Bello Nock cut again on 'America's Got Talent'

Comic daredevil Bello Nock risked his life jumping around on the wheel of death Tuesday, but it wasn't enough for the Sarasota performer to advance to the semifinal round of this summer's edition of "America's Got Talent.

Nock, who had been eliminated by the judges two weeks ago after being shot out of a cannon and soaring over the whirring blades of a helicopter, was brought back for the first live audition show as a surprise wildcard choice by the four judges.

Nock's previous two appearances had been taped months ago. Judge Simon Cowell explained that after rewatching Nock's cannon stunt, the judges thought he deserved another chance to compete.

His act Tuesday night earned high praise from the judges, who sometimes hid their eyes behind their hands as Nock did backflips and leaps inside one of the rings on the spinning metal wheel of death.

He then climbed outside the contraption and did more jumps as his head neared the rafters of the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.

The judges' comments may be welcome, but he needed the support of viewers who didn't rank him among the seven acts advancing to the next round and a chance at the top prize: $1 million and the headline berth for a Las Vegas nightclub show.

As the results were revealed Wednesday, the seventh generation circus performer lost to a British brother and sister roller skating act who perform dangerous spins and lifts on a small platform.

Other advancing acts include three solo singers, a group of singing U.S. Air Force members, comedian Preacher Lawson and a young ventriloquist.

Next week, another act from Sarasota will be competing for a chance at the semifinals, the Pompeyo Family Dogs. The family, which performed with Circus Sarasota earlier this year, recently moved to Sarasota.

Big fat Greek holiday: Indulge your appetite for food and culture in beautiful Crete - Duration: 6:35.

Big fat Greek holiday: Indulge your appetite for food and culture in beautiful Crete

GORGE-OUS: Take your time with your food because the dishes keep on coming.

The classic meze, meaning appetisers or small plates, is all about sharing, savouring and, at seafront Taverna Paliria in the village of Plaka in Crete, consists of about 16 courses.

Starting with lightly battered prawns, calamari, feta salad and fresh bread with tzatziki, I did what those unaccustomed to this style of eating do on holiday – gorged.

The dishes just kept on coming – grilled octopus, anchovies, hand-cut chips, stuffed peppers, goats' cheese, seaweed parcels and beetroot dips.

Nearly two hours later and I was so full I could barely move. Another great thing about this friendly taverna is the view over Spinalonga – a tiny island that, until the late 1950s, was a leper colony.

Now free of poor, diseased folks, it's a fascinating destination for a day trip for kids and adults.

You can do what I did and have a proper tour with a guide or just clamber through the maze of ruins that were once the banished islanders' homes.

Despite Spinalonga remaining pretty much untouched since it was last inhabited, there is a small café/ bar for a quick drink before heading back to the mainland.

I used online travel agency On the Beach to book a two-night stay at the nearby five-star Mirabello Beach and Village Hotel.

An appealing mix of private apartments, airy rooms with balconies, and bungalows, it's set on a hillside overlooking the Mirabello Gulf and the pretty town of Agios Nikolaos.

BEAUTIFUL: Spinalonga was once a leper colony. It has an indoor candlelit spa pool, an infinity pool stretching the entire side of the hotel, as well as a 400-metre crescent-shaped sandy beach area with sun terrace, sunbeds and parasols.

Activities on offer include tennis, crazy golf, mini-soccer and on-site scuba diving tuition. The hotel also hosts Greek nights, barbecues and evening shows. I also stayed at the Serita Beach Hotel, a five-star all-inclusive resort in Anissaras.

Set on a sandy beach, it has a choice of luxury suites and bungalows, plus several pools with little bridges and sea views and another with waterslides.

Dining is such a pleasure here, out in the beautiful open-sided Greek, Italian and Asian restaurants set around the pool.

ISLAND HOPPING: The island is supposedly where Theseus slew the minotaur. There's also an irresistible crêpe and ice-cream bar enticing you across the water with its sweet aromas.

If you fancy getting out and about, book a cab and venture up the steep hills into Crete's miles of olive groves and vineyards.

The family-run Winery Stilianou offers tours where you'll get to see how red and rosé wines are made in giant vats before sampling them.

Meanwhile, the island's capital city Heraklion is all about the hotels and bars – where café tables spill out on to the streets as tourists and locals jostle for a shady spot under a parasol.

But just a few minutes away from the city hubbub there are some tucked-away sightseeing treasures. The Palace of Knossos (although I use the word "palace" loosely) is Crete's most-loved archaeological treasure.

It's a dusty, sprawling town of Bronze Age structures that was a massive Minoan civilisation roughly 3,000 years ago.

Its claim to fame is also that it's the setting of the ancient Greek myth, Theseus and the Minotaur, which tells the legend of a prince slaying a killer beast trapped in a labyrinth. ANCIENT: Spinalonga is full of dusty 3,000-year-old buildings.

Heraklion is small as cities go, but it is absolutely packed with excellent restaurants. Walking through the bustling streets, past locals smoking cigarettes and drinking ouzo, you'll have to bat away dozens of waiters trying to entice you into their tavernas.

One of the best places for dinner is the authentic Peskesi Restaurant with its mish-mash of tables and benches.

It serves succulent cuts of pork hanging on metal hooks, and melt-in-the-mouth lamb is smothered in dollops of goats' cheese with roasted vegetables. The eaterie's goal is reviving what it calls the "forgotten" Cretan diet.

After sampling it, I was left wondering why it was ever lost in the first place.

Fact File SEVEN nights' half-board at the five-star Mirabello Beach and Village Hotel, above, in Agios Nikolaos costs from £375 or from £526 if you stay all-inclusive.

Seven nights' all-inclusive at the five-star Serita Beach Hotel in Anissaras, including flights from airports across the UK, costs from £402. Both deals include return flights from airports across the UK. Book all packages via onthebeach.co.uk or call 0871 474 3000.

'America's Got Talent' live results 1 recap: Which 7 acts advanced to Semifinals - Duration: 4:26.

'America's Got Talent' live results 1 recap: Which 7 acts advanced to Semifinals

The first group of 12 acts performed live for the first quarterfinal stage of "America's Got Talent" on Tuesday night.

Overnight viewers voted for their favorites and Wednesday evening in the first live results show of the season only seven acts advanced to the semifinals.

Last year's champion Grace VanderWaal was also on hand for a special performance. So which acts earned enough votes to perform again in the next round? Check out our recap of the live results show below and then sound off in the comments about the night's most shocking snubs.

To kick off the results, host Tyra Banks announced that the five acts that brought in the most votes overnight would automatically advance to the semis, leaving seven in jeopardy.

But the first set of results to be revealed were the sixth, seventh and eighty place vote-getters who would be eligible for the Dunkin' Save, a live vote to take place during the rest of the show, with the most popular earning a sixth spot in the next round.

The three acts up for the Dunkin Save were Christian Guardino, Just Jerk and Yoli Mayor.

With nine acts left on stage awaiting their own fate, Tyra asked Artyon and Paige and In the Stairwell to step forward. Of those two acts, the all male a cappella group advanced while the young dancers were eliminated.

Next up were The Singing Trump, Puddles Pity Party and Preacher Lawson, with the stand up comedian Lawson named as one of the Top 5 and the two singing comedians dropped.

Then, in a break from the results, last year's winner VanderWaal took the stage with her ukulele to perform her single "Moonlight" which she also wrote.

Darci Lynne Farmer and Angelica Hale were then brought to the stage expecting to hear that only one of them would be advancing, but instead Tyra revealed that both of them were voted through straight to the semis.

That left Bello Nock and Billy and Emily England on stage to hear their own results. Based on America's votes, the final act voted into the semifinals was the sibling roller skaters while daredevil Bello was once again sent home.

The three acts up for the Dunkin' Save returned to the stage to hear the results of the live vote where only one of them would advance and the other two would be left in limbo for the judges to save.

Earlier in the evening, Christian was shown to be polling about 40% of the vote and sure enough he maintained that lead and earned the Save.

At the close of the show, torn between the Korean dance crew Just Jerk and the solo singer Yoli Mayor the judges each cast a vote.

Heidi's vote went to Yoli, Mel's went to Just Jerk, Simon's went to Yoli and Howie's went to Just Jerk. With a tie, Yoli was named the semi-finalist based on the tiebreaker of having earned more audience votes overnight.

That means the first group of semi-finalists are In the Stairwell, Preacher Lawson, Darci Lynne Farmer, Angelica Hale, Billy and Emily England, Christian Guardino and Yoli Mayor.

Next Tuesday, the second live show will help determine a new group of semi-finalists between Johnny Manuel, Light Balance, Demian Aditya, Merrick Hanna, Celine Tam, Pompeyo Family, Evie Clair, Brobots and Mandroidz, The Masqueraders, Eric Jones, Mirror Image and Mandy Harvey.

Do you think the right seven acts advanced? If not, let us know in the comments who you think should have been saved.

Miami songstress shines on 'America's Got Talent' - Duration: 3:19.

Miami songstress shines on 'America's Got Talent'

she's been described as the Cuban Adele. She's Yoli Mayor, a Miami singer who has been competing this summer on NBC's "America's Got Talent" reality show.

Early in the season, judge Simon Cowell remarked that "she could be a contender to win the whole show. But she is currently in the live quarterfinals of the show's 12th season. On Tuesday night, she belted out "Human" by RagnBone Man.

