Washed and chopped Amaranthus Leaves - 2 bundles

Oil - 1 tbsp

Chopped Red Chilli - 1

Grated Coconut - 2 tsp

Chopped Curry Leaves - 1 tsp, Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp, Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp, Salt as needed

Chopped Onions - 2 medium size

Chopped Garlic - 1 tbsp

Urad Dal - 1 tsp

Chopped Green Chillis - 2

Gram Dal - 1 tsp, Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp

First turn on flame and place a pan on it.

Keep it in medium flame. Pour 1 tbsp of oil in it.

Add urad dal, gram dal, cumin seeds, mustard seeds and mix them.

Add red chilli, green chillies, curry leaves and mix them.

Now add onions, garlic, turmeric powder and mix it.

Keep it in low flame.

Close with lid for 3 minutes.

Mix often to avoid over fry of onions.

Since we are using minimum oil,mix quiet often so that Onions will not over fry.

After mixing for some time, close with lid.

After 3 minutes, open the lid and mix it.

Now add Amaranthus .

Keep it in medium flame and mix it.

If we fry Amaranthus ,quantity will decrease.

Let us see, Quantity is decreased.

Add salt and mix it.

If you want more spicy, now you can add chilli powder.

Close with lid for 5 minutes.

Mix often.

Since the fried quantity is less, even though it is more,we can consume more quantity since it is good for health.

After mixing for some time, close with lid.

After five minutes open the lid and mix it.

Add grated coconut and mix.

Now mix it.

Now Amaranthus fry is ready. Turn off flame. Now it is ready to serve.

We Are Never Done - Duration: 6:46.

Hello Earthlings, you're watching Adam the Alien.

Today is day four of Vlog Every Day April, and today was the 50th anniversary

of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s assassination.

I want you to think about that for a second.

Exactly how you think about a span of time like fifty years depends a lot on what age

you are and how much life experience you've had.

In other words, it's all about perspective.

I bring this up because my perspective about Martin Luther King, Jr. and civil rights has

changed so much over the span of my life.

When I was a kid, learning about the civil rights in elementary school, I learned it

as some far-away, lost in the past, distant thing.

I learned it as if racism was done, and as if the civil rights battle was a long time ago.

But my own parents were alive at the same time as MLK.

And now that I'm in my thirties, I realize: fifty years, while an impressive stretch of

time, is still really, really, really small in the grand scheme of things.

Martin Luther King, Jr. might still be alive today if he had not been assassinated.

All of this is a very important perspective to keep in mind, because one of the issues

we're facing today as a society is people thinking,

"Oh, you know, we're-we...we're done!

All of these things we fought for as people?

We're...we're just...we're done."

This happens a lot with issues of racism.

In part because of how privileged white people like myself were taught.

I think in school and in life, we often don't talk enough about the long-term ramifications

of historical events and historical actions that continued for centuries.

And even within progressive movements fighting for the rights of any group, there is a tendency

for some people —especially those least affected by the consequences— to say, "Hey!

We're done!

That's it!

We don't have anywhere else to go!

We did it!

We fixed humanity!

Let's just sit back and enjoy the world as it is, and never change again."

But that is not how the world works!

I think a truth of humanity is that we will always have somewhere to go.

Just like, as people, we can always better ourselves in some way.

We can always improve on who we are in some way.

The same is true of society.

There will always be something that needs fixing.

Fixing one problem will only show us what is broken somewhere else.

And that's okay.

That's good!

That's called growth!

The problem is that growing hurts.

And societal growing pains hurt in weirder ways than personal, physical growing pains.

And, of course, what is our natural response to encountering pain or discomfort?

We want to make it stop.

So I understand people who just want things to be done.

I get it.

I want things to be done!

I want the world to be perfect.

But it never will be.

So we always have to be improving.

We always have to be growing.

And this is why, just as it's important to listen to the wisdom of older generations,

it is important to listen to the concerns of younger generations.

Because the younger generations are where things are going.

The older generations found problems and said, "We need to fix this!"

And, to the best of their ability —hopefully— did.

But that doesn't mean there aren't still problems.

That doesn't mean that the new, incoming generations don't want to fix things for the generations

that will come after them...after us.

Fifty years after Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s death, racism is clearly not over.

It is still a pervasive element in our society.

