I showed you many different ways to flash your LEDs for your projects but I'm

going to show you how to do it with sound like this right here for your

welder or for thunder and lightning so let's get going with this right now I'm

Tom Kvichak and this is Toms Trains and Things this channel was

created to help other modelers who are need of guidance

in pursuing their dream of building a model railroad and last month I showed

did this scene right here where I have a welder on it there's some lighting on

there but I added a few more things I put a barrel with a flame in it and then

I activate the welder with the sound from a clip that I put on the DFPlayer

mini so let me show you what I've been doing for the last couple of weeks had a

lot of things going on I had to order some parts port I got the wrong parts in

on some of the parts that I use were the wrong ones that didn't work I tried to

optocoupler on it and although an opto coupler works pretty good separating two

circuits I had to sever the connection from one

Pro Mini to the other Pro Mini completely because it was interfering

with the sketch I don't know why it was doing it but as long as the two were

connected the sketch on the second microcontroller didn't work correctly so

what I had to do was give it a high signal for a second and then shut it off

with the relay so nothing was connected and then it worked fine now I have it

set up now you remember the other Pro Mini that I have I did another one

I got a pro mini with the DF player on it and this is this is going to be added

to the display over there but anyway here is what is up there now I have that

on the uno and we're triggering it with this

I found another sensor and this is similar to something that I used it

worked years ago it has a longer range than these right here it's basically the

same thing you have the emitter and the receiver in there but it's amplified a

little bit but anyway this is what I've been working on I'm starting it out the

same way with the building lights coming on

but then the flame and the barrel comes on okay from there I'm transferring it

over to the other microcontroller which has the DF player in there with the with

the sound of the welder and as the weld as the sound goes so does the LEDs for

the welder so once that's finished this will go off will transfer back over to

here and then eventually shut everything else off but the problem that I was

having was when I connected this one directly to this to trigger this one to

start it wouldn't stop there is something about the the two of them

being hooked together that messes up with the sketch so when I was looking

for something to be low and it was high it still started so I had to put a relay

in there okay so the relay resolved the problem I only had one relay so then I

thought well maybe I'll get an opto coupler which is this little thing right

here it's called an opto coupler and it's also referred to as an opto

isolator and it has like a little infrared LED in there the triggers a

transistor you only have the emitter and collector of the transistor and there

you don't have the base and it acts just like a relay but you sever all

connections between the two circuits just like a relay would do when when you

open up the the the circuit it's a lot smaller and a lot cheaper

than the relay the opto-isolator made the problem worse

so it's going back to the relays now I put these two connectors on here for the

relays okay this first one right here is going to be the trigger pin for here

this goes to pin number 4 and as you can see I put the blue wire from here to pin

number 4 and I got ground on both of these on this side here so there's a pin

number 4 right there and then there's the pin over there with the ground on

this side so that will be hooked up to the relay on the other end so that will

start this pro mini here and start this actually this will already be on have

power on it but it'll start the DF player and I'm not quite sure where I'm

going to mount the relay because this is the only really I have right now and I

ordered something that's on a board so I may just put this one on here mount it

somewhere and then run that to for the stop signal for the other micro

controller and here's what I have I I changed the connector for the speaker I

put a smaller one on there to match these over here this is the red I got it

red white and blue for the welder right here okay this is the power coming in

for some reason the raw pin doesn't work on there so I had to put it over on the

VCC pin which is unregulated so I have to make sure that it's the 5 volts from

the other microcontroller feeding over into here so I'll just have

to jump the the connector from the other microcontroller over to here for the

power for this one this is the relay that I got in the Elega starter kit

I had to mount it on a board so I can attach it to

the other board attached it to the board like that and then my wires to the

bottom this is the ground over here this is the common going to the normally open

contact this is the feed in from the trigger pin going to supply into voltage

for the coil and then coming over here to the center contact for the common and

going up to there now I have the relay wired into the

other board been working on this thing for a while now and I think I finally

got it after playing with it for a while I got me a new sensor and all I have to

do is play around with the timing on this for now then I got a new barrel

over here with flames I got some voice in it too and the welders noise triggers

the LEDs

I just have to fine-tune it just a little bit before I put it back on the

layout here's what it looks like underneath I just wish I could find a

better mount than the ones that we got over here there's little white things so

all I got to do is Mount this and then tweak the adjustments on there I tested

it on another one but just like I said in some of my lessons you have to

fine-tune it once you get it up on your layout so I'm gonna have to do that now

that I have this all together when I first started I only had one relay on a

board and luckily I got the LED starter kit and there was a relay in there so I

ended up using that on this project also as you can see this relay right here I

got that in the El ago a lagoon starter kit and I mounted it on a little circuit

board it is a maze of wires and resistors printed circuit board would be

a lot better but then you'd have to design it and that's where I'm lacking

in my knowledge of designing a circuit board for it I don't have all the wires

hooked up to it now but dinner here is how I got it to work I tested it out on

a breadboard actually two red boards like this and then once I got it to

where I needed it I transferred everything over to these

microcontrollers here well when I powered this thing up I'll show to you

in a minute the raw pin which is the one all the way up in the corner I

had that connected to the power on my connector and apparently it's bad power

supply or whatever the the voltage regulator on there is not working so

when I put power on the raw pin nothing happens

I had it all mounted and ready to go and I applied power to it and this board

didn't work so what I'm gonna have to do is come back over here to the VCC pin

and tap into that so that's just plain five bolts on there so it's not not

regulated so I can't put anything greater than five volts on the raw pin I

could put a higher voltage on it and it'll drop it down to five volts right

here there we go we got the light on there so we're good to go

that's all we needed to do right there to get this thing going just to move

that wire over into onto the VCC instead of the raw let me show you where it goes

