North Korea's hand in Assad's reign of terror Kim jong-un supplied chemical

What small change could you make to be more environmentally conscious?

Are there areas in your life where you could possibly make some improvements?

Many of us try our best to be environmentally friendly, with small acts like bringing

our own portable mugs to the coffee shop, using cloth shopping bags, or recycling,

but sometimes we can find ourselves struggling to maintain certain

eco-friendly acts. At times our ambition to be the change we want to see in the

world can somewhat exceed our ability to enact it. But that doesn't mean there

aren't still plenty of small, sustainable changes we can make within our lives

that can have a huge impact over all! I can empathize more than anyone with the

struggle that exists in trying to maintain certain pledges, in that I've

been doing this Act of Green playlist for four years now, but have only managed

to succeed at maintaining about half of my pledges thus far. But to that regard, I

experienced exceptional success with last year's pledge because I did my best

to ensure it was easily sustainable by keeping it as simple, and cheap as I

could! I made homemade cloth towels to replace my paper towel purchases

So in light of that success I've decided to continue trying my best to keep my

pledge simple, but increase my impact by pledging multiple small acts this year,

instead of just one. So first off, for Earth Day 2018, I pledge to begin

unplugging any electronics that I'm not directly using. A lot of appliances,

sometimes called "vampire appliances", often draw electricity even when not

being used. So by switching off power bars, or directly unplugging electronics,

I will be saving a great deal of utilities over the year!

The second pledge I'm making is to save up to buy a Kindle to reduce my 'book print', as I've

been trying to read more lately, and will be returning to school soon, but I don't

want my increased demand for literature to negatively affect my impact on the

planet! And finally, as a result of recently becoming a pet owner, I will be switching

to a canvas, or hemp leash, or harness when my puppy comes to need a new one,

and will also be looking into buying biodegradable baggies, such as those made

from corn or barley, in order to reduce the amount of plastic being put in our

wastes. There will be a link in the description with more information about

that for anyone interested; and there are still plenty of other cheap, or cost free

ways to be more environmentally conscious too, so if you'd like to learn

more about some of these great ideas, please do check out the description

Oneplus 5T vs Xiaomi Mi 6 Camera Comparison [Greek with Eng Subs] - Duration: 9:34.

Hello guys! I am Vagelis Minas and this is the camera comparison video between Xiaomi Mi6 and Oneplus 5T!

Lets start!

Lets test the autofocus of both devices

Both of the devices perform equal good

As far as image stabilization is concerned, oneplus 5t as we know has digital stabilization

while mi6 has four-axis optical stabilizer which I can see it from the monitors of the devices

It is also noted that mi6 has more intense colors

while oneplus are a bit closer to reality

The realilty is somewhere in the middle

Indeed, colors appear more natural in oneplus 5t.

At least on the devices screens.

I do not know what exactly you are watching. You are the ones that judge.

Let's try the image stabilization.

You got an idea guys.

As you can see the dynamic range at oneplus is much better.

The clouds look much cleaner.

While in mi6 not so.

That's all with the video.

Let's check some photos.

As you can see the colors in mi6 are more natural

However, the slightly saturated colors in the oneplus look more pleasing to the eye

In the 2X zoom, it seems that mi6 is superior as its telephoto lens captures more details.

For exactly the same reason the bokeh effect is more impressive on mi6.

What really bothered me is the front camera.

Since I was looking at the photos from the devices screens I was convinced of the excellence of oneplus

which was not verified on my pc monitor.

On the other hand in the slow motion video the excellence of oneplus is clear.

I think it's time to test our devices in low light conditions.

I think that matters most to you. Under good lighting conditions, all devices perform well.

The issue is what they do in low light conditions.

Right now I can not judge from the devices screens.

This is something you have to do.

Let's check auto focus in the dark.

I think all both devices are doing well in this area.

I have the feeling that the image is more yellowed in the oneplus relative to mi6.

As for the noise levels I can not be sure.

From the devices screens I have the impression that oneplus has more noise.

But I could be wrong.

Let's check the selfie camera.

As I can see

I think video on oneplus is superior

but I can not be too sure.

Again the pisture is more yellowed at oneplus relative to mi6.

But probably

mi6 has less noise now that I can see it better.

You will tell me in the video comments

as I can not judge from the monitors of the devices.

That's all for the selfie cameras. Let's go and see some samples of photos in low light conditions.

