Church: Where Everybody is Somebody - Duration: 29:05.

[Music]

I want to invite you to take God's word and turn to the

Second Chapter of James.

We're going to begin reading in Verse 1 through the

10th Verse. James is talking about real religion. Real

religion. That is life in Christ. A genuine faith in

Christ. When you hear the word religion what do you think? You

might think of words like ritual, ritualistic,

religiosity. You may think of words like rules and

restrictions, but when James talks about real religion at the

close of Chapter 1, and remember there were no chapters or verse

numbers when this passage was written, The Letter of James,

but it just all flows together. As he talks about real

religion, true religion as compared to false religion,

religion, in a good sense is the outward expression of the inward

experience because religion works as life works. Real

religion, someone said the Book of James is religion in shoe

leather. It's about beliefs that affect our behaviors. D.L.

Moody, the famed evangelist of the 19th century, once said that

the Bible should be bound in shoe leather. That's descriptive

because it's about walking the walk as well as talking the

talk. Real religion includes, as we saw at the end of Chapter 1

last week, a controlled tongue. We manage our mouths. A

compassionate heart. We care for the widows and orphans, those

most vulnerable in our society, and we live a consecrated life,

so a controlled tongue, a compassionate heart, a

consecrated life un-spotted from the world. With that we take up

our reading in Chapter 2 Verse 1. "My brothers, show no

partiality as you hold the faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, the

Lord of glory. For if a man wearing a gold ring and fine

clothing comes into your assembly and a poor man in

shabby clothing also comes in, and if you pay attention to the

one who wears the fine clothing and say, 'You sit here in a good

place,' while you say to the poor man, 'You stand over there

or sit down at my feet,' have you not made distinctions among

yourselves and become judges," watch this, "with evil thoughts?

Listen my beloved brothers. Has not God chosen those who are

poor in the world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom

which he has promised to those who love Him, but you have

dishonored the poor man. Are not the rich the ones who oppress

you and the ones who drag you into court? Are they not the

ones who blaspheme the honorable name by which we are called? If

you really fulfill the royal law according to the scripture, you

shall love your neighbor as yourself and you are doing well,

but if you show partiality, favoritism, you are committing

sin and are convicted by the law as transgressors, for whoever

keeps the whole law, but fails in one point has been

accountable for all of it." The religion of our Lord Jesus

Christ changes lives. Someone said, "If you religion hasn't

changed your life, you need to change your religion." We don't

preach religion; we preach Jesus Christ. Christ, the reality of

Christ living us changes the way we practice our faith. This

passage tells us what true religion is compared to false,

futile, worthless religion does and does not do. When we walk

with Jesus we will walk in love and welcome people, and treat

people right. Every one. I'm calling this message church.

Where everybody is somebody and Jesus is Lord. Where everybody

is somebody and Jesus Christ is Lord. How do you treat people?

Especially people who are different than you? Especially

people you don't know very well? James talks to us about the

danger of discrimination, the peril of prejudice, the sin of

snobbery. The church of the Lord Jesus Christ is not a snooty

religious country club. It is a place where everyone is welcome.

The scripture says, in 1 Samuel 16:7, that God doesn't look on

the outward appearance, but God looks on the heart. Jesus never

showed partiality. He welcomed everyone from the smallest child

to the outcast to the up and outs, the down and outs. He was

not impressed with social or cultural or racial or even

religious standing. God cares absolutely nothing about any of

that. What people look like, or their professions, or their

success, or lack of success, their standing in life or the

strata of life. God is no respecter of persons according

to 2 Chronicles 19. God is not a sinner. There is no iniquity in

Him. There is no respecting of persons with God. We put people

in various categories and classes don't we? It comes

natural to us. We categorize people in terms of affluence or

lack of affluence, age, appearance, accomplishment, all

these categories. There are no categories with God, well, there

is one category really, saved or lost. Those who know Jesus and

those who don't know Jesus, but God doesn't look on the

exterior. God doesn't play favorites. God doesn't look at

the skin. He looks at the heart.

Therefore, faith and favoritism are not

compatible in the Christian life. God is impartial and

therefore, those who know God and follow Jesus are also to

become impartial. It is a lifelong struggle for all of us,

but remember the goal in the Book of James is becoming mature

in Christ. Becoming more like Jesus. I know this, everyone is

loved and leveled at the cross. Everyone is loved and leveled at

the cross. The gospel of Jesus Christ which is the gospel that

God so loved the world, everyone in it, that he gave his only

son. Jesus bled and died for all and he rose again on the third

day. The gospel is the great equalizer. We're all leveled and

loved at the cross. We're all sinners who need a savior and

when we come to Jesus our lives are changed. The gospel is for

all. It's not the American gospel, or the European gospel,

or the African gospel, or the Asian gospel. It's the gospel of

the Lord Jesus Christ. It's for anyone and everyone. It's

amazing grace for every race. We're told to go into all the

world and preach the gospel of Christ. Real religion loves

without limits. It loves without liables and it loves without

labels. We are called to go outside our own comfort zone and

to welcome all into the family of God. We're to welcome the

stranger, to receive the sinner as Jesus did, those who are

outsiders, those who are outcasts, we're to love all,

rich or poor, educated or illiterate, cultured or crude.