and goes right here over top of the tunnel portal this holds up the center

of it and then I had to move this this was over here I had this but that's

where I had the board where did I had that glued in there but I had the board

was in the way so once I get it all up in their health set this thing up here

and that keeps this end up so this is this end is down and it just rests on

here and I'm gonna have to do some painting and stuff on some of the other

things there and these are here to hold the wall in place I don't know if I

showed you that in the in a different video but I just have the wall goes up

in place like that and up against those stops and then I got the short piece

right there so we're all ready to put this thing back together and finish it

up okay I got it sitting in place and I'm checking it for clearance and so we

got plenty of room right there the wires are out of the way if I have to I could

wire tie these wires up here and this is the speaker wires up here so we're good

to go on that I got two power wires over here temporary until I run them down to

the bottom but there we go the entire sketch is actually to sketch to sketches

Who Is The Worst Pokemon Champion? - Duration: 14:52.

Throughout all the years pokemon has been around Pokemon Champions were always given

this aura of being amazing or even great pokemon trainers.

And while in some cases that reigns to be true there are also some champs that are for

a lack of a better word, utter dog poo.

But out of all of the past champions we've had to face, which one is actually the worst?

A few weeks ago we did a video covering which pokemon champion was the hardest and that

was received fairly well.

So today I thought I'd tackle the other side of the spectrum to come up with what

I believe to be the correct answer to who is the worst pokemon champion.

What I'll be factoring into this video is how bad the champion's pokemon team is,

how easy the battles were relative to the pokemon generation there in (For example since

cynthia is the gen 4 champion 1 of her pokemon being spiritomb at that point in time has

no weaknesses since fairy doesn't exist) and how many counters there are to their pokemon.

And since there are 10 different champions if you count kukui and hau talking about all

of them would just take up too much time.

So with that in mind I decided to narrow down the contestants to just the top 3.

Or i guess in this case the worst three.

Plus we all know champions like cynthia and kukui have no business being in this video.

I gotta say while pokemon X and Y were great entries to the series I think a major problem

that came with these games has to be the fact that they were way too easy.

From leveling up, gym battles, to even yes the pokemon champion.

And it's really sad to say this to because diantha's team is filled with some of my

favorite pokemon.

Now before we start hounding Diantha's team selection let's start with some positives.

Firstly I think when it come to choice of some of her pokemon, Mega gardevoir, Goodra,

hawlucha, and tyrantrum are all very strong pokemon.

Goodra specifically is a very good choice of pokemon because it has fantastic mixed

offensive capabilities and can be very tricky to predict.

And other pokemon like hawlucha and tyrantrum provide a decent counter to one of her team's

strongest weakness that of course being ice.

Diantha also has the luxury of having a very diverse movepool with the likes of fire blast,

muddy water, thunderbolt, and shadow ball.

But unfortunately though she can pick out some pretty strong pokemon, team comp wise,

she's pretty inept.

With the fact that 4 of her pokemon are weak to ice and 3 are weak to steel and fairy it's

just not great time for her pokemon.

Now sure ice isn't the best type in the world, but offensively it packs a serious punch.

And with steel and fairy being 2 of the strongest types in the game that's just something

you don't want to be weak to.

We also have to keep in mind that there's no pokemon on her team that resists steel

or fairy moves so it's basically open season.

Pair that with the fact that only a fire blast goodra and a poison jab hawlucha are the only

moves super effective to those 2 types and well, its just not good enough.

At least for Ice, this teams greatest threat, you have one pokemon that can resists its

attacks, but it's pretty much negated when you find out that Aurorus is that very pokemon.

Aurorus first of all has to be one of the worst pokemon to pick in general.

And that's obviously because of that horrible dual typing of rock and ice, being weak to

6 different types with fighting and steel being quad effective.

But you should already know that if you watched my worst dual types video.

Now sure you also got Hawlucha and tyrantrum to counter ice but them also being weak to

it can make things very dangerous.

Especially when Hawlucha is super frail and people tend to run ice beam on non ice type

pokemon.

Again it's great to have that movepool diversity, but you always want to have that hard counter

like a fire type pokemon to really hit that extra damage.

All in all if you just bring a mega mawile and a ice type pokemon you can pretty much

take out her entire team.

As far as champions go diantha is far from the best, but is she the worst?

I got to say one of the biggest misconceptions in pokemon, is how good of a trainer lance

really is.

I mean he's given this aura of being this amazingly badass champion that can easily

tear you apart but in reality, he's actually kind of bad.

Lance suffers from the same problem as diantha, but somehow manages to make even more worse

than her.

But before we jump to that, let's at least talk about his strengths.

Lance being a dragon tamer, has access to some of the most powerful pokemon in the entire

game.

And on his team he definitely has those juggernauts with the likes of gyarados, aerodactyl, Charizard,

and of Course Dragonite.

Gyarados and Charizard are especially great assets to the team because those guys counter

the 2 most threatening types for lance being rock and ice.

Lance is also really lucky to be around during gen 2 because that voids him from having another

very strong weakness to fairy.

Speaking of type effectiveness, we also have to give a shout out to the amount of great

resistances this team has.

I mean all of lance's pokemon resist fire and bug, 5 resist fighting, 4 resist grass

and water, and 2 resist the all powerful steel type.

Unfortunately though, lance in gold and silver doesn't have the luxury diantha has with

a versatile movepool.

Blizzard and Thunder are really the only things he's got and those are powerful moves, but

very inaccurate.

But hey let's cut lance a break and at least give him his heartgold and soulsilver team.

