Have you ever spent so long on your eyeshadow,

only to have it crease up on you?

If you answered yes to any of these questions,

you may have hooded eyes.

Hi, my name is Kim from Crash Test Beauties,

and today me and a few of my hooded eye sisters

are going to be testing out a few techniques

to see if we can make these hooded eye problems disappear.

(light music)

- The skin right below your brow bone

is lower, right?

- Yeah. - And it covers up the lid,

so if I look straight at you,

you can't see my eyelid at all.

- You don't have a lid space, essentially.

You kind of have that hood

over what your lid space would be

coming from your brow bone, so it makes it hard

to do like liner and shadow,

because you A, don't see it,

or B, it gets really smudgy.

(light music)

It's a mystery, really. (laughter)

- It's gone.

- I have to lift up to find it, so then...

- I see it!

- Do you see it now?

There it is! (laughs)

- Because we have hooded eyes,

and this skin is here, it's like our crease

is like down to the lashline.

I'll have my phone, I'll like follow tutorials,

like, "Oh, I love that look!"

Or I wanna use a fun color or something.

And then I'm doing it, and like, "Yeah!"

And I look up, and it's like (blows raspberry).

- There's so many issues that we come across

with creasing, everything blending together.

No one can see it.

(light music)

We're gonna try this technique,

and it involves lines and dots,

and it reminds me of high school geometry,

and I'm scared.

(light music)

- I already have like foundation coming off on this.

- Me too.

- So next, we're gonna get a napkin,

and then we're going to align this

with the end of our brow.

- And you're gonna make a dot

right on top of the...

Yeah. Right where your-- - Right where your pupil is.

And then you're just gonna go

straight line to the tissue. (taps makeup brush)

- Oh, I'm scared, okay.

- I feel like I'm

playing with stencils now.

(light music)

- Don't take this darker shade all the way in.

And this'll be a test if your brows are the same.

(laughs)

And if the edge of your brow is different...

- Probably gonna come out different.

I feel like this lighter shade is really

helping to boost... - Yeah.

- To make the eyes look more open.

- I think it really popped our eyes open.

- Mm-hmm.

- I think I would wear this look in the nighttime more.

But it was actually really,

it was pretty easy, and so simple.

- Yeah.

I do think that this technique worked,

using straight lines, and applying it in,

applying it higher than the "crease,"

'cause we don't really have like a visible crease.

- Yeah.

- But I'm curious to see if I'm just thinking that...

- Yeah, we'll see. - Or if other people think

Maybe my eyes look bigger? - Yeah, I think is the first

time that geometry didn't fail me.

- Typically, I will open my eye too soon

when I'm wearing liquid,

and then it will just transfer straight to the top,

because it wasn't dry yet.

And if I do happen to have the patience

to make sure that I keep my eyes closed for long enough,

then it transfers within a couple hours.

Honestly, just especially if I get in the sun,

then it just transfers right away,

'cause I start to get oily.

- With eyeliner, I feel like it constantly transfers.

I always find another,

like, it looks like another eyeliner right above it.

If I wear it thick, it smudges.

If I wear it thin, you can't see it. (laughs)

- So basically, you just can't win.

(light music)

Let's try this.

(plastic packaging rustling)

I don't know much I need... - This is big.

- Oh yeah, think you have a big eye.

Little do they know you have hoods.

You just buffing it with your finger?

- Yeah.

Use your ring finger.

- Oh, ring finger, so no wrinkles.

- Yeah, it kind of brightens it up even more.

- You know, my lids look really bright.

- Cheers! (pens click together)

(laughter)

Well, my lines don't look like twins,

but they kind of look like... - The fact that you have two

is very impressive.

This makes a big difference.

- Maybe we should go out after this.

- To the farmer's market for pupusas?

- To the farmer's market, yeah!

I'll take a watermelon and a compliment.

- And a compliment.

And there's no transfer in mine, what about you?

- Yeah, nothing on mine yet,

but let's see how it goes throughout the day.

- Yeah, we'll check back.