No one is to be excluded from Christ and therefore, no one is

to be excluded from the church of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Everybody is somebody in His body. Now, with that principle

in place, James gives us a story. This evidently was a

problem in the first century church as well as the

twenty-first century church and everything in between. James

tells us about two guys who go to church. First guy goes to

church, guy walks into a church, not into a bar, into a church.

Guy walks into a church and it is obvious that this guy's got

it going on in his life. He's dressed like he just walked out

of GQ. His clothing is fine. Literally is shining. It's

shimmering. He lights the place up. Beautiful and brilliant and

he's wearing gold rings. Literally, he's gold fingered.

This is Mr. Goldfinger. He's got rings on his finger, bling on

his neck, and it's obvious that he's got money. He's got

self-worth and net worth. He's a billionaire. When he walks in

the usher takes notice of Mr. Goldfinger and says, "Oh, sir.

Come on in. I've got just the seat for you." He takes

Goldfinger and brings him down to the best sear in the house.

Now, I like good seats, don't you? I mean, if somebody is

going to give me tickets to something, I get to the event

and it's a really good seat, I like that a lot. We all like

good seats. Not a problem with the good seats. He gets the good

seat right down front and center because the usher, of course, is

thinking, "This person is important. He's a VIP. We're

taking care of this guy because he just might do something for

the church. Then another guy walks in the church. This guy is

right off the streets. He's not dressed in fine clothing. He's

dressed in rags; in fact, he's shabby. He's maybe even

homeless. Financially this guy's got nothing working for him. He

has no net worth. He's told, "Go stand over there. Go sit over

there on the floor." Now, no problem in welcoming the rich

man. That's not the issue. Maybe the rich man was a lost man who

needed Jesus for all we know. No problem sitting the wealthy man

on the front row, the best seat in the house. That's not the

problem. Everyone is welcome, remember? Rich and poor. The

problem is on how the poor man was treated in comparison to the

rich man because while the rich man was viewed as worthy of the

best seat in the house, the poor man was seen as unworthy of any

seat in the house. He had no clout so he was out. "Sit over

there. Stand over there." The rich man was a somebody. The

poor man was a nobody in the eyes of the world. Therein lies

the problem. The Bible calls this here favoritism. There's a

word that also means snobbishness. It's a elitism.

The Bible says that snobbishness is sinfulness. This is not just

a social problem. This is a spiritual problem.

Discrimination and prejudice is more than preference. We all

have preferences, things we like, things we don't like.