Because even though they are the same pokemon, at least the movepool is much more versatile

with the likes of crunch, thunder fang, shadow claw, ice fang, and of course thunder and

blizzard.

But even when we give lance his best team it still really sucks.

If you take a closer look at his team sure he has strong pokemon like dragonite, gyarados,

and the BEST POKEMON OF ALL TIME CHARIZARD, but as the great saying goes too much of one

thing is not good for you.

And with a combined 3 dragonites to his name, that gives half of his team the exact same

weaknesses.

Add that up with the fact that all of his pokemon have the flying type attached to them

and you basically have a lot of weakness.

Even when disregarding fairy, you have 3 pokemon weak to dragon, 3 to electric, 4 to ice, and

all of them, yes a whopping 6 pokemon are weak to rock.

And if you know anything about battling, you'll know that that is a very bad sign for a pokemon

team.

Combine that with the fact that 0 pokemon resist ice, electric, and most importantly

rock and well it's just a recipe for disaster.

But yes like I said earlier charizard and gyarados were brought in to counter types

like ice and rock.

But like diantha's situation, its a very slippery slope when they themselves are also

weak to said types at least in gyarados' case.

Seriously the whole battle can be over in a matter of minutes if you just bring an ampharos

with power gem, or a just a rock (show golem) and electric (show Electivire) pokemon.

In short we were lied to about lance's competence in battle he's actually one of the worst

pokemon trainers of all time.

When Pokemon ruby and sapphire came out back in 2002 one of the best things about those

games, was the fact that they had a very strong champion in Steven.

Sure he had pretty much an entirely steel and rock team, but as we all know from previous

videos steel is not a bad typing to keep around.

But something weird that was brought to the table when it was time to release the third

game pokemon emerald was completely changing the champion into a whole new person in Wallace.

Now honestly this was a curveball that I thought was really cool because it gave emerald its

own identity and reason to buy it.

But unfortunately though I welcome the idea of change, with that in mind you also have

to brace yourself with the fact that sometimes the change may end up being worse than the

original.

And in this particular case that reigns to be definitely true.

Wallace, the former gym leader of sootopolis city now finds himself at the top of the mountain

as the hoenn pokemon champion and to be honest he's not that good.

His team at least went through SOME change like getting rid of that stupid luvdisc for

something actually decent in a wailord, but thats unfortunately not enough.

But hey let's not focus on the negatives let's take a look at the positives.

Firstly if you had to pick a strong mono water type team, you can't really do much better

than what wallace has.

Wailord provides Bulk and a setup for rain dance, tentacruel is a great special defensive

wall that can poison, ludicolo has grass moves and can leech seed, whiscash has ground type

moves, gyrados has dragon dance and earthquake, and milotic is just really sound defensively

and has marvel scale.

Whiscash and Tentacruel are especially important to the team because these guys counter the

two most threatening type in electric and grass.

Resistance wise water also provides great defense having key strengths against types

like Fire, Water fighting and steel.

(show the number of pokemon that resist those types I said) And with electric being its

most threatening type having a pokemon like whiscash who is immune to those attacks can

be really nice to switch out to.

And like I said move wise even though Wallace may lack in variety he makes up for it big

time with just powerful and annoying moves like dragon dance, earthquake, recover, Ice

beam, toxic, double team and amnesia.

But with all of that being said, you can't escape the inevitability that your at a serious

disadvantage when you run a monotype team.

The weaknesses are just going to catch up with you.

And while yes wallace did his best to make his team a little more spread out you still

have more than half of his team weak to electric and half weak to grass.

Yes you have whiscash who bodies electric, but what happens when you easily take it out

with a grass move?

Sure you can say gyarados who has earthquake, but it's also 4x weak to electric types

why would you even want that out there.

When it comes down to it all you need at the end of the day to beat this team is a good

enough electric type like manectric, a grass type (breeloom), and probably a flying type

for ludicolo (skarmory or swellow) but thats only if you want to make things really easy.

Just bringing a grass and electric type though should definitely be enough.

Wallace is just not good enough.

So after talking about three of the worst pokemon champions that came through the years

which one do I think is the worst out of them all?

And well after the extensive research I've done for this video, I undoubtedly have to

say that Lance has to be the absolute worst champion of all time.

I'm sorry but when half of your team is the same pokemon it just really heightens

the weaknesses you already have.

Combine that with the fact that literally every pokemon on his team is weak to 1 type

and half or more are weak to 3 other types and you can pretty much take out his team

in record time.

Yes all Diantha and Wallace certainly have their weaknesses and flaws, but none of them

are as bad as lances.

Coming into this video, I never would have thought that I'd be saying lance is the

worst champion, but the stats don't lie, the worst pokemon champion of all time is

lance.

Controller input lag test and comparison - Rocket Science #17 - Duration: 9:08.

Hey guys, HalfwayDead here with the long-awaited controller input lag comparison.

I usually don't do this at the beginning of the video but I have to give a shoutout to

my patrons because this video would have never happened if it wasn't for their financial

support.

I've already explained how I'm testing in the previous input lag videos so I'm gonna

go straight to the results for the average input lag measured.

For comparison, I turned the Arduino itself into a controller first and rated all the

other controllers relative to it.

The fastest controller I tested is the Dualshock 4 when used with a Bluetooth connection.

The Steam Controller has about twice the input lag on a button press.

At 1 ms more there is the XBox One controller which performs essentially equal with a wired,

Bluetooth or wireless stick connection.

Another 1 ms on top is the result of the wired Xbox 360 controller as well as the analog

stick of the wired Steam Controller.

