With its roots into Fargo and try to

Comes to the new beers that we can come out with

And fun ideas and events that we have planned

So, what we try to brand

Ourselves off of is the community of Fargo

When people kind of connect with

Us we want them to sort of connect with

Fargo and with North Dakota in general

How can we be the best representation of Fargo

Fargo itself the city has a great brand

It's really attractive

The residents here we are really passionate about our city

We're known for something in this area too

So we really like to tie our brand

To what the city's doing

We've been, we're really proud to be from Fargo

But we do them in our unique way here in Fargo

And how can we best use those

SO MUCH MASS EFFECT: ANDROMEDA NEWS! Release Date and CES Trailer Breakdown! - Duration: 7:04.

We got so much Mass Effect: Andromeda news yesterday that I don't know where to start.

You know what, note to self: never start out another video by saying jeez louise.

Welcome to Give It Thought, I'm Jake and let's try to sift through all this Mass

Effect news because, I guess someone has to do it.

So, first off, arguably the biggest piece of info to come out of Bioware and EA's

showing at CES 2017 was the game's release date.

Which is March the 21st in North America and March 23rd everywhere else.

I have no idea why companies still do those staggered release dates anymore.

We all know they have the capabilities to ship the game at the same time everywhere,

but here we are in 2017 and this weird practice still happens.

Ah, well, at least we finally officially know when the game is coming.

Although, this is the same release date that leaked with that art book that popped up on

Amazon a while back.

It also had that March the 21st release date attached to it.

So, that leak turned out to be true as many suspected because that was in-line with the

release dates of the last two Mass Effect games, which also released early in the year.

This means that the game will release alongside a bunch of other upcoming games that month

in Nier: Automata, the new Ghost Recon, as well as Nintendo's new console.

March is looking to be a busy month for gamers.

Plus, there are those releases that have a Q1 2017 release date, so who knows how packed

that month will be.

Now let's take a look at arguably the most revealing trailer we've seen for Mass Effect:

Andromeda so far.

First off we get the see a ship flying through what looks to be an asteroid belt of some

kind.

It's very nimble for such a large ship and kind of reminds me of a butterfly flitting

through a meadow or something.

Eventually, we get to see it burning through the atmosphere, which does bring back memories

of No Man's Sky.

Ooh, gonna get some hate for comparing the two.

Just being honest.

And the Tempest makes it through and begins landing, and then we get our first look at

the menu screen.

Then we get to see whoever is playing this footage click on auto-level up.

What a wimp.

Auto-level up…

After that we get to see a vast planetscape, with lava pits scattered everywhere with some

odd-looking spires dotting the environment.

Those look too, what would you say, geometric?

Yeah, those look to carved to be formed naturally.

Right after that we get another look at the menu and we get our first look at profiles!

As Game Informer revealed last month, this entry in the franchise would take a more open-ended

approach to character development, as we can see right here.

In the trailer, if we pause for a second, you can see that these profiles are grayed

out which means that you will likely have to earn those somehow.

Maybe reaching a certain rank in another profile or completing a mission that corresponds to

that profile.

But, speaking of ranks, we can see that you can rank up in each profile because the Ryder

player-character is rank one in both engineer and soldier.

Knowing that, this snippet of gameplay in the trailer is likely from the beginning of

the game.

So, the player chooses engineer and then runs up to a console, so you may have to switch

profiles to interact with different objects.

This sounds a little bit troublesome, so let's hope it is streamlined somehow.

On PC, I'm sure there will be hotkeys, but on console, who knows how Bioware will handle

it.

Next up we get to see skill trees and skill point allocation.

There's not much footage of skill point stuff, but we do get to see the large selection

of skills here.

The player selects the Flamethrower tree and we get our first glimpse of skill trees in

Mass Effect.

I'm a big fan of skill tree level advancement in games, especially games like Borderlands

which I think handles it perfectly.

One thing, and this is a real nitpick, so feel free to insult me down below, but I can't

stand that rogue R down there that should be on the end of flamethrower.

Ugh, just hyphenate flame and thrower instead of doing that.

It's so ugly.

Anyway, and that's not the end of my obsessive compulsive tendencies in this video, but soon

after we see the player rank up to, well, rank 4 in the engineer category after the

skill points are spent.

Also, we see a new profile being unlocked called technical overseer.

So, it looks like ranking up other profiles further unlocks other ones.

I'm assuming there are other ways to do it, though.

And there's the next piece of broken text.

Just hyphenate Bioware.

Please, just hyphenate.

And, right after this we get our first peek at combat.

We see two shots be fired into what is called an assembler, which looks like some shrunken

down form of a Metal Gear.

It went down fairly easy, too.

And then we see Shephard channel his or her inner Dragonborn by using the flames spell.

No, not really, obviously that was the recently upgraded flamethrower, but it does look very

reminiscent of Skyrim to me.

