In Lukaku and Morata, United and Chelsea found that a miss can lead to a hit

IT'S funny how the misery of a miss can lead to such a sensational hit — but that's been the case for both Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte.

If Jose had got his first-choice striking target in the summer, Alvaro Morata would be leading the Manchester United attack.

Romelu Lukaku almost ended up back at Chelsea before his United scoring spree.

Alvaro Morata has hit the ground running at Chelsea.

If Conte had landed his, then Romelu Lukaku would be back at Stamford Bridge and filling Diego Costa's boots.

I doubt either manager will ever be so delighted at having to switch their sights, given how both forwards have hit the ground running.

And the reasons for that — as well as being top players, obviously — are clear to me.

Both know they are loved, know they are the main man, and know they are in the right place at last.

Morata came from Real Madrid having never really had a chance to establish himself at the Bernabeu.

To be fair, with the likes of Ronaldo, Benzema and Bale, it was always going to be a pretty thankless task.

He didn't feel the club's ambitions matched his own.

Lukaku was desperate for Champions League football and despite everyone thinking it would be Chelsea who provided it, United and Jose are the ideal fit.

It's ironic to think now that, when both signed for such huge fees, they arrived with a hefty dose of scepticism.

There were plenty who were not convinced they could cut it at the top level.

Yes, they'd done so at times, but could they do it on a regular basis? Well I think we've been given a fairly resounding answer already.

Many felt Chelsea would struggle without Costa and that Morata lacked that bit of dog about him to turn a game.

Romelu Lukaku proved he has the quality to succeed at a big club.

It's true that even when Costa wasn't playing well he'd still be likely to pull something out by giving defenders such an unpleasant time.

But while Chelsea  lost that, Morata gives them something else — the ability to create a goal from nothing, as he did with the second of his hat-trick at Stoke.

His movement is superb, his pace frightening, and on Saturday he was as close to unplayable as you'll get and could have scored at least five.

Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte will both be delighted with their signings.

Yet if I had to take just one of the pair it would be Lukaku — simply because he has such a massive improvement still to come.

One thing for sure is the Prem has four of the best goalscorers  in the world right now.

As well as these two, we've Sergio Aguero banging them in for fun at Manchester City and Harry Kane as deadly as ever at Spurs.

That race for the Golden Boot will be as exciting as the one for the title itself.

Jurgen Klopp on whether Sadio Mane could start for Liverpool at Spartak Moscow

Jurgen Klopp has been discussing the options with Sadio Mane back available for Tuesday's Champions League clash away to Spartak Moscow.

Mane has missed the last three domestic games after being sent off in the 5-0 loss away to Man City in the Premier League, with the Reds unsuccessful in their appeal.

The winger did start in the 2-2 draw with Sevilla in the Champions League earlier in September, however, but may be lacking rhythm two weeks on.

But having continued to train alongside his team-mates at Melwood, Mane is not short on fitness, and Klopp has claimed he "should be OK" to start in Moscow.

"He's back and available again—and if he is available it makes sense to bring him [back] from the beginning, but we will see," he told the official website on the flight to Moscow.

"Sadio is back and it's really good.

He made all the normal training sessions.

"When you are injured or suspended you have to do more than the rest of the squad because you cannot play, so he should be OK.

Mane was part of the 21-man squad to travel to Russia on Monday afternoon, with Klopp expected to ring the changes following Saturday's 3-2 victory over Leicester City in the league.

Trent Alexander-Arnold is set to be one of those to come in, with the 18-year-old rotating with Joe Gomez at right-back throughout the season so far.

Gomez is suspended for Tuesday night's clash, and was left on Merseyside along with the injured Nathaniel Clyne and Adam Lallana, while Marko Grujic was also not on the plane.

Klopp said "it's likely [Trent will start] but at the moment nothing is sure," and with Jon Flanagan his only other specialist right-back, the probability is very high.

Elsewhere, the 50-year-old confirmed that Loris Karius will make his third start of the season between the sticks.

The German goalkeeper will take over from Simon Mignolet, as Klopp continues to rotate his options—Karius in Europe, Mignolet in the league and Danny Ward in domestic cup competitions.