In low lighting conditions, what I noticed is that the colors in mi6 appear slightly rinsed but closer to reality

and on the other on oneplus more yellowish but with less noise and more impressive result, as far my own tastes.

In selfie the picture speaks on its own.

Summing up mi6 has the superiority of 2x zoom, bokeh effect, more natural colors,

while for low light video the superiority of mi6 is evident with lower noise levels, better clarity and more natural colors,

while the lack of optical image stabilizer in the oneplus 5t is clear, mainly in quick moves.

Pretty much the same is also true for the front camera

plus mi6 has a wider lens as a result it fits more people into a photo.

On the other hand, oneplus has better dynamic range, really good image stabilization in good lighting conditions

nicer colors in eyes, better slow motion video, and better low-light performance.

How to Make Star Lords Sony Walkman with Zonbi - Duration: 5:34.

Hey Cosplayers!

Welcome to the Cosplay Apprentice where I Empower you to Forge your Favorite Fandoms!

For the last 3 yrs I have been teaching Cosplay techniques online and at live events, helping

people make their dreams a reality with easy to follow tutorials, and simple diy templates.

I'm Skyler Ostler and in today's Apprenticeship I'll be showing YOU how to make Star Lord's

Sony Walkman.

So you want to know how to make Star Lord's Sony Walkman but you are unsure where to begin

or if you even have the skills to do it yourself.

Maybe you've thought about buying it, but everything you've found is either super

expensive, or doesn't have the "spot-on" look you are hoping for.

Well, if that's you then you've come to the right place, let's jump in and I'll

show you how using a pattern or template you can forge your fandom in 5 easy steps without

being a professional artist or breaking the bank.

Ready, Set...

F.O.R.G.E!

Step 1: Find Your Framework Begin by finding a great template from someone

that you trust and have seen the final product to make sure it produces the end result you

are going for!!

For this tutorial I will be using a template I created and have available on my website

that includes both a version that fits your phone inside and the slightly smaller screen

accurate scale template but there are lots of great template makers out there!

Templates are awesome because it saves you tons of time in trying to get all the proportions

and complicated artistic design elements all figured out but still gives you that sense

of accomplishment because you are the one who made it, and the end product is generally

guaranteed to look great!

Step 2: Organize Alright, so with your framework selected now

it's time to jump into the build and start organizing.

Generally templates like this one will print to scale on 8.5x11 pages making it super easy

print out at home.

For bigger items you may need to tape a couple pieces of the template pages together but

once you have that done you are ready to cut the pieces

This is where the real organizing begins!

Good templates should be clearly labeled with some sort of sequential system that tells

you the order of use.

With this one, the pieces are alphabetical so I am laying them all out in order of use

on the table.

Trace all the pieces onto your material, in this case I am using Sintra, and make sure

to transfer the same numbers, letters, and registration marks on the template pieces

over to your traced pieces as well.

After you have finished tracing you will cut out all the pieces and once again organize

them according to your template.

Step 3: Revisit Now that you are super organized now we need

to to review the template instructions and revisit any of the details to individual pieces

that may need to be made before assembly.

In this instance we need to make sure to drill any holes, cut any undercuts, and etch any

etched lines while it's flat and easy to do.

Then, on to the next step!

Step 4: Glue/Assemble Alrighty Peeps, it's time to get our glue

on!

Depending on what type of glue you are using make sure to wear the proper recommended safety

gear for the product.

Go through in the order the template has set up and assemble the pieces together, for this

one start with The Main Body Piece "A".

Glue the Ribbed piece "B" into place using super glue and create a couple screw heads

using some Polly Plastics.

While we are at it let's jump over to Right Side Piece "C", were going to create some

Legit sliding controls on this thang!

On each "D" piece, we are going to create and attach a slider button piece "E" with

Polly Plastics making sure they will be able to slide past one another.

Next, using a rotary tool or other device sand down ever so slightly a channel on the

back side of "C" that both "D" pieces can run along.

Then being very careful not to get any glue in the channel glue Piece "C" Into place on

the "F" piece with some of that good ole super glue!

You can add a nice little power center pin on piece "F" using Polly Plastics magic as

well as the buttons G, H, I, and J. I recommend either roughing up the area the buttons will

attach to or even better drilling a couple small holes in the area they will attach so

that the Polly Plastics has something to grip to and stay secure.

Finish off the right side piece by attaching the microphone grate, piece "K" into place

on the "F" piece using Super Glue.

