Rice Creative And HTAP Architects On Functional Design In Vietnam - Duration: 3:48.
This is Archie Pizzini, my partner of HTAP.
This is Hoanh Tran. He's the other partner.
When I think about Rice always is their designs have a very high impact.
And when you look at Rice designs the first word people say is "wow".
One of the interesting things that we do with our designs is to take what might
be a disadvantage and try to flip it over and use it as the driver for the
design so in this case furniture and what that does is it makes it possible
for our builder to build these things off-site and they can control the speed
they can control the working conditions much better at their factory because
it's furniture it can be adjusted and the design isn't quite right, things can move
and shift a little bit other things can be added and modified a little bit
taking this thing that would have been a disadvantage, this very, very short time frame
turning it around letting it drive the design process and now you have
something that fits the design process that fits the actual situation. It's like
an assembly of units.
The meeting room has its own furniture so the meeting room has a table that we
designed specifically for meeting. For example the lightbox tabletop
that you can actually draw upon with your markers and people use it like that
just like the way we design which is great. The partners', the designers'
station where they can talk to each other. Privacy can be
controlled by each person and then the partners' area is completely open.
Two or three partners can sit and design together so they are like Archie said the whole
thing is an assembly of different pieces but they have to be composed well.
Well this this space was meant by Rice to be very flexible as well so a lot of
these things a lot of these pieces in here can do double duty as something
else so this idea of this layout table and the file drawers behind you is also meant
to be sort of a meeting table for gathering is also for the events it
could be some sort of a buffet or something like that so a lot of these
pieces in here were meant to be flexible enough that they can do something else
and this space is built loosely enough that it can accommodate different
configurations of work, different configurations of events, and different
gatherings of people, some of who may not be part of Rice.

A butcher
well we fell into it when we were children
by my grandfather and my dad so automatically
we didn't ask ourself any questions
we started we started the job
at 7, we were already helping at the market
As we were too young to serve, to cut or all that, my father
he used to put us in front of the stall on a box
and we made people try our "saucisson"
that kept us busy! How do you want to do something else than butcher!
Here, I'm making paupiettes
turkey paupiettes
We add bacon, it gives more flavour.
[Music]
Meat-wise, we make a good rib-steak
On the barbecue, it's a killer!
Five minutes on each side, a little salt, a little pepper
some shallots and it's done!
That's it!
and then I transmitted my passion to my boys
Ah, well
so my son This is my son Antoine who has been working with me for 16 years now
my right-hand
100% natural, salt, pepper
We make them every day, people can eat the skin
it's a natural product
[Music]
Here is Simon, my youngest
it's been a year, more than a year that he works here
At first I was going to be a caregiver to take care of old people
Now I'm delivering their lunch!
I make their meals and I like it
I am a caregiver and a butcher at the same time
So it's really the 4 of us
the four of the family
Yes, my wife also works with me.
Corinne is here
She takes care of the deli section.
"Have a good day, goodbye"
The grandson he's with us every day
so in my opinion he will do
he will be butcher
It's quite likely!

