Korea makes final touches on Olympic preparation,.. - Duration: 2:45.
Korea is just weeks away... from hosting is first Olympic Games in three decades.
The organizing committee and others involved... are putting the final touches to be fully
prepared to play host to the global games.
Transport to the venues is ready... and upgrades to facilities are made to ensure athletes
and spectators are comfy and shielded from the cold.
Lee Ji-won reports.
With only 50 days left to go until the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics,.. Korea is putting
on its final touches... on 6-and-a-half years worth of preparations.
On Thursday, a ceremony was held to mark the launch... of the Gyeonggang high-speed KTX
rail line.
Extending the previous route to the eastern city of Gangneung,... the new line takes visitors
from Seoul... directly to the host cities of the 2018 Olympics in a much shorter time.
It normally took 3 to 6 hours,... depending on the mode of transportation, to get to Gangneung
from Seoul,... but the new line cuts the travel time to slightly under 2 hours.
(Korean) "The existing line went around the region
to get to Gangneung, but the new line goes right through the Taebaek Mountain Range."
And during the Olympic season, more trains will be running,.. not to mention the temporary
operation of trains from Incheon International Aiport straight to Pyeongchang and Gangneung.
The train will be officially opened to the public starting Friday.
Venues are also getting their final touches.
Jeongseon Alpine Centre, where one of the first Olympic events will be held, has completed
all of its construction and tests,... and now at the final stages of setting up the
fences, piling artificial snow and grooming the surface by January.
Now, while the construction of the Olympic Stadium, where the opening and closing ceremonies
will be held, was completed months ago,... the organizing committee is making improvements
in the facilities.
At a concert held at the stadium last month,.. a number of spectators suffered from hypothermia.
As fighting the cold has been one of the major concerns at next year's opening ceremony,...
the organizing committee will install heaters at corners and windshield.
(Korean- ) "We will build a transparent wall around the
inside of the stadium to block the wind from coming in without hindering the spectators'
view."
The committee also plans to distribute blankets, hot packs and other winter wears to keep the
spectators warm.
With the hardware for the Winter Games finalizing, the organizing committee is now focused on
boosting promotion and ticket sales... to get one step closer to successfully hosting
the country's first Olympics in 30 years.

Unchanged or does Sadio Mane return? – Predicting Liverpool's lineup vs. Arsenal - Duration: 4:14.
Unchanged or does Sadio Mane return? – Predicting Liverpool's lineup vs. Arsenal
Jurgen Klopp has rotated more than any Premier League manager this season, but could we see an unchanged Liverpool start against Arsenal?.
The Reds head to the Emirates on Friday night seeking a fifth consecutive away league win to make it a very happy Christmas indeed for Kopites.
Klopp's side have struggled against top-six rivals this season, but recent excellence on the road will provide belief that the big-game dominance can be rediscovered starting against Arsene Wenger's men.
Most would expect Klopp to make changes as the hectic Christmas period begins, but could the Reds' midweek rest and stunning form last time out inspire a change of tact with an unchanged XI?.
Team News.
Only Nathaniel Clyne & Alberto Moreno out injured giving Klopp strong squad Joel Matip close to returning but Emirates trip could be too soon Daniel Sturridge could return to involvement after illness Emre Can available after serving one-match ban Sadio Mane pushing for starting role after rest in Bournemouth win Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain hoping to keep starting shirt on Emirates return Trent Alexander-Arnold, James Milner, Adam Lallana & Dominic Solankeall available.
Liverpool's XI vs. The Gunners.
No midweek fixture for the first time since November's international break has certainly been welcome ahead of the relentless Christmas schedule featuring four games in 11 days.
The Reds will have enjoyed time to recover and recharge for the festive run, but also prepare for Friday's showdown in a way Arsenal haven't due to their midweek League Cup involvement.
With this in mind, and considering the stunning performance produced at Bournemouth, Klopp could be tempted to simply name the same XI which breezed past the Cherries.
The Reds would operate in a very fluid system in attempt to overwhelm Arsenalbut would be something close 4-2-3-1 – with Oxlade-Chamberlain again in the central role he wasn't trusted with at the Emirates on return.
It's very likely Klopp will stick closely to what worked so brilliantly last time out, as outlined for reasons above and with another three-day break ahead of Swansea's Boxing Day visit.
However, the boss may feel an injection of fresh legs is needed for what will be an electric paced game, so a couple of changes and some supreme quality could be introduced.
One alteration could see Emre Can – fully rested after his one-game ban – enter into midfield.
Meanwhile, Mane could be reintroduced to his left-side role to reform the 'Fab Four' on a night Liverpool look for the goals and victory to open a four-point gap on the Gunners.
The Reds got back on track perfectly at Dean Court, but Klopp's side must step up another level to earn what would be a huge three points at the Emirates and make for a delightful Christmas gift.