At 10 ms delay we have the DS4 wired, 7 ms slower average input lag than Bluetooth, but

make sure to watch on.

The DS3 controller also has 10 ms delay on analog input but an extra 3 1/2 ms on button

presses.

The wireless version of the 360 controller performed a lot different from it's wired

version with a 10 ms button press and 12 1/2 ms delay for analog inputs, 3 and 5 more ms

than wired.

The Steam Controller had an increased delay of 5 ms with the included dongle and over

7 ms when using Bluetooth.

Alright, those are the results for the average input lag, but there are a lot more aspects

that need to be discussed.

First of all, for all the wireless results, I want to state that I had a Wifi router within

1.5 m and a phone about half a meter away from the controller.

I tested every setup with a controller receiver distance of about 10 cm as well as 3 m and

found no measurable difference in any of those experiments.

You still wanna keep in mind that my results may have been impacted by some interference

which is a tradeoff that you'll usually have to make with wireless.

Another important aspect in input lag, mainly for Rocket League or rhythm games is the consistency.

Input consistency is worth its own video but as a short example, the following should suffice.

When you fly at the ball to shoot it, there is usually that one perfect moment where you

want to dodge to get the shot with as much power as possible.

Let's say my controller can either have 0 ms of latency or 20 ms.

Basically, I can try to hit it at the perfect time for 0 ms of lag or I could hit it at

the perfect time for 20 ms of lag or I could hit it right in between.

In the first 2 cases, I would have a 50% chance to hit a perfect shot and a 50% chance to

hit a shot that is off by 20 ms.

In the third case, I would hit a shot that's off by 10 ms every time.

This controller would have an average input lag of 10 ms.

But let's say there is a controller that always has 15 ms of input lag.

As long as I am able to estimate when exactly I need to press the button, I could hit the

shot perfectly every single time.

That's the theory.

We're all incapable of hitting the perfect shot 100% of the time which is why a better

player on a worse controller will still do better power shots than a bad player on a

good controller.

Nevertheless, I wanted to mention this because this is exactly true about the Dual Shock

4 controller.

It has 7 ms less input lag over Bluetooth but a more stable connection over cable.

The best way to show this is in a density distribution graph.

The amplitude of the graph shows how often your inputs will arrive with that much delay.

The wired DS4 has a 4 ms uniform block with a bit of noise around it.

The 4 ms window is a result of the 250 Hz wired polling rate and the noise comes from

the limited game framerate and tiny fluctuations in framerate.

With Bluetooth, the DS4 uses a higher unstable polling rate of around 700 Hz which causes

the narrow peak which is great.

However, there are quite a few results in the 20+ ms range which is why it has a higher

standard deviation and as such is less consistent.

Why on earths name Sony didn't allow 1000 Hz polling over USB when it is clearly capable

of that and why there is an input lag difference that big that can't be explained by any logic,

I wish I knew.

The DS4 overall is still the winner of both lowest lag as well as most consistency, depending

on the mode you're in, but it could've been crushing.

When it comes to consistency, the Xbox 360 controller is the next best ahead of the Xbox

One controller.

That was surprising to me since they both have a 125 Hz polling rate, so I took another

look at the density distributions and found that the wired Xbox One controller does for

some reason not show a uniform distribution.

Instead, the possible lag values show a gaussian spread much further than necessary.

When connected wirelessly or over Bluetooth, it didn't have this issue but similar to the

DS4, some very high samples ruined the consistency.

The wired Steam Controller was somehow worse despite also having a 125 Hz polling rate.

Wireless made it slightly worse than wired but with Bluetooth it had by far the worst

consistency out of all experiments.

Do not use the Steam Controller over Bluetooth if you don't have to.

The DS3 only sends 100 reports per second and performs as expected, the worst out of

all wired controllers.

Now there is still software left to talk about.

What about x360ce, Durazno, DS4 Windows and of course the Steam Controller configuration.

I initially started out by testing Steam's configuration and found 1 ms of extra input

lag which doesn't seem bad at all if you consider what you can get out of it.

I also found that for some reason, with a wireless DS4 and only that, it caused 3 ms

of extra input lag.

After that, I started testing every controller wired and wireless with every compatible software

only to find something rather surprising.

The only configuration software that caused any measurable input lag at all was that of

Steam.

It makes me quite hesitant to recommend it now but it's not a massive difference so if

you're running fine with it then keep on going but Durazno can also square the analog sticks

and DS4 Windows and x360ce have most of the features you could ever want.

It should be mentioned that the DS3 doesn't work natively so I had to use ScpToolkit.

Therefore, I couldn't determine if it causes much input lag but there was a setting called

"Use asynchronous HID Report Processing" which reduced input lag by less than half a ms.

This video might've been the biggest project I've ever made.

From ordering and opening all the controllers, figuring out how to connect them to measure

with my Arduino.

Taking around 100 000 measurements total to organising and visualising all of the data

at the end.

And all I've done so far is determine the input lag of these controllers.

I have plans to test some more, most noticeably accuracy of the analog sticks.

I've already found some under certain circumstances noticeable differences.

It wasn't an objective measurement though, and I don't want to release any results that

might be an incorrect feeling.

I have some ideas on how to do proper testing, but if you think you have a good idea it could

definitely help me, so put it in the comments.

In this video, we are gonna talk about

Jurassic World Evolution

Being more specific :

about one "problem" that upset a lot of people,

the size of some dinosaurs... Yeah, I know

it's not a great problem but still it made nervous a lot of people

"Some dinosaurs are too big", "Some are too small",

"Tyrannosaurus, oh my, Tyrannosaurus it's too big", "plz nerf the Allosaurus"

And stuff like that...