- So, halfway through the workday,

I just got done with lunch,

and I walked to the farmer's market today,

so I was out in the sun sweating,

and surprisingly it didn't mess up my eyeliner.

I don't know what's going on,

but as you can see, maybe the tricks are actually working.

What do you think of my eyeshadow?

- Your eyeshadow is stunning.

- Do you think it makes my eyes look a little...

- A little brighter,

a littler opener... - Bigger maybe?

- A little open, is that a word?

- I like that.

- It totally opened up your eyes.

- All right, it's time for my midday checkup.

So far so good.

Look.

I took a walk, and I was really hot outside.

There was a lot of sweat involved,

and it stayed put, so let's see how it lasts

for the rest of the day.

- So it's towards the end of the day,

and this eyeshadow did not budge.

I am so happy with it.

It didn't crease at all, which is awesome,

and I really think that primer and loose-setting powder

really worked, I think that combo

really did the trick.

- So I've had the eyeshadow on for about eight hours.

It's eight o'clock right now.

But this one is really

going strong,

it's persevering, there's no creasing,

the color's pretty much the same.

This one struggled a little bit,

it does have some creasing,

but no change in color.

I think it may be because I was touching it.

Definitely gonna keep prepping with the primer

and the translucent powder.

Think it worked.

Success, yay!

- It's now nine o'clock, I've spent the whole day

basically from 10 a.m. 'til now with the eyeliner,

and I think it held up really, really well.

Let's see.

There's literally like almost no transfer,

it stayed in place, the only places that have

a little transfer's like right here,

but honestly like I'm good with that.

It's very minimal compared to what I'm used to.

But overall, I think it was really successful.

Yay!

- So I just finished yoga, it's about nine p.m.

And surprisingly, my eyeliner is still going strong again.

There's a little bit of the rub-off here at the top,

but honestly, not much at all.

I'm really surprised.

I think that the reason why is because

I used the setting powder and the primer,

because this has never happened to me before.

Normally it would be a hot mess,

I would look like a clown.

So I'm actually really impressed

with the way that the setting powder and primer works,

and I think I'm gonna start doing this more often,

because this is crazy. (laughs)

Il doc mette in fila le cifre inverosimili di quanto in ogni parte del mondo si getta, maciulla, tritura, brucia, fa marcire

A partire dalla catena della produzione agro-alimentare, qui indicata come la grande colpevole nel primo come nel terzo mondo, per approdare ai banchi dei supermercati, fino ai nostri frigoriferi

Un terzo del cibo viene buttato: una cifra che appare su un cumulo di immonde immondizie

«Immorale», «un abominio», si dice, se si pensa al numero di persone (800mila) che muore di fame

Ora i refettori sono decine, in Italia e nel resto del mondo. Come lui tutti questi chef dimostrano che anche un piatto di alta cucina può essere non solo a km zero ma anche a spreco zero: gli scarti sono alla base della gastronomia dei popoli

Nella Corea del Sud la raccolta differenziata ha ridotto quasi completamente gli scarti alimentari che arrivano in discarica: ed è pure conveniente da un punto di vista capitalistico-industriale

In una scuola della periferia che New Orleans la cura dell'orto è materia essenziale per l'educazione dei bambini: imparano a coltivare le piante che verranno poi usate nella mensa della scuola

Risultato: la cura dell'orto socializza ed educa, mangiano più volentieri i vegetali, imparano a non buttare nulla (ogni avanzo riciclabile è messo in un secchiello a centro tavola per diventare compost)

Sono le generazioni consapevoli di domani a cui è affidata l'inversione di una tendenza devastante per la Terra e il futuro dell'umanità

Megalo Box Series Review | Comic-Watch - Duration: 5:17.

For the uninitiated, Megalo Box is a re-telling of the classic manga series "Ashita no Joe"

(translated in English as Tomorrow's Joe) by Ikki Kajiwara, with art by Tetsuya Chiba.

The manga is of an aspiring young boxer who rises up from the slums of Tokyo to world

champion, despite overwhelming odds.

It was first published in 1968 and was popular enough to have an anime series that came out

2 years later, and has since found a place in Japanese pop culture to this day.