Next head on over to your "L" piece and let's make sure we get the Top button piece "M"

secured in place.

Now that we have all of our sides built up lets attach them together.

On the "A" Piece heat up and bend along the dotted lines.

Heat and Bend dotted lines on piece "F" as well.

Next, the Tape Deck Door Piece "N" heat and bend along the undercuts on this piece as

well.

Lastly, do the same thing to the "P" piece.

Glue the top piece "L" to the top of the "A" piece and the bottom "O" piece to bottom of

the "A" piece.

The "P" piece will wrap around the whole Right side of the "A" piece and get glued on there.

Lastly, the "F" piece will glue in along the side of the "P" piece finishing off the main

body assembly.

The last thing you need to do is to attach, the "N" piece tape deck door using either

some small hinges from your local hardware store or by making some out of sintra yourself.

To strengthen up some of your glued connections you can reinforce them from the inside using

hot glue or Polly Plastics.

And sand down or trim off any odd edges and smooth things out

Only one step left!!!

Step 5: Embelish

Whoops, you won't be getting any embellishment details from me, if you want to know what

happens next and see the finished product you are going to have to ask my friend ZonZon

Zonbi over on her channel and she will walk you through how to finish this thing off with

all the details and a sweet paint job!

The sun is bearing down on you so strongly on a hot summer day that you just have to

quench your thirst.

You've been running around that oval track for so long you can't wait to reach out

for something to drink.

But let that drink be filtered water, and other healthier alternatives, not soda.

Scientists presenting a research paper at the American Heart Association's Epidemiology

and Prevention / Lifestyle and Cardiometabolic Health Scientific Sessions 2018, a top global

exchange of the latest advances in cardiovascular science, said people over 45 who drink a lot

of sugary beverages including sodas, fruit drinks and juices are more at risk of dying

from heart disease, than those who shun sugary drinks.

Study participants who took at least 24 ounces of sugary drinks per day (or around two cans

of soda), doubled their risk of dying from coronary heart disease compared to those who

took less than an ounce of sugary beverages.

Scientists also noted a higher risk of death from all causes.

Researchers based their methodology on data from the Reasons for Geographic and Racial

Differences in Stroke (REGARDS) study, a U.S.-based longitudinal research of 30,183 black and

white adults over 45.

The researchers came up with a sugary-food-and-beverage-consumption profile of 17,930 study participants using

a food frequency questionnaire.

Sugar-sweetened beverages included pre-sweetened ones like sodas and fruit drinks.

Sugar-sweetened foods included desserts, candy, and sweetened breakfast foods plus those with

calorie-containing sweeteners.

2018 Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster - Duration: 8:25.

Upon its introduction as a 2012 model, the 217-mph Lamborghini Aventador became the most

advanced flagship supercar the Italian maker has ever offered.

The wedgy exotic got even better after its 2017 update, at which time it was rechristened

Aventador S and bestowed with befanged front-end styling, modified air intakes, an active steering

rack, rear-wheel steering, and 39 more horsepower, bringing its naturally aspirated V-12's

output to 730 ponies.

As we experienced during our stint behind the wheel, driving the Aventador S coupe is

finally commensurate to the experience of looking at it, which is to say awe-inspiring.

HIGHS Unlimited headroom, same speed and dexterity

as the coupe, amplified soundtrack, all eyes on you!

LOWS Clunky automated-manual transmission, storage-hogging

roof panels, dated switchgear, all eyes on you.

More More Now, after experiencing the Aventador S "roadster"—its

two-piece removable roof makes it a targa despite Lambo's naming convention—there

are two ways this version provides a more complete supercar experience to justify its

$42,597 upcharge.

First is the heightened sensory experience delivered by the open-air model vis-à-vis

the more cossetting coupe, which is a pretty intense experience already.

Second, and perhaps more important to anyone buying an Aventador, is the roadster's ability

to make its highly exposed occupants part of the spectacle, thus delivering its driver

an unmitigated ego boost.

Whether that's a good thing very much depends on the driver, but chances are that if they're

in an Aventador, they're probably not afraid of a little attention.

For us, the ego boost occurred immediately upon walking up to an example coated in Arancio

Atlas Pearl Effect (Lambo-speak for $4900 retina-searing orange paint).

The onlookers assembled around the half-dozen Lamborghinis parked in the driveway of the

Viceroy Hotel in Santa Monica excitedly raised their phone cameras as we swung open the scissor

doors.

