Medical Examiner Reveals Lil Peep's Cause of Death - Duration: 2:13.

What's up, guys?

Beija here for Complex News.

Lil Peep, born Gustav Åhr, passed away on Wednesday night, November 15.

He was just 21-years-old.

Peep's body was found on his tour bus in Tuscon, Arizona where he was on the road for

his Come Over When You're Sober Tour.

Pitchfork reported the Pima County medical examiner's office as saying Peep's cause of

death was a drug overdose.

Peep has been known to abuse drugs, particularly xanax.

An official cause of death won't likely be released until a toxicology report is undergone,

which on average takes 6-8 weeks to complete.

Fans and celebrities alike took to social media to pay their respects and share their

condolences to the 21-year-old artist.

Uzi Vert said:

"We Would love 2 stop .....But Do You Really Care Cause We Been On Xanax All Fucking Year

..Rip Buddy I 100% Understand and I Don't Fault U"

It seems Uzi is looking to Lil Peep's death as a wake up call and is attempting to stop

his own drug use.

"Sober 2 day I have been shaking.

I have been cursing my love ones out and fighting In the studio with no thoughts in my head

Teeth biting down because I just wanna be angry at something ......maybe I will just

smoke weed tonight"

Others have also taken Peep's death as a lesson on drug use and mental health.

"Lil peep was crying for help and abusing drugs and still none of us knew this is really

a wake up call for everyone.

Apple Projected to Invest More Than $4 Billion in Original Video by 2022 - Duration: 1:20.

Just in case Hulu, Amazon Prime, or Netflix aren't suiting your streaming service needs

for you, Apple could be getting ready to launch their own platform in 2022.

According to a projection by venture capitalist firm, Loup Ventures, Apple could be backing

their own original content with 4.2 billion dollars by 2022.

That would represent an enormous jump from their current investment level of 500 million

dollars.

This aggressive jump in funding their video department comes as Apple is trying to rebrand

their current subscription based music streaming service with their own videos.

Currently Apple has roughly 30 million subscribers, which would easily jump over Hulu who provides

services to 12 to 15 million people.

Something that would set Apple apart is that it's reported they will avoid licensed content,

unlike any current subscription video or on demand suppliers.

However the same Loup Ventures report also estimates that Amazon will outspend both Apple

and Netflix by putting 8.3 billion dollars into their platform within the same timeframe.

Netflix currently spends the most on their original content.

With all these new streaming platforms shedding dough into what the next binge sensation is,

we're bound to get some great TV in the near future.

Lil Peep's Brother Says the Rapper's Death Was 'An Accident' - Duration: 1:30.

Just days after Lil Peep died from a suspected overdose, his older brother is saying that

his death was an accident.

Oskar Ahr spoke out about the loss of his brother and the misconceptions about the rapper's

life.

He told People Magazine,

"We [the family] have heard there was some sort of substance he did not expect to be

involved in the substance he was taking.

He thought he could take what he did, but he had been given something and he didn't

realize what it was."

Oskar said that contrary to what everyone believes, Lil Peep was in good mental health

before he died.

He said the emo, drug-addicted persona was an act to sell music but that his brother

was actually a happy person.

"He was super happy with where he was in life.

It makes me laugh to think about the days we watched WWE together but [Peep] mentioned

how being a hip-hop artist is like being a pro-wrestling character.

You have to be an actor.

He gets paid to be sad.

It's what he made his name on.

It's what his image was in a sense."

However Lil Peep's brother did admit that he had a history of drug use but that it was

heightened because of the music industry.

Oskar told People that earlier on he didn't drink alcohol and that he can guarantee that

drugs would not be a part of Lil Peep's life if he was not immersed in that culture.

Lil Peep was found dead Wednesday on his tour bus in Tuscon, Arizona.

Pima County medical examiner's office said he died from an apparent drug overdose; however,

it will not be confirmed until toxicology results come back.

Woman With 'F*ck Trump' Truck Sticker Has Been Arrested - Duration: 1:35.

Hey guys for Complex News, I'm Natasha Martinez.

A Texas woman's pickup truck received national attention this month because of a large decal

on the back reading "Fuck Trump and Fuck you for voting for him."

On Thursday, the owner of the truck who was identified as Karen Fonseca was arrested.

According to Houston's KHOU, the woman was taken into custody for an outstanding warrant.

She posted bond and was released shortly after.

She told the news outlet that an officer approached her and said.

I'm not going to put handcuffs on you.

