the meat until it turns gooey.

This will help to combine the ingredients.

Add the chopped onion.

Roughly mix and blend the onion with the meat.

Finally, divide the meat mixture into 8 portions.

Let's wrap the meat filling.

Pound the firm bottom part of the cabbage leaves to soften.

This will make it easy to wrap the filling,

but be careful not to break the leaves.

You will be using 2 leaves, both a small size and a large size,

to make each cabbage roll.

Place the smaller leaf on top of the large cabbage leaf,

and spoon one-eighth of the meat mixture onto it.

Wrap the meat with the small leaf.

The leaves may have some slits,

but using 2 sheets of cabbage

will help to wrap the meat tightly and evenly.

Next, cover it with the bottom part of the large cabbage leaf.

Fold both sides of the large leaf.

Then, tightly roll the inner cabbage roll to avoid loosening.

Even if the outer leaf breaks while cooking,

the meat is still kept in the cabbage.

Additionally, you can enjoy lots of cabbage,

so we recommend wrapping it with 2 leaves.

Fasten the edge of the leaf with a bamboo stick.

With the closed side facing down,

arrange all the cabbage rolls in a slow cooker.

You can also tie the cabbage roll using a piece of long pasta.

Avoid leaving gaps between the cabbage rolls.

If there are spaces,

the leaves will easily come loose while cooking

so choose the size of the slow cooker or pot wisely.

Add the tomato sauce.

Add hot water until the cabbage rolls are submerged.

Add the bacon strips,

chopped bouillon cube

and bay leaf.

Cover the ingredients with the last cabbage leaf,

but you can skip this if there aren't any left.

Place a drop-lid on top and cover the slow cooker with a lid.

Cook on high heat for 3 hours

until the cabbage leaves become tender.

Now, the cabbage has softened completely.

Remove the covering cabbage leaf

and bay leaf.

After testing the sauce, adjust the taste with salt and pepper.

Using tongs, place 2 cabbage rolls onto a plate.

Don't forget to remove the bamboo sticks.

Ladle the sauce over the cabbage rolls.

Finally, sprinkle on grated Parmesan cheese

and chopped parsley leaves.

You can also add finely chopped carrot and mushrooms

to the meat filling, making a slightly different version quickly.

The cabbage simmered on low heat is so tender and sweet!

If you don't have a slow cooker,

cook it in a heavy pot on low heat for at least 40 minutes to 1 hour.

At the beginning of this movie, Simon Pegg's cop character gets stabbed in the hand by

an unhinged Santa Claus. Santa's face is obscured by a beard, but that psychotic Father Christmas

is Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson, who was friendly with Hot Fuzz director Edgar

Wright. After Jackson invited Wright to visit the set of King Kong, Wright returned the

favor by extending an invite to the set of his film, where Jackson volunteered to do

a cameo. The scene was shot after Jackson had lost a great deal of weight and shaved

his beard, which means the director wore a phony fat suit for his big moment onscreen.

Cate Blanchett, Hot Fuzz

Peter Jackson wasn't the only big Hollywood name to pop up in this British cop comedy.

In another scene, Simon Pegg's character meets up with his ex-girlfriend, an investigator

named Janine—who's played by Cate Blanchett. Blanchett was a big fan of Edgar Wright's

zombie comedy Shaun of the Dead, and when she met him at a party, he offered her a cameo…

only one in which her face would be totally obscured, just because he thought it would

be funny to cast an Oscar winner in a role where she'd be completely unrecognizable.

In this 1994 big-screen remake of a classic TV comic western, Maverick is in a bank when

a robbery goes down. Leading the crooks is a guy who uses a red bandana to cover up his

face—he wouldn't want to be noticed, after all. The scarf also did a pretty good job

of concealing the identity of the actor playing the bandit: Mel Gibson's Lethal Weapon co-star

Danny Glover.

Stephen Spielberg, The Blues Brothers

This film featured a marvelous roster of legendary blues and R&B musicians including Ray Charles,

Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Cab Calloway, and John Lee Hooker. But also making an appearance

is director Steven Spielberg, who struck up a friendship with Dan Akroyd and John Belushi

a year earlier and appears here as a clerk in a county assessor's office.

Dan Akroyd, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom

After Steven Spielberg cameoed in Dan Aykroyd's movie, Aykroyd returned the favor. At the

very beginning of the second Indiana Jones adventure, a mustachioed British man helps

arrange transportation for Indy at an airport — with one minor caveat.

"There might be a slight inconvenience as you will be riding on a cargo full of live

poultry."

