S. Korea offers special visa waiver for Chinese around PyeongChang Olympics - Duration: 1:54.

More signs now that South Korea and China are patching things up after a months-long

row over THAAD.

South Korea's justice ministry announced today that some Chinese citizens will be able to

visit the country visa-free... to encourage more people to come to next year's Winter

Olympic Games in Pyeongchang.

Our Lee Jeong-yeon has more.

South Korea and China were deadlocked for the better part of a year,... with Beijing

imposing sanctions on Seoul in retaliation for the deployment of the U.S. THAAD missile

defense system.

But an improvement in ties became more evident Thursday with the announcement by the South

Korean Ministry of Justice.

Starting December 1st, through the end of next March, Chinese citizens meeting certain

requirements will be able to visit the country visa-free for 15 days.

This is to accommodate those coming around the time of next year's PyeongChang Winter

Olympic Games.

Some of these requirements... are that applicant must be a Chinese citizen who's had a Korean

visa issued in the last five years, with a record of traveling in and out of the country.

He or she must also have a ticket for the Olympic Games... purchased through a designated

Chinese travel agency, and be a holder of a regular government-issued Chinese passport.

However, if the applicant has been convicted of a crime in Korea, extradited or stayed

in the country illegally, their application will be turned down.

Those who are approved and then come into and out of the country in accordance with

the law... will be granted 5-year multiple-entry visas.

The move is unprecedented for South Korea.

Visa-free entry was never permitted for previous international events such as the World Cup

in 2012 or the Seoul Olympics in 1988.

Pundits say that temporary as the measure may be, it will have a significant impact

on the economy by bringing back masses of Chinese tourists.

S. Korea's intel agency says North's latest missile most advanced ICBM tested - Duration: 1:49.

South Korea's intelligence agency says it does not rule out the possibility of North

Korea conducting another nuclear test following its missile launch.

It also analyzed that the missile fired in the early hours of Wednesday morning was the

most advanced ICBM the regime has ever tested.

Kim Min-ji reports.

South Korea's intelligence agency says North Korea's latest missile is the most advanced

ICBM that it has tested so far.

At a parliamentary briefing on Wednesday,... the National Intelligence Service was quoted

as saying that it was an upgrade from the ICBMs the North has launched previously -- flying

higher and faster.

"The NIS said the distance flown was about 960 kilometers with an apogee of around 4,500

kilometers.

Given the high altitude and speed,... it appears to be an improvement on the Hwasong-14."

The spy agency's analysis is in line with Pyongyang's own statement which it made hours

after the test,... claiming a successful launch of the Hwasong-15.

The NIS said there were several likely reasons for the latest provocation -- to show that

the North can hit the U.S.,... to protest the sanctions against it,... and to solidify

internal unity.

It also said the test was foreseen given that Pyongyang was recently relisted by the U.S.

as a state sponsor of terrorism,... and that the regime has historically launched a provocation...

70 percent of the time when it has warned of a response.

(Stup) The spy agency added it cannot rule out the

possibility of another nuclear test either -- noting that North Korea's nuclear and missile

capabilities are progressing.

It said tensions could get higher,... should Pyongyang's provocations continue amid stronger

pressure from the international community.

Easy Low Carb Peppermint Meringues -- Minty Treats - Duration: 2:43.

Welcome all! Papa G here. Today I present low carbohydrate peppermint meringues. With only

four main ingredients this is a very easy recipe to make. These meringues are

so light and airy they practically melt in your mouth; while leaving behind a

nice peppermint freshness. Let's get started...

We'll begin with four egg whites; add a half a teaspoon of cream of tartar; this

will help stiffen the peaks. Now blend with a hand mixer. You want to get it to

the consistency of shaving cream.

