『Carry Me Off』

After going through the trouble of fixing myself up,

If you ignore me, I'll seriously hurt you! "You look pretty" won't suffice!

Always playing it off, acting dumb

It's starting to seep out you know

Just starving,

desperate for love...

Just starving,

desperate for love...

Sick of digging for the truth

You could do a better job of hiding it

I have the right to pull the trigger on things too

So don't think you can just go on fooling me

Stop worrying,

Let go of whatever is keeping us apart

I'm not the only one wearing an uneasy smile...

Tossing out those all too convenient

"I love you"s and "Let's be together forever"s

Along with that face you're making right now,

You think that's enough to steal my heart?

I can ask and ask but you won't look away for a second,

It's that habit of yours whenever you're keeping the truth from me

Where are your eyes looking now?

What are you trying to hide this time?

What are you trying to hide...

You won't say it straight so it just makes me fret more and more

Anyone would react this way, wouldn't they?

I have a right to know about you too

Don't think you can fool me!

Stop worrying,

Let go of whatever is keeping us apart

I'm not the only one wearing an uneasy smile...

Tossing out those all too convenient

"I love you"s and "Let's be together forever"s

Along with that face you're making right now,

You think that's enough to steal my heart?

Xiaomi Mi 6 Review - Duration: 16:35.