Of course, not even a silly accent can entirely mask Akroyd's distinctive voice, which makes

this one cameo that's easier to spot than the rest.

Bill Murray, Dumb and Dumber To

This sequel to the classic idiot flick Dumb and Dumber was written and directed by Bobby

and Peter Farrelly, who also directed Bill Murray in their 1996 bowling comedy Kingpin.

Like Hot Fuzz director Edgar Wright, the Farrelly brothers thought it would be amusing to cast

a very well-known actor in the role of Icepick, Harry's roommate, whose identity is completely

concealed with a breathing apparatus throughout his one scene — and Murray was happy to

trade his Kingpin combover for a hazmat suit.

When the new installment of this beloved franchise hit theaters in 2015, it was full of secret

cameos from actors who just wanted to be a part of the fun. So when Rey trades salvaged

parts to this Jakku junk dealer in exchange for rations, there's actually a familiar face

under all that latex, padding, and CGI: actor, writer, and total Star Wars superfan Simon

Pegg.

And he's not the only one! Remember the stormtrooper who releases Rey in this pivotal scene?

"And you'll drop your weapon!"

That's James Bond himself, Daniel Craig, trading his dinner jacket for a suit of white plastic

armor. And a final surprise: throughout the movie, you're hearing but not seeing a famous

more and more people are starting to see the US as some kind of bully towards the United

Nations.

So, they went so far to turn their backs on America and our politics with passing a shameful

resolution in an attempt to somehow undermine Trump�s decision about our recognition of

Jerusalem as Israel�s capital.

Just before the resolution voting, United States Ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki

Haley took to Twitter to warn them.

�At the UN we�re always asked to do more & give more.

So, when we make a decision, at the will of the American ppl, abt where to locate OUR

embassy, we don�t expect those we�ve helped to target us.

On Thurs there�ll be a vote criticizing our choice.

The US will be taking names.� � she stated.

Unfortunately, 128 countries decided that they would put a thumb in the eye of the United

States, and voted for the resolution�s passage with only 9 countries against.� (h/t)

Haley highlighted that these 128 countries didn�t listen to her warnings and that they

are clearly wrong.

�The United States will remember this day in which it was singled out for an attack

in the General Assembly for the very act of exercising our right as a sovereign nation.�

� she explained.

Haley continued, �We will remember it when we are called upon to once again make the

world�s largest contribution to the United Nations.

And we will remember it when so many countries come calling on us, as they so often do, to

pay even more and to use our influence for their benefit.�

Haley clearly stood up for Trump�s decision to recognize Jerusalem, so, she makes us proud

to slam the whole UN and make clear our position in this World, on the top!

Day 10 Slaad | The 12 Mobs of DnD-mas - Duration: 6:08.

their origins, their behaviors, and anything else I find interesting.

On the tenth day of Christmas my DM gave to me "10 Slaads a marching"

Slaads are those weird frog looking creatures that reside in the Plane of Limbo.

They are chaotic to reflect their home the ever changing chaos of Limbo.

According to lore Primus the overlord of the modrons who lives in Mechanus, the plane of

neutral law, crafted a powerful stone and imbued it with the power of law.

This stone was supposed to bring order to chaos wherever it went.

Primus had a plan for this stone and it was to send it into Limbo to tame the chaos of

that realm.

The plan didn't work out as Primus intended though.

Yes it did bring some order to the minds of certain inhabitants of Limbo, this allowed

modrons and the githzerai to create enclaves in Limbo.

However, the chaos of Limbo was too strong, or just can't be tamed in general nobody

is sure.

The stone started to absorb so much of the chaotic energy of Limbo it spawned the horrors

that became known as the Slaad.

This stone probably once had another name but it has been forgotten and is now known

as the spawning stone to the Slaad and the rest of Limbo.

The Slaad then destroyed all the modron enclaves in Limbo.

The Slaad being creatures of chaos detested the mordorons who were creatures of Law.

To this day they will attack the modorons on sight.

Slaads are weird, hailing from the plane of chaos they are probably expected to be weird.

They reproduce by implanting a humanoid host with eggs, or infecting them with a transformative

disease called chaos phage.

There are different types of Slaad that are defined by their different colors.

There are Red Slaad, Blue Slaad, Green Slaad, Gray Slaad and Death Slaad.

Each color of slaad reproduces or transforms in a different way.

Red Slaad spawn blue and green.

Blue Slaad spawn red and green.

Green Slaads undergo a lifelong cycle of transformation into the more powerful gray and death slaads.

A Red slaad claw can inject an egg from a gland.

The egg works its way into a host and gestates, eventually forming a slaad tadpole.