So, since I'm an horrible person

I just wanted to talk about this

But, before we start:

I saw that someone already talked about this topic

And one of the "biggest" among the others

it's BestInSlot

And I have to say that I really dislike that video

No offense, I'm a fan, I watch his videos

But I did'nt appreciate that video, in my opinion, it's bland

and shallow

I hope that this video will be different and that will not be like that

And let's start with , maybe, the most contested dinosaur :

Tyrannosaurus

Yep, because for a lot of people the Tyrannosaurs was "inflated" by the developers who made him way too big

Is it true?

Kind of

Let's see the datas :

Tyrannosurus, in "real life", probably would not supass the 4 m in height

( Actually, we are not sure if it could actually reach that height)

And It was 12/13 m long

In Jurassic World Evolution Tyrannosaurus is 5 meters tall and 14 meters long

So, someone would say: "Yes, the developers blow the Tyrannosaurus out of proportion "

But we are not talking about "reality"

In fact, this game is based on the film saga of Jurassic Park and Jurassic World

So the developers had to stick with what we saw in the movie,

especially for popular creatures that "star" in more than just one film,

and so the game should take account of the size of that the creatures in the movies

So... What is the size of the Tyrannosaurus in the movies?

Sure, 5 meters in height (except in JP 3, but we are going to talk about it later on)

And about the lenght something around 12/ 13 meters

Rexy is 13,4 meters long, to be fair

But it's kinda difficult being precise, since different sources are contradictory:

sometimes it's 12, 13 or 13,4 meters

but the longest "official" estimation it's 13,4 meter

0K? Obviously for the sources I will use only "official" materials

Not things written in some Wiki,

or fan-made stuffs

So, only datas from DVD bonus feature

or other official stuff

If I don't have some datas I will not mension it, of course

Seems fair to me

So, in Jurassic World Evolution Tyrannosaurus rex gained only 1 meter,

half a meter in lenght

Not to much, actually

Why, all this fuss?

Maybe, I know...

We all know that kind of "people"

that always have to dislike what it's popular

Edgy people, the "alternative" ones

Something like this:

"Do you really like that?"

"Do you really like that song?"

And then you are like " Yes, it's catchy..."

"Ugh, but everyone likes it... It's too commercial"

Same thing for the dinosaurs

"T-Rex it's soo overrated..."

"I know but I like it... It's cool "

"But why? Spinosaurus is way better and Giganotosaurus was bigger..."

"Maybe but I like Tyrannosaurus..."

"You don't know nothing about dinosaurs" (Insert Ygritte joke here)

Ah... I hope that Cthulhu wil haunt your dreams and drive you to madness *demoniac chorus*

And right after it (I mean the Tyrannosaurus, not Cthulhu) comes the Spinosaurus !

Very nice...

A lot of people complain about it being " smaller than the one in the film" and

" different than the film one" and someone just wants

" the one seen in the film"

Let's talk about the film one

The one in the film,

believed by many being 6 m tall and 15, 16, 17... 21 meters long

Actually, according to official data, the Spinosaurus in JP3 it's 4,88 meters tall on the top of the head

and, 5,8/ 6 meters on the top of its "sail"

So

Spinosaurus and Tyrannosaurus "head-to-head"

like Rexy,

the first Tyrannosaurus, the Spinosaurus would still be lower (or the same height)

and also it would be lower

since the one in the film it's 13/ 13, 1 meters lenght (Rexy is stated being 12 to 13,4 meters long).

The one in Jurassic World Evolution,

at least according to the in-game "wiki",

it's 3,9 m tall and 15 m long

I'm not quite sure about it being this "hip" or "head height" but I'm sure it's the second

*Uh*

And it's 15 meters long (I already said it, sorry ;( )

But how big was the Spinosaur in "real life"

Well, 2,60 tall on the hips (more or less)

So on the top of the head it was around 4 m tall,

like Tyrannosaurus Rex (more or less),

and 15 meters long, or maybe even 16 meters for some specimen

So, in addition to being more scientifically accurate,

it's even bigger than the one in Jurassic Park 3,

since that one it's only 13 meters long

Dunno why, but it's a common problem in Jurassic Park 3 :

they are all tall but short in lenght

Even the Tyrannosaurus ( "Our dead homie" ) in that film

it's 4,40 meters tall

and 11 meters long

Bha, the dinosaurs in this film are all stubby

Don't know what kind of art direction allowed this

Anyway, if we take the Spinosaurus in Jurassic Park III

it would be shorter than Tyrannosaurus

(way less short than the one currently being in the game, but still)

But it would be also one meter shorter

while in the one in the game is only one meter shorter but it's longer.

The one in Jurassic World Evolution it's also, not only more scientifically accurate,

but also more good-looking than the one in Jurassic Park III

Bha, anyway,

let's go ahead

Ahhhh...

the Giganotosaurus

Well, personally, I would not insert it in the game

just to avoid diatribes,

problems, conspiracy theories, etcetera...

Obviously, being a dinosaur new to the franchise,

Frontier tried to make it scientifically accurate,

0K?

So, except for that "pending" tail that I don't understand...

Why Frontier?

They are "Tetanurae" that means " rigid tails"...

Why that "dangling" tail...? It's not a dog

Except that little rubbish....

*Umh*

It's well made, nice model

but, oh-oh, "it's too short compared to the Tyrannosaurus"

" bhoo, it was bigger"

" Giganotosaurus? Better call him smallnotosaurus!" *clever joke, such funny, ah-ah-ah*

It's actually small the Giganotosaurus in this game?

Yes and no.