if you live in China then you can pick

up one of these for $360 USD its the MI 6

for everyone else it's going to cost a

little bit more around $480 USD but it is

a very premium mobile phone with top-end

specs on it. It's got a Snapdragon 835

processor a Adreno 540 GPU 6 gigabytes

of RAM 64 gigabytes of internal storage

up to 128 gigabytes of ufs 2.1 storage

which is very quick for a mobile phone

it has an ultrasonic fingerprint reader

in 1080p screen now these are leftovers

from them the Mi 5s but it's not a bad

thing as it's a very nice screen and the

fingerprint reader really does work

extremely well so on the rear we've got

this new dual camera setup a 2 times

optical fixed zoom 12 megapixel sensor

and the other 12 megapixel sensor is

more of a standard affair here with just

optical image stabilization but it

happens to be 4-axis stabilization

battery life has also increased to three

3350 mAh

however we've lost the 3.5

millimeter headphone jack so it seems

they give us something and then take

away something else which is a little

sad to see. We've got curved glass on the

rear now that feels good in hand bottom

of the Mi 6 has a loudspeaker the

microphone and a USB type-c port and on

the Left we just have the dual SIM tray

so there's no micro SD card support in

there sadly just like the Mi 5 & Mi

5s and things that show me they're not

putting micro SD cards and their flag

shows because they want you to buy the

higher storage capacity phones the

buttons on the right side have a good

feel to them they're made out of metal

and they change the front-facing camera

it is now an 8 megapixel unit so what's

smaller pixels in there and as a result

I feel the quality is not as good as the

Mi 5's 4 megapixel ultra pixel camera

which had larger pixels on it

and on the top there's an IR transmitter

secondary microphone which is used for

noise cancellation and also the

secondary mic in video. Now looking at

the display it is a really decent 1080p

display one of the best that you'll find

for 1080p to me it looks just as sharp

as a 1440p screen because it does have

428 PPI being 5.15 inches maximum

brightness tops out at 540 Lux which is

good enough for viewing it in direct

sunlight only just but it's not as

bright as my Samsung Galaxy s8

in direct sunlight the build quality is

superb it's very good the fit and finish

on here really there is no faults with

it there is one minor complaint though

that I have and that is just around the

cameras here it's a little rough the

edges there is a metal trim that goes

around those two camera modules and it's

a little sharp there so they could

improve on that it could just be my

model bear but it feels in hand just as

good as my Samsung Galaxy s8 the build

very similar because we've still got

that middle frame painted middle glossy

black frame on there both of these

phones of course absolutely fingerprint

smudge magnet so in the Box you do get

this TPU case which fits it perfectly

and makes the phone a little less prone

to dropping because the design of it

being all glass like any smart phone

it's all made out of glass it is

extremely slippery in hand and it does

look good in this case it's not as

premium as the case we got on the me mix

which was made out of leather there's

quite a cheap case but the quality is

fine and you can see it's got cut out

there for the camera and for all of the

ports there including the IR transmitter

and secondary mic at the top so now we

have the biggest con of the phone and

that is the ROM itself is just not

stable while the performance of it is

quick and snappy most of the time

certain applications just don't want to

work sometimes and will also cause you

can see now actually look at that

trying to run CPU Z it just freezes then

for a second I don't think that's going

to load properly and I've seen it caused

the whole phone to reboot completely

unacceptable

it's really disgraceful the state that

this ROM is in now I know that Xiaomi

will fix this

later on when they get a stable ROM on

this phone it's going to be really good

perhaps one of their best yet that I

have seen an asphalt xtreme was kind of

also load that look at that there we go

the phone has completely locked up and

I've seen the UI reload again see if I

can load asphalt. So a very poor rom

really so unstable. So the Snapdragon 835

that it has has a maximum turbo of two

point four five gigahertz it's also

coupled with six gigabytes of RAM and

ufs 2.1 storage meaning it gets really

good scores here very quick this is

flagship top-of-the-line kind of results

here benchmarks if benchmarks mean

something to you then this is the phone

that really does get some incredible

scores here so there's sequential read

speeds these are almost as good as my

Samsung Galaxy s8 700 megabytes per

second sequential right 206 the random

read for kaze and writes also excellent

really good

so no bottlenecks deal with the storage

the antutu score again if you love your

benchmarks it's really high a hundred

and eighty mm very decent result there

now vite wireless AC really impresses me

very good range I'm able to get really

good speeds still over the other side of

the studio here and maxing out them

maximum speeds that I can basically get

out of my fiber optic line which is 300

meters per second unable to achieve that

only top Wireless chipsets can do that

the 3G speeds nothing amazing they're

fine 4G speeds as well really good no

problems with the signal strength so

connectivity very good we also have

Bluetooth 5 on there here is the work to

score again another really high

benchmark score aided by the fact we've

got ufs 2.1 storage and the gps no

problems whatsoever it locks on to

satellites really quick

never lost my position attested it to my

car as well very good accuracy gets down

to around three meters which is

perfectly fine so very happy with the

GPS performance so on to battery life I

did run various different tests over

three or four days here I got a on

screen time of 11 hours now this was

medium to light use the brightness was

set at 200 lux and the screen here you

can see there 10 hours now that always

isn't going to be the way when it comes

to better oh but I am impressed with the

battery life it's very good for a

flagship chipset you can see I was doing

some gaming there now this is my second

test where I got 7 hours and 15 minutes

on screen time so the average I would

say is around about 8 hours depending on

what you're doing up on screen time just

to quickly cover the charge times you

can see here the results you get so it

takes a while to charge from 80% to 100%

and overall to fully charge it from 5%

to 100 is just over two and a half hours

there so it's not the fastest phone but

still quite quick when it comes to

charging the music's has two

loudspeakers on it so it's got one down

the bottom here the microphones next to

it and out of the earpiece is where the

second male speaker is now I'm going to

compare the sound here against my

Samsung Galaxy s8 I'll have listen to

the quality of it and just how loud it

gets looking at the disavow meter they

have

all right so that speaker is loud the

quality of it has definitely improved

over previous models because they've got

that additional speaker there's a little

hint of bass in there and compared to

the Samsung Galaxy s8 I think the S8

sounds slightly better there but the

volume out of it is good

now of course shall we did something

really bad and then as they drop to the

3.5 millimeter headphone jack support so

you're going to have to use this adapter

now which is a little bit annoying so

charging and listening to music at the

same time it's going to be a problem.