The winner of the show gets $1 million, plus bragging rights. Here are some fun facts about the Little Havana songstress who has said that Amy Winehouse, Ella Fitzgerald and Adele have inspired her musically.

First "AGT" audition: During the May 30 episode, the 21-year-old's audition impressed the judges.

She originally began singing Jay Hawkins' "I Put a Spell on You," but Cowell stopped her, saying the performance "was feeling very old-fashioned." After host Tyra Banks ran out onto the stage, loosened her hair and removed her jewelry and shoes, Mayor sang Ed Sheeran's "Make it Rain" to a standing ovation from the judges.

She received four yes votes to move onto the next round. "They made me feel more vulnerable and more comfortable," Mayor later told WTVJ-Ch. 6's midmorning show "6 in the Mix." "I was able to be me and give me.".

Early start: On the show, Mayor said she has been singing since age 2. She said she "learns everything by ear, and sings straight from the heart," according to her Facebook page.

She studied at the Academy of Arts and Minds in Miami's Coconut Grove neighborhood. At her parent's auto repair shop, she'd sing for their favorite customers.

Local acts: Mayor has been known to perform throughout South Florida, including at a recent "Late" after-hours event at the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science) and on NBC's "6 in the Mix" show.

She also has been regularly featured at El Tucán restaurant in Brickell. DJ Khaled love: After singing her version of Rihanna's "Love on the Brain" during the July 25 episode, guest judge DJ Khaled told her, "You are beautiful. Your voice is beautiful.

Album: As she competes on the reality show, Mayor is working on her album. "America's Got Talent'' airs 8 p.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays and repeats at 8 p.m. 6 in the Fort Lauderdale-Miami TV market and WPTV-Ch. 5 in West Palm Beach.

Reaching Out To The Jewish People part 1 10 19 2013 - Duration: 1:23:25.

I am so nervous today.

I feel like twenty four years ago.

I'm so nervous today that I was going to try to tell a joke to help my nerves but God said

don't tell a joke, there's nothing funny about this today.

Forgive me, I really wanted to say something funny and make you laugh because you know

me I absolutely love to laugh and I take every opportunity to laugh.

If you don't, let me highly recommend to you to laugh as much as you can because

you're going to have much opportunity to cry. We'll see.

This, what I'm going to share with you today, is built upon the foundation from last weekend.

It has been confirmed and reconfirmed and reconfirmed many times over these last couple of weeks

You know I always tell you, if you ask me how sure I am,

I always say the most sure I could be is 99% because only God is perfectly sure but

I can tell you this is about as 99% as I've ever been in twenty four years of ministry.

I think it's just very, very, very important.

I'm going to need your undivided attention today, okay?

This isn't one of those let's just have fun, this is very serious okay?

We're dealing with a very end time situation and I have watched Christians witness to my people

and I've watched them do a horrific job of it.

A lot of you are intimidated by Jewish people.

Some of you are arrogant towards Jewish people.

Both positions are really poor.

Having too much grace and having too much truth is both off base.

So I'm going to share with you what has come to be my personal, and I don't usually give you my personal opinion.

I almost never give you my personal opinion and you know that from the eighty, ninety,

a hundred verses of scriptures you get because I don't think my opinion, I'm entitled, but

I don't think it's worth anything.

To be honest with you I'm entitled, just like you're entitled but I'll be honest with you,

your opinion is not worth much.

If my opinion is not worth much clearly yours isn't either.

God's opinion is important and God's perspective is important.

I'm going to give you the Ten Commandments.

We're not going to get through ten, no way.

I don't want to rush this.

When the Holy Spirit says we're done, we're done and we'll just pick up next week.

Let me read something to you that helped confirm this all the more.

October 1st, 2013 which was just a couple of weeks ago yes, in the Tampa Tribune.

Now you know obviously Florida houses a lot of Jewish people, a ton of Jewish people.

Florida's like Jerusalem west.

Jews like to be by the beach.

They're from an area their nation is pretty much almost surrounded by water for the most part.

You've got the Mediterranean, you've got the Red Sea, you've got the Galilee and

they're very comfortable around desert-y kind of dry sunny climate.

This was in the Tampa Tribune and it was done by The Pew research.

This is Center's Religion, very highly regarded, and Public Life project.

They call it an in depth study of how American Jewish identity has changed in recent decades

and let me just read you a couple of blurbs.

A new survey of United States Jews has confirmed some of the community's worst fears. This is the Jewish community.

One in five American Jews say they have no religion, one in five, 20%.

Their ranks appear to be growing.

It's on the rise over the course of the last five decades.

Jews in this category that have no religion feel pride in being Jewish.

Do you know what that means?

When I was young when somebody asked me, I lived in a very, very multi-cultural, multi-ethnic

neighborhood and New York is a melting pot to begin with, New York City.

The Bronx is a melting pot of melting pots and the projects are the ultimate melting pot.

Okay? You can't be in more of a melting pot than a project in the Bronx in New York City.

When they used to ask kids, "What are you" kids would say, "I'm Irish, I'm Italian."

I would say "I'm Jewish."

You follow?

They were giving their nationality, why was I giving my religion?

Because Judaism really is more than a religion.

There's three major religions in the world, Judaism, Islam, and Christianity.

But we would always say I'm Jewish.

We wouldn't say German, or Irish, or what, Jewish, you follow?

Because there's something of a culture that even a Jew who is an atheist will still consider themselves a Jew.

I'll give you an example.

My wife took my daughter and a couple of friends to a mall last week, one of those big malls in Atlanta.

They went there and in those malls you'll always see some Israeli folks selling the Dead Sea products.

Has anybody ever gone to one of those malls and seen them?

Okay, they earn a very high commission so they're going to bark at you because they

make no money if they don't sell the products.

Are they good products?

Yeah, they're very good products.

Do I think they're overpriced?

I think everything is overpriced so you can't go by me.

This is a girl who most of the people that live in Tel Aviv are very secular, very secular.

Look, they just, you know, the connection with God but even secular Israeli's have some connection with God.

It's crazy, the most secular, so my wife is in a conversation with this young lady of course

and she says at one point we'll be moving to Israel and so the young lady goes,

"Really? I mean have you ever been there?"

And she said, "Yeah, about ten or eleven times."

She said, "Wow!"

She said, "We're Messianic, we believe Yeshua is the Messiah.

We believe He has come and he will come again."

We're always looking to share.

She says, "Wow" and so my wife says, "Yeah, it's really going to be hard.

It's going to have to be a miracle to get in

because they're trying to keep us out because we're evangelizing."

The girl puts her hand on my wife's shoulder and says, "Just have faith in God."

These people know about miracles more than we do.

Their whole existence is a miracle, their whole existence there.

They know that every nation wants to blow them up and every time they walk around and

a bomb doesn't go off they know it's God's hand because He says He dwells in Zion,

He lives in Zion, He's established Zion, and His fire's in Zion.

They know this. So I just want you to understand the Jewish culture because some of you will

read it in a book, that's not a great way to learn culture.

A great way to learn culture is to live with the people.

When I got to Africa I live with the people.

When I go to India I live with the people.

I don't want to learn it from Wikipedia.

I want to taste it and I want to smell it.

When you go to Israel, I always have a problem with people that start touching trees and go,

"Oh, Jesus might have touched that."

Who cares, it's a tree.

You should be touching the people that he's in love with and coming back to fight for and save.

(One person clapping) Thank you for one of you that realized that. (laughter)

Hopefully by the time we finish there'll be one more that will, just one more Lord that will be great.

Okay, "Jews in the category that have no religion feel pride in being Jewish and a strong sense

of belonging to the greater Jewish Community."

They feel tied in, but they say the connection is based mostly on culture.

Now you might say, "Wow" but let me tell you something.

There are more cultural Christians than born again Christians.

The way we get the numbers it's by church membership.

You're no more born again sitting in the pew in a church than I am a car if I get in my garage.

They say their connection is based on culture and ancestry from Jewish lineage.

Okay, my mother's Jewish, my father's Jewish, my three sisters of course are Jewish,

my three sisters married Jewish men, their children are Jewish and raised in the synagogue.

My father had a brother who never got married.

His sister of course Jewish, she married a Jewish man, her kids raised Jewish, my whole family is.

I grew up in New York City where the schools closed down for Rosh Hashanah.

They closed down for Yom Kippur.

Well over a million or two million Jews just in New York.

In fact you could be of Irish descent, Italian descent, Mexican descent,

you're going to know something about Judaism if you live in New York City,

because you live with them, you work with them, you taste their culture, you follow?

So they say that their connection is based on culture and ancestry,

not necessarily on belief in God or observance of Jewish law.

Just let me inform you when you meet a Jewish person

that does not mean that they have any connection to the Torah.

Most of them do not.

Most of them can't quote a verse in the Torah. So while you're being intimidated, you shouldn't be.

You shouldn't be arrogant but you shouldn't be intimidated, okay?

Remember Romans 11?

Don't be arrogant.

You don't support the root, the root supports you.

I'm just going to give you scripture I'm not going to give you my opinion too much.

"About one-third of Jews born after 1980 say they have no religion" One-third, one out of three.

"Compared to just 7% for those born before 1930."