Giganotosaurus is estimated to be from 3 to 4 meters tall

and from 12 to 14 meters ( I reported the most "popular" estimation in the scientific field)

A realistic estimation is around 13 m

Now,

for the game

Frontier chose the lowest estimations

among the realistic ones

I don't know why

But that's it, it's not properly an error

In the game it's 3,2 meters long not 4

but neither 3

and it's 12 meters long

0K?

Personally I would have made him 4 meters tall

and even 14 meters long, why not?

But even like that,

even if we take the "biggest" estimation of Giganotosaurus,

it would still be smaller than the "Jurassic Park canon" Tyrannosaurus

because it' s huge

but, what can I say...

If you want to "balance" the things

they ( the developers) should have increase the size of the Giganotosaurus too

But obviously, nobody seems to understand this

Because even with the "biggest" estimation for Giganotosaurus :

14 m long and 4 m tall

and even with a "nerfed" Tyrannosaurus

13/ 13, 4 meters long and 5 meters tall

like "Rexy"

the Giganotosaurus would still be smaller than Tyrannosaurus

So...

to make the "Giganotosaurus fans" happy Frontier should have raised the size of Giganotosaurus to 5 meters tall?

I don't know...

Some people state that Giganotosaurus reached 6 meters tall and 18 meters long but that it's obviously "overstimating"

and I would not consider this opinion without a real scientific base

But actually, there's a "dinosaur" that Frontier mistreated

it's the Indominus Rex

the hybrid "dinosaur" of Jurassic World,

that thing...

Because in the film it should be tall around 6 meters

and at full maturity would have reach the lenght of 15 meters

according to what Doctor Henry Wu states

in fact, in the movie it's not fully grown

so she woul be bigger than a Tyrannosaurus Rex

Now,

in the videogame it's 15,5 meters long and that's 0K,

but it's "only" 4,6 m long

I don't know why

probably it's just that Frontier dislike hybrids.

A lot.

It's fine, Frontier. I personally agree with them

I don't like them too much either.

Let's proceed...

Ah, the Allosaurus

fun fact, a lot of people complain that it's capable of killing Giganotosaururs, Spinosaurus and even Tyrannosaurus with ease

but, remember what I said before?

"Tyrannosaurus su*ks so, yeah, go Allosaurus!...

... but wait, it can kill Spinosaurus and Giganotosaurus?! No sense, nerf Allosaurus!"

Well, well, well...

What's the (size) problem of the Allosaurus?

Well, it's just big. Too big.

Few seems to notice it though,

everybody notice that 14 meters Tyrannosaurus instead of 13, 4 meters

but for the Allosaurus it's different...

... hypocrites...

Anyway, in Jurassic World Evolution

the Allosaurus it's 3,6 meters tall and 12 meters long

while the biggest Allosaurus specimen was 9,7 meters (so we could say almost 10 meters)

and from 2,5 to 3 meters tall

But still it's way smaller than it's JWE counterpart

and we are talking of the BIGGEST specimen ever found

Probably the majority of the Allosaurus were around 8 meters long

But why the Frontier's one it's huge?

Probably because they considered true the species of Allosaurus known as "Allosaurus maximus"

while the majority of the scientists think that it' s a different genus the "Saurophaganax"

the Saurophaganax was probably (we are not sure) 3,8/ 4 meters long

and (probably, again, we are not sure), around 13 m long

So, probably Frontier choose to consider Saurophaganax as Allosaurus maximus

It's not a real error actually, 'cause Saurophaganax and A. maximus are "nomen dubium"

but most of the scientist think that A. maximus it's incorrect and that Saurophaganax it's a different genus

Now, Metriacanthosaurus, it's actually well made

We don't know too much about it but from what we know, the size (2 m tall and 8 m long) it's correct. GG, Frontier

Now we have Suchomimus, it's "well made" too,

Frontier chose the "bigger estimations"

Because some scientist think that Suchomimus wouldn't reach the 10 meters lenght

and tall about 2/2,5 meters on the hips

While in Jurassic World Evolution Suchomimus it's 11 meters long and 2,7 meters tall

About the height I'm not sure if it's on the hip or head, it's not stated

Anyway, it's correct

Some estimation state that it's smaller

other that it's bigger and longer ( 12 m long)

It could pass

Now, Majungasaurus,

someone stated that the one in the game it's too small

but it's wrong sice with 9 m long and 2,2 meters tall

it's actually biggger than its "real" counterpart

since the Majungasaurus was "only" 7/8 meters long

and would scarcely reach the 2 m on the hips

but a lot of people complains about

JWE one being smaller than it's real counterpart

I don't know why...

it isn't soo complicated...

just take a look at the in-game info and compare with real data

you don't have to be a "dinosaur expert" to do that

( No I'm not considering myself a dinosaur expert, more a "passionate")

Anyway,

Baryonyx, Baryonyx, Baryonyx...

same thing that we saw with the previous guy, the Majungasaurus:

the Jurassic World Evolution version it's a bit bigger than its real counterpart

it is 9,3 meter long and 3 meter tall

while, according to the most recent estimation, a real Baryonyx would not be bigger than 8 meters

Maybe Frontier could make him around 8,5 meters

But, since older estimation state that Bayonyx could be around 10 meters,

so it was not magnified ...

just enlarged a bit, we could say

Before the "Icing on the cake"

And spoiler allert: it would be more than one.

I swear I'm working on it

But I was still be able to play it... too much

It's a part of Rome few tourists ever see: The "EUR" district is characterised by wide

boulevards and grandiose buildings.

"Colosseo Quadrato", one of its best-known buildings, is currently the headquarters for

luxury fashion label Fendi.