That's normal. That's life. Sometimes our preferences can

turn into prejudices. That's when it becomes sin in our

lives. Partiality, playing favorites, looking on the

outside of a person and judging them instead of seeing the

person's heart as God would see them. This is more than just a

preference. It is, in the site of God, vicious sin, akin to

murder and thievery because the same passage compares partiality

or prejudice in the same sentence as murder and stealing,

so we can't say, "Well, it's just my little thing. My little

sin. That's the way I was raised. You know I came up in

the 50s or 60s. That's just the way I am." No, if you are in

Christ you are a new creation. You don't see things, you don't

see people the way you used to see people. Verse 4, that we

read earlier, says, "When you treat people like this, when you

discriminate against people based on their external

appearance, things they can't even change if they tried, are

you not," look at Verse 4, "are you not made distinctions among

yourselves and become judges with evil thoughts, vicious

thoughts? That among yourselves," notice this is the

sin of the church. You would expect this kind of behavior in

the world, right? But not in the church. It's been said that

prejudice in all its forms is ignorance. True. Prejudice is

arrogance, but it is more than ignorance, and it is more than

arrogance, it is vicious sin, evil sin in the heart of an

individual. We should know better. James, then, asks us a

question in Verses 5 and 6. Look at it again. Verse 5 he says,

"Listen my beloved brothers." Now, lest you think James is

about to hammer us for the sinfulness of this sin and this

kind of behavior, he says, "Now, listen beloved brothers." James

is a pastor and he's counseling us. Brothers and sisters, listen

to this. Pay attention to this. "Has not God chosen those who

are poor in the world to be rich in faith and heirs of the

kingdom?" Think about this, God loves and receives all who come

to Him in faith and in particular, God has an affection

for people who are poor. We see it all thought the Bible that

God loves the poor and that we as believers shall also love and

minister to the poor. Jesus hung out with the despised, the

disregarded, the diseased, the disrespected. He often did His

greatest work among the poor, the common people who heard Him

gladly, the outcast. God uses the poverty of the poor to give

them the richness of faith because when you recognize your

desperation and your poverty, you're a candidate for God to do

something great in your life, to minister his health and hope in

your life. The richness of His love towards you, but if you're

flying high, if you're rolling, we tend to get self-dependent

rather than God dependent. We see this in our own lives. Maybe

you started out like Deb and I did as college students getting

married. We didn't have hardly anything. We had a nice little

place to live in student housing and had a little money that we

made each month, but we were getting along just fine and

maybe you're like that. You started out slow and you were

poor, but you were rich in faith. You were rich in faith.

You're showing up and worshiping every Lord's day. You're serving

the Lord some way. You don't have much, but God's got all of

you. You've given your life to Him. You're tithing your income.

It's not much. A dime out of a dollar doesn't seem like much

until it becomes a thousand out of a ten thousand and ten

thousand out of a hundred thousand, right? Somehow that

all seems different. When we're just getting started there

weren't a lot of distractions, and then, along came our jobs

and our careers and with it the money, maybe the success comes

in, but with that, with the success comes stress, and then

the need to make more money. Before you know it you're

drifting spiritually. You started out poor in wealth and

rich in faith, but now you're poor in faith and rich in money.

You're price tags change. You have money to make, things to

do. Your priorities have changed. I dare say for a lot of

us, there was a time in our lives when we had less, but God

had more of us. That's the point that James is making, that when

you're poor, you're rich in faith. He goes on to say that

isn't it the rich that are oppressing the poor. Then, why

would you honor the rich and dishonor the poor? It can happen

to all of us. I've had to repent many times before I preached

this message. Attitudes and actions, because you see we

start valuing the wrong things in life and we start thinking

that our self-worth is all wrapped up in our net worth, but

it's not. Every man, every woman, is of infinite worth and

value to God and should be welcomed among Christians and in

the Christian church. Back to our story, rich man, poor man,

the problem of prejudice is when we indulge the wealthy and are

indifferent to the poor. That's the message. When we indulge the

wealthy and ignore or are indifferent to the poor, this is

anti-Christian behavior. It is. We're okay loving our neighbors

as long as we can pick our neighborhood. Nothing wrong with

living in a nice neighborhood; no problem with that. Just as we

said, it wasn't the man's wealth that was the problem. It was the

way he was treated as compared to the poor man. It's no problem

living in a nice neighborhood if God blesses you in the burbs.

The problem is when you close yourself off to people, either

in your neighborhood or out of your neighborhood, and no longer

see needs all around you. Anyone you find along your life's road,

who need you, is your neighbor. Therefore, we as the church of

Jesus Christ, those who love and follow Christ, we are to welcome

all and to reach out beyond ourselves and our own friends

and our own click. Remember, the church is not a club where

religious snobs get together and tell each other how wonderful we

are. We are the church designed not just for us, but those who

are not yet with us. I wonder how many people, not like this

poor man, at least he walked into church, at least he came

into church that day, I wonder how many people would never walk

into church because in their heart of hearts they think, "I

would never be accepted there. I would never be welcomed there. I

don't fit in there. Nobody cares for me there." How many? What

is the solution to the sin of discrimination? It's the

struggle for all of us at some level. The answer is the love of

Jesus Christ. Verse 8 James speaks of the royal law of God.

The royal law. The chief law. The king of all laws. What is

it? To love your neighbor as yourself. The full statement of

this great commandment given by our Lord, in summation of all

the law of God, is to love the Lord, your God, with all your

heart, your mind, your soul, your strength, and your neighbor

as yourself. Love

people. Tell people about Jesus because when you do you open up

your heart and your life and your world to make a difference

in somebody else's life.

[Music]

The book of James was written a

long time ago, 2000 years ago, to Christians who were dealing

with serious, significant problems just as we face today.

And the strong, direct words of James teach all believers how to

truly live our faith in times of testing, in tough times. The

Christian life isn't just about words but works as well. It's

about our conversations, our conduct, not simply our creeds

but our deeds. VISIBLE FAITH is about the faith that saves and

works. VISIBLE FAITH is our gift to say thank you for your

donation to help PowerPoint continue reaching out on this

station with the life-changing truth of God's word. So all you

need to do is just call or click to give and we will send you

your book. Thank you for your generous support and for helping

us broadcast the transforming message of the gospel 'till the

whole world hears.