It's a huge, I mean it's an astronomical increase in such a short time

for a people who have been in existence since 1400 B.C. and they've been in Israel since 1312 B.C.

Thirty three hundred years they've had a presence in Israel and in such a short time.

"Among Jews married after the year 2000 nearly six in ten, or 60% chose a non-Jewish spouse

making them less likely to raise their children Jewish.

There's no question, in fact there's a phenomenon with Jews.

They're so tired of the arduous task of doing the Feast, they're so tired of the fast on Yom Kippur,

they're so tired of all those tasks that when they meet Yeshuah they run to the church.

Because the church is easy. You dance, you sing, and you celebrate two holidays. Right?

You won't find those two holidays in the Bible mind you.

Constantine would be proud of you, but it's not the gospel according to Constantine is it?

If you do a little research you're going to be blown away but most won't

because you don't want me to spoil your holiday.

It's yours all right but it ain't God's. Make no mistake.

Just a little research, this much, just that much...

I hate to see Jews running into the church because they're losing their identification

and they're going against the word of God.

The word of God says there has to be an identifiable remnant.

There's only three ways you can tell a Jew. Only three ways.

Circumcision, now everybody's getting circumcised because we realize there's a health risk.

There's an incredible health risk and we also realize

that the blood clotting factor of the human being is strongest on the eighth day, go figure.

Maybe God knew something about the human being, you know what I mean?

I'm just spit balling here.

Kashrut, true religious Jews don't eat shellfish, they don't eat pork.

I don't eat that way.

I'm a Jew. I want to be identified as such.

They worship on Shabbat.

That's how you know but if I'm going to be a pork-eating, Sunday worshiping,

and as far as circumcision that's just my business, you know what I'm saying?

Then I lose my identification, I'm going against God's mandate for me, you follow?

When they marry non-Jewish spouses they're going to lose it because it's more fun.

Look, you know how bad I wanted to be on my block, if you read the book you'll see that,

in the 70's Jews started making a lot of money so they left the Bronx, they left the projects.

First of all there weren't that many Jews in the projects to begin with

because they were already becoming affluent in the 70's.

Jews absolutely want their sons to be doctors.

You can be a doctor. If you're not smart enough to go to medical school

you can get away with being an attorney. (Laughter)

and if you're mentally challenged, an accountant, but that's as low as we'll take it.

That's as low as we'll take it. I became an accountant.

Education is everything.

Now the world is realizing how important education is.

That was the push, the push wasn't athletics.

We knew the chance of becoming a professional athlete was slim to none.

You want to play a little sports, play a little sports, but not until you do your schoolwork.

They became very affluent. They were bright, they were hard workers.

They didn't ask for anything.

They came here post-holocaust with nothing, nobody gave them a handout.

The government didn't give them anything.

They went to the free school system that the United States so wonderfully provides for all

and they applied themselves, go figure.

They got good grades then they went to college on scholastic scholarships and then they applied

themselves in schools and then they got wonderful jobs.

Everybody says Jews have all the money.

No idiot, they went to school.

Nobody's going to give you a handout.

My father used to say, "You know about luck kid?

The harder I work the luckier I get. That's luck."

They all left a so all that was left was a few octogenarians, a few Jews in their eighties

because they were on a fixed income.

All the other Jews left. So I was amongst all non Jewish people, and on Hanukkah I'd have this little menorah,

this little nine branch candlestick, this little nothing little menorah in my window,

and my friends had these humongous trees with lights, and angels, and trains, and gifts!

You know, I was spinning a little top and they were getting Harley Davidson's for Christmas for God's sake.

I was jealous, you know, on our feast sometimes we got to fast, you guys eat to your hearts content.

All the anti-semantic slurs I heard from all the kids in the neighborhood.

In the Bronx it was the Catholic Church or the little synagogue.

The synagogue was this big, the Catholic church took up a city block.

Sadly enough there was a lot of anti-Semitism that slipped into even the religion.

Up until 1959 in the Good Friday Prayer

for fourteen hundred years the people said, and you can check this out

you can actually see the real prayer, forgive the perfidious Jews.

You know what perfidious means? The snake in the grass, treacherous, faithless, deceptive, Jews.

Don't you think that's going to add to some anti-semantic overtone?

People are saying this for fourteen hundred years.

That led to the crusades. It led to the pogroms. It led to the holocaust.

Not that alone, other things, but so sad for a people who brought salvation to the world,

So sad.

Many of these Jewish girls marry non-Jews, over 60%, and then they're free, they're free.

The survey confirmed that liberal reformed Judaism, which is, golly, liberal with a capital L.

I don't even want to go into that but it's the largest movement within American Jewish life.

Well guess what?

American Christianity is also becoming liberal.

Nobody speaks about sin, nobody speaks about repentance, nobody speaks about the blood,

It's just, "Look, we're here to bless you, just be blessed."

What program would you like, what would you like to sign up, we've got a free gift for you.

We have a CD and a pen with our stupid name on it.

That's so lame, it's like so lame.

You know what, don't give me a pen, give me the power of the Holy Spirit and I'll stay. (clapping)

Some lady wrote in to us, she's, I'm not going to tell you what state and of course I won't

tell you her name, but she said that her former church that she tried to go back to they were

trying to get members so they're giving away an IPod.

Is this what it's come to?

She said she went to see, she said she threw up.

"About 18% of Jews say they belong to the Centrist Conservative movement."

There's a lot of Hebrew involved it's semi-Torah observant.

It's not liberal but it's not orthodox.

Those are the three major movements in Judaism.

There's about forty believe it or not but most of them are small.

You've got liberal, reformed, you've got conservative and then you've got orthodox.

"18% of Jews say they belong to the conservative,"

"10%," so it's dwindling, "of US Jews say they belong to the strict orthodox movement,"

which is Torah, commandments, we've got to obey the commandments of God.

"However large percentages of Jews do not affiliate with any branch of Judaism."

"40% of Jews under the age of thirty, 33% of Jews in their thirties and forties" so you see what's happening?

The younger generation is walking away.

Don't you see that in the younger generation in all faiths, whether it's Islam, whether it's Christianity?

Kids go to the youth and they come, then they go to college and

before you know it they're involved in a bisexual relationship and smoking pot and

you know, saying "Is God real?" and you say to yourself, "How did that happen to my kid?"

Maybe you didn't train them up in the way they should go.

You were depending on the church. You shouldn't depend on the church.

This is your vitamin, you are their primary nutrition.

I don't depend on you to raise them and I don't depend on Beth Yeshua to raise them. I do.

Now, with that being said you obviously realize where I'm going.

Although we are less than two-tenths of 1% of the people, you realize that?

99.8% of the world's population is non- Jewish.

How can God be so concerned, two-tenths of 1%, that's minuscule, that's nothing, nothing,

and half of them are living in Israel.

So why am I wasting my time talking to you about this

and saying, "Look, I would like for you to look out for Jewish people."

Because I think it's absolutely coming and I want to prepare you for it.

The set time for Israel has come and they're going to come.

You're going to have divine appointments whether they are family members,

whether they're a boyfriend of your daughter, whether they're a doctor

and there are things you should never say and there are things you have to say.

This is not an exhaustive list and I'm not the guru of how to deal with Jewish people

but I think I've been Jewish for pretty much most of my life (laughter) and I want to help you.

That's all I want to do. And if it's not usable to you, you just have to give me one ear,

let it in, check the word, check with the Ruach, check with the Spirit of God

and if it doesn't resonate let it go.

This is not the gospel according to Greg Hershberg but there are things I think I've learned

and I want to share them with you okay? Is that fair?

Just looking at the book of Acts a little bit, looking at Acts 13.

This is when Sha'ul... and his name was Saul and/or Paul.

Even though people say well he changed his name, can you show me a verse?

It's rhetorical; you're not going to be able to.

It's just something that people have said for years.

He had two names. He was a Roman citizen.

Just like when I go to Nicaragua and when I go to Argentina, I'm Rabino Goshito.

That's what they call me because they speak Spanish.

He was a Roman citizen in Tarsus so in that citizenship his name was Paul,

but he was a Jew and his name was Saul.

It wasn't like Saul's bad and Paul's good. It's the same person, you follow?

Yeshua and Jesus is the same person.

I call him Yeshua because he's a Jew and I share with Jewish people I want them to realize,

He wasn't a Jew and had a conversion to become a Methodist. He's still Jewish.

This is his first journey, okay?

They laid hands on him and they sent him out and this is his first journey, it was a short journey.

He had three journeys.

He was an ambassador, he was an emissary, he brought the gospel to the world.

He was the apostle to the Gentiles.

Kepha, Shim'on Kepha, Peter was the apostle to the Jews.

He was called to share the gospel with the world and this is the first of his journey.

It says, "Having set sail from Paphos" which just to give you a little.. (Reading from Acts 13:13)

You know the Island of Cyprus? It's part of Greece.

Paphos was the west coast of Cyprus, that's all, and he's going from Paphos.

"Sha'ul and his companions arrived at Perga and Pamphylia" which is about northwest.

So he's going northwest from the west coast of Cyprus, okay?

"There Yochanan left them and returned to Jerusalem," so John leaves.

He leaves them to go back to Jerusalem to the congregation in Jerusalem.