Opposite this water tower a 1960s apartment block rises up.

It was one of the first ever built in Rome.

Here, Italian architect Massimo d´Alessandro has transformed two separate apartments into

one modern flat.

"We completed this apartment (with all the decor) last year.

"The apartment now has two levels.

The main problem was the lower half didn't get much light.

Ensuring there's enough light was crucial.

So we had the idea to create large openings in the room above so that light can shine

through."

The lower part of the apartment boasts large format photographs by contemporary artists.

"The owner collects modern art.... so we decided to furnish this 1960s flat with some design

classics from that time.

Like this 1950s table by Italian designer Gio Ponti.

The furniture over there was designed by him too."

The apartment's owner let Massimo chose the furniture.

And so now, the lower-level apartment not only has contemporary art but also design

classics -- imbuing it with a museum-like feel.

Aside from these 1960s classics, the apartment is also furnished with modern-day design pieces.

Like this sofa by the Campana brothers.

The staircase leading to the top floor has been designed like a wooden sculpture and

is an artwork in its own right.

"Up here is the family's living quarters.

They have their TV and all of their books.

We've gone to lots of trouble designing book shelves, fitted cupboards and media units

so that they'll perfectly harmonise with everything here, and with the art collection."

"We haven't just doubled the size.

We didn't just fuse the upper and lower level, creating two levels.

Instead, we basically created three spaces.

We've made a third shared room with a unique quality of its own."

400 square metres of pure luxury.

Massimo was pretty much free to realise all his ideas -- as money clearly wasn't an object.

Jurassic World Evolution

Being more specific :

about one "problem" that upset a lot of people,

the size of some dinosaurs... Yeah, I know

it's not a great problem but still it made nervous a lot of people

"Some dinosaurs are too big", "Some are too small",

"Tyrannosaurus, oh my, Tyrannosaurus it's too big", "plz nerf the Allosaurus"

And stuff like that...

So, since I'm an horrible person

I just wanted to talk about this

But, before we start:

I saw that someone already talked about this topic

And one of the "biggest" among the others

it's BestInSlot

And I have to say that I really dislike that video

No offense, I'm a fan, I watch his videos

But I did'nt appreciate that video, in my opinion, it's bland

and shallow

I hope that this video will be different and that will not be like that

And let's start with , maybe, the most contested dinosaur :

Tyrannosaurus

Yep, because for a lot of people the Tyrannosaurs was "inflated" by the developers who made him way too big

Is it true?

Kind of

Let's see the datas :

Tyrannosurus, in "real life", probably would not supass the 4 m in height

( Actually, we are not sure if it could actually reach that height)

And It was 12/13 m long

In Jurassic World Evolution Tyrannosaurus is 5 meters tall and 14 meters long

So, someone would say: "Yes, the developers blow the Tyrannosaurus out of proportion "

But we are not talking about "reality"

In fact, this game is based on the film saga of Jurassic Park and Jurassic World

So the developers had to stick with what we saw in the movie,

especially for popular creatures that "star" in more than just one film,

and so the game should take account of the size of that the creatures in the movies

So... What is the size of the Tyrannosaurus in the movies?

Sure, 5 meters in height (except in JP 3, but we are going to talk about it later on)

And about the lenght something around 12/ 13 meters

Rexy is 13,4 meters long, to be fair

But it's kinda difficult being precise, since different sources are contradictory:

sometimes it's 12, 13 or 13,4 meters

but the longest "official" estimation it's 13,4 meter

0K? Obviously for the sources I will use only "official" materials

Not things written in some Wiki,

or fan-made stuffs

So, only datas from DVD bonus feature

or other official stuff

If I don't have some datas I will not mension it, of course

Seems fair to me

So, in Jurassic World Evolution Tyrannosaurus rex gained only 1 meter,

half a meter in lenght

Not to much, actually

Why, all this fuss?

Maybe, I know...

We all know that kind of "people"

that always have to dislike what it's popular

Edgy people, the "alternative" ones

Same thing for the dinosaurs

And right after it (I mean the Tyrannosaurus, not Cthulhu) comes the Spinosaurus !

A lot of people complain about it being " smaller than the one in the film" and

" different than the film one" and someone just wants

" the one seen in the film"

Let's talk about the film one

The one in the film,

believed by many being 6 m tall and 15, 16, 17... 21 meters long

Actually, according to official data, the Spinosaurus in JP3 it's 4,88 meters tall on the top of the head

and, 5,8/ 6 meters on the top of its "sail"

So

Spinosaurus and Tyrannosaurus "head-to-head"

like Rexy,

the first Tyrannosaurus, the Spinosaurus would still be lower (or the same height)

and also it would be lower

since the one in the film it's 13/ 13, 1 meters lenght (Rexy is stated being 12 to 13,4 meters long).

The one in Jurassic World Evolution,

at least according to the in-game "wiki",

it's 3,9 m tall and 15 m long

I'm not quite sure about it being this "hip" or "head height" but I'm sure it's the second

And it's 15 meters long (I already said it, sorry ;( )

But how big was the Spinosaur in "real life"

Well, 2,60 tall on the hips (more or less)

So on the top of the head it was around 4 m tall,

like Tyrannosaurus Rex (more or less),

and 15 meters long, or maybe even 16 meters for some specimen

So, in addition to being more scientifically accurate,

it's even bigger than the one in Jurassic Park 3,

since that one it's only 13 meters long

Dunno why, but it's a common problem in Jurassic Park 3 :

they are all tall but short in lenght

Even the Tyrannosaurus ( "Our dead homie" ) in that film

it's 4,40 meters tall

and 11 meters long

Bha, the dinosaurs in this film are all stubby

Don't know what kind of art direction allowed this

Anyway, if we take the Spinosaurus in Jurassic Park III

it would be shorter than Tyrannosaurus

(way less short than the one currently being in the game, but still)

But it would be also one meter shorter

while in the one in the game is only one meter shorter but it's longer.

