Youtube daily report May 11 2017

Hey Wix designer!

Just like us, you're in the business of promoting your website and consistently improving

your SEO.

So today, we'll talk about a website term you've probably heard a lot, but maybe not

fully understood or implemented on your site.

And while it may not be the most exciting element of web design, it is crucial for being

found in web searches.

So without further ado, let's get into it: Alt-Text!

Alt-text is the "name" you give to a photo or graphic element on your site that helps

identify it.

But it's not something that users will immediately see, or the same as a caption…

Let's break it down.

Using the example of a jewelry designer who sells new and vintage pieces online, think

about photos they will likely post: Victorian engagement rings, bangle bracelets and gold

necklaces.

Picture a beautiful gallery of images, with impeccable design and navigation.

BUT, if the designer wants people searching for Victorian engagement rings, bangle bracelets

and gold necklaces to actually find their site, posting a photo of each item is simply

not enough.

Why?

Because Google doesn't read photos, it can only read text.

Without text labels to describe each photo, this designer's lovely jewelry won't appear

in searches.

There is, however, a remedy.

When building and maintaining a site, set aside time to label every single photo that's

published with a some simple keywords.

These words are the alt-text.

And they give your image the wings to fly in google searches.

Ok, maybe that's an exaggeration, but with alt-text, an image will stand a fighting chance

of getting found by users searching for similar items.

Think of it this way: if you don't label it, how will they know it's there?

Now you can see how alt-text affects your website's SEO strength.

So: while alt-text's most important purpose is to attract users to a site during searches,

it also serves another purpose.

If a certain image doesn't load immediately, or is broken for some reason, alt-text will

show up over the picture, identifying it for site visitors.

Long story short, every image you upload should come with a line or few words of alt-text

to describe it—trust us, it will do wonders for your Google ranking.

If you already know why alt-text is essential and just need a few pointers to add it to

the images on your Wix website, here's a quick tutorial:

First, let's add Alt-text to your individual images:

In your Wix editor, select the image that you want to add Alt text to.

Click Edit.

Hover over the image and click the Settings icon.

In the Title field, enter the title for your image.

It should be a short description (just a few words).

Now your image has alt-text!

Don't forget about the images in your galleries either; they should also have alt-tags.

To add Alt text to your gallery images:

Click the section that includes the gallery you want to add Alt text to.

Select Edit

Hover over the gallery image and choose Organize Media

Select the relevant image.

In the Title field, enter the title for your image.

Again, keep the description to just a few words

Repeat steps for each image in your gallery.

Go through each page of your website and make sure you've tagged each image with alt-text.

If you need help coming up with more search-worthy alt-text to describe your photos and lead

users to your site, try the new Wix SEO Wiz.

It analyzes your site's keywords and suggests stronger ones to enhance your ranking.

You can use some of these keywords to strengthen your alt-text as well.

Once you feel good about the descriptions of your images and graphics, don't forget

to save and publish!

Until next time, happy tagging!

Mel Robbins: How to Plan Your Week (Mel Robbins 2017) - Duration: 4:56.