Megalo Box is made to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Ashita no Joe manga.

Fortunately for all of us, reading the original series is not a requirement as you can dive

into Megalo Box's narrative as is.

Megalo Box is set in a cyperpunk-like future of Japan, where the series's title refers

to a new kind of boxing where the participants wear "Gears", mechanized outfits that enhance

a boxer's abilities.

We then meet our hero, a nameless boxer given the nickname "Junk Dog" or "JD" for short.

Living in the slums, he makes ends meet via participating in underground boxing where

he intentionally throws the fights for money, despite his natural talent for the sport.

A chance encounter with the Megalo Box world champion Yuri leads to an unsanctioned match

between the two.

Yuri, who also possesses the most advanced Gear in the world, defeats JD.

This only burns the fire in JD even hotter, as he is determined to face Yuri again - by

participating in the Megalonia tournament.

But this is the start of the many challenges JD has to face.

First off, only registered citizens are allowed to enter the tournament.

And since JD was born and living in the slums all his life, there is no way to prove he

is a legal citizen.

A series of circumstances resulted in JD losing his Gear, with no means of acquiring a new

one.

JD also has only 3 months to make to the top rankings in order to be eligible for make

it to the final four of the tournament.

So what's JD gonna do?

Well, he enters the tournament with a fake ID under the alias simply as "Joe".

He then enters the tournament WITHOUT a Gear, thus giving him the name "Gearless Joe".

And Joe must fight the highest ranked fighters allowed, and win those fights to get to the

final four, with very little time for rest and recovery.

What this results to is one of the most insane underdog scenarios ever.

And it's a bloody good one, at that because you see Joe face these incredible odds and

somehow, some way, he pulls it off.

And you cannot help but cheer.

I hate to use Dragon Ball again as an analogy for this, but bear with me.

Imagine if Goku never learned any of his powered-up forms (Kaioh-ken, Super Saiyan, Ultra Instinct)

and has to face all his opponents who, in this scenario are tens, to hundreds, to even

thousands of times stronger than him.

And yet, without ever attempting to match power levels at all, Goku manages to pull

the win notwithstanding.

Wouldn't you be jumping out of your seat and cheer for joy when that happens?

Of course you do!

And that's how Megalo Box does it and does it so well!

Some people have also said Megalo Box is an "ode to Cowboy Bebop", or the "Cowboy Bebop

of the new generation".

I can see why.

Megalo Box incorporates many elements that made Cowboy Bebop a beloved classic.

But it also incorporates elements of other anime from the 70's, 80's and 90's.

You got animation design and movement that is detailed, fluid, and as far as I can tell,

are mostly hand drawn than with the use of software; a cast that are diverse in their

personas that makes them likeable; cool backdrops of cyberpunk Japan; great use of hip-hop music

that's fitting of the show's narrative (and this is coming from a guy who's NOT a fan

of hip-hop!); And one of the best writing I've seen this year that makes Megalo Box

a contender for Anime of The Year.

Although Megalo Box is one of the best underdog works out there now, the anime is by itself

also an underdog from both the critic and fan perspective, because of the competition

its facing.

You've got My Hero Academia; Tokyo Ghoul Re:; Darling in The FranXX; Devilman Crybaby; Dragon

Ball Super; Golden Kamuy; and just around the corner, we're getting new seasons of One

Punch Man, Attack on Titan, and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, among many others.

Will Megalo Box still be remembered and revered, and maybe still make it to the top by the

time 2019 comes in?

I honestly do not know.

But if you haven't seen Megalo Box yet, I HIGHLY recommend you check it out.

I personally put it alongside Devilman Crybaby as contenders for Anime of The Year, and I

assure you, you will place Megalo Box in the same regard after going through all 13 rounds.