I can report though that the quality out

of that type C port is really good it's

super clean there's no hiss there's no

interference and also the voice call and

call quality in general is really good

it's excellent no problems top audio

quality just that we are lacking that

3.5 millimeter headphone jack the

fingerprint reader on the me five is

front-facing ultrasonic and it works

every single time for me very quick, no

need to wake the phone first just simply

place your scan finger on there it

unlocks instantly so here's the camera

application nothing's really changed

from your typical Xiaomi mobile however

we do have a couple of different modes

here because of that dual camera setup

tapping this right here and uses the

second auxilary sensor with that two

times optical zoom and this one right

here is our portrait mode so here's a

couple of very quick samples you can see

that's my cat there Vera and it's taken

quite a nice looking photo here with

some bokeh, blurring the background out

there now the stitching isn't quite

perfect you can see just on the outer

edges of her fur that there's like a

well an effect there you can see there's

a little bit blurred so it hasn't

stitched it to get it perfectly but you

can get some life photos with that so

here are some samples now from the

cameras and you can see here that it

does take a really good image just have

a look at the quality of this flower I'm

happy with the colors as well the colors

it doesn't tend to overdo it like some

mobile phones do and it captures a lot

of detail there

and I feel that the Samsung Center which

is the one with the optical zoom on here

you can see with the zoom and then

without it it also does a decent job but

only in good light when things go into

see later on in the samples I'm about to

show you into low-light it doesn't quite

have the same result but overall I'm

very very impressed with this camera I

do feel that in good lighting conditions

it really can take a good photo that's

as good as my Samsung Galaxy s8 just

check out my comparison you'll see

side-by-side images of those to see what

I mean there

you

rear camera now shooting in 4k the

maximum setting so we don't have the

second sensor the two times optical zoom

one in video mode not at this stage it

does have phase detection autofocus if

it focuses there on my camera okay a

little slow at times now there is 4

axis optical image stabilization and

walk along now and it works okay but

really it's not made for walking or

running it doesn't have electronic image

stabilization as well so the combination

of both would be ideal now the audio

quality that our wind noise at the

moment of course was it's windy here I

feel that the audio quality isn't as

good as it could be

show me really should up the bitrate and

try and improve on the audio quality and

video it's not really up to other

flagships but overall not bad quality as

you can see stuff will now from the

front-facing cameras you can see the

quality is quite good here but in direct

sunlight it will over close your face

seems to do that at the moment it's

cloudy so everything's been casted quite

well you can see the cliffs in the

distance and even details of the sky

which is really quite good

1080p maximum resolution here in

low-light as you see later on it does

drop frames 4k gain this time in

low-light and you can see it struggling

it does drop a few frames

Vera. And the focus has a lot more

difficulty but these kind of lighting

conditions you see it does pulse in and out

there a little. So this is what the

front-facing camera is like in low-light

starts to drop frames it's now at about

15 frames per second which is really

unacceptable for a flagship mobile to be

dropping frames especially with this

processor

so when it comes to gaming performance

as you'd expect from an Adreno 540 GPU

very fluid really nice and smooth you

will see the occasional little dip in

frames per second and lag as expected

but overall top performance out of this

GPU and it'll play all of the latest and

greatest games with very playable frames

per second so this is their best phone

yet I believe once they can fix that

firmware it really is mud at the moment

by the unstable firmware it's buggy it

can lock up the whole phone it could

reset on you completely for no reason

launching certain applications like CPU

Z seems to do it and trigger it apart

from that the build quality is excellent

it's premium their best. Yet splash

resistant. We've got very decent battery

life on here for Snapdragon 835 really

good performance, gaming performance is

good, gps is brilliant, very fast wireless

AC, really good 4G. Okay we're missing the

3.5 millimeter headphone jack but we do

get this second speaker on there so the

loudspeaker performance has improved a

little bit. Now the camera performance

some surprises here that the still

images in good light take a very decent

image really good impressed with the

performance of both of the cameras there

but the video quality still is a little

bit of a letdown. Xiaomi have to

improve their video quality and the

audio quality and video I feel aswell

needs to be tweaked. So if they can fix

this software side of things this is a

really decent phone for the price which

is going to be dropping at the moment

around $480 USD. By the time this review is

about three or four months old it'll

probably be selling for around $400 USD or

even less. Thanks a lot for watching this

review I do hope to catch you back in

the channel. And if you haven't already

Iron Man 2 | 'Stark Expo Entrance' Scene | (2010) Movie Clip(1/11) 4K - Duration: 4:29.

Tony! Tony! Tony! Tony!

Aww It's good to be back.

- You missed me? - Blow something up!

I missed you, too. Blow something up? I already did that.

I'm not saying that the world is enjoying

its longest period of uninterrupted peace in years because of me.

I'm not saying that from the ashes of captivity,

never has a greater phoenix metaphor been personified in human history.

I'm not saying that Uncle Sam can kick back on a lawn chair,

sipping on an iced tea

because I haven't come across anyone who's man enough

to go toe-to-toe with me on my best day.

I love you, Tony!

Please, it's not about me.

It's not about you.

It's not even about us. It's about legacy.

It's about what we choose to leave behind for future generations.

And that's why for the next year and for the first time since 1974,

the best and brightest men and women

of nations and corporations the world over

will pool their resources, share their collective vision,

to leave behind a brighter future.

It's not about us.

Therefore, what I'm saying, if I'm saying anything,

is welcome back to the Stark Expo.

And now, making a special guest appearance

from the great beyond to tell you what it's all about,

please welcome my father, Howard.

Everything is achievable through technology.

Better living, robust health,

and for the first time in human history, the possibility of world peace.

So, from all of us here at Stark Industries,

I would like to personally introduce you to the City of the Future.

Technology holds infinite possibilities for mankind,

and will one day rid society of all its ills.

Soon, technology will affect the way you live your life every day.

No more tedious work,

leaving more time for leisure activities and enjoying the sweet life.

The Stark Expo. Welcome.

Iron Man 2 | Tony Stark Meets Natalie Rushman(Natasha Romanoff) | (2010) Movie Clip(3/11) 4K - Duration: 2:54.

The notary's here! Can you please come sign the transfer paperwork?

I'm on happy time.

- Sorry. - What the hell was that?

It's called mixed martial arts. It's been around for three weeks.

It's called dirty boxing. There's nothing new about it.

All right, put them up. Come on.

I promise you this is the only time I will ask you to sign over your company.

I need you to initial each box.

Lesson one. Never take your eye off...

That's it. I'm done.

- What's your name, lady? - Rushman. Natalie Rushman.

Front and centre. Come into the church.

- No. You're seriously not gonna ask... - lf it pleases the court, which it does.

- It's no problem. - I'm sorry. He's very eccentric.

What?

- Can you give her a lesson? - No problem.

- Pepper. - What?

- Who is she? - She is from legal.

And she is potentially a very expensive sexual harassment lawsuit

- if you keep ogling her like that. - I need a new assistant, boss.

Yes, and I've got three excellent potential candidates.

They're lined up and ready to meet you.

I don't have time to meet. I need someone now. I feel like it's her.

No, it's not.

- You ever boxed before? - I have, yes.

What, like, the Tae Bo? Booty Boot Camp? Crunch? Something like that?

- How do I spell your name, Natalie? - R-U-S-H-M-A-N.

- What, are you gonna google her now? - I thought I was ogling her.

- Wow. Very, very impressive individual. - You're so predictable, you know that?

She's fluent in French, Italian, Russian, Latin.

- Who speaks Latin? - No one speaks Latin.

- No one speaks Latin? - It's a dead language.

You can read Latin or you can write Latin,

- but you can't speak Latin... - Did you model in Tokyo?

- 'Cause she modelled in Tokyo. - Well...

I need her. She's got everything that I need.

Rule number one, never take your eye off your opponent.

Oh, my God!

- Happy! - That's what I'm talking about.