Thursday's LFC Transfer Roundup - Can's replacement, Van Dijk talk and plenty more - Duration: 8:59.
Thursday's LFC Transfer Roundup - Can's replacement, Van Dijk talk and plenty more
We round up the latest Liverpool FC transfer news and rumours, including a possible move for a young centre-back and a return for a summer target.
The Reds are set to play their last game before Christmas on Friday night, with another two outings to come between that clash with Arsenal and the new year.
January 1, of course, will bring the opening of the winter transfer window, allowing Liverpool to conduct further business to bolster Jurgen Klopp's ranks.
With his side set to challenge for a top-four finish in the Premier League, and with a Champions League last-16 tie against Porto and an FA Cup third-round clash with Everton to come, the stakes are high.
And according to the latest from the rumour mill, Klopp has set his sights on a new defender….
City in for Van Dijk and Klopp against old club for another centre-back.
After the embarrassing climbdown in their pursuit of Southampton centre-back Virgil van Dijk in the summer, Liverpool have been left short at the back this season.
With Joe Gomez occupying a regular role at right-back, Klopp has been left to call upon Joel Matip, Dejan Lovren and Ragnar Klavan as his senior options.
Van Dijk remains on the Reds' radar, but the Guardian claim that he is now Pep Guardiola's No.
1 priority in bolstering the Man City back line, presenting major competition.
On Van Dijk, "Sky Sources" claim City could move for the Dutchman in January, while the Guardian say they'll wait until the summer.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are linked with another centre-back, with the Independent's Simon Hughes reporting interest in Basel youngster Manuel Akanji.
Borussia Dortmund will be vying for his signature, though it's said that Liverpool's willingness to wait until next summer could give them the upper hand as they bid for the 22-year-old.
Why we're prepared to wait until the summer seems a bit baffling when a January addition would be very much welcome.
Liverpool to Revive Lemar Pursuit in January.
Monaco attacker Thomas Lemar emerged as a surprise high-profile target at the end of the summer transfer window, but the France international ultimately remained in Ligue 1.
The Reds made a bid in the region of £70 million in August, with Arsenal also in talks with Monaco over a possible deal.
And ahead of January, Liverpool are said to be preparing a new offer for the 22-year-old, who has made 17 appearances for the Leonardo Jardim's side this season.
According to the Independent, they could be required to pay £90 million to sign Lemar, with both Arsenal and Chelsea also vying for his signature.
Interestingly, they suggest that any move for Lemar would not be tied to the future of Philippe Coutinho, with Liverpool set to hold up their 'not for sale' stance over the Brazilian.
Liverpool to Sanction Woodburn Loan Move.
Reports in the Mail on Tuesday claimed that Liverpool had made Ben Woodburnavailable for loan ahead of the January window.
And though this served as a shaky initial source, this has now been corroborated by the Liverpool Echo, as "the club are ready to entertain the idea.
However, any temporary deal for the 18-year-old will be contingent on the guarantee of regular first-team football, given the disappointing spells of other Reds youngsters of late.
It is said that Woodburn would "most likely [move] to a Championship club," with Sunderland and Leeds United previously linked with the prodigious midfielder.
The hope will be that he can enjoy similar success to Sheyi Ojo, who is playing week in, week out for Fulham in the English second tier this season.
Ings Loan to Affect Sturridge Exit Hopes.
Another player expected to leave on a temporary basis in January is Danny Ings, with the 25-year-old is desperate need of regular football after a nightmare spell on the sidelines.
Ings hasn't started a Premier League game since before Klopp took charge at Anfield, and has made just 14 appearances for the Liverpool in three seasons, totalling 614 minutes on the pitch.
And according to the Mail, Klopp is willing to allow the struggling striker to leave on loan as he bids to return to full fitness.
This, however, will impact on Daniel Sturridge's hopes of moving on in January, with the England international set to stay on Merseyside—unless Liverpool receive a £30 million offer.
The Evening Chronicle claim that Rafa Benitez would be interested in signing any of Ings, Sturridge and Andrew Robertson on loan for Newcastle United, but only the former would be likely.
Liverpool Eyeing Marvelous Can Replacement?.
With Emre Can increasingly likely to leave Liverpool on a free transfer next summer, it is likely that Klopp is eyeing potential replacements for the No.
23.
Can is the subject of interest from the likes of Juventus and Borussia Dortmund, highlighting his potential as a young midfielder, and the impact his departure will have on the Reds.
According to African Football, touching on previous reports from Belgian publication Het Nieuwsblad, Liverpool may have already identified his successor.
This comes in the form of Club Brugge's excellently named Marvelous Nakamba, who only joined the First Division A side last summer but is open to a move to the Premier League.
"Yes, some people told me that I have a game cut out for England because of my qualities.
[A move is] possible," he said this week.
Lennon Completes Switch From Liverpool.
And finally, Liverpool academy forward Brooks Lennon completed his long-awaited permanent move to MLS side Real Salt Lake on Wednesday night.
The 20-year-old leaves after two-and-a-half years on the books on Merseyside, having struggled to break into Klopp's plans before joining RSL on loan in February.
Though his contract with the Reds was set to expire in June, Liverpool agreed to waive any fee.