Now while continuing to beat, slowly add a granulated sugar substitute equal to

two-thirds cup of regular sugar. Once the sugar has been incorporated, add a half a

teaspoon of peppermint extract. Blend until combined. Now this next step is

optional, but what I like to do here is separate the meringue into different

bowls to add some color. I'll only be using white and red here for this video,

but the sky's the limit with the different colors you can make; like green

for example; for wreaths or trees. If you want to be artistic with different

designs, then I highly recommend using a pastry bag, but you can also just dollop

them on with a spoon if you prefer. Add the meringue to a parchment lined baking

sheet either as a single mint or in special designs. Now I'm not very

artistic, but here I'll attempt to make some standard drops; Santa hats; and some

snowmen. You can be as creative as you like.

Place the meringues in the middle of a preheated 220°F oven for 45 minutes.

after 45 minutes turn the oven off and let rest for 60 minutes with the door

closed. When they come out, you'll have the lightest in area streets ever - plus the

whole house smelling of peppermint.

There you have it folks!

My low carbohydrate peppermint meringues. A very light and minty low carbohydrate treat. I hope

you enjoyed this video. If you did, please like and consider subscribing. I'll have

something new every week. As always, thanks for watching and I'll see you next time!

LFP 083 How to Play the Flute with Power | Learn Flute Online Video Podcast - Duration: 9:39.

Welcome to the Learn Flute Podcast where today I'll be sharing some big tips and hints

on how to play the flute with more power.

I'm Rebecca Fuller, and this is episode number eighty three!

Hello, hello, it's a great day here at Learn Flute Online- as usual.

When I said 'episode number eighty three' a minute ago, it surprised me that we've

already done this many episodes.

How exciting.

It has just flown by, hasn't it?

As you might already know, I work with many students of different age groups and ability,

so my job is fun fun and never boring.

One thing I particularly enjoy is helping trouble shoot someone's tone.

That means, I get to listen carefully to them play and then make a plan in my head for how

I can first of all, improve something about their tone quickly- right then.

And the next thing I do is make a game plan to help them strengthen their tone for the

future.

Basically, I like to give them an immediate fix, and then send them home with a new skill

or exercise that will give them the tone they're looking for, and is achievable within a few

weeks with consistent effort.

There are different types of tones that I hear including dry, airy sounds as well as

shrill and sharp.

But there's one specific type of tone we're going to learn about today that could possibly

change your playing life on your flute if this is something you are needing.

And, this is quiet and possibly flat tone… usually pretty thin sounding.

Small tone that has no power lacks color and vibrancy as well as dynamic range and depth.

Basically, it's a higher level skill.

Want it for yourself?

Even if you're not aware of it, almost everyone can use tips to strengthen their

tone, which some people think of as learning how to play louder.

Which is kind of the same thing.

So, let's get started!

Before I share the special tips I have for you today on this subject, we need to examine

a little more carefully the symptoms..

Haha, I feel like a flute doctor right now.

The symptoms are: thin, quiet, and possibly or usually with intonation problems.

This means that the pitches played are oftentimes flat or sharp from where they should be.

Now, the reasons flute players get into this funk or habit of playing this way is almost

always for one reason.

They are really working hard at clearing up their tone and not having any fuzzies or whispy

sounds in their tone.

So, what happens is that the flute player discovers that if they use a combination of

a few things, their tone clears up - it's powerless, but it's clear.

And, especially for a school band player, this seems okay because they like their playing

to blend in anyway.

Well, the problem with all of this is that it's a very hard habit to break - and full,

strong, open tone just isn't a possibility anymore.

The players find that if they tip their head joint in towards their face a bit and pull

back with their cheeks to stretch the aperture - you know, the hole in their lips, then it

creates a smaller hole.

This combination creates a smaller, and slightly sweeter tone….

Or at least they think.

The big tip here is to learn to keep the flute more level so that the angle of your air stream

is not so closed off.

Also, pulling the cheeks back and pinching into a tiny little hole does make it more

possible to stay clear, but tiny also means a tiny airstream..

And no matter how hard you force it out, it can't have much power.