- I just slipped. - You did?

- Yeah. - Looks like a TKO to me.

Just... I need your impression.

You have a quiet reserve. I don't know, you have an old soul.

- I meant your fingerprint. - Right.

- So, how are we doing? - Great. Just wrapping up. Hey.

- You're the boss. - Will that be all, Mr Stark?

- No. - Yes, that will be all, Ms Rushman.

Thank you very much.

- I want one. - No.

Iron Man 2 | 'You Want My Property,You Can't Have It' Scene | (2010) Movie Clip(2/11) 4K - Duration: 4:29.

We all know why we're here. In the last six months,

Anthony Stark has created a sword with untold possibilities.

And yet he insists it's a shield.

He asks us to trust him as we cower behind it.

I wish I were comforted, Anthony, I really do.

I'd love to leave my door unlocked when I leave the house,

but this ain't Canada.

You know, we live in a world of grave threats,

threats that Mr Stark will not always be able to foresee.

Thank you.

God bless Iron Man. God bless America.

That is well said, Mr Hammer.

The committee would now like to invite

Lieutenant Colonel James Rhodes to the chamber.

Rhodey? What?

Hey, buddy. I didn't expect to see you here.

Look, it's me, I'm here. Deal with it. Let's move on.

I just...

- Drop it. - All right, I'll drop it.

I have before me a complete report on the Iron Man weapon,

compiled by Colonel Rhodes. And, Colonel, for the record,

can you please read page 57, paragraph four?

You're requesting that I read specific selections

- from my report, Senator? Yes, sir.

It was my understanding that I was going to be testifying

in a much more comprehensive and detailed manner.

I understand. A lot of things have changed today.

- So if you could just read... You do understand

that reading a single paragraph out of context does not reflect

- the summary of my final... Just read it, Colonel. I do. Thank you.

Very well.

"As he does not operate within any definable branch of government,

"Iron Man presents a potential threat to the security of both the nation

"and to her interests."

I did, however, go on to summarise

that the benefits of Iron Man far outweigh the liabilities.

- And that it would be in our interest... That's enough, Colonel.

- ... to fold Mr Stark... That's enough.

... into the existing chain of command, Senator.

I'm not a joiner, but I'll consider Secretary of Defense, if you ask nice.

We can amend the hours a little bit.

I'd like to go on and show, if I may,

the imagery that's connected to your report.

I believe it is somewhat premature to reveal these images

- to the general public at this time. With all due respect,

Colonel, I understand.

And if you could just narrate those for us, we'd be very grateful.

Let's have the images.

Intelligence suggests that the devices seen in these photos

are, in fact, attempts at making manned copies

of Mr Stark's suit.

This has been corroborated by our allies and local intelligence on the ground,

indicating that these suits are quite possibly, at this moment, operational.

Hold on one second, buddy. Let me see something here.

Boy, I'm good. I commandeered your screens.

I need them. Time for a little transparency.

- Now, let's see what's really going on. What is he doing?

If you will direct your attention to said screens...

I believe that's North Korea.

Can you turn that off? Take it off.

Iran.

No grave immediate threat here. Is that Justin Hammer?

How did Hammer get in the game?

Justin, you're on TV. Focus up.

Okay, give me a left twist. Left's good. Turn to the right.

Oh, shit. Oh, shit!

Wow.

Yeah, I'd say most countries, five, 10 years away.

Hammer Industries, 20.

I'd like to point out that that test pilot survived.

I think we're done, is the point that he's making.

- I don't think there's any reason... The point is, you're welcome, I guess.

- For what? Because I'm your nuclear deterrent.

It's working. We're safe. America is secure.

You want my property? You can't have it.

But I did you a big favour.

I've successfully privatised world peace.

What more do you want? For now!

I tried to play ball with these ass-clowns.

Fuck you, Mr Stark Fuck you, buddy.

We're adjourned. We're adjourned for today.

- Okay. - You've been a delight.

My bond is with the people.

And I will serve this great nation at the pleasure of myself.

If there's one thing I've proven

it's that you can count on me to pleasure myself.

Iron Man 2 | Tony and Rhodey | 'Side Effects of Palladium' Scene | (2010) Movie Clip(4/11) 4K - Duration: 2:49.

Yes, but the fundamentals of the company are still very, very strong

- despite the events in Monaco. - Yes, of course.

- The AP wants a quote. - Don't tell him. Fax them...

Where is he?

- He doesn't want to be disturbed. - He's downstairs.

- ... what happened in Monaco? - Yes, but...

But his continuing erratic behaviour

may lead many people to ask themselves,

"Can this man still protect us?"

Iron Man never stopped protecting us. The events in Monaco proved that.

Query complete, sir. Anton Vanko was a Soviet physicist

who defected to the United States in 1963.

However, he was accused of espionage and was deported in 1967.

His son, lvan, who is also a physicist,

was convicted of selling Soviet-era weapons-grade plutonium to Pakistan,

and served 15 years in Kopeisk prison.

No further records exist.

Tony, you gotta get upstairs

and get on top of this situation right now.

Listen. I've been on the phone with the National Guard all day,

trying to talk them out of rolling tanks up the PCH,

knocking down your front door and taking these.

They're gonna take your suits, Tony, okay?