should just share with you guys it's a bit of a Christmas treat so if at all
during these videos you want to check out patreon or afterwards or right now

putting it up in the youtube card there'll be a link that'll take you
straight there and you can check out that other than that I hope you are
having a great week and I hope that you like these videos and I will catch you
at the end how's it going patrons so just here this is the bed where I
planted the brassicas there over on the stage you see the kale and some
broccolis and stuff I just planted two Tomatoes a couple of days ago
one is a yellow low acid yellow Brody and then the other is an heirloom the
Black Russian which I've grown once before but I didn't really it was back
here in that bed and I didn't really get to look after them much so I don't think
I did too well but I am NOT talking about Tomatoes I'm talking about this
mulch stuff here that I've got on the beds it's been funny because I noticed
on the soil straight back some here let me see here it is really dense and very
sandy it's definitely a clay sand or sand with a bit of clay but it just
doesn't drain that well and that's to do with this bed this bed and also before I
put on some of the mulch that bed all of these were had the same soil yet this
bed is actually quite good its depth obviously not as dry cuz of the plants
but it's also when you're into a moist spot it's just nice and loose and free
draining and so to try and overcome this and especially
with this bed I obviously need to add organic matter and so what my family did
was way with our sheep they had this weather shaketh is there this massive
stockpile of hay that they put down around where they the sheep be troughs
for the pellets that we feed them just for a bit of supplementary feeding they
put hail around that and so obviously as the Sheep way around the eating they
were doing their business pulling all over the place and so they were able to
click that up and just let it sit down and rot and it is fantastic try and show
you what I mean you see look at that big worm and there's so many worms in it
that is not even close to what I had seen and look you can see all those eggs
those little yellow dots they're all worm Karm worm cocoons and the place is
oh my gosh you look at that look at that
that is so good they are just full of worms and so like I've just put this
over the beds and what this is going to do is just let this break down it's
going to break down so much and the worms that are filled in here it is
literally its own worm farm look at that look at that and the worms are going to
be in there are going to go throughout the soil and really help to just really
improve the soil structure of this soil so I'm so excited about this I just had
to show you guys that but purely because the amount of worms so my family they're
going to keep on doing this for me and so then basically when I come back or
when it's broken down for a couple months
would you pretty much be by the time I get back next we'll be out of chuckling
on some more beds so this filled up this bed and pretty much half of that bed so
next it will probably be that one at the end but yeah I just had to share you
guys show that um and share that with you guys so I'm really excited about
trying to improve the soil around here so thanks for watching and thank you
guys for all your support you have given me you guys are amazing I hope you're
all having a cracker of a week and I will
next time Cheers all have a talk one
how's the gum patrons sorry I haven't mean person he's a
little bit's for you but just came down here to the blueberries and wanted to
show you this so a couple of days ago yes they actually come in here and saw
all this this sort of tip death it's mainly at the tips of the leaves they're
going black which off the top of my head I think it is boron deficiency and it's
probably a few other things as well there's probably some other things they
can as you can see that iron deficiency is still not great the self will still
slow be sort of getting worked by the Moke microbes and the pH will be slowly
decreasing however I will probably just make up a bit of an iron spray just to
give it a bit of a follow spray across just to help them get some extra iron
that they need and also I did buy today some the trace elements just because I
actually I realized that I didn't put any in there so just to try and fix a
few of these different deficiencies especially in this yeah this bigger the
blueberry bursts especially in this one it doesn't really seem to be doing too
well and I think that's also because not only the iron but just some nutritional
deficiencies from some minor elements so got some trace elements which I'll be
just a flying today and then hopefully they will come along
quite nicely as for the tomatoes they have pretty much filled up the top of
these steaks which is awesome so the fruit is coming on quite nicely they're
starting to get bigger I'm noticing I'm having to water this definitely every
day on I would this this morning and that is dry under there and you can
actually have a quick look then of you then see there you go you can see some
there there's some of the roots as they're growing up so yeah they're
sucking up a lot of water now so I also bought some himself out of potash just
because some of these flowers here as you could to see they are coming off
incredibly easily and I think that's just because it doesn't have enough
potassium in the soil so I'll be fixing that in the next couple of days as well
and hopefully we get some more flowers set and which means more of this lovely
Morgan slip two tomato fruit so no no leave it at that banana keep you guys
posted on this so yeah I hope you're all having a crack over day and I will catch
the next video cheers all so there you go guys I hope
you enjoyed those few little clips on patreon and if you did like that then
and you want to check out more patreon again there will be the link in the
description that you can check out also soon around here there'll be a little
tile that you can click or tap on and it will take you straight to my patreon
page and you can have a bit of a source out there and if you like that video
make sure you give it a big thumbs up if you have any comments suggestions or
questions for me or if you just want to say g'day put them down in the comments
box below and I'll get back to you as soon as I can and make sure that you
click that subscribe button down the bottom otherwise there will be my face
popping up around here that you can click or tap on as well just to stay
notified and update it and whenever I post a new video here on YouTube you can
come along and check out what I'm doing so I hope you guys like that I hope
you're all having a cracker of a week and I will catch you all next time

