We Wheel Rock You ! Episode 3: Une histoire de vin, de volcans et d'église - Duration: 10:53.
(music)
We leave Santiago at the wheel of our great 4x4 to finally begin our road-trip.
We head south along the Ruta Cinco,
the Chilean portion of Panamericana,
a gigantic road that begins in Alaska and crosses all of South America
to Tierra del Fuego.
Hi to everybody! It's our first stop
We took a break at Koyle vineyard
advised by François
He challenged us to taste the Carmener grape
(Eric's challenge)
We chose the Koyle domain which produces mainly wine
with biodynamics technique.
And we did our best to understand the explanations of the producer.
Biodynamics technique mostly allows to enhance the grape's power
and strengthen the soil's power
(music)
We did Eric's challenge, which was to taste the Carmener
So we got explained how the vineyard worked
we also visited Koyle wine vats
let's taste now
(music)
As you can guess, this is exactly the kind of challenge we like,
Olivia ended up being a little drunk
tasting everything!
After this delicious wine tasting
of Carmener (thanks to Eric)
We head down south, and our next stop will be Chillan
Where we'll spend the night before reaching Patagonia
(music)
We arrive now at Chillan,
a town where we spend the night
before heading back to the region of Los Lagos
where volcanoes, lakes and farmland await us.
It's so funny to see Heloïse wonder about what's coming next
She starts wearing her technical clothes
So she's gone sleep with het technical t-shirt and sweat-shirt
So, I just put on my technical t-shirt
And now I'm just wondering about
this cover sheet, that seems really dirty
I don't know what to do!
(music)
How will it be when in the southern cold of extreme Patagonia ...?
(music)
We stopped at Pucón, a charming town of the Los Rios area,
located between the Villarica lake and the volcano of the same name
… that we never managed to see because of a persisting cloudy sky.
(music)
We head now towards el salto Ojos de Caburgua,
with beautiful waterfalls hidden in a green landscape.
Scarcely of easy access but we did enjoy it anyway ...
(music)
Héloïse tried to catch a chicken for our dinner
... but failed.
Last stop at Playa Negra, huge black sand beach
of Caburgua lake
(where the falls starts)
that we could run windscreen at the wheel of our super car.
(music)
At nightfall we set out to find a place to sleep.
And we came across a small hostel very nice,
This is a very cool hostel
We have a living-room , a terrace,
and a kitchen where you cooked something crazy
Bolognese spaghetti: so good!
We have to cherish all of that because it's not going to last forever
We also have a new puppet:
her name si Piggy!
(music)
It's time now to leave Pucón. Even though it's been quite difficult
to see volcanoes, we were rewarded
with many rainbows in such a short timelapse.
(music)
Trying to find them...
It's not that easy even if volcanoes are huge
But we really can't find them!
Even if we did our best to see them!
(music)
Failing to see them in Pucón for lack of visibility,
we arrived in Puerto Varas with a sunny day,
which allowed us to appreciate the impregnable view of the volcanoes Osorno and Calbuco on the lake.
(music)
We are now at the banks of the lakes and the landscape is insane
Now it's getting serious
(music)
Let's go now to the island of Chiloé accessible by a ferry.
It is 200 km long and 50 km wide.
Chiloé is known for being the nest of potatoes and for its 150 churches,
for its palafitos,
colored wooden houses on stilts… and its changing weather.
Here it is like in Brittany, the sun shines several times a day.
(music)
We are hosted in a family, which also does youth hostel
They are cooking and Héloïse helps
Mirella
to prepare the crabmeat
I do it pretty much hard than the lady, much more (efficiently?)
Oh no, I'm not more efficient than her, so she is!
I'm slow and dirty...
Cheers!
Thanks for the dinner!
They won't drink wine...
Although we opened the nice bottle
from the Koyle vineyard
But I think just the two of us are going to drink it
As Heloïse doesn't drink red wine, I will drink it alone!
You veneer drink wine? Yes...
No alcohol? Sometimes but not now...
(coughs)
We use to say here: you drank beyond your limits
(laughs)
Are you her mother?
Yes, I'm Heloïse mum (laughs)
Ans she's not a good girl!
(music)
Guido, the son of Mirella (a great cook!)
in whose house we spent the night, took the time to show us
and explain the origin of the curanto,
Here we used to prepare the curanto on rainy days
and we used to cook it inside (he tells us about the traditional local dish in Chiloé)
the curanto was usually cooked there
With meat and fish?
The cholos (the local inhabitants called cholos) used to prepare the curanto
bringing crustaceans from the sea
they heated the stones
to cook all the crustaceans
but only the flesh
the flesh? Yes, only the meat
And before coming back, they used to leave the sea-shells
on the island
What is that? Look, those are sea-shells
So they used to go
And instead of bringing bags full of sea-shells
They only brought the flesh of it in big bags
ok!
(music)
As Heloïse says, we can ask for the key of the church
Cause now it's closed
But we're going to find out who holds the key to visit the church
It looks like we found the key!
Hi sir!
Hi
Is it possible to get the key to visit the church?