There's a well-known scripture that tells

us that man looks on the outward appearance but the Lord looks at

the heart, God sees the heart. You know, in all my years of

ministry I've observed few sins in the church as destructive as

favoritism and prejudice. But the gospel of Jesus Christ is

the great equalizer because it's more than trite to say that the

ground is level at the foot of the cross, we are all the same

when we come to Jesus Christ. When people come to our churches

who don't seem to fit in we need to make sure that we welcome

them, that we show them the exact kind of love and care that

you would expect from a family member or from your best friend.

The answer to favoritism and discrimination is of course

love, love, the love of God, the love of Jesus Christ and you as

a follower of Jesus can be a force for good when you show

unconditional love for others. Thank you for viewing each week.

PowerPoint is such an awesome opportunity to teach God's word

and to speak truth into people's lives. I want to thank you for

praying with us, for watching each week and thank you for your

financial support, for giving so that we can keep taking this

message to the world.

it will take a few months for the fibroids to completely shrink most

prominent symptoms associated with fiber or discomfort are gone immediately after

the procedure once fibroids are deprived of a blood supply they stop growing in

starve as they shrink so will fibroid related abdomen bloat bloat

most women are back to regular activities within two weeks of having

youth uterine fibroid embolization recovery is much quicker when compared

to that of most surgical treatments the recovery time for a hysterectomy is six

weeks and women who undergo myomectomy can expect their recovery time to be

anywhere from two six weeks

embolisation is a medical term that refers to the blocking of blood vessels

Celebs Who Refuse To Wear Deodorant - Duration: 3:55.

When celebs hit the red carpet, a lot of attention is focused on the way they look, from their

immaculately styled hair and makeup to their luxury designer duds.

But a lot of these incredibly stylish folks are choosing to go without one product many

people consider an absolute necessity: deodorant.

It's not just gossip: The following Hollywood heavyweights openly admit they don't use the

stuff.

Cooper's shower strategy

Bradley Cooper may appear to be a vision of dapper perfection every time he steps foot

on the red carpet, but the Hangover star is hiding a secret.

He told Esquire in 2012,

"I don't use deodorant really anymore.

I do take a lot of showers, so maybe that helps."

When the magazine asked him if he took multiple showers a day, Cooper replied,

"In the morning and then at night.

And after I work out, I'll take a shower.

So maybe three a day."

Well, that explains California's drought.

Diaz's stinky theory

While promoting the 2014 film The Other Woman, actress Cameron Diaz told E! News,

"I don't believe in antiperspirant […] It's really bad for you.

I haven't used it for almost 20 years.

[...] You're stinky because you use antiperspirant."

When asked if even men should go without using it to keep the sweat and stench at bay, the

There's Something About Mary actress replied,

"Yup!

Let it go and just trim your armpit hair so it doesn't hold onto the scent."

McConaughey's manly musk

In a candid interview with People magazine, Matthew McConaughey revealed some of his go-to

products, including tea tree oil to keep his locks looking luscious.

He also said that people are shocked to hear that he makes his own face and body creams.

"I'm vain!"

"Part of the job."

"Oh I love it!"

As for smelling so fresh and so clean, the Oscar-winning actor insisted that a man should

smell like "a man," before admitting,

"I haven't worn deodorant in 20 years."

Hey, whatever makes you feel alright.

"Alright alright alright."

Ford's puppy love

Fashion designer and filmmaker Tom Ford was promoting his Black Orchid perfume in 2007

when he revealed to New York magazine that he says N-O to the D-O.

And not only that, he would prefer that the rest of us go deodorant-free, as well!

Ford told the magazine,

"I actually love the way that human beings smell.

[...] My smell is a little sweat, a little dog."

Ford went on to explain that smell is an integral part of attraction, and that cleanliness isn't

a priority for him.

"I don't like clean.

I don't like the smell of soap."

Julia's all-natural armpits

When she famously showed off her underarm hair at the April 1999 premiere of Notting

Hill, Julia Roberts sent the tabloids into a frenzy.

But her atypical armpits are also anti-perspirant free, a hygiene habit she shares with her

Valentine's Day co-star Bradley Cooper.

In a 2008 interview with Oprah Winfrey, she dished about her favorite skincare products

before admitting,

"I don't actually use deodorant.

I don't like to share that with a lot of people.

It's just never been my thing."

Glover's "hippie s--t"

After performing at "Powerhouse 2014" in New York City, actor and rapper Donald Glover,

also known as Childish Gambino, headed backstage to cool off and chat with the hosts of The

Breakfast Club.

The conversation quickly took a turn when the smell emanating from him became too much

for co-host Charlamagne tha God to handle.