"but the others went on from Perga to Pisidian Antioch," which is a hundred miles north,

"and on Shabbat they went into the synagogue"

There is no "church building" anywhere.

You've got Jews, you've got proselytes to Jews, which the Bible calls either God fearers,

different terms they use.

You've got proselytes to Judaism, like the whole Bible is written by Jews except one

person was born non-Jewish and that was Luke, but he was a proselyte to Judaism.

He was a convert to Judaism, that's how he became a doctor. (laughter)

So he goes into the synagogue, ok? And I'm just going to go through this fairly quick because

I'm just trying to lay a little bit of a foundation.

"In Iconium," so he travels now southeast, "the same thing happened" (Reading Acts 14)

"they went into the synagogue and spoke in such a way that a large number of both Jews and Greeks,"

It depends on which version you read, but you're going to see Jews and converts to Judaism.

These weren't non-believers because you've got to realize back in this first century

non-Jews were (hiss) with a capital H. Okay? They're having intercourse with multiple partners,

if you read Leviticus you'll find out why God kicked the Canaanites out.

He didn't arbitrarily, God wouldn't do that guys.

You have to know this, you've got to read your Bible, it's right there.

He didn't just kick out a people and say, "Come on Hebrews, occupy the land."

He kicked them out because they would not repent, they were doing detestable things.

It says so in Leviticus.

Most people don't even know this. So if somebody comes to you, a non-believer, and says

"I can't believe God just, you know, that's almost like apartheid, he just put those people there."

No, negative, God does nothing arbitrary, nothing!

There's no curse without a cause!

Don't think anything's arbitrary! Nothing is arbitrary! Nothing is arbitrary!

Everything that is done by God is extremely detailed, and extremely well thought out,

and extremely purposed and... everything whether we understand it or not.

He goes and he's speaking to Jews, God-fearers, and proselytes to Jews, God-fearers who, see - Greeks, came to trust.

Moving on, "After passing through Amphipolis and Apollonia," (Reading Acts 17)

So now he's going, he leaves Philippi, and he's traveling thirty three miles southwest.

So he's making his round, he's making a circle.

And Sha'ul and Sila, Silas because he had a little problem with Barnabas sadly enough.

They weren't getting along because Barnabas wanted to bring John Mark.

John Mark aborted the mission before and he said this is very serious.

You see how crucial it is, not to just suck up to people because they have money

or they have power or because they have a friend.

He wouldn't suck up to Barnabas because Barnabas was wrong.

He was wrong about it.

He says, "Look this is my cousin, I mean my Aunt will go crazy."

I don't care about your Aunt, your Grandmother. No offense, I care about them,

but I care more about my Father.

If you are not concerned about offending God,

you're not going to offend people but you're going to offend Him,

and when you're looking to not offend Him you're going to offend people,

but that's part of the process.

You have to be offended and cut to the heart otherwise there'll be no change.

There has to be some offense but instead of being mad, repent and get changed!

So he goes "to Thessalonica, where there was a synagogue." Go figure.

There's Jews everywhere in Asia Minor and in what we know as Greece.

Achaea is southern Greece. Macedonia, when you see it in your Bible, is northern Greece, today.

"According to his usual practice, Sha'ul went in;" (Reading from Acts 17:2)

First of all, you've got to realize something.

He could not go into a synagogue unless everybody knew: that's a Jew. You follow?

They wouldn't let a non-Jew in..

So obviously Sha'ul, Saul/Paul, had a great reputation, not being a Jew, but a Jew's Jew.

You think I'm going to let somebody walk in here and just start preaching?

I don't even know what the guy's going to say.

Well the Holy Spirit fell on him. Yeah, okay. He feels led, yeah.

Listen to me I've been doing this a long time okay?

I've been at meetings, I was at a meeting here one time in Macon where they were having a unity meeting,

and I don't even know if some of you were there,

and a lady came in and she just said, "Can I have the mike?" to the pastor.

The pastor looked at me and I said (shakes head no) but he wanted to be a nice guy.

He gave her the mike.

You have no idea what this lady said.

It was so demonic and so awful, and then they had to grab it. It was horrible. So much for the unity meeting.

He thought, you know, let's have unity.

Yeah, I like to have unity with strong believers, and non-believers I share the gospel with.

But look, are you going to let just anybody watch your kids?

Well you're my kids! I'm not going to let just anybody speak into your life.

Call me protective okay?

Don't call me overprotective; it's just being a shepherd. It's doing the right thing.

"Sha'ul went in; and on three Shabbats he gave them drashes" (Reading Acts 17:2)

He explained the scriptures, he opened the scriptures to them.

He explained, he interpreted the scripture. That's what a drash is.

"from the Tanakh," Tanakh is an acronym. (Reading Acts 17:2)

The Torah, the Neviim, and the Ketuvim, that's how you get Tanakh.

The Torah, the first five books of the Bible, the Neviim, the prophets, and the writings,

the whole Old Testament.

Why didn't he speak from Colossians? Because it wasn't written yet.

Why didn't he speak from John? Because it wasn't written yet!

And if it was you know the printing press wasn't around, nor the internet.

He didn't have access to it.

You don't even need access to it.

If you can't show the gospel in the Tanakh then you need more study.

"explaining and proving," Explaining and proving, be ready to give a defense. (Reading Acts 17:3)

Well, the Bible's the word of God.

How do you know? Because it is, you know that.

Listen how long have you been a believer?

You have no Bibliographical evidence, no archaeological evidence, no scholarship, no internal-external evidence?

What have you got? 'Well, it's all about faith.' Oh yeah?

It says set apart Messiah in your heart. Always prepare to give a defense for the word that's in you. (in 1 Peter 3:15)

That's what my Bible says.

Hallelujah!

We go an inch deep and a mile wide in the body of Messiah.

I'm not saying you've got to be a scholar but

clearly you should be able to defend the Word of God a little bit.

Well God said it and that settles it. Nice bumper sticker. Lame!

When you're dealing with people about the faith that's lame.

They can support their books really well.

He explained and proved this, "that (the) Messiah had to suffer (and) rise again from the dead," (Acts 17:3)

and "that 'this Yeshua whom I am proclaiming to you is the Messiah.'" (Acts 17:3)

Stay on target. You follow what I'm saying?

This is what people need to know first and foremost.

Sha'ul said, "I delivered to you [what's] of first importance" 1 Corinthians 15 - This is what he said.

There's other things in the important column,

but you've got to start with the foundational important thing which is that.

Now, do I think you should say that to a Jewish person coming out of the gate?

No, it doesn't work. It doesn't work with anybody.

The only time you'll get somebody to come to faith like that is if the fruit is ripe

because somebody has already cultivated the heart and you're just picking it.

You didn't do any work, you didn't do any magic.

"I led them," you led nobody.

The last I read is God said if you lift them up I'll draw.

He drew, he led, he put the words in your mouth.

Listen, I don't believe in scripts and I don't believe in formulas.

When I see people work with formulas I want to throw up.

Don't give me four spiritual laws. Don't give me three pillars, seven, don't. Don't.

Because I know what Yeshua told his disciples when he sent them out.

They said, "We don't know what to say."

He said, "Don't worry the Holy Spirit will put the words in your mouth."

I still believe in that.

I'll give you a very short story.

This is the way I operate, I just operate with the Holy Spirit, that's the way I operate.

Period, end of story.

I've seen people go to evangelism schools two, three, four times over and they leave no bigger faith.

It's so doctrinal and so fundamental and so religious that it lacks any passionate flavor.

You know, not for nothing, I'll eat a chicken cutlet boiled in water but I prefer some sauce.

You follow what I'm saying? You hear what I'm saying?

Bernadette and I went to look for a car here in Macon.

I'm leaving and the Holy Spirit says, "Take a hundred dollars with you."

I don't ask, okay? I get a hundred dollar bill, go.

When we get into the dealership he says, "Give it to that girl."

I go up to her and I say, "Here, the Holy Spirit wants me to give it to you."

She starts bawling, husband just lost a job, she's praying for a little blessing.

Her father's a pastor. She walked away from the Lord. That was enough.

That was enough to tell her that the Lord is real.

Then we go to drive a car with a young man.

You know, really good looking, like, twenty two year old kid, well built, looks like he has the world by a string.

He's selling cars, he's partying, he's doing his thing.

So I'm driving, the Holy Spirit says, "Tell him I'm real."

"Tell him I'm real."

He's driving he asked me, what do I think of the car.

I said, "It's nice but I would feel horrible if I don't say this to you."

"Now I could be wrong, I don't know, but I'm not going to be able to leave this car until I tell you this."

He said, "What is it?" I said, "God wants you to know that he's real."

He pulls over the car and starts bawling.

Then he gets his composure and he says, "I have a friend in Las Vegas, he's twenty one years old."

"His father owns the biggest paving and construction company in Las Vegas."

"He's a multi-mega millionaire, he lives in a multi-mega million dollar mansion and he hung himself yesterday."

"And last night when I went to bed I laid at my bed and said, God, if you're real tell me."

What I'm saying is that will work better than, "Do you know where you'd be tomorrow if you died?"

Yeah, I'd be in a funeral home.

I'm not bragging about my evangelism prowess, I'm bragging about the God we serve.

Do you really think I have the ability to know to bring a hundred dollars and know to say that?