Beyond Clyne and Lallana, the Reds have no other major injury concerns.

It could be that Klopp fields the quartet of Mane, Philippe Coutinho, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino together for the first time.

Joel Matip, Dejan Lovren and Emre Can, who were all doubts before Saturday's clash at the King Power Stadium, all trained normally on Monday morning.

LIVERPOOL'S stars look relaxed as they prepare to make the 2,000 mile journey to Russia for their Champions League clash with Spartak Moscow.

The Reds play their second match of the group stages tomorrow night, with rivals Manchester United also in the Russian capital as they play CSKA on Wednesday. Sadio Mane led the way as Liverpool arrived at John Lennon Airpot.

The flight itself is a whopping six-and-a-half hours long, and will see the Reds arrive at 9pm local time. But that didn't stop the likes of Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino from looking cool and collected in the British autumn rain.

Sadio Mane travelled with the group as he looks to make a start following his recent Premier League three-game suspension. Loris Karius and Simon Mignolet are both sure to be in the dark over who's lining up between the sticks.

While Daniel Sturridge and Mohamed Salah will be eager to be named in the attack for tomorrow night's match.

Mohamed Salah and Georginio Wijnaldum are both hoping to feature.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Loris Karius are also pushing for a place.

Simon Mignolet could be rested for the clash. Emre Can, Joel Matip and Ragnar Klavan were also amongst those snapped at the airport. But travelling fans have been warned to be on their best behaviour once they touch down in Moscow.

LIVERPOOL stars Philippe Coutinho, Roberto Firmino and Alberto Moreno got up close and personal with a GIANT snake this weekend.

After beating Leicester City in a 3-2 thriller at the King Power on Saturday evening, the trio headed to a garden party to celebrate. Roberto Firmino, Alberto Moreno and Philippe Coutinho posed with a giant snake at a party on Sunday.

Moreno looked especially nervous as the snake moved towards him. And the players got to grips with a massive boa constrictor.

Firmino, posting to his Instagram Stories, lined up alongside Coutinho and Moreno to hold the massive python. The giant snake looked to measure almost 10ft as it wound its way around the necks of the three stars.

While Coutinho looked pretty relaxed with the large snake – Moreno and Firminio looked extremely nervous, especially when its head came near their faces. Although contricting snakes are non-venoumous, they do have sharp teeth.

Liverpools win over Leicester was their first since they smashes Arsenal at the end of August.

Jurgen Klopp oversaw training with a 24-man squad at Melwood on Monday, ahead of Liverpool's Champions League clash with Spartak Moscow.

The Reds are making the trip to Russia for their second Group E clash of the campaign, looking to build on Saturday's 3-2 victory away to Leicester City.

It was another miserable, rainy morning in West Derby, with Klopp's squad acclimatised as autumn sets in on Merseyside.

Joe Gomez was the only new absentee, with the defender suspended following his red card in the 1-1 draw with Sevilla, while Nathaniel Clyne and Adam Lallana are still injured.

With the Liverpool U19s set to turn out in the UEFA Youth League earlier on Tuesday, Ben Woodburn was also not part of Klopp's squad.

Sadio Mane was present, however, with the winger available for the Champions League and, having served his three-match ban following his sending off at Man City, on the domestic stage, too.

Loris Karius is expected to take over from Simon Mignolet between the sticks, with the young German serving as Klopp's No.

After returning to the fold for the weekend's win at the King Power Stadium, Joel Matip looks fit to continue in defence at the Otkrytiye Arena.

The 26-year-old is likely to be joined by Dejan Lovren, with Ragnar Klavan the Reds' only reserve option at centre-back due to Gomez's suspension.

Klopp oversaw training drills alongside assistant manager Zeljko Buvac and head of fitness and conditioning Andreas Kornmayer, ahead of the 2,109-mile flight to Moscow.

Philippe Coutinho was in good spirits at Melwood, after netting his first goal of the season with a sensational free-kick against the Foxes.