We couldn't break it to them how not rich and not famous we actually were or that the

cars weren't really ours; we just smiled and waved as we dropped ourselves inside—a

much easier process in the roofless model.

We revved the prewarmed V-12s to the onlookers' great delight, and with the cameras still

on us, our multicolored convoy departed the hotel.

As our procession noisily made its way in tight formation up toward Malibu along a moderately

congested Pacific Coast Highway, tourists in rented Mustangs and carpooling moms in

SUVs picked right up where the pedestrians at the Viceroy left off, all smiles and waves,

cameras in hand to add some literal and figurative color to their social-media posts for the

day.

More than a few lowered their windows to verbalize their appreciation.

Few cars invite as much engagement with fellow motorists as does a roofless Lamborghini.

It's Corner-Hunting Time There was less waving but a lot more smiling

once we turned off PCH and onto the legendary canyon roads snaking through the Santa Monica

Mountains.

There, we dipped deeper and deeper into the V-12's seemingly endless reserves of power.

Knowing that most of the V-12's 39 additional horses were hiding way up near the engine's

stratospheric 8500-rpm redline, we looked for every opportunity to put them to work.

Unleashing all 730 horsepower is intense enough in the S coupe, but with the windows lowered

and no roof in place, the aural experience becomes almost supernatural.

At full song, the V-12's inebriating symphony flows in from the sides, from above, and—when

the vestigial rear window is lowered—from behind.

And the Aventador is spectacularly quick, of course.

We expect the roadster will catapult from zero to 60 mph in three seconds flat when

we test it, placing it a trivial 0.1 second behind the coupe, which is 110 pounds lighter,

according to Lamborghini.

Both cars share the same 217-mph stated top speed.

Unsurprisingly, the big Lambo traverses the chutes between corners like a six-and-a-half-foot-wide

bolt of orange lightning, but the big roadster's ability to track through even the tightest

corners was a revelation.

We also reveled in the pan-flat cornering attitude and telepathic turn-in response,

the latter made quicker in Sport mode and quicker still in Corsa ("Race") mode,

with Corsa adding a sense of genuine eagerness without becoming twitchy or unpredictable.

And even in full attack mode, the roadster didn't betray its decrease in torsional

rigidity, even though it's said to be 37 percent lower than that of the coupe.

The new rear-wheel-steering system was largely sidelined for much of the squiggly stuff.

That's because it's operational only at parking-lot speeds, where the rear wheels

turn opposite to the front wheels to help maneuver in tight spaces, and above 65 to

80 mph (depending on conditions and driving mode), where the rear wheels turn in phase

with the front wheels to add stability and hone turn-in response in high-speed sweepers.

It was along one particularly scenic stretch of PCH that hugs the rocky coastal cliffs

just east of Point Mugu where the four-wheel steering was the most conspicuously effective,

working brilliantly to turn the Aventador into a scalpel that we used to slice through

a series of high-speed corners with utterly ludicrous speed.

With gorgeous scenery above, below, and all around us and the siren song of a V-12 wailing

away, few settings may be more flattering to a vehicle.

Yet neither perfect weather nor perfect scenery can mask various imperfections that, considering

the Aventador S roadster's $467,442 base price, we feel compelled to call out.

The car's single-clutch automated-manual transmission remains a brutal, graceless thing

that takes some time to come to terms with.

The Audi MMI–based infotainment system dates back to a version from at least a decade ago

and features a small, non-TFT screen and unceremonious switchgear.

The cabin suffers an utter dearth of stowage space—there's only the glovebox, a small

net between the two seatbacks, and a covered bin under the center armrest barely large

enough to hold a pack of gum.

And the front trunk—or "frunk"—holds either five cubic feet of stuff or the roof

panels, but not both.

To be fair, most of those criticisms apply to the hardtop as well, although the roadster

rectifies one of the coupe's chief shortcomings: headroom.

This car has plenty of that.

And for those with the means, the Aventador S roadster makes a strong case for its premium,

awakening the senses and engaging the world around you as only

a topless Lamborghini can.

This is my car.

- And this is my car.

- I think I could teach this guy a few things.

- Don't get me wrong.

I wanna beat everybody out there.

But there's one guy in particular.

- He's a great teammate, but an even better frenemy.

(engine revving)

(rock music)

(upbeat music)

- First round of the year, Long Beach.

This track is no joke.

It's treacherous, it's fast.

You have to be on the wall

to do remotely good at this track.

- This is my seventh year at Long Beach.