Roll Hunting Nickels - Happy July 4th! - Duration: 8:05.

hey everyone its Rob with Rob finds treasure and we've got a nickel box to hunt

today

so after my last a couple of nickel hunts that really really had some good

finds we had two five Silver's in that one box and then we had another hunt

where I got my very first v nickel I'm so excited about that

it was the 1902 still a great hunt still a great v nickel and it was my first

check that off the list of finds and this bank is across the street from my

Wells Fargo inside the grocery store where I get my half dollars and I

decided since it's been about a month since I've ran in there and grabbed a

box I'd run in there and got a box this Bank used to be a hotspot for me back in

a few months ago when I was getting buffalo nickels pretty regularly out of

it every couple of boxes I'd get a couple of buffalo nickels a few Silver's

but that's about it and then it went cold and I stopped going there and like

I said it's been a few months so I figured I'd give it a shot again we got

the box and I already checked it as you can see and it circulated nickels so

that's a good sign I haven't checked the enders yet we'll be checking them along

the way and as always I'll loop you in if I find something worth showing yeah

fast start guys first roll of the box we got a 40s nickel

it's a 46 46 Philadelphia man it sure has kind of a silver tone to it doesn't

it but it's not it's still a 46 though we're on the board roll number nine and

I haven't flipped it yet but that's looking pretty old 1949 d you know what

I think 49 has a D over S error/variety or we just take a look there looks just

like a D to me I'll look at it under the loop in a little bit more time but yeah

good find roll 23 guys and we laid them out and we got a pretty green one here

it's a silver war nickels and that's a d mint mark can it be a 43 it's a 44

pretty toasty as well but you know what 35% silver on the board with a silver

war nickels same roll is that silver war nickel and we've got a 42 non silver

all right we'll take that all day as well and we'll check this for the speared

Buffalo which it's not let's look for some more roll 26 guys and look what I

just found

it's a buffalo nickel it was face-up I don't see a date yet

and I don't see a mint mark let me uh take another peek at it I might use

nic a date on it as well so we'll see what I do when I come back if I can get

a date I won't use nic a date if I have to than I will all right guys we had to

nic a date it it's definitely not a mint mark but if I get the right lighting

here there you go 1919 so we got a 1919 Philadelphia mint buffalo nickel had a

nic a date it it's not worth much I think it's two dollars and fifty cents if it

wasn't treated so didn't get any more value out of it but we know what it is

by the way that's a buffalo and a silver wartime nickel in the box and we're just

at halfway the same roll as that Buffalo and we've got a 41 here 41 Philadelphia

roll 29 guys and look at this another 42 another 42 Philadelphia and I think I

see another old one right here

yep 1941 Philadelphia so nice roll there a couple of 40s nickels

all right roll thirty is an interesting roll I wonder if I'm missing a nickel or

two I'll let you know if I am no finds in that roll - 38 nickels they shorted me

10 cents unbelievable Well I guess we're okay with it for now

roll 37 got a 40s nickel here 1940 Philadelphia we're on roll 40 guys and

I've got kind of an interesting find here I thought it was a blank planchet at

first but look at this and it doesn't appear to be like I mean I guess it

could have been scraped away but let me put it under the microscope you can see the

outline of Jefferson's head on the new design and it just fades away it's got a

let's get back to the hunt roll 45 another 40s coin here 1941 yes

well take a 41 s roll 49 guys I bring you in because I have an odd colored one here

and the edge looked silvery and it is it's a Philadelphia Mint 1943

and it's not in bad shape whatsoever it's almost like it was kept in some

little manila packet or something it has kind of that toning to it but at the end

of the day that's a second silver and it's a much better shape than the last

one two silvers in that box let's find something else - okay we finished that box

of nickels and kind of a light Jefferson box we'll get to that still pulled out

this uh either weak strike or scratched off coin really hard to tell it's got

the scratches like it could have been but it's just so perfectly done I don't

know we'll keep it aside four 2009's we ended up with seven in the 50s two 55 two

57 s a two 58 and a 59 in the 40s we ended up with eight finds we've got a

forty, three forty ones two forty two non silvers which is just cool a forty six and a forty

nine and then we ended up with the finds of the box here

three good coins we got a forty four Denver a 43 Philadelphia and a 1919

Buffalo really fun hunt whenever you can get one or more of the key finds of a

box that makes it all worth it especially when two are silver hopefully