The tadpole then eats away at the host nourishing it.

It then transforms into a fully grown blue slaad.

The gestation period I read in the 4th edition Monster Manual was 1d4+3 days.

However in the Planescape Monstrous Compendium it said that the blue slaad gestation period

was 3 months!

This egg or tadpole can be destroyed through a greater restoration or remove curse spell

to save the host.

If the host was a spellcaster of 3rd level spells or higher the slaad will be green instead.

Blue slaads have bone hooks on their back that when touched inflict a transformative

disease, similar to lycanthropy.

The infection is called chaos phange and will transform the victim into a fully grown red

slaad, or green if the victim was a spellcaster of 3rd level spells or higher.

This transformation takes around 3 months according to the Monstrous Compendium again.

The disease is undetectable in the first month except through a detect evil or other magic.

After that the effects become obvious and a cure disease spell or similar magic is necessary

to rid the disease.

Because of this slaad often take prisoners to ensure their offspring come to fruition.

Green slaads are spellcasters, surprise.

They are intelligent and can cast a few spells innately.

It's able to change its shape to appear humanoid and will often take the disguise

of the host it spawned from or the victim it transformed from.

At some point, after a century or so, a green slaad will magically transform into a Gray

Slaad.

Becoming a more powerful slaad and magic user.

Gray slaad are often found on the material plane doing the bidding of their masters the

death slaad.

They often take humanoid form and have learned to master the greatsword, which they imbue

with magical power.

A gray slaad that eats the entire corpse of a death slaad transforms into a death slaad.

Death slaad are gray slaad that have been infused with energy from the negative energy

plane.

It amplifies the chaos and evil within their hearts.

They are the generals of slaad armies, and push red and blue slaads to attack other planes

which will hopefully propagate their species.

Slaad have huge heads and their claws are extremely sharp.

They speak their own language but also have limited telepathy which allows them to understand

and converse with other intelligent beings.

Slaad observe an informal and pragmatic hierarchy, not because they respect regulation, but rather

because strong rulers destroy disobedient underlings.

Slaad will scavenge battlefields removing wounded victims to be used as hosts for future

slaad.

Slaads have gems in their heads.

Like deep in their brains, the size of a baseball there is a magical stone.

Slaads get this stone if they came from the spawning stone, or if they ever visit it which

new slaads are instinctually driven to do.

The stone is the same color as the slaad and can be used for control.

It's as if the spawning stone magically implants a fragment of itself inside the slaads

brain.

Another creature can magically or surgically remove the gem from the slaad.

If this happens the slaad must obey whoever possesses its gem.

This is handy for high level wizards who are looking for a loyal servant.

It takes some high level magic to remove the gem though.

The imprisonment spell can transfer the gem to the spellcaster's open hand instead of

imprisoning the slaad.

Also a wish spell.

Otherwise it's a DC20 medicine check to surgically remove the gem, good luck with

the Slaad holding still during this process.

I've always like frogs and toads so I have a fondness for the slaad.

Polymorphed into a humanoid perhaps the gray slaad has been impersonating a king hoping

to spread the red slaad infection throughout the kingdom.

My a*s is starting to freeze

And you find yourself with two options

You either stay at home eating chocolate and turkey

Or you move your butt outside

and come train with me !

Let's go !

Dude, when you wanna start bodyweight training

It's important that you first lay out the muscular foundations

This way you'll have everything you need

to start tackling more advanced moves

In this video I'll show you all the basic exercises

so that you can start strengthening your beautiful little body

For me, it's important that you set goals

For most thing you wanna do in your life

for sport, it's even more important !

That's why, even if it's not the primar goal of the video

For each exercise, I'll also show a more advanced progression

So that you know what are goals you can set when you begin

Dudette, we jump into it, with chest of course

So that you can fill your bikini next summer

You knew it, chest = push ups

If you're starting and can't do a few proper push ups yet

You can start with decline or knee push ups

in order to make them easier

Once this is all good, we can work on real push ups !

Alright, first, put yourself in a push up position..

And I don't wanna see you flairing your elbows dude

Keep'em close to your body !

Same rules even if you don't like it !

Put your scapula out

Aah see? You can do it when you really try !

Wasn't that hard, was it?

Here's a front view so that you can see it in 3D

Moving forward, you can do wide push ups

In order to target your chest more

Please keep in mind not to flare your elbows

You can also go with diamond push ups, targeting the triceps more

A good goal to set when you start

is to aim for a few one arm push ups

Take note that the body position rules are the same than for regular push ups

Except that you'll have to straddle your legs

and remove a hand, obviously !