They're sick of the games.

You said nobody else would possess this technology for 20 years.

Well, guess what? Somebody else had it yesterday.

It's not theoretical any more.

Are you listening to me?

- Are you okay? - Let's go.

Hey, man. Hey, hey!

- You all right? - Yeah, I should get to my desk.

- See that cigar box? - Yeah.

It's palladium.

Is that supposed to be smoking?

If you must know, it's neutron damage. It's from the reactor wall.

You had this in your body?

And how about the high-tech crossword puzzle on your neck?

Road rash.

Thank you.

- What are you looking at? - I'm looking at you.

You wanna do this whole lone gunslinger act

and it's unnecessary. You don't have to do this alone.

You know, I wish I could believe that. I really do.

But you've gotta trust me.

Contrary to popular belief, I know exactly what I'm doing.

Kate Robbins, Comfort Quilts - NANCY'S CORNER - Duration: 5:32.

I was surprised to learn that quilts

can be part of the foundation for a hospital.

Not literally

but through the making and donating of quilts

a humanitarian aid hospital is being built in Tanzania.

Please welcome Kate Robbins who is our guest.

She heads up the program Comfort Quilts Project

which is part of Roads to Life Tanzania.

Kate, welcome to Sewing With Nancy.

Thank you, Nancy, I'm glad to be here.

When I heard about your project

making a quilt block, sending it to your organization

making a donation and what it does

I was so impressed.

Give our viewers an overview of Roads to Life Tanzania.

Thank you.

Roads to Life Tanzania has been doing

development work in Tanzania

just south of the Serengeti National Park

in Tanzania near a village called Nkololo

for nearly 50 years.

They've done a lot of things

built roads, educated kids

done other agriculture projects.

And now they are building a hospital.

We were trying to think of

a way to help them do that.

We've come up with a project called Comfort Quilts

and we're having quilt blocks.

Like a block builds a building

we're having a quilt block

help build this building.

We're asking the quilting community

to donate a 12" block in any kind of pattern.

We just ask, no embellishments.

Anything that could be used in a hospital.

So it'd be like a 12-1/2" square

so it'd a 12" finished block.

Right.

And those will then be made into quilts

that will be used in the hospital.

I have a group of volunteers who are going to help

put them together.

We have one of those with us today.

We do, we do.

The project started, oh, not quite a year ago

and we've had quite a few blocks come in

as well as donations.

The donations will help us

finish building the hospital

and equipping it.

And the quilts, like I said, will be used by the people

who are patients at the hospital.

Now sometimes when you're

at consumer shows or events

you give away a little square of African fabric

so that they remember to make a block.

Some of those fabrics squares

have been incorporated in the blocks.

They have, which was kind of a surprise to us

but it's real fun to see that.

I think the people in Africa

when their quilts come back and see some of their fabric

they might be surprised.

This is a good example of that.

These corner squares here in this particular block

are from a sample that we did give out

at a quilt show just to show the show-goers

about African fabrics and the like.

It was fun to see how someone used it.

Now, in Tanzania the hospital is so needed.

Explain the number of beds right now

that are in the hospital

and why you're building another one.

Well, back in 1983 they started with a

very small healthcare center

kind of a drug store, if you will.

Then it went to a maternity ward

and then a healthcare facility.

The current facility has 32 beds

but the daily occupancy is over 50, Nancy.

That means two people per bed on most days.

Two sick people per bed.

Yeah, yeah.

As Americans, we don't even

like the thought of sharing a room

much less a bed with someone.

As you can see, the need is very great there.

We're hoping this facility

will house at least 100 beds

as well as it will have a surgical unit

which we haven't had in the past.

They have a blood lab that they can use

for more procedures than they've been able to do.

So it will really be a great facility

for the people of the area.

You have a great quote on your brochure.

Why don't you read that to our viewers

because it ties in building humanitarian need

as well as quilts.

Thank you, it does.

It's called the Comfort Quilt Project

and we say that it is "Binding the fabric

of generosity and talent to give relief and comfort

to those in need."

And that is truly what this project is about.

It's comforting to see that--

We have the cute picture of these little kids

and one of the quilts that you've donated.

Being, obviously,

not used in the hospital, but used there.

We can use quilts all over the world

but this is your little corner of the world

that you're working with.

Every year you're just going to be

sending more quilts to that area.

They will most certainly be used

and much needed there.

It's a big undertaking to equip the hospital.

This is just one way that we can tie the people here

the very generous quilting community

to help those that are really in need in Africa.

You're over halfway there

of the $9 million project.

Congratulations.

We're working on it.

The Comfort Quilt Project

is one part of that fundraising effort

and so far we've been pretty successful.

We hope that this program

might help us bring in more.

Well, Kate, thank you for joining us.

I'm sure you'll get some

quilt blocks and donations from our viewers.

We look forward to that.

Thank you for the opportunity, Nancy.

Kate Robbins, Comfort Quilts - NANCY'S CORNER - Duration: 5:32.

I was surprised to learn that quilts

can be part of the foundation for a hospital.

Not literally

but through the making and donating of quilts

a humanitarian aid hospital is being built in Tanzania.

Please welcome Kate Robbins who is our guest.