Nobody has that ability, nobody.

Only God has that ability.

"But as soon as night fell, the brothers sent Sha'ul and Sila off to Berea." (Reading Acts 17:10)

"As soon as they arrived, they went to the synagogue."

"Now the people here were of nobler character than the ones in Thessalonica;" (Reading Acts 17:11)

"they eagerly welcomed the message" but they checked it.

See, Berean means, in the Greek, it means well-watered.

They were watering the ground of their heart with the word of God,

and they wanted to make sure that what they heard...

Some of you hear things from a pastor and you just- Right?

"The lion will lay down with the lamb!" It does not say that in Isaiah 11.

It says the wolf will lay down with the lamb.

"Three wise men came." Really?

My Bible says wise men. I don't know if there was three or three hundred and three.

"Eve ate an apple."

No, it was called forbidden fruit, I don't know if it was an apple tree.

You follow what I'm saying?

Check the word man. Don't listen to me. You're crazy.

They welcomed it and they checked the Tanakh. (See Acts 17:11)

Obviously that's all they had, the Old Testament, right? Let's keep going.

"While Sha'ul was waiting for them in Athens, his spirit within him was disturbed" (Reading Acts 17:16)

"at the sight of the city full of idols."

It broke his heart. I mean, he was a Jew who became a believer in Yeshua as the Messiah,

but as a Jew, you know, the Jews brought monotheism to the world; that there's one God.

The Jews brought monotheism to the world, so when he saw these idols it broke his heart.

If he was here today, not here but in America, it would break his heart too.

We have the idols they're just not totem poles.

"So he began holding discussions in the synagogue with the Jews and the 'God-fearers'" (Acts 17:17)

Again, non-Jews who were proselytized to Judaism, converts to Judaism.

"and in the market square" (Acts 17:17)

See he didn't go... he went to the synagogue because he went after the Jewish people.

He was always going to the synagogue, always going after the Jewish people.

Jewish people, Jewish people, Jewish people... even though he was an apostle to the Gentiles.

And then he spoke about it in the square, in the market place, in the school. It didn't matter.

He didn't need to bring them, "Hey can you come to the synagogue so I can talk to you about God?"

"Well I can't make it there this week." "Okay."

"After this, Sha'ul left Athens and went to Corinth," (Acts 18:1)

That's southern Greece, and then he went west coast of Asia Minor.

"Sha'ul also began carrying on discussions every Shabbat in the synagogue, where he tried to convince both Jews and" ... proselytes to Judaism. (Acts 18:4)

Just two more verses I think, sorry.

"They came to Ephesus, and he left them there; but he himself went into the synagogue." (Acts 18:19)

This was a big port city.

He went into the port cities because first of all he traveled by boat,

but secondly that's where most of the people were.

When you have port cities what do you have? You have commerce. When you have commerce you have money.

When you have money you have prostitution, you have nightclubs, you have everything.

You have the best restaurants.

People with money want to eat the best. They want the best entertainment.

So he was going after them.

He was going after the most populated regions.

"And [he] held dialogue with the Jews." (Acts 18:19)

"While Apollos was in Corinth, Sha'ul completed his travels through the inland country" (Acts 19:1)

"and arrived at Ephesus, where he found the few talmidim." (Acts 19:1) a few students, a few believers in Yeshua,

"Sha'ul went into the synagogue; and for three months" (Acts 19:8)

You see this is my problem. People do this drive by evangelism.

Drive by, you know, throw a quick word.

Yeshua said in Matthew 10, hang out with them, go to their houses, eat with them then share.

Do you remember... some of you will are, I don't want to say old-timers that might be derogatory,

seasoned? That's way too politically correct for me.

Some of you are old (laughter) and you remember in days gone by when you bought a car,

you looked at the character of the salesperson.

Now the guy could be an ax murderer, and if you save fifty bucks you'll buy the car.

Everything's changed. That's how Wal-Mart came into being.

You had a guy who knew your family at the hardware store, he knew everything about you.

The guys in my neighborhood knew my whole family.

If my father was sick or my mother was sick, Ben at the hardware store would say,

"How is your dad doing?"

My dad would be damned, if he was alive today, going into Wal-Mart.

He'd be like "Screw them and the five cents they save you. This guy cares about me."

Principle!

And so we gave that up sadly enough. We shot ourselves in the foot to save a buck.

Sad, but years ago you were concerned about the person's character.

When Bill Clinton was in office and did the detestable things he did we were okay. You know why?

Because the economy was doing great, that's why.

If that economy wasn't doing great we would have kicked him out so quick.

You know how he got impeached?

I'll tell you. When he told [Ariel] Sharon when he came to visit him he said, "I'm not having lunch with you."

He said, "I've got no time for you."

He was the first president to sign what's called the Oslo II agreement in 1995 that said Land for Peace.

He put it in writing.

The first president in US history that said, "Israel should give up their land."

When he signed that agreement, a day later, the Monica Lewinsky scandal came out.

When he told Sharon to take a hike seven articles of impeachment went against him.

You think that's coincidental? I think God is God. That's what I think. (Clapping)

Do I have anything against him personally? I don't know the man.

I can't disparage him but I can tell you that what he did.. if the economy was bad...

I'm making an example that we bought into him because we were making money.

"Sha'ul went into the synagogue;" (Acts 19:8) Three months! Take time!

You've got to build relationship!

I let them fall in love with me, then they fall in love with my God.

You follow?

It's not a drive by, you're dealing with eternity!

You're dealing with someone's soul! Give them a little more respect than that for God's sake.

It takes time! Time, right?

That's a commodity we don't want to give up so easy.

I'm too busy. I'm too busy, I've got too much going on.

I don't have time to share with you and make a relationship.

Then you know what? Don't be a Christian.

Because Yeshua told his disciples: You want to follow me? Deny yourself.

Out of the gate, that was before he died.

Pick up your cross you're going to suffer a bit.

You're going to be mocked, you're going to be ridiculed, some people won't even like you.

I'm glad I got that card at the beginning of this, you know what I mean?

It might of been a little lighter had I waited until the end.

Look at Romans 1:16. This is the letter written to Gentile believers.

You have to know who the letter is written to.

If you read the beginning of the letter you'll know who it's from and who it's written to.

Very important, you've got to know the audience it's written to, so you can understand the letter.

It has to be in its context.

He's writing to Gentiles or non-biological Jewish, or whatever word you want to use,

but non-Jewish people who believe in Yeshua.

He says, "I'm not ashamed of the Good News."

Now you know this man was not ashamed of the Good News.

What made him such a lunatic for God?

He was a lunatic for God, he was absolutely obsessed.

He was an obsessed guy.

He had a few things going for him.

If some people here... even Jewish people know about him.

What do you know about Saul of Tarsus?

One he was extremely intelligent, so intelligent that he had to try hard to make it simple

so people could understand.

You know how many people were chosen to learn out of the Ecclesiastical schools in Jerusalem

from around the Diaspora?

Listen, you've got to better chance today of getting into Harvard, okay, with a 3-0 index

than you do to come to Jerusalem to study with the great Rabbis.

They only picked a few, he was of the Intelligentsia.

Peter says that he's so hard to understand that anybody who's unstable in the scripture,

which is the bulk of people sadly enough. Not too many people know Greek and Hebrew.

They say they destroy what he says, as they do the rest of the scriptures.

It's right in the letter. Peter said it, I didn't say it.

He was brilliant... brilliant. He was a Jew's Jew.

If you check Acts 25, Acts 23, Acts 27, it says, "I am a Pharisee."

He's brought up on charges and he's sitting there and they're interrogating him.

He didn't say, "I was a Pharisee."

What does that mean?

Because you've been told the Pharisees were bad, not all Pharisees were bad!

Pharisees were the separated ones, they were the ones that were trying to be consecrated.

They were the ones that were trying to be holy.

Yes, they didn't realize that they had some sin issues, and yes they were a little holier than though.

And yes they were arrogant but they were trying to live holy.

That's why Yeshua says in Matthew 23, what they say to do, do it!

Unless your righteousness is greater than that of the Pharisees you won't enter into the kingdom of heaven. (see Matthew 5:20)

Look, you've been, sadly enough, marinated in something that began maybe in the 1900's or the 1800's,

but something happened way before that, and sometimes it's hard to unlearn things,

and I'm not saying I've got it all figure out guys. No way.

But there is some stuff that's been put out there by people of God that is just

dead wrong and not in the Bible.

If we're all going to say "kumbaya" and say that we believe in the Word of God then quote chapter and verse.

Don't tell me your opinion, don't tell me your revelation.

He says to them, "I'm not ashamed of it." So you've got this brilliant guy.

You've got this Jew's Jew and what else do we know about him?

He's a dynamo.

Why is he a dynamo? Because he's killing believers in Yeshua. He's killing them!

Stephen who made Yeshua stand, you believe that?

Yeshua is seated at the right hand of the Father.

You've got thirty one thousand one hundred and three sentences in the Bible,

one sentence where it says Yeshua's standing. (Acts 7:55)

He brought Yeshua to his feet! Stephen, the great apostle,

because as they're pelting him with rocks and his lungs are filling up with blood and he's dying,

he says, "Father forgive them" and he meant it. (Acts 7:60)

He was like Yeshua at that point.