Family will get $846K inheritance lost by UPS - Duration: 2:57.
Family will get $846K inheritance lost by UPS
A Canadian family whose $846,000 inheritance was lost by UPS will finally get the cash back from their bank, 10 months after their ordeal started, the CBC reported.
"It's clear to us we didn't get this right along the way and that there was more we could have done to come to a resolution faster," said TD Canada Trust bank spokeswoman Cheryl Ficker.
The bank had originally refused to repay the family, and United Parcel Service had offered a meager $32 shipping fee refund and an apology.
But the bank had a change of heart, hours after reports of Lorette Taylor and her brother Louis Paul Herbert's troubles were published last week.
"It was a total surprise," Taylor said. "Never in my wildest imagination did I think something like this would happen.".
After their father died in February, Taylor was tasked with finalizing the details of his will and distributing the inheritances to her sister and brother.
Taylor had obtained the bank draft — which is like a certified check, but the money is taken from a customer's account immediately and held by the bank until the draft is cashed — after TD told her it was the safest way to send the large sum.
Herbert, 61, said he went to his local UPS store near Cornwall, Ontario, where he was expecting the bank draft — but it never came.
With mounting credit card debts and no source of income, Herbert said, he desperately needed the money to survive. What followed was a 10-month battle among the family, the bank and UPS that caused "unbelievable frustration," Taylor said.
TD had refused to refund the money unless Taylor signed an agreement to pay back the bank if someone cashed the lost draft, which does not expire like regular checks.
By last Thursday afternoon, TD and the family reached an agreement — in the form of an indemnity contract that expires in February 2019. "It looks like the matter will be settled," Taylor said.

UN to vote on new North Korea resolution further restricting oil supply - Duration: 2:11.
The U.S. has introduced a new draft resolution at the UN Security Council… proposing further
sanctions on North Korea.
The vote on the proposal will take place later on Friday,… and China and Russia are not
expected to use their vetoes.
Kwon Jang-ho has this report.
The UN Security Council will vote Friday, local time on a new U.S.-led draft resolution
on North Korea, that has been introduced in reaction to the regime's latest ballistic
missile test in late November.
According to Reuters and AFP, the new resolution will look to ban nearly 90 percent of refined
petroleum product exports to North Korea by capping them at 500-thousand barrels a year...
building on the previous resolution in September that set a limit of 2 million barrels.
Crude oil exports to the regime have also been capped at four million barrels a year.
And all North Korean nationals working overseas would also have to be repatriated within twelve
months.
The list of banned North Korean exports would also be extended to include food products,
machinery, and electrical equipment, as well as certain stones and minerals.
19 individuals and firms would be added to a growing international blacklist as well,
freezing their financial assets and imposing a travel ban.
North Korea's closest ally, China, is not expected to use its veto, after the U.S. negotiated
the draft with Beijing over the past week.
Although it does not include a complete ban on oil, as suggested by President Trump to
President Xi Jinping last month, China's go-ahead would still be seen as a significant measure.
More-so as China has not yet approved a different proposal by the U.S.
Washington had asked the council to blacklist 10 ships, including two Hong Kong-flagged
vessels and a Chinese tugboat, which are said to be carrying banned oil and coal products
to and from North Korea.
China and Russia have requested more time to examine that proposal, and the decision
for approval to blacklist the ships will now take place on December 28th.