She heads up the program Comfort Quilts Project

which is part of Roads to Life Tanzania.

Kate, welcome to Sewing With Nancy.

Thank you, Nancy, I'm glad to be here.

When I heard about your project

making a quilt block, sending it to your organization

making a donation and what it does

I was so impressed.

Give our viewers an overview of Roads to Life Tanzania.

Thank you.

Roads to Life Tanzania has been doing

development work in Tanzania

just south of the Serengeti National Park

in Tanzania near a village called Nkololo

for nearly 50 years.

They've done a lot of things

built roads, educated kids

done other agriculture projects.

And now they are building a hospital.

We were trying to think of

a way to help them do that.

We've come up with a project called Comfort Quilts

and we're having quilt blocks.

Like a block builds a building

we're having a quilt block

help build this building.

We're asking the quilting community

to donate a 12" block in any kind of pattern.

We just ask, no embellishments.

Anything that could be used in a hospital.

So it'd be like a 12-1/2" square

so it'd a 12" finished block.

Right.

And those will then be made into quilts

that will be used in the hospital.

I have a group of volunteers who are going to help

put them together.

We have one of those with us today.

We do, we do.

The project started, oh, not quite a year ago

and we've had quite a few blocks come in

as well as donations.

The donations will help us

finish building the hospital

and equipping it.

And the quilts, like I said, will be used by the people

who are patients at the hospital.

Ballade au Mont-Royal - Montréal automne 2016 - Duration: 3:23.

Visiting the Mont-Royal – Autumn 2016

Lise: Now, we get to the Beaver Lake.

Jade: Yes.

Lise: In the Park named Mont-Royal which is gigantic.

Jade: Gigantic!

In fact we took the bus because we thought

that this would bring us closer and we are lucky

because the Park spreads on kilometers and kilometers.

Lise: Absolutely.

Jade: So if you're thinking about going to the Beaver Lake

and getting off at the entrance of the Park

and you say: "I'll walk", don't do it!

Lise: You will have to walk but for very long!

Jade: There were at least 7 bus stops

and there are 10 minutes of climbing between each stop!

So you know!

Jade: There are a lot of things to do at the Mont-Royal.

There is a beautiful observation point of the entire city.

Today we're going to sit and have a picnic

by the Lake which is...

just beautiful.

And my darling brought her djembe.

Lise: I'll practice a bit!

Jade: So that we get a few coins... I'm kidding!

Lise: It's fascinating to see how the face of Montreal

changes radically and how the city is very well used.

The city and its surroundings are very well exploited

whatever the season.

In summer people are canoeing on the Lake,

we do picnics in the Park.

And in the winter it changes completely, you can go skating.

Jade: Sledding.

Lise: Practice cross-country ski.

Jade: Ziplining.

Lise: C'est génial.

Bye!

Jade: Oh, is it over honey?

Lise: Yes Jade, the video is over..

Jade: But we have a lot of things left to see, a lot of meals to eat!..

Lise: I know, Jade, but this will be for the next videos!

Trump Tweets To Appeal To His White Nationalist Base - Duration: 8:53.

Farron, the President went on this week to question, I don't know.

There's a lot of people who are interpreting this in many different ways, but Donald Trump

clearly feels like Abraham Lincoln may have dropped the ball a little bit.

He is clearly, and there's been a lot of talk about how Steve Bannon is on his heels in

the White House.

I think that's true.

We saw Seb Gorka basically make his exit this week or at least it was announced and we can

talk about him in a bit.

He was just sort of a run of the mill, a neo-fascist Breitbartian writer who for some reason was

walking around the halls of the White House claiming to be a counter-terrorism expert.

Putting that aside, I think Donald Trump's talking about Andrew Jackson this week still

is indication that if Bannon is not still in his ear telling him how to succeed with

his base, he's still in his mind telling him how to succeed with his base.

This was just one of the oddest statements I think that we've seen from Donald Trump

so far.

That says a lot, really, because this is one of those things.

He didn't have to say this.

He didn't have to say anything at all regarding the Civil War and Andrew Jackson, and just

decides to randomly throw out this piece of information about he's a lot like Andrew Jackson

who, as we all know, almost stopped that Civil War, if only he hadn't died a decade and a

half before it began.

Donald Trump didn't know that little piece of trivia there, and so comes across just

looking so much more childish and ignorant than he normally does.

What's funny is that you do have the different reactions from the various different groups

and to be honest, one of my favorites has been Joe Scarborough who seemed genuinely

concerned about Donald Trump's mental health following this statement.

Goes on his show in the morning and says look, this is getting worse.

There's something wrong with this incoherent rambling that the President is currently doing.

Honestly, he seemed very sincere, like he's genuinely upset for this man.

I agree.

I mean something- I'm sorry.

Let me stop you there for a second and let me tell you why I think a lot of that I find

to be hooey.

I think the idea that he didn't know that Andrew Jackson had passed away is hooey.

I think he said it in a sloppily way, said if he was around then or something like that,

he would've had a problem with the Civil War.

I think of course Donald Trump hasn't read one lick of a history book that would tell

him what was going on.

It's obviously a story he heard.

But I think he also knows that Andrew Jackson is a signifier to his white nationalist base

of where his sympathies lies.

Jackson was a guy who committed genocide on behalf of the United States.