How is it that you see something larger

for yourself well the first thing that

you have to do the very first thing is

you have to get out of the week

successful people are all in the weeds

the busier you are the more you have

going on you know that old saying that

everybody says don't work in your

business work on your business we are

all in the weeds and the key to seeing

something larger for yourself is getting

out of the weeds I mean don't you feel

like this food I know I do you know I

wake up brush your teeth make the coffee

feed the kids pack the lunches put them

on the bus get in the car text your

friends get some coffee arrive at work

feign and tris answer emails update

facebook make cold calls avoid the

meeting look busy crunch some numbers

update Facebook get in the car go to

carpool feed your kids feed the dogs

check email update Facebook kiss your

husband climb into bed fool around

are you kidding I'm exhausted turn off

the light I I live in a two household

Thank You entrepreneurial family I'm

exhausted

I'm busy how the heck am I going to see

something larger for my life when I have

a business to run when I have kids to

take care of well you have to get out of

the weeds and you know the truth is

there's some good news and the good news

is I heard about this pill that's in

development

you know I know I'm waiting for it to

and you know the problem though is I

think that they're going to have naming

problems forget it all and it seems like

a kind of a bad name for a pill even

though I might take it now and again so

I thought before we jump into how you

see something larger I need to yank you

out of the weeds first so I'm going to

give you my advice for what I do in

order to keep myself out of the weeds

and you guys don't need remedial

personal development I got that I just

feel obligated to give you some some

actual things to do so getting out of

the week number one run your life like a

business what does that mean what that

means and what it means for my life is

every Sunday night we have a family

meeting and we handle all the logistics

all of them everything from what day's

the kids are going to buy lunch at

school to who's going to pack to what's

going on

when you're going to exercise handle it

all because if you don't plan your week

out before the week starts you're going

to be in reactive mode you're going to

be running around you're going to be

you're going to be chasing down the

biggest thing that's happening in your

life you're going to be constantly

responding this is one of the most

important things that you can do if

you're not married if you're not living

with somebody do it for yourself

plan your week you know this already

number two this is my favorite thing to

do I do it a couple times a day I know

some of you are doing this right now

instead of actually taking notes this is

do a brain dump if you feel overwhelmed

if you feel like you're in that mode

where you're on a treadmill and you're

going nowhere and it's just getting

faster and faster somebody said to me on

the radio the other day I love that she

said I feel like I'm in a rocking chair

and I'm just rocking in it's going

faster and faster and faster take a

second

dump everything out of your brain the

old mash episode you're thinking about

the fact that you have to pick up the

dry cleaning the new valuation you

wanted to crunch out for your company

whatever in there get it out of your

brain you cannot see something bigger

for your life if you're busy carrying a

to-do list in your head

final thing hugely important exercise

I'm not going to dwell on this I'm not

on a mission to make you skinny I am on

a mission to help you figure out what

you want to do

your life and to get it done there is

research out of the Harvard Medical

School from dr. John Ratey which is

fascinating the book is called spark he

has proven the connection between

exercise and your brain he has proven

that if you exercise just 20 minutes a

day that's it the plasticity of your

brain changes what that mean it means

that when you exercise the physical

structure of your brain and the

chemicals that go into it prime your

brain to make faster decisions you

regrow memory cells and you make better

decisions they have proven it at the

Harvard Medical School make sure you do

it and I want you to do these these

things because I want you to get out of

the weeds

Oukitel K6000 PRO |Thes Unboxing GR+Eng Subs - Duration: 7:57.

Welcome back to the channel

Anyone who is new here press subscribe and the bell so you get notifications

Today we have an Oukitel K6000 as you can see in the title

The box is orange as with all Oukitel I've opened, I m not sure if all Oukitel boxes are orange

The phone comes in white, black, grey and gold

We have the grey one here

It's a 5.5-inch phone Let's check out what's inside the box

This video is sponsored by store4u.gr, you can find more info in the description below

Here we have the phone

The key to open the sim tray, so you can put the sim cards in

The phone has dual sim, dual standby, 4g

Inside there is an English manual and warranty leaflets

It has some other languages, but there is no Greek

Something that most Oukitel phones offer, unlike the majority of the market

There is a screen protector and a cloth to clean the screen

Inside you can find a cable, micro usb to usb

which I would think is OTG but it has a button over here

So, it might be to charge another phone with this phone We are going to see this later on

The micro usb cable to charge the phone

A charger, European type

Which is 5v 2a, so you can charge the phone fast

Here we have the phone which is protected by a case

Made from plastic, a gelatine case

Which is included with the phone along with a screen protector

The phone is somewhat heavy, it weighs 213 grams

In comparison with a redmi note 4 I think there isn't much of a difference

Let's compare it in size as well

The phone has 6000 mAh battery so you will never run out of battery

If you charge it

On the top, it has the 3.5mm jack slot for headphones or hands-free

On the left side, there is the sim tray

While on the right side there is the power button and the volume buttons

On the bottom, there is a microphone and a micro usb slot

On the back, you can see the camera which is 13mp which with the interpolation it becomes 16mp

A dual led flash, fingerprint sensor and a speaker

On the front, there is a camera 5mp which with the interpolation it becomes 8mp

The speaker and a light sensor

And the buttons down here that almost all phones have

Let's turn it on

The phone has the 8 core mediatech 6753 with 1.3 gHz

3gb ram, 32gb rom, android 6.0 marshmallow, 5.5 full hd screen,

camera 13mp which with the interpolation becomes 13mp and the front camera from 5mp it becomes 8mp

The phone has the classic menu that Oukitel has selected

It's almost a stock android, there is a helper here on the side

It has Greek installed

A lot of other languages as well

The phone has wireless connection, bluetooth v4.0 and fm radio

The 6000mAh can last for a long time as well as charge another phone

Let's test the camera

It has a good camera; the colours are very bright I don't know if the brightness is too high

Yes, it is and the colours look very bright

It feels like a 13mp camera

Let's test the front camera

You can see the sample photos in the description

The photos are decent enough

But I think anyone who buys the phone will buy it for the battery and not for the camera

Although it combines everything

Let's see what does this cable do

I connected it with another phone and it started charging which means we can also use it as a powerbank

It's a phone that has everything

I suppose we can use this cable as an OTG as well

To connect a flash drive to the phone

So, it has everything included

This was the phone This was the video for this week we hope you liked it

If you liked it don't forget to press like and share

And if someone hasn't subscribed, you should there are more videos coming

We are going to see you on our next video Bye!

Dental Implants in New Brunswick NJ: Frank | Oral Surgery Group - Duration: 1:06.

I always went to the dentist every year, twice a year, but I neglected some of the larger

issues, and I waited until I was about 52 to begin complete reconstruction.

Most recently, I've seen Dr. Richard Stern for dental implants.

Each one has been no issues, done professionally.

Dr. Richard Stern – he's a funny guy.

He's got hands of gold, very professional, incredibly courteous and respectful.