I'll follow you to your house, park your truck and come with us.

I go, 'A warrant?

I've been doing background checks recently, and they've all come out clear.

The warrant stemmed from an incident in 2015 in which Fonseca was accused of fraudulent

possession or use of identifying information.

The case was reportedly reviewed in July of this year, when the warrant was issued.

However Fonseca says she's convinced her politics had to do with her arrest.

I'm almost certain it does have to do with this.

People abuse the badge, and in my opinion, money talks.

When you're in politics, people know how to work the system.

The women's truck went viral after Bend County Sheriff Troy E. Nehls posted an image

of it on Facebook asking the public to identify the owner.

Fonseca and her husband Mike told KHOU that even with the arrest they don't intend to

remove the decal.

"No plans to take it down.

Unless he can show me where it says that in the law book, it's not coming down until the

weather takes it down or I replace it with something else."

While there is still no definitive proof that the President did intervene on the behalf

of the three basketball players, outspoken LaVar Ball went on record to say he didn't

have any help from Trump at all.

When asked about Trump's involvement, LaVar told ESPN's Arash Markazi,

"Who?

What was he over there for?

Don't tell me nothing.

Everybody wants to make it seem like he helped me out."

Here's what Trump had to say about that.

Now that the three basketball players are out of China and saved from years in jail,

LaVar Ball, the father of LiAngelo, is unaccepting of what I did for his son and that shoplifting

is no big deal.

I should have left them in jail!

The audacity of a sitting president tweeting about leaving American citizen in jail overseas

after not showing the proper amount of gratitude sent Twitter off.

This is @POTUS, tweeting that he should've left three collegiate athletes in a Chinese

jail because one of their fathers displayed insufficient fealty to him.

Focus on that, and not him picking a fight.

Focus on the behavior that is unacceptable.

Obviously, that these players are black and the father is black is not insignificant.

We are Trump's favorite targets, the coal for whatever cultural conflagrations he wants

to start.

But that he'd say that about any American citizens is beneath what that office used

to be.

"I should have left them in jail!" is not what a President should say about American

citizens.

You work for us, not the other way around.

UCLA freshmen LiAngelo Ball, Cody Riley and Jalen Hill, who had been detained in China

on suspicion of shoplifting, landed in Los Angeles on Tuesday evening and addressed the

media on Wednesday before being indefinitely suspended by the team.

During a show in Australia, Drake put aside his longstanding beef with Meek Mill to support

the rapper who was sentenced to 2 to 4 years in prison after violating his probation terms.

While engaging with the crowd, Drake spotted a fan wearing a "Free Meek Mill" t-shirt to

which he said, "Free Meek Mill too.

You right."

Meek and Drake's beef started after Meek accused Drake of failing to write his own music.

The two went back and forth for months and ultimately inspired Drake to clap back with

"Back to Back" in which Drake accuses Meek of piggy backing on his now ex, Nicki Minaj.

Now that all that is behind Drake, he's joining the numerous rappers who had shown support

for Meek Mill as he serves a sentence many believe he doesn't deserve.

One of those rappers is Jay Z who recently published an op-ed in the New York Times explaining

that Meek's sentence is another example of the racial injustices that dictate the American

criminal justice system.

"What's happening to Meek Mill is just one example of how our criminal justice system

entraps and harasses hundreds of thousands of black people every day."

Rumors have surfaced that Jake Gyllenhaal might end up assuming the Bruce Wayne/Batman

mantle as Ben Affleck looks to gracefully exit the role.

This isn't the first time we'd heard rumors of Affleck possibly being done with playing

the role of Batman.

Talk of Affleck dropping the character coincided with word of him no longer directing The Batman

which is now being directed by Matt Reeves, and the script he wrote for the film is no

longer being used.

Even his brother Casey lowkey appeared to confirm that Ben was done as Battfleck.

During a recent interview with Extra, when asked about how many times he will play Batman

(comparing it to the five times he's hosted Saturday Night Live), Affleck said, "We'll

see what the future holds."

The latest rumor regarding Affleck's future on the Batman comes from John Campea's podcast

where he answers a question regarding what would happen to Batman if Affleck

steps down.

According to Campea, Jake Gyllenhaal's the guy that was on the top of the list, especially

for The Batman director Matt Reeves.

It's no secret that Affleck wants out as Batman, but considering Justice League opens this

weekend, I still think we're a long way off from casting a new dark knight, but it's still

Harvey Weinstein Had a 'Hitlist' of Industry Figures to Keep Sex Scandal from Going Public - Duration: 1:49.