"You don't wear deodorant or nothing either, do you?"

"Naw man."

"Yeah, I can tell."

Glover felt the need to explain himself, so the "This Is America" artist proudly proclaimed

that he was on some, quote, "hippie s--t" and rarely washed his clothes.

Kourtney's pungent phase

During a preview for a 2013 episode of Kourtney & Kim Take Miami, fans got a glimpse of just

how far mother of three Kourtney Kardashian had taken her much-touted "natural" lifestyle.

Her sister, Khloé, asked Kardashian's baby daddy, Scott Disick, why her body odor had

been more pungent than normal.

Disick replied,

"[It's] only because she doesn't believe in wearing deodorant because she thinks it's

bad for her breastfeeding or something."

Khloé tried to convince Disick to get her sister to wear "a little dab" of deodorant

to combat the smell, but, at the time, he didn't feel comfortable telling his then-girlfriend

about her stench.

Kardashian announced she was ditching her no-deodorant policy in 2017 on her official

website and would be, quote, "changing over to an all-natural deodorant" instead.

Japanese Street Food Tour in Osaka, Japan - Duration: 15:52.

Alright guys well we have an exciting video for you today.

It is going to be all about the street food.

We are here in Osaka (大阪市) in Dōtonbori (道頓堀) which is famous for nightlife

and street food.

We have come here in the middle of the day.

We're going to turn this into our lunch.

Yep.

And just try as many Japanese snacks and dishes as possible.

Japanese street food for you guys.

Okay so time for our very first snack.

And we are starting with something sweet.

This is called Taiyaki (鯛焼き) and it is basically a pancake shaped like a fish.

So we got two different varieties.

They have the classic which is stuffed with red bean paste.

Right.

This is made with adzuki beans.

Yep.

And this other one is stuffed with sweet potato.

So yeah this should be tasty.

So I'm going to start with the red bean paste first.

Let's bite into this little fish.

Mwah!

Right into its head.

Mmmm.

A lethal blow.

Oh, hot.

Piping hot!

They made it right fresh for us guys.

The bean paste.

Oh that burns.

That is burning?

Mmm.

What does it taste like thought?

The dough is really nice.

It reminds me of waffle batter.

Yep.

Like that kind of flavor.

It is really nice.

Is it fairly sweet?

You know what it gets all the sweetness from the red bean paste.

Right.

That is the predominant flavor in this.

But yeah I really like this.

Let's wait and see what this one is all about.

So I'm also going to try the red bean one first as well.

Let's see.

Oh that is so good.

I've had these before and I've never had one that has been so generously stuffed yeah with

red beans.

This one is just oozing with red bean paste.

Look at that guys.

Just oozing with red bean paste.

And this is also a popular snack in Korea.

Yeah.

That is where I've seen it before.

Exactly.

We've had these in Korea so that is where I first tried it.

But it is my first time to have it in Japan and it is delicious.

Like oh my gosh it is like this would be the perfect winter food.

Like I could just imagine like walking outside on a snowy day or a cold day and having this

piping hot.

Oh my gosh.

So now Sam is going to try the sweet potato one first.

Sweet potato one let's try that.

Oh wow.

Again it is so good.

It is really sweet but this has a smoother consistency than the bean paste.

Oh!

So I think I might even like this one better.

Wow.

Look at that.

Mmmm.

What do you think?

This one is smoother.

It is smoother huh.

I see what you mean.

Wow.

That is quite good.

It is really good.

Yeah and um speaking of prices.

This one stuffed with sweet potato was 200 Yen and the other one stuffed with red bean

paste was a 180 Yen.

So the red bean paste is a little bit cheaper.

Slightly cheaper.

Just by a few cents.

Yeah.

But yeah this is quite good.

In my opinion it is worth trying them both though.

Yes.

Do.

And they have other flavors.

Yeah.

You can get chocolate, you can get custard.

I know.

You can make a whole snack why not sample a few.

A whole meal out of it.

Okay so next up we have found a place serving Kushikatsu (串カツ).

Round two guys of street food guys.

So this is Kushikatsu (串カツ).

This is basically they are fried skewers.

Kushi means skewer.

Mmhmm.

Katsu means meat.

Yeah.

But the interesting thing is that you can have um things that are beyond just meat.

Yes.

Like you can get fish.

You can see here there is a whole meat section.

Yeah.

There is seafood.

You can also do vegetables and what is considered other.

Yeah.

So I'll just a read a few of these for you.

So for instance you can get cheese done.

Uh huh.

You can also get something like Chinese yam.

I saw quail eggs.

Quail eggs.

There is something called fish paste tube.

I have no idea what that is.

There is even chorizo.