128 countries at UN condemn Trump's Jerusalem decision - Duration: 2:10.
The UN General Assembly has overwhelmingly backed a resolution calling for U.S. President
Donald Trump's recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital to be withdrawn.
Thursday's vote came despite warnings from the U.S. to pull funding from the world body.
Ro Aram reports.
Widespread defiance of President Trump's declaration on Jerusalem was already apparent at Monday's
UN Security Council meeting when all other nations apart from the U.S. backed a resolution
calling on Trump to rescind his move.
That was eventually vetoed by America and therefore didn't get adopted.
That sparked the Palestinians and their Arab and Islamic supporters to seek Thursday's
General Assembly vote.
Results were 128 in favor, nine against and 35 abstentions.
The vote came despite warnings from the U.S. ambassador that Washington was willing to
sever its hefty funding to the world body.
(English) AP - 7002294 / 1 "When we make generous contributions to the
UN, we also have a legitimate expectation that our good will is recognized and respected.
When a nation is singled out for attack in this organization, that nation is disrespected.
What's more, that nation is asked to pay for the "privilege" of being disrespected.
Haley said the U.S. will put its embassy in Jerusalem regardless of the vote.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also said afterward that he totally rejects
what he called the "preposterous" resolution.
But, he took the time to thank nations that chose to abstain.
Those who voted in favor included many U.S. aid recipients including Jordan and Egypt,
as well as many American allies.
President Trump's threat of cutting foreign aid had raised the stakes at Thursday's emergency
meeting and triggered accusations from Muslims of U.S. bullying, blackmail and intimidation.
Arab, Islamic and non-aligned nations rejected his warnings and urged a "yes" vote.
The non-binding resolution states that any decisions regarding the status of Jerusalem
are "null and void" and must be cancelled.

soaring - leading to speculation that China may have suspended gas supplies in response
to Pyongyang's continued missile tests.
But that has proven NOT to be true - according to satellite analysis by 'Beyond Parallel,'
a website on North Korean affairs operated by Washington think tank the Center for Strategic
and International Studies.
After analyzing photos between April and November this year - CSIS noted that no lines of vehicles
were observed queuing for fuel.
The report added traffic patterns around fuel stations were essentially unchanged - and
that the facilities appear to be in good state.
CSIS said it cannot determine whether there were long lines at a certain period - but
even that was the case, it was not a long-term issue.

South Korean President Moon Jae-in calls for social consensus among labor, management - Duration: 2:38.
President Moon Jae-in has called for a grand compromise between the labor, management,
and the government,... considered a necessary step in achieving his administration's policy
goal of income-led, people-centered economic growth.
Our chief Cheongwadae correspondent Moon Connyoung reports.
"Together, we go further."
A ceremony at the Blue House celebrating the inauguration of a foundation dubbed "Public
Co-prosperity and Solidarity Fund... with roughly a hundred and twenty union leaders
and representatives of organizations that have set stellar examples in labor-management
relations.
This non-profit foundation was created based on a social solidarity fund raised by the
voluntary return of incentives from workers in the public and financial industries following
the abolition of the previous administration's performance-based wage system.
That amount has totaled 147 million U.S. dollars which the foundation plans to spend on improving
labor conditions for non regular workers and creating more jobs.
(Korean) "This administration has placed the utmost
priority on the policy agenda of creating good jobs; increasing the number of jobs,
reducing irregular jobs and enhancing the quality of employment.
, , , ' ' .
South Korean President Moon Jae-in welcomed the move noting sound industrial relations
and effective social dialogue are key to achieving his administration's goal of people-centered
economy... one that is free of extreme economic inequality and social polarization.
(Korean) "To do so, we need a grand social compromise
whereby each of us make little concessions, share our burdens and narrow the gaps.
, , . A sustainable social development will not
be possible without a grand consensus among the tripartite members; the labor, management,
and the government."
.
The South Korean president added... in order to achieve many of his administration's policy
goals in realizing inclusive growth... where the benefits from growth are evenly distributed
to the people... this compromise is absolutely critical and the single most important factor
is having faith in the government.
(STAND-UP) "Give it a year... he said.
Just one full year of support from both the labor and the management... and we'll prove
to you that our policies actually work; we'll make sure that all actors in this relationship...
the society as a whole reap the benefits of this government's economic and labor policies.
That's the message from this president who kicks off the first full year of his administration
in a little over a week.
Moon Connyoung, Arirang News, the Blue House."

