Hey everyone it's Shaleen and welcome to my channel~ so today I'm gonna give you the
rundown on where to shop for k-beauty in New Zealand. Let's just get straight into
it! So I think it's only fair that the first website we talk about is the one
that's been running the longest, which is Hikoco. The URL just being hikoco.co.nz
and it is such a pretty website. The graphic designs.. Hikoco have
nailed the graphic designs for this website, honestly it's so pretty.
Everything is so put together but more important is the free, fast shipping for
a $50 spend and the fact that they actually have a pick up store. So Hikoco
is the only brand currently that has a online an online store and a physical
store. So the address is just down the bottom here and it's in central New
Market so you can actually choose at checkout to pick up on the same day
which is super handy. So at the bottom here is also the payment options which
is MasterCard, PayPal, Visa, and LayBuy which basically just means that you can
get the product and pay it off as you go. Hikoco has a really good range of
products for both skincare and makeup. So here you can either choose the
categories or you can actually choose all skincare which will bring everything
up for you. I normally press that one just because I prefer to see everything
in one go. So I have noticed that Hikoco tends to be one of the first stores to
bring in some of the bigger brands. Brands that can be pretty hard to find in
New Zealand but found on here include Huxley, Pyunkang Yul, Sulwhasoo and Whamisa.
One of the biggest perks in my opinion about shopping with
these guys is the KOCO points. So this is basically a reward system in which each
dollar you spend gets you 3 points. There are extra ways to get points that
include liking them on Facebook, liking them on Instagram, and actually just
signing you up it can give you some points which is always good- that's
basically free money. So the rewards come in cash dollars. So if you redeem 500
points you can get a handheld mirror or $5 off, 1000 points gets you
$10 off or a tote bag and 2000 points gets you $20 off.
I have never successfully saved for
$20 and normally redeem it way before then because I
don't have the patience to wait that long. All right next up is Korean Kiwi
Beauty. I've had quite a few yarns with Elena from Korean Kiwi Beauty and
honestly she is so so lovely. And the URL is simply koreankiwibeauty.com
These guys actually boast having the biggest online k-beauty store and
they're probably not wrong. As you can see here they've also got the categories
that you can choose for skincare but I think what's actually cooler is that you
can choose by skin concern. Which kind of means that you don't actually have to do
any research and they can do it all for you. In my opinion Korean Kiwi Beauty
sells a lot of the cuter stuff- they sell Etude House and Holika Holika
and Apieu which are all really known for the cute packaging. And one of my
favorite things to do is to go onto their sheet masks because it's all so
adorable. There's the Disney ones... you've got dog
ones and most importantly you have the Mickey Mouse ones which I haven't
actually tried yet but I love Mickey Mouse so much.
So they also have a couple of brands that only they sell which include Secret
Key, Eleven Huesday and Nature Republic which is a really, really good brand.
Under payments.. so the payment they accept are credit cards,
PayPal, POLi Payments (I'm not sure what that is) and bank deposits but they also
provide LayBuy *and* After Pay should you just really need the Cosrx snail mucin
and if so I don't blame you. And finally a real cool thing that they do is, Korean
Kiwi Beauty does a monthly giveaway for their customers in exchange for
review of a product you've bought. So if you head over to their Instagram, they
can tell you all about it. This month is an April giveaway for the Holika Holika
Daily Garden Lip and Eye Remover in Olive.
The third one I use is Nashi Lab which is owned by the beautiful and lovely
Sammi. It is actually a smaller website but it was the first New Zealand
store to bring in Klairs which was pretty huge. It's small but it's
hand-picked and curated by Sammi so you know all the products are gonna be
goooood. And as it says at the top shipping is free over $49. Scroll down to the
bottom and it will kindly inform you that they take American Express, Apple Pay
MasterCard and Visa. Nashi Lab may be one of these smaller stores but what they excel
at is selling the cult beauty brands that other stores don't actually sell. In
addition to that Nashi Lab does tend to sell products a few dollars cheaper than
the other stores but as a result the products do tend to sell out a little
bit faster. One of the things and Nashi Lab does really well is the sheet
masks. They've got a lot of sheet marks that people don't have such as the
Cremorlab, Polatam, and Jumiso and these are super, super popular masks
especially on Instagram. And she's got so many of them. So Nashi Lab also has a
reward system. This one is a dollar a point and you can get
points simply by making an account. And the reward system is you can either get
100 points and spend it on a deluxe sample or receive $3
off or you can get 250 points in order to get $10 off.
And last but not least we
have Skin + Glow which is one of the newer websites to the New Zealand
K-beauty scene. At the time of filming this they were actually celebrating
their 1st birthday which is super super cute. So here we have another super
aesthetic looking website and they actually also give a percentage when you
sign up to receive their emails. They're actually offering 10% off your first
order. And super importantly they offer free NZ express shipping on all
orde-s, so there's actually no minimum order rate. So interestingly Skin + Glow
actually only skin care- they don't sell makeup. And they once again
have the categories but I think what's cooler is that they also have the skin
concern option. This time they have quite a few more boxes and you can choose more
than one which is super helpful. They also have a ton of sheet masks. They've
got all the fancy ones such as the Dr. Jart ones and yeah I really, really like
this selection actually. On to brands.. the Skin + Glow website actually
sell quite a few interesting ones: notably 23 Years Old (which I love), Banobagi,
Belief, Dr. Jart and actually most importantly Saturday Skin
because they're the only New Zealand retailer that I found that sells
Saturday Skin.
So that's a pretty big bonus to shopping with them.
Cooool so that is it for today's video.
I hope you guys enjoyed it and found it somewhat
informative.
Honestly all four brands (and all four
shops) are really, really lovely and they have such lovely people working behind
them. So I highly recommend all of them. I hope you guys are having a wonderful
week and I will see you next time. Bye!