I know the track, the corners don't change.

The thing is, all of our cars are getting so much faster

and so much grippier, it feels like a new adventure

every time we come out here.

It's still a challenge.

I've done well here four years in a row,

so definitely a lot of pressure, but very excited.

(electric guitar music)

- Formula drift is not like NASCAR

where it's the first person to cross the finish line.

This is actually a judged sport.

It's based on three attributes, line, style, and angle.

Line is when they come around the corner,

they have what they call clipping points,

so they have to get the back of the car

as close as they can to the wall.

They come back around the opposite direction.

They have to get into another clipping point

and get as close to that location as well.

(engine revving)

Style is about what will get you the most points.

Some guys are really smooth and hold a really tight line.

Other guys will just hang it out,

scrape the back bumper on the wall.

Fiberglass is flying, bumpers are getting shredded.

Angle is you come around a corner,

and if you can carry a shallow angle,

and come close to the wall, but if you carry a big angle,

like 90 degrees to the wall, that gets you big style points.

(engine revving)

- Slippery out there, whew!

Honestly, it's kind of strange.

I was locked in on throttle approaching zone two,

had a little bit of angle, and it just, woo.

- We think the car leaned over and pinched the front tire.

Right now, we're cutting out and clearancing

some space so that the wheel can't touch the car,

and basically make the wheel come to a stop,

causing him to spin.

I think he was max angle, all the way, car leaning,

- Even if it wasn't in before,

if you got max angle now and hit a bump,

you'll just push up straight up into it.

- Right, right.

I think he just had the perfect run going,

and we haven't pushed the car that hard

- [Crew Member] That's what happens.

- Qualifying, mental-wise, is very stressful,

just because you have a very small amount of time

to perform your very best, and you get two shots.

(engine revving)

- I think I've just kinda overstepped

the boundaries of the car a little bit.

I just poured on the angle,

thinking I'm some kind of badass,

and then I just came around.

- Hey, Matt Field's new car looks awesome!

- This year we're starting with a brand-new chassis.

It's a 2013 Chevrolet Corvette.

Graham and the rest of the team

put that car together from scratch.

It was a slam jam, six month best of no sleep

and 24/7 building.

- We've had eight years in a S-chassis.

Now we're really excited to see what this Corvette can do.

You're taking something that has tons of development into

being a performance vehicle and making it better.

(engine revving)

- You know, Matt probably just got ahead of himself.

I know he's kinda eclipsed by George Stratton.

If Matt can at least keep the car together,

I guess he's doing okay, you know?

- Expensive chassis definitely are a newer thing

in drifting, so, when you see a car like a Ferrari,

it's awesome.

- When you see these different cars, they're flashy,

they run different, they sound different,

they smell different.

If you're here and you're babying it because of

what you got, then you probably shouldn't have shown up

to begin with.

- Going into the first qualifying run,

the car's feeling pretty good, but not perfect.

I'm having to drive the car a lot harder

than I should have to.

It's not driving itself, per se,

and I'm getting a little concerned.

I gotta get comfortable, and I gotta qualify high.

(engines revving) (tires squealing)

When I actually get going, it feels really good.

I'm picking up a lot of speed,

and the car just starts to float right towards the wall,

which is exactly what I want.

Unfortunately, the car's not slowing down.

It keeps floating, and the next thing I know,

I'm going right into the wall.

- [Announcer] Last year and oh my goodness!

Odi Bakchis's going into the wall!

- [Odi] My run's already wasted, now I'm just trying to

keep my car from completely getting thrashed.

- [Crew Member] Do we have any ratcheting wrenches?

Yeah, I just need a 17 shallow socket.

- That looks like us and Odi have goose eggs right now,

so we're kinda up against the wall.

We both gotta put in some points

on our second qualifying run, otherwise, you know,

that's the end for us.

(upbeat rock music) (engine revving)

- Going into the second run, I know I need to just

get it together, cause we're sitting on a zero.

Fortunately for me, I just kind of reverted

to what we were doing before,

and it's funny because I was like all right,

just be careful, make it around the track, do your thing,

and it ended up being one of my best runs all weekend.

We got a 91, and we qualified seventh.

- For the second run, there's the burn-out box

where we get to warm up our tires, got a 20 foot by

20 foot box to do these figure eight burnouts.

I am throwing the car as hard as I can back and forth,

trying to feel it out.

I jam down to the straightaway into the first turn,

and the car's actually on the right course.

