Liverpool seek double-double vs. Arsenal

Liverpool head to Arsenal for the 94th time in their history on Friday night, having won 22 times at the Gunners' home, suffering 40 defeats.

Overall though, Liverpool have the edge against their North London counterparts, with 73 wins to Arsenal's 64.

The Reds are looking to complete a second successive league double over the Gunners following their 4-0 victory at Anfield back in August.

This always feels like a barnstormer of a fixture, and Friday's meeting should be no different.

Both Liverpool and Arsenal are attack-minded outfits who approach the game in a refreshing manner, and there have been some memorable tussles throughout history.

The pair are right in the thick of the top-four battle, and both Jurgen Klopp and Arsene Wenger will know how important a win in north London could be.

The Gunners haven't exactly been setting the world alight of late, with a lethargy rumoured to be setting in around the club, but they keep winning matches, especially at home.

Their only dropped points at the Emirates in the league this season came against Man United, when the hosts actually played very well, in general.

Liverpool should turn up with a certain swagger about them, following Sunday's 4-0 drubbing of Bournemouth, and they have an attacking unit capable of destroying an Arsenal defence not always brimming with dominance.

Mo Salah is still in remarkable form, in particular, having now found the net 20 times in just 26 appearances this season.

The Gunners possess brilliance of their own in Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez and Alexandre Lacazette, however, and the visitors' back-line cannot afford to perform like it did at Man City and Tottenham earlier in the campaign.

Just one point and one place separates the two sides, with Liverpool ahead currently – if they could make it four points come late Friday night, that would be huge.

Klopp has confirmed that Joel Matip is back fit again, although it is unlikely that he will start, following some decent form from Dejan Lovren and Ragnar Klavan.

Adam Lallana is in a similar boat, with the manager saying, "he is not ready for three games and minutes in a row", so a cameo role appears likely.

Daniel Sturridge has been unwell, so he will likely miss out.

Alberto Moreno and Nathaniel Clyne are still out, and will be for the foreseeable future, with Andrew Robertson and Joe Gomez expected to start at full-back.

Sadio Mane's form has been disappointing of late and it will be interesting to see if he comes back into the side, having missed out against Bournemouth.

With Salah, Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino certainties to play, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in very good form, what will happen with Liverpool's reigning Player of the Year?.

Arsenal are without Olivier Giroud after the Frenchman picked up a hamstring injury in midweek, and Shkodran Mustafi, Santi Cazorla and Aaron Ramsey are also absent.

He's really fit, you could see it at Bournemouth.

He looks in really good shape, played different positions to what he could before [at Arsenal].

"I'm fine for the moment but I see space for improvement as well, that's good.

we'll also be telling you about the New Year event in Tanki Online

and announcing a crazy frosty weekend.

Hello Tankers!

In the last V-LOG we announced a new rugby mode in Tanki Online.

You might have noticed the mode didn't come out this week,

and maybe it will be released next week.

Right now we want to show you what the ball will look like.

Unlike the flag, the ball is a 3D object.

It comes down onto the middle of the field on a parachute,

and once captured the ball is placed above the tank.

One more thing to clarify,

rugby is NOT a holiday event — it's a completely new mode!

And it will stay in the game after the holidays.

Tanki on smartphones.

This is a huge topic and we'll have much more to share in the future.

Today we'll tell you about the controls and how we optimized the mobile version.

From the start of the development of the mobile version of Tanki

we knew, that using Flash for smartphones and tablets is a bad idea.

There's a reason why all Apple gadgets don't support Flash.

It's all about the number of required resources, and, consequently, heavy lags occur.

First tests confirmed this theory.

At that moment we made the decision to port Tanki Online on HTML5.

And from the first working demo we started testing it on mobile.

In the end, we managed to optimize mobile version,

but not everyone has best Samsung Galaxy phones to play it on.

Practice showed, that even HTML5 doesn't provide comfortable FPS

on medium-level devices.

This is why we are working on a special client for phones and tablets.

First tests are planned for the end of January.

And, of course, we'll share the results with you.

Now controls.

Right now in the game there are 2 control schemes:

keyboard with a mouse and only keyboard.

Mobile devices are a fully third way to control the game.

And each option has its pros and cons.

Best arguments for playing with a keyboard are these -

precision and control of your shooting.

Disadvantages:

players can only look around with the speed of the turret rotating,

and camera goes up and down using separate keys,

and it also takes lots of time to execute.

Now the option "keyboard + mouse".

Here you can quickly look around,

and moving the mouse forward and backward

changes the angle of the camera in a small range.

Disadvantages:

you have to constantly check the position of the turret,

and it adds extra time to aim, which impacts your precision in real battles…

Shaft excluded.

And about mobiles - here we have two huge disadvantages.

First you have less feedback controlling your tank with the touchscreen,

and second you basically need to relearn everything.

But there are pros too:

you can choose how to control the camera based on the turret.

It can follow the turret - as on the keyboard -

or to be freely moving around - like with the mouse.

Also using a fast swipe you can quickly raise or lower the camera.

And rotating your hull can be smoother, meaning, you can turn bit by bit.

Can you play like a pro on the phone?

Yes, it's just a matter of getting used to the controls.

in all regular battles instead of Gold Boxes

there is a chance for holiday containers to drop.

This doesn't apply to Gold Box supplies dropped by players,

only to random drops on the maps.

Containers themselves have changed a little since Black Friday as well -

now they have big packs of crystals, supplies, Gold Boxes, Premium, and more rare paints

like the new animated paint "Holiday lights".

On Thursday, President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump spent part of Thanksgiving

Day with members of the U.S. Coast Guard in Riviera Beach, Florida.

The first lady had previously worn the shirt when returning from Camp David.

The first lady has developed a balancing act between her typical high-fashion looks � which

usually cost a couple of thousand of dollars � and clothing she wears when she's making

While Melania will wear a $3,000 coat to the annual turkey pardoning, she'll change into

a button down and baseball cap to spend time with the Coast Guard.

It's the same strategy that leads the first lady to wear stilettos while leaving the White

house, but change into her baseball cap and sneakers on the plane.

Michelle Obama became famous for her appreciation of Target and J. Crew fashion during her time

as first lady.

Obama used fashion to appear as an accessible yet aspirational "mom-in-chief" � a look

that Melania Trump seems to be adopting herself.
