The New Alpina B3 S Might Be the Best M3 Alternative

Alpina's new, 431-hp B3 S and B4 S make their debut next week at the Geneva Motor Show.

If you want a fast, relatively compact BMW, the obvious choice is, and always has been, the M3 and M4. Theres always been another option, though–Alpina.

Where BMW M cars offer track-ready performance, Alpin-tuned BMWs offer similar power levels, with chassis better tuned for road use. That tradition continues with the new B3 S and B4 S.

These cars, which make their debut at the Geneva Motor Show, are updates of the previous Alpina B3 and B4, which were based on the pre-facelift version of the BMW 3- and 4-Series.

You get your choice of body styles–sedan, coupe, convertible, and the connoisseurs choice, wagon–and rear- or all-wheel drive. Each comes with a 30-liter twin-turbo straight-six good for 431 horsepower and 487 lb-ft of torque paired with a ZF eight-speed automatic.

Thats more power and torque than the standard M3 and M4–which make 425 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque–but the Alpina falls slightly short of the 444-hp M3/M4 Competition Package.

Still, depending on the model, the Alpina B3 S and B4 S are good for 0-62 mph runs in the low-four/high-three second range and top speeds near 190 mph.

Both the B3 S and B4 S get Alpinas signature appearance upgrades inside and out, too. You can order yours in Alpinas signature shade of blue (pictured) or green, and each comes with 20-inch multi-spoke wheels.

Subtle interior tweaks also give these cars a more bespoke feel than their standard BMW counterparts.

Unfortunately, we dont know whether well see these models in the US. Typically, Alpina hasnt brought its tuned 3- or 4-Series here, though it does sell modified 6- and 7-Series at BMW dealers.

Hopefully they do make it here, because, well, a 431-hp Alpina wagon sounds like our idea of a good time.

Hey there and welcome back to my channel! Today I have an unboxing video for you.

I know you love these videos and I really love filming them.

We will unbox these boxes together and there is a package that is in my room for 2 weeks now.

I feel like I'm a hero that I did not unbox it...maybe I took a glimpse...

but I did not see the products one by one.

So that's a big thing, I guess. I had here 3 packages,

these 3 that I wanted to show you.

I already started my intro when mom told me there is a bus in front of the house

and maybe it has to do something with me.

And believe it or not it had a package for me from Rossmann.

And I think it was just the perfect timing

because we will unbox this as well. Okay?

So 4 little packages for today's video, hope you enjoy, let's get started.

Oh, what's that? So the first package...(I was lazy to wash my hair btw, sorry)

So this is our first package and I had to open it a little to see if it's what I was waiting for.

So I just wanted to make sure it's the right package.

And yes, it is, but I did not see the products.

This is from Park Avenue Makeup and here we have cute makeup.

Okay...oh, little pink wrapping paper...

This must be a little message for me...

so let's see what's in it.

First we have a Park Avenue Professional Makeup palette.

Wow how pretty shades...these 2 bronzing powders look awesome...

this one is my shade for sure.

We also have here a blush, this one is a blush too I guess, and this one is a highlighter that we can also use as a shadow.

Let's see a swatch...oh!

A very pretty creamy gold shade...

Wow, I like it and the bronzing powders as well...

Very creamy, and you know I love that...this swatch looks very good!

I like it when it's creamy and more on the soft side because that means it's blendable.

This palette looks exactly like that. And the pink blush looks so good on everybody.

This is our first product.

Looks good...then we have here a little eyeshadow quattro.

Looks like this and these are also super pigmented...

So pigmented. By the way these can be used as highlighters as well.

But of course as shadows as well, or here in the inner corner or how you say that...

This is called white beige pink moka..the names of the shades.

We also have here 3 foundations, the mineral mat and cover.

We have 03 natural, 04 porcelain, 05 sand and 06 chestnut.

So 4 shades, perfect because I am sure I'll find the right shade for me.

If there's only 1 shade in the package, that's very unsure...but like this, I will find my shade or mix it out.

Then we have a makeup sponge here which I will use for applying the powder underneath my eyes.

I just feel like it will be perfect for these areas.

Then we have 2 lipsticks, 02, a pretty nude...

and 07 a pretty orange shade.

It is so pigmented, crazy, very pigmented and pretty.