This makes me wonder how many other weapons are built into your suit like that.

And then we see Ryder make a lunge for the creature and put some melee punishment down

through its shield and takes it out with another couple shots.

Then we get to see a few more enemies be taken down handily by the player, while we see some

on-screen prompts telling you to find cover.

The player just Rambos through them, though.

And then it goes to black.

As I said, this was probably the most revelatory trailer released so far, but it does have

me worried.

While the combat looked really good and intense, I'm still afraid this game will focus on

that a bit too much.

I want role-playing out of my Mass Effect games.

That's where three fell short, not counting the ending.

But, I'd say Bioware, like all RPG developers are trying to appeal to the mainstream audience

and simplify their games too much.

I don't want to speculate too much, so let's move on.

So, this trailer showed us some combat as well as a peek into the skill tree and just

overall character advancement.

This showed that the game will not be drastically different from past series' entries, but

it does have its own unique flavor.

The combat looked chaotic, which is something you always want from a third-person shooter,

the upgrade system looked fairly dense, and if that was indeed representative of in-game

footage as was claimed at the end, then this will probably be Bioware's best looking

game to date.

I wish I had touched on the graphics more in the video because the lighting looks amazing,

especially for a game of this size.

The explosions look great, character movement looks natural.

Oh, there's so much to dissect here.

But, I just wanted to catch everyone up on the latest Mass Effect news and sort of breakdown

the trailer and show you some stuff you might have missed.

Also, the release date will be March 21st, 2017 in the US and the 23rd everywhere else

so mark your calendars for that.

And I always like to know what everyone thinks about games, especially Mass Effect.

And one question I want to ask is: do you think this game is over-hyped at this point?

If so, you do have a good argument.

- A simple movement you can do

with a couple of dumbbells

to really build your forearm strength

and your hand strength is a simple palms-up wrist curl.

To do this movement sitting down on a bench,

hands draped over the knees right at the wrists.

From here you can allow the weight

to go down to your fingertips and then roll it up

curling the weight upwards

bending those palms up and inwards

to really contract the forearms.

And relax it back down.

Make sure your elbows stay planted on your thighs.

Don't let them come up and don't let the wrists come up.

This is all a motion with the hands

just articulating that wrist joint.

Chose a weight that you can

do eight to twelve reps with minimum.

For this movement I'd say even a little bit more.

It just takes that to burn out those forearms a little bit.

Extenuate the squeeze of that wrist curl

and you'll be in good shape.

A great way to build your forearms.

A memo from the Department of Homeland Security, which was recently reviewed by Reuters, suggest

that the Trump administration plans to hit the ground running on the construction of

that U.S.-Mexico border wall when they move into the White House later this month.

The memo apparently summarized a meeting held between DHS officials and Trump's transition

team on December 5th in which requests were made for an assessment of "all assets available

for border wall and barrier construction."

In a wide-ranging request for documents and analysis, President-elect Donald Trump's transition

team asked the Department of Homeland Security last month to assess all assets available

The requests were made in a Dec. 5 meeting between Trump's transition team and Department

of Homeland Security officials, according to an internal agency memo reviewed by Reuters.

The document offers a glimpse into the president-elect's strategy for securing the U.S. borders and

reversing polices put in place by the Obama administration.

The Trump transition team also allegedly took aim at Obama's executive actions, requesting

"copies of every executive order and directive sent to immigration agents since Obama took

office in 2009."

Trump has said he intends to undo Obama's executive actions on immigration, including

a 2012 order to allow children brought to the U.S. illegally by their parents to remain

in the country on temporary authorizations that allow them to attend college and work.

The program, known as DACA, collected information including participants' addresses that could

theoretically be used to locate and deport them if the policy is reversed.

Another request of the transition team was for information about whether any migrant

records have been changed for any reason, including for civil rights or civil liberties

concerns, according to the internal memo seen by Reuters.

Among other immigration-related questions, the Trump transition team also hinted at expanding

an aerial surveillance program and growing detention capacity for captured illegal immigrants.

One program the transition team asked about, according to the email summary, was Operation

Phalanx, an aerial surveillance program that authorizes 1,200 Army National Guard airmen

to monitor the southern border for drug trafficking and illegal migration.

The program once deployed 6,000 airmen under President George W. Bush but was downsized

by Barack Obama, a move blasted by some conservatives who argue the surveillance is vital to border

security.

The team also asked about the department's capacity for expanding immigrant detention

and about an aerial surveillance program that was scaled back by the Obama administration

but remains popular with immigration hardliners.

And it asked whether federal workers have altered biographic information kept by the

department about immigrants out of concern for their civil liberties.

Which sent two of the largest publicly-traded operators of private detention centers soaring

even higher.

Now, it seems the only question left to answer is if/how Mexico will pay for the "f**king

wall"?