Klopp is leading Liverpool through their first Champions League campaign of his tenure, and their first since 2014, and he will be eager for a vital victory against Spartak.

so today! tadaa a Mos Burger Haul with limited seasonal items

3 'kitami' soy sauce tonkatsu burger

3 'nagoya' shrimp burgers this isn't a limited release burger but I ordered

3 of the teriyaki chicken burgers just because and variety pack "C" Lg colas

brown rice mango shake

this is a rare cheese style sweet soy milk

and its been getting cold and I thought that some soups would be yummy so I bought

3 corn soups

the limited edition items, the 'kitami' soy sauce burgers and the 'nagoya' shrimp burgers sound so yummy don't they

itadakimasu this is the kitami soy sauce tonkatsu burger

and this is the nagoya fried shrimp burger

they're both deep fried items I'll start things off with this kitami soy sauce tonkatsu burger

inside there is a pork cutlet with tomato and lettuce

props to Mos burger the tonkatsu (cutlet) is so yummy

when you eat tonktatsu together with tomatoes it makes it so yummy

the tomatoes are so juicy especially these Mos tomatoes

the soy sauce glaze goes so nicely with the tonkatsu and the katsu has a nice crispness that is so yummy

the meat in it was so yummy apparently they're using hokkaido pork in it

the sauce they used is so sweet and so yummy

and now is the nagoya fried shrimp with lemon tartar

inside it looks like this its tartar sauce with fried shrimp

the fried shrimp juts outside the bun

the shrimp are so plump and have a nice mouthfeel to them and this is very yummy as well

the tatar sauce with that bit of lemon gives it that nice fresh taste

goes so nicely with deep fried things

they're both so very yummy and.... I just can't make up my mind with eating just 1

I still have 2 more remaining

I'll have to re-examine them again

this is my usual fave the teriyaki chicken burger

these teriyaki chickens are so yummy Mos' chickens are so yummy

~oh wait'a'minute the shrimp and the pork katsu were also very yummy~

and inside it looks like this its mayo with teriyaki chicken

the chicken is so tasty and cooked to a nice crisp

and that combo of teriyaki sauce and mayo goes so nicely

the bun is very yummy as well

I'll go toss these desserts into the freezer

I bought variety pack "C" it contains onion rings, Lg fries, and 2 chicken

mos chicken

so yummy its so crispy and very tasty

this is corn soup (Chowder?)

the corn is so rich and has a nice sweetness to it

eating fries together with a warm soup is so yummy

mos fries are yummy even when cold

there are so many places that have great fries places that sell crispy ones

~And what else umm~

oh well I guess places that sell crispy ones is all then? well anyways the potatoes they use are so yummy

and the salt flavor is so yummy as well....

the thing that grinds my gears is how they get so cold right away

is it just me or are the fries the first thing to get cold right away?

and I'm always ordering things and bringing them home right away

once I bring it home and start munching down on them I find they get cold so soon

perhaps its because I order so much food?

the unfortunate fate of fries...

mos fries are so moist in the center so they're so yummy even when cold

these rings are so yummy as well

K the sweet soy milk with rare cheese flavor and a Med brown rice mango shake

the mango looks so nice

a cold dessert to finish off a meal is so nice

the sweet milk flavors and mangoes go so nicely

there is a little sticker here but you're suppose to eat this without removing the plastic

~I almost removed it~ this is a grapefruit on this

oh it really is grapefruit

and over here is crumbled cookies

so good its got a layer of cookies with

rare cheese flavored soy milk on it and then a layer of tangy grapefruit

final mouthful itadakimasu

gochisosamadeshita

kitami soy sauce tonkatsu burger and the nagoya fried shrimp burger with lemon tartar

were all so yummy the soy sauce tonkatsu burger and that fried shrimp burger....

if I had to choose between them both.... I don't know if I can make a pick

if I really had to make a choice.

it just might have to be the fried shrimp with lemon tartar

the shrimp were so yummy in it the katsu burger was yummy but ...

to me the shrimp were so nice and plump and so yummy

the tomato on the katsu really made me think that Mos put a lot of thought into their burgers

if it was just the katsu alone it would be missing that juiciness from it

but with the tomato added it gives it that extra fruity juiciness that was so yummy

the fried shrimp with the lemon tartar was yummy as well

I had all sorts of other things to eat today and they were all so yummy as well