Then the other one looks like this...a medium pinky nude I'd say.

Super creamy and pigmented, thank you!

I like all of them. And then this one...Park Avenue Makeup lip gloss.

A super pretty pink shade...I like the shade a lot, you know I love my light pinks.

And it smells fruity I guess. It smells good.

Let's see...so pretty, really.

I'll have close ups for you as well.

Then we have some mattifying oil control sheets, I know what's that and I never had one of these...

These are little sheets that...look they are pink...so these help with oily skin.

These remove the oil from the skin, I know, sounds gross but it's very helpful at the same time.

I got this much makeup from Park Avenue, thank you very much!

I love all the products and can't wait to try them out. I'll update you!

Oh and one lipstick was hiding, so we have 3 lipsticks from them.

This one is a pretty browny nude shade.

It's a creamy lipstick with a hint of pink but it's more browny...

So we have 3 lipsticks instead of 2. Thank you so much!

Let's continue with LUSH, I know you like it as much as I do.

I got it on my last trip to Budapest, yes.

It looks like this, I think it's super cool.

And oh...

#knotwrap is a japanese tradition inspired by furosiki.

It offers you a variety of solutions for your daily challenges.

Yeah...You can use this 'scarf' as decorative wrapping.

You can use it as a head band and then it becomes a funky little bag.

Like it's now. Thank you, a very cool little package and I think we have the products inside it.

Scrubee is first with bossy cocoa butter, almond, coconut oils and brazilian orange oil.

Sounds good...and it looks like this. Oh how cute.

Next is mom yellow bath bomb with sicilian lemon oil, sweet orange oil and rose oil.

I like this white wrapping paper, I think it looks good.

Oh how fresh it smells.

It's so rainy outside, you know, maybe I should have a bath later on.

LUSH always puts me in the mood.

Then Ups-A-Daisy bath bomb with rosewood oil, orange oil and rose absolute.

Wow, what a color orgy, look!

How pretty this looks...and I never had it before as well.

I think the bath water will look crazy colorful with this in it.

If I take a bath tonight, I'll use this one, for sure.

Next is a ungarian edition beauty box from Krémmánia.

This is how it looks like...

This is what I grabbed first...

which is a grape seed oil shower gel for dry skin.

I never heard of something like this...and it's from Yamina hungarian organic brand.

(the name in English)...I already said that in Hungarian, yes.

Oh, it smells so so good!

Next we have Tipolina hand and body cream, again, hungarian product.

This smells very interesting but very good at the same time.

Then we have an apricot whipped moisturizer...

and the brand is Ilcsi if I'm no wrong.

Ilcsi apricot whipped cream, a hungarian brand that must be talked about in the hungarian cosmetic industry.

The brand is known by its organic ingredients by its whipped creams.

The one with apricot for normal skin was selected for this box.

It has carrot, apricot and corn gem oil so it hydrates and lifts the skin.

This is Phi pazar cafe eye cream.

These are all so super exciting, can't wait to try them all.

The Phi brand uses only natural organic ingredients and has only handmade products.

Its most famous product is this eye cream which is meant to help with the undereye bags. Great!

This is a light borwny cream with a very special coffee scent.

The perfect product for Karin.

Hélia-D, which I already heard of, serum for split ends.

I need this, hope it works because my ends look horrible.

So...dry split ends...perfect, okay!

Schüsler rich moisturizing lotion.

For cellulite, can be used when pregnant with organic shea butter and argan oil.

Geek&Gorgeous smooth out...where are you?

Unscented exfoliating liquid which smooths out skin instantly.

In long terms helps skin look youthful and healthy.

It may cause a little burning sensation because of the high amount of ingredients

so do not forget to use spf in the mornings.

I never had or used something like this so I'm excited to try it out.

Dr. Házi anti age serum...which is Dr. Házi Edina's high tech creation.

It provides anti age effects immediately.

You said it absorbs quickly and the skin becomes smoother and more even.

And then we also have here 2 samples if I'm not wrong.

The first one is a massage candle from Barilent.

Then the other sample is...which is this...Kell a púder mineral eyeshadow.

The eyeshadows from KAP are very pigmented and are made of organic mineral ingredients only.

This is also new for me.

It's easy to work with them and we really love these shadows.