That's why Yeshua went, hold on, living creatures, time-out.

What the heck is that? He's just like me.

He saw the glory, he said, "I saw Yeshua standing." That's the glory of God,

and Sha'ul took the hit on that guy. (Acts 7:58 - 8:1)

He said, "Take him out."

He was the head of that, that mob.

They laid the clothes before him as a trophy.

And when Yeshua knocked him off his horse and he realized, "I'm persecuting the Messiah. (Acts 9:3-5)

The one I'm waiting for I'm persecuting."

What do you think he thought?

"Please kill me." He wanted to die, he couldn't face him!

He couldn't look up, he couldn't go back to Jerusalem.

He couldn't deal with it. He's like, "Kill me! Kill me!"

If you saw the glory of God you'd say, "Kill me."

It's Biblical.

Did Isaiah not see the glory of God and say..? (Isaiah 6:5) Isaiah! A prophet of prophets from royal line!

The greatest prophecies every given in the Bible about the birth of Messiah and the prophet

says, "My lips are dirty, burn my lips with some, burn them."

Have your little holy hallelujah parties, knock yourself out.

Where is the reverence for God's sakes?!

He says, "Kill me! Kill me, please!"

And Yeshua says, "Look up." He can't look up. "Look up."

I can picture him taking his chin and holding it up and looking right into his eyes and

he says to him, "I love you, I forgive you and you're going to be my emissary.

You're going to tell the world about me, you're going to do great exploits in my name."

He could care less about being a martyr, he was on fire! But you know what you don't know about Sha'ul?

You know that he's brilliant, you know that he's Jewish, you know that he has prowess,

but you know what people don't know?

The greatest thing about him was he had a heart for people.

When you don't know somebody, that's what you miss.

You see them in the pulpit you think, "Oh what a spiritual dynamo,"

but you don't see them crying every day for the souls of the lost.

He says, "I'm bringing salvation to everyone who keeps on trusting, to the Jew especially

but equally to the Gentiles." (Reading Romans 1:16)

Some of your versions say to the Jew first, did that scripture go away?

Some commentators say, "Yeah it did." Who said?

Who are they to say yeah, that's not important anymore?

"It was a dispensation."

Dispensation my eye! The Lord is the same yesterday, today and forever. How's that for your dispensation?

How may times have we flown over Israel to every other country and not shared with them?

It's a mistake, a mistake.

This is the time. Isaiah 62:11 says it's a prophetic time.

"Adonai has proclaimed to the end of the earth, 'Say to the daughter of Tziyon'" (Isaiah 62:11)

the daughter of Zion, the Jewish people,

"'Here, your salvation is coming!" (Isaiah 62:11) Yeshua's coming! You've got to tell them, He's coming!

They know that he's coming! The Orthodox Jews know!

They're praying for his return more than the believers in America are,

but you've got to tell them He's coming but it's His second advent.

The Talmud teaches it. I'll get into it more.

The Talmud teaches there would be two appearances of Messiah,

Moshiach ben-Yosef, Moshiach ben-David, the suffering servant and the conquering king.

They know it.

Tell [audio cuts out 00:50:19] you've got to know it, you can share with them on their terms.

Paul said, "To the Jew I was a..." (1 Corinthians 9:20) If it works for him it works for us.

You don't have to reinvent anything.

The power of the spirit works phenomenally well mixed with the word of God.

When you take the word of God and you inject it with the Holy Spirit it is explosive!

It explodes!

The Holy Spirit without the word of God, it's a circus.

The word of God without the Holy Spirit, it's a cemetery.

He's coming and His reward is with Him, His recompense. He's going to pay you back for all your suffering. (Isaiah 62:11, Revelation 22:12)

It's beautiful, it's time. This is the time!

The time of the Gentiles is coming to a close. Not that the Gentiles won't be saved,

and not that you shouldn't share with them, but I'm telling you, God is turning this thing onto the Jews.

This is the last revival!

Something is about to happen, big, and I want my people to be ready for it!

Can we stop it, can we bring it? No, it's coming, nobody's going to stop it!

Nobody's going to bring it, but I want you to be prepared!

Holy Toledo!

That was just the intro, Holy Toledo.

Okay, I'm only going to share one or two things.

I just don't want to- I'm only going to share one or two things. There's a reason.

I know some of you would sit here all day and some of you have wanted to go for the last half hour,

but nevertheless.

Look, like I told you, I know a lot of Jews, I know a ton of Jews.

Now some of you, just by a show of hands, does anybody here, whether it's a Jewish doctor

or a Jewish relative, anybody know a Jew?

Okay, so look around so you know.

Now some of you don't but I'm telling you after today you will.

I'm going to start praying for divine appointments and you're going to be very surprised.

You're going to be surprised.

Now are Jews more important than non-Jews? No.

But I'm telling you the set time has come for the Jewish people,

and because not too many of you will hear this other places, why?

Not that they're wrong, not that the church is wrong, I don't want to go there anymore ever, okay?

I know the call that we have at Beth Yeshua and I want to fulfill that call.

The call at Mabel White, the call at every Engleside, the call at United Methodist,

whatever their vision is that God has cast for them, that's their business.

I applaud them to walk out their vision.

It's not for me to judge it, it's not for me to analyze it, it's not even for me to understand it.

I'm the gatekeeper of this house and this is the house I have to focus on.

Don't ask me about other people's ministry, I'm not concerned.

I'm not the Messiah's police, you're blessed by the ministry knock yourself out.

You're going to do what you want anyway.

You're going to watch what you want to watch, you're going to go where you want to go,

and you are free to do that!

If you're being blessed, beautiful.

I'm responsible for this house not that house, you follow?

If I focus on that house instead of this house, this will become an outhouse,

and I'm not going to let that happen, okay? I'm on a mission.

Now this will be my top ten list. Maybe I'll just do one, I don't know. But this is number one.

1. A Jew doesn't have to be converted.

What do you mean? I'm going to show you what I mean.

Look at John 1:11-13, it says, "He came to his own homeland," Who's he?

The verse before says He was full of grace and truth, right?

The verses before that talk about He was the light of the world.

"He came to his own homeland." (John 1:11)

Where was He born?

In Beth-Lehem, Beth-Lehem, the house of bread. The bread of life born in the house of bread,

and He comes to His own homeland.

He's in Israel. He lives in Israel by the way.

His title, just for the record, is not King of the Baptist, it's King of the Jews.

It's King of Israel, not King of Rome, or Wittenberg, or Macon.

He has kingship here because He has full authority.

All authority in heaven and earth has been given to Him, but this is his residence.

This is His title, and when He ascended He wasn't converted.

"He came to His own homeland, yet His own people" (John 1:11) ... overall...

Some people will say, "Well the Jews didn't believe." That's an idiotic statement.

There were twelve Jews who believed very strongly, they're called the Talmudin, or the Disciples.

There was a Jew who became an apostle, Sha'ul or Saul of Tarsus.

By the way, just for the record, remember Pentecost, Acts 2, the three thousand that came?

Do you think that heathens that are worshiping totem poles

are going to come to Jerusalem to celebrate Shavu'ot?

What do you think those three thousand were?

Then the five thousand in Acts 3, and then the tens of thousands in Acts 21,

that says they were zealous for the Torah.

Guys, when you say the Jews didn't believe you make yourself into an ignoramus.

Sorry, but you've got to change your talk because it doesn't line up with the Word of God,

and God's not going to anoint that.

"But to as many as did receive him" (John 1:12)

Does this talk about giving something up or taking something in?

Think about it.

Was Judaism the problem?

When Jesus went to the cross did he say, "I'm going to the cross for Judaism?

I'm going to nail Judaism to the cross?"

Guys Judaism is the Ten Commandments.

I'm not talking about Talmudic Judaism, I'm not talking about Rabbinic Judaism,

I'm not talking about traditional Judaism, I'm not talking about Liberal or Conservative or Orthodox Judaism.

I'm talking about Biblical Judaism.

A Yehuda is a praise-er of God.

The way you praise God is by obeying his commandments, period, end of story.

There is no other way to praise God.

Praising God isn't singing a song, praising God isn't praying and interceding for hours, or fasting.

Praising God is obeying.

If he says to fast for days or weeks or forty days, then do it because that's obeying him,

but you can't praise him anymore than obeying his commands, period.

If my kids want to praise me they obey my commands, period.

The other day I was at the ball park and some lady's trying to get her kid to come,

and he's like, "Wait, no, wait" all this..

and I said, "Max come here" and he came running over, he goes, "Yes sir."

I said, "The coach says your practice is over but he said you could stay a little while.

Would you like to stay a little while?" "Yes." I said, "When I call you?" He says, "I'll be right there"

So he left and two of the three parents go, "How do you do that?"

I go, "Look at the size of you, are you kidding me?"

They're negotiating, the new psychology with kids is negotiate.

Buddy, that will be the day, I negotiate with a twelve year old.

Jeremy's nineteen, he's dislocated both my shoulders when we wrestle.

He's as strong as an ox.

He could take me and lift me overhead and twist me in two but I told him,

"If you get out of line I will find a pipe, a bat, believe me when I tell you it will not be time-out, it will be knock-out.

I don't care how old you are and you will never disrespect your mother.

It says honor your mother, that means she's like God before you buddy,

and the Bible says if you can't honor those you do see, you can't honor those you don't see.