And there are still aspects of it that we need to fix that weren't caused by anyone alive.

They're just, perhaps inadvertently, perpetuated by people who refuse to accept the responsibility

of being in a place of privilege that was set up for them somebody who probably died

centuries ago.

And, of course, there are still the more blatant, overt racists that we've seen become a lot

more vocal in recent years.

This also applies to sexism.

This applies to queer politics.

This applies pretty much everywhere in life, from the vast, global stuff all the way down

to your personal life and mine.

We always have room to better ourselves.

We always have room to grow.

The worst thing we can do is sit back and say,

"Nope! Nope! Nope!

I'm done! I'm done!

No more changing for me!

I'm done changing!

No more, no more.

I'm done. I'm perfect.

I'm a good person.

I'm a good person, and so I cannot be a better person."

Of course you can.

We can all be better people.

We can all be more compassionate people.

We can all push towards a society where, at bare minimum, we accept this truth: we do

not need to let anyone die.

We do not need to let anyone be oppressed.

And we need to continually push towards that goal.

And once we think we've achieved a goal?

Frankly, we need to look for another one.

Because it is not healthy, useful, or productive for any individual person or society as a

whole to just rest on its laurels and say, "Nah!

We have achieved everything that could possibly [be] achieved, and we're done now."

The nature of humanity is that we are never done.

If you ever find yourself thinking,

"Yeah! We're done.

We have achieved every possible thing in this realm of life and society that we possibly can,"

odds are you're going to end up on the wrong side of history.

And even if not...in my opinion, you are on the wrong side of humanity.

I hope everyone grows a little, today.

And I hope everyone is a better person tomorrow than they were today.

Until next time, I'm Adam the Alien.

Fare thee well.

White Strawberry Tart Recipe | ASMR cooking sounds - Duration: 13:22.

Salut! This is Emojoie.

I'm introducing a recipe of strawberry tarts today.

First of all, I will make tart dough.

Microwave butter for about 30 seconds to make it soft.

Mix powder sugar with the butter.

Add egg yolk and mix it.

Sift flour and put it in the bowl.

Please mix it well to a certain extent.

Wrap in plastic-wrap and cool it thoroughly in a refrigerator.

Next, I will make custard cream.

Put about a third of sugar used for custard cream in milk.

Mix egg yolk and remaining sugar.

Add corn starch to the bowl.

Add a half of boiled milk and mix.

Return it to the pot and heat it with medium heat.

Rub the whole pot bottom with a whisk heating it so as not to burn.

The cream has solidified but it is not good to stop heating here.

It becomes a powdery cream if you stop heating.

Continue heating for about 30 seconds.

The cream gets shiny and softened.

This is the point of making delicious custard cream.

Add vanilla extract or vanilla essence.

Put a plastic-wrap snugly on the cream and cool it in the fridge.

I will make a Crème d'amandes (almond cream).

Add powdered sugar to softened butter.

Add one beaten egg little by little and mix.

When mixing butter and eggs please add room temperature eggs.

Add cornstarch.

Add almond flour.

Add the remaining eggs.

Lightly knead the tart dough to make it easier to stretch.

Extend the dough bigger than the tart mold.

Put the dough firmly on the side of the mold.

Add Crème d'amandes (almond cream) and flatten it.

Bake at 180℃ for 25-30 min

Mix custard cream to soften.

Place a custard cream on top of the cold tart.

This time I use white strawberry called pineberry.

It has a pineapple-like scent as the name suggests.

Pineberries is as sweet as red strawberries.

Squeeze the whipped cream.

Done!

Awful taste!!

What one piece of advice would you give an early career researcher? - Duration: 3:20.

Hi, I'm Martha, the Editor of Infectious Diseases Hub, and today we're here at the Society for Applied Microbiology's

ECS Research Symposium.

We've been asking some of the delegates what piece of advice they'd give other early career

researchers.

I think that my one piece of advice would be to do as much research as possible about

any ideas that you're interested in, potential supervisors, universities.

Don't be afraid to contact supervisors and ask them questions about any of the work they're doing,

they'll be more than happy to discuss it with you and potentially take you on board

or suggest other people that are in the field that might be able to help you.

Just look for as much information as you can, there's plenty out there and don't be afraid

to ask for help.