In the box you'll find the very popural neutral toned Awesome shade which looks pretty on everybody.

I'm amazed, I really am.

hey everyone

so in this video I will tell you

how to speak English with an American accent like Hollywood actresses,

or like Indonesian Youtubers like Nessie Judge, Agung Hapsah, Fathia Izzati, etc.

just some disclaimer, this isn't a personal research, but it's only a personal observation

but in this video I'm only gonna share 3 tips, otherwise it would take way too long

why do we Indonesians have an accent when we speak English?

that's because when we speak English, we're still using the rules, the sounds and way of pronunciation of Bahasa Indonesia

the first tip is the letter 'R'

so I start with this tip because this is the characteristic of an American accent that is the easiest to spot

usually Indonesians roll their Rs whenever they say something

like "Hari Rabu" (Wednesday)

but those with an American accent says 'R' with a gurgling sound

how do you achieve this sound? Your tongue must be put back behind the throat, and touches the ceiling of the mouth a little bit

for me this is the most obvious characteristic and the easiest, but it's the most vital

try to pay attention on how she said "afternoon"

she really rolled her Rs

so the Indonesian accent sounds quite prominent

now let's listen to the host when he said "Your name" and "Your real name"

and again, he also rolled his R,

and we could really hear it

"middle school in Bogor"

and now let's compare to Cinta Laura, even though she

even though she was speaking in Indonesian, her American accent is very prominent because of the gurgling R

she positions her tongue on the back of the throat when she said Bogor

so now you kinda get the difference right

so, I've never heard a native speaker who rolls their Rs

so if you roll your Rs, you'll automatically sound Indonesian

so in conclusion, the first tip is, gurgle your Rs

second tip is the letter V &letter F

for me this is also one of the biggest differences because

because in the Indonesian alphabet, the letter V is almost never used

let's see if you have a friend whose name are Vera, Devi, Vio or Arvel

any name with a V

and try to change the Vs in their name to Fs

it won't make a difference in the pronunciation

so yeah the letter V is actually useless

but in American accent, V and F are different

so the letter 'F' is more of a softer sound,

it's like, you're letting a little bit of air escape your mouth

but the letter 'V' is more of a harder sound,

make vibration in between your lips and it would feel a little ticklish

so yeah there is a difference between the 2 letters

now I'm gonna try to read this sentence in an Indonesian accent

where the difference between the letter V & F is absent

so you can hear the difference right?

so now that you kinda know the difference, try to put it into practice

and try to call your friend who has a V in their names, like DeVi or Vera,

and I'm sure 100% they're gonna call you 'Sok Bule' (Bule wannabe)

and the last tip is "glide-on words"

so the previous 2 tips, we focused on individual letters

now we move on to sentences

American speakers like to combine 2-3 words and make it sound as if it was only one word

say, there are 2 words

let's take an example

usually indonesians would say it "olif-oil"

but American speakers just combine it together

and another example, if there are 2 words, and the first word ends in a consonant

they also like to combine those

like,

so it;s like it's one word. It's like there's no space between them

let's see if I read this sentence in an Indonesian accent

but in an American accent, you wanna make them sound like they're all together

so you can kinda hear how the words are glided together right?

that's why, native American speakers

when they talk really fast, oftentimes we can't really catch what they're saying because they're combining all the words together

I'm gonna show an example

of Chelsea Islan (an Indonesian celebrity)

she speaks English really well, her grammar is good as well, good word-by-word pronunciation,

but we can still kinda hear her Indonesian accent because

there are breaks in between her words

let's see

see if you guys noticed how when she said "as well", "ex-activists", "an educational"

there are breaks in between the words

can you hear the 'in-between-words break' that Imean

it's not always the case that people with an american accent

that they always glide the words together

otherwise it wouldn't sound like anything

here I can show you an exception, when Michelle Phan said "castor oil", there was still a break in between the words

so yeah it depends on the person but,

in general, American speakers have the tendency to glide words together

this is IMO, one of the more important things that differentiate American & Indonesian accent

it's a little bit more challenging to put it into practice,

especially if you guys aren't too fluent in English yet

read articles of paragraphs in english

and give it a try to glide some words together

if you're lucky to have an opportunity to go overseas,

but for you guys who haven't gotten the opportunity to go overseas,