Look there is even banana with chocolate.

So basically the individual pieces are dipped in egg and then they're coated in crumbs and

then they're deep-fried and yeah this is what they should look like when they arrive at

the table.

Oh!

So the Kushikatsu (串カツ) have arrived at the table.

If you take a look down here we ordered an assorted tray which comes with 10 pieces.

It was 1200 Yen and yeah we decided let them surprise us.

We don't know what we're having.

We don't even know.

Technically you could order off the menu individually what you want to have but we thought this

would work.

Prices range from like 80 to 200 Yen on the menu depending how fancy the ingredients.

Exactly.

And there is one very strict rule here at this restaurant.

What is that?

You have the sauce.

You can only dip once.

Yes.

That means no double dipping.

No triple dipping.

No like taking a bite exactly and oh I want more sauce dip it in some more.

If you want more sauce there is cabbage.

Yes.

What you do is take the cabbage leaf.

Right.

And almost use it like a spoon.

Yep.

To pour some sauce on your stick.

What an ingenious way of doing things.

Yeah.

That is just incredible.

So I think we should dig in because this is looking pretty good.

So I've had my eye on this one because it is one of the few things I can identify.

This is lotus root for sure.

Lotus root.

So I'm going to take it for a really good dunk.

Take it for a swim.

Since I only get one chance.

One shot.

And then we bite into it.

Mmmm.

Oh wow.

Have I ever had lotus root?

This is very sweet.

This is a flavor I'm not really familiar with.

That is fascinating.

Mmmm.

Trying new things here.

It is like sweet and almost floral.

Wow.

That is really interesting.

Sam's turn over here.

Yes and this is a bit of a giveaway.

It looks like shrimp.

It sure looks like a shrimp.

Alright I'm taking it for a gigantic swim.

Duh da duh.

Look at it swimming.

Da da duh.

Just keep swimming.

Oh that is so juicy.

That shrimp is so juicy and I love the breaded crispiness of the batter.

This is awesome we just started.

We just started.

We just begun.

So I'm going to grab another one.

This looks like fish don't fail me.

And I'm going to demonstrate how you can use your little cabbage leaf for scooping.

So I haven't dipped it at all.

Let's make it happen.

But look.

Look at that.

It works out.

Woah.

Quite well.

Zero contamination.

Because the cabbage has like these little pockets and ridges that collect the sauce.

It collects it really nicely.

So yeah give that a shot.

Mmmm.

What do you think?

Yeah.

This one is good.

Is it good?

I do like this one.

I like it because I can identify it.

Yum.

I always feel safer eating something I can identify.

Hahaha.

So we found our next snack.

This is our third snack here in Dōtonbori (道頓堀).

And we found a gyoza (餃子) stand so we ordered up a little tray.

This was 400 Yen and you get 8 pieces.

So yeah and they also gave it to us with a bit of lime.

I've never had gyoza (餃子) with lime before but we were like why not.

Why not.

So I've squeezed a little bit of that on top and this is still steaming.

This is piping hot.

They prepared it fresh right in front of us.

Wow.

What do you think?

Mmmm.

Is it good?

That is good.

Yeah?

Wow.

You know what?

What?

It needs soy sauce.

It needs more soy sauce.

It needs a bit of soy sauce.

I just need that saltiness when I'm having gyoza (餃子).

There we go.

Oh look at all of that.

That is mandatory.

You drowned it in there.

Drowning it in there.

So now, now things should be right.

And I'm sure glad that we're eating it under cover.

Like it is chucking it down right now in terms of rain.

So much rain.

Yeah.

Look at this, this is like falling apart right in my chopsticks.

Yeah.

Yeah, I have to say the nice thing about this market.

Mmmm.

Is that you have some covered sections so you can visit even on a rainy day.

Oh how is that?

I love how crispy it is on the outside but it is super juicy in the inside.

Yeah.

Some of the juiciest gyoza I've ever had before.

It is really tasty.

I like it a lot.

(Speaking Japanese)

(Rain sounds)

And when it rains in Osaka (大阪市) it pours.

It pours.

Oh my gosh how the weather has changed today.

So lucky we brought our umbrellas.

But anyways we are moving on to our 4th dish right now.

And we have something called Takoyaki (たこ焼き / 蛸焼).

Takoyaki (たこ焼き / 蛸焼) is basically a ball shaped snack.

It is made with batter.

It has chopped up octopus.

It has pickled ginger.

Um and then once it is ready they put on a bit of barbecue sauce, some mayo and these

little things that you see moving around.

That is bonito flakes.

It is fish flakes.

Yes.

Um the first time I saw that I was like is this alive.

Hahaha.

I know.