Gelombang² (2018) | Short Documentary - Duration: 7:11.
There are Islamic groups that are from beyond our borders.
They are not originally from Indonesia but from the Middle East.
This may be a side effect of globalization...
..in which radical groups spread their Islamic teachings around the whole world.
The influence is coming to Indonesia, actually, from Saudi Arabia, because...
..Saudi Arabia gives scholarships to some (Indonesian) students.
And some students return to Indonesia and build Islamic institutions.
And they spread this ideology of Wahhabism.
They don't agree when Muslims go to the graveyard and pray there.
They don't agree with the tradition of after death.
I mean the three days prayer, et cetera.
Wahhabism is branch of Islam that originated from Saudi Arabia in the eighteenth century.
And those Wahhabis were Salafis before the word was coined, you could say.
Moreover, Salafis often do not call themselves Salafis...
..because they say that they are the one and only Islam.
The word Salaf points to the generation after the prophet.
Like, these generation would have been the best Muslims, according to the prophet as well.
And we should follow them.
When we see the rally against Ahok...
..the Chinese, Christian governor of Jakarta..
..we can see some of them there. Yes.
And then they also established media.
Radio, community television, and then they are getting stronger.
So this is the challenge for mainstream organisations like Nahdlatul Ulama and Muhammadiyah.
If they cannot protect their members.
If they cannot promote social justice.
If they cannot provide security for their members...
..then the future will see more people going to the radical side instead of the moderate side.
So this is the real challenge in Indonesia.
So, actually, why we in Nahdlatul Ulama launch this concept Islam Nusantara...
..is actually to defend against this force from Saudi Arabia.
Indonesia is in between all sorts of international Islamic branches.
We have ISIS that follows a very rigid form of religion.
I think that Islam in Indonesia can be an example...
..of a peaceful Islam that can be spread around the world.
Bhinneka Tunggal Ika.
This means unity in diversity.
This includes culture, religion, ethnicity. All different groups in Indonesia.
All should exist. No one should dominate.
This is a common platform that is translated into the Indonesian laws.
ISIS, or whomever it may concern, has soiled the name of Islam.
Because they are in opposition with the values and teachings of Islam.
Islam preaches peace.
Islam means peace.
Non-belligerence and salvation.
Those people that use violence are not making Islam great but they destroy Islam.
Islam indeed originated from the Middle East.
But the world has been developed further.
An Islam that is characterized by peace and our country consisting of many islands...
..really fits the life in a modern and boundless world.
Islam Nusantara is an Islam that is connected to the local culture.
Culture and Islam do not bite each other.
And Islam will never oppose culture.
And the most important is that where Islam is present...
..peace and humanism must go well together.
If you see that the Salafis and Wahhabis in the whole world are very active in the dakwah, the mission...
..on the internet, on the streets, in mosques.
A lot of money is concerned.
Then you would think that such a movement, let's call it the 'cultural Islam'...
..should not be silent.
Do not get overshadowed.
Because the ideological opponent is very active and also very rich.
So do not take a modest stance.

Tour Auto Optic 2000 - Gaspard Ulliel - Interview - Duration: 5:09.
What triggered your passion for the motor car?
I don't really know if passion is the right word as I'm just a novice.
I've always loved beautiful cars, above all historic ones.
And I'm still fairly young so I haven't been interested in them for that many years.
I don't really know when it all began.
I've got memories from my adolescence in which I dreamed of getting my hands on certain cars one day.
I remember surfing the net to have a look at second-hand vehicles.
I didn't even have a driving licence at the time
but I dreamed of driving a Dino, a Ferrari Dino.
At the time it was probably ten or twenty times cheaper than it is now.
So it's something that's linked to historic cars; even so that doesn't prevent me from keeping an eye on contemporary machines.
It's more about the object itself,
about an old engine,
about sensations that are very different to those you feel in a modern car.
Today, when you're driving a big Porsche,
you'll experience far fewer sensations than at the wheel of a car like this one.
Do you collect historic cars?
No, not really. I bought a Porsche 911 2.2 S which, unfortunately, was stolen.
I followed the whole restoration process for a year.
I couldn't wait to get my hands on it, and very soon afterwards I lost it.
But this won't prevent me from trying to buy a historic car in the future.
For the moment I haven't got one.
I've only got modern cars
and as a result it's Jean-Pierre Lajournade (three-time Tour Auto Optic 2ooo winner) who gave me the car.
I met him through a friend who will be my co-driver during the Tour Auto.
In fact, for several years now I've gone to see him at the start of the race.
I come to the Grand Palais and every time he says to me: 'you really have to do it one year, you must.'
So one day I said to him, 'yes, but I've no longer got my Porsche,'
and that's when he said to me, 'wait, maybe I've got a car for you,'
and that's how it all began.
Why are you taking part in the Tour Auto Optic 2000?
What attracts me?
Well, the fact that it's a historic race with pretty strict criteria;
then the route itself
and also because it's an iconic event.
But I've got no idea how it's going to pan out; it's a first for me.
There's also a touch of apprehension;
that adrenaline which,
in my opinion,
is a strong driving force behind the decision to enter.
Have you already tested the Triumph TR6 that you'll be driving in the Tour Auto?
No, not at all, as Jean-Pierre has just lent it to me.
Anyway, we'll have a bit of time to take it for a spin.
Then I'm going to try and get used to it, get to grips with it.
Can you tell us about your co-driver, Alain Martin?
He's a guy I met about ten years ago.
Maybe it's linked to the motor car
as I got to know him when I was doing my motorbike licence
because he's the manager of a driving school where I did a week-long intensive course.
After that we kept in touch
and little by little we became friends
and today he's a real mate
who introduced me to Jean-Pierre about four or five years ago.
Isn't it difficult for you to have a week off to take part in the Tour Auto?
Yes, but it comes at just the right time.
It's true that I'm filming at the moment,
but I'm going to finish at the beginning of April or in mid-April so it should be okay.
In addition, as I'm right in the middle of filming I'm going to do some pretty quick promotions.
Today, we manage to fit the promotions into three or four days:
That's what I'm going to do next week for Benoît Jacquot's film that's coming out at the end of March
so the timing's pretty good.