Next, let's review legs !

So yes I know, some dude that are doing street workout,

it seems like they are never training them !

So I guess that it sometimes is the case

but I strongly advice against neglecting them

It's not that complicated you'll see

and it can be pretty fun

First, you need to learn how to properly squat.

Take a shoulder wide stance

Your knees shouldn't pass your toes

and your back should be as flat as possible

Again to progress, you cna play with your stance

Like for example with close stance squats

You can also do lunges, I guess you've seen them already

I think it's very boring haha

Try to aim for a 90 degrees angle at both knees

Of course, everything you do for one leg or arm

you need to do it for both !

Your first goal for legs should be

to be able to do pistol squats

or one-legged squats

So there are a few ways to get there,

like for example with hand assisted pistols

But I'll probably do a tutorial about it another time

Another interesting dimension to explore with legs

is to add jumps after each rep

this way you'll also work your power

Uff, finally over with legs, let's do something more interesting !

Let's learn how to pull up, it's way more fun !

You can start with australian pull ups

for those you'll need a lower bar like this

Try to keep a straight line from your feet to your shoulders

Squeeze your butt tight, it'll help you

Pull your shoulders back and down

before pulling with your arms

You can again change the grip width

and the hand position

doing pull ups or chin ups

It'll alter muscle engagement

mostly between your back and arms

Once autralians become too easy

and if you have access to a higher bar

You can do assisted pull ups

In a nutshell, you'll just do regular pull ups

while keeping your feet on the ground in front of you

total weight to pull will be lower, making it easier

Then we'll move on to a proper height

A first way to try pull ups, like any other calisthenics

exercise you can't do yet

is to do negatives

meaning trying to resist against gravity pulling you to the ground

For example with pull ups, you can jump at the top of the position

before lowering yourself down as slowly as possible

Alright, once you're warm and all, you'll be doing real pull ups

You can take off your shirt

if you wanna impress your friends when it's zero degrees outside

Alright dude, show me what you got !

Dude, you need to stop trying to do the exercises by yourself !

stop stop stop !

First put your legs together

squeeze your butt

keep your body straight

pull your shoulder back and down, then pull !

Alright, way better !

All the way up, all the way down !

without busting your elbows of course !

You can also do chin ups

same rules, but with more emphasis on your biceps

Again you can change the width

with narrow pull ups

or very wide pull ups

You see, it's with this kind of stuff that

you'll be able to build a decent back

Progressing further, you'll want to work more unilateraly

for example with archer pull ups !

You can also stay with regular pull ups

but adding weight to them

For those, I like to use a weight belt

A long term good goal is the one arm pull up

Well, I can't do a proper one yet, but

I asked my friend Choubatuck if he could do a demonstration

I've heard he also is on Youtube

and that we'll be doing videos together soon !

Next, abs !

You can start working them on the floor

doing lying leg raises

It is important that

you tilt your pelvis forward

as if you sat on your lower back

you can help a bit with your hands

and you raise your legs till 90 degrees or a bit before

and you lower them, but don't touch the ground

your body and abd need to be tense the whole time

So do not stop and do not rest

If you can't keep your legs straight don't worry

it's normal, it's about flexibility

and we'll work on it on the side

Once it's too easy, you can level to the next progression

where you try to touch your legs or feet with your hands as well

Yes, just like that !

so impressive dude !

Then, or even at the same time

this progression isn't completely linear

you can also work hanging from a bar

That what I'd recommend

You can start with knee raises

Try to raise knee as high as possible

without tilting your trunk backward

You'll see yourself get higher over time

Then you'll want to straighten your legs a bit

If you can't get them completely straight at the begining it's okay

Eventually you want to be doing straight leg raises

and get them as high as possible

why not even touch the bar, right?

But know what when you lean backwards

it's your back that takes part of the load

so the abs are best trained at the beginning of the move

A good first goal for leg raises

would be to do them with one arm, straight legs, and as high as possible

Of course, switch between arms

Last, we'll do some dips !

If you don't have parrallel bars available

take two chairs, two pieces of wood I don't know

just figure it out dude !

As for the rest, if you can't do them at first

you can do negatives

Jump at the top of the move and slow down the descent

Once you're good, we'll do some real dips !

So first, straighten your arms

Shoulders down, don't cross your legs please !

Again, you keep your whole body straight and tense

and then you can dip down untill a 90 degrees angle at your elbow

You can go lower, depending

on your shoulders' flexibility

One thing is for sure though, it's that

I don't wanna hear about it if you get hurt

so don't be dumb