I'm eating something that is still moving.

It is like why is it moving?

But yeah this should be tasty.

So I forgot to mention but this is actually a dish that originated in Osaka (大阪市)

in the 30s so if you come here like you have to try Takoyaki (たこ焼き / 蛸焼).

It is just mandatory.

How could you not?

Look at these little balls.

It is one of the most iconic food items you can try in Osaka (大阪市).

Yeah.

For sure.

For sure.

And they are so like malleable.

Wow, look at that.

Look at that.

So let's bite into it.

It is performance art watching them prepare it too.

It is quite impressive.

Oh man I should not blow on it the flakes are like flying away.

Piping hot huh?

Piping hot.

So my impressions.

I thought this ball was going to be a lot more solid but now that I've bitten into it

inside it is just very juicy.

It is still very like moist and mushy and gooey.

And a little bit mushy.

Yeah.

Wow.

So it s definitely something that you can't just be eating with your hand.

You need chopsticks or like a little toothpick or something.

Yeah, exactly.

Otherwise it would just disintegrate.

Exactly.

Let's have one more bite.

And you can see the chunks for octopus as well.

There it is.

The octopus, a little bit of chopped chives.

It is pretty tasty I have to say.

Oh wow you can see it.

And the price for this we paid 450 Yen and you get 6 pieces.

Good stuff huh?

Alright mister.

Let's try this.

The takoyaki (たこ焼き / 蛸焼).

Piping hot.

In he goes.

Mmmm.

Zooming into that face.

Mmmmm.

Will he like it?

Will he not.

Oh I really like it.

You are right this is the mushiest kind we've ever tried before.

Yeah.

We've had more crispy kind.

And we've also had ones that have been prepackaged and they've almost been a little dry.

So this feels a lot more like the real deal.

Like the more authentic type of yeah local dish that it is meant to be.

It is so flavorful and good.

Yeah with that sauce and the mayo and the flakes.

I love it.

Good stuff.

I love it.

Alright.

Yes.

Last but not least yep.

We need dessert.

Moving on to dessert.

So take a look at this guys it is melting quickly.

I've got a big scoop of vanilla ice cream (Monaka - 最中).

Yes.

I have red bean paste.

Red bean paste and then I have uh an outer shell here.

Nice.

It looks crunchy.

So let's try that.

It looks good.

Mmmm.

How is that?

That is nice.

Oh yeah.

And as Sam finishes off the ice cream the price for that was a 160 Yen.

Good value.

Not bad.

Alright so Sam had ice cream.

I am having Warabimochi (蕨餅).

And I kind of have to assemble this myself.

So the mochi (餅 - もち) comes in this little plastic container.

Yep.

Oh that almost looks like jelly.

Yeah.

And then we're going to have to add this powder on top.

Brilliant.

Let's do it.

So this mochi (餅 - もち) is our last Japanese dessert.

Yeah.

On this street food tour.

Yes.

This is the very last food item from this Japanese street food tour here in Osaka.

Mmmm.

Kind of sad.

Wow.

That is very gentle mochi (餅 - もち).

Yeah.

I've been eating a lot of mochi since we arrived in Japan.

Yep.

This one is clear in color.

Yep.

And it is more jelly-like.

Yep.

It just moves more.

It is softer.

It is squirmy.

Hahaha.

It is nice.

And I really like it with this powder that we've added on top.

And this one was what 260?

Mmmm.

This one was 280.

Oh 280 sorry.

280.

So a bit more than yours.

Yep.

But it is a very mild sweetness.

It is a nice dessert to finish off with.

Excellent choice.

It is time to say goodbye.

Urgh.

Goodbye.

It is always sad when the street food tour is ending.

Yeah.

Because we just love street food so much.

And I have to admit this is the first time we've ever filmed street food in the rain

so it was an interesting procedure.

Hahaha.

Anyways we really enjoyed this street food tour here in Osaka (大阪市) and if you

want to see more Japanese food and travel content stay tuned because we have a lot more

coming.

Bye for now.

I got one.

Aggravated assault, moved to Arkham twice.

What do you got on the roof?

We're tight, but frankly, there's a lot of windows up here.

Commissioner Loeb dedicated his life to law enforcement...

I remember when I first took office...

...and I asked if he wanted to stay on as commissioner.

And he said he would, provided I kept my politics out of his office.

Clearly he was not a man who minced words, nor should he have been.

A number of policies that he enacted as commissioner were unpopular.

Policies that flooded my office with angry calls and letters...

- Who's that? - What happened?

They took our guns.

And our uniforms.

And as we recognize the sacrifice of this man...

...we must remember that vigilance is the price of safety.

Stand by. Honor guard.

Attention. Port arms.