How to Write the Perfect Professional Email in English - Duration: 3:42.
8 Tips for Writing Emails in English
Writing an email in English isn't as simple as translating word-for-word from your native language.
There are many English expressions you should know how to use in your professional emails.
To avoid awkward sentences and literal translations,
here are some tips on good email style and content.
1. Remember the KISS rule
That means: Keep It Short and Simple.
Basically, try to avoid long and complex sentences.
Aim for an email that is short, clear, and concise.
2. Stylistic tips
No surprises here! Like in other languages, there are 4 things to consider:
1. the "sender" (from)
2. the "recipient" (to)
3. the subject, and 4. the body.
We suggest writing the main body first, then picking out key words for your subject line.
Your subject should not be longer than 8 words. Remember, KISS.
3. Content tips
- 4. Who are you writing to?
Always start by addressing a specific person if possible,
using their first name, last name, or title.
If you know the person well, write "Hi Mark" or "Dear Mark."
If you have never met, it's best to use "Mr. / Ms. Smith" or "Dear Mr. / Ms. Smith."
If you do not know the person's name, you can use "Sir" (man) or "Madam" (woman).
- 5. How to begin an English email
If you have never spoken before: don't bother with a long introduction.
Keep it short and tell the person how you got their contact information: "Your name was given to me by..."
To respond to someone, acknowledge their previous email: "Thank you for your email from... (date)"
To refer to a previous email or phone conversation: "In reference to your email..."
If you are writing to provide information, make your intentions clear: "I am writing to inform you that..."
To ask for information, start with: "I wish to have further information about..."
- 6. The body
Don't translate word-for-word!
Use set phrases and common questions...
you can learn lots of these with our Learn English app!
And don't forget: keep your sentences short.
Good practice: one idea per sentence.
- 7. Sign off
If you are expecting a response, you can write: "I look forward to hearing from you."
To show that you care: "Don't hesitate to contact me with any questions"
or "If you need / would like more information, feel free to contact me."
Finally, end your email. Some examples: "Yours sincerely," "Kind regards," or "Best wishes."
8. Don't forget about attachments!
It's something everyone does every now and then.
Announce any attachments using one of these set phrases:
"Please find enclosed / attached..." or "Attached, you will find..."

NINETY ONE 《 MOOZ 》 REACTION [ ENG SUB ] - Duration: 8:03.
Hello to all of you friends Ali
welcome to the channel
I'm shooting the reaction videos for the first time
I usually have a video response about K-POP and Q-POP and dimash
The comments were always about ninety one group
After he pulled the reaction
I noticed how beautiful Q-POP is
and I started to listen. I'm doing it with ninety one first
If so, you can specify your other suggestions in comments
Your suggestions to us will make us faster
Today I am again with a song of ninety one
I reacted to the songs of MOOZ
I am excited because ninety one group is a group that I am surprised
I listen to this group all the time
I keep listening Ah yah mah and babau
Very different and very interesting qualities
Soon I like
the sound is really beautiful
This song is a little more normal
this guy is legend
This is my favorite part. a very interesting rap style
The song is very beautiful
Did you see 6 people?
I really like the song
but the clip came to me like the other clips gore more normal
The others were very original and very different contents
this was a normal song like today's pop songs
The same thing was not very perfect in the clip but it was very nice
The first two were more normal than the video I watched
this music that is everywhere is very similar
the clip may be intended to be simple and meaningful
which seemed to be a really stagnant and message-based clip
As a result, I like it because I like a group
If you subscribe to the channel and like the videos you are very happy
Because you love me this work
