My name's Annelise Seisun and I'm filming

Sleepout. You know the aim of tonight is to
raise awareness about homelessness okay
and over the course of tonight you're
going to have the opportunity to know a
bit more about homelessness and hear
from a person who has experienced
homelessness. Take the information that
we learn and and spread it to your other
peers, also to break down the stigma
stigma attached to homelessness as well
but you're going to learn about over tonight.
As we pointed out, if you experience homelessness
as a young person, you will most likely experience it as
an adult. So, everyone's lives are different
you don't all start at the same point, but for the purposes of this game
we have. So, the people at this end are the
disadvantaged in our community,
the people at this end are all
the business owners, CEO's and the jobs that pay a high
amount and everyone in the middle
are pretty much living on minimum wage.
This is probably one of the harder points, in the sense that
depending on what happens in your life,
it's quite easy to go back quite a few steps.
It's also easy to go forward, so it's an
interesting section to be in but it doesn't
mean that you can't help the people
behind you.