Check yourself next time you go to play your flute.

Stand in front of a mirror and play.

How many dimples are showing?

Are your cheeks pulled back, your lips in a long stretched line, and on the verge of

a pucker?

Yah, that's a clue that you can use these tips today.

I like to demonstrate this in the learning videos in the Learn Flute Online modules.

It's a really important skill.

It's not the only important skill, but it is definitely on the top of the list.

Also, try blowing a nice long tone while experimenting with rolling the head joint out and in…

listen carefully to the size of the tone.

If you have the habit of playing the flute tipped in, you can definitely hear a difference

in pitch as you roll it out.

But, I should mention that this has two parts to it.

If you roll out and can't make any noise at all anymore, then it means you're pulling

back with your cheeks and super tight.

Hmmm.

Food for thought for sure.

The last tip I'll give you today is to realize that you can blow much, much harder on a flute

than you really thought was possible.

Really, if a student has properly done a study in forte (forte means loudly), then their

heart rate will probably be up, and they'll have an exhilarated feeling as if they just

did something really big and really cool.

Marcel Moyse, who is the father of modern flute playing was probably the first to put

into writing that we flute players need to use our abs.

It's true!

We need to engage the abs and this will force the air out at a faster speed, thus increasing

the 'loudness'.

The trick then is to teach your lips how to behave so that the correct octave will

happen.

Remember, those loose cheeks and lips.

Haha, well I think I could go on for three days straight on this subject, but let's

give it a rest here and let it bounce around your head for

a while.

Remember that the best way to make a new habit is to take small bites and chew often.

Quick review now: Number one: keep your lips supple, soft and

your cheeks loose instead of pinched and tight

Number two: Keep the head joint nice and level..

If your head joint is lined up perfectly with your keys, then the keys will be horizontal

and parallel to the flat ceiling not tipped back.

Number three: engage your abs.

Push in on your belly button so the air is forced out of your mouth at a faster rate.

And, number four: make these previous three things a habit, and then come back for more

and I'll tell you the rest of the recipe.

It's so good to have you here.

You're experimenting faithfully, hopefully having fun, and enjoying the process of being

a learner.

get 24/7 access to thousands of learning videos all designed in progressive order in a very

LIVING THE LIFE OF A MONK - Duration: 22:40.

You like the weather?

No! Fuck...

Hello...

Hey! Where are we going today?..

We are going to do what is called a... (turn around)

A "Templestay"!

We are going to pass the week-end in a temple

You remember we've already did

an activity which was baseball and then another which was the visit of

the k-pop thing. And now this is another activity offered by

the university : so 2 nights and 3 days in a buddhist temple

which is at 3 hours from here by bus so it is early in the morning...

Too early for fred... Yes...

The temple is called the JIKJISA Temple

And as I said earlier, it is pretty far away from Seoul, around the center of South Korea

near Daegu

Yes

We are dispatched in teams

We are team two and each team has 4 members

And we also have team leaders

10H11 : let's go !

12H29 : time to eat!...

How is the Korean food Fred?

Bad...

Why? Explain!

The sauce taste awful... And they put too much of it...

Which makes the thing disgusting...

Fuck!... You're disturbing!

11H41 : arrival at the temple

We've just arrived at what will be our house for the next days and nights

So Fred you show us around?

So there is rooms for each teams

we are team 2

Put off your shoes before entering!

So we live here in...

4 squared meters... 4 men...

It will be fine, it's just for a few nights!

You're right, just for sleeping

What a big room! Yep!

You saw everything...

Can you make a tour of the room fred?

Yep follow me...

Annnnnd... Done!

Here we are now in traditional outfit!

Composed of large pants, polars

and of... jackets?...