So don't give it to me.

They're teaching kids now, if a kid wants something don't upset them,

even a two year old, give them something else.

Try that with your boss, "I need that report on Friday."

I don't want to, "Okay, give it to me Thursday.

You're fired!"

You're setting the kid up for failure.

You're not loving them, you're destroying them!

Judaism wasn't the problem; sin is the problem!

Sin is the problem! Sin is the issue! That's why we need a born again heart.

We need a new heart to get new transmission because a new heart does new stuff.

You need a new heart!

The heart has to be new and it has to be renewed!

That's why you must be born again!

That old heart can't work! The old flesh, you can't tame it!

It's physiology. It's on the physical plane, in the natural world.

You can't turn fat into muscle. It is impossible.

If you go to a gym and you talk to a trainer and that trainer says,

"I'm going to turn that fat into muscle," run!

He's an idiot.

You can't do it! You can't convert fat to muscle.

Fat has to be reduced and muscle has to be increased to change the composition to bring better health.

That's why he said present yourself a living sacrifice. (in Romans 12:1) It must be crucified.

The flesh can't do nothing right! It has to be burned. You can't baptize the flesh!

The flesh can do nothing right, the spirit can do nothing bad.

That's why when the Holy Spirit is moving and you're convicted, you're cut to the flesh, not the spirit.

Your flesh is saying, "It hurts" and your spirit is saying, "Hallelujah, go with it, die, die, die!"

Judaism says there's one God.

Judaism says don't make no idols.

Judaism says don't make no false vows.

You give your word - stick by it.

Don't sign nothing, you don't need an attorney.

Be a man, keep your word and if you can't keep your word shut your mouth.

Keep the Sabbath holy, it hasn't been changed.

Honor your mother and father. Don't commit murder. That's Judaism!

Any decent pastor will tell you the Ten Commandments are still alive and kicking!

He didn't nail that to the cross!

They get that from Colossians where He nailed the written code.

The written code is known in the Greek as the book of your sins!

If He nailed adultery to the cross, have at it!

It makes no sense!

It's not giving up the commandments of God.

It's taking in Yeshua. It's repenting and being in mercy's name, and getting a new heart,

and getting the power of the Holy Spirit!

The power of the Holy Spirit helps you walk out what the Bible's asked you to walk out

but didn't get the power to do!

Therefore when you walk it out God gets the glory!

This is not deep; this is belief 101. This is kindergarten.

There's nothing deep about this; it's basic.

"But to as many as received him" (John 1:12) What are you converting them to?

They need to receive Yeshua. There's no capstone. There's no roof on the house.

He's the covering.

They need to receive Yeshua and receive the new heart, and receive the Ruach.

"to those who put their trust in his person and his power," (John 1:12) He's the connection.

He's the connection. That's why you have the Messianic symbol.

This is the symbol for Christianity.

First century believers had this symbol.

It's all over Israel.

It's on pottery, it's on glasses, books have been written.

Not the cross, the cross was the means. This is the symbol of belief.

This is man pointing down to earth.

The fish, where are the fish?

We're the men, we're on earth.

God, the seven spirits of God, the perfect spirit of God is in heaven.

How do you connect man with God? Through the Star of David Yeshua,

and when that's connected the Holy Spirit is moving from God to us.

"he gave them the right" (John 1:12) It's a privilege.

I don't like to think of inviting Yeshua,

like my tabernacle's so special that He needs an invitation to come here?

It's a privilege of the highest order that He would allow me to call Him Messiah,

that He would give me the opportunity to call All Mighty God, the Creator and sustainer of the universe.

The one where people are burned up in His presence.

The earth opened up and swallowed 250 of His own people.

I get to call Him Daddy.

It's the privilege of the highest order, the right to become children!

The right to become children. You had no right! I had no right!

Yeshua did that and now, All Mighty God, I get to call him Daddy!

"not because of bloodline," (1 John 1:13) It's not physiology. It's not a matter of being a Jew or a non-Jew.

Not "physical impulse" (1John 1:13) It had nothing to do with human passion.

It wasn't our passion to be born again or human intention; it wasn't our plan.

"but because of God," (1John 1:13) Because of God, it's all about God.

Do you think that I would have thought for a millisecond when I came to Macon to talk about thirty people,

that it would turn into something worldwide with people all over the world getting blessed with our ministry?

No, I still wouldn't even brag or boast.

It's if you knew me that would bring glory to God, if you just understood it!

It brings so much glory to God!

I'm an imperfect mess.

I've got a ton of issues.

I mean well and try my best but that not, it's God who has done all of this!

Everything good is from God!

Jeremiah 31, this is where you find the new covenant. You should know this.

There are only five covenants in the Bible, five, only five, not a hundred and five.

Our book is not big, our holy book is not big; it's small.

You might think our Bible is big compared to cliff notes but it's not compared to religious books.

It's small and you've got five covenants, and this is the most...

I don't know if I'd say the most important. The most important is the Abrahamic covenant.

That's the most important because that's when He decided, "I'm going to save the world."

Abraham, you're going to come with me. You're going to birth a nation.

That nation's going to birth Messiah, and through Him all the nations of the earth are going to be blessed. (see Genesis 12:1-3)

But he had to fulfill that covenant. He had to fulfill it! And He fulfilled it with the new covenant in Jeremiah 31.

'I'm gong to make a new covenant with Israel and Judah.' (see Jeremiah 31:32)

Not like the one I made with their forefathers, when I led them by the hand out of Egypt,

although I was a husband to them. (see Jeremiah 31:32) So intimate, so beautiful.

You're not going to see it up there. I'm just quoting it.

He led them by the hand. (see Jeremiah 31:32)

He said that, "I will remember their sins no more.

I will forgive them and I will write my ways on their heart and fill them." (see Hebrews 8:7-12)

Then he goes on to say, "This is what ADONAI says," (Jeremiah 31:35)

Jeremiah is saying, "Who gives the sun as light for the day, who ordained the laws for the moon and stars

to provide light for night, who stirs up the sea." (Jeremiah 31:35)

He's trying to say Adonai Tzva'ot, the Lord of heaven's army, the powerful God, the Creator of the universe,

he's speaking on His behalf.

He's setting the stage. He's saying, "This is not coming from me, this is not some revelation.

I'm speaking on behalf of God. Thus saith the Lord."

He says, "If these laws leave my presence," (Jeremiah 31:36)

If you get up in the morning and you don't see the sun ever again,

you don't see the moon, you don't see the stars... that's what he's saying.

"Then the offspring of Isra'el will stop being a nation." (Jeremiah 31:36)

In other words they'll always be an identifiable remnant of the Jews,

and the highest order of Jews are Messianic Jews!

They're complete!

Not only do they have the birthright, not only are they chosen, but they have Messiah.

I have to maintain my identity; I have no choice!

I can go to any church.

Next week I'm going to a big church to teach about end times and they're my brothers.

I don't hold them in less regard than a Jewish believer.

Not me! Others maybe; that's between them and God.

Not me, I could care less.

I've led thousands and thousands to the Lord by the grace of God.

You know how many Jews? A dozen.

They're the hardest people besides Muslims to preach the gospel to, bar none.

Bar none, the toughest. And if you do it wrong you lose them out of the gate.

Let me ask you something.

How many people have led a ton of Jews to the faith?

I rest my case.

They don't have to, in fact, they have to maintain their identity.

I so worry when people lead them to the faith and the next thing I know, Hanukkah's gone, Christmas is there.

They're eating pork to their hearts' delight. They're not raising their kids in the ways of Judaism.

What a witness to their family.

They're going against the very word of God.

They have to maintain their identity but understand something, and I tell this to my Jewish brothers,

even those who have that have been believers a lot longer than me.

There is a fine line between identity and idolatry.

I'm a Messianic Jew, Messiah first, you follow?

If I put Him last then I'm a Jewish mess, you follow?

There's a fine line. Even some of you that feel grafted in, feel called, feel called to observe the feast,

because you feel from Ephesians 2, you're one new man, you're part of the commonwealth of Israel.

Man, my hat's off to you because you're provoking my people to jealousy by doing what you're doing.

That's the right thing to do. But by the same token some of you are nuts,

and some of you take on this Jewish identity and it becomes your idolatry,

and I'm telling you be careful.

Be careful, there's a fine line.

Last but not least, 1 Corinthians 7:18-20, look at what it says!

"Was someone already circumcised?"

Back in the day only Jews were circumcised.

You know they hung Yeshua up naked. You know that?

But they always show him with a loin cloth in certain faiths, you know why?

Satan's little way to hide that he's Jewish.

You've got the statue of David. Isn't he naked?

So it's not a matter of being protected.

Satan is the deceiver of the brethren and he's done a wonderful job and I know he hates me.

He hates me because I expose his crap and I've got news for him, I hate him just as much.

So we have a beautiful relationship.

He hates me and I hate him and it will always be that way.

"Was someone already circumcised when he was called?" (1 Corinthians 7:18)

Was somebody a Jew?

Then he should not try to remove the marks of circumcision.

What are you converting him to? What do you want him to be?

"Was someone uncircumcised when he was called?" (1 Corinthians 7:18)

Then he shouldn't undergo b'rit-milah. That was the big discussion.