Ready! Aim!

Ready! Aim!

Halo 3 : ODST – Making of "The Life" (BTS VOST) - Duration: 4:41.

Welcome to Halo 3: ODST, the newest game in the Halo series.

But this time, Master Chief isn't here to save the day. You're a human soldier, but not just any soldier.

You're an Orbital Drop Shock Trooper, an ODST.

ODSTs drop behind enemy lines from miles above the surface of a planet.

In this short, we follow the journey of one soldier,

Tarkov, from the moment he is inspired to become a soldier,

to his coming of age on a battlefield, and as he becomes a leader.

Our story begins with a military funeral.

Bungie, Halo's developer, collaborated with the Academy Award-winning costume designer from Saving Private Ryan and Band of Brothers

to design a Halo-style honor guard uniform, complete with special insignias and rank displays.

Legacy, the studio behind movie villains like the Alien and Terminator

use 3D models created by Bungie to create accurate replicas of the same weapons,

armor and enemies that appear in the game, down to the smallest detail.

We had about 30 people working on this for about two weeks to go from digital files over to costumes.

Which was a tremendous effort.

Fortunately, we had some help from Bungie, they gave us some files,

and from the digital files we had a rapid prototype.

Included was the game's newest weapon, the silent submachine gun.

They also created the special ODST armor

from the shiny new version right off their assembly line to the battle-scarred version worned by the characters in the short.

With the same 3D models from the game, they created an actual Brute minor, one of the game's main enemies.

Its facial expressions were controlled by tiny motors linked to a remote control.

The Brute even has its signature Spike rifle.

Paratroopers today use parachutes, but 500 years from now,

the parachute has been replaced by a drop pod.

Drop pod is a single man method of insertion,

so you can think of it almost as man bomb.

This is the way that ODSTs insert into battle,

they drop in from orbit in single-man pods,

the doors blow off and they come out.

To replicate a drop, an interior section of a single pod is built,

then the visual effects artist at Asylum created a dizzying freefall view and () viewscreens to show other ODSTs

and the pod's various gauges and controls.

But some of the biggest stars of the film were the various locations.

The battle scene was shot at the bottom of a stripmining coal operation.

This location served as the planet where our rookie ODST has his first drop.

With some help from the pyrotechnic crew, Asylum created the intense firefight,

falling drop pods, Covenant Banshees, and of course the climax of Tarkov's encounter with a Brute.

For the funeral, a military cemetery was created inside the cooling tower of an active nuclear power plant.

Just outside the tower, a mudpit,

an obstacle wall and a razor wire course were created to simulate ODST training.

Our drill instructors, actual Hungarian Special Forces soldiers,

fired blanks as the recruits crawled through the razor wire.

Finally, the shoot moved to an abandoned Soviet aluminium refinery.

This is the location of the final battle-cross-memorial scene.

Tarkov, now older, pays his last respects to a fallen squadmate,

then leads his young soldiers into battle once again.

We shot one additional scene on this location,

which you won't see in the short.

In fact, you will only see it here, right now.

The ODST. Join them, and drop into hell.

Feet first.

WE ARE ODST.

JUMP IN.

HALIFAX : An amazing surprise! - Duration: 3:04.

Hello the migrators!

Welcome to Canada!

today we are going to Halifax

a city in the eastern part of Canada

in Nova Scotia

Let's go!

We are in very popular place :

The Citadel

an old fortress full of the military

past of Halifax

If you are interested by

the Canadian history or the city's one

you should come to visit!

As in london there is

very expressive guards

He don't speak that much...

I love how the cityt was developped

around the ocean

There is quay like this one

everywhere where you can come to relax

If you have in off time

I invite you to have a drink outside

to watch the sunset

In 1917 a ship full of explosive

exploded in the Halifax's bay

and destroyed a third of the city

It's the second biggest human explosion

after Hiroshima.

The area most affected by the explosion

was the Hysrostone area

All the houses around me was destroyed

they had to rebuilt everything again.

If you want to relax after your visit

you can come to the Public Garden

it's the oldest park in Canada.

If you visit the park

have a look to the american agave

it produce once in his life

a huge 9m flower

it would be shame to miss it!

After few hours visitng the city

I realize that this city is so dynamic

there is people everywhere

it's young

I want to discover more!

But this is also a very old city

I feel that there is a lot of history here

I love the mix between the old and the new

It's very well done

That's something I don't see that much

in canadian cities.

Halifax is also the city who rescued

the Titanic passenger

When the Titanic has sunk

it's where the survivors were sent.

The live music is also very popular

and to discover it

someone told me to come at "The Local"

This is the end of this video

I hope you enjoyed discovering

Halifax with me