The film industry continues to unravel after Harvey Weinstein's sex scandal came to the

light.

Now, it's being reported that he had a "secret hitlist" of prominent film industry figure

that detailed the extent of knowledge each individual had regarding Weinstein's sexual

assault history, including whether or not they intended on exposing him.

The Observer obtained the list and was the first to report on it.

The list is a detailed account of over 90 actors, publicists, producers, financiers,

and others working in the film industry.

It was reportedly compiled by Weinstein himself in 2017 and was meant to be used as a way

for investigators that he hired to target those who knew too much about his past.

After pinpointing the individuals on the list, the investigators would report on the information

collected to Weinstein and his lawyers.

The list was created months before the New York Times initially exposed Weinstein.

It just goes to show that many individuals in Hollywood knew of the producer being a

predator.

Weinstein reportedly knew The New York Times was collecting information meant to expose

him, which is likely one of the reasons he began compiling the list.

According to The Observer,

"More than 50 of the names have been colored red to highlight those who should be prioritised

[sic] by investigators – individuals Weinstein most keenly wanted to target."

One of those highlighted names was Rose McGowan, the actress who openly accused Weinstein of

raping her, Laura Madden, and Sophie Dix.

Again what the list detailed is that Weinstein had a network of people who were fine keeping

quiet on these acts against so many women.

As the accusations continue to mount, Weinstein has yet to issue a single admission of guilt,

despite the recent discovery of his "hitlist."

His lawyers have yet to comment.

The footage was obtained by a media outlet called The Blast

According to them, Jones was at a Dallas hotel in 2013 when a Cowboys fan, who

it should probably be noted is white, approached him and asked if he could offer a congrats

to his new fiancée.

At that point Jones looks into the camera and says

"Jennifer, congratulations on the wedding.

Now, you know he's with a black girl tonight, don't you?"

The camera then cuts away to a black dude who Jerry appears to playfully shove before

walking away with his coat over his shoulder.

Because of the lack of context i in the article, it's a little difficult to parse what exactly

is going on but, The Blast adds that:

"[W]e're told the fan recently shared it with his group of friends because he thought

the current temperature of race in the NFL and the country made Jones' comments relevant.

The friends were shocked after seeing the footage It was sent to The Blast because the

individuals involved thought it was important for NFL fans to see.

The source we spoke with said, "Fuck Jerry Jones."

On Friday evening, through the Cowboys, Jones expressed his regret at his remarks in the

footage.

"That comment was inappropriate," he said.

"It's not who I am, and I'm sorry."

As noted by the Dallas News, Hall of Fame cornerback Deion Sanders (who won a Super

Bowl with the Cowboys back in the '95/'96 season) quickly came to Jones's defense.

"I refuse to allow a moment to turn into a monument regarding a man I have known for

20 years, not just as an owner, but as a friend.

I won't cast judgment, on one moment when a joke went south, to capture who this man

represents in a lifetime commitment of love and compassion to all ethnicities.

A joke that was intended to add humor at the request of a fan in a lighthearted moment

was taken totally out of intent.

I'm sorry we're in this state of mind as a country, but if you're looking for a racist,

Jerry Jones is not that guy."

This was not a particularly great Friday for the Cowboys' head honcho as, earlier in the

day, a long-form story in ESPN the Magazine was published that seemed to detail a potential

civil war brewing amongst the league's leadership.

Jones has threatened legal action against the NFL if a contract extension for Roger

Goodell is finalized.

Tyrese Wins Court Case, Granted 50/50 Custody of Daughter - Duration: 1:14.

On Friday, Tyrese scored a big 'W' in his publicly playing out court case against his

wife, Norma Gibson, who he has been battling for custody of their 10-year-old daughter,

Shayla.

According to TMZ, the judge presiding over the case ruled that the former couple will

get 50/50 custody of their child, starting in January.

Also according to TMZ, the two have worked out a visitation plan that will allow the

Fast and Furious star to see Shayla during the holiday season.

As you have probably guessed by now (if you've been following this at all) this means that

the judge ruled against Norma's request for a permanent restraining order against her

ex-husband.

Tyrese didn't have much to say as he exited the courthouse.

He did repeat several times, in what appeared to be a half-joking manner, that Michael Moore

needs to call him because he has "700 hours of footage" that documented the whole ordeal.

He followed up with that theme later on social media.