I kinda tippy toe around the track,

and the run actually felt pretty good.

- [Announcer] Steers clear of it.

Massive angle from Odi Bakchis.

- We got a 88, which is a respectable score

when you're sitting on a zero.

Overall, I'm pretty happy about it.

(upbeat rock music)

- Whoo! - Yeah!

- My first full season was Odi's first full season.

He does pretty good, gets on the podium,

I get on the podium.

He got a tire deal, I got a tire deal.

He gets his first win, then I get my first win.

And then, it just so happens that the same year,

we both sign up with Falken for a teal and blue car.

He definitely had the worst first qualifying run.

I mean, I got a zero and looked like an idiot, but he--

- Mine was way more exciting, though.

- You crashed, though!

- That's what the fans like, sometimes.

- Having Odi next to me makes me a better driver.

I don't know a lot of drivers who

are open books with each other.

We have similar driving styles,

we have the similar way that we like our cars set up,

and we're on the same tire.

- I gave it 110!

- Right into the tire!

You probably were doing 110 when you hit the tire.

- Hey, go big or go home, right?

- Oh, yeah, I know.

- Just having that relationship off-track is great.

But when it's out on-track,

guns out, fists up, ready to throw down.

(upbeat electric guitar music)

- Sometimes qualifying for me isn't the easiest task,

but I feel very confident in tandem,

so I'm super ready for top 32,

and I'm paired up to go against Daniel Burkett.

Rad Dan is not a seasoned driver,

but he's coming up the ranks.

Whenever you get paired up with an unseasoned driver,

it's a wild card 'cause he might be all over the place.

You never know.

My first lap with Rad Dan, I got to lead.

I set my own pace, I just did what I had to do,

and it worked out flawlessly.

It was a good run.

The second one, I got to chase Rad Dan.

I kept a safe distance, which worked out to my favor,

because he ended up smacking the wall.

Luckily I got away clean, and advanced to top 16.

(engines revving)

(upbeat rock music)

- Jeff Jones is one of those drivers

that is just known to throw down,

rip his bumper off on the wall, keep on going,

drive on three wheels, doesn't matter.

He's kinda gotta solid nickname from us around here,

and that's Junkyard Jones, but you know what?

He showed up ready to party this event.

New car, new suit, looking good, driving good,

and he's on a real tire.

He's on a Falken.

The first run, we lead.

And honestly, he was close, but he did make a mistake.

He straightens out following us a little bit,

so we know we have to play it smart going into run two.

This being a new car, I'm not sure

how much gap is appropriate.

These are things I'm just not sure of

because we're in a new chassis.

He keeps it clean, he makes it through the pass,

and that might be due to the fact that he's got a new car

that he just spent way too much money on, and he's trying

to keep it together for the rest of the season.

Fortunately, I initiate right where I need to,

close the gap, do just enough pressure to win,

and we came out on top.

(rock music)

- I'm paired up with Justin Pollock for top 16.

He's a veteran driver.

He's been driving for Falken forever.

When I first started paying attention to drifting,

this is one of the guys to look up to.

- [Announcer] Wow, look at that, quick rate to angle.

Justin Pollock not getting all the way out

to the touch and go but making up for it!

- The first lap, Justin leads.

I stay on his door throughout the entire track.

- [Announcer] And into the final front clip,

just gonna put a bow on it!

There ya go!

- I played it somewhat safe, but I did not let him get away.

I line up for my lead run.

- [Announcer] And here we go.

- As soon as the lights go out,

I jam down the straightaway as fast as I can.

I throw my car in, and man, that same exact issue

that I had on my first qualifying run.

The car just starts to over rotate,

starts to float towards the wall.

I save it, I don't hit the wall,

but at that moment, I knew I just threw away my run.

- [Announcer] No, that will be it for Odi Bakchis.

- That thing's (bleep) all weekend, but I got this far.

As soon as I try to drive it like a man,

a kid steps out, so we gotta figure it out.

- Top 16, here we come,

and we're going against Alec Hohnadell.

I know it's gonna be a tough battle.

He's been in that car a long time, he's a solid driver.

'Cause at this Long Beach course, if you're not

in the touch and go, in the outer zone,

you're not succeeding.

(wrench clicking)

We don't tighten the car up too much,

but we give it just enough.

And heading out for the first battle,

I honestly felt like we had a solid chance against Alec.

- [Announcer] Matt Field leading, Alec Hohnadell

giving chase.