Nobody's there?
Sorry?
Oh, the lady isn't there
So, when...?
Later, she comes back around 2 pm
At what time?
Around 2 or 3 pm? Ok!
Thank you sir!
(music)
Thanks to Guido we visited one of the most beautiful among the 150 churches of the island
He's our hero, he found the key, so we can visit this
very beautiful church
(music)
This is the end of the 3rd episode.
We are happy to have more and more followers
It really makes us happy to share our adventures.
We are eager to show you what's coming soon.
(music)
We are at the edge of Patagonia, ready to hit the road of the "carretera austral"
One of Olivia's greatest dreams!
So far so good, till now, but we are going to play the serious game
on one of the most extreme's road worldwide
We felt some cold, but it's going to get even worse, but also the best is coming
For the following chapter...
Meet up in Patagonia, on the legendary "carretera austral"

Ecosystem: Food Chain - Duration: 3:24.
Welcome to RANA show and we are your host Andy ... and Angelica
Today is...
What are we going to be talking about today Andy?
Well Angelica today we are talking about the ecosystem
more specifically the system in which what organisms feed off of
each other in order to survive
Okay so in the food chain each organism play a specific role
Each is very important to their environment
What are some of the roles that the organisms play Andy?
For example there are producers.
Producers are organisms that can produce their own food
rather than getting it from an outside source.
For example, plants are primary producers
since they are able to do photosynthesis to produce food
They are able to turn
inorganic compounds into organic compounds
There is also another group of organisms named consumers
There are four different types of consumers:
Carnivores, Herbivores, Omnivores and Scavengers
Carnivores are organisms that eat other organisms. For example, lions and tigers are carnivores
Herbivores are organisms that eat plants like giraffes are herbivore.
Yeah, herbivores survive from eating plants.
Omnivores are organisms that eats both plant and animals.
An example of omnivores are humans.
Isn't like insects like primary consumers
Yeah. An organisms that eat insects are called secondary consumers
What are scavengers?
Scavengers are organisms that eat dead animals.
They're also called decomposers. So they get rid of dead animals by eating them?
Basically yeah
One example of them would be like fungi.
Did you know there are more than
in existence
In the food chain all organisms depend on other organisms to survive.
The different level in which what animals eat what other animals are called trophic levels.
Oh so like apex predators
They can always eat but they'll never be eaten.
Yeah since they are more powerful than the other organisms.
That kinda sucks for the animals that are being eaten
Since they always have to hide to survive
Yeah
There are two types of organisms: autotrophs (which are organisms that make their own food)
An example is bacteria.
Then there are heterotrophs (which are organisms that depend on other animals to survive)
An example of this is humans.
So how many autotrophs are there in a food chain?
At least one.
Yeah that's what keeps the whole food chain alive.
All the organisms depend on each other to survive and if one organism fails to do its duty
It brings on the whole food chain.
That's very scary.
So the animals basically you have to take on responsibility of not only keeping themselves alive
But also all the animals that depend on them.
Yeah that's a lot on their plates!!
What is a food web?
A food web is a diagram that shows how the food chain works.
So it's basically a diagram to see what animals eat what other animals.
I guess that's all for today.
We hope you enjoyed our show.
Yeah hope you guys learned something new that you can share with your friends about the food chain.
BYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!

[Eng Sub] Mike D. Angelo @ I Get English Magazine - Duration: 4:09.
Text: How fun of study language?
Actually, I like language. I like speaking to foreigners. I learn by asking.
Last time I worked in China, I went for drama shooting. I'm the only Thai on set.
I don't speak Chinese, so I speak English all the time. Sometime, they didn't understand.
I'll ask whenever they said a word. I'll pick up the word and memorize the meaning,
when I can use it and how to use it. I keep asking like this.
[Text] The Mike's secret of practice language
Beyond study, I watch movies, listen to music and radio.
The way to learn is repeat what your listening or imitating.
For example, TV is talking about weather forecast. Whatever they are speaking, we just repeat it all.
No matter it's right or wrong. It's the way to learn the accent.
We will copy by listening and repeating by following the note and tone of sound when it ups and downs.
One thing you must have in learning language is "dare" to make mistakes.
If you make mistakes, don't be ashamed to ask.
Don't be ashamed if anyone think you're stupid.
If you think like that, you will never learn anything and you will make the same mistake.
If you make a mistake, you ask and correct it, you won't make the mistake next time.
You might make another mistake which isn't the same one.
[Text] Which word represents you the most?
I like the word "Change"
because it's the word I took time to learn.
It's pronunciation. I studied and sat with my Philippino friend.
In the past, I pronounced the "Change" word like this... <Incorrect English sound>
Actually, it pronounces like an alphabet in Thai.
So, my friend taught me the correct sound. <The correct sound of "G">
I kept repeating "Change" until it's in my head.
The meaning is about changing to be better.
It's a word that... stick in my head.
Another one is "Virus"
In the past, I couldn't pronounce "V"
I pronounced "V" like a Thai alphabet which is <Incorrect English sound>
When I talked to my friend who was a English teacher in a kindergarten.