Over the past few weeks we've seen a lot of drama in this case, from Tyrese blaming The

Rock for his monetary woes and family problems, to Tyrese going to the hospital for chest

pains after leaving the courthouse, to Tyrese making an emotional plea that he later said

was caused by a bad reaction to prescription medications.

Russell Simmons Accused of Assaulting Teenage Model as Brett Ratner Watched - Duration: 2:16.

Russell Simmons is one of the latest under fire for sexual misconduct.

Early Sunday morning, the Los Angeles Times published a shocking and detailed account

of model Keri Claussen Khalighi who claimed that she was sexually assaulted by Simmons

when she was just 17 years-old.

According to Khalighi Simmons and Brett Ratner had invited her over to Simmons' apartment

after a casting call and dinner.

She described Simmons making aggressive sexual advances and when she looked at Ratner for

help he did nothing.

"I looked over at Brett and said 'help me' and I'll never forget the look on his face.

In that moment, the realization fell on me that they were in it together.'"

She also revealed that Simmons attempted to have non consensual sex with her.

Shortly after the news broke Simmons released a statement disputing Khalighi's claims.

"As a long-time social activist, I have applauded the strength of the brave men and women who

have spoken out over the past month and made their voices heard regarding sexual assault

and harassment.I am a supporter of the #MeToo campaign and the victims who were previously

terrified to stand up and speak out against sexual misconduct.

I completely and unequivocally deny the horrendous allegations of non-consensual sex against

me with every fiber of my being."

He went on to say that everything that occurred between him and Keri occurred with her full

consent and participation.

However nowhere in the statement did he dispute that Khalighi was 17 at the time, and under

the California Civil Code that legally makes her a minor.

After Simmons made his statement, Terry Crews, who recently shared his own story of being

sexually assaulted, tweeted a screenshot of an e-mail that Simmons sent asking him to

give a pass to the WME agent who groped him in 2016.

"Message Russell Simmons sent to me regarding my sexual assault case against Adam Venit

of @WME:Dear @UncleRUSH——NO ONE GETS A PASS"

Russell Simmons e-mail read,

"Did he ever apologize.

Give the agent a pass.

Ask that he be reinstated.

With great love, all things are possible."

During a November appearance on Good Morning America, Crews publicly named Venit as the

hollywood executive who groped him.

William Morris Endeavor then put Venit on leave, and Crews has since filed a police

report.

Simmons has not directly responded to Crews' claims.

Country Music Hack Inserts Himself into the Ongoing NFL Protests, Releases 'Take A Knee My Ass' - Duration: 2:19.

Country music has-been Neal McCoy, seen here about to bury a stripper he got too rough

with, has forcibly inserted himself into the ongoing NFL protests by releasing the sleeper

heater of 2017, his come-back joint Take A Knee My Ass.

No joke, that's the title,

McCoy penned a tune that airs his disagreements with athletes who kneel during the national

anthem.

The song, which is, for real titled "Take a Knee My Ass," was recently unveiled as McCoy

played a live show in Branson, Missouri and has since been posted to FaceBook with over

3 million views

Let's take a listen,

If anyones asks I was kneeling that whole time.

There's nothing like delivering a lyric like "9/11 to Afghanistan" for some real grade

A pandering in an attempt to sell out

As relayed by The Houston Chronicle, the Texas-born performer says he felt compelled to write

it after a number of NFL players protested prior to their games, though a cynic might

be inclined to think he's just trying to capitalize on misguided outrage.

Furthermore, McCoy told KYTX-TV that the track was directly related to Colin Kaepernick's

protests, though that was probably just common sense that didn't need to be confirmed.

McCoy says he understands the cause that Kaepernick was kneeling for, but added that he believes

there's a different way to protest.

No suggestions were given in the song,

Can we hear that one more time?

The funny thing is that, nobody's asking you to take a knee, but way to make it about yourself

and try and make a buck in the process.

As critics of the take a knee movement -- started by Colin Kaepernick back in the pre-season

-- still can't seem to understand, this has nothing to do with the troops, the flag, or

the military.

You know what it's about?

It's about the oppression of people of color and ongoing issues with police brutality.

You know how we know that?

Because that's what Kapernick and others have said..lots of times.

But if Neal McCoy or Tomi Lauren or Sean Hannity or even the bed-wetter in chief want to continue

to ignore the actual reasons behind the NFL protests and pretend it's about honoring the

flag or the national anthem that's on them.