Matt with the gates for initiation.

- Honestly, I lay down a solid run.

Probably top three runs that I've done all weekend,

but you know, he's right there.

Time to turn it up, time to throw down.

- [Announcer] Hohnadell out of the gate.

We got a clean start, no strike, no harm no foul.

- Coming through the touch and go, I had just enough angle,

stay right there, transition outer zone one, bam!

We're right there too.

Now here's where the problem starts to happen.

Instead of him being on the throttle,

he sits on the handbrake throughout

the entire outer zone two, and I'm stuck

sitting here waiting for him to get back on the right line.

- [Announcer] And Matt Field taking a wider line.

- The judges maybe didn't see

what actually transpired there.

Yo, he pulled the handbrake in zone two.

- Yeah I know. - What the (bleep)?

- [Pit Crew Member] I have in-car.

- [Crew Member] Yeah, dude--

- Hand braking in zone two, bro?

- Well, I mean-- - Come on!

- [Alec] You can't keep up?

- Geez!

Can't stay on the gas when you're on the brake

in an eggshell zone, bro.

(crew member speaking faintly)

- [Crew Member] Say something about it.

- [Matt] You think so?

- [Crew Members] Yeah.

- There's some gray areas on the track.

There's certain things the leader driver could do

that's within our rule book, but yet,

it makes it very difficult for the chase driver,

and I think that's exactly what happened to Matt,

and sometimes you just gotta let it go.

- The judges went towards Alec,

so if you don't beat someone bad enough

where they have no choice and you leave it in their hands,

then you didn't run hard enough.

You left something on the table.

(upbeat hard rock music)

- Do that forearm grip?

Welcome to the Cosplay Apprentice where I Empower you to Forge your Favorite Fandoms!

For the last 3 yrs I have been teaching Cosplay techniques online and at live events, helping

people make their dreams a reality with easy to follow tutorials, and simple diy templates.

I'm Skyler Ostler and in today's Apprenticeship I'll be showing YOU how to make Star Lord's

Sony Walkman.

So you want to know how to make Star Lord's Sony Walkman but you are unsure where to begin

or if you even have the skills to do it yourself.

Maybe you've thought about buying it, but everything you've found is either super

expensive, or doesn't have the "spot-on" look you are hoping for.

Well, if that's you then you've come to the right place, let's jump in and I'll

show you how using a pattern or template you can forge your fandom in 5 easy steps without

being a professional artist or breaking the bank.

Ready, Set...

F.O.R.G.E!

Step 1: Find Your Framework Begin by finding a great template from someone

that you trust and have seen the final product to make sure it produces the end result you

are going for!!

For this tutorial I will be using a template I created and have available on my website

that includes both a version that fits your phone inside and the slightly smaller screen

accurate scale template but there are lots of great template makers out there!

Templates are awesome because it saves you tons of time in trying to get all the proportions

and complicated artistic design elements all figured out but still gives you that sense

of accomplishment because you are the one who made it, and the end product is generally

guaranteed to look great!

Step 2: Organize Alright, so with your framework selected now

it's time to jump into the build and start organizing.

Generally templates like this one will print to scale on 8.5x11 pages making it super easy

print out at home.

For bigger items you may need to tape a couple pieces of the template pages together but

once you have that done you are ready to cut the pieces

This is where the real organizing begins!

Good templates should be clearly labeled with some sort of sequential system that tells

you the order of use.

With this one, the pieces are alphabetical so I am laying them all out in order of use

on the table.

Trace all the pieces onto your material, in this case I am using Sintra, and make sure

to transfer the same numbers, letters, and registration marks on the template pieces

over to your traced pieces as well.

After you have finished tracing you will cut out all the pieces and once again organize

them according to your template.

Step 3: Revisit Now that you are super organized now we need

to to review the template instructions and revisit any of the details to individual pieces

that may need to be made before assembly.

In this instance we need to make sure to drill any holes, cut any undercuts, and etch any

etched lines while it's flat and easy to do.

Then, on to the next step!

Step 4: Glue/Assemble Alrighty Peeps, it's time to get our glue

on!

Depending on what type of glue you are using make sure to wear the proper recommended safety

gear for the product.

Go through in the order the template has set up and assemble the pieces together, for this

one start with The Main Body Piece "A".

Glue the Ribbed piece "B" into place using super glue and create a couple screw heads

using some Polly Plastics.