He's a much more complicated figure than that, but based upon the average Trump voter, that's

what they know about this guy.

The whole construction of did we really need to have a Civil War, this has been, this question

and the subsequent answers that it provides has been bouncing around right-wing fever

swamps and frankly, not even the fever swamps.

Jon Stewart was in a debate with Judge Napolitano years ago where the question of why couldn't

Abraham Lincoln just buy the slaves.

This is something we hear all the time from libertarians.

This is Donald Trump signaling to his base that the Civil War was a war of aggression

by the Union forces.

That's what's going on here.

For people like Joe Scarborough who claims in his 54 years to have never heard such a

question, there is no doubt in my mind he heard that question.

I know where he's from the south.

You know where he's from.

He heard that question many times.

The Civil War was a war of aggression to a large subset of people in this country and

there is a pretty consistent one-to-one relationship of whether or not they voted for Donald Trump.

That's what this was about.

This was about shoring up his base by saying something that to the rest of us, sounds rather

incoherent.

It's only for the fact that I spend so much time dealing with right-wingers that you hear

these type of things.

The idea that he could've worked out a deal in some fashion.

I mean, what would the deal have been?

The deal would've been I would've paid for all of the slaves.

Now of course, Lincoln offered that to several of the states that were on the borders of

the Confederacy.

They didn't take that deal, but there wasn't enough money in the treasury to buy all those

slaves in the first place.

And let's be honest.

It's not just buying the slaves that the southern plantation owners were ... It was about everything

that was generating their wealth.

There was a lot of economic reliance, yes.

The south wants to argue it was about economics, yes.

It was about somebody coming in and trying to take away your free labor.

I am not so sold on this notion of there was oh my gosh, is there gambling here?

No.

I'm sorry.

There's an attempt to make this a unique phenomenon that is only a function of Donald Trump, but

this is boiler plate conservative meme questions that we've heard for years and years.

It is that.

I mean look, that's probably the best analysis I've heard of that and to be honest, not something

you're hearing about too many other places.

Put that into perspective with what Joe Scarborough said.

For the record, Scarborough's a guy who, during the time, did everything he could to prop

up Donald Trump.

I take his half-hearted concern for the man with a grain of salt.

When you do, perhaps that's misdirection.

Perhaps that's Joe Scarborough saying look away from the racism and maybe there's just

a problem here.

Maybe he's just not thinking clearly.

Maybe he's just rambling, doesn't know what he's talking about and misdirect away from

the dog whistle politics that Trump is playing here.

Spot on analysis there, I have to say.

Again, not something I had heard anywhere and certainly not something that I had thought

of.

I do appreciate that.

I spend too many times taking phone calls from libertarians who tell me the same thing.

I mean, you hear this stuff all the time.

I think some of these right-wingers call Lincoln the evil, the most evil of the evil because

of his war of aggression on the south.

This is more of Donald Trump basically sloppily but trying to send a dog whistle to his base

because we're looking at a guy who has had unprecedented unfavorable ratings this early

in his administration.

He's been unable to get anything of his agenda passed where it involved somebody else having

to do something.

He's been unable to move a single item on his agenda.

When it came to signing executive orders, when it came to changing the policy that ICE

uses to determine who they're going to go after in terms of undocumented immigrants,

he's been able to do that.

He's been able to unilaterally destroy the EPA in many respects in terms of its regulatory

functions, but whenever it involved anybody else signing off, this amazing deal-maker

was able to do nothing at this point.

He's trying to turn his situation around.

Why Does Wales Have So Many Castles? ⚔🛡 - Duration: 12:01.

You're watching Vagabrothers, and this

is the tiniest house in Great Britain.

Well, it's actually the smallest house,

but it's pretty tiny. Let's go.

What's up Vagabuddies? Welcome back.

Day two in our exploration of Wales.

We've left St Davids, and we are driving

north. Today's going to be a fun episode.

We're going to be exploring more of

Welsh identity and culture by

checking out its ancient roots, exploring

one of the finest castles in the land, and

then diving into the local food movement.

We're going to start things off here at

Pentre Ifan, which is kind of like the

Stonehenge of Wales. Let's go.

Thousands of years ago across Europe,

there was a culture that originated

in the Germanic areas

and spread out to the far corners of

Europe called the Celts.

There's not a lot known about them,

apart from the fact that the culture

was still around during the time of Rome.

When Julius Caesar arrived in the

British Isles, he was fighting off the Celts,

as well.

It's kind of fascinating to me that

this culture was so wide spread,

and there's still so little really known.

My name's Pete Crane.

I'm the former archaeologist for the

Pentre Ifan National Park.

We're at the burial chamber at Pentre Ifan

This was the first ancient

monument that was protected in Wales.

So it's number one. It's only the upper

end of society that seem to be being

buried, and they're buried in these

chambers. Pentre even probably had

dry stoned walling going up the sides

of it. As you look at the monument now,

all we've got is the major stones there.

It was excavated in the past, but a long

time ago..probably by treasure hunters.

Basically, the grave had been robbed by

the time the archaeologist had gotten at it.

We know a lot of the early stones at

Stonehenge are coming from the Preseli Hills

just behind us.

The stones from Stonehenge are from Wales?