Learning how to do the "3 bows" in front of buddah

Constructed in 1735 : the main temple is a national treasure

So now they are going to explain to us the temple etiquette

What we must and mustn't do during the week-end

SUNIM : means the elder monk responsible of the temple

HAPJANG : joining hands in a respectful way

CHASU : join hands this way while walking around the temple

Meditation position

legs crossed / hands joined / harms sticked to your body / straight back / head up

AGAIN THE 3 BOWS

17H04 : food

Fuck... Fred... Oh my god you're such a kid...

Your plate is prettier than mine...

True

Each day, monks play 4 instruments

They play for the elements and everything that lives

In the air, on the ground, in water...

The camera has very bad nightshot quality so I corrected the image (so what you will see is not daylight)

"Singing" mantras

Debriefing of the dayyyy!

*Jingle*

20H02 : debriefing

We discovered our rooms

Then we made a tour of the temple

They explained a bit about temple history Then we turned around joining hands

There is two pillars in front of the

main temple : these two pillars have a signification

for buddhists and you have to walk around them

You can do this in two different ways : either 3 times or 108 times

So why 108?? 108 because we have 6 senses

(counting consciousness)

6 senses times 3 sentiments it gives

18 emotions possible

Then you multiply these 18 emotions by 2

Can't remember why...

And 36 times 3... 108!

That's why 108...

So either you choose to turn 108 times for a deep buddhist meening

either 3 times

And so the second most important number 3, why?

Because "past, present, future" and that

is why we multiply 36 by 3 by the way

So we turned 3 times joining hands

each time bowing in front of the pillars

They explained the temple rules to us : what we must and mustn't do

how do we practice meditation, how to pray, how to bow...

That is etiquette

Then we went to have a meal Was great!

When you eat here there should be no leftovers

You must finish everything : you take, you eat

You can have some more but don't spoil it

And we made the dish washing ourselves

What you saw in the video when we bow with pearls...

We made this 108 times ! Each time putting a

pearl on a thin rope (so there is 108 pears on it)

This is what monks use to make

prayers, and while reciting mantras they pass their fingers on the pearls

to count how many mantras they do. So there is 108 of them

to do : 108 pearls Anyway this si a beautifull

souvenir that we built ourselves, and not without pain!

Because 108 bow is very long and it huts!

Now we are back to our rooms With heating floor

Hell yeah heating floor!... So great !

So now we rare going to bed

It's 8pm We have to sleep at 9pm

And we have to wake up at ...

Basicaly we have to be in the temple where we did the necklace at 5:40am

No, 5:30am

No 40

Well, OK

Good night and see you tomorrow

Early and good mood...

So, how bad was your night?...

5:16 : hard to wake up

8:51 : walk in the mountains

Oh it's a GoPro ?

Yes, you know what it is ???

Debriefing of this morning! We woke up early

Then we ate lunch There was 4 bowls : in the first one (the bigget one)

There was rice In the second one we had soup In the third one we

had our chopsticks and the spoon and in the forth one we had the accompaniments

And then, wich was a bit strange

first the soup was cold and spicy Yeah weird taste ...

It was really hard to ingest Knowing that you can't let anything in the plate

You have to ate it all : event if you don't like it

And after there is water in the third bowl

with the chopsticks and the spoon This water,

once you ate everything, you use it to clean the

bowl in wich you have the rice, aliments, etc

first you put the water in the first, in the second, in the third and in the forth

and we then we asked : "but, where do we put the water once we finished?"

And, at this moment, we saw the monk drinking

the water from the cleaning and we realised that we

had to drink the water in wich we did the dishes and everything... And it was a moment really weird

It was not really good... And after we went

cleaning the temple and after we did a walk around the temple...

We climbed the mountain To see an other temple

Taking a walk in the park near the temple

Show to our viewers how comfy this bus is!

We just finished this experience, a week end lived in

buddhist temple. We hope that you liked

the video and you discovered a bit what it is

It was really good : I recommend it !

Honestly it was really cool : a good experience to do so

do it if you can, DO IT !

You say goodbye... You never say anything...