I think my one piece of advice would be don't have a plan, now I know that sounds a bit

counter-intuitive, but what I mean by that is don't be so focused on an end goal that's

a long way away that means you miss out on opportunities that present themselves to you

in your peripheral vision.

Probably try and stay focused on your one research topic and not get distracted by everything

else even if it seems very interesting, you just need to stay focused on whatever your

one main research question is.

I'd say that when you're still in the lab and you're still doing all your experiments

to start writing up your materials and methods for your thesis or your dissertation, anything

like that.

Just because it makes it one less thing at the end to do and one thing ticked off your list.

I'd make sure that you go in and read around your subject before you go into the lab, so

so you kind of know what you're doing and plan some experiments before you actually go into the lab.

I think that it's very important to come to conferences and show your research and talk

to people and try not to get nervous.

Try so the nerves don't stop you from like presenting your work in a poster, or in a talk,

because it's important that you showcase your research and you never know what's going

to happen and who might be listening and will give you really good ideas or help you with

your next stages in your career.

I would say don't focus too much on your research.

I'd say get out, attend conferences, present your research, get writing publications but

also do some extracurricular activities.

Like I am the Early Career Policy Officer for SfAM and I'm really enthusiastic about

science and policy so I'd suggest people to get out there and other stuff.

Some great advice there.

And for more careers advice, expert insight and feature interviews take a look at the

Early Careers Zone on Infectious Diseases Hub.

Should You Take Autism Advice from the Internet? | Where to Find Good Autism Advice - Duration: 5:28.

Today, I'm going to be talking about advice on the internet and why it's pretty dangerous to

take it in the autism world.

Hi, I'm Dr. Mary Barbera, autism mom, board-certified behavior analyst, and bestselling author.

You might know I fell into the autism world in 1999 when my firstborn son Lucas was diagnosed

with autism just one day before he turned three.

At the time I knew almost nothing about autism, and the rate of autism was one in 500.

The internet, for me, was just beginning.

I think I may have had my first AOL account.

I didn't even know how to do a Google search until right before Lucas was diagnosed.

The internet has exploded at the same time that the rate of autism has climbed from one

in 500 to at least one in 68.

The internet explosion has actually helped me spread my message and my step by step strategies

through my book.

That was published a decade ago.

Shortly after my book was published, I created my website, marybarbera.com.

I started a Facebook private page, which you can get to by marybarbera.com/facebook.

The internet has really helped me in so many ways.

I now run some Facebook Ads.

I started providing online courses.

For me, the internet has really helped us form a community and get good programming

out to the world.

People from over 45 countries have purchased one of my online courses, and we have a few

closed Facebook groups where we can talk and give advice when things from the course are

not working.

But there's the whole other side of the internet that is filled with what I would consider very

bad advice.

They're mostly on groups where parents congregate.

When I go on those groups and I see parents posting, they're really struggling with their

child.

It often times involves problem behaviors.

My child's biting.

My child's getting thrown out of preschool.

I can't figure out how to potty train, just all kinds of struggles that many people have.

What happens there is that other very well-meaning parents chime in and say, "Try a weighted

blanket."

There's just all kinds of crazy advice being said.

I, as a behavior analyst, can't ethically comment on those threads.

I can't comment and say, "Try this or try that," because I don't know the child.

I'm not on the child's case.

I've never assessed the child.

Even if it was ethically and legally appropriate for me to comment, I would run out of time

in a day because there's so many people struggling.

One of the best things I can tell you as a behavior analyst is we want to prevent problem

behaviors.

We want to spend 95% of our time preventing problem behaviors.

That's one thing.

The other thing is we need to be a lot more positive, so a lot less reactive to problem

behaviors and a lot more positive throughout the day.

Glenn Latham says we need to provide eight positives to every negative, and that's always

a good idea.

You do need to learn about applied behavior analysis to help you solve any struggles with

children on the autism spectrum, as ABA is the most proven treatment for children with

autism.

In an effort to help parents and professionals who are struggling to help toddlers through

teens with autism, I created a three-step guide which can you can download right now to

help you turn autism around with three steps you can start today.

I hope that if you like this video blog, you'll leave me a comment or give me a thumbs up,

and I hope that you'll join me on my journey to turn things around for two million kids

with autism by 2020 by downloading the link and downloading your free three-step guide.

Thanks a lot.

I will see you next week.