The small, blue stones are from Wales.

How many miles is it from here to Stonehenge?

I have no idea, but a long way if

you're carrying a stone.

While we're here, it's worth mentioning

the myth of King Arthur who is a

hero of unknown origins, but who

a lot of people associate with Wales.

What's most likely true is that he was a

Romanized Celt, and the Welsh who

evoke the story of King Arthur many

times throughout their history as they

repel the next wave of invasion from England.

So to learn more about the story of

Wales and England, we're heading north

to Conwy Castle.

It is in there.

Well a little change of events.

We pulled over to take a nice shot,

and the car is now stuck in mud.

We're trying to figure out how to get it out.

This is not good.

All right guys. We've driven

a couple hours north.

We're officially in North Wales,

and we're in the town of Conwy,

which is one of the best preserved

medieval walled towns in all of Europe.

Right now we are strolling

along the city walls on our way to

Conwy Castle.

This is a symbol of a major point in the story of

Wales because in the 1200s, Edward the

First came back from the Crusades and

he was the King of England.

He wanted to put down the Welsh

rebellion once and for all.

It was said the the Welsh were really

easy to beat in a battle, but hard to beat

in a war. To solve that, they basically

went about creating some really imposing

castles in what was known as

The Ring of Iron.

That's why Wales has more castles than

any other country in Europe.

These castles were built, not so much

to defend the occupants,

but as to symbolize the presence of

England and to put down any rebellions

that the Welsh might have against

English rule.

Standing up here it's really easy to

put yourself in the shoes of

a person almost a thousand years ago.

You've got the mountains in Snowdonia

off in the distance with snow covered

peaks. You've got the ocean behind us.

And just over there is Conwy Castle.

We're going to continue walking along

the city walls until we get into

the castle itself.

Well, this has to be.......

my favorite castle I think I've visited.

It has the perfect balance between

preservation and accessibility

and ruin.

Yeah, it's just the right amount of ruin.

It's in tact, but it's kind of rustic.

Plus I love that you can wander the

whole thing. Every single tower

is pretty much open, and they have

all the little circular staircases going up.

So you can really get lost in here.

I would have to say, though......

if you were living here back in the day,

and your role was to guard the castle,

what do you think you'd do to pass the time?

Drink ale.

Obviously. That's just me, personally.

Back in the day, there would have been

a lot of conflict here. I know that.....

we said the castle was built in late 1280s.

It took four years to build;

it cost fifteen thousand pounds, and that

was equivalent to forty five thousand .......

forty five million pounds today.

Forty five trillion, billion pounds.

Thank you Doctor Evil.

The point being that they built

these castles fast.

This is only one of many castles being

built at the same time.

In the 1400s, they had another rebellion.

The Welsh rose up again,

and this place was actually captured

through a pretty tricky little maneuver.

The local Welsh almost

like the Trojans and the Trojan horse

dressed up as carpenters, talked

themselves through the first gate,

killed the secondary guards, and then

eventually captured the entire castle.

They held out for about six months, I think,

until they finally surrendered, and

nine of those guys were put to death.

I don't know if any of you are movie buffs,

I hope you are. This reminds me of

the scene in Willow,

George Lucas' sleeper classic.

Madmartigan, played by Val Kilmer,

battles off all those weird little creature,

evil creature things, in the abandoned

castle. I walked in here and I was like......

Willow.

Every time we come to the U.K.,

we "dork-out" so hard on history

because this country is just so

chalk- a- block full of

amazing historical stories.

Every town you go to has a thousand

plus years of history, and some really

interesting turn of events that shaped

the country that the U.K. is today.

Bear with us, if you're not too into history,

we are going to be doing a lot of other

stuff, but when we come to places like

this, we tend to get pretty excited.

You know what else to get excited about?

What? Lunch.

Conwy is known for its mussels, which

are caught right here in the estuary.

We're going to head over to the

Castle Hotel and try to find some

local seafood for lunch.

For lunch, we've ordered

local Conwy mussels, which come

with a cream white wine sauce.

These are so good.

Conwy mussels are really good because

they have a perfect mixture of

salt water and fresh water in this estuary.

This is where a river meets the sea.

We saw some fishermen going right

underneath the castle,

and they unload here on the quay

and then served fresh for this restaurant.

Thank you.

I's definitely time for a coffee.

This is such a pretty little town, though.

Honestly.

All these colorful, little buildings......

castle, walls, good food.

Good beer.

And a coffee and a bookshop.

Should we go in?

It's a P.L.T. a pretty little town.

Mark likes making acronyms and

abbreviations.

Coffee and Bookshop.

Well, that was delicious.

It's been a really cool day here in Conwy,

learning a little bit more about the roots

of Welsh culture and how it survived

to this day.

Not to mention exploring ruined castles,

eating amazing seafood,

and getting a little bit of our minimalist

inspiration going with the

smallest house in the U.K. #tinyhouse.

Anyway, guys, if you enjoyed this video,

you know what to do: give it a thumbs-up,

share it with your friends, subscribe,

and turn on notifications if you have not

already, and stay tuned for the rest

of the series. Tomorrow we're going to

the mountains up here, Snowdonia.

In the meantime, stay curious,

keep exploring, and

we'll see you guys on the road. Peace.