GOOD BYE

We will meet in an other video : good bye ! <3

No but ... I will let it like that ! That's it !

Oricum # Episode 4 - Matériel - Duration: 6:11.

We are all working on the big zone?

Yes

We go and come back.

Working gloves, made in Switzerland.

A little advertisement: "ForQ".

Can you see it?

ForQ means "For Quality"

They are gardening gloves.

It's like "Q" in James Bond.

It's a well know fact: for a successful dive, use gardening gear. Look. Here's the proof.

That's definitely not diving gear. It's a gardening tool.

What else.. ?

Gardening, look.

Perfect for digging up strawberries plants.

Our main task here is to scrap mussels off of relatively flat stone blocks.

This tool is well adapted for flat surfaces.

Then we have a wire brush.

To reach the white of the stone.

As it's limestone, it gets nice and white.

I started with this one, and it suits me.

With the edge, you can scrape the mussel off.

And then I wave to get rid of the mud.

For this mission, it's particularly simple.

We didn't need the boat, so most of the gear fits in these two baskets.

Here we have small surface floats that are originally used to help kids learn how to swim.

We use them to mark places where interesting stone blocks are.

They are anchored, and from the surface we know where the zone is.

These are the tools we use most.

They are gardening tools.

Small trowels.

Each of us has his favorite tool.

Usually, when you start with one, you tend to keep it.

And here we have different wire brushes.

We use them to get rid of the layer covering the stone.

Here we have something that we use everyday.

It's the aerial orthophotoplan of the zone.

It allows us to locate the different zones according to landmarks.

It was taken last year, and we clearly see the zones that were discovered thanks to the drone.

This year, we clean the structures to see if the stones can be identified.

The first time we used this small camera was on the island of Lampedusa, last year.

We released a marine turtle, and we thought it would be interesting to film the first minutes of its return to freedom.

It was strapped to its back.

We took care not to injure the turtle. It was also easy to take off before release.

So this camera was strapped on the shell.

This camera has a surprising feature: it records the diving profile.

It has a pressure gauge, so it records the depth reached by the turtle.

When the turtle was released, it stayed close to the surface. First it went down to 3-4 meters.

The further it swam away, the deeper it started diving.

This device was used on the push nets we trialed this summer, in the waters of the Étang de Thau. Close to where I live.

It's a wooden pole, with a metallic arch and a net.

You push it with a handle.

We used it to collect syngnathidae. Pipefish, which are the cousins of the seahorse.

You push the net through the seagrass.

And then Patrick Louisy, who is the specialist from Agde, uses it to asses the populations.

This pole is used to mount a GoPro camera to the pushnet.

Let me check if Krisztian is here. Because he doesn't like when we dig holes.

I dig holes.

I dig tunnels. Tunnels under the lagoon.

He's not here ? No.

For the delicate work, we use this.

For example, when you notice a hole in the antique stone block, it means there is a date mussel.

You destroy the block with that, to get the mussel, and sell it to a local restaurant.

Chut, he is here.

bones.

Osteoporosis makes your bones to become weak and fragile, thereby increasing the risk of

fractures.

You can follow certain diets and lifestyle changes to promote healthy bones and prevent

the risk of osteoporosis, or sometimes even help in managing the symptoms if you are already

suffering from it.

One of the best way is to follow a healthy diet that is rich in bone-healthy nutrients

like vitamin D, calcium, and protein.

Below are 6 foods you should include in your diet to ensure string and healthy bones.

Green leafy vegetables are rich with vitamin K and calcium, these are major nutrients your

bones need to stay strong and healthy.

You should always include greens in your diets like spinach and mustard leaves.

These vegetables will also provide you with fiber, vitamin A and iron, all these help

in keeping your energy levels up.

Fatty fish which are rich in omega-3 fatty acids are very healthy for your bones, this

is because the healthy fats help in reducing inflammation.

Tuna and salmon (an example of fatty fish) also contain naturally occurring vitamin D.

