ladies and gentlemen boys and girls it is time the nomadic fanatic channel is
making a change today with this bad boy right here say goodbye to unstable video
on the Canon mirrorless oh yeah
you know back when I was using the Canon a DD series or the 70d before that
things like this did not exist okay this is a huge stabilizer it holds seven
pounds that means I can use my mirrorless Canon m50 a lens and the
shotgun microphone on top are all going to be balanced on this and this I'm
going to use this all the time when I vlog so there'll be no more wobbly shaky
when I'm walking you guys remember I had one of these similar with one of my
GoPros a couple years back never used one with a big camera setup like this so
let's open this up and take a quick look Best Buy has a deal right now seven
hundred and fifty dollars which is only funny because that cost more than the
camera alone that I'm shooting on just this stabilizer here I did have some
choices my choices were the crane - not to be confused with the first crane or
the crane V - that the crane - with the seven pound weight capacity
also DJI makes the Ronin s now which is very comparable to this DJ eyes just out
of stock on their website nobody can but Amazon's out of stock DJI is out of
stock they sold out on their own and s and I was ready to buy now so that's why
I'm the best buys Zion crane so you mean wow it comes in this really neat box it
looks like carbon fiber but it's just kind of a really hard plastic suitcase
tight material
this is a lot bigger than I thought yeah so
thing is how big the handle is oh thank god tripod with it too
kind of like the Manfrotto that i have a lot of weight to this honker does come
with a Manfrotto a plate here which is kind of convenient but I know for a fact
I've been watching YouTube videos it's going to take me some time to get my
camera system all how am I going to show it if I gotta I guess we'll have some
iPhone video to follow yeah let me get the camera stable and I'll show you what
it looks like balanced I mean all right so you guess I'm filming on my iPhone
right now sorry about the quality sorry for the weird blurry line thing going on
there's nothing I can really do about it because I can't turn the generator air
conditioning off it's 90 some degrees outside but I got this thing pretty much
all balanced well it still needs to be fine-tuned okay see how it's kind of
all right but I'm ready to turn this guy on
and see how it holds everything all right

let's go outside real quick unless I'm going to shoot some test footage walking
around on this oh my gosh that's gonna be heavy though Wow
I just cannot believe how steady it holds a big camera has anybody ever
tried one of these with a microphone and a flip-out screen camera like that I
don't think so that's pretty cool all right test footage here we go okie dokie
had to make a few changes did not have this aligned perfectly but this is this
is test number two with it correctly balanced and I do apologize for the
changing light conditions but I want to do my normal thing where I kind of walk
around one other thing is that I updated the lens as well so although I have the
10 to 18 millimeter I'm now using the EFM 11 to 22 which is a smaller form
factor it's an M series mount lens so it's it's probably better for this setup
and obviously a little bit lighter as well all right hang on real quick I need
to cut right back in we're back to the old setup right now because I remembered
that we have to have something to compare this to
although everybody's already seen my last videos for the last three weeks you
have to remember how I guess shaky everybody says it was well you can see
an improvement and by the way I just want to mention I had to make a lot more
changes to balance it correctly I did not even have it close do not watch
anything that I said when I thought it was balanced like that it wasn't even
close I do have it balanced so let's cut back to the video that shows it on the
stabilizer walking and stuff but I still don't know if anyone has ever tried to
use a shotgun microphone because it throws the entire balance and center of
weight on the camera in a totally different spot but this is just me
normally walking again sorry for the changing light conditions usually I will
have more time to like adjust it which I can still do I forgot to mention that
but I can turn the exposure up and down while it's on the gimbal turn it back
down while we're walking it doesn't really mess with it too much
but yeah one thing that's going to happen is this is going to start to get
heavier as I've logged more so just something I made like switching arms
more often or something to help out with that but hey it gives me buttery smooth
motion as I'm walking and sharing things what do you guys think the new nomadic
fanatic gear yeah I haven't seen this yet I'm gonna go look at it right now so
yeah pretty amazed balls again this wobbly effect that's because of the air
conditioner and generator not normally going to be a factor anywhere else but
I'm not willing to turn that off so I am excited ok well let's use this for the
rest of the day today and by the way we will eventually get some sunshine and I
will get to test out the color on the cannon but first had to kind of pick up
a few packages because I got the new lens I need a different filter size for
the the lens so a hood and a filter and so I stopped here just outside of
Gainesville at the Amazon locker location so you can see this one's
called Ben I wish there were more of these around the country because they're
really convenient for travelers they give you a barcode in your email so
touch the start there okay validating you have two packages
open Walker one I don't know why they couldn't put them in the same one but an
open Locker one okay
because it's a bigger package easy as that so a little ridiculous for the
packaging I mean this huge bought this huge box had this tiny little lens hood
in it and this is the ND filter it's just a a UV ND filter to hopefully help
the skies not get all washed out you know when it's gray and muggy or or
something like that but uh what do you think about the toy is Jaxy good to go
now none of those just toys for you I know I

miles away from where everything was happening earlier in the video

that was work Felix and hard work it's been a while man yeah it's been a while
cause it was today was bad today I think was one of the hottest days of the year
it has been warm down here this whole Harry has been wind man I'll do anything
right now for some 60 degrees and Foxy's haircut looking good there what are you
going what's the weird thing on your camera see how we're doing there
everybody you know also because of the humidity one of the things actually I
deal with this in October when I was in Florida get in the RV worked all but the
lenses of cameras if you bring them from inside the RV to outside just like
sunglasses in high humidity they fog up really bad so I gotta like pre get the
camera ready every single time or just leave it outside so the lens can adapt
it's funny though and then rich made some bucks beans or beans and some
potato salad there too
ah dinner barbecue was actually really really good really awesome I want to try
to show you guys something something that I find really pretty and unique
although it's not I think Georgia calls these things lightning bugs some other
states call them fireflies I like the name fireflies better but they're very
very random so let's see if we can see what's going on there
they're just quick flashes of light and I'm not sure how they're showing up on
the camera for you guys but they are all over the place actually see em every
once in a while I don't know if they showed up sorry guys they're cool you
can sit out here and it's just really kind of pretty in a weird Georgia way
yeah how we doing with the stabilization guys still still good
I think this stabilizer gimbal works miracles really in my opinion I think it
does pretty good it is time the nomadic fanatic show is getting interrupted by