The one in Jurassic World Evolution it's also, not only more scientifically accurate,

but also more good-looking than the one in Jurassic Park III

the Giganotosaurus

Well, personally, I would not insert it in the game

just to avoid diatribes,

problems, conspiracy theories, etcetera...

Obviously, being a dinosaur new to the franchise,

Frontier tried to make it scientifically accurate,

So, except for that "pending" tail that I don't understand...

Why Frontier?

They are "Tetanurae" that means " rigid tails"...

Giganotosaurus is estimated to be from 3 to 4 meters tall

and from 12 to 14 meters ( I reported the most "popular" estimation in the scientific field)

A realistic estimation is around 13 m

Now,

for the game

Frontier chose the lowest estimations

among the realistic ones

I don't know why

But that's it, it's not properly an error

In the game it's 3,2 meters long not 4

but neither 3

and it's 12 meters long

Personally I would have made him 4 meters tall

and even 14 meters long, why not?

But even like that,

even if we take the "biggest" estimation of Giganotosaurus,

it would still be smaller than the "Jurassic Park canon" Tyrannosaurus

they ( the developers) should have increase the size of the Giganotosaurus too

to make the "Giganotosaurus fans" happy Frontier should have raised the size of Giganotosaurus to 5 meters tall?

I don't know...

Some people state that Giganotosaurus reached 6 meters tall and 18 meters long but that it's obviously "overstimating"

and I would not consider this opinion without a real scientific base

But actually, there's a "dinosaur" that Frontier mistreated

it's the Indominus Rex

the hybrid "dinosaur" of Jurassic World,

that thing...

Because in the film it should be tall around 6 meters

and at full maturity would have reach the lenght of 15 meters

according to what Doctor Henry Wu states

in fact, in the movie it's not fully grown

so she woul be bigger than a Tyrannosaurus Rex

Now,

in the videogame it's 15,5 meters long and that's 0K,

but it's "only" 4,6 m long

I don't know why

probably it's just that Frontier dislike hybrids.

Ah, the Allosaurus

fun fact, a lot of people complain that it's capable of killing Giganotosaururs, Spinosaurus and even Tyrannosaurus with ease

but, remember what I said before?

"Tyrannosaurus su*ks so, yeah, go Allosaurus!...

... but wait, it can kill Spinosaurus and Giganotosaurus?! No sense, nerf Allosaurus!"

Well, well, well...

What's the (size) problem of the Allosaurus?

Well, it's just big. Too big.

Few seems to notice it though,

everybody notice that 14 meters Tyrannosaurus instead of 13, 4 meters

but for the Allosaurus it's different...

... hypocrites...

Anyway, in Jurassic World Evolution

the Allosaurus it's 3,6 meters tall and 12 meters long

while the biggest Allosaurus specimen was 9,7 meters (so we could say almost 10 meters)

and from 2,5 to 3 meters tall

But still it's way smaller than it's JWE counterpart

and we are talking of the BIGGEST specimen ever found

Probably the majority of the Allosaurus were around 8 meters long

But why the Frontier's one it's huge?

Probably because they considered true the species of Allosaurus known as "Allosaurus maximus"

while the majority of the scientists think that it' s a different genus the "Saurophaganax"

the Saurophaganax was probably (we are not sure) 3,8/ 4 meters long

and (probably, again, we are not sure), around 13 m long

So, probably Frontier choose to consider Saurophaganax as Allosaurus maximus

It's not a real error actually, 'cause Saurophaganax and A. maximus are "nomen dubium"

but most of the scientist think that A. maximus it's incorrect and that Saurophaganax it's a different genus

Now, Metriacanthosaurus, it's actually well made

We don't know too much about it but from what we know, the size (2 m tall and 8 m long) it's correct. GG, Frontier

Now we have Suchomimus, it's "well made" too,

Frontier chose the "bigger estimations"

Because some scientist think that Suchomimus wouldn't reach the 10 meters lenght

and tall about 2/2,5 meters on the hips

While in Jurassic World Evolution Suchomimus it's 11 meters long and 2,7 meters tall

About the height I'm not sure if it's on the hip or head, it's not stated

Anyway, it's correct

Some estimation state that it's smaller

other that it's bigger and longer ( 12 m long)

It could pass

Now, Majungasaurus,

someone stated that the one in the game it's too small

but it's wrong sice with 9 m long and 2,2 meters tall

it's actually biggger than its "real" counterpart

since the Majungasaurus was "only" 7/8 meters long

and would scarcely reach the 2 m on the hips

but a lot of people complains about

JWE one being smaller than it's real counterpart

I don't know why...

it isn't soo complicated...

just take a look at the in-game info and compare with real data

you don't have to be a "dinosaur expert" to do that

( No I'm not considering myself a dinosaur expert, more a "passionate")

Anyway,

Baryonyx, Baryonyx, Baryonyx...

same thing that we saw with the previous guy, the Majungasaurus:

the Jurassic World Evolution version it's a bit bigger than its real counterpart

it is 9,3 meter long and 3 meter tall

while, according to the most recent estimation, a real Baryonyx would not be bigger than 8 meters

Maybe Frontier could make him around 8,5 meters

But, since older estimation state that Bayonyx could be around 10 meters,

so it was not magnified ...

just enlarged a bit, we could say

And spoiler allert: it would be more than one.