They tried Māoï - Alban Michon - Duration: 0:43.

My first feeling...

I was really wowed. At the beginning,

I didn't expect that, no.

First of all : classy !

Very classy! 3 strong points:

Hum...

Adaptability. It fits everywhere,

on every mask, for me

it's a very strong point!

Then, the innovation. It's new.

And there is a real advantage, that means,

you have all your information in front of you

it's gonna be scuba diving 2.0. We are on the scuba diving 2.0 !

That's it !

They tried Māoï - Elodie - Duration: 0:57.

So, the first feelings about this dive : it was amazing, it's just like

you're in a "James Bond" movie, with the information that appears in front of your eyes!

Visually, It's very comfortable. It's much easier and cool

than a classical dive computer!

We are rediscovering the dive parameters : how to exploit them, how to play with them.

The cherry on the cake was the compass, because sometimes, not necessarily in our pool,

but when we are diving in the sea, we tend to lose, so that's very useful !

I'm truly interested about that. Moreover, we have some dives where we have

quite blurry waters, so it's very cool to have the information in front of your eye

-------------------------------------------

They tried Māoï - Elvira - Duration: 1:03.

It's really cool to not have to check your wrist computer. Because now, you

have the computer in front of your eyes.

It's cool to see the ascent rate, and the depth you are

directly in front of you. Especially the compass, when you're looking at a point,

you know immediately the direction you're looking. It's very useful particularly

for the researches. It's something I liked very much.

It's gonna awesome! Because the only thing you'll have to do is to

push a button and have fun!

They tried Māoï - Evelyn - Duration: 0:53.

I had very good feelings about it ! Actually, this is a new way to dive.

A way that we are not accustomed.

We have the dive computer on the mask.

It avoids us to waste time watching our wrist dive computer : we have the information

right in the mask, so this is quite cool ! Displaying the compass is very cool too,

you can get your bearings, and that works!

This is easy to use,

this is not too heavy.

I think it could be interesting for many people, yes.

Global Thinking Foundation: Interview to Magda Bianco - Duration: 2:20.

The Bank of Italy is active

on the territory

with a series of activities for education

and awareness

dedicated to women in trouble

One example is the activities

in the project "Women Squared"

Mrs Bianco,

What do you think about such project?

I think it is a good

excellent initiative

at least for two reasons:

the first reason is that the project is directed to women

and this category, also according to the international surveys,

has lower financial literacy than average

but nevertheless,

women manifest an interest

a desire to learn and grow competencies

in this field

The second interesting aspect is that

this project is the product of a collaboration

among several institutions

public and private spheres

It was produced by the Bank of Italy, CONSOB

Women Squared and Global Thinking Foundation

Therefore, it is an example of how well

we can work

between the public and private sphere

I believe it will be important

to verify together the impact

of these activites

to build a good practice

exportable also to other contexts

In the whole country

a network has independently

and autonomously

taken form among civil society organisations

like Global Thinking Foundation

dedicated to financial education

Mrs Bianco,

what do you think about this?

It is an important future

It is actually true

In the country, recently several initiatives have started

for financial literacy and education

one year and a half ago

the Bank of Italy has conducted a census of these initiatives

with IVASS, CONSOB and other partners

we have counted around 200

they were very interesting initiatives

some initiatives were excellent

the problem is that, even today,

they tend to lack a systematic structure

they are very fragmented in some cases

even though their quality is high

This is an important moment

a national committee for financial education has been set

it will be the opportunity

to gather all these initiatives

and proceed with an approach that

lead to better and higher financial competencies

of the country.

New Report Emerges About Melania, Now Donald Trump is Getting Involved - Duration: 3:27.

New Report Emerges About Melania, Now Donald Trump is Getting Involved.

By Kailey Guillemin.

The relatively quiet first lady Melania Trump was once again brought into the spotlight

after Vanity Fair ran a story that portrayed her as having no desire to be the first lady

of the United States whatsoever.