Staff is incredibly professional, facilities are always immaculate.

Of course I would recommend Oral Surgery Group to anyone – and I have.

Both my sons and my wife come here.

If you have to get oral surgery, this is the place.

Cherie St. Cyr, Fiber Artist (Part 2 of 2) - NANCY'S CORNER - Duration: 5:42.

My return Nancy's Corner guest is

a self-described "washer woman."

I describe her as a fabric dyer and an artist.

Please welcome back Cherie St. Cyr,

a fabric artist from Wisconsin.

Cherie, we had you in our previous program

where you talked about your great dying of fabric.

- Yes.

- Now, we'll see some of your wonderful works of art.

- Oh, thank you.

This first one that we're starting with

is my favorite of a series that I did in Mexico two years ago.

I saw some tiles

of this Japanese ceramic artist,

Jun Kaneko, at a studio tour...

- And I just, like,"Wow!" - [laughs]

- I just went crazy.

I made, like, 38 quilts that winter.

I just was out of control,

and this one in particular

happens to be my personal favorite,

and goes into my private collection.

- And it's called "Dots and D--"

-"Dots and Dextrin." - And Dextrin, yes.

- Because it's potato dextrin

or sugar from potatoes that--

- That makes the dye.

- Makes that crackle pattern

that I put thickened dye over.

- And the inspiration now,

so many of our viewers say,

"Where do you get your inspiration?"

when I see them,

"Where do your guests get

your inspiration?" It was a tile?

- A big tile.

These big, big tiles.

Like, a series of eight of them...

And I was just like...

- [Nancy laughs] -Staggered by the beauty of it.

- Now, many quilt artists put in some signature touches

to most quilts of theirs,

and one of yours I've noticed, when I've seen your exhibits,

is black and white.

- Yes,and it's particularly my binding.

I hand paint...

- Those black and white stripes.

Kind of-- they look just really boring in my studio,

but when you cut 'em into 2 1/2" strips

and you bind with them...

- They make sort of a snappy... [snaps fingers] statement.

- It's good to incorporate those types of things in quilts,

and you don't always have to make show-stopper quilts.

You can make quilts that are going to be used

on a basis, as for a baby.

- Yes, I make many baby blankets.

I try to not let any of those babies get away from me.

- And this baby quilt is not like

your traditional baby quilt. - No, it's not.

So, it has a hand-painted center of the sun face.

- Mm-hmm.

- It has potato dextrin

in the leaves at the bottom.

It has chemical resist stripes and flowers on one side.

It has a little, tiny bit of commercial batik,

the suns and moons,

but, for the most part,

you know, that's probably about

the most commercial fabric I've ever used in a quilt.

- Now, Cherie, most of us are not going to be

dying our own fabric, I have to say this,

but I think why I wanted you

to explain your quilts to our viewers is that,

to get permission to combine many prints

as long as they had some commonality.

- Yes, hopefully color

is my commonality.

And this next one shows the commonality...

of "Face Factory" of one color,

and it was in transition here.

This one was done for a challenge, correct?

- Yes, and you always get,

it seems like, the ugliest fabric for a challenge.

- [laughs]

- I was like, "Oh, my God. What can I do with this?"

So I cut it and made chevrons.

And then, this is a series that I have done,

"The Face Factory," with these silly faces,

and then, all this embellishment

I was doing for a while some years back.

- Sewing buttons, sewing charms.

So, this sort of adds another layer

to my hand-dyed fabric.

- Even though you're a Midwest artist,

you started your career, or your life, not in the Midwest.

- In New Orleans.

- And this definitely speaks to that influence.

- It does, it does. - So what fun.

Lots of buttons, lots of charms, and some of your

very interesting painted areas.

It's just fun to look at.

You don't know where to go...

first, and then you just enjoy the whole piece.

- Oh, thank you.

- Now, you also learned to work with batiking--

to batik when you were in Nepal.

- So these are little silk screens of the dog here

that I did.

I had a show of images

that I had photographed while I was in Nepal,

and I love turquoise and brown.

For me, while I was in Ibiza,

in my teens,

I saw an older woman, maybe 30. - [laughs]

- She was wearing turquoise and brown,

and I was like, "Oh, she's so beautiful,"

and it's come for me

a really popular combination of colors.

- And so you have--

Here's some blocking I think you've done.

- both in unison: Block print.

- And then the relief of this dog that you found.

- And then my little painting.

- And be sure and sign your quilts.

Whether you put a label on the back

or, better yet, put it on the front.

- So I started doing this because the University Hospital

had bought maybe 30 of my quilts

and they were slow getting the labels made...

And I said,

"Well, I better take matters into my own hand

or into my own sewing machine."

So I started signing them with the machine.

- Well, Cherie, it's been a pleasure

to see your enthusiasms,

to see your quilts that you have created

with fabric and with, of course, your hand-dyeing.

So thanks for being with us.

- Thank you, Nancy. - You're welcome.

Again, thank you for joining us as always on Sewing with Nancy.