While we are at it let's jump over to Right Side Piece "C", were going to create some

Legit sliding controls on this thang!

On each "D" piece, we are going to create and attach a slider button piece "E" with

Polly Plastics making sure they will be able to slide past one another.

Next, using a rotary tool or other device sand down ever so slightly a channel on the

back side of "C" that both "D" pieces can run along.

Then being very careful not to get any glue in the channel glue Piece "C" Into place on

the "F" piece with some of that good ole super glue!

You can add a nice little power center pin on piece "F" using Polly Plastics magic as

well as the buttons G, H, I, and J. I recommend either roughing up the area the buttons will

attach to or even better drilling a couple small holes in the area they will attach so

that the Polly Plastics has something to grip to and stay secure.

Finish off the right side piece by attaching the microphone grate, piece "K" into place

on the "F" piece using Super Glue.

Next head on over to your "L" piece and let's make sure we get the Top button piece "M"

secured in place.

Now that we have all of our sides built up lets attach them together.

On the "A" Piece heat up and bend along the dotted lines.

Heat and Bend dotted lines on piece "F" as well.

Next, the Tape Deck Door Piece "N" heat and bend along the undercuts on this piece as

well.

Lastly, do the same thing to the "P" piece.

Glue the top piece "L" to the top of the "A" piece and the bottom "O" piece to bottom of

the "A" piece.

The "P" piece will wrap around the whole Right side of the "A" piece and get glued on there.

Lastly, the "F" piece will glue in along the side of the "P" piece finishing off the main

body assembly.

The last thing you need to do is to attach, the "N" piece tape deck door using either

some small hinges from your local hardware store or by making some out of sintra yourself.

To strengthen up some of your glued connections you can reinforce them from the inside using

hot glue or Polly Plastics.

And sand down or trim off any odd edges and smooth things out

Only one step left!!!

Step 5: Embelish

Whoops, you won't be getting any embellishment details from me, if you want to know what

happens next and see the finished product you are going to have to ask my friend ZonZon

Zonbi over on her channel and she will walk you through how to finish this thing off with

all the details and a sweet paint job!

American Road Trip Journal #23: Valley of Fire - Duration: 6:22.

Hi guys, welcome back to another episode of the American Road Trip Journal

Number 23, I believe

At this point of the trip we were already past half way after spending a whole month exploring California

if you remember I visited the redwoods

Lost Coast, the Mendocino Coast, we went to Sonoma, Salt Point State Park

San Francisco, then we went down to Southern California, Palm Springs, the Salton Sea

Then we went to... what else? Oh, Joshua Tree. Then we went to the Alabama hills

I went to Mono Lake, the White Mountains, Death Valley

yeah, it was a very intense month of traveling and driving, but it was really beautiful

There are still so many places that I wanna see in California, but those will have to wait a little bit longer

I really want to backpack in the Sierras. That's one of the things that is on my list very high

It will happen

I promise, but yeah

It was at this point of the trip where we started heading east and leaving the west coast behind

I don't know if I've mentioned this before but even if I have is a nice reminder when we left Portland

We sold most of the stuff that we owned and we had there and we were just carrying with us

Everything else that we actually owned material stuff that we owned. We had with us all the clothes

I had all my camera gear and stuff to develop and scan film

Then we had computers some books we had Luna of course, but that was about it

That's all the stuff, all that we had in the car with us was all we owned at that point

you can say that the car was our mobile home basically

another thing is that Rachel kept working during this trip remotely

So that's why we stayed at Airbnb some hotels to get some stable and decent internet and for the most part

That was true, so what we'd do is just move all the stuff from the car to the Airbnb or hotel

and then I would have a clean and empty car during the week to go explore some parts around the

City where we were staying and then the next weekend when we were ready to move

We'd just load the car once again with all our stuff

and move to the next city town or whatever so this was the case for what you're gonna see in this episode

We were moving from Lone Pine, California to Flagstaff, Arizona

But in between those two places there was another one that I really wanted to check out

That's why we spent a night at the beautiful Valley of Fire in Nevada is this an hour away from Vegas

I'm telling you all this because I didn't really take photos with my film camera or not many because

Rachel was there and it was one of her few chances to go and see and experience a place

so I just wanted to enjoy the

weekend and we went on a couple hikes, I just brought my digital camera with me and took a few videos and

Snapshots with it, but yeah, you're gonna see that there are only like three or four

Film photos on this video. I still hope you enjoy it, and thanks for watching and see you in the next one