Vanity Fair quoted a family friend source saying Melania, the most enigmatic First

Lady, wasnt prepared for President Donald Trump to become president.

This isnt something she wanted and it isnt something [Donald Trump] ever thought

hed win, the unnamed source claimed.

She didnt want this come hell or high water.

I dont think she thought it was going to happen.

However, President Donald Trump stepped in Tuesday to defend his wife, Tweeting his own

thoughts on the matter.

Melania, our great and very hard working First Lady, who truly loves what she is doing,

always thought that if you run, you will win. She would tell everyone that, no

doubt, he will win. I also felt I would win (or I would not have run) and Country

is doing great!

As both Trump and Roger Stone an early adviser to the president pointed out,

Melania was Trumps final push to run for president.

She was very clearly the one who said, Either run or dont run, Stone

told Vanity Fair.

Paraphrasing Melania, he continued to say Your friends are tired of the striptease.

Every four years you talk about it.

According to Stephanie Grisham, spokeswoman for Melania, the Vanity Fair piece is filled

with false assertions by unnamed sources.

As a magazine tailored to women it is shameful that they continue to write salacious and

false stories meant to demean Mrs. Trump, rather than focus on her positive work as

First Lady and as a supportive wife and mother, Grisham said in a statement.

Grisham continued to say that Melania is honored by her role, and has stated that fact on

the record many times before.

And if pictures and videos posted on Melanias Twitter account give any indication, the supportive

first lady seems to be enjoying her time.

The media has also previously criticized Melania since Trumps campaign for president, due

to her previous work as a model.

Since becoming First Lady, she has faced backlash on her fashion choices when visiting storm-ridden

communities, as well as being more reserved in her role than her predecessors.

Back in 2000, while being interviewed by The New York Times, Melania admitted that, should

Donald Trump become president, shed be a very traditional first lady.

From Active Mind to Calmness, Meditation Techniques - Eckhart Tolle - Duration: 6:30.

they were also two or three questions by people to home the stillness is yet only

a mental concept and so they asked it's great to hear about it but I've never

experienced the stopping of my mind my mind is continuously noisy compulsive it

continuously worries and thinks so what are you what can you tell me they asked

there are also a few questions on meditation the use the purpose

usefulness or otherwise of meditation and I'd like to bring the two together

the two questions

especially if the mind is incessantly active even here as you sit here

if you cannot notice the gaps if you cannot be attentive to the gaps now make

sure that this is actually the truth because you may actually notice the gaps

for a moment there may be a momentary cessation but because you're so used to

listening to your mind - the mind is saying no nothing is going on I don't

get it maybe you do briefly however it may be if your mind is as such

overpowering momentum meditation is a wonderful thing

there is a meditation there are different methods one could say of

course that being in the body is a kind of meditation feeling the inner body

directing attention into the inner body is a kind of meditation the way it's

presented here is in a non formal formalized way I just feel that and it

may be that people whose mind is extremely extremely active may need a

somewhat more formal approach to being in the body and so there's a beautiful

meditation technique Vipassana that directs your attention

slowly and gradually into the body so that would be a good thing to take up

the practice of that

they're also mantras if used rightly they should stop the mind and replace

all the various mental activities with just that the mantra and eventually of

course the mantra needs to come to an end and then the stillness is there

Buddhism has designed for hopeless cases

the counting meditation not hopeless no

the way you can't mentally from one to ten in ten to one or like maybe you

started to hundreds I don't remember but you just you can't backwards and

forwards and backwards and forwards and then that gives your mind something to

do but at least it becomes more focused in once the chaos of the mind has become

a more focused kind of noise it's easier eventually to drop it once the chaotic

noise has become focused noise you can more easily drop the bonds of noises

become focused then you could drop the chaos it's hard to drop with the chaos

except in great suffering

the aim of all meditation of course is presence