Apple faces backlash over slowing down older iPhones - Duration: 0:42.
If you own an iPhone then some bad news I'm afraid.
After years of head scratching and speculation as to why older models were becoming slower,
Apple has finally admitted to being the culprit.
This has not gone down well with users, with some accusing the tech giant of deliberately
slowing down older devices to push them to buy newer models.
Others have complained about the firm's lack of transparency.
But, Apple insists it's a necessary "feature" to prolong the life of aging batteries and
prevent random shut downs.
However, some users are still unconvinced and have suggested they may switch to Apple's
arch rival Samsung.

SNS marketing on the rise in South Korea - Duration: 4:22.
Social media has exploded in popularity in recent years,... and now its fast becoming
the way to shop.
SNS marketing is Korea's fastest growing shopping platform, targeting customers with a personalized
approach, and creating a buzz through special offers and events.
Won Jung-hwan reports.
Social Network Services have become the fastest growing shopping platform, outperforming other
platforms like TV home shopping or internet shopping malls, and creating a buzz in South
Korea.
SNS is being used by firms, not just to share information about their products, but to also
sell their products directly, and promote them with special offers and events, like
one held last week through SNS involving over a thousand companies.
(KOREAN)
"The first edition of 12-12 day event was held to build consumer interest within the
SNS market and provide users with an opportunity to purchase quality products at a highly discounted
price."
SNS marketing uses social media platforms to connect consumers with products through
virtual communities, and allow firms to interact with customers and provide products tailored
to their needs.
The CEO of 'MONICA-ROOM', one of the first companies to use SNS marketing in Korea, says
that its big advantage over conventional marketing is the ability to adapt to customers' personalized
needs.
(KOREAN)
"We visit our customers' SNS pages, and we communicate with them as they receive our
news feeds.
If you compare SNS with general online shopping malls, SNS platforms can communicate one-on-one
with people, and this can lead to customized sales marketing to each individual"
Traditional online shopping platforms are often limited to 'telling' people what to
buy, with few mechanisms to obtain customer feedback.
But the open nature of SNS allows participants to share their views and feedback on brands,
products, and services.
(KOREAN)
"On traditional platforms, marketing is often viewed as brand-storytelling.
But now if you look at SNS marketing, it is more like 'brand-storydoing', meaning that
customers and viewers are actively taking part in selling a brand's products."
As customers can ask questions and voice their concerns directly to companies through social
media, they can make more informed purchasing decisions, leading to fewer returned products
or requests for refunds.
(KOREAN)
"As we continue posting reliable information, those who like our information visit our products'
websites.
And a relationship of trust between the buyer and seller forms within the online platform."
But there are also costs to marketing through SNS.
Since SNS is mostly about one-on-one communication, companies need to hire personnel to handle
social media interactions.
And the viral way information spreads through SNS doesn't always work in a company's favor...
(KOREAN)
"Since SNS marketing often engages through live platforms, any negative reviews or comments
regarding a company can suddenly spread to all those people who follow the company."
But at the same time, the 'live' nature of SNS can help create a positive buzz around
a product and drive social shopping among SNS users.
As followers of a product repost comments made by others, a small piece of marketing
can reach a large audience.
But companies can't sit back and be passive when it comes to social media.
(STANDUP)
"Nearly 2.5 billion people around the globe use some sort of social media.
But a large audience on social media does not always translate into strong sales figures.
The real key to success is increasing audience activity and engagement with the product"
SNS marketing is trying to break out from the sectors where it was first introduced,
like fashion and cosmetics.
Now it's possible to buy such varied items as agricultural products through social media
platforms.
By reducing distribution costs and allowing people to purchase fresh products, straight
from the source, SNS marketing is bringing convenience and efficiency to both companies
and consumers in South Korea.