A lot of the Jews were saying, "You've got to be circumcised."

No! Jews have to be circumcised.

No you don't! And there are people that believe that, but it doesn't say that in your Bible!

What's circumcision?

Now everybody's getting circumcised because it's healthy, it's right.

I had a friend that his three kids weren't and they had massive illness so bad,

the poor kids were screaming in pain and they had Medicaid, but just because they had Medicaid

doesn't mean that the doctor has to accept it. Did you know that?

They couldn't get an appointment so I called up a friend of mine who is a surgeon, urological surgeon,

and the minute he saw my call on the call identify he just goes, "What do you want now?"

That's how he answered the phone.

He calls me Gandhi Berg, he says, "You're the most expensive poor friend I've ever had in my life."

I've called on him for more, he ends up being one of my best friends for over twenty years,

but I've called on him for so many things.

So many things and he's been a blessing.

In fact, they put that there.

"Was someone uncircumcised when he was called? He shouldn't undergo b'rit-milah." (1 Corinthians 7:18)

Being circumcised means nothing.

You have to be circumcised in the heart.

The bottom line is how you walk.

Kippah yourself, put on tzitzits, who cares?

You've got to walk out the commandments; that's where it's at.

The law, yes, where's the law? Exodus 20 to 31, the book of Leviticus and Deuteronomy.

But some things only apply to things in the land, some things are ceremonial and they're not moral.

Morality is crucial.

When it all comes down, morality is crucial.

Are the feasts for Israel? Yes, absolutely.

Do I think that people that are grafted in are part of the commonwealth of Israel? Yes.

Do I think then Israel's God becomes their God?

Yes.

Then do I think that God's feasts should be theirs?

Yes.

Are they going to lose their salvation over it? Absolutely not.

I think they'll lose a really good party.

I think they'll lose an opportunity to see God's Spirit drop on those days

because God does certain things on certain days.

He could do it any day and I've felt God's presence just about every day of my life praise God,

but there's certain times when He calls a holy convocation where He's going to show it in a mighty way,

and you guys have felt it.

Would I be arrogant about that? No! No!

If some of you guys want to come to the party, that's okay.

What are you getting mad at them for?

You're at the party, have a good time.

Why are you forcing everybody to come?

Why don't you just enjoy yourself?

I mean the same way that you should just look at your own sin and not everybody else's,

look at your own righteousness and happiness.

Focus on you.

Focus on you and yours, your little tribe.

You'll be much better off and it'd be less heavy for it.

I'm going to challenge you with something.

That's all I'm going to do, so far we've got one done.

We have nine to go but I had to lay a foundation.

I used to be in a rush because I always live my life like this is my last day,

so I felt obligated to give you as much as I could because I always felt like this is it,

and that's how I've lived my life.

Some people think it's crazy, some people think it's morbid.

I go to bed at night kissing them all and blessing them all because I don't know if I'm waking up in the morning.

If you know you're waking up then you're better off than I am,

but I can't guarantee it and neither can you and that's how I live my life, okay?

I was going to give you a challenge tomorrow.

This is what I want you to do.

I was going to ask you to do it for an hour, I want you to do it for the whole day.

From the time you wake up in the morning to the time you shut your eyes don't complain.

Listen to me, no matter how, whatever happens, whatever phone call you get,

whatever horrific thing happens, I want you to not complain.

And you tell me next week if you didn't go to bed feeling lighter, happier, and wonderful and closer to God.

No complaints, not about nothing.

Not about your situation, not about the government, not about nothing, you hear?

Do it tomorrow, all right?

Then if it works for you try it Monday, okay?

Can you handle it or should I just give it to you for an hour?

You're already complaining about not complaining.

You're like, "I'm not going to do that. I don't care what he says. He's not my father!

I'll be damned if I'm not going to complain, I'm going to complain.

Who does he think he is?

What right does he have to tell me not to complain?

I'll complain with the best of them.

His people have complained for years."

All right, so keep me in prayer for next week.

We'll go over a couple more because we've laid the foundation.

If you want to get the foundation a little bit more get a CD.

If you can't afford the three bucks, is it four now?

Okay, it's actually $3.99, there's a penny temple tax.

Then really, I'm not trying to be facetious, if you don't have it just take it.

I know that I've met people, especially down here where there's not a lot Jews, and somebody will say,

"Yeah, I don't like Jews, I once met one in college."

Do you know what that's like saying?

I met a Mexican once and he was giving me some difficulty so I don't like Mexicans.

Do you know unbelievably weak and disgusting and deplorable that attitude is?

How unbelievably judgmental and wrong, how un-Messiah like that is?

What if you meet somebody and they're just having a lousy day, or a lousy week, or a lousy year?

Can't you give them a little benefit of the doubt?

I mean can't you give them a little grace?

Why do we ask God to look at us through the eyes of grace

when we look at everybody through the eyes of the law?

I know it's not always easy because some of you make it real difficult.

But overall, really, I'm going to tell you, and I know this sounds like Jewish people are not only nice

but they've made so many contributions to the world.

Do you know this little country of seventy nine hundred square miles has brought

35% of all the Nobel prizes in physiology and medicine to the world?

You must know somebody on insulin right?

They'd be dead.

It's just incredible and not only that but for the believing community salvation is from the Jews. (John 4:22)

You can't, you've got to be crazy, they're really nice.

In the fifties and sixties, I know this, for a fact,

non-Jewish mothers would tell their daughters to marry Jewish guys.

In New York, I'm telling you, they'd say three things.

Now it's changed a little bit in Judaism, it's changed, the 70's and the prosperity of the 80's and 90's changed,

but back then they would tell their daughters,

One, you'll always be financially provided for.

They're going to go to college. It wasn't even an issue, "Will I go?"

You know how we feel about manual labor right?

Did you ever hear of like Hershberg's, Rozenberg's construction company?

We built the cities for Pharaoh, done. We're going to college.

That's our trade, college.

They say, "Marry a Jew" really I know.

My sister's friends, the mothers, I would hear it,

"Because they're provide for you".

Two, "They're not going to run around on you, they're loyal."

In the orthodox community it's still 99% divorce-less.

Now there might be some struggles there but it's just not part of the culture.

It has become part of the culture and I'm not, look, please don't do this to me:

"Well, I was divorced."

Look, what happened, happened, it's under the blood, leave me alone, okay?

I'm just trying to teach you something.

"They'll be great with the kids."

We almost make fun of them in our family because the women railroad them.

Whatever they want they get.

They're just nice guys.

Look, Jewish guy's sitting in a bar.

See I couldn't do this in the beginning but I can do it now and then we're done.

I'll just leave you with a little funny.

Jewish guy is sitting at the bar and he's staring at a drink and very, very Jewish looking, very tiny.

He's not in the right bar and this biker walks up to him. You know the type.

I used to live in New York and I used to live downtown by the Hell's Angel's club.

You know the type, big, giant, very hairy, very you know what I mean, just scary,

and he walks up to him and he grabs a drink, slugs it down, smashes it onto the bar and goes,

"What are you going to do about that Jew boy?"

He just looks at him and starts crying and the guy's taken back by the wailing of tears

and he goes, "Whoa man, what's up with you?"

He says, I'll tell you, "I went to work, I was late again, my boss fired me,

so I left dejected, I went to get my car, I parked in an illegal zone and it was towed.

I couldn't get home because my wallet's in the car so I walked to the bank

only to find out that my identity was robbed and I'm penniless.

So, I'm walking home, I finally get home, I open up the door, I yell to my wife,

there's a note that she left me. So I came to this bar to just put an end to it.

I was staring at my drink, trying to get up the courage, then I took out a cyanide pill,

I broke it, I mixed it in, just as it dissolved you come over and drink my drink.

He says, "You know what, enough about me. How's your day going?"

Let's stand together.

If you came for the first time at least you could say, "You know, he's a little funny. I don't believe his theology."

Laughter is good medicine.

I am one of the firmest believers in the universe that life is short.

You'll never meet anybody who believes in the kingdom coming, and the eternal kingdom,

and also believes that this life is short.

When I watch people fight and fuss over minor issues it breaks my heart.

I watched my father, I tell you, I mean he was so close to me.

He was a tough guy, the toughest guy I've ever met in my life.

I don't think anyone's tougher than that guy and he wouldn't communicate like I do with my kids,

it was a different kind of a guy, you know, World War II, hundreds of kills, missing in action, that whole thing.

They were a different breed, a different caliber of men, but I always felt like he would protect me,

and when I watched him be carried out in a black bag in the middle of the night when I was a little boy,

I just said, "You just don't have time to fuss and fight."

Do you hear what I'm saying?

With all that I'm telling you take heed.

I know sometimes things are up and things happen but make up quick.

Don't spend your life miserable it's just too dang short, okay?

You guys have a great weekend.

"May the Lord bless you and keep you.

May the Lord make His face to shine upon you, and be gracious unto you,

and may the Lord lift up His very countenance upon you and give you His peace." (Numbers 6:24-26)

in the name of the Prince of all peace, Yeshua.

(Singing in Hebrew) Y'varekh'kha ADONAI v'yishmerekha.

Ya'er ADONAI panav eleikha vichunekka.

Yissa ADONAI panav eleikha v'yasem l'kha shalom.

I love you, Shabbat Shalom. We'll pick it up next week.