When I said "Virus", she said "No" <The correct sound of "V">
I practiced until I could pronounce it. "Virus"
It's in my head when I pronounce "V", it must be <Correct English sound>
Sometime, I use that sound in Thai words by mistake. <Thai word with English sound>
<Thai word without English sound>
<Thai word with English sound>
I mix it up sometime coz I practice many languages.
At this moment, I also practice Chinese.
[Text] Let's practice with Mike
Let's repeat after me. Read my lips.
It's like when you say "Jing Jing" < Correct English sound>
It's not like this < Incorrect English sound>
"Jing Jing" "Jing Jing" < Correct English sound>
Another word is "Virus"
<Correct English sound> It's not <Incorrect English sound>
It's <Correct English sound>
See you in the IGetEnglish magazine!!

[Eng Sub] Mike D. Angelo's Exclusive Interview @ plook magazine - Duration: 7:21.
Hi, this is Mike Pirat.
At this moment, my work in Thailand is Kiss Me
It's a remade series.
It's been remade in many versions: Taiwan, Japen and Korea.
Right now, we have Thai version. You can watch it.
I made an OST song for Kiss me series named Kiss Me.
I had a Chinese drama: The Monster Killer which was finished airing.
I have another drama will be aired.
and a movie will be on cinema. It's named Surprise!
Chinese name is <Chinese language>
In this movie, I play the role of Zhu Bajie.
If you have ever watched Journey to the west, you know the storyline.
But this version is comedy.
I play the role of funny pig.
I made up special effort.
It's a comedy movie. Please stay tuned and support.
My inspiration in singing?
At first I stepped into showbiz. It's not because I liked singing, but I thought it's fun.
After that, I fell in love with singing.
Where does my inspiration come from?
It comes from watching my favorite singers.
That makes me want to do something like that. I want to be like that.
Which singer really make me want to sing a song?
I don't have a specific one.
but I have many ones that I like their music styles, their dressing styles or their dancing styles.
I will mix those things from many ones together to be myself.
Text: Which one is your impressive concert?
Actually, it's the concert in Japan when I was young.
I'm not sure if it's before or after I debuted in Thailand. It might be before.
I had a show with Johnny Junior team in the concert.
It's fun. I met a lot of friends. I spent time with them. That time's kind of fun.
Text: The song to represent Mike?
Most songs I compose by myself. I have some messages to tell audiences or someone.
Most inspiration of the songs come from my real life.
Mostly, the song I compose come from my feelings.
Text: Give some examples of your composed songs?
It's a lot. I can't remember. All I remember the first song is "You"
Another one is "Ayo" It's about social. About love is "Laley"
Latest one is "Kiss Me" which is the OST of series but I put something from my life in the song.
Which my composed song I like most?
At this moment is Kiss Me coz my work usually is kind of neat which is difficult to listen.
Lately, I composed Kiss Me. It is my first song which is kind of girly and sweet, but some of myself in there.
From a singer to became an actor when ?
It's after Golf&Mike separation. During the time, I had a chance to play a drama as an actor.
It turned out okay. Then, I got drama more and more.
People started seeing I could perform, so I got more job.
I started to love acting and kept developing myself.
Most roles I get are a spoiled guy, a overseas graduate and a chairman.
But lately I got the roles in China, it's more variety: chicken, fox and pig.
Actually, I played many roles I wanted such as action. Even though it's not extreme action but it's still action.
The comedy role I had a chance to play it already.
I'd like to try a role of psycho which is difficult to play with a lot of inner.
It looks challenging.
Usually, working in China is different from working in Thailand.
In Thailand, it shoots a drama on Mon-Tue-Wed or another set shoots on Thu-Fri-Sat-Sun.
But shooting a drama over there, you have to move to live on set for a month or a couple months.
Working abroad have many obstacles because...
Mostly, it's about language . I can't communicate well.
When I perform, I can't consult to other casts unless I'm very closed.
That's all. The only obstacle for me is about language and culture. I need time to adjust myself.
Actually, I can't speak Chinese yet. I memorize dialogue as karaoke. Write in...
I write it down in Thai and read it. For example, nĭ hăo I will write "ni" and "hao" in Thai word.
I read and memorize the dialogue like this.
When communicate to my fans, mostly Chinese fans can speak some English.
There is no problem.
Text: The teaching from Master Vajiramedhi.
One thing the master taught me is...
When gravels get in our shoes, if we still keep it, we will get hurt ourselves.
The easy way is take the shoes off, throw the gravels away, and put on the shoes again.
It's a good quote that make me continue my life.
My idol is my father.
The Idol doesn't have to be a star. I keep watching and following him all the time.
He works. He puts a full effort in working.
He sacrifices for family. He never goes travel, hangs out with friends, or goes party,
but he is workaholic like me, like working, happy with working.
Happy when the work get accepted.
Text: The principle of working
Keep guarding. I means no matter how much I tired, I will do the best.
or more than I could do.
or do something more than expectation to show the determination.
